Nendoroid Wakana Sakai

The forbidden sculptor’s room!

Here we have Takanon’s desk! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ
I always try my best not to bother any of the sculptor’s while they’re concentrating at their desks, so I tend to watch until someone leaves and then go investigate their desks, and sometimes leave some treats. 😛

It seems Takanon is painting a second prototype here!
That’s just like asking me to take the prototype for a review!

From TARI TARI:
Nendoroid Wakana Sakai!

From P.A.WORKS’ original animation series, ‘TARI TARI’ comes a Nendoroid of Wakana Sakai wearing her school uniform! She also comes with a load of extra parts that help you recreate several scenes, including some from the OP and ED themes!

The included extra parts are absolutely gorgeous!! (((ﾟДﾟ)))
There are also a few other parts that aren’t in this picture, which I’ll be taking a look at as we go along!

This is how she looks from the back!

All the details and colors of the anime have faithfully been shrunk down to Nendoroid size! She really has a lovely polished feeling about her! Her ponytail is fitted with a Nendoroid joint as well!

On the way to school with her schoolbag!

The goldfish-like thing attached to her bag has a very important role in the story and I’m told a lot of work went into making it look perfect! She also comes with a bent arm which makes it look like she is on her way to school, holding onto her schoolbag as she walks along!

Dora, Dora’s food and a spoon!

Dora is the kitty that Wakana keeps at home! All the patterns are in the right places too – making sure the white spots around the eyebrows and the pattern on her back are correct is very important!

Even Dora’s paw pads are sculpted!!

They’re not just printed on, they’re actually sculpted on the underside of the paws!! I think the pads will be too small to get their own coloring, but it’s still amazing to see so much detail went into areas that you normally won’t even be able to see!

Dora also comes with some food to munch on as well as a spoon to pose Wakana feeding the kitty – always make sure she has enough food!

You can also pose her singing!

Wakana comes with two expressions, the previous smiling expression and this singing expression. She only comes with two expressions because there are so many other extra parts included with her – but even so, I think these two expressions give you a lot of different options for her.

In this photo the expression and pose make it look like she is singing, but if you change the pose a bit it could just be a really happy smile! ヽ(゜∀゜)ノ

A grand piano and sitting parts!

Finally a Nendoroid-sized piano━*・゜・*:.。.。.:*・゜(゜∀゜)゜・*:.。..。.:*・゜・*━ !!

Obviously the size is perfect for any Nendoroids, so it’s a stunning extra for people like me who love having accessories like this for figures! The piano chair is also of course included, along with sitting parts to have her playing the piano!

This is how the piano looks from the back!

There is even a rack for the sheet music, so you could make your own little sheet music to place there! At present the top of the piano cannot be closed, but there may be some changes during production – no promises though!

Miku playing the piano!

The sitting body comes from Shuukan Hajimete no Miku, while the arms and heads are from normal Miku. I’m holding her in place with double-sided tape, but I think it looks good!

It should kind of work with most characters with sitting parts, and even those who don’t it’ll be nice to display them even standing beside the piano! I guess I’ve just always wanted a Nendoroid-sized piano… 😛

Bonus!

Wakana can be posed sitting in other places as well!

This is actually the fountain from the ED theme, which was originally never actually scheduled to be included with Wakana… but while the Nendoroid was having official photos done, Oda-P decided it needed to be included and sculpted it at the speed of light! Impressive as always!

Four AnkouEX Figures from ADVENTURE KARTEL!

My desk is being invaded by giants!!

Leaving your desk in the GSC offices often leads to pranks like this…

Often you’ll find the poses of your figures have been changed, or someone has left some treats ot scribbles for you. Today I came back to this army of prototypes, so I better get started reviewing them!

They are really humongous!

Today I’ll be taking a look at the figure in the middle here!
The AnkouEX figures from ADVENTURE KARTEL!
From the ‘ADVENTURE KARTEL’ series comes a number of different figures of the Ankou Sentry built to fight against the large Zombs, AnkouEX. The AnkouEx is a larger version of the Ankou Sentry with a number of bags hanging at his waist, each figure truly gives the overwhelming presence they deserve! To give you an idea who is who in this photo…

・ The Ankou Sentry on the left is a good guy!
・ On the rightis a Zomb, the bad guys!
・ The middle one was made to fight against large Zombs!
・ The little doughnut animal has nothing to do with them!

At least, that’s how I’ve been told the ADVENTURE KARTEL universe works! I hope I haven’t mixed something up horribly… I’m sorry if I have!

The Hoodzomb is already available!

This is a sample and it really shows off threeA’s the apperance and texture of the clothes on their figures! I love the way the color is faded on the bumps and wrinkles of the clothes!

The boots are also so detailed!！

Even the sole of the shoe is sculpted! The stitching along the shoes is also incredible, but it’s quite hard to see in this photo unfortunately. I don’t think many people realize just hoe incredibly intricate threeA’s figures are!

But anyway, after that quick detour let’s get back to the AnkouEX series!
First up is the C.O.S.D version!

Apparently the thing covering his head is part of a ‘Ghillie Suit’, basically it’s a camoflage suit to keep yourself hidden from your enemies! Although, I think it just makes him stick out even more when he’s on my desk… 😛

He has so many bags at his waist!

They’re the perfect size to hold a Nendoroid! Which goes to show just how big they are! The bags also have really detailed clips that actually work to hold them closed! You can see on just below Miku’s hand in this picture.

This is how it looks from the back!

That big rounded back and huge flat feet really give him a nice stable feeling. He also stands out nicely and is quite easy and fun to pose! I think he’ll look great at the entrance to a home!

The Ghillie suit hood can be removed!

You can even put it on some other figures like this! I think something like this must be quite rare in the figure world… it could be used for a figure survival games! 😛

Next up, the SHADOW SECURITY version!

That painted smile is lovely! The ‘Shadow’ name also suits his black body nicely. The zips on the clothes can open and close on all four of the figures as well, so you can display them with the chests showing for a slightly different feel!

The rim of the hood has a wire!

Such incredible attention to detail! It keeps the shape of the hood nicely so you can still see the face through the hood! This is the only one of the four that has a hood like this.

The body has a lovely rusted look!

Even though you’d never be able to see this area with the coat on, it’s still so detailed!! I think it would be quite difficult to remove the coat entirely, but it might be worth a try.

As a side note, the staff in the offices were quite entralled by the ‘nipples’ on the figure… what a lovely place I work at! ^^;

These two are essentially the same figures, but the left features a dirtier look while the right is the cleaner version. Among the staff the dirty version is actually more popular, and I think I personally agree with that sentiment as well… I want one for myself!

A lovey texture and embroidery!

It really looks and feels just like leather, and the jacket really has all puffy like you’d expect! It’s very soft to the touch as well – it feels amazing!

This is how it looks from the back!

Seeing the brand new looking bags on the clean version looks really different compared to the other versions! The slightly duller clothes also contrast with the caramel and yellow body bery nicely!

015This is the Dirty Swine Mode version!

I think this version really shows off what threeA is all about! They do look great together though, so you can compare the two! By the way, doen’t the mark on the back of their hands remind anyone of something?

Good Smile Cafe!?

The mark really looks just like the GSC Cafe logo! Even the color is correct!! It must just be a coincidence, but even so it’s quite cool!

Nendoroid Tsubasa Kazanari

It’s getting darker so much earlier now!! (((ﾟДﾟ)))
This is the scenery from Oda-P’s desk – at around 5PM it’s already getting so dark!!  For someone like me who doesn’t really get out much I actually prefer having more time in the dark, but I’m always quite surprised when the seasons seem to change so quickly! Everyone be sure to healthy during the seasons change, especially if you’re headed into Winter now!

Anyway, today we’ll be taking a look at this lovely Nendoroid!

From Senki Zesshou Symphogear:
Nendoroid Tsubasa Kazanari!

From the anime series ‘Senki Zesshou Symphogear’ comes a Nendoroid of  Tsubasa Kazanari, the character who uses the first Symphogear System, Ame no Habakiri! She also includes some Nendoroid sized versions of the ‘Noise’ that threaten humanity!

Just like Hibiki, Tsubasa comes an amazing expression!
I’ll get to it shortly, but it is definitely something to look forward to!!

This is how she looks from the back!

She has a much more posable thigh area when compared to normal Nendoroids. It’s not quite fully posable, but it definitely makes it a little easier to get her lower half into some poses – plus it doesn’t change the way she looks at all, so it’s really a win-win situation!

The wings on her ankles are also fitted with ball joints which allow them to be moved back and forth.

She comes with loads of optional parts, including four Armed Gears!
First up, her standard sword!

You can recreate a number of the combat scenes with the Noise! Tsubasa also comes with these  whale-type Noise figures which will look great with alternate Noise figure that came with Hibiki! They’re even made with clear parts which looked lovely!

‘Blue Flash’ attack with her long sword!

The scroll that showed the name of the attack that always appeared in the show always sticks in my mind! Once the actual product releases I think I’ll try and recreate that scroll to display alongside her!

This pose features a special right and bent left arm, as well as a bent left leg and really makes it look like she’s swinging the sword around! ヽ(｀･ω･´)ﾉ

“Heaven’s Wrath” using her great sword!

The actual sword is actually a lot bigger than this, but it had to be made this size as the full size was simply impossible – but even so it’s incredibly big! There is a special stand to support the sword as well, so you can pose her kicking the sword as she did in the show!

But when I think of Symphogear, I think of this expression!!

A Swansong Expression━(ﾟ∀ﾟ)━ !!!!

I’m fairly certain those of you who haven’t seen the series must be quite confused by this expression. The girls can sing a Swansong in order to get a huge amount of power to defeat their enemies, but it puts a lot of stress on the body, as you can see here!

The expression actually uses much less blood than the series, though. 😛

I also tried playing around with Hibiki’s dark expression on other characters (see the photo below), but I don’t think this particular expression would work great on others… ^^;

Leg blades for the ‘Reverse Rakshasa’!

The Reverse Rakshasa was an attack where she spun around upside-down with her leg blades deployed! You can see she’s hard at work with Hibiki destroying the Noise!

The expression on Tsubasa here is included with Hibiki! (・∀・)
You can actually put the expression on pretty much any character to give them a really devious appearance!

Nendoroid GUMI

It seems Tsukki is muching on some carrots in the office!

Though I must say, that carrot looks a bit small… Σ(ﾟДﾟ;）

The carrot is in fact an extra part that comes with Nendoroid GUMI, to contrast the eggplant that Kamui rides! Let’s take a closer look at her prototype…

From ‘Virtual Vocalist Megpoid’:
Nendoroid GUMI!

The image character for the Virtual Vocalist Megpoid, GUMI, is finally joining the Nendoroid world! You can pose her in all sorts of poses that became popular from a number of her songs!

I know many of you have been waiting for her!! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

There have been requests for a Nendoroid of GUMI for ages, and now we are finally able to bring her to the fans!! Apologies for the long wait!

This is how she looks from the back!

Her hair has such a nice vivid green color, and even the little stand of hair coming off to the side has been faithfully kept in Nendoroid form! The tips of the hair are much darker with a gradient effect becoming lighter toward the center of her hair. Her outfit also looks lovely and detailed!

Recreate the illustration on the packaging!

Using the two bent arms you can pose her with her hands pressing the buttons on her headphones – the same pose from the Megpoid packaging! The actual illustration is a head-on frontal picture, but I decided to take a picture at a slight angle instead. She is also making use of the bent left leg part to really complete the pose!

A winking expression and ‘Kira’ pose!

I’m sure some of the fans will get the reference here, but I’m not going to expain it any further than that. 😛

This pose actually makes use of another bent left arm different from the one used in the above photo, as well as special hand parts!

You can display her wearing the goggles!

The goggles are included like this as an expression part, with the ones on her head being removable for a pose like this. This pose also makes use of a second type of bent arms, as well as the pointing hand parts to hold up her goggles with one hand, and her other hands held to her hips! You can get all sorts of poses out of the arms and hands included with her!

I also only just realized, but even though the figure is seperable at the waist, you can still clearly make out the line from her hips to her legs! Ageta-san really is an amazing sculptor!!

But there’s still more!!

A chibi expression and giant carrot!!

GUMI comes with a total of four expressions!!  Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟ )

It’s always great to have more variety!! Plus she comes with a giant carrot to contrast with the eggplant used by Gackpo! She can also be posed riding on the carrot just as Gackpo could be posed riding on his eggplant! You can connect the carrot to the Nendoroid stand to kind of make it look the carrot is soaring through the sky! She looks so cute!!（´∀｀）

Nendoroid Gakupo was shipped out from GSC today!!

The Gakupo here is in fact an early sample that arrived the other day. It’s quite a bizzare coincidence that that Nendoroid GUMI is announced so close to the Gackpo’s release date!

I decided I had to try swapping the two chibi faces too!

The photo above has Kamui and Gumi’s expressions reveresed, but they still seem to suit very nicely! The sizes between the product and prototype were a little different, but at release they should be completely compatible with one and other.

Also, a quick warning about Kamui! (`･ω･´)

When you display Gakupo riding on his eggplant, support it with the arm of the pedestal to releave some of the burden from the thin legs of the eggplant. They might break if you’re not careful!

Nendoroid More: Clip Stand & Suction Stand

The GSC newcomer’s blog that started back in June!

I’m not sure how many of you ever look a look, as it was only ever in Japanese, but this blog was actually started with the eventual goal of creating more fun ways to display figures!

They looked at a number of different options including special figure display cases and shelves, but all of those ended up getting… well, shelved.

However, the next set of ideas were given the go, originally based on this lovely illustration!

A very detailed illustration!

It might be quite a simple illustration, but it certainly gets the point across quite nicely! The scribbles on the left are apparently supposed to be showing magnets in use which are somehow making the Nendoroid float up in the air… needless to say there were a couple of ideas that were scrapped. 😛

Nendoroid More: Clip Stand &
Nendoroid More: Suction Stand!

These new stands bring Nendoroid fans a brand new way of displaying their favorite characters! Display your Nendoroids in places you never even considered using before!

Each stand comes with joints for both Nendoroids and Nendoroid Petites, so you can display any of your favorite characters from either series!

White, Pink and Mint!

I was only able to get hold of the white prototype, but I did get a few seperate parts to take a look at the colors as well.

The colors are pastel pink and mint, but they don’t stand out too much which is perfect to make sure that not too much is taken away from teh figure! I personally hope to see an orange and a transparent version at some stage!

Let’s try out the suction stand!

I simply connected the Nendoroid to the stand, and then stuck the suction cup onto the glass window! One of the biggest problems for figure collectors is a lack of space , and this helps a bit by letting you display some Nendoroids in all-new places!

This is how it looks from the side!

You can move the arm around to display her at whatever angle you like! The connector onto Cirno is yellow on this prototype version, but it will match the rest of the stand on the final version.

I tried to create a flying pose!

Characters with wings will really be able to be posed in mid-air now!

Of course you could always pose her in a flying pose with the normal stand, but to have her displayed high up like this gives it a whole new kind of appeal! It’s also a  really fun way to display her!

Cirno really seems to be enjoying herself too. 😛

Display your Nendoroids up high!

Although, I’d be too scared that they might fall, so I don’t want to put them too high up… if you really want to be safe, you could even just use them like this:

Stuck onto the desk!

This is actually an amazingly stable way of displaying Nendos!

It also allows you to change the pose around easily, and without taking up more space!  ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

It’s sometimes quite frustrating to get the characters into the right pose and then attach the stand, but I think this makes it considerably easier, plus the suction cup can be moved around as many times as you like, so when you get bored of having a Nendo in one place for too long, you can easily move it some place else!

Moving on, let’s try the clip stand!

Now Cirno is flying off from the side of my laptop! The clip area on the stand is made from a special material to ensure it won’t leave and marks or scratches on whatever you want to attach it to!

Keep Nendos with you wherever you go!

Take out your PC at a lovely café and then quick and easily clip a Nendo onto the side! Even while you’re in a boring meeting, you can keep a Nendoroid right in front of you to keep you happy!

The arm itself is very similar to the suction version, so you can also move it around into the angle you want. The way I’ve used it here also allows for a mid-air pose, showing just how much space you can save!

We’ve been determined to get through all the problems that came with the design, and we finally feel happy to announce that the two new ways to display Nendoroids will be known as…

Nendoroid More: Clip Stands & Nendoroid More: Suction Stands!

They are both great and fun new ways to display your favorite figures. The ‘More’ in Nendoroid More is to show that there is even MORE fun to be had when displaying your figures! It’s a first for GSC to release a product like this, but I’d really recommend you try it for yourself!

Personally I can’t wait to have a side of my wall, and the area around my PC covered in Nendoroids and Nendoroid Petites! Both the stands will only set you back ¥500, so be sure to give them a try!!

The Newcomer’s blog will be continuing on as well for now, so please continue to keep us company there too!

The latest sample to come to the GSC Offices!
If you ordered her, she should be on the way to you very shortly! She’ll officially be released next week, but I’ll be taking an early sneak peek for everyone today!

The 5th Puella Magi Madoka Magica 1/8th Scale Figure:
Kyouko Sakura!

From the anime series that received a number of awards in 2011, ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a figure of the Puella Magi with a red ponytail – Kyouko Sakura. She is posed equipped with her spear in a dynamic pose that looks ready to jump to life at any moment!

As you can see, her spear is huge!!

Combining cute girls with big weapons is one of the best ways to create moe! However, if you’re short on space you can also remove the spear and display her without it – I’ll take a closer look at this option a little later!

A lovely, dynamic pose!!

Her lovely slim build suits a figure perfectly, and I also love the way her Puella Magi outfit is flowing out behind her! She really does look like she is about to jump to life!

Her moe fang is so adorable!!

This picture is zoomed in quite a lot, but even this close up her expression is still beautiful! They say the expression is the most important part of a figure, and I have to say I think this smile is perfect!

This is how she looks from the back!

She is posed bending forward while standing on one leg – you can see a lot of work has gone into the posing – the leg, stand and spear are all neatly facing the same angle! Plus, even from the back the dynamic posing really has an incredible effect! Great job!!

The outfit has such nice textures!

The cape, skirt and socks each look like they’re made from different materials! Her thighs are also quite the highlight – you just have to see them for yourself!!

Switch arms to hold a taiyaki instead!

Her left shoulder and right wrist can both be switched out to alternate parts. Those who are concerned about the space she might take up with the spear can choose to display her like this instead.

She actually looks considerably different this way!

Just switching the position of her arm makes such a big difference!! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

It also lets you see more upper-body!

These arm parts give you a better look at the tight clothes she wears, as well as her lovely smooth shoulders and armpits! I also love the way you can make out the shape of her thighs underneath the skirt! (ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

Dislpayed with Nendoroid Kyouko!

They’re both so adorable! I really enjoy posing different sized figures of the same characters together like this!

With the release of Kyouko, all five of the girls are now available to complete this collection! I’m certain any fan would be happy to see them all displayed together like this!

Nendoroid Hunter: Female Swordsman – Bario X Edition

Shuu-chan is using some kind of jumping attack!

How does he move so fast!!

It’s unbelieveably blurry, but in his left hand he is holding an iron ruler and in his right hand is a clear shield. 😛 This photo truly makes him look like some kind of Berserker from Dragon Quest, but that really isn’t the case at all.

By complete coincidence, a deliveryman arrived at the exact same time as the photo (he is on the right) and was quite astounded at what he saw…

But anyway, today we’ll be playing with this lovely figure!

Nendoroid Hunter:
Female Swordsman – Bario X Edition!

A Nendoroid of the female swordsman wearing the ‘Bario X’ series of armor made from the powerful ice-fanged Barioth! Display her together with the previously announced ‘Lagia X Edition’ Nendoroid and recreate some of your favorite hunting scenes from the game.

The second in the Monster Hunter series is a female! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

I’m a big fan of Monster Hunter, and I’m also a fan of female figures, so this is a whole new level of amazing for me!! I also love the way her armor looks sort of like a coat, it makes her look so regal!

This is how she looks from the back!

The waist area of the coat armor is separated and fitted with a ball joint, so you can still pose the legs in all sorts of amazing dynamic poses. When you have a figure from something like Monster Hunter, you have to be able to pose it in combat poses!

There is also a joint fitted into her ponytail, which is really well hidden – you can hardly see it at all, but you can still pose the hair however you like!!

Her weapon is a one-handed sword!

The powerful sword made from the Barioth is known as the ‘Glass Valty’, and as you can see it is a very intricate sword! You can of course choose to display her with or without the sword.

Shuu-chan was in charge of this project, and he himself is apparently a one-handed sword user. If there are more Nendos to come, I hope to see a greatsword and a bow!

The fully posable ‘Edition’ series!

Just like the previous Nendo in the series, this Nendo is a part of the ‘Edition’ series which means she is articulated all over for amazing poses! There are more joints than a normal Nendoroid, allowing for much easier combat poses!

Personally I loved the extra posability of the shoulders, elbows, knees and ankles!

She comes with an injured expression!!

It’s she just adorable with this expression?!

The slight blush along with the gritted teeth and single closed eye makes for a really cute expression… even if it’s supposed to look like she is getting attacked…

A look from the monster’s viewpoint!

Hmm… I’m pretty sure if I saw someone this cute give me this expression, I’d stop attacking. Even if I were a monster. I’d just give her all my rare components!!! d(*´∀｀*)b

You can use expressions from other characters!

Using a chibi face from another character gives the Nendoroid a completely different atmosphere! Mix and match with your collection to find some expressions that suit her!

I really wanted to play around with a few more expressions myself, but Shuu-chan said she was headed off to an event display, so I didn’t have the time!!

The Nendoroid on display at TYPE-MOON Fes has finally been painted!

Yay!! I’ve been waiting for her, I can’t wait to look inside!! When Mahoutsukai no Yoru first came out I stocked up on food and spent the whole weekend stuck in my house playing until I had a massive headache.

There is nothing more exiting then getting to play one of TYPE-MOON’s latest releases! I can’t wait for a sequel!!

From famous game developer TYPE-MOON’s latest work, ‘Mahoutsukai no Yoru’ comes a Nendoroid of the game’s main character and heroine, Aoko Aozaki! Enjoy the company of the apprentice witch whenever you like, in the pose of your choice! Aoko is also known for her rather bountiful bust…

Which is even nice and clear on the Nendoroid!! (ﾟ∀ﾟ)

This is how she looks from the back!

Even though the sculpting is fairly simple, the hair has a lovely dynamic look to it. The way the hair on the side stands up is also a perfect rendition of the illustrations! As a side note, I have to say that Aoko’s skirt is incredibly short… it was really hard to get a picture not showing anything…

The pose from the key visual!

A lovely jumping pose! She comes with both bent arms and legs, so you can probably recreate the pose from the game’s packaging as well… I’ll have to try out for myself later!

She comes with a shouting expression!

Aoko is often quite cranky, so a shouting pose like this is actually very suited to her. It’s perfect to pose her shouting out orders as the head of the student council. I’m sure there are many fans of this angry side of Aoko!

Plus if use it in conjuction with the folded arms you see here, it really looks like she is angrily shouting about something! (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

A chibi face for some more comical poses!

Aoko often had this expression in her dailogue with Soujurou, it has a kind of surprised and embarrassed feel to it and looks lovely!

It also has the potential to be used with all other Nendoroids, which is something I love to have with expressions.

A special magical circle pedestal!

Those who have played the game will know which scene this is from instantly – it even has edges made to look like debris! I don’t want to spoil anything, but this really is an amazing fight scene!!!

The scenario itself is amazing, but the production and music really bring everything together for an absolutely incredible scene! I just stared at the sceen with my mouth half open…

She also comes with magic effect parts!
There are actually three magic circles in one, another perfect rendition of a scene where Aoko is fighting a certain opponent! I love seeing figures in poses from the game like this, it makes me want to create a little diorama to recreate the scene even further!

But I’m sure there are a lot of fans of the game that are also wondering if a certain other character is going to be joining Aoko… I think any fan would want to see this character join Aoko!!

Nendoroid Alice Kuonji is on her way too!!

Unfortunately I can only show you her back today, but I’m sure we’ll be able to take a closer look at her very shortly! But even just looking at her back there is so much I want to say about her…

Will she come with her cape and hat? Will she come with sitting parts? (I want to have her sitting next to the fighting Aoko Nendoroid!), will she come with her little robin? I’m really not sure what parts she’ll come with, so we’ll have to just wait and see!!

She looks like she’s under a lot of pressure!! But it’s such a cute pose!!
This isn’t actually one of Aoko’s expressions, but the eye color was similar so I decided to try it on her… this is actually an expression from a Nendoroid I’ll be introducing on the blog tomorrow. You’ll have to wait and see who it is!

A collection of the heroines from TYPE-MOON PC games over the past 10 years! The set includes many classic characters as well as characters from the most recent TYPE-MOON game – the perfect set for TYPE-MOON fans!

There are 12 characters, including one secret character to collect!!
Just looking at them all posed together makes me really exited! They look magnificent!

This is how they look from the back!

The amount of detail on the tiny Nendo Petites never ceases to amaze me! I can’t wait to take these home for myself!! Some of you might actually remember the name ‘TYPE-MOON Collection’ from a previous figure set from ALTER.

We got permission from ALTER to use the same poses as that set!
I loved that set of figures, and still have them displayed at home myself – I think they’ll look great displayed alongside the Nendo Petites!

Saber is wearing a lovely dress and also comes with a replaceable arm part allowing you to either give her a bent arm like this, or display her with Excalibur, which you can see in the previous photos. Plus Rin is in her famous red coat! Isn’t she gorgeous!!

Arcueid Brunestud & Ciel!
These two also look gorgeous! Arcueid even comes with a few snakes at her feet! I still remember how much I enjoyed Tsukihime the first time I played it, and I can’t thank the person who recommended it to me enough, I really loved that game!

I’m also very much looking forward to the remake. I’m saving all my leave for the day that it releases!! 😛

I really can’t wait to display this Saber together with the Nendoroid, figma and 1/8th scale version of her – the size comparison would look so amazing!! Irisviel also comes with her wire bird, so you display her with her figma counterpart in the same pose as well!!

Alice is just so adorable! I can’t get enough of her!! I would happily become a servant for the Kuonji household and deal with all her commands!!

I still take great care of a Shiki figure I got over six years ago. I’ve read Kara no Kyokai so many times that I’ve lost count… it’s really one of my best series ever. Phantasmoon is also amazing, I almost wish we had a full-size Nendoroid of her as well!!

I had to make a quick call to Kanegon to make some special goodies were left for me to play with…

Aha! Package located!!

The blog has been featuring a lot of figures from other figure companies recently, and I’m always even more nervous about playing with prototypes from other figure makers… plus I was told that this prototype was off for magazine photos after I was done with it, so I had to make sure I didn’t leave a scratch on her!! 😛

That said, it’s hard to get a good look at the figures if you can’t get to events, so I’ll be sure to get a lot of lovely photos for everyone!!

1/8 Scale Homura Akemi!

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the calm and cool Puella Magi, Homura Akemi, sculpted by Satoshi Toda (Principality of Kagutsuchino). The unique sculpting work of Toda-san creates a figure that has an incredible presence!

This is how she looks from the back!

The crease in her tights just behind the knee needs a special mention! The detail really gives the whole figure an amazingly realistic effect!

A lovely sleek pose!

Her whole body from her upper arm down to her waist is simply gorgeous! I think this photo is actually the best of all the pictures I took of her, as the close up on her body really shows off the sensual appeal of the figure. Her clothes are also sculpted to look so soft and velvety!

A super sexy expression!!

Toda-san’s sculpting is well known for these more realistic expressions – just look at that charming little mouth! When I get hold of her for myself I think I’ll add a topcoat onto her lips to make them more shiny!  (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

Her pistol and shield!

Two items that really define Homuhomu are of course a part of this lovely figure! The shield is painted a tannish color that fits together perfectly with Toda-san’s sculpting style!

The pedestal is also very elaborate!

The base at the bottom is sculpted to look like the space-time continuum, while the actual part Homuhomu is standing on is made to look like a soul gem. Both make use of lovely clear parts and the pedestal as a whole is placed at an angle which really suits the posing.

The lacing on the skirt looks so fluffy!

I love it when dresses have a large fluffy lace, so this is perfect for me! Plus you get to see her lovely thighs alongside the fluffiness!

Just look at those lovely curves!

Her waist is just perfect…. I could look at it forever!

The figure gives off a somewhat more mature look compared to the normal Homuhomu, which also means it’s all the more sexy!

The sculpting of the hair is beautiful!!

The dynamic feeling the hair gives is fantastic, it seems to curve in at the ends so neatly! A perfect example of that third dimension that really gives a whole different appeal to anime characters!

The figure as a whole really is the perfect example of all Toda-san’s unique styles coming together to make a wonderful figure!
