Nendoroid Armin Arlert

Hello again everyone! My name is Chan-shuu from GSC’s planning team , and I will once again be taking over the blog for Kahotan as she is currently away overseas for an event! I imagine she should have landed by now!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Armin Arlert!

From the anime series ‘Attack on Titan’ comes the sixth Nendoroid from the series, Armin Arlert! He comes with three expressions including his standard face, a shouting face as well as a blushing face, capturing various different sides of his personality.

As with the other Nendoroids in the series he also comes with his Vertical Maneuvering Equipment, dual blades and effect parts to display him soaring through the air, which allow for amazing combat scenes. He also comes with an alternate head part with a bandage wrapped around his head and kneeling parts, allowing you to enjoy all sorts of different poses.

Finally Armin is here to join the previously released characters and Titan! Armin is a character popular with both boys and girls alike… but what kind of charm will the Nendoroid bring us? Let’s take a look! (;ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

A look from the side while wielding his dual blades!

Just like Eren Yeagar and Mikasa Ackerman Armin comes with the Titan exterminating weapon of choice – the dual blades and Vertical Maneuvering Equipment! They are just as amazingly detailed as before!

A shouting face and ‘I pledge my heart’ pose!

Armin is very well known for this pose from episode 10 where he persuades the commanding officer of his resolve! The expression even keeps the large drops of sweat dripping down his face, capturing his determination and tension all at once!

Jumping about with the Vertical Maneuvering Equipment!

Definitely some parts that owners of the previous Nendoroid will be familiar with, but they are still just as amazing as ever! Armin may be more about brains that he is brawn, but he still looks gallant in combat scenes like this! His ‘standard’ expression has a fairly serious look to it, which suits combat scenes rather well!

He must be headed straight toward a Titan!!

“Uwaaaaaaa!!!! Σ（゜Д゜　；）”

Displaying him together with the previously released Nendoroid Colossus Titan & Attack Playset allows for some interesting panic scenes as well!

Armin is in trouble now!!

Obviously the scale isn’t quite right seen the Nendoroids are the same size, but this is just one of the reasons Nendoroids are so much fun!

Will Armin manage to get out of this one alive?! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Armin has managed to get out alive, but with a little injury – he comes with…
a blushing face, bandaged head part and kneeling parts!

T-This Armin!! He is just too adorable!! (;ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

This is a scene from the 18th episode of the series! Armin resting after he was wounded in battle. He puts on a smile to avoid worrying his friends!

The same pose from the back!

The alternate head part is not just the front, but the back hair parts as well – fully recreating the bandaged up look! It also means he effectively comes with two complete heads!!

Shouting Face + Kneeling Parts!

The formal kneeling pose seems like the complete opposite of the screaming expression, making for some bizarre contrast! This was however the personal favorite combination of the figure’s planner, Kyojin!

“I pledge my heart”, together with Eren and Mikasa!

This is the pose I want to see the three childhood friends in!! （゜∀゜＊）!

Nendoroid Saori Takebe

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

This morning I spotted a cute girl wearing a yukata handing out fans near the Skytree! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a fan from her as I was in a bit of a rush… I really regret that now! _:(´ཀ`」 ∠):_

Anyway, today I’ll be looking at a figure that went up for preorder yesterday…

Nendoroid Saori Takebe!♡

From the anime series ‘Girls und Panzer’ comes a Nendoroid of the Ankou Team’s radio operator, Saori Takebe! She has been sculpted wearing her panzer jacket and comes with three different expressions including a smiling face, a slightly upset embarrassed face as well as a serious face ideal for combat poses.

Optional parts include an alternate head part which allows you to pose her wearing a headset, a cellphone, a radio operator’s chair as well as communication equipment! Be sure to display her with Nendoroid Miho Nishizumi and Nendoroid Yukari Akiyama, and get ready to “Panzer, vor!”.

Oooooohhhhh!!! （*´▽｀*）

The radio operator who loves to love is joining the Nendoroids! ♡
She’s the third Nendoroid from Girls und Panzer, following on from Mihorin and Akiyama-dono! As always, the ‘Ankou Team’ mark on the back of her jacket is nicely visible!

Her soft looking long hair also looks great in Nendoroid size! ♪

The optional parts also looks great in Nendoroid size… (｀・ω・´)

The cellphone from the Saunders University High School match is included!

But the parts I enjoy the most have to be these! (*´Д`)

Red-framed Glasses! ♡

Normally contacts, but glasses at night!
But fans can enjoy either whenever they like!

The glasses slip in between the hair parts and hold in securely, meaning you can use then with any expression parts you like! ♪

I think it looks best with this expression!

Embarrassed Face + Glasses!! ＜●＞＜●＞

I decided to display her with wooser as well – for those who don’t know, wooser collaborated with Girls und Panzer in one episode of the second season! She comes with both left and right bent arms allowing for a load of interesting poses! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Whilst the smile and embarrassed expression suit the cuter side of Saori beautifully, she also comes with a more serious expression! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

A head set hair part is also included, really completing the serious look of her at work!

The gap between the serious and cuter versions is so lovely!! (o・ω・o)

As you may have noticed, she also comes with a radio operator’s chair and sitting parts… but thats not all!

She also comes with her communications equipment!!

All these come together to allow you to display her as if sitting inside the tank, ready for action! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

This really makes me want to display her with Mihorin and Akiyama-dono!! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

The headset hair parts are also planned to be compatible with the glasses! ♪

The glasses also look amazing with the serious face…! ♡

Absolutely delicious!!!

Kahotan Post Office Opening Today!

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

As June comes to an end I’m slowly coming to realise that we are already half way through 2014… I can hardly believe it! The special edition of anan’s fortune-telling magazine has even already been released for the second half of the year… which I have of course already grabbed for myself! (｀・ω・´)

Anyway… today marks my 200th blog update!!

Nendoroid Levi: Cleaning Ver.

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Next week I’m going to be leaving Japan for my first ever business trip in France! Today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure that will be joining me on the trip!

Nendoroid Levi: Cleaning Ver.

From the popular anime series ‘Attack on Titan’ comes a special ‘Cleaning’ version of Nendoroid Levi! He comes with all sorts of optional parts to help him keep things clean, including a duster, bamboo broom and mask. You can choose to display him with the mask up covering his face, or instead hanging around his neck. Folded arm parts and a shouting expression are also included.

The inner cardboard of the box is specially printed to allow you to recreate the famous scene from the anime where he opens the window. Be sure to combine parts with the previous released Nendoroid Levi to recreate even more of your favorite scenes!

Cleaning Heichou!! （*´▽｀*）

This product will be available at the four events listed above with GSC Online orders available at some point in the future as well!

Let’s first take a look at the blister pack!

He comes with a duster, bamboo broom and various other parts essential to ensure he can clean up any mess! He also has bent left and right arms and folded arms for various other poses too!

Fairly simple parts, but they have so many possible uses!! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Although it may not look like it, his hair parts disconnect as usual just like this!

The way the cloth covers up his hair looks so cute from the back! ♡

“I’ll go inspect the room you cleaned. Clean up here too.”

He also comes with a mask to cover his face!
It can easily be attached and removed as you can see below!

You simply slide his neck joint through the hole here! (｡・д・｡)

“Clean from the top down! Don’t you know the basics?!”

The pink duster suits him strangely well! ♥

The expression here is actually the ‘Combat’ face from the original Nendoroid Levi! Swapping the parts between the two allows for more Levi poses than ever before! ( -ﾉｪ-)

As usual, I much prefer taking photos of Heichou from above! (*´Д｀)=з

He looks so small and cute!!

Using the ‘Shouting Face’ together with the mask and duster makes it look like he really doing the best cleaning possible! He looks so serious!

Another part which I really enjoyed is the bamboo broom!
I enjoyed it so much I ended up making an animated gif!

For those of you who can’t figure out my brilliant animation! Heichou is first using the broom as an air guitar… but then someone happens to see him! First he gets a little embarrassed, but he quickly catches himself and instead just gets angry!

Phew… That was so much fun…! ( ✧Д✧)

Note that this animation uses parts from both the standard and Cleaning Ver. of Nendoroid Levi!

The inner sheet of cardboard in the box also has a little extra feature!

It becomes a background to display Heichou with, recreating the room from the series!! You simply need to pull out the cardboard sheet once you’ve taken the blister pack out! (｀・ω・´)

You can also grab a craft knife and cut open the windows…

… …

The cardboard is printed on both sides, fully recreating the building!! Plus special parts that allow the background to attack to the figure stand are included meaning poses like this are easy to achieve!

So much fun to be had recreating all sorts of fun scenes!

Red Dragon: 3D Printed Miniatures

Of all the make-believe games, I’ve always enjoyed make-believe banking best! Making up my very own notes and coins and playing around with them was so much fun! Although now that I think about it, I guess it was more like make-believe mint…

Anyway! Today I’m going to be taking a look at something Good Smile has some fun helping out with!

Red Dragon!

What is Red Dragon?

Red Dragon is a non-TYPE-MOON Role-Playing-Fiction project involving Kinoko Nasu, Gen Urobuchi, Ryohgo Narita, Izuki Kougyoku, the author of the light novel Mimizuku to Yoru no Ou, and Simadoriru, who works with the Stripe Pattern doujin circle. Hosted by the publisher Seikaisha, it will be a six day tabletop RPG session played by the various writers with Makoto Sanda as the Fiction Master. Much like the Record of Lodoss War series, its replays will be serialized on their official website during January 2012. The members of the staff have prepared one thousand pages and two hundred illustrations for the scenario over the period of a year, so that the authors may enjoy their session.

Hitoshi Sakimoto has composed original music for the project, and Simadoriru was in charge of the art direction. Veia was in charge of Title Design. Kiyomune Miwa, the designer of Saint George for Fate/Apocrypha and Ukyō Kodachi, the writer of Macross Frontier light novels, are the Fiction System Designers who helped shape the fictional world with Sanda. Katsushi Ōta is the overall producer of the project.

In other words… it’s a collection of famous people all playing a super table-top roleplaying game, with the story they create becoming a novel for everyone to enjoy! Another great form of make-believe!

These are incredible! It must have been so much easier to imagine the epic battle thanks to these! But that aside… I have to say that I’m really impressed by the detail of full color 3D printing! It’s so detailed! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

(・∀・) “Yep! The feeling of the material is rather different to normal, but the sculpting detail and different colors are all of a very high quality!”

Even the finer details of the outfits are very carefully printed out!

They even come out fully painted as well! 3D printers really are quite amazing!!

(・∀・) “Obviously as pieces in the game they are rather small and some of the finest details needed to be left out, but all in all they are very faithful to the original designs!”

All this done just with 3D data!

(・∀・) “Yep! It’s actually quite a lot of fun to sit and compare the models to the original character illustrations!”

They very first of the ‘Bath Time Collection’ series to be released! Cute figures that can be displayed as normal or instead floating around in the bath tub with you!

I decided to display the respective Nendoroids beside them for comparison!

First up we have Akagi-san! ♪

Size-wise they are slightly smaller than a Nendoroid! Many of you will recognise the adorable designs as work by CHANxCO… they really are so very adorable!

The series captures CHANxCO’s unique style beautifully, down to the way she is munching on her rice! (*´Д`)

This is how she looks from the bottom, which includes a little wind-up gimmick!

My winding her up the little wheels on the left and right will spin and push her along in the water! It’s also exchangeable with the wind-up parts on the Bath Time Collection Ryuujou and Kitakami which will be releasing soon! ( -ﾉｪ-)

Next up we have Zegamashi-chan! ♪

Note that the Rensouhou-chan on the tube is from the Nendoroid and is not included… it matches the size quite nicely though!

The bucket is rather large which makes Shimakaze seem taller than her Nendoroid counterpart… but without the bucket she is a shorter just like Akagi!

Zegamashi-chan also has a little gimmick! Her feet move back and forth in cute little steps – this can be used in water or on any surface! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

It’s hard to explain in pictures… but I’ll show everyone live this Friday on Kahotan Station, so be sure to tune in!

Personally I’m looking forward to displaying figma Shimakaze in the bucket! She releases on the 28th June!! (ΦωΦ)

WonHobby 20 Products Revealed!

The WonHobby 20 website is now open!!

I sense WonFes is getting closer…! Today I’m going to be taking a look at the WonFes items that were revealed on the website today! (σ・∀・)σ

But before that… this is WonHobby 20!! I can hardly believe there have been so many WonHobby exhibits!! For those who don’t know, WonHobby stands for ‘WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!!’ and refers to the joint booth between Max Factory and Good Smile Company at the Wonder Festival event!

We’re working on some special extras in the booth to make the 20th anniversary booth a lot of fun for everyone! ( -ﾉｪ-)

Let’s take a look at what figures will be available!

The aircraft carrier from the depths of the sea.

Nendoroid Aircraft Carrier Wo-Class

The Aircraft Carrier Wo-Class from KanColle is finally joining the Nendoroid series, carefully preserving the unique design and form of the mysterious vessel in Nendoroid size! The Nendoroid also features special light-up effects, allowing you to switch the color of the eyes on her head piece between three different colors!

She also comes with her staff as well as three small planes to fly about around her. She also comes with a more comical glaring expression for a less serious pose! Be sure to display her together with the other KanColle Nendoroids and recreate the fierce battles of the KanColle seas!

They each come with two expressions, and Sayaka comes with her school bag while Kyoko comes with an apple and snacks to munch on, allowing for a number of different scenes from the series!

Nendoroid Jeanne Kaguya d’Arc

When I was taking exams in school I selected Japanese history as one of my electives… I would have done world history, but I was terrible at remembering foreign names so I gave up… (´；ω；｀)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Jeanne Kaguya d’Arc

From the sci-fi war anime which bases character off famous historical figures, ‘Nobunaga the Fool’ comes a figure of the main heroine who has mysterious divine revelations, Jeanne Kaguya d’Arc!

She comes with three expressions including her standard smiling face, a confident expression for combat as well as an embarrassed expression. Optional parts include the accessory form of her sacred weapon of light. She also comes with a number of alternate arm and leg parts allowing for epic combat scenes and various other poses!

Oooooo （*´▽｀*） oooooh!

The beautiful blue-eyed blond girl from the village of Donremi on the Western Planet is up for preorder from today!

The mixture of heavy, protective armor and softer dress parts that make up her outfit give such nice contrast!

The shiny appearance of the armor definitely makes it look more metallic and heavy! It’s also painted very intricately! (｀・ω・´)

Her lovely braided hairstyle and blue ribbon look lovely!

Another thing Jeanne has always been rather well known for is her unignorable bust! Even in cute Nendoroid size they are a rather impressive sight! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Using bent legs on the left and right also allows for a kneeling pose like this!

In addition she also comes with hand parts that can be held together in front of her, making this pose a quick and easy task even for someone as clumsy as me!

Nendoroid Nana Kouzuki

When I have Oden my favorite ingredients are chikuwabu and hanpen! It’s also rather hard to not take some sticky rice cakes though… fish balls are also delicious! Ahhh! I suddenly feel like some oden!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Nana Kouzuki!

From the popular action game ‘GOD EATER 2’ comes a Nendoroid of the special forces ‘Blood’ member, Nana Kouzuki. Her ‘God Arc’ weapon is of course included in various forms, including the standard ‘Blade Form’ as well as ‘Gun Form’ and ‘Predator Form’. They have been shrunk down to cute Nendoroid size while still keeping their imposing appearance too!

She also comes with three different expressions, including her optimistic standard face, a smiling face and a shouting face for combat scenes! The various optional parts allow for all sorts of scenes from the game! Bring out the GOD EATER universe in Nendoroid size!

Those of you who joined me at the Ciel Alencon preorder events may have already seen her on display, but now she is ready to go up for preorder!

The carefree character with a bright personality and highly revealing outfit! Not to mention she’s annoyingly cute!! Not that that’s a bad thing…

Her cute cat-ear-like hair-style, cross-shaped hair accessories and hot pants have all been faithfully preserved in Nendoroid form!

Another item that just had to be included with Nana…

“Nana’s special Oden Bread! My mom taught me how to make it! It’s really tasty… have a bite!”

Apparently the ufotable Cafe actually sold oden bread at their GOD EATER 2 Cafe last year! As someone who loves oden I’d love to give it a try…!

Even the oden ingredients between the bread are rather detailed! ♡

Also note her delicious underboob!!

Her unique fashion sense and cute build look great in Nendoroid size! <●><●>

Just like the previous Nendoroid from the series, Nendoroid Alisa Ilyinichna Omela, Nana also comes with a large selection of impressive optional parts too! Let’s take a look! ♪

Starting off with… ‘Blade Form!’

The Boost Hammer has also been shrunk down adorably! I love it when mechanical looking items like this are shrunk down into chibi size! ヽ(=´▽`=)ﾉ

(・∀・) “The Boost Hammer also comes with special parts to attach!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Otanaka-shi!

(・∀・) “Special effect parts are included to display her attacking with it!”

Ooh! As if the hammer itself wasn’t impressive enough, you can also place it into a more suitable form for attacking! Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟﾉ)ﾉ

(・∀・) “We were very careful with the gradient while working on this piece!”

I remember thinking the same thing with Nendoroid Alisa Ilyinichna Omela, but the details on the God Arc weapons is really impressive!! They’re so very intricate! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

(・∀・) “Yep! As with other GOD EATER figures we wanted to keep the feel of the powerful weapons even in Nendoroid form! The contrast between the mechanical and organic bits is also very clear!”

Hmm… is this what I think it is?!

(・∀・) “It probably is!
The God Arc also comes in Gun Form!

Switching the boost hammer into ranged form for a completely different fighting style! This version also has a very sharp and metallic look to it… she really looks rather epic! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The expression I’ve been using for the past few photos is the combat expression, which makes her look very confident and gives off a whole different charm to her cute smiling face! ♡

(・∀・) “There is still one more weapon part…! The Predator Form!”

Ooooo ( ﾟдﾟ) oohhh!

The GOD EATER series never ceases to amaze me!

(・∀・) “This one is possibly even more noticeable than Alisa’s Predator Form weapon! It’s also made from semi-transparent parts to give it that organic appearance from the game!“

And…. what is the little small creature over on the bottom left…? Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ

(・∀・) “One of the mysterious piranha-like ‘Abaddon’ aragami! He even comes with his own stand to pose wherever you like!”

Aww! He’s rather cute! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

I always thought that for an enemy they were rather cute and made a good mascot character, but now that he’s been chibified he is even cuter! ♥

(・∀・) “The optional parts are once again a great part of the Nendoroid, but Nana’s own personal charm is also very faithfully kept in the design… it all really brings out the atmosphere of the GOD EATER world too! You can pose her in fighting scenes from the game, or even create your won story in the GOD EATER world!”

I laugh, I cry, and I try singing a song like the ending to TARI TARI!
Today I’m going to be take a look at Phat! company’s recently announced…

1/8th Scale:
Sawa Okita!

From the anime series ‘TARI TARI’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the strong-willed member of the archery club, ‘Sawa Okita’! The figure is based on the memorable scene from the opening theme, where she looks backwards and tips her hat.

The figure is filled with highlights, from her fluttering skirt and slender long legs to the delicate finger lightly pushing her hat upwards. A little plushie horse is also included to display beside her, reminding everyone of her dream to become a horse rider.

Oooooohhh!! （*´▽｀*）

The gentle Sawa with her motherly personality and occasional emotional outbursts is finally being transformed into a figure!

Everyone who has seen the anime will recognise this outfit from the opening theme, as well as certain scenes from the series! ♪

You can make out her wonderful proportions even through her outfit!

This outfit shows off her bust even more than the standard school uniform too!

The black halterneck and frilly white off-shoulder top gives her a nice mix of cute and mature!

The red ribbon between the white and black also gives off a great sense of style! Her little heart-shaped necklace and the fancy heart-shaped bag with a ribbon also match up with the outfit so nicely – Sawa really knows how to coordinate an outfit! ♡

The bag is sculpted in detail – down to the stitching and the zip! It’s amazing!

How could anyone not like this outfit!
I think anyone who says something bad about it is just jealous!!

I also love the way her tights are creased around the knees! (｀・ω・´)

Looking from this angle also really gives off the feeling of movement as if she really had just looked behind her with a flick of the hips!

Speaking of amazing… I also want to focus here!

“Back to the boobs already…? (；´∀｀)”

Is what you may be thinking! But not quite!
I want everyone to take a look at… her armpits!!

Thanks to the off-shoulder top, you can just get a peek at them!! Apparently off-shoulder tops are a Summer trend… I’m really hoping they catch on this year! I think they look lovely!!

The hat she is posed flicking up with her finger can also be removed for a slightly different appearance! ♡

Plus not to be forgotten… a little horse plushie on the base!

He also looks adorable sitting at Sawa’s feet!
You can place him wherever you like though! (o・ω・o)ノ

Obviously he is made from plastic so is actually rather hard… but he looks so very soft and the colors are so gentle… I wish he was a real plushie that I could hug to sleep at night!
