Cheerful JAPAN! Part 4 – Nendoroid Rin & Len Kagamine: Cheerful Ver.!

From tomorrow until the 15th, GSC is taking a short summer vacation!

Some of the staff are going to visit their families, others are going away for the vacation… some are continuing with other work . 😛 To all those who go out in the summer heat, be sure to drink plenty of water and keep safe!

But anyway today we’re back at the table tennis table which has already become quite a mess again – but also has these new figures on it!

Cheerful JAPAN! Part 4:
Nendoroid Kagamine Rin and Len: Cheerful Ver.!

They are not sold as a set, they are sold separately.

In order to help support the relief efforts that combat the disastrous earthquake and tsunami that occurred on the 11th March, Good Smile Company created the Cheerful Japan! project to help out for many months to come. GSC and various other companies will be releasing charity products on the 11th of each month – these two are this month’s addition to the project!

Nendoroid Kagamine Rin: Cheerful Ver.!

The above image is in fact from the original Nendoroid Rin, but everything you see here will be included with the Cheerful version as well, along with a bunch of support items!

Plus as a bonus extra, the Cheerful version can use expressions from other Nendos!

She will cost 3000JPY with free shipping within Japan.

Let’s take a look at the extra parts that come with this Rin!
First up is her pompons!

Miku also came with pompons, but these ones are yellow to match with Rin and Len. If you use the pompons along with that smiling expression you almost can’t help but smile when you see her!

A whistle and hands to hold it!

Rin is making use of her whistle to help cheer everyone on! She also comes with a new hand so she and hold it!

Two support flags and a whistle to go around her neck!

The flags have the Cheerful Japan! logo and the GSC mark on them – you need to put the two flags together to make the complete image! The reverse side of the flags is blank, so stick on some of the included stickers, or write your own message on. The whistle around her neck is a separate whistle to the one she holds in her hands – you could even display her with both!

Nendoroid Len Kagamine: Cheerful Ver.!

Len also comes with all the parts from the original version as well as the set of Cheerful extras!

Plus he can also use other Nendo expressions now!

He will also be 3000JPY with free shipping within Japan!

Now let’s take a look at the extra parts that come with Len!
He also comes with pompons!

The color balance is perfect, which means posing the two of them together both with pompons looks great! Len looks a little embarrassed with the pompons – it really suits him!

A megaphone and hand to hold it!

While Rin gets a whistle to cheer everyone up, Len comes with a megaphone! This also makes use of a new hand part which lets him hold it to his mouth and shout out words of encouragement!

He comes with a speech plate!

There is one plate that is already printed with the text ‘Let’s all work through this together’ as well as a blank plate for you to write your very own message! (What exactly the plate will be made from hasn’t actually been decided yet, so it might look different to the one you see here.) Obviously you can display him without the plate as well!

A hand to hold the megaphone aside!

If you don’t want to have the megaphone to his mouth and instead just have him holding it, then you can use this hand instead!

Two support flags and a megaphone for his neck!

The flags have the same design as Rin’s, and also make up one image when put together. He can also hand the megaphone from his neck like so!

Millhiore F. Biscotti

A huge tower case in the GSC Offices!

These are used to display figures at events!

It’s Summer! And in Summer there are loads of events – there are in fact still loads more this month! Whenever GSC will be attending an event it always goes up on the Japanese GSC site, so do take a look if you’re in Japan! Summer has only just begun for us!!

On top of said tower case, I found this figure to play with!

Millhiore F. Biscotti!

Mllhiore is from the anime ‘DOG DAYS’ set in a world called Flonyard – she is in fact the Princess of the Biscotti Republic!

It really is very nice and big!

Millhi’s beloved mount, Harlan, is also included!

It’s almost like getting two Nendoroids in one! Harlan even has joints in her neck, both wings and both legs for posing fun! We’ll take a closer look shortly–

This is how they look from behind!

Millhi’s ears and tail are of course absolutely adorable! The fine detail on the dress is also very nice!

Let’s take a look at the optional parts that are included!

First up is a worried expression!

This is of course an expression designed to recreate the scene from the final battle in the anime. I’m fairly sure if anyone saw her with this expression they would be determined to protect her no matter what the cost!

In her hands she holds the sword, Excelied!

It might be hard to tell from this photo, but the sword has a nice metal paint which looks really pretty! (Oh, and the meat that Harlan is eating isn’t included, it’s my own personal toy. :P)

Moving on – a praying expression!

As well as bent arms and hands that are held together – a perfect recreation of the scene where she summons Cinque!

…and for some reason Harlan is flapping her wings about in the background! 😛

She also comes with a microphone!

As a side note, Millhi’s arm and hand parts are separate – plus there are loads of them! It allows her to take all sorts of nice poses! It also seems that Millhi’s singing has managed to calm Harlan down now…

She can also ride on Harlan!

Those who have seen the anime will know that Harlan is in fact a wonderful mount for Millhi – and the Nendoroid can recreate that perfectly! She comes with a separate lower body as well as reins for riding.

Harlan can also be displayed flying!

Nendoroid MEIKO

After WonFes, the GSC Offices…

There are lots of newcomers to the master figure shelf, but today we’ll be looking at this one!

From the Nendoroid Vocaloid Series:

Nendoroid MEIKO!

We’ve waited so very, very long!!! ･ﾟ･（ﾉД`）･ﾟ･｡

There have been so many requests for a Nendoroid of MEIKO, and now she is finally here to join the others! Of course the sculptor is the same as the previous Vocaloid Nendoroids – Yukiwo Ageta!

This is how she looks from the back!

Meiko’s sexy little outfit that shows around her belly is perfect in Nendoroid form! The boots also look all rounded and cute as a Nendoroid!!

Let’s move onto the optional parts!

First up is a singing face!

Definitely one expression that a Vocaloid Nendoroid just has to have! MEIKO seems so happy when she sings! I can’t help but smile when I see her with this face!

She also has a mike, mike-stand and hands to hold it!

I never expected to be able to recreate this kind of dynamic pose with a Nendoroid! As you can see, she makes use of the arm-type stand which allows for poses in mid-air like this one!

There are also a couple of extra parts used here!
A separate lower body for this pose, and bent legs!

MEIKO also just has to have a drunk expression!

Everyone knows that Meiko loves her alcohol, so she had to come with a drunk face with her eyes spinning around! It’s so cute! 😛 She also has a hand to hold the can included, as well as a different arm to her hip and a bent leg that just adds to the drunk look!

Nendoroid Miku Support Messages!

Hi everyone!

It’s Monday, and already August! WonFes has come to an end, but Good Smile is already well on it’s way with preparations for Chara-Hobby and Anisama which are coming at the end of this month!

Our advertising teams are working hard for the events, and as soon as more info is known it’ll be up on the GSC site!

In a blog not too long ago, I asked you all for your Miku messages!

I wanted to collect images of people’s messages they wrote on the transparent sticker that came with Support Miku!

Support Miku was a product released to support the relief efforts in Eastern Japan, and I hope that in some way the proceeds have managed to make a difference in the lives of those in the disaster areas. I’m also certain these messages will bring a smile to some faces!

I’m always reading your blog, so I decided to send through my support message! It’s not a great picture, but I hope the message reaches all those in the disaster areas, including my friend in Hachinohe. I’m sure that Miku’s smile will be able to bring a smile to everyone in Japan.

This support message comes from Oumigawa Station in Niigata Prefecture. This is one of the many places that was badly affected by the Chuoetsu offshore earthquake four years ago. (The uneven looking cliffs to the left are one of the few remaining traces of the quake.) The station was a complete mess after the quake – covered in sand and dirt, but now it’s back up and running just as well as ever. I’m certain that Eastern Japan will be able to recover just as well as this – it definitely affected more areas, but over time it will recover and be better than ever!

The earthquake this time around really was horrific. I live in Tokyo, and can’t believe that such tragedy was happening so close to me. My Support ver. Miku got delivered the other day, so I decided to display her with HMO Miku – I’m sure the two of them together can get through any hardships! 😛

My parents live in the 20km radius around the nuclear plant that is always featuring on TV, and thus have been moved to a city called Tomioka. I am living in Ibaraki prefecture, so I didn’t get hit by the disaster too badly myself, but my parents have had to rent out a new apartment. I went to visit them not too long ago, and all they had to say was ‘I’m really not sure if we can keep living here…”

I’m sure there are still thousands of people that are suffering from the effects of the horrendous earthquake. I thought long and hard about what kind of photo I could send through with the hope that it might bring a smile to their faces, and eventually decided on this one. My mother does flower arranging as a hobby, so I borrowed the flowers from her – I hope they will help make people throughout Japan be happier with smiles on their faces!

As I mentioned last week, today’s review will be of this giant!

And when I say giant… I mean GIANT! 😛

If you just catch a glimpse of it you could easily mistake it for a real little animal! It’s amazing to think that it’s actually a figure! Let me pick him up and take him off to my own desk to play around with now!

Kyubey Soft Vinyl Figure!

Kyubey is the magical creature that grants girls wishes if they make a contract with him and become magical girls – he is from the popular anime called Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

This is an incredible 1/1 scale figure of the little creature!

I believe this is actually Goodsmile Company’s first 1/1 scale product!

This is how he looks from the back!

His tail looks like a rugby ball from this angle! 😛 His tail also has it’s own little stand to avoid the paint rubbing off.It’s also posable so you can have it standing up like this, or at a different angle.

He is made from sofy vinyl!

Unlike other materials it doesn’t break easily, so you don’t have to be too careful with where you put him!

Gumako has finally started her countdown on twitter… as soon as she starts we all know that there is no getting away from it anymore! 😛

There seem to be some wonderful things piling up on Tsukki’s desk! I’m sure the giant creature he is holding the tail of is of great interest to you all, but today we’re going to be looking at the box next to it!

School Uniform Ver.!

Madoka is from the popular anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and comes wearing her school uniform from Mitakihara middle school in the special Wonder Festival Limited Edition version, which will be on sale at the ‘WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!! 14’ booth at the 2011 Summer Wonder Festival taking place on the 24th July! (Sunday)

It is in fact the first Madoka Magica Nendoroid that will be available to take home!

This is how the packaging looks!

She comes with three expressions, as well as arm parts holding Kyubey and a couple of other extras, all different from the standard Puella Magi version of Nendoroid Madoka.

Her twin-tail hair is fitted with Nendoroid joints so it can be moved around, allowing you to put it in the position that suits your pose! The big red ribbons in her hair are also lovely!

To those getting upset about that particular point – they are different versions of Kyubey too! This version is standing up while the other was in a sitting position!

Just look at his front paw! It’s so cute!!

You just to remove QB’s head from the standing QB and place it onto the other body in order to create this pose!

Aww, the paws in this version are just as cute!
The way his stomach is pushed outward with his paws apart – it’s just too adorable!

Moving onto her expressions – a frightened face!!

You can’t have a Madoka in her school uniform without this expression! It’ll be great to pose this together with Nendoroid Homura-chan and Nendoroid Mami!

She also just has to have a crying expression!

Which you can see above! 😛 The only part of Madoka from this version is the face – all the other parts are from the Puella Magi version of Madoka, which you’ll have to get separately! (sorry!)

But her expressions seem to fit a lot of Nendoroid, so you should be able to play around with them a bit!

Let’s give Mami-san the school uniform to try on!

The head is of course Mami-san’s, the body is from today’s Madoka figure and the legs are Yui Hirasawa’s! Maybe it’s just me, but I think it works very well together! 😛

The event preparations are all taking place on the table tennis table found in the middle of the GSC office.

That is also where I found this figure!!

I gave a few sneak peeks on twitter yesterday, but now I’ll give her the proper look she deserves! 😛

From Puella Magi Madoka Magica:

Nendoroid Mami Tomoe!

Mami is from the popular anime ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’, who is a third year student at Madoka’s school.

She is the third figure from Madoka Magica, following on from Madoka and Homuhomu! I know I shouldn’t say this about Good Smile Company figures that come out of, but…
She is absolutely perfect!! (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

This is how she looks from back!

You can see her twin tail hair has Nendoroid joints!

This means you can pose them far apart or close in for all sorts of dynamic poses! Also note the flower accessory in her hair – it’s so small, but the the middle of it is made using clear plastic which makes it look really pretty!

You can’t have a Nendoroid without loads of optional parts! 😛

First up is her musket!

Mami’s weapon of choice has been shrunk into Nendoroid form, but keeps all it’s finer details! Of course she comes with the hands to hold it as well!

I’m fairly certain there are a number of you that thought that! And you’re right!
There is no way she could only have just one musket!

She comes with a total of four!

Little holsters that stick into the stand made of clear plastic are also included so she can have them all around her, ready to fire!

Plus her first extra expression – an angry face!

It might be angry, but it’s still so cute!!

She can also be posed shooting the guns!

Perfect for posing her in combat scenes – two bent arms allow her to be posed like this! The shoulder, upper arm and wrist are all posable allowing for all kinds of posing!

Tiro Finale!

It’s really, really big! 😛

On this master figure the triggers (the orange bits) are also posable! I wonder if the the final figure will also be…! I hope so!!

Mami-san has to have her tea set!

A cup and saucer filled with tea and arms to hold them! It goes with her smiling expression perfectly!

Plus as you can see – her hat is removable!
I hope the final version of the figure keeps all these removable parts!

Nendoroid Ritsu Tainaka & Nendoroid Petite: K-ON Resale!

I really, really want Nendoroid Ritsu Tainaka – is there any chance we can see a resale of her?

I managed to get all the others when they went on resale, but Ritsu just never appears… The other band members say they are lonely and are leaving a tear-filled pillow every night. Or perhaps that’s just me…

… I’ve always wanted to say that!

And the reason I can say that is very simple! There have been lots id requests for a Ritsu Nendo resale, and thus she is indeed coming back again! Apologies for the delay!

The third K-ON Nendoroid:

Nendoroid Ritsu Tainaka!

She is of course from the ever-popular anime series ‘K-ON!’, and is the drummer in Sakura High’s light music club. Her going on resale also means that every one of the K-ON Nendoroids have gone on resale!

This is how she looks from the back!

Most Nendoroids released at the moment feature the ‘arm’ stand that pushes into the Nendoroid’s back, but to keep Ritsu consistent with the other four girls she still makes use of the ‘sitting’ stand. It’s a little different to the normal stand though – she actually stands on the ground and not the base – this is so that she doesn’t look off when posed playing the drums.

Let’s move onto the optional parts!
Her sobbing face and bump on the head!

Those of you who already own her will know – but the bump actually attaches with a magnet! Isn’t that smart!

It’s a little more work for the production team, but it means you won’t see a giant hole in her head when the bump isn’t attached. Tsukki from the production team came up with the idea!

A flustered expression and hands!

Perfect to recreate the pose above in Nendoroid form! 🙂 The hands were actually for use for the sobbing face, but I think this works great as well! Oh, and the cake isn’t included with the Nendoroid – it’s my own personal mini chocolate cake! 😛

The overdone drum set!

The hair is supposed to be displayed with the flustered face along with the ‘love letter’, to recreate a scene from one of the extra episodes, but I decided to use an expression from another character instead! Her expressions are exchangeable with a couple of other Nendoroids, so you can play around with them!

But wow… drums, three expressions, different hair, a sitting lower body… she really comes with a lot!

Nendoroid Miku Hatsune: Support ver.

Miku will be sent out to everyone soon!

Nendoroid Miku Hatsune: Support ver.!

She was the first product to be sold as a charity product to raise money to support the relief efforts in Eastern Japan – for each figure sold Good Smile Company donated ¥1000 to the Japan Red Cross Society.

The final amount raised by Miku was ¥74,465,000!

I think that number is a good sign as to how much people care about helping out those in need. Thank you to everyone, and know that your money will be helping out someone in the affected areas!

Anyway, let’s move onto the figure review!

This is how the packaging looks!

This version of Miku uses the original Nendoroid Miku Hatsune as a base, but adds on extra expressions parts and other optional parts – a cheering face, a flag and pair of pompons for her to show her support!

Cheering pompons!

The inside of the pompons are fitted with a balljoint so they can be posed at all kinds of different angles! This was actually added in by the production team, and it is a most welcome addition!!

This is how she looks from the back!

This version of Miku uses the arm type of Nendoroid stand – although she can actually stand on her own using her long twin tails – the stand just allows for an many more poses and more stability.

The pompons can be removed easily!

The same bent arm and leg parts included with the original Nendoroid Miku are of course included with this version as well! Plus you can’t have Miku without that lovely singing face!

She also comes with the Hachune set!

That includes the facial expression, a different fringe part and of course her leek to wave around! Just looking at that face makes me smile. ^^

A support flag shaped like a music note!

Colored the same bright orange as the pompons – it’s really a color that just shines with happy energy! Let’s all work together for tomorrow!

Plus the brand new smiling expression!
A face never seen on any Nendoroids before – you can’t help but smile after seeing her so happy!

And finally a quick notice – Mikatan blog is taking a vacation from tomorrow the 29th June until the 4th July, as the GSC team is going on a training course – which means the next blog update will only be on the 5th July (Tues)!

Nendoroid Homura Akemi

Who could be in today’s box?!

A few days back I did give a little sneak peak at this figure on twitter, but today will be the full blog review! Today’s figure is already up for pre-orders!!

From Puella Magi Madoka Magica:
Nendoroid Homura Akemi!

A Nendoroid of the mysterious transfer student who warns Madoka not to become a Puella Magi!

Homu-homu!! (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3
She is the second Nendoroid to join us from the Madoka Magica world!

This is how she looks from the back!

Homuhomu has very characteristic long black hair that is split down the middle – and as you can see it’s been put into Nendoroid form perfectly! She is dressed in her Puella Magi outfit which has been carefully sculpted to include all the ribbons and patterns from the original designs – and everything down to the finest detail is there!

The famous SHAFT pose!

Yay! Even Nendoroids can do the SHAFT pose now! Normally when you pose Nendos with the neck this far up you end up seeing the joint so it looks a bit strange, but it works great with Homura!

As you can see, the shield on her arm is removable!

Alright, lets move onto the optional parts!

First up her her upset face!

It really brings out a feeling of just how serious she is about what she is doing. It’s the perfect expression for recreating the famous battle scenes from the series!

And in her hand is the big bazooka!
Combined with the hands that her hold it, you can recreate the scene where she shoots the bazooka! Yay!

But Homura has to have her pistol as well!

Kyubey was included with Nendoroid Madoka!

He isn’t included with the Homura Nendoroid, so do keep that in mind – I for one think a scene with the two of them like this is perfect!

She also comes with a shy expression!
As well as separate fringe parts with glasses, and braided hair parts!

Homura is well known for her weapons, and so the Nendoroid comes with a total of three different weapons for her to use!!

With or without braids, with or without glasses and a choice of three different expressions – there really are a ton of ways to display her! Which parts would you choose!?

Aww, she is just too cute!! I really adore this expression… though the others are also really nice. It’s so hard to pick!!
