Hatsune Miku Goods!

Today I’m at the Yokohama Arena for Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2013! I’m helping out with product sales, so I thought I’d dedicate this blog to looking at some of the Hatsune Miku goods! Let’s start off with…

Earphone Jack Accessories!

Adorable little figures based on illustrations by Y-Oji, Souno and Putidevil! They’re all so cute!

My personal favorite is Hatsune Miku: Fluffy ver.!


This Miku is attached to a strap making it easy to use with the iPhone 5 too! It even has a hook so you could attach it to a zip or something else instead!

I just saw GSC’s resident Miku lover and the head planner for these earphone jacks is wandering around the offices, so lets see if she has anything to add!

In the corner of GSC’s offices, a bunch of staff are hard at work!

You probably can’t quite tell what they’re doing, so let me explain with a photo!

They’re putting sashes into bags for these events!! (σ｀･ω･)σ


At both Magical Mirai 2013 and CharaHobby 2013…

The first 390 customers to buy Nendoroid Petite: Mikudayo will receive one of these sashes with the event name on as a bonus to display with her! ヾ(･ω･o)ﾉ

Here is a list of what will be on sale at the event:

The ever-popular Attack on Titan and wooser goods will be available along with Danganronpa goods! There will also be some goods from the anime starting in October, ‘Arpeggio of Blue Steel‘.

The Nendoroid Petite Hatsune Miku Selection will also have early sales following on from Magical Mirai! So those who have been waiting to get their hands on Romeo and Cinderella Miku will finally have a chance!

Nendoroid Mikasa Ackerman

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I tried to sing Attack on Titan’s opening, ‘Guren no Yumiya’ at karaoke the other day, but I just couldn’t get the lyrics out… the only parts I could sing with confidence were buta yo! and Jäger!!! (｀・ω・´；)

On that note, today I’ll be taking a look at none other than…

Nendoroid Mikasa Ackerman!

From the anime series ‘Attack on Titan’ comes a Nendoroid of Mikasa Ackerman! She comes with three expressions including her standard expression, a shouting expression and a stunned expression. The Nendoroid also includes her Vertical Maneuvering Equipment and dual blades, as well as effect parts to display her soaring through the air with the equipment.

You can even pose her as if she were striking down into a Titan’s neck by making use of the included blood effect parts which attach to her blades. The scarf that Eren gave her is also included to create even more scenes from the series.

The silent, expressionless beauty!

The perfect girl who shares her name with a Japanese battleship! I’m confident she is just as strong as any battleship!! (っ´∀｀)っ

The Trainees Squad emblem is already looking rather nostalgic…!

Here we have posed ready to fight!

I have to say that recently…
I’ve started to warm up to muscular girls more! ♥

All thanks to characters like Valmet and Sakura-chan!!

She also comes with her Vertical Maneuvering Equipment, which is super detailed and makes for amazing poses!

Mikasa’s combat ability goes far beyond most heroines! (=´Д`=)ﾉ

Effect parts to attach to the equipment to pose her flying through the air is also included, allowing for even more dynamic poses!

You can even put her in this famous pose!

This confident pose makes her look so gallant! (●´ω｀●)

She is said to have the same fighting potential as 100 normal soldiers, and I think the confidence in this pose shows that is true even for her Nendoroid! She also comes with a shouting expression which is perfect for combat scenes!

Ooh! More effect parts!! ((((((ﾉﾟ⊿ﾟ)ﾉ

(・∀・) “Yep! Bust not just any effects, blood effects!!“

Today we are once again joined by Kyojin from the planning team!

(・∀・) “The blood is included to allow you to pose her as if slicing up one of the Titans in an epic battle! It helps shows just how skilled she is with the swords!”

I see, I see! I also see there are a total of three expressions?
Explain the third one for everyone!

(・∀・) “The third expression is a ‘stunned’ expression. It also works nicely as a despairing face!”

Oooh!! Even as a Nendoroid she looks so sorrowful!
Seeing that confident Mikasa like this… all hope may be lost…!

(・∀・) “This expression comes from a scene in the 8th volume of the manga.”

It hasn’t been in the anime yet, but it’s quite the scene to remember!

(・∀・) “Those only watching the anime can definitely look forward to seeing this scene soon!”

Both her legs come with bent forms which also allows for a pose like this! I didn’t think I’d ever see Mikasa looking so powerless!! (゜д゜；)
There are so many characters I want to try putting this expression on!!

(・∀・) “She also comes with the scarf she got from Eren, which can be posed around her head to cover her nose!”

(・∀・) “Here we have Mikasa enjoying Eren’s lingering scent!”

Oooh!! now that you mention it, she must be enjoying Eren’s scent! (*´Д`) (*Kahotan’s imagination)

The pose I put her in actually makes it look as if she is really happy about something after all… 😛

Adding in a background really helps being out the atmosphere of the series! This will be great for amazing displays! っε=(｡・д・｡)

1/8th Scale Karen Araragi

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I’m an only child and all of my cousins are younger than me, so I’ve always wished for an older brother or sister… and when I try to think of who would be the perfect older brother for me, I always come to the conclusion that it should be Koyomi Araragi!

On that note, today I’m going to be taking a look at the 1/8th scale of one of his real little sisters…

Karen Araragi!

Karen-chan!!! ♥♥


Just look at that long flowing hair!
That bright yellow jersey!
The jet black tank-top!
Those hips underneath the tank-top!

An energetic pose filled with highlights for the Fire Sister in charge of combat – Karen-chan! The interesting thing is that the figure also has a strangely sexy appeal to it too!!

Speaking of Karen and sexy… that toothbrushing scene really was something I don’t think anyone will ever forget… I for one most enjoyed it!

This is how she looks from the back! Look at all those dynamic twists and turns in her hair! It’s quite hard to tell through all the clothes, but her spine has also been faithfully sculpted onto the figure!(σ・∀・)σ

Speaking of clothes though, her yellow jersey can actually be removed!

Of course the Fire Sisters fried-egg-like hair accessory has also been faithfully sculpted on the figure!

Let’s see if we can get a better angle from lower down…


Hmm… a little more….


That line from her hips to her stomach!! What a sight!!

I would like to personally thank the wind for blowing her tank-top up like this for us to see inside! ヾ(*´∀｀*)ﾉ

Karen-chan may be a powerful fighter who dedicates her body to justice… but she’s still a girl with some lovely, lady-like points! (｀・ω・´)

Her cute bottom also gets a very high score in my book!


The boundary line of skin between her pants and tank-top is lovely! (*´･∀･)ﾌﾎﾎ

Hmm, and this area gets three stars for softness:

Her folded arms are placed in such a way that they’re almost inviting you to take a look from the top like this… I couldn’t help myself!


But there is still much more to enjoy!

Moving on we have… her beautiful legs!!!

From what I’ve been told, her legs and pants are also both made as separate parts… and that means…
I’m sure you can guess that that means! (ΦωΦ)

Karen herself is amazing, but there is another part to this figure that I haven’t even touched on yet! The huge road roller base is just as amazing!

As you might guess, the little lights on the bottom section are fitted with a joint to be placed at whatever angle you want! (・∀・)

The bolts all over the stand are also incredibly intricate! ♪

Apparently the production team went out and bought specialist magazines about heavy machinery in order to help sculpt this correctly! The roller section even includes areas that are battered and dented from all the previous jobs!


The gradient on the hand rails even adds a slight fading effect to some of the paint – just as you’d expect to see on this kind of machinery!

      I’ll follow Onii-chan’s orders without question!!”


A refreshing line filled with confidence! (…and maybe a trace of masochism.)
I wish I could say it myself!!

Nendoroid Petite: Macross Heroines

I don’t think anyone expected it, but…
wooser is getting a second season!!

This was announced at Anisummer today!

Nendoroid Petite: Macross Heroines!



As a part of Macross’ 30th anniversary, a set of heroines from various Macross series are being released in a cute set of Nendoroid Petite trading figures! The set contains a total of seven characters to collect, including Lynn Minmay, Sharon Apple, Mylene Jenius, Sara Nome, Ranka Lee, Sheryl Nome and one secret character! Be sure to collect and display them all together! ♪

A collection of the idols of the Macross universe coming together for the 30th anniversary of the series!♥

Let’s take a closer look at each of them, starting with…

But with that said, I wonder why this appearance was chosen for the Nendoroid Petite? We’ll have to have a word with the lead planner, Otanaka-shi to find out!

Today is the Koshien stadium baseball finals, so I decided to have some baseball mascots help out with the blog today! ♥

Nendoroid Rin Natsume! ♪

She was shipped out from GSC today and should be in stores shortly! One of the members of the Little Busters who enjoy their youth to the fullest – from being heroes of justice to an amateur baseball team! I remember watching the series and wishing that my days in school could have been half as exciting as theirs… (ﾉ_-｡)

Anyway, let’s take a look at some of her… hmm?

It’s Nendoroid Kudryavka Noumi: Summer Uniform Ver.!!


I loved this Nendoroid as it included one of her doggies, Strelka!


But Rin also comes with some cute animals to display together with her!!

He is just as big and cute as he was in the series!! I’m sure you can tell just how big he is by comparing him with the figma! ε=(｡・д・｡)

(・∀・) “The cats that Rin takes care of are an important part of her character so we had to include at least two! Plus they’re super cute!”


(・∀・) “We couldn’t include then all, but she does also come with Lennon, who can even be posed in fun ways like this!”

Speaking of cats… Rin’s cat ears were also super cute! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ


(・∀・) “Yep! Plus her ears make use a new design thought up by Nishibu-kun!!

Oh? Then we better see if we can get Nishibu-san to join us!

(　・∀・) “At first we were just going to make two separate hair parts for the cat ears…”

(・∀・) “But there were already so many big parts like Dorj! I’m sure it would have been too much!”

(　・∀・) “Which is why we needed to come up with something like this!”


This is actually really simple to use! The cat ear parts connect neatly into the front hair parts and can be replaced with the earless version just as easily! ♪

(・∀・) “So the ear parts have been shrunk down to their own special parts!”

(　・∀・) “It took awhile to insure that the parts connected neatly and easily, but it all worked out well!”

Which expression do you guys like best? The cute embarrassed expression?

This hissing expression probably suits her best with the cat ears… but it really doesn’t matter! All of her expressions are so cute!!!

Nendoroid Saber Alter: Super Movable Edition

Hello everyone! Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I’ve been a fan of magical girl shows since the days of Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura! I still remember buying my very first magical girl goods when I was in 6th grade! Speaking of magical girl anime series from this season… we of course have this lovely series!

Fate/kaleid liner: Prisma Illya! ♪


This is a figure released by Phat! back in May, which is actually based on the manga of the series! Phat! will also be releasing this adorable Minicchu of Illya as an extra in the limited edition of the ‘Fate/kaleid liner: Prisma Illya’ 3DS game which is scheduled to release in September!


She’s so cute!!! ヾ(＠°▽°＠)ﾉ

I’m also a huge fan of the Homurabara Academy school uniform, so I hope we get to see her in that too!! The latest episode of the series jumped from elementary school maids into a much more serious discussion and keeps taking such interesting turns! Today I’m going to be introducing a Nendoroid of a character that appeared in episodes 4-6 of the series…

Nendoroid Saber Alter:
Super Movable Edition!

From the popular PC game ‘Fate/stay Night’ comes a Nendoroid of the ominous Saber Alter! She comes with two expressions including her standard expressionless face as well as a shouting expression! Her mask is also included and can be attached and removed to either expression!

Also included as optional parts are two swords – her holy sword Excalibur dyed a dark black, as well as the sword erupting with dark energy, Vortigern – posing her with either sword together with the shouting face allows you to pose her in various combat scenes from the series!

We’ve already had a blue and red Saber…
Now it’s time for the black version!

In Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya she was took on more of a side-role, but today she’s taking the main stage for this review!

Saber Alter is the alternate form of Saber with a much darker side and ominous appearance! The fact that the character who is normally the main heroine has this alternate dark side is somehow really appealing to me! (｀・ω・´)

This is how she looks from the back! ♪

Her jet black armor and skirt have been faithfully sculpted, even from the back!

Plus she is fully articulated!!

The latest in the ‘Edition’ series of Nendoroids, filled with all the hard work and love of Oda-P and Takanon-shi!! ♥

Her mask can be attached and removed whenever you like!


The armor is made with special materials that give it a lovely shiny and metallic look that gleams in the light!

In case you’re wondering, this is how the mask connects onto the hair parts!

The U-shaped part here connects the mask and the hair together. In other words the Nendoroid comes with three parts – the mask, the hair and the U-shaped connector, which all connect together to allow you to pose her wearing the mask!

You can see the design has really been kept clean and simple to make sure that nothing gets in the way of creating your favorite poses!

Vortigern is included to help you recreate even more scenes from the Fate series!

Somehow whenever I look at this pose I can’t help but think of a baseball player having just hit a homerun…! I swear that this it almost an exact copy of one of the release cuts!! I think I managed to copy the pose pretty well! ヽ(´Д｀;≡;´Д｀)丿

But wait! Some of you may remember a Saber Alter Nendoroid in the past!
Well remembered! ヽ(･ω･´(｀･ω･´)ﾉ｀･ω･)ﾉ─ッ!!!

Nendoroid No.13 was in fact ‘Nendoroid Lazy Saber Alter!’

This figure featured on Mikatan Blog back on the 6th November 2007! It was a WonFes exclusive item so many years back!! She was also quite a milestone in the Nendoroid series, as according to my information…

She was the first Nendoroid to be sculpted with 3DCG data!

The original Nendoroid Lazy Saber was sculpted by hand instead, which is why they seemed rather different at the time! :*:・(￣∀￣)・:*:

I have to say I still love looking at the super-relaxed version of Saber! But all this brings up an interesting question… why are we suddenly making a Nendoroid of Saber Alter?! （？△？）

Let’s see if we can find someone to answer that question!

(・∀・) “Based on that we simply had to transform all the Saber’s into Nendoroids!!

Nendoroid Saber Bride was also announced at the last WonFes, wasn’t she?!

(・∀・) “Yep! Gilgamesh was also announced!”

One of the long awaited male Nendoroids from the Fate series!


(・∀・) “He’s not the first though! A lot of people might think so, but Berserker in the Nendoroid Petite Fate/stay Night Extension set was first!”

He was in a Nendoroid Petite set, but still around the same size as a regular Nendoroid due to his size!

But with these Sabers and Gilgamesh all ebing announced… I don’t suppose we can expect to see Rin any time soon? She even appears in the current Fate/kaleid liner after all!

(・∀・) “Hmm. Maybe… just maybe we’ll see if that can be announced at some point. No promises just yet!”

I look forward to seeing what the Fate series has in store for us!

I definitely want to try it, but I’ve already had lunch… let me see what else there is! Hmm… the right-hand side is only available until the 8th September!!!

I love choosing things that are available for a more limited time!
I’ll take one Maizono-san Cupcake!

And for my drink, I’ll go with a… Monokuma Drink!

There are a total of three different mats!!

I managed to get photos of two of the mats, but unfortunately all the tables with the third mat were taken while I was visiting… (ﾉ_-｡)

You probably won’t be able to pick which mat you want, so you just have to hope you’ll get the one with your favorite characters on!!

Now I just need to wait a bit for my food…

The cupcake features the ‘dying message’ seen in the series! It was almost too cute to eat, but it didn’t take me long to get over that idea once I tasted it!

The Monokuma drink had a really healthy taste to it! I haven’t had such a milky drink in ages, which made it all the more delicious! ♪

Plus every order from the Danganronpa menu includes little presents to take home! I got a lovely placemat and a Monokuma coaster with my order! ♥

You can also pay a little extra to have the placemat laminated to ensure that it lasts for much longer once you take it home!

But that’s not all… you also receive a badge with any order! It’s completely random which badge you get, so you’ll have to test your luck!

The gods of the capsule machine were not on my side this day… although he does has the same surname as me, so I guess it was fate!!

Nendoroid Sasami Tsukuyomi

Hello everyone! Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

GSC has been on Summer break from Wednesday last week until today! I spent my break fighting off the mosquitoes by burning mosquito repellent incense sticks…

…and playing with some lovely reptilian friends! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

I hope everyone had a good time while I was away, whether you were on holiday or not! But anyway, let’s move onto today’s main topic…

A product being shipped out from GSC today…
Nendoroid Sasami Tsukuyomi!

Nendoroids are most often sculpted wearing their school uniforms, but Sasami-san is rather unique as she is wearing her cute pyjamas! Even within the GSC offices she has become quite popular for having a very unique feeling compared to most other Nendoroids!

Her box makes use of a gentle violet and light orange to match her outfit – it makes for a strangely relaxing color scheme!

This is how the packaging looks! Filled with optional parts to play with! (σ・∀・)σ


She even comes with an alternate lower body part to pose her sitting with her legs up, balancing her VAIYO laptop on her knees!


Here we have Sasami-san looking a little tired after watching her brother for too long. Even her curly bed hair has been faithfully recreated in Nendoroid form – and she even comes with a detachable ahoge for when you pose her without the hat!

The patterns all over her pyjamas have also been faithfully shrunk down to Nendoroid size! Apparently this was a rather difficult task for the production team!

Right, now it’s time to have some fun! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Seen she is wearing pyjamas, the first character I thought to swap parts with was another character that shares a tired expression – Nendoroid Frau Koujiro! ♪

Even her hair color and eyes match!
They must be sisters!! ( ﾟдﾟ )

It’s almost unbelievable how well these two match up with each other! Even the fact that they’re both computer experts matches!! ♪

Next up…!

“I-It’s not like I’m doing this for you!!”

I couldn’t resist making a pose like this!! ヾ(´∀｀＊)

This expression comes from Nendoroid Yui Takamura, and suits Sasami-san perfectly! I’ve been waiting to make this pose since I saw the prototype! <●><●>

We also have Nendoroid Kyon: Disappearance Ver. taking the role of Sasami-san’s brother, Kamiomi! But there are still more poses that I was looking forward too…

Just by changing the pose and angle a bit, the sleepy expression can become more of a depressed expression just like this! (　・д・)/

You can even pose her fending off a Mikudayo invasion!

It seems that Mikudayo has multiplied!
We may not have much longer before she starts to take over…!

Aah! This is so much fun!!

It’s nice to have a sample instead of a prototype as I don’t need to worry about breaking it too much!

Today I’m also told that Tsukkii from the manufacturing team has something to show everyone! Let’s see what he has to say! ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ

Here we go, a look at the T1 of Miku: Deep Sea Girl ver! ♪

Ooh, transparent coral?!

Apparently that is still one of the things under consideration – what to use in order to keep a coral-like texture while still being mass producible! Obviously the final product will be fully painted, so don’t worry about that! (｀・ω・´)

The frilly dress already looks amazing!!

The gentle, twisty feeling really looks just like something underwater! I can’t wait to get my hands on the final product version!! ﾜｸ(ﾟ∀ﾟ≡ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾜｸ
