figma Rin Shibuya & figma Anzu Futaba

Only 10 days left until WonFes!!

001
Nitohei! Are you alright?! Σ(゚Д゚;)

As you can see from the mask, it seems Nitohei from Max Factory has come down with a New Year’s cold and isn’t feeling too well… He is one of the main supervisors for WonFes, so I hope he feels better over the next 10 days!!

■ [MAX] figma Anzu Futaba
■ [MAX]Tomokazu Seki: Glenfire
■ [Phat] Dekacchu Kirari Moroboshi

The Glenfire figure between his legs certainly looks interesting, but today I’m going to be borrowing the two figmas! (Although I’m not entirely sure I’ll be giving them back…)
011
From IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls:
figma Rin Shibuya!

From the hugely popular social game ‘IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls’ comes a figma of Rin Shibuya in her school uniform. She comes with a standard expression, a smiling expression as well as bashful smile with closed eyes. Special parts to display her with one hand in her pocket are also included and her pet dog ‘Hanako’ is included, together with a leash to take him out for walks.

figma Anzu Futaba!

From the hugely popular social game ‘IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls’ comes a figma of Anzu Futaba wearing casual clothes. She comes with a yawning expression, a forced smile as well as a dead tired expression with closed eyes. A number of extra parts are included, such as her favorite plushie bunny, a game console, some candy. Tear-shaped stickers are included which can be used as tears on the yawning expression, or sweat on the tired expression.

Aren’t they lovely?!

As expected of Max Factory, they really are perfect figma renditions of the characters!! I know it seems a bit pretentious to praise products from our sister company so directly, but I can’t help it – what’s perfect is perfect!! 😛

You can also see the difference in height is easily noticeable between the two characters… it’s small things like that which really make me love figures! I’m still stunned at how beautifully these two came out…
008
This is how the packaging looks!

They both come with three different expressions, as well as a couple of optional parts that suit their character!

If you know the characters you’ll know exactly how well the extra parts suit them – Nitohei really put his heart into these figmas, and it shows! (By the way, Nitohei is a cool-type player in Cinderella Girls!)
003
Rin standing in a cool pose!

“Hmm, so you’re my producer? I guess you don’t look too bad.”

When I see her standing like this, I instantly hear this line playing through my mind! This pose uses the smiling expression together with the special arm that lets you display her with her hands in her pockets!

Hanako’s neck and collar can be rotated around, so you can display her in a way that suits your posing for Rin! Little details like this are always nice to see!
004
Here we have a playful Rin!

It looks like she’s having a great time with Hanako!! It’s so adorable!!!

It’s lovely to be able to create your very own poses like this, which is exactly why action figures like figmas are so great! Your very own version of Rin can stand right beside you!
005
Anzu-chan is also super cute!

This is dangerous… I think she’s almost TOO cute! Her shirt reads ‘If you work, you lose’, and it’s made from a very soft material so that you can pose around it, which means you can easily pose her sitting like this!

The expression here is the forced smile – it suits her so well, and every time I see it I wish I could give her some candy!!
006
Anzu-chan lazing about!

I’ve left the game open beside her so you can see just how similar this pose looks to the one in the game! The T-shirt is different, but the game console and candy that are included recreate the scene almost perfectly! Every time I see this image of Anzu-chan I can’t help but break a little smile…

The plushie she is using as a pillow here even has some dirty paintwork to recreate the original illustration down to the finest of details – something like that seems small, but it’ll cause a lot more work in the manufacturing process… but Max Factory always puts in the extra effort!
009
Rin is trying to convince Anzu-chan to work with candy!

You can display the two together like this to create some interesting situations!

If only there were even more figmas of the Cinderella Girls… I want to create my own Cinderella Girl theatre!! I’m hoping for even more characters, Nitohei!!
007
figma Rin Shibuya & figma Anzu Futaba!
She will be available at the WonHobby booth at the 2013 Wonder Festival (Winter)!

There will also be one week of online orders, so if you can’t make to the event, you can also order them online. (But they’ll be made to order, so they’ll only be delivered in June.)

Dekacchu Kirari Moroboshi

Only 11 days left until WonFes!!

001
The WonFes countdown has now officially begun! All of the WonFes product samples are also arriving, so it’s quite stressful in the GSC offices making sure everything is ready for the event!

But that also means that for the next 5 days, I’ll be reviewing the WonFes products! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

If you’re wanting a review of one of the WonFes products, then keep an eye out on the blog for the next few days!

■ Dekacchu Kirari Moroboshi

Today I’ll be taking a look at… this cute giant! (`・ω・´)
002
From IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls:
Dekacchu Kirari Moroboshi!

From the popular social game ‘IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls’ comes a special version of one of Phat! Company’s new Minicchu series, a much bigger ‘Dekacchu’ version of Kirari Moroboshi! She is approximately 4 times bigger (220mm) than the Minicchu version, so fans can enjoy even more cute power from the lovely Kirari!

This Dekacchu comes from Phat! company, who also brought us the upcoming Minicchu Cinderella Girls figures!

But this version of Kirari has been supersized by the planning team’s Takamatsu! Both him and I are the two biggest ‘Passion’ players here in the offices! (Kirari is a Passion type in the Cinderella Girls game, so I ‘m really exited to see this giant version of her!)
003
But anyway, let me get on with the product review!

A size comparison with a Minicchu and a figma!

You can see here just how big she is!! She is 186.2cm tall! ‘Dekai’ means ‘Huge’ in Japanese, so compared to the ‘Mini’ in Minicchu – you can see where the name ‘Dekacchu’ comes from! It’s still a great size to hold in both hands though!

I think I’ll take Kirari for a tour around the offices, so you can compare for yourself and get a good feel for her impressive size! (`・ω・´)b
004
Standing on the photocopier!

She really is super cute and super huge!! The photocopier looks like a stage to me all because Kirarin is standing on it! (I think I’m going mad… :P)

006
Displayed with a coffee machine!

If Kirarin were to pour me a cup of coffee, I don’t think I’d ever drink anything but coffee for the rest of my life! (Yep… definitely going mad. :P)
005
Compared to the size of someone’s head!

It looks like this lucky fellow is about to have Kirarin step on his head!
Could there be a greater honor?! ^^
009
The giant GSC-Seijin also loves her!

I think this is the first time I’ve ever felt jealousy toward a plushie doll…
007
She’s good friends with Jumbo Miku!

Miku is very glad to have some friends that are about the same size as her!

There are so many places I can think to put figures like this on display… the entrance hall, your room, your bed, on the sofa… they’ll look great almost anywhere, not to mention you get to spend every day with them!!

And finally, a quick notice! (=゚ω゚)ノ
001
The Character Charm Collection: Puchimasu! are being rereleased!!

There are only 10 in the picture above, but there are actually a total of thirteen to collect: Haruka-san, Makochii, Yayo, Io, Chicchan, Miura-san, Koami, Komami, Chibiki, Takanya, Yukipo, Afuu and Chihyaa!

They’re all up for preorder again from today!

If you missed out on the first batch, don’t miss out on this opportunity to get your hands on them!
011
Tomorrow I’ll take a look at these two!

Just from playing around a little with them, I can see they are incredibly high quality!! Not to mention the extra parts are simply amazing!

Painting a Nendoroid Expression Part 7: Preparing to Apply the Gradient

Nendoroid Painting, Day 7!

goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
It’s been awhile since I was last here… (´ー`)

This has become a much longer series than I expected, but I know a lot of people have been asking me to continue! I’ve really done my best to get up to this point, and I feel nervous every time I think about continuing. ^^;

But I’m definitely going to see this through to the end, so I do hope you’ll enjoy this blog series through to the end! (`・ω・´)

You can find the previous posts in the series here:
Painting a Nendoroid Expression Part 6: Pupils and Shadows

Painting a Nendoroid Expression Part 4: Preparing to Apply Color
Painting a Nendoroid Expression Part 3: Continuing to Paint the Eye Borders
Painting a Nendoroid Expression Part 2: Painting the Eye Border
Painting a Nendoroid Expression Part 1: Basic Knowledge & Tools
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
This is where we ended last time!

I haven’t seen her in awhile, but she still looks as creepy as ever! 😛

The outlines, base color, pupils, white of the eye and it’s shadow have all been complete at this point! The shadows on the white actually came out much darker than I expected, but there is no turning back – I just need to move on!
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
Now I’ll be applying a gradient to the eyes!

These are the tools I’ll need for this step – it’s just some cardboard with fabric tape stuck on it, with some masking tape on top of that. (the yellow one).

What I’m preparing to do here is cover up all the areas that I don’t want to airbrush with the tape!

I know it’s a little confusing just to read that, but you’ll get the idea once you see the pictures below! I didn’t actually want to use an airbrush, but there is a reason that I decided to use one in the end, which I’ll explain a little bit later…
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
Cutting up pieces free-hand!

Here you can see I’ve cut the masking tape into small strips using a craft knife. It’s best to cut them in slight curves, not perfectly straight. It’s actually easier said than done to cut curves with a craft knife though – sometimes they ended up in rather odd shapes! 😛
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
Here is an example from Kawapon-sensei!

Beautifully cut! Each cut looks just like the last… I guess this is from years of practice as a professional! But I’m not going to cheat – I’ll make use of the tape that I cut, and not the perfectly cut Kawapon tape! 😛
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
Place the strips along the line of the eye.

You should try to leave the black line slightly visible here!

This is to make sure you don’t miss small parts of the inner eye. If you instead cover up a little bit of the inner eye, there will be areas that aren’t coated by the airbrush, which would be almost impossible to correct neatly. Because it’s a gradient, you can’t just quickly go over it with a brush afterwards!
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
Finished covering both eyes!

The line I’ve made with the tape looks a little shaky, I hope that won’t cause too much trouble…

Everyone is so busy with preparations for WonFes at the moment, that I don’t have anyone to check if my taping is alright! 🙁
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
Wrapped up the rest of the face!

When I watched Nendoroid Sonico get made during WonFes, I definitely remember she looked something like this at some point! I’m still really nervous as to whether this is actually going to work out, but I’m just going to trust myself and move onward!!
009
A quick summary of the expression so far!

The basics involve painting with enamel paint and saving with clear lacquer paint – I’ve done this four times now!

The image above represents a cross section of the expression as it stands at the moment. Let me also remind everyone that once you’ve saved with the lacquer paint, you can never go back and change anything on that ‘layer’. The reason I’m going to be using an airbrush for the gradient relates to this…
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
A close-up on Santa Miku’s eye!

Miku’s pupils have a pale gradient in the center as you can see here. This is pretty much impossible with an airbrush and has to be done by hand. This process by hand would be something like this:

Paint with a color diluted 10x with enamel thinner‘save’ with lacquer thinnerPaint with a color diluted 9x with enamel thinner‘save’ with lacquer thinnerPaint with a color diluted 8x with enamel thinneretc…

In other words you need to paint on pale colors and ‘save’ over 10 times for just the pupil!! (((゚Д゚)))

No way!! That would take way too much skill and time!! This same method would be needed to paint the gradient onto the top of the eye as well, and that’s exactly why I decided on using an airbrush instead!
010
The airbrush paints are lacquer paints!

Up until now we’ve been using enamel paints, but the airbrush has to use these lacquer paints. There are different types of airbrushes, so if you’re trying for yourself don’t get the wrong kind!

Now I need to mix up the right color using these lacquer paints – the lacquer thinner and paints need to mixed in a 1:1 ratio until you have the right color.
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
You need a color the same as the pupil color!

Let’s mix up the green and blue and compare it to the pupil color until it looks the same! It might take a little while to get the right color…
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
I think this looks alright…

In the bottom right you can see the color I used for the pupil.

It looks close enough for me, so I’m going to head to the production room now and see if I can use the airbrush!
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
A fellow girl on the expression team!

Nendoroid expressions are made mainly by two girls on the team! During the mayhem of WonFes I feel really bad to ask if I can borrow the airbrush…

As I did though, I was told I first needed to use a ‘chip’ to make sure the colors were correct!
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
A ‘chip’ to test expressions on!

Ah-hah! I see!

You paint on the base color and pupil onto the chip, and then apply the gradient onto the chip first to ensure the colors are matching! If this ends up looking wrong and I hadn’t checked then I would have wasted days of hard work…
I would have been devastated. ^^;
goodsmile company Mikatan's Blog English Version
Let’s add my colors onto the chip!

I also tried to match the size of the test eyes with the Nendoroid expressions – plus they have already been saved with clear lacquer here!

Now I’ll have to place masking tape on these and cut out each circle to begin the gradient testing! The actual final gradient probably only takes a few minutes to paint on, but it takes a lot of skill to make sure you don’t end up messing up over and over again – plus you really can’t mess up when you do the actual expression, or it’s all over!

Seems there is still much more to come!

I honestly thought I’d finish today, but it ended up being impossible! I guess this isn’t the end of the expression series just yet, so I hope you’ll look forward to the next episode! ^^

After WonFes, I shall continue my expression! (=゜ω゜=)

But anyway, that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again tomorrow!! (・∀・)ノ゛

The Monogatari Series Café at the Akihabara GSC-Tetsu Café!

The GSC-Tetsu Café in Akihabara!!
001
I was allowed to come inside before opening time!
I guess this is one of the privileges of working at Good Smile Company! 😛
Once again a new theme café has started!
A ‘Monogatari’ Series Café!
The café includes ‘Bakemonogatari’, ‘Nisemonogatari’ and ‘Nekomonogatari’! Along with great food, there are also original goods to get your hands on as well as a display including the original character sketches and designs from Nekomonogatari!
While I was bothering the staff while they were trying to set up, I also found out that there is a certain prototype on display at the café at the moment!
002
The display area to the right of the entrance!
All the figures from GSC’s 1/8th scale ‘Bakemonogatari’ series are all lined up together! The prototype I was looking for is also here – in the upper right corner of this photo!!
003
1/8th Scale Karen Araragi!
From the popular anime series ‘Nisemonogatari’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the girl who was stung by a bee, Karen Araragi!

The figure is based on the cover illustration used for the 1st volume of the Blu-ray & DVD: “Karen Bee: Part 1”, which features Karen wearing her trademark yellow jersey. Even the huge road roller in the illustration a part of the figure, and the valiant pose has been faithfully reproduced in figure form – Karen truly looks like a ‘hero of justice’!
It’s so… big!!(((゚Д゚)))
The road roller is so big that you really can’t just consider it a pedestal for Karen, it’s like a whole extra figure… if not even bigger! The size isn’t the only impressive thing though, Karen herself looks absolutely amazing too!
015
Her pelvis is super sexy!!
This is actually the first time I’ve had a good look at this figure myself, as the review for her on the blog was done by Shuu-chan while I was out to China! You can find Shuu-chan’s passionate blog post about her over here! (=゚ω゚)ノ
http://mikatan.goodsmile.info/en/2013/01/11/the-bigger-of-the-fire-sisters-a-18th-scale-karen-araragi/
004
This shows just how big it is!
The 1/8th scale Kanbaru-san and Hanekawa-san can both fit on it too… plus there is probably still even enough space for someone else! The Monogatari series figures really are outstanding quality!!
005
The karaoke room is filled with Kaiki!
It has a kind of ominous atmosphere… but that’s what makes it so awesome! Those who make use of the karaoke room will also receive Deishu Kaiki’s business card… I wonder what it looks like!!
006
I decided to take a Hanekawa-san table!
Seen the café wasn’t actually open yet, I was allowed to choose whichever table I wanted! To be honest I wasn’t really a huge Hanekawa-san fan, but after watching Nekomonogatari (Black) last year I’ve definitely fallen for her…
After that I started reading the original novels of the (White) sequel… and now I’ve really come to love her!!
But enough about my thoughts, let’s take a look at the menu!
■ Club Seafood Curry Hitagi Senjogara’s Seafood Curry.
■ Araragi Pasta Koyomi Araragi’s Arrabbiata Pasta
■ Snake Udon Nadeko Sengoku’s Udon Noodles
■ Monkey Pilaf Suruga Kanbaru’s One-Plate Lunch

● Snail Swiss Cake Mayoi Hachikuji’s Swiss Cake
● Kiss-Shot Parfait Shinobu Oshino’s Parfait
● Art Pancake Pancakes featuring illustrations by Hiroki Haritama
▲ Koyomi Araragi Drink White Water + Blue Berry & Banana Syrup
▲ Tsukihi Araragi Drink Ginger Ale + Blue Hawaii + Orange Syrup
▲ Karen Araragi Drink Cola + Dodecamin + Honey
▲ Tsubasa Hanekawa Drink Hot Calpis + Cat-Shaped Pie
Everything looks great, but I guess I’m going to have to pick something!!
008
Araragi-san’s Drink!
It even has his hair sticking up off the straw!
For each drink you order you also receive a coaster of the respective character. I specially picked the Araragi-san drink because I really wanted this coaster!
As for the taste… it’s a lovely mix of blueberry and banana for a very fruity drink! It was delicious!
007
Hitagi-san’s Curry!
The rice and hamburger make up a crab shape! (*゚∀゚)=3
The vegetables and other tasty bits are all arranged in a cute manner that suits Hitagi-san nicely! It comes with quite a substantial helping of rice and meat, so I recommend this one if you’re feeling peckish!
The curry itself wasn’t too hot, I’d say it was a nice mild curry. There were all sorts of tastes and textures to it which made it really enjoyable!
009
All the ‘end-cards’ from the end of the episodes are lined up on the wall!
Each was illustrated by a different illustrator, and here you can see them all together at once!
There are also a collection of materials used in Nekomonogatari to look through – there was even one of Hanekawa-san’s house that featured in the anime, it was amazing!!
010
Kanbaru-san’s Monkey Pilaf!
A monkey’s hand and a basketball! How very artistic! (((゚Д゚)))
As far as the appearance of the dishes goes, this is my personal favorite! (I love Kanbaru too!) The rose near the front here is made from raw ham and was incredibly delicious, and the vegetables, rice and fruits all came together to make a lovely balanced meal. I think I’d recommend this one to all the girls!
011
Mayoi-chan’s Swiss Cake!
It’s a snail!! The berries all around are also so cute!!(´∀`)
Along with the swiss roll as the shell, it also has a piece of cake for the body itself, together with a couple of fruits for a truly sweet experience! There is also lots of fresh cream! Even the biggest sweet-tooths should be satisfied with this tasty snail treat!
For those who think I’m eating way too much, I only ate about half of the curry and pilaf, sharing the rest with some other staff members!
012
Badges are also included as usual!
For each order you make from the menu (either food, dessert or a drink) you’ll receive one badge! There are a total of 30 to collect, with 10 different variations available on any given day. You can take a look at the selection on the café website here!
http://www.gstjcafé.jp/theme-café/1393/
013
Yay, I got Karen!! *・゜゚・*:.。.:*・゜(n‘∀‘)η゚・*:. .。.:*・゚・*
I’m always so lucky when it comes to picking things at random like this!!! The set of badges I was choosing from was the B group – if you’re looking for a specific badge be sure to come on the day that the right group is being given away. They rotate each day!
014
The Monogatari Café runs until the 11th February!
There are also a huge amount of Monogatari series goodies to get your hands on! It’s fun to take a look around, there is delicious food to enjoy and you can buy some merchandise – three different reasons that you shouldn’t miss out!
I hope you’ll all stop by and enjoy the café!!ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ
But that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again tomorrow!! (・∀・)ノ゛

Nendoroid Miho Nishizumi

001
Shuu-chan in a triumphant pose!

There are a number of things I wish to question about this picture, such as why his pinky finger is sticking up, or what that strange cardboard stick is coming out of Oonoshi’s neck… but I’m most interested in taking a look at what Shuu-chan is holding there!!

Today we’ll be taking a look at a product that I know many have been looking forward to!
002
From Girls und Panzer:
Nendoroid Miho Nishizumi!

From the anime series ‘Girls und Panzer’ comes a Nendoroid of Miho Nishizumi, the shy and gentle girl who becomes much more outspoken when it comes to tanks. A special turret is also included which allows you to display her riding the ‘1/35th Scale Plastic Model Kit: Tank #IV D-type – Ankou Team ver.-‘, which was released by PLATZ last year.

A Nendoroid from the popular Girls und Panzer!

We announced her back in December during the Nendoroid #300 Event, but since then we’ve received numerous comments from fans who want to see the prototype! Today I can finally show everyone exactly how she has come out!
003
This is how she looks from the back!

She is wearing her uniform from Ooarai Girls High School which has a lovely green color to it that has come out great on the Nendoroid. The baggy sleeves also look great!

The tank part you see here is also included!! (`・ω・´)

This is the tank that the Ankou Team uses in the series – the Tank #IV D-type! Tanks have always seemed like excessively complex cars to me… it must be tough to follow the “Way of the Tank”!
004
Let’s move onto the other optional parts now!

First up, headphones!

Miho is the squad leader of her team, and so she needs these headphones to give orders to the rest when in combat! The headphones are not actually separate parts, but are instead attached by a separate fringe part.

The headphones themselves are a simple black and silver design, but the texture on the silver areas looks amazing! Shuu-chan from the planning team said that was in fact his favorite part about the figure!!
005
Next, a tense expression and binoculars!

The squad leader always needs to pay attention to her surroundings! She comes with a pair of binoculars and a special right hand part to hold them!

The bent arm is included at different angles for both left and right, allowing for a number of different poses!
006
The binoculars can hang from her neck!

Just attach the included strap parts and place it around her neck. The retro design of the binoculars is lovely – I want to try putting them on some other characters as well!
007
She can also ride inside the tank! Σ(゚∀゚ )
You simply remove the legs and place her upper body into the cupola of the tank for a tank riding pose! (Shuu-chan just taught me the word ‘cupola’! :P).

The turret can also be moved up and down!
008
This is the 1/35th Scale Plastic Model Kit: Tank #IV D-type – Ankou Team ver.-‘, released by PLATZ!

Ah-hah! This is what Shuu-chan was holding at the start of the blog!! It was actually already released last year, so you should be able to find it at one of your favorite model stores!

The reason I’m showing this product here today is because of a special collaboration with the Nendoroid that I’ll show in just a bit… but first lets open up the box and see what’s inside!
009
E-Eek!!

There are so many different tiny parts!! Just putting together a Mini 4WD was a challenge for me… putting this together must require some inhuman skills! The different sections are all labelled with some masking tape, so I’m guessing someone is already working on putting this together.

I was quite tempted to mix around the labels for a second, but I decided that would just be too mean. 😛
010
This is the complete, painted version!

Obviously I didn’t put this together… this one belongs to Noguchi-kun from the production team!

Such incredible paintwork and matte has made it look just like a real tank!! I guess this is what it means to be really good with plastic models!
011
Swap out for the Nendoroid turret!

Oooh!! This is awesome!! Seeing the complete tank together with the caterpillar tracks and all is so much more epic!!

The school badge and Ankou team mark are included as decals with both the Nendoroids and with PLATZ’s tank, no matter which you buy you can decorate the tank to show it belongs to the Ankou team!
002
From Girls und Panzer:
Nendoroid Miho Nishizumi!

She’ll be up for preorder from the 29th January!
Get in contact with our partner shops if you have any order or sales queries!

Finally, a quick notice!!
Nendoroid Miho Nishizumi will be on display at the sales booth of the ‘Girls Und Panzer Screening Event ~Everyone Panzer Vor!~’
It was designed as a collaboration product together with PLATZ’s ‘1/35th Scale Plastic Model Kit: Tank #IV D-type – Ankou Team ver.-‘, so you’ll be able to see just how great they look together for yourself at the event! You can find more information about the event here!

From the anime series ‘Senki Zesshou Symphogear’ comes a Nendoroid of Tsubasa Kazanari, the character who uses ‘Ame no Habakiri’, the first Symphogear System! She comes with three different expressions including a smiling expression, an angry expression and a Swansong expression.

Tsubasa also comes with with four different Armed Gears to wield, including her standard sword, large sword, giant sword and leg blades. A Nendoroid-sized Noise figure is also included allowing you to recreate many popular combat scenes from the show!

She poses so easily and looks great!! Σ(゚∀゚ )

Her legs move around so smoothly, it’s so much fun making poses! The blades on the legs are also fitted with a ball joint so they can be rotated into various angles as well! They also are very hard to take off, so you don’t need to worry about them coming off all the time while you’re trying to pose her!
004
This is how the packaging looks!

She has three different weapons and three expressions! Plus the weapons are huge, and as everyone knows. I love girls with huge weapons!!

On the top right, you can also see the ‘threat to humanity’. the Noise which is also included with her. It’s not a little whale!

By the way, the special Nendoroid stands I spoke about on the22nd January are also included with Tsubasa-san! Last time I got the classroom and road stands, so this time I’m hoping to get the grass one!!
003
The much awaitedSwansong Expression!
It certainly has an amazing impact!

The special stand was actually the grass stand! That means I managed to get all the different stands!
005
From Kara no Kyoukai:
Shiki Ryougi Garannodou!

Shiki Ryougi, the main character of Kinoko Nasu’s light novel is coming back again as a part of Good Smile Company’s 10th anniversary rerelease project!

The pose is based on the cover illustration of the second book, and accurately reproduces the wistful atmosphere of the original art. Special care has also been taken in sculpting her understated bearing and intricate kimono pattern, making her distinctly vibrant and life-like.

Apologies for the delay!! (`・ω・´)

This was one of the products that was announced for rerelease as a part of the 10th anniversary rerelease polls! It ended up taking quite a while to actually be ready, but she has come out looking just as fantastic as ever! Fans of Kara no Kyoukai should not miss out on this amazing figure!!
006
The sculpting and paintwork are beautiful!

This is really one of my favorite characters ever, so I might be a bit biased… but she really looks absolutely fantastic! She was originally released in November 2008, so it’s actually a product from over four years ago – but even now the quality looks just as amazing as recent figures!
007
The expression and hair are also perfect!

Her solemn expression and short hair are a faultless rendition of Shiki! It’s figures like this that really make fans experience the character within the figure – it makes me once again realize how much I want to see more of figures like this, make more figures like this and send out more figure like this!!!!
008
This is how she looks from the back!

The curves of her body and the use of space are also such great aspects of her! Not to mention the amazing print on the kimono – the pattern isn’t just printed on directly, but carefully crafted to suit the creases and turns of the fabric with different graidents… it makes it look incredibly realistic!

As a Shiki fan I really think this is the definitive figure of her, and if you’re unsure whether or not you want her, I strongly recommend her!
009
Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Yukata Ver.!

From the ‘Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku’ comes a Nendoroid of Hatsune Miku wearing a yukata!

The same cute Miku we’ve all come to love is wearing a dark blue yukata with beautiful flower prints scattered along it, creating a very refreshing version of Miku for the hot summer months! She comes with three expressions including her standard smiling expression, a shy expression with a slight blush and an exited expression with sparkling eyes. She also comes with a fan and a pouch that match her yukata perfectly!

This one won’t be in stores, it was a web sales product!

Those who ordered her should be receiving her shortly, if you ordered from the GSC-Tetsu Cafe you’ll be able to pick your order up from there. We also plan to have any excess stock on sale at the cafe from the 30th, so you might be able to pick one up there if you missed out on ordering.

010
This is how the packaging looks!

Quite a simple looking blister pack that almost looks like one of the very first Nendoroids – but it also only cost ¥3000! I love Nendoroids with loads of goodies, but a simple Nendoroid for less is just as nice!
011
Swapping expressions!

The expression with sparkling eyes was the pride of Shuu-chan from the planning team. I’ve decided to but it on Shuukan Hajimete no Miku-san instead! She’s so cute!!

It’s quite a unique looking chibi expression, and I’m sure it’ll suit all the other Miku Nendoroids nicely!

Now for a quick summary of the blog:
Nendoroid Tsubasa Kazanari and Shiki Ryougi Garannodou will be on sale from the 29th, while Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Yukata Ver. will be reaching those who ordered around the 30th! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

Those dates are for Japan though, if you waiting for products overseas or ordered Miku for international delivery, you’ll probably be waiting a little while longer!

Get in contact with our partner shops or the Good Smile Online Shop if you have any order or sales queries!

Anyway, that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again tomorrow!! (・∀・)ノ゛

Nendoroid Alice Kuonji

001
“Today you get to take a look at this amazing figure of me, Robin!”
“I know you’ve all been waiting for this for ages now!”

Hmm… while you are indeed a very cute little birdy, I’m afraid you’re not today’s main review – today we’ll be looking at the young witch that you belong to!
002
From Mahoutsukai no Yoru:
Nendoroid Alice Kuonji!

From the visual novel game ‘Mahoutsukai no Yoru’ comes a Nendoroid of the young witch that lives in hiding, Alice Kuonji! She comes with three different expressions, sitting parts, her familiar ‘Robin’ and various other parts to help you recreate your favorite scenes from the show! Be sure to display her together with the previously released Aoko Aozaki!

Nendoroid Aoko releases today, so I decided to review Nendoroid Alice on the same day! Σ(゚Д゚ )

It also means that I can review Alice together with Aoko, so everyone can see how lovely they look together!
003
This is how she looks from the back!

Alice is well known for her black outfit including a one piece dress, cloak and fluffy hat! The cloak and hat can also be removed, which I’ll show later!
004
“Diddle, diddle’!

This is a bell shaped like a cat, and anyone who has remembers this from game will be impressed with how accurate it looks! Just the fact that it is included is amazing in itself, but to have this much detail is simply a treat!! A special hand to hold up the bell is also included.

The area around the cloak and hips are still very posable, which allows you to pose her slowly walking forward like this!
006
A moon part and sitting parts!

Now these are some really great parts! Σ(゚∀゚*)

This allows you to recreate the very memorable fighting scene at the amusement part! Alice sits elegantly atop the moon, looking down on everyone like a true angel!!

Sitting on her hand you can also see her little bird familiar, ‘Robin’!

Robin is so adorable! It makes me wish I could keep him as a pet of my own!
005
A battle scene between Aoko and Alice!

As more and more figures from a certain series come out, you can recreate more and more scenes like this! This time in particular the extra parts that are included really make for some amazing scenes between the characters!!

Tori Bird was in charge of this series, and he’s done an incredible job!!
008
From Alice’s perspective!

It’s quite amazing how different it feels from up this side – you can really see Aoko is giving it everything she’s got! Placing Alice on a slightly higher platform, has created such a nice ambiance.

You can enjoy figures from absolutely any angle, which means once you’ve made a scene like this, you can look from all sorts of different perspectives!
007
Alice dressed for indoors!

As I mentioned above, the cloak and hat can both be removed. There are also alternate arm parts to complete the indoor look – the standard arms include the fluffy gloves, while the indoor ones just have a puffy sleeve. It’s so nice to have so many choices!!

Here we have Alice with one hand to her chin as she contemplates something. A very different feeling to the combat scenes above, but it still suits her nicely!
009
“Why? What?! Ploy!”

You can’t forget this section of the game! These expressions for both of them are simply way too cute! They look just like the original illustrations!

If you’ve never seen the original expression, you can take a look here!
The Nendoroid design suits it perfectly!
002
From Mahoutsukai no Yoru:
Nendoroid Alice Kuonji!

She’ll be up for preorder next week!
Get in contact with our partner shops if you have any order or sales queries!

Anyway, that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again tomorrow!! (・∀・)ノ゛

Nendoroid GUMI, Nodoka Haramura and Aoko Aozaki

So many product samples have arrived! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ
001
They’re all Nendoroids that ship out from GSC today!

They should be in stores either tomorrow or the day after, so I’ll do a quick review of all three today! I’ve been told that the photos of the blister packs are very useful to people when they’re trying to put all the pieces away – so those photos are of course included too! ヽ(゜∀゜)ノ
002
From Virtual Vocalist Megpoid:
Nendoroid GUMI!

The image character for the Virtual Vocalist Megpoid, GUMI, is finally joining the Nendoroid world! She can be posed in a number of well-known poses, including the pose from the illustration of the packaging and her signature winking pose!

You can even pose her with her goggles down over her eyes for a more stylish pose, or instead choose the cuter option and have her riding on a giant carrot with an adorable chibi expression! GUMI is known to sing a large variety of songs, and this Nendoroid comes with just as many poses for fans to enjoy!

She comes with four expressions! That chibi expression is so cute!!

She comes with all sorts of optional parts, both big and small, and you can use them in all sorts of different variations! Plus…

All Nendos released in January will include a special Nendoroid stand!

The stand will be included in a black bag like the one you can see just above the blister pack here. There are three different variations of the special stands – “Grass”, “Classroom” and “Road” – only one will be randomly included with each product, so you won’t know which one you’ll get until you’ve opened it up!
003
Riding on the giant carrot!

The carrot has a little tab on it to hold her securely in place! You can also pose the carrot in midair like you see here – it holds in place very nicely!

The stand here is the ‘Classroom’ type special stand!
004
This is how the box looks!

She is Nendoroid No.276!

The box has a nice blend of yellow and green to suit GUMI’s colors, and also gives it a very fun and colorful look!

Plus just look at the adorable face again! It’s just too cute!!
005
From Saki Achiga-hen episode of Side-A:
Nendoroid Nodoka Haramura!

From the anime series about girls who play mahjong, ‘Saki Achiga-hen episode of Side-A’ comes a Nendoroid of the popular Nodoka Haramura, also known as ‘Nodocchi’!

A variety of optional parts are also included, such as mahjong tiles and point bars as well as Nodoka’s beloved penguin plushie, Etopen! You can also pose her with the included spaced-out expression to recreate the “Nodocchi mode” that she enters while playing mahjong!

Two different hairstyles and sitting parts!!

Not to mention that Etopen is included in three different versions!! The tiny little mahjong tile even features a print of an actual tile – such amazing detail!
006
Posed sitting on her chair!

Just like GUMI’s carrot, the chair has a little tab on it so that she remains stable when you display her sitting down! Even as a Nendoroid those legs look kind of sexy, not to mention her rather impressive bust!!

The special stand is once again the classroom, it suits Nodacchi perfectly! The classroom stand should suit any characters that wear a school uniform!
007
This is how the box looks!

She is Nendoroid No.267!

A lovely pink that matches up with Nodacchi’s hair color, together with a mahjong tile! I hope one day I’ll be able to play mahjong as well as Nodacchi!
008
From Mahoutsukai no Yoru:
Nendoroid Aoko Aozaki!

From famous game developer TYPE-MOON’s latest work, ‘Mahoutsukai no Yoru’ comes a Nendoroid of the game’s main character and heroine, Aoko Aozaki!

She comes with three expressions including a shouting face to display her giving orders as the head of the student council, an adorable smiling face and an embarrassed chibi face! She also comes with a special pedestal, magic effect parts and a special arm to display her using her magic, allowing her to live up to her ‘Magical Cannon’ nickname. Enjoy the company of the apprentice witch whenever you like, in the pose of your choice!

She comes with huge effect parts!

Fans of Mahoutsukai no Yoru are sure to be quite happy with the way she has come out! She comes with both a standard square stand as well as a special circular stand featuring a magic circle. You can display her in a number of poses from popular scenes, or just however you want to see her!
009
A famous fighting scene from the game!

It recreates the scene perfectly!!!

The magical effect parts in front of her hand for this scene come in three different layers, which makes it look really impressive! The rubble on the ground around her is separate, so you can use it with other characters as well!
010This is how her box looks!

She is Nendoroid No. 277!

Aoko has a lovely blue colored box that suits her name perfectly, as the ‘Ao’ in Aoko means ‘blue’! The special stand you see here is the road stand!

Unfortunately I didn’t get hold of the ‘Grass’ stand, which was actually the one I wanted most! It’s nice to get a stand that matches up with a certain Nendoroid – I hope everyone manages t get hold of the one they want!

Plus, Nendoroid Alice Kuonji will also be officially announced soon!
For now you can grab Aoko to keep you company while you wait for Alice!!

These three Nendoroid should be in stores from tomorrow!
Get in contact with our partner shops if you have any order or sales queries!

Anyway, that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again tomorrow!! (・∀・)ノ゛

Nendoroid Miyako

Shuu-chan’s definitely trying to look from a suspiciously low angle here…
001
Plus with a huge smile on his face!

Everyone else is hard at work with WonFes preparations while Shuu-chan is just sitting on a comfy cushion relaxing!
002From Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb:
Nendoroid Miyako!

From the anime series that’s now onto its 4th season ‘Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb’ comes a Nendoroid of Yuno’s close friend, Miyako! She comes with loads of parts to show off her energetic personality as well as her love for food!

Yunocchi was super cute, and Miyako is just as adorable!!
The Nendoroid Hidamari series are sure to look great displayed together – even just two of them is amazing!! If this isn’t cute, then I don’t know what is!
003
This is how they looks from the back!

I personally love the way her hair looks from this side! Miyako’s hair kind of rolls down her shoulders to the front, but the back is actually tied up nicely! The little tied up area of hair makes me want to grab it for some reason…
004
A smiling face with hands on her hips!

Just looking at this smile is sure to turn a bad day into a good day!

Yunocchi came with a kind-of spaced out smile, while Miyako instead has a big happy looking smile! She also comes with two arms to place her hands on her hips, to recreate this lovely pose!
005
She also comes with a blank expression!

The same kind of blank expression was included with Yunocchi, which lets you choose your own expression from a selection of stickers!

These are the stickers included with Miyako! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

They’re mostly the chibi expressions from the anime, so you’re sure to find a couple that you think suit her best! But what are the stickers on the right for…?
006
They’re to pose her drooling!!

You can also stick them underneath her eyes to create tears instead! The expression here is the sticker on the upper left – it’s so cute!

This pose was actually created based on the opening of the first season – it’s what Shuu-chan (from the planning team) believes they looked just before Miyako eats Yunocchi’s hand! 😛
007
She also comes with cross-legged sitting parts!

Oooh! These are lovely!! I’m sure many of you have noticed already, but this pose also comes from the OP of the first season!

The rice, chopsticks and hanging scroll are also included!

The hanging scroll has the kanji for ‘tuna’ written on it to show her love for food! So much is included just for this pose, and it all fits together so nicely!!
008
Swapping parts with Yunocchi!

Seen they’re both wearing the same uniform, you can easily swap parts around between them without anything looking too odd! (Which means you can probably even pose Yunocchi sitting cross-legged!)

If you decide to get both of them you’ll have way more poses to play around with – plus they look great together!
002
From Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb:
Nendoroid Miyako!

She’ll be up for preorder from tomorrow!
Get in contact with our partner shops if you have any preorder or sales queries!

Anyway, that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again tomorrow!! (・∀・)ノ゛
