Nendoroid Megumi Kato (Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend)

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Megumi Kato!♡

From the popular anime series scheduled to air from April 2017 – ‘Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend ♭’ comes a Nendoroid of the main heroine Megumi Kato wearing her school uniform! Megumi is known to change her hairstyle frequently, and so the Nendoroid comes with different hairstyles to choose from including a bobcut, a ponytail and one secret hairstyle that will be revealed after release – a total of three different hairstyles on a single Nendoroid!

She also comes with three face plates including her standard expression, an embarrassed expression as well as an upset expression. She also comes with special parts to display her squatting with her hands on her cheeks, and her cellphone is also included for her to hold allowing you to pose her in all sorts of different situations.

“Make me a heroine that everyone else envies, okay?”

The main heroine from ‘Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend’ who excels at staying off the radar and never being noticed is joining the Nendoroid series!! She is wearing her Toyogasaki High School uniform which has been faithfully converted into Nendoroid size! Even the cross tie and the buttons on her jacket are intricately sculpted! ♪

Her bob-cut hairstyle with the bangs low down also look adorable in Nendoroid size… but this is in fact just one of three different hairstyles included with the Nendoroid!

The second hairstyle included is this ponytail!!

Those who have seen the anime may remember this hairstyle from episode seven! It’s amazing how much she changes with just a quick change of hairstyle – it’s almost like a completely different character! ♡

Short ponytails are quite uncommon compared to longer ponytails, but they certainly have their own special charm! ( ･ㅂ･)و ̑̑

Another important thing to note is that it’s not only the back of the hairstyle that changes – the front hair parts also change for the different hairstyle!

The longer hair on the sides is all tied up at the back making for a more slimmed down appearance from the front!

However! The third hairstyle is going to remain a secret for now!

You’ll have to wait until release to see what the third hairstyle is!! For now we’re instead going to take a look at her face plates! ★

Along with her cheerful standard expression, she also comes with this embarrassed expression! ♥

S-She’s so adorable!!

The blush on her cheeks together with the unsure expression and the slightly opened up mouth…. and those worried eyebrows!! (/ω＼)

I tried to capture that troubled look by taking this photo with her eyes slightly off center as if she is trying to avert her eyes to hide her embarrassment! Little does she know it only makes it more obvious!!

Is just one of the many original situations you can create with the Nendoroid! I hope everyone will give her lots of love once she joins your collections!

The next face plate is an upset expression!

It’s quite close to the normally expressionless Megumi, but has a bit of an upset feel to it! I’m sure fans will find it quite memorable! She also comes with her smartphone from the series allowing you to pose her in even more scenes from the series or other original scenes! (∩・∀・)∩

Plus, these parts are also included!

Squatting Parts!ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ三ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

Plus she also has arm and hand parts to display her resting her chin in her hands! ♪

(If we look from a slightly lower angle we also get this! So close and yet so far!)

Even when bent legs are included with a Nendoroid, I don’t think I’ve ever paid this much attention to a Nendoroid’s knees!! That lovely round and smooth appearance just calling out to be touched!! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The squatting parts are made up of an alternate lower body part and an alternate skirt part, you simply need to attach it to the normal upper body part to complete the pose! Which of course means you can also easily use the squatting pose with a different hairstyle, expression and arm parts!

Simply select the parts that you think look the cutest! ♡

figma Kid the Phantom Thief & figma True Criminal (Detective Conan)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at FREEing’s latest figures in the figma series! Starting off with…

figma Kid the Phantom Thief!

From the anime series ‘Detective Conan’ comes a figma of Conan Edogawa’s rival – the Phantom Thief, Kid!

Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
He comes with a variety of optional parts including his card gun, a playing card and a rose.
An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

“Yes, I am a thief. My job is to steal. Even if that means I must steal someone’s heart…”

The mysterious Phantom Thief that appears in unexpected places and at unexpected moments – Kid the Phantom Thief is joining the figma series!! ☆

His white suit, white top hat and white cape together with his monocle and that devious smile all capture him so perfectly in figma form!! The slightly frizzy hair has also been faithfully captured which should make fans of the Phantom Thief happy! (´□｀｡)

Even the clasps on the top of his cape have been faithfully included on the figma design!★

From the back you can also tell that the ‘fluttering’ appearance of the cape has been captured nicely! ♥

You can also see his two expressions in the photos above – a pretentious smiling face as well as an alternate smile with his mouth closed making him look a little more serious! ☆

Just looking at him makes me think of his amazing voice and lines from the series! The first character I came to love in the series would have to be Conan, but all the characters in the Detective Conan series all have such appealing designs!

Kid comes with plenty of optional parts too! ♪

You can see the Card Gun in the photos above, and he also comes with two playing cards – the Ace of Spades and a Joker, as well as a hand holding a rose as well as another hand with a dove! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

Plus as you may have noticed from the photos above, his jacket comes with two different parts – one designed for when his hand is in his pocked and another for when he has his hands out! In other words whether or not the slit on the side of the jacket is open!

figma True Criminal!

From the anime series ‘Detective Conan’ comes an improved version of the previously released ‘figma Criminal’ – the true criminal is here with figma True Criminal!

Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different crimes.
He comes with an all new expressionless face plate for even more ominous poses than before.
All the weapons included with the previous version are included together with an all new set of items including a crowbar.
An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

But the case wasn’t over yet… the true criminal had only just arrived!

The first criminal is never the true criminal! This upgraded version of the figma Criminal comes with a huge variety of new optional parts compared to the previously released version that was included with figFIX Conan Edogawa!

This True Criminal comes with a shouting expression and grinning expression similar to the previous version, but in addition he also comes with the expressionless face you can see above – perfect for those ominous scenes where the criminal stands behind an unknowing victim…

If you manage to get him balanced you can also make poses like this! Of course you can always make use of the figma stand for more stable poses! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

There were quite a lot of cases that have involved swords! There was that one where a dying message was carved into a dresser, or the case where Heiji’s mother showed just how amazing she could be… even the Crossroad in the Ancient Capital movie! There have been lots of swords in the series!

◆ Chloroform Cloth ◆

Look for an opening and knock out from behind! It doesn’t matter if you opponent is stronger if you have the element of surprise! As a side note, the Criminal’s target this time around is none other than the figma archetype next:he flesh color ver.! (/ω＼)

◆ Selfie Stick & Smartphone ◆

It might not seem like a weapon, but you never know!! Even if it’s not a weapon you can now pose him in all sorts of selfie scenes as well!!

Nendoroid Mink (DRAMAtical Murder)

Hello everyone!! Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

The other day I tried cinnamon milk for the first time! Warm milk with a cinnamon stick added to it together with some honey!! It’s so delicious and warm on a cold day and has that lovely cinnamon scent too!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Mink!

From the PC game ‘DRAMAtical Murder’ comes a Nendoroid of the condemned convict who went through unfathomable despair – Mink! He comes with two face plates including his standard expression as well as an expression with closed eyes that can be used to convey all sorts of different emotions.

Optional parts include his beloved smoking pipe as well as the survival knife that fulfilled his wish. His parrot-type ‘ALL-MATE’ Tori is also included to display beside him. The details of his dreadlocks, handcuffs and other unique accessories have been sculpted with careful attention to detail. In addition, an injured expression for use on Nendoroid Aoba is also included, allowing you to recreate the scene where Mink imposes sanctions on Aoba.

“Do you understand the situation you’ve been put in?”

From the PC game ‘DRAMAtical Murder’ comes a Nendoroid of the convict that has a burning desire for revenge – Mink! His characteristic deadlock hair, the bandanna he wears low down over his eyes, the amazing black and red gradient on his coat, the aggressive look on his face… everything about Mink has been captured so effectively on the Nendoroid! ヽ(´∀`｡)ﾉ

Also note some of the smaller details such as the feather hair accessory, or the damaged parts of his outfit on the sleeves of the coat as well as on his knee!

Even for a Nendoroid this much attention to detail is quite uncommon!! Also note how the metal areas are painted with a metallic paint and the pearls on his bracelet also make use of a pearl paint for that shiny appearance! The different paint really helps to bring out the different textures on the figure!! ♪

The back part of his deadlocks has also been faithfully sculpted!

The hair pulled to the back is also fitted with a Nendoroid joint allowing it to be moved around to better suit various different poses! Plus also note that the tips of the hair get gradually lighter! (・∀・)

As I’m sure you have noticed, Mink is also not alone!
He comes complete with his parrot-type ALL-MATE, Tori!!

Just like his Master Mink isn’t a very talkative parrot, but his soft feathery appearance has been captured beautifully!! The neck is also fitted with a ball joint allowing for slightly different poses! ♡

But anyway, let’s get back to Mink now! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Mink comes with an expression with closed-eyes as an alternate face plate!

The furled eyebrows make him look like he is in deep thought about something… yet in contrast his eyelids look like they have been closed rather gently! The expression can be used for all sorts of different emotions!

Plus if we take a closer look at the survival knife in his hand…

Blood!!!! (/ω＼)

It doesn’t look fresh, but rather like it has been on the blade for a little while… those who have played the game will know exactly what this blood stain means!!

In addition to the knife, he also comes with his smoking pipe!

At first glance Mink appears to have a very intimidating, powerful appearance… but on the other hand he also could be seen as off in his thoughts, or even praying for someone for with a very dignified appearance! As I mentioned before, the expression with closed eyes really captures all sorts of different emotions that can be used to recreate all sorts of situations! (･∀･)/

Mink also comes with a special part for Nendoroid Aoba!

A special injured face plate designed for Nendoroid Aoba to recreate the scene where Mink strangles Aoba is also included with Nendoroid Mink!

You’ll need to display him with the previously released Nendoroid Aoba & Ren to fully recreate the scene! As a side note, the actual scene has Mink using both hands, but the Nendoroid sized version instead has a one-handed version due to limitations with the Nendoroid design! (/ω＼)

Be sure to add the adorable head of Scratch to your collection!

Nendoroid Yudachi Kai-II (Kantai Collection -KanColle-)

Today’s Main Feature!!

Today I’m going to be taking a closer look at…
Nendoroid Yudachi Kai-II!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the fourth Shiratsuyu class destroyer in her upgraded form – Yudachi Kai-II! She comes with three face plates including her standard expression, a confident smile to bring flashbacks of the battle of Solomon as well as a blushing smile that captures Yudachi’s innocent side.

She comes with a torpedo to hold in her hand as well as more torpedoes all with shark faces painted on – these can be displayed by her side or instead firing outward to recreate scenes from the game! Effect parts to display the torpedoes launching, shooting effect parts and the fiery effects seen on illustrations of Yudachi Kai-II are all included allowing for all sorts of different combat scenes – recreate the ‘Nightmare of Solomon’ right in your Nendoroid collection!

Just like the previously released Nendoroid Shigure Kai-II she also comes with a swimsuit body part to recreate her ‘Summer’ seasonal outfit! Yakisoba and shaved ice are also included for her to hold to recreate the illustration! Be sure to have an amazing party together with Nendoroid Yudachi Kai-II!

The fourth Shiratsuyu class destroyer Yudachi is joining the Nendoroid series!! The Nendoroid is based on her Kai-II upgrade which gives her those belligerent red eyes, the cute animal ear-like tufts of hair and the lovely white scarf wrapped around her neck! (*´ｪ`*)

In addition to the Kai-II details her standard sailor-style outfit, white sails and even the rotor on the back have all been sculpted so adorably!

An adorable smiling face that just makes you think of her cute ‘poi!’ way of talking, as well as…

“I’ll show you the ‘Nightmare of Solomon’!!“

In addition, the photo above also makes use of the included fiery effect parts as well as the hand-held torpedoes that also feature flame effects!

Nendoroid Co-de Mikazuki Munechika: Uchiban Co-de

Greetings everyone! Chan-shuu from Good Smile Company’s planning team here! (@gscs_hirase)

A new cat cafe has opened up right close to the GSC Offices and they have large glass window at the front. Every time I walk past I get to look at all the kitties and feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at another of the ORANGE ROUGE items that is currently up for preorder!

From the popular browser and smartphone game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a Nendoroid Co-de of the most beautiful of the Five Great Swords – Mikazuki Munechika in his ‘Uchiban’ outfit for helping out around the citadel!

The dark blue outfit comes with a yellow bandana which contrasts beautifully to show off the great sword’s beauty even in work clothes! Be sure to add him to your collection!

“Hmm, work in the fields? How exactly does one use this tool?”

Nendoroid Mikazuki Munechika was in fact the first ever Nendoroid in the Touken Ranbu series, and now he is back again wearing his Uchiban outfit as a member of the Nendoroid Co-de series!!

The dark blue outfit and lovely contrasting yellow bandana make for a rather different, more composed appearance compared to his standard Nendoroid! His expression looks straight ahead with a gentle smile!

Also note the few tufts of hair that overlap onto the banner, as well as the slight nuances on the fingers of his left hand!

▼But what exactly is a Nendoroid Co-de?

▲ To put it as simple as possible, they are Nendoroids that are in a fixed pose! They can simply be removed from the packaging and displayed as is! However the head parts are exactly the same as standard Nendoroids allowing them to be moved around like above!

▲ The fact that they are the same faces and standard Nendoroids also means that you can exchange the face plates with standard Nendoroids as well! Here we have the combat expression of Nendoroid Mikazuki Munechika placed on the Nendoroid Co-de version for a bit of a change! ♪

Nendoroid Betsu Ten Gai (Thunderbolt Fantasy Sword Seekers)

MWUHAHAHAHAHA!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at….
Nendoroid Betsu Ten Gai!

From the fantasy glove puppetry series with a sequel in the works ‘Thunderbolt Fantasy Sword Seekers’ comes a Nendoroid of Betsu Ten Gai, the unrivalled swordsman and head of the Genkishu with the ability to control the spirits of the dead! He comes with three face plates including his standard expression with a cunning smile, a chibi expression based the character drawn by Yuupon as well as an expression based on the actual glove puppet used in the series!

He comes with a small version of the mask he wore when he first appeared in the series as well as a Nendoroid-sized sword! Last but not least, one of the mysterious Miyoku creatures he used for movement and more is also included! Be sure to display him with the previously announced Nendoroid Lin Setsu A and recreate the Thunderbolt Fantasy Sword Seekers atmosphere in your collection!

“In this world the sword is proof of power.
That is a truth that cannot be refuted.”

The character known as the ‘Bones of Creation’ who is the head Genkishu and is out to steal the powerful sword from the Tan family – Betsu Ten Gai is joining the Nendoroid series!

Ever since he first appeared in the series I’ve always been amazed at his fantastic outfit… and it has been so beautifully converted into Nendoroid size!! Together with that haughty smile and the mask he holds in his hand it really looks like one of the scenes from the series has been completely transformed from puppet into Nendoroid! I can just imagine his lines playing through my head! ★

“I shall take it while you live, or pull it from your dead body. It makes no difference to me.“

Both his hair and his outfit have a mostly black base, but the various decorations and colors that make up the design have all been faithfully included on his Nendoroid design making for a very extravagant looking Nendoroid! (*´ｪ`*)

▲ The little skull accessories have been been sculpted on!

From the back you can see the back of his collar is gold!

I really wanted to keep the the unique feeling of his cape as well as keep him easy to play with even with those who aren’t familiar with Nendoroids, and thus he can stand up without the need of a Nendoroid stand! You can easily balance him on his cape! It was all thanks to the long outfit that this was possible, but I think it worked out really well! (灬ºωº灬)

His sword ‘Tokusei‘ is also of course included in cute Nendoroid size!

On the final product the hanging accessory will be completely attached!

I don’t know if that made any sense… how do I explain this… the end part that is currently more of a ‘C’ will become an ‘O’!

Anyway, moving on to his other expressions, first off we have a special face plate based on the chibi expression based the character drawn by Yuupon – similar to the one included with Nendoroid Lin Setsu A! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Plus a new part that was announced today – a Miyoku!!

In the series these bird-like creatures were used for transport, but in Nendoroid form they work best as a cute little partner! The unique skeletal appearance of the design has been faithfully preserved! Not to mention those glowing red eyes!! ★

The sword can also be removed from its scabbard like so!

Onto his third expression…

Thick eyebrows, clear eyes and puffed-up lips… a special face plate based on the expression on the original doll!!

You can also pose him pointing forward like below, recreating the banquet scene in the Seven Sins Tower with Lin Setsu A!

Nendoroid Wilhelmina (HIGH SCHOOL FLEET)

It’s suddenly become rather cold once again! It’s days like this that I want to sit at home with some nice warm soup and a blanket!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Wilhelmina!

From the popular anime series ‘HIGH SCHOOL FLEET’ comes a Nendoroid of Wilhelmshaven High School’s Wilhelmina Braunschweig Ingenohl Friedeburg – also simply known as Wilhelmina! She comes with three face plates including a standard expression, a shouting expression as well as the frowning expression she made when given natto in the series.

Optional parts include a binocular telescope with its stand which can be displayed together with the parts included with Nendoroid Akeno Misaki to bring out the atmosphere of a ship’s bridge even more! She also includes both the eintopf and natto dishes allowing you to recreate all sorts of different scenes from the series!

“Who is the captain of this ship?! I see nothing but amateurs!”

The deputy captain of one the Admiral Graf Spee Deutschland-class battlecruiser – Wilhelmina Braunschweig Ingenohl Friedeburg joining the Nendoroids! Her long blond hair and beautiful blue eyes that make her look so western and yet she speaks with a Hiroshima dialect! I love that strange contrast!! ♥

Her uniform and skirt have a bit of a militaristic feel to them but they still also have cute frills and details that keep it looking so cute! Especially in Nendoroid size! ♪

Also take a closer look at her hair and you’ll notice there is a very gentle pink gradient that adds a soft appearance to her hair! You can just picture the see breeze blowing through her silky hair!!

The expression I’ve been using up until here is this lovely smiling face plate and she comes with a special part that really suits her smile – the warm German stew, eintopf! ☆

▲ You can see the little details of the stew and she even comes with a fork to hold!

If I had some eintopf and some worst sausage I would be able to spend some days on the sea happily with Miina!! It looks so nice and warm and perfect for a cold day… I wish I could have some now! (*´﹃｀*)

However… while she loves her German foods she doesn’t really like her Japanese meals… and she comes with a certain Japanese meal as well to recreate this popular scene – facial expression and all!! ★

A frowning expression and some natto beans!

The sticky, stringy appearance of the natto have been faithfully included on the beans she is holding with her chopsticks! Not to mention this expression… I can think of so many fun scenes that it could be used in!! (/ω＼)

She also comes with a more serious, confident expression perfect combat scenes with this shouting face plate!!

The little braided piece of hair on the side is fitted with a ball joint allowing it to move back and forward to create more dynamic scenes like this one!! ♪

▲ Recreate various different situations with the Nendoroid!

In addition to the face plates and food, she also comes with more accessories that allow you to bring out the HIGH SCHOOL FLEET atmosphere! For example, this binocular telescope with its stand! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Simply displaying it by her side instantly creates a scene from the series!!

Nendoroid and figma Snow Miku 2017

Hello everyone!! Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Today we’re going to be taking a look at the 2017…
Snow Miku Figures!! ♡

The theme for the 2017 Snow Miku was ‘Stars and Constellations of Hokkaido’s Winter’! We received a huge selection of entries for the design, but the winner this time around was this lovely illustration by Nishina!

In addition, we also got this adorable design for Rabbit Yukine illustrated by LF to display together with Snow Miku!

In the past, all the votes for these outfits were done on a livestream on NicoNico Douga, but this time around we made a special site to vote allowing fans all around the world to get their votes in! ♡

A big thank you to everyone who voted!!

Let’s take a look at how the figures have turned out this time around… starting with the Nendoroid!! ♪ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ三ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Twinkle Snow Ver.!

This Winter, Snow Miku will descend from the starry night sky!

This year’s Snow Miku has been sculpted by GSC’s Takuya Ichihashi! She has such a romantic and yet still so cute appearance to her!! The soft, airy design of her outfit with long sleeves and lovely frills, her sparkling twin-tails and those ribbons in her hair with a music score written along them… the details are amazing!!

She also comes with a magical baton to display her conducting a Winter symphony! ♪

There are also a lot of parts that bring out the ‘starry sky’ theme nicely!

Moving on, we also have…

figma Snow Miku: Twinkle Snow ver.!

Snow Miku’s twinkling symphony sounds through the starry skies!

This innocent Snow Miku with a brilliant smile on her face brings out that fairy-tail atmosphere so well!! The music stand and sheet music included with her are so amazingly detailed, and the winking expression on Rabbit Yukine’s face is also a lovely touch! ♪

Plus, she also comes with this!!

A special crescent-moon shaped base!! ☆

Other accessories and expressions will also be included, so stay tuned!!

Date A Live Nendoroid & Nendoroid More: Dress-Up Rereleases

There are only 44 days left of 2017!! We’re getting to the time of year where Christmas lights are seen everywhere!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a selection of items that have recently been announced for rerelease! (∩・∀・)∩

Let’s first take a look at the Nendoroids! ♪

Left: Nendoroid Kurumi Tokisaki
Right: Nendoroid Tohka Yatogami

Both of these Nendoroids from Date A Live are dressed up in their lovely Astral Dresses which make use of semi-transparent parts to recreate that see-through, light feeling of the material in the series!!

The details on the sculpting of their various accessories is also fantastic!

Along with their standard expressions above, they also comes with special expressions designed for combat scenes! Tohka comes with a shouting expression while Kurumi comes with a maddened expression!!

In addition, Tohka comes with a blushing embarrassed expression and Kurumi comes with a condescending expression! ♥

I figured these expressions would look even better with different outfits, so here we are going to move onto our next product currently up for rerelease…

The Bikini Type (tropical pink)!

This time around I decided to use Nendoroid Shigure Kai Ni as I thought she would look great in a bikini!! She will be in stores from the 28th November!! ♡

Along with this bikini there are also two different school swimsuits in classic navy and pure white as well as sexy bikinis in ocean blue and sexy black! There is also one secret to collect for a total of six different types! Depending on the type a beach ball or beach mat and tropical flower are also included!!

The secret in the swimsuit series is more of a towel!!

So many different options to transform your Nendoroids!! It’s so fun finding nice matches with the Dress Up series and certain characters!
