Nendoroid Naruko Aoba

When I was in primary school, I spent a very short time as a resident of Sendai! Today’s figure reminded me of the large decorations used there for Tanabata!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a product that went up today…

Nendoroid Naruko Aoba!♪

From the popular application, game and anime series, ‘Magica Wars’ comes a Nendoroid of Naruko Aoba! She comes with three expressions including an adorable smiling face, a confident winking expression and a chibi face to pose her swinging her mace around wildly!

The mace ‘Tanikaze’ is included along with her familiar ‘Takesuzume’. Even one of the enemy Magatsuhi is included to really bring out the atmosphere of the Magica Wars universe! Recreate your favorite scenes from the series!

Oooooooooohhh!!! (｡・д・｡)

An adorable magical girl with a cute outfit filled with elements from Miyagi prefecture! Naruko-chan is joining the Nendoroids! ♪

The hair accessory on top of her head and red ribbons on her arms are made in the image of the Miyagi Prefecture emblem! The hemming frills on her skirt and long streamers in her hair based on the Sendai Tanabata festival decorations have all been very beautifully shrunk down into Nendoroid size! Her colorful polka-dot skirt is based on Date Masamune’s jinbaori! ♪

It’s a very cute magical girl outfit even though it is filled with references to the actual Miyagi Prefecture! Nyaruko-chan’s weapon is a mace based on a ‘Kokeshi’ Japanese doll too!

She might be a Magical Girl, but she fights by swinging this around all over! (´∀｀)The mace is called ‘Tanikaze’, and her ultimate attack is to attack in full swing causing a huge amount of wind pressure to defeat her enemies!

As she is a magical girl, she also has a familiar!
Naruko’s familiar is Takesuzume! (。・ω・)ノ

I can hear his encouraging voice just by looking at these photos! The photo also shows the lovely smiling face as her second expression! ♪

It’s a little bit covered in my scribbles though! Sorry!

There were so many things I wanted to explain, but the movements are hard to explain without the image!! The circled areas in the photo are Nendoroid joints allowing the hair accessories to be moved in various directions, and then half way down is another joint that allows the streamer parts to be posed closer or further apart for even more options!

In most cases the accessories really stand out and perhaps even take away a bit from Naruko herself… but by changing the angle and position of them you can make a lot less noticeable if you wish! ★

However you can also pose them in even more dynamic poses… something that matches this chibi expression perfectly! ♪

The comical effect of this expression is simply lovely! I can’t help but crack a little smile! The cute little Magatsuhi is also included!! I wish I could keep it as a pet instead of defeating it!

By the way, it’s a little bit hard to tell from photos, but Naruko’s face is actually sculpted to be making the “ε” face! The expressions were just as important as the outfit on this Nendoroid! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Nendoroid Amatsukaze

Yesterday I’m almost certain I smelt some sweet olive in the air! I absolutely love that sweet fragrance!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Amatsukaze!♪

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the 9th Kagerou-class Destroyer, Amatsukaze – ready to set sail! The Rensouhou-kun attached to her hips is articulated for all sorts of poses, and even comes with shooting effect parts!

Torpedo effect parts for Amatsukaze herself are also included to ensure that the enemy can not escape – water column parts are also included to show the point of impact! Just like Nendoroid Shimakaze before her, she also comes with parts to recreate her ‘Half-Damage’ pose – the bow and first cannon have been hit, but that won’t be enough to sink Amatsukaze!

Apologies for the long wait!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

I know she has been on display at a number of events and many Admirals have been waiting for her very patiently! The 9th Kagerou-class Destroyer Amatsukaze is finally coming to join the Nendoroid fleet!

The adorable little hat the doubles up as a funnel, her long pale hair and beautiful outfit… you can even see her garterbelt if you look close! Everything that makes Amatsukaze amazing has been captured in her Nendoroid for fans to be charmed by all over again!

Rensouhou-kun is also of course included! ♪

His confident, robotic looking face has a comical side to it that makes him so very cute!! The head is fitted with a joint allowing you to match his pose with Amatsukaze’s pose!!

Back onto Amatsukaze… let’s take a look from the back! ♪

Her 4-turret torpedo launcher has been faithfully included! The rather unique parting of her hair has also been faithfully kept, and actually makes attaching and removing the stand nice and easy! ♪

But perhaps one of her most unique features…
Her semi-transparent outfit! <○><○>!!

It’s ever so slight, but you can definitely see through!

If you look close you can definitely make out the two lines of the garterbelt going up her stomach! (；・`д・´)

The original plan for the Nendoroid didn’t actually include the semi-transparent outfit, but while working on it the head planner Kyojin decided that it was definitely worth preserving on the Nendoroid… and thus the change was made!

Let’s try a slightly lower angle…

“Nah-uh! No photos any lower!”

I can hear her cute voice in my head when I look at this expression!!

Plus just look at that adorable moe fang!! ♥︎

Some of you may recognise this expression already… you’ll see it’s main use a little later on! (｀・ω・´)

But before that, the KanColle Nendoroid are always well known for their effect parts… Amatsukaze also comes with a couple to enjoy!

First up we have…
Rensouhou-kun Firing Parts! ☆

FIRE!

These are inserted into Rensouhou-kun’s turrets to display him firing at the enemy! Together with Amatsukaze’s pointing expression it’s as if she is ordering him to fire in a certain direction! (･ω･)b

The point that Rensouhou-kun attaches to Amatsukaze’s hip is also articulated, so you can move him in all sorts of different directions!

The second part is a…
Pillar of Water!☆

This really isn’t an exclusive part to Amatsukaze! It could be used with any KanColle Nendoroids to create a combat atmosphere!

Finally, we also have…
Torpedo Effect Parts!☆

All four of the torpedo launchers firing at once!

The standard expression is mainly a tsundere embarrassed expression as with the first few photos of the blog… but used with effect parts it actually gives her a bit of a serious look to her attack – as if she’s really concentrating! φ(．． )

There is still one last optional part remaining!
Included to recreate a very popular pose!! ヾ(｀・ω・´)ノ

“The bow and first cannon have been hit!
But I’m not going down yet!”

Aaaaahhhhh!!! (*´Д｀)=з

That’s right!
She comes with a completely alternate Half-Damage Body!
Alternate bent leg parts with ripped knee-highs are also included!!

Even with her outfit torn apart the detail on what remains is amazing! Look at this tiny little ribbon on her left side!!

Plus Rensouhou-kun also comes with a Half-Damage version! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

He looked so confident a little while ago, but now he looks to be rather unsure of himself!! So cute!!

Last but not least, she also comes with a third expression!

Aww!! What a little angel!! (´□｀｡)

Amatsukaze may be best known for her rather spiky personality, but when she puts on a smile she really is adorable!! ♪

This lovely smile which also shows off her moe fang is actually aimed toward Shimakaze-chan…

W-What is that she’s holding in her hand?!

It’s not even mentioned in the release text, but she’s holding plans for a new turbine to give to Shimakaze!!

Ideal for duo poses just like this one!

These parts were also included by the head planner Kyojin… certainly something only an Admiral himself could think to include! ♪

I look forward to seeing what is include with Nendoroid I-401!
As soon as I know more about the upcoming KanColle Nendoroid I shall share!! ☆

Eren Yeager

There are always new sweets and candy that release in Autumn, and I’m looking forward to trying all of them! It’s the season where chocolate and cream-type ice cream seem to be where my eyes go first! ♪

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

The 1/8th Scale:

Eren Yeager!

From the popular anime ‘Attack on Titan’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the main character, Eren Yeager. The figure is based on the cover illustration of the first volume of the anime’s Blu-ray/DVD, which features Eren ready to cut down on a Titan in a powerful, confident pose.

He looks great displayed alone, but even more epic when displayed with the previously announced 1/8th scale Mikasa Ackerman, so be sure to display them together!

Ooooooohhhh!!! ヽ(ｏ´∀｀ｏ)ﾉ

With the upcoming movie version of ‘Attack on Titan’ coming this autumn it’s a great time to see the titan-exterminating main character Eren! Just like Mikasa Ackerman, he has been sculpted based on the cover of the Blu-ray & DVD jacket! ♪

The amazing dynamic pose with gritted teeth and furrowed brows really brings out Eren’s determination!

If you look up from a low angle you can stare right into his confident eyes! Just like Mikasa, his Vertical Manoeuvring Equipment has been sculpted in unbelievable detail!!

The mechanical parts around his hips are so intricate, and still have wear and tear added carefully into the design! The mechanical parts on his back contrast with the flowing jacket beautifully!

I could stare at this back for ages!!

But the area I really want to personally push…

…is his neck!!

The tight, sinewy muscles that you will only ever see on a male figure! They look amazing!! Speaking of attention to detail, be sure to also take a look at the included base! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The base is made to look like a chimney from the series, and even the inside has been carefully detailed! The old, deteriorated look with bricks showing recreate the setting of the series!

Not to mention that even the soles of his shoes have kept their pattern! (｀・ω・´)

I really love the way that his vertical manoeuvring equipment has been made to look ‘used’!

It makes the figure and series seem all the more realistic! There is no way the equipment should be all shiny and new after what it has been through!

Another area that I don’t want to see go unnoticed would be here! ★

To be more specific, his thighs which has held tight by a number of belts!

Just look how they are squeezing on his skin!!

The whole figure really gives you a feel for him making use of all the muscles in his body to amazing effect! The belts also add a soft, touchable feeling to his skin though!

The contrast between the solid equipment, belts and boots and the softer looking shirt and jacket is emphasized by the sculpting and paintwork to create a figure that looks so very real that he really seems to be right there with you!

Eren right on his way to starting the extermination of the Titans…!

Nendoroid Devil Homura

It’s starting to get rather chilly going home at night now! There are quite a few colds going around as well… I need to be careful not to catch one! Everyone be sure to take care of your health!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Devil Homura!!

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie -Rebellion-‘ comes the long-awaited Nendoroid of Devil Homura! Her stunning jet-black dress and devil wings have all been carefully shrunk down into Nendoroid size.

She comes with her standard expression as well as a smiling expression. Optional parts include the dark orb as well as a special hand part holding Kyubey. Enjoy recreating all of your favorite scenes from the movie!

Ooooooohhhh!!! (´□｀｡)

The devil form of Homura-chan is finally joining the Nendoroid series!♡

I just love the way she is looking down on me with those eyes!!

She even comes with special folded leg parts to recreate the pose from her famous illustration! ♪

Let’s see how she looks from the back! ☆

Her huge wings made up of beautiful feathers, along with her feathery looking dress have all been faithfully preserved in Nendoroid size! Her very revealing back too! ♪

In her hand she holds the Dark Orb!

To put it simply, it’s a fragment of a Soul Gem transformed into a dark jewel! It has also been sculpted in lovely detail!

(・∀・) “Take a close look at how we’ve done her eyes!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Yassan!!

(・∀・) “If you look closely you’ll see the bottom area of her eyes have a slight elevation to it!”

The elevation adds a more lonely feeling to her eyes!

( ･ω･) “The eyes themselves also differ to the previous Nendoroids in the series!”

We’re also joined by Nendoroid Devil Homura’s sculptor and painter, Hidetoshi Nishibu!! (GSC Production Team)

( ･ω･) “The original character designer Ume Aoki has a very unique drawing style that normally has an oblique line through the eye. Devil Homura however, never had this line, and we made sure to have the Nendoroid match!”

Oooh! I see!! Σ(・Д・」)
If you compare her eyes to the previous Nendoroids you can see the difference!

( ･ω･) “Things like these changes to the eyes might be small, but these little things all add up to give the figure character! Plus, when fans notice these smaller things it really makes me happy as the sculptor!”

Was there anything else about Devil Homura that felt different compared to the normal Homura?

( ･ω･) “Yep! I used a much darker palette of colors on her hair to help bring out the devil look more!”

I really want to display the two together to see the subtle changes between them! ♪

How about her wings! They look spectacular too!

(・∀・) “Each of the feathers have been sculpted separately… but that’s not all…

The wings also feature points of articulated points for all sorts of different poses!

If you look at my last photo, you’ll notice some of the feathers facing a different direction!

( ･ω･) “There an extra turning point in the middle of the wing that allows you to ‘fold’ the wind up for down! Not to mention that they wings attach to her by a ball joint – the posing options are truly endless!”

This means you can pose the wings opened out wide, or instead curled up like in the first photo of today’s blog! Loads of fun poses to be had! ♪

(・∀・) “Along with her standard downward glance, she also comes with this smiling expression!”

Such an fearless smile…!(((゜д゜;)))

(・∀・) “The inside of her dress is filled with darkness, while her knee-highs feature a lovely argyle pattern recreating her outfit perfectly!”」

Even the designs of her neck collar and shoes have been carefully made!

(・∀・) “Finally… she comes with one other rather unique optional part!”」

(・∀・) “Indeed! It’s Kyubey!”

Yowamushi Pedal Café & YuruChara Grand Prix!

While I was in university my main form of transport was by reliable red folding bicycle. It was just a little 16 inch bike but it served me well!

Anyway, today I’m going to be writing a little report about the theme café currently taking place at the Good Smile x animate Café!

We’re greeted by huge tapestries of the Sohoku members!!

I’m getting excited and we’re not even in the café yet!

I’ve come to the café today with the newest member in the planning team, Horikoshi-neesama, as well as one of this year’s new graduates Suwabe! (@gsc_suwabe) ♪

On the same floor as the café is the ACOS store area, which is filled with Yowamushi Pedal goodies!

Anyway! Let us head inside before we completely forget that we’re here to work today! Into the café!!

Already I see something else catching my eye…! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

It’s so cute!! （*´▽｀*）

A Yowamushi Pedal signboard drawn completely by hand by one of the staff members! We were quickly taken to our seat, and had a look through the giant menu!!

The order system makes use of an order sheet – simply write down how many of each item you want and hand it to the staff!

What should I order?!

There are too many things I want to try! I can’t decide!
Take a look for yourself…! (=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ

Each order of food comes with one of four different clear bookmarks, and each drink order comes with one of eight different coasters! (All selected at random.)

We each placed our orders, and decided to take a look around the café while waiting for our meals!

The walls are filled with tapestries and framed images of famous scenes from the anime!

Various goodies were also on display including figma Sakamichi Onoda!!

Next to the stage was a customer message book!

It was filled with love for Yowamushi Pedal! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)
The screen on the stage showed trailers for the anime, while the café’s music was of course character songs from the series!

Also on stage were life-size cutouts of Midousuji-kun and the Sohoku members! The Hakone members were also in the café!

The table we were seated at was right in the middle of the Hakone members tapestries! (=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ

The Hakone uniforms from ACOS were also on display, and lovely to see! ♪

But anyway, after looking around a bit, our meals arrived!

First up are the drinks! ♪

The bonus coasters we got were Midousuji-kun and a ‘Toudou & Manami’ coaster!

The coasters are selected at random by staff and handed over upside-down, so you’ll have the fun of guessing who you got before turning it over!

Next up is all the food we decided to order!

Oooh!!! I’m glad I’m rather hungry!! (´□｀｡)

The random bookmarks are inside the animate café envelopes you can see in the photos!

We opened all three together!!

Not one duplicate!! ヾ(｡｀・Д・´｡)ﾉ

For once my luck was quite good! But now it’s time to eat! I’m starving!

Overall Food Rating: Super Delicious! ♡

While we were munching on the delicious food, we all discussed our favorite characters looking through the menu once more! Theme cafés are really good for that kind of thing! ♪

We were about to order some desert as well, when all of a sudden a staff member got up on stage…!

They were running a little mini-game to win some extra goodies! They asked a question and whoever it applied to was to put of their hands – the winners would get coasters from the Nagoya store for all members of their table! ★ (；･`ω･´)

The question was “Who decided to buy a road bike after watching/reading Yowamushi Pedal?”

Quite a few people put of their hands too! But anyway, let’s get back to ordering dessert!

We were able to get hold of the last clear bookmark with our dessert orders too! We got the whole set in just one visit!

First up we had this swiss roll with a berry sauce, some delicious tart and Blue Hawaiian ice-cream!

The berry sauce was absolutely delicious!!

Next up we tried the pancakes!
They had such a cute illustration on… it made it hard to eat!

Horikoshi-neesama and I decided they were just too cute to eat, but…

\ *chomp* /

Suwabe was still quick to take a bite!

She said it was soft, fluffy and delicious! With a huge smile to boot!

Seen we missed out on the pancake, Horikoshi-neesama and I decided to order some hot drinks to finish off the day!☆

The Sohoku badge is a Cocoa Latte, and the Hakone badge is a Cappuccino Latte!

figFIX Shinobu Oshino

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Yesterday I spilt a huge bottle of tea on my laptop’s keyboard… I’m using a replacement PC for the time being, but all my settings are missing making it rather difficult!

But anyway! Today I’m going to be taking a look at:

figFIX Shinobu Oshino!

From the ‘Monogatari’ anime series comes a figFIX of the once legendary vampire, Shinobu Oshino! A faithful rendition of Shinobu’s well-known sitting pose from the classroom corner.

Her included expression is a cold sideways glance, that captures the vampire inside her perfectly! Her helmet can be attached and removed and her expression parts can be swapped with figma Shinobu Oshino for even more options! (sold separately)

Just look at that lovely glare!!!

The second figure to join Max Factory’s new figFIX line of figures! ♪

The planner of the the figure (IG Sakai: @sakai_max) really wanted to have Shinobu available in her sitting pose as well!!

The helmet can be removed! ♪

The way she is sitting with her hands under her legs is so adorable! The frills on the inner side of her one piece are also very cute!

This is how she looks from the back! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

The cute little tufts of hair sticking out the sides about her ear are faithfully included! Plus the flow of the fabric and creases of her pink one-piece are fantastic! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The detail is enough to make you forget that she is only around 1/12th scale in size! Here she is compared with an iPhone5 for comparison!

She really is a palm-size figure! (；・`д・´)

Looking up close you’ll even notice the angle her toes are open at differ from left and right!

I must however explain once again what figFIX is for those who might have missed out last time!

　The figFIX series of figures is the same size as figmas (around 1/12th scale) so they can easily be displayed together, but they are fixed in a specific and well-known pose of each character, allowing for a more faithful representation as well as a reasonable price! The series allows the skilled craftsmen of Max Factory to put their skills to work on more delicate sculpting and paintwork for fans to enjoy! The head part of figFIX figures make use of the same joint as the figma series, allowing for some interesting display possibilities for fans to play around with as well!

My favorite thing about them is that you can swap expressions with the figma of the same character, and since figma Shinobu was announced on the same day you can easily pick them both up for a whole range of new options!

Nendoroid Kotori Minami

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I prefer my cheesecake baked… although sometimes I do crave the soufflé type as well! Cheesecake is delicious no matter how it’s made!

Anyway, today I’m going to take a look at a figure up for preorder tomorrow…

Nendoroid Kotori Minami!♡

From the popular anime series ‘Love Live!’ comes a Nendoroid of the gentle μ’s member who designs the group’s stage outfits, Kotori Minami! She has been sculpted wearing her outfit used in the song ‘Bokura wa Ima no Naka de’.

Kotori comes with both a winking expression and a blank expression that suits her gentle personality perfectly. She also comes with a large number of parts that allow you to recreate the dance moves from the opening of the first season! Be sure to display her together with the previously announced Nico Yazawa, Honoka Kousaka and other upcoming members of μ’s! ♪

The adorable Kotori-chan is joining the Nendoroid series! ♡

The third character from Love Live! to join the Nendoroid series, following on from Niconii and Honoka-chan! ♡

Nendoroid Nico Yazawa and Nendoroid Honoka Kosaka are already well on their way to being released!

All of the Nendoroids are wearing the lovely outfits from the first opening theme, ‘Bokura wa Ima no Naka de’! That said, each of their outfits is slightly different, and all of those changes have been made on the Nendoroids as well! (o・ω・o)ノ

For example, the black frills and red cheques on Kotori-chan’s skirt are slightly narrower, making for a slightly sexier looking outfit when compared with Niconii and Honoka-chan! ♪

Which reminds me…
All of the μ’s outfits are in fact designed by Kotori-chan! She really is a genius!! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

So filled with frills, belts and accessories! They all look lovely shrunk down to chibi size too! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

(・∀・) “The sexy side of Kotori together with her gentle personality is a lovely combination!”

The difference in volume of the left and right side of her skirt, the intricate hems – so much attention to detail! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

(・∀・) “It’s not just her outfit though, her hair accessory was also very carefully made!”

Her little earring also looks perfect! Not to mention her rather unique hairstyle which has also come out looking just right! ε=(｡・д・｡)

(・∀・)”The point where the hair is tied up is even a little articulated allowing for some subtle changes in your poses!”

Does she come with another expression besides the winking face…?

(・∀・) “Of course! Her other expression is perfect for her gentle personality! It’s a bit of a blank expression!”

Hatsune Miku: Tell Your World Ver.: Part 2

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I feel like sushi today! The reason for that is that today is Mikudayo’s birthday! Everyone knows that Mikudayo loves sushi! However, all I have is a tuna mayo onigiri, so I will munch on that instead while thinking of sushi and Mikudayo!

Anyway, today I’ll be taking a closer look at…

The 1/8th Scale:
Hatsune Miku: Tell Your World Ver.!♥

From the Hatsune Miku song that featured in a Google Chrome commercial, ‘Tell Your World’, comes a scale figure of Hatsune Miku based on the song’s album jacket illustration.

The colorful design of Miku made in collaboration between Fantasista Utamaro and mebae has been carefully transformed into a figure, keeping all the finest of details and feminine air of Miku as faithfully as possible.

I know I can’t be the only one falling for this coy Miku!

mebae’s delicate illustration transformed into a meticulous figure that captures the heart of the illustration perfectly!

Sculpted by Iwanaga Sakurako (Shokubutu Shojo-en), the same amazing sculptor behind works of art such as Deep Sea Girl, Aircraft Carrier Wo-Class and even the upcoming Satsuki Kiryuin!

This Miku looks so very gentle and ladylike, with beautiful slender legs, a dynamically sculpted skirt and hair and a hint of mystery! Taking a closer look at all the smaller elements of her design will make you realise just how incredible the sculptwork is! (*´Д`)

She is frozen in time at the perfect second her skirt is fluttering up around her!

It’s hard to believe the skirt is made from plastic! (；･`ω･´)

I really thought that if I kept staring for long enough the skirt would flop down… it’s amazing to see motion and texture captured so realistically on a static pose!

The ever so slight peek at her stomach is also a lovely touch!

(・∀・) “Also note the detailed movements of her twin-tails!”

We’re joined by the planner for the figure, Hamako!!

(・∀・)”Miku is well-known for her bold twin-tails, which are sculpted spinning out in all sorts of directions to add to the dynamic feeling of the figure! Careful attention was also given to the use of depth to closer recreate the feeling of the original illustration!”

The hair wound around her right finger comes from the left side of her hair! I could never quite tell on the illustration, but the figure let’s you see everything from whatever angle you please! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

(・∀・) “The degree of accuracy of the hair is just lovely – just look at the way it curls around her arm and twirls around her finger! It looks so soft!

There is even some winding around her legs!! （*´▽｀*）

Speaking of her legs… just look how nice and juicy they look as the knee-highs squish her skin down! …Delicious!!

(・∀・)” Yep! At first glance Miku is very slender, but she actually has some rather sexy curves to her body as well!”

This angle gives you a good look at her arm and fingers! The upper arm looks so delicate and smooth!

You can also just see her thighs sticking out inbetween the knee-highs and skirt, and the overall posture of the figure gives her an effeminate charm! (´□｀｡)

(・∀・)”Another thing that I personally love is her expression!”

(・∀・) “Her eyes just seem to suck you inside… wrapped with a mysterious atmosphere that leaves you wondering what she is thinking! It really captures the feeling of mebae’s illustration so very well!”

To me her eyes have a very strong will attached to them – true determination! But at the same time they have a mature feeling to them. At the same time, the opened mouth with a gentle finger touched to it has a rather innocent charm to it… the mixed signals all in one expression just make her all the more charming! ( -ﾉｪ-)

(・∀・) “The figure was also checked directly by the original illustrator, mebae… who was very happy with the way she came out!”

Oooh! Even the original illustrator was happy with the figure! Yay! ♪

(・∀・) “There is so much to enjoy on the figure… her lovely expressions, dynamic sculpting of the twin tails and skirt, a bright and colorful outfit and careful work to bring it all together as best as possible! I know Miku fans will love how she has come out!”

It’s been a while since her debut at WonFes, but she is finally ready for preorders!

The beautiful sculpting work is by none other than Iwanaga Sakurako (Shokubutu Shojo-en) – the same sculptor behind a number of amazing figures including the Aircraft Carrier Wo-Class! ♥

Ahhh… (。´Д` )

The complex sculpting of her hair as it flows around her together with the skirt swirling around her… and those unbelievably beautiful fingertips!

It’s hard to put into words, but the ‘translucent’ feeling the figure gives off is amazing! Her eyes seem to be drifting off far into the distance, creating a mysterious yet compelling pose as she gently twirls her finger through her hair, innocently pulling it toward her mouth…

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Halloween Ver.

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I’ve always felt I’ve had a bit of an affinity for pumpkins! I much prefer sweeter side dishes anyway!
Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Halloween Ver. !

From the ‘Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku’ comes a Nendoroid of Hatsune Miku dressed up a cute little devil for Halloween! Her dress is made in the image of a pumpkin, and the outfit is covered with cute and colorful lace and ribbons! She also features expressions with orange eyeshadow, fangs and wings, bringing out the little devil in Miku for fans to enjoy!

Together with her standard smiling expression, she also comes with a confident sneering expression and a special pumpkin head for all sorts of Halloween pranks! Optional parts include Halloween-themed items such as some candy and a jack-o’-lantern which can even be used as a head part for Nendoroid Petites! Enjoy this year’s Halloween with Miku by your side!

A slightly mischievous Miku perfect for Halloween!

Even the packaging is made to look like a jack-o’-lantern ♡

She will be on sale first at three different events!

Let’s take a closer look, shall we? ♪

…I see some rather interesting expressions! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

I’ll be taking a look at each of them in detail!

First up we have her Standard Expression! ♡

Beautiful!

Those little fangs on either side are just so adorable!!

The orange eye shadow also adds to the mischievous look! (*´Д`)

It’s definitely a rather different feeling to the normal Miku-san – personally I’ve really fallen in love with it! The way her eyelashes and pupils look have also been changed to have more of a Halloween look! ♪

Her expression isn’t the only thing that is cute though…

A Sexy Halloween Costume! ♪

The little balls around the bottom of her skirt look like little balls of cream, and the little bat wings on her dress are so very cute! ♥︎ ヽ(ｏ´∀｀ｏ)ﾉ

(・∀・) “Did you notice her legs yet?”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Hamako !

(・∀・) “If you look above the black and white striped socks, you’ll see she’s wearing a garterbelt!”

Oooh! I see!!! You can even see the little clasps on them! Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟﾉ)ﾉ

(・∀・) “We can’t show any more on photos here, but be sure to take a look if you grab her! The details are quite intricate!”

Let me be the first to say that I was very impressed!! I love seeing details on places that you normally shouldn’t even see!

(・∀・) “Here is the illustration she was based on!”

Oooooohhh!! (*´Д`)

So this is where Halloween Miku started from!

(・∀・) “Yep! The costume design was by Suoh-san, which then moved on all the way to becoming a Nendoroid!”

After the Nendoroid was announced, a more showy illustration was also made!

Both of the illustrations have a bit of a mature feeling to them, but also a kind of mysterious sexiness! (/ω＼)

The little bat wings on her back are a bit hard to see from the front, but from the back they’re very noticeable!

(・∀・) “They have of course been included on the Nendoroid too!”

Ooh! They even make use of transparent parts!

But even more amazing is that expression! She looks even more mischievous than before!

(・∀・) “My personal favorite – the confident sneering expression!”

It’s perfect! Good job!!

The expression brings out that mysterious feeling from the illustrations nicely! The directions that twin-tails are twisting in are also somehow rather sexy! ♡

This pose was my attempt at making a sexy Nendoroid pose! (=ﾟωﾟ)ノ

The standard expression would have also worked well, but the way that only one of her fangs is sticking out on this expression gives it that extra little bit of little devilish charm! Definitely not an expression I think you’d ever see on a normal Miku figure! ♡

(・∀・) “Hmm…. but there is another expression that also suits Halloween, perhaps even more so!”

W-What expression could possibly feel more Halloweeny than this mischievous looking little devil?! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Wait! I remember! I saw it in the blister pack!

(・∀・) “A pumpkin head!”

At first the impact is rather huge… but after looking for awhile it actually looks rather cute!

(｀・ω・) “I was really worried when making this expression that it wasn’t going to come out cute enough for a Nendoroid.”

We’re also joined by the GSC production team’s Itashi Katahara!

(｀・ω・) “But once it was connected onto the hair and body, it actually came out looking rather nice!”

The expression alone IS rather creepy, but combined with the body she is rather cute!

I also look forward to trying the face on various other characters! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Nendoroid Petite: Rin-chan has been targeted by pumpkin head Miku!
