Nendoroid Maou

The air is filled with an ominous presence! (((；゜Д゜))

Christina looks rather angry for some reason!

Don’t worry Christina!! There is also demand for flat chests!! (´・ω・`)

Or maybe she’s transformed into a Demon Lord because she’s angry that there is still no info about Nendoroid Faris!! It’s been ages since she was first announced back at the Tokyo Tower live broadcast… but don’t worry, she’s still in development!! Just wait a little longer for her debut!

But anyway, today’s blog will focus on the prototype of a very well endowed Nendoroid with these lovely horns!

From Maoyuu Maou Yuusha:
Nendoroid Maou!

From the light novel that originated on 2channel and was then transformed into an anime series, ‘Maoyuu Maou Yuusha’ comes a Nendoroid of the main character, Maou.

She comes with optional parts that allow you to display her lifting her skirt to recreate the scene where she first greets the Hero. You can even recreate some more embarrassing poses using the included dakimakura! You’ll know exactly how the hero felt with this Nendoroid by your side!

She is wearing the outfit from episode one, when she met the Hero! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

It’s a beautiful crimson dress which looks fantastic! I also think this might be the biggest bust we’ve ever seen on a Nendoroid! (((゜Д゜)))

The fact that they’re so big actually means they covers up the separation line on her body really nicely!

This is how she looks from the back!

Because of the dress, she can stand easily without the base! She’s actually very stable!

Plus even though you can’t generally see them, there are complete leg parts underneath the dress – the shoes are even painted with great detail!

“Then I’ll dodge and say hello again!”

I know there are many that have fallen for the charms of Maou! I myself just let out a really strange voice in front of my monitor when I saw her again! 😛

This pose makes use of the two bent arm parts as well as a alternate front dress, which allows you to display her in the cute pose she took when she first greeted the Hero.

The alternate dress part is made a little shorter than the standard dress part, which means she automatically bends over when you use it! Kyojin was in charge of this product, and he had some really fantastic ideas along the way!

“Hero! Will you become mine?”

This is from the scene where she flirts with the Hero! No one could resist her after that lovely speech! 😛

This pose makes use of two opened out and inviting arms! I also have to mention her impressive bosom once again…. it’s even more impressive when you take a photo from a higher angle like this! (*゜∀゜)=3

“I don’t normally use them…”

Those who have seen the series will know her horns aren’t so real – it’s just an Alice band with horns to give her that ‘Demon King’ look – and just as in the series, she can take the Alice band off and be displayed without horns! Plus if you look in the background you can see that her cape can also be removed!

The first of her alternate expressions is an upward glace! (･ω･)ﾉ

You may have noticed that I already actually used this expression back with the lifted dress photo… it’s a really powerful expression!! I’ve never quite understood why upward looks from girls are so cute, but there is no denying it! Seeing her like this makes it clear to me why the Hero always got so excited and nervous around her!

A kissing expression and dakimakura!

A scene from her very own mind can now be seen by everyone in Nendoroid form! That expression is so adorable!! 😛

In the photo you can only see the back of the dakimakura, but the front of course also has a complete print of the front of the Hero! Now she can happily roll around on the floor with their Hero to her heart’s content!!

The background for today’s photos is none other than Phat! Company’s Western Life Playset! Note that the set isn’t included with Nendoroid Maou though!

Here I’ve posed her at just the right angle to have her peeking up over the table! Isn’t it cute?!

Kuroyukihime: Black Butterfly Ver.

April is coming to an end… we’re fully into Spring now!

A big butterfly is covering up Yuri-chan’s face!! (((ﾟДﾟ)))

I always thought this breed of butterfly only came out in Summer… not to mention I can’t help but think it’s a little too big to be real! 😛

Today I’ll be looking at an adorable prototype that came swooping down into the GSC offices today!

From Accel World:
1/8th Scale Kuroyukihime: Black Butterfly Ver.!

From the anime ‘Accel World’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the elegant and cunning young lady, Kuroyukihime! She has been sculpted in her butterfly avatar form, wearing a black dress which contrasts beautifully with her pale skin.

Her long dress spreads out magnificently to the floor, and the lacing on the edges is features a transparent purple parts – everything has been sculpted to the finest of details. Her outfit together with her huge wings create a beautiful, mystical figure of Kuroyukihime for fans to enjoy.

She has so much volume for a 1/8th scale figure!

Figures in a sitting position tend to look a little too small or cramped, but I don’t get that feeling from this figure at all! Plus the contrast between her pale skin and the black of her dress is absolutely beautiful!

You can really feel Kuroyukihime’s aura coming off from this figure! It suits her so well!

This is how she looks from the back!

It’s quite hard to tell from the photos, but the butterfly wings actually makes use of a slight transparent gradient! If you look at the bottom right here you’ll see that you can just see through the wing a little bit.

The details are so tiny it’s hard to even capture them in photos… but seeing it in person is even more amazing!

This is a too much for me, senpai!! ヽ(`Д´)ノ

That ever so slight bump is really something, isn’t it!! (;゜∀゜)=3

I’m sure most of you will know I’m generally someone who prefers a bit of meat on the body, but the line from her collar bone to her shoulders is so lady-like… I couldn’t say no to this! When I see such a gentle looking body, I can’t help but get the feeling I need to protect it!

Such a cute, innocent expression!!

She has her head tilted slightly to the side which makes it look even cuter! But beyond the cuteness you can also see Kuroyukihime’s strong resolve, just by looking into her eyes!

Look at the drape of her dress!

All the creases along the dress give it such a dynamic feeling, and the paintwork makes the fabric look heavy and realistic! Just like with yesterday’s Sheryl, Kuroyukihime looks so very real – the dress seems to be acting just as a real dress would… figures are such a work of art!

The lacing on the edges also makes use of a lovely transparent purple – the lacing over her thighs makes them look even more sexy!

Aki, the head of GSC, helped make sure the legs were perfect!

While the sculpting was still being worked on the legs had a slightly plumper look, but Aki requested it be changed because a middle school’s legs should be thinner and more lady-like! 😛

Thanks to the change her legs have indeed come out looking very lady-like which makes for this lovely photo! The uneven knees and the shadow you can see on the reverse side of her thighs are also great!!

If you look from the side… you get a little present!

Ah, she is wearing something underneath, in case you’re wondering! 😛

The huge butterfly wings make this section quite hard to see normally, but from the side you can get a nice little view of her back. That silver butterfly is in such a sexy position! Σ(゜Д゜;）

Even the hard-to-see parts are detailed!

Kuroyukihime is actually sitting on this lovely antique chair!Once she’s sitting on it it’s very hard to see, but even so the detail is amazing!

You can also display her without the wings!

Unfortunately it does leave a little hole in her back where the wings connect to, but from the front she looks just fine!

There is another thing I want to mention, but I can’t go into too much detail without getting into trouble… the skirt section of her dress isn’t held in place with tabs or anything else. Plus the separation lines on the body are also carefully done as to not stand out… I think you can see where I’m going with this? (゜ε゜)

This is how she looks on my desk… she has such an incredible presence!! Even from far away you can tell how amazing the sculptwork is!! (((ﾟДﾟ)))

Yesterday I spun her around completely taking photos from a variety of angles, but today I’ll be focusing on more specific areas on the figure!

1/7th Scale Sheryl Nome!

From the anime film ‘Macross Frontier The Movie: The False Songstress’ comes a 1/7th scale figure of one of the main heroines, Sheryl Nome! The pose and base are both based on the main visual illustration used for the movie when it first released in cinemas in 2009 – the unique design has been carefully sculpted into a truly dynamic and detailed figure for fans to enjoy.

The figure is filled with a number of highlights such as the huge gears that spin around her, the sorrowful expression across her face and the various parts of her alternating black and white outfit as they all twist together. The ‘Galactic Songstress’ is ready to capture the hearts of all who lay eyes on her!

I managed to get a comment about the figure from Sheryl’s voice actor, Aya Endo!

Everyone has to read the next few lines in Sheryl’s voice!

But just as Endo-san says, this Sheryl figure is filled with many different highlights! I’ll be taking a closer look at each of them today!

The beautiful hair sculptwork!

Sheryl’s beautiful long hair criss-crosses all around the gears and floats about in such a gentle way! The different twists and turns in her hair have all been carefully calculated and look great from any angle!

Seeing a figure like this really makes me once again appreciate how amazing sculptors are… but it’s not just the sculpt – the paintwork and delicate gradient are also fantastic!

This is how she looks from the back!

You really can’t stop your eyes from seeing that cute bottom first!! ｡･ﾟ･(ﾉД`)･ﾟ･｡

But if this photo wasn’t a part of this article it simply wouldn’t count as a full review! She it really is just so beautiful… even from a girl’s point of view that hipline is perfect!

Not to mention that the way it has been sculpted and painted gives it such a soft looking skin-like appearance! It’s almost hard to imagine it’s just a figure!

Her outfit is just as sexy from the front!

I think the fact that it’s the lovely Sheryl-san is also a large part, but the outfit itself is really stimulating! Just look at her bust, her stomach, her thighs… did I mention her stomach? I’m sure you’ve all had a good look even without having read all this though! (If I keep talking it might end up a bit too risqué. :P)

Even ignoring all the bare skin, there are a number of highlights to her outfit! The unique design and the shiny paintwork… the painted nails… and how about the golden part on her Garterbelt! Every little part of the figure has clearly had so much care put into it!

Her sorrowful expression!

I have to say… this is a really erotic expression!（ﾟ∀ﾟ 三 ﾟ∀ﾟ）

Maybe that’s not the best word… it’s sexy! Sensual! Voluptuous!! It’s such a powerful expression!

It’s hard to think such an exquisite face was painted with nothing but a brush! Just look inside that cute little mouth with shiny lipstick and you’ll even see her teeth! I remember saying the same thing about the ‘Love is War’ figure in the past, but the feeling of ‘depth’ of the mouth is absolutely amazing on this figure!

This is one of my best photos in the set!

This is taken from the reverse side, where you can a part of Sheryl through the gears! The reason I like it so much is that even though her whole body isn’t showing in the picture, you get such a dynamic feeling even with just the bottom half of her body! I think that’s the most amazing thing!!

Plus the S-shape of her body is magnificent! (`・ω・´)

This is how she looks from the top!

I think this is the best angle to get a good feeling for how amazing her hair looks! If you decide to pick her up for yourself, you’ll be able to enjoy her from absolutely any angle you choose whenever you like! Every time I move her around I seem to find a new interesting angle!

She is very detailed and takes up quite a lot of space, so I know many of you are thinking “She’s too big…” or “She’s too expensive…”, but I can assure you won’t be disappointed if you decide to pick this one up! I really don’t think this level of figure is released all that often – it’ll be worth it to clear up a little space, or save up a little for this kind of figure! Don’t miss out!!

But so is this Sheryl Nome figure!! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

This lovely 1/7th scale figure of Sheryl first debuted back in February during WonFes! It was one of the main figures to feature at the event so it has it’s own special little display box… and it was surrounded by fans from the start till the end of the event! (((゜Д゜)))

This is a product that looks fantastic from every angle… and it’s finally going up for preorder tomorrow! I’ll be spending both today and tomorrow taking a nice long look at this lovely figure, so I hope you all enjoy it!

This is a Max Factory product, it’s sculpted by Chieri-san and it is a truly amazing!! The size and quality are both of the utmost quality!! (`・ω・´)

Today I’ll spin the figure around completely while taking photos, to show her off from every angle! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

When figures are on display at events, it’s not always easy to see them from the angles you really want to… but with these and tomorrow’s photos I’ll try to get at any angle you might have wanted to see!

Let’s start with the right-side front!

From this angle you can enjoy Sheryl’s sexy body and sorrowful expression!! The huge gears surrounding her somehow seem to mesh with the figure no matter which angle you look at her from! (=゜ω゜)ノ

The sculpting of her hair is fantastic!! Σ(゜Д゜;）

On most figures, a completely horizontal view tends to not look as great as front or back angles… but just look at this! The use of space is outstanding!
Max Factory is once again showing just how incredible they are!

From this angle you can see all the cords wrapped around the gears nicely… they’re beautiful! The little pinky finger Sheryl has up in the air is also lovely!

You also can’t help but notice that lovely bust far in the distance! 😛

The contrast between the black and white of her outfit is beautiful! Plus it’s so lovely and big!

From this angle most of Sheryl herself is covered up, but you can see the incredible detail put into the sculpting of both the outfit and hair!! (`・ω・´)

Sheryl-san right in the middle of the two gears! It’s such a huge stand! (ノ゜∀゜)ノ

Together with all the cords, this makes for another really impressive angle!

Her light blue cape is fluttering about not only horizontally, but vertically as well! Not to mention you can see her lovely slim legs! I almost wish she could come here and step on me!! (*´∀｀*)

The perfect angle to see Sheryl’s cute bottom!! Not to mention that sideways glance! I think personally I’ll have to use this angle when I put her on display… just in a slightly higher up position!

I had to cover up their faces, but they both had huge smiles! 😛

It might look like they’re playing around here, but these are actually going to be used at a certain event! It just looks like they’re playing… but they’re actually hard at work finding out if these guns can actually be used!

But anyway, let’s forget about the guns for now and move onto today’s prototype review! (`・ω・´)

From PSYCHO-PASS:
Nendoroid Akane Tsunemori!

From the popular noitamina anime ‘PSYCHO-PASS’ comes a Nendoroid of Akane Tsunemori, the new inspector of the Public Safety Bureau’s Criminal Investigation Division! She comes with one of the key items in the series, a ‘Dominator’, allowing you to recreate a number of scenes from the series!

She looks so professional in her suit! (`･ω･´)

It really suits her strong sense of justice! Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟ )
Her unique eyes and expression are also captured nicely, and the Nendoroid look even adds an extra little bit of cuteness to her as well!

This is how she looks from the back!

Somehow I feel bad getting excited over Akane’s professional outfit, but that tight skirt and stockings are really nice!! The skirt is also planned to be made from a soft material, making sure that she can be posed without problems!

“Dominator: Paralyzer Mode!”

The ‘Dominator’ is a special handgun-like weapon used by officers in their constant battle against crime! Two different versions of the Dominator, along with hands to hold them are included with the Nendoroid!

Shuu-chan was in charge of this Nendo, and I think you can see he was very enthusiastic about this series!

“Dominator: Eliminator Mode!”

The mode above was the ‘Paralyzer Mode’ which isn’t deadly… but if you get shot with the ‘Eliminator Mode’… well, those that have seen the series will know what happens to you! (( ；゜Д゜))

As for the two different arms – the one in the previous photo has her posed holding the gun downward in a more passive pose, whereas this one has the gun pointed upward and ready to fire! Both arm parts are included, so you really have the choice how how you want to display her!

You can also see her frightened expression here!

In order to ensure that others cannot use it, the Dominator is able to determine the identity of it’s owner through a retina scan. While that happens the user’s eye color changes as you can see here – it seemed best to use the different eye color with this expression!

Getting information from a hologram!

The story is set in the future with a whole bunch of futuristic systems exist… just like this hologram which provide Akane with information! It’s included as a set with one of her bent left arm parts!

She also comes with a ‘chimi character’ expression!

What that means is that it’s the official chibi version character face illustrated by Yu-pon! This is the first time one of Yu-pon’s expressions has been included with a Nendoroid!! Yay!! ヽ(´∀`)丿

Seen they were both Nitroplus related products, I had to switch expressions with Nendoroid Ultimate Madoka, who I reviewed yesterday!

Nendoroid Ultimate Madoka

As the month comes to an end, many of our products are headed out to stores! (・ω・)ﾉ

This little goddess in a box is one of those products!

Today I’ll be doing a release sample review of this lovely Nendoroid! If you’re still unsure as to whether or not you want her, this might help you make a decision!

From Puella Magi Madoka Magica:
Nendoroid Ultimate Madoka!

From the anime ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a Nendoroid of the ultimate form that Madoka Kaname took after fighting numerous battles over countless timelines – Ultimate Madoka! She comes with both a standard smiling expression as well as a determined expression to show everyone there is always hope!

Her bow and arrow are also included, along with the magical symbols that appeared at her feet whenever she fired an arrow, which allows you to recreate the famous pose with her bow drawn and ready to fire!

Her whole outfit has a beautiful pearl paint coating!!

The elegant shine on her white outfit really gives her the divine appearance she deserves!! Back in March when we had employee training I went through to China to take a look at the factories, and at that time they were busy making Nendoroid Ultimate Madoka! I was really thrilled to see how everyone was working so hard and carefully on their respective jobs down the production line!

Thanks to all their hard work, the final product has come out looking beautiful!

This is how the packaging looks!

It’s mostly simple parts that are included with her, but the packaging still looks so full! I think the main reason for that is that the Nendoroid herself is so big and impressive – just look at her three layered skirt and beautiful long hair!

Not to mention the paintwork that has gone into the inside of her skirt to create the space effect! It’s simply amazing! Apparently to complete painting the inside of just one of these skirts, three different sets of pad printing were required! It must have taken forever to create so many!

This is how she looks from the back!

Ultimate Madoka is of course adorable from the front, but from the back you get to see her beautiful wings and hair! Her wings are made with transparent parts which have a very slight gradient applied to them – they look so pretty!! It’s nice to see figures from different angles sometimes, so be sure to give them a little adjustment once in awhile!

Two different arms to attach to the stand are included – one for posing her down low and another for up high. The one you can see here is the low one, and also allows you to use the included magical circle base attachment!

Ultimate Madoka in prayer!

This pose makes use of the bent arm parts to pose Madoka with her hands in prayer in front of her! The wrists are detachable (at the white glove parts), so you can also attach other hands onto the bent arms!

If you combine that with the opened out shoulder parts, you can make all sorts of different poses… you could even display her with hands on her hips! There might not seem to be that many arm parts, but the ones that are included give you a load of different posing options! (`・ω・´)

She can also equip the bow and arrow!

The bow is included in both it’s initial state and its transformed state! The GSC site official images only showed the transformed bow, so I decided to pose her with this one instead!

When you think about it, one of the most memorable scenes was when Ultimate Madoka’s first arrived, and at that point the bow still looked like this!

Using the cardboard sheet in the box as a background!

The cardboard backing of the box can actually be taken out! That means you can easily use it as a background for photos like this! You can also use it to cover up the mess on your desk when you don’t feel like cleaning up! 😛

The GSC design team is always trying their very best to ensure the packaging suits each character perfectly! ヽ(゜∀゜)ノ

Character Vocal Series: Earphone Jack Accessories

We got such good response from the display of them at the Miyazawa Model Exhibition! (((ﾟДﾟ)))

But of course we did! Just look how cute they are, even from a distance they look adorable!!

They’re so cute I just want to put them in my mouth and see how they taste!! But if I do they’ll get covered in drool and this review will be rather odd… so I will resist for now!

Earphone Jack Accessories

From the Character Vocal Series comes earphone jacks featuring Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len! The cute designs are based on illustrations by popular illustrators Y-oji, Souno and Putidevil! You can attach them to the top of your smartphone or any other device to add an extra bit of cuteness to enjoy throughout the day!

One will cost ¥500 and a box of 8 will also be available!

Let me add a few more details:
· One big box contains 8 smaller boxes.
· Inside each of the smaller boxes is one random character.
· You won’t be able to tell which character is in which box.
· You need to decide on a box, and pay your ¥500.
· Open up your box and see which character you get!

If you prefer, you can also preorder one of the big boxes of eight – giving you a whole bunch of them at once! (`･ω･´)

Trying one on my phone!

Yay! There’s a little Miku attacked to my iPhone! This also gives you a good feel for the size! I get the feeling I might spend more time staring at Miku instead of the screen though… 😛

The figures are based on illustrations by three different illustrators!

You can really see the different styles that come out from each of the illustrators, but they’re all so cute! As I go through each of them I’ll refer to the illustrators as well!

Kagamine Rin: Y-Oji Ver. & Hatsune Miku: Y-Oji Ver.!

Y-Oji is best known for his ‘Miracle Paint’ illustration, and here we have a super cute Rin and Miku in that same style! The gentle feeling of his illustrations really comes through with the sculpting and paintwork!

Look at Rin-chan’s little tummy sticking out! It’s so cute!!

It looks like she’s holding on with all her might!! (*゜∀゜*)

It’s lovely to see her face from the front, but the side is also super cute! You can even twist it to a different angle once in awhile for a slightly different look!

One of the Miku FamilyMart Campaign items ‘Odekake Pretz’ featured an illustration of Souno’s Miku and Len! I think this is also the first product that officially has ‘Len-kun’ as the name instead of just ‘Len’. This one is definitely high on my list, just because it’s Len-kun!! (*゜∀゜)=3

I’m told that these two figures were the most difficult of all six to manufacture! The little yellow line on Len’s pants are only just over 1mm in size!!

Hatsune Miku: Hatena Ver. & Hatsune Miku: Fluffy Ver.

Most of you will already know Putidevil as the illustrator involved with the Snow Festival Miku, FamilyMart Campaign and Sakura Miku! She’s been involved in so many Miku related things and now she has two cute earphone jack Mikus too!!

Just stare at this photo for 10 seconds quick, and you’ll notice your HP and MP will recover over those 10 seconds! They’re so cute!! (*´∀`*)

I really don’t think there are words that can describe th adorableness of this picture! The Miku at the top with her neck tilted is the ‘LINE Stamp’ Miku-san! The Fluffy Miku on the cloud is made to also work as a strap, so that it can be attached to the iPhone5 without looking odd!

Hatsune Miku: Ribbon Ver. also works with the iPhone5!

Her reason her twintails are tied in a ribbon, is to ensure she holds in place nicely even when upside down! Dealing with all the different smartphone models does sometimes cause some problems, but we do our best to ensure they work nicely with most of them!

Nendoroid Monomi

A giant Monokuma is attacking Monomi!!

…sorry, I just wanted to say the catch phrase from the game… 😛

Back when I did the Monokuma Review I hadn’t played any of the games yet, but since them I’ve finished 1,2 and ‘Zero’!

They were all so interesting, I couldn’t put them down once I got started! I’m really looking forward to the anime in Summer now!

From Super Danganronpa 2 Sayonara Zetsubou Gakuen:
Nendoroid Monomi!

From the high-speed detective action game ‘Super Danganronpa 2: Sayonara Zetsubou Gakuen’ comes a Nendoroid of the instructor that leads the main characters, Monomi! She comes with both a standard expression and a crying expression! The wooden stick she carries around on her when patrolling the island is also included as an optional part.

Be sure to display her together with the previously announced ‘Nendoroid Monokuma’ – not only do the two suit each other perfectly, but you can recreate even more of your favorite scenes from the game!

Monomi comes from the second game! ヾ(･∀･)ﾉ゛

Her voice actor is none other than Takako Sasuga! The same voice behind a certain character that ends his lines with “~dechu” in the classic family anime that still airs on Sunday evenings!

Monokuma is voiced by Nobuyo Oyama and Monomi by Takako Sasuga… hearing both of their dialogue in the game was like a dream come true!! (((;ﾟдﾟ)))

I can’t really go into detail as to why her body looks so similar to Monokuma without spoilers, so I’ll hold back a bit… but there really is a very good reason!

The important things to notice on Monomi are the cute pink ribbon on her ear and her big, white diaper!! (`・ω・´)

A “What do you mean?” pose!

Just by switching out for a bent arm and tilting her neck a bit you get a much more confused looking Monomi!

Monomi has her fair share of problems, but the best thing about her is that she always tries her very best!! Plus she’s so cute!! 。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。

A “Just leave it to me!” pose!

Both left and right straight arms come in both ‘rock’ and ‘paper’ shape! The ones in this photo are the more open, ‘paper’ hands! Her ears also come in both straight and bent versions! Such lovely details!

Just like Monokuma, her thighs are fitted with Nendoroid joints allowing for lovely poses like this one! Yay! (*´ω`*)

A crying expression is also included!

This pose looks exactly like it did in the game!!! Σ(・∀・ )

Now you can keep the depressed looking Monomi by your side all the time… you can even have Monokuma there to tease her! I just wish I could pat her on the head and make everything better!! I’m trying, but she’s just not cheering up!!

It’s so nice to actually be able to touch the characters… one of the many wonders of figures!!

Magical Girl Miracle Monomi!

Her wooden stick (that’s really all it is…) is included to display Monomi ready for combat!! Monomi is a lot stronger than you might think!! (`・ω・´)

You’ll have to play the game to find out more… so if you’re interested do consider picking it up. As a quick side note, the little musical note coming out the stand here is one of the Nendoroid More effect parts… it’s not included with Monomi herself, but they will be up for preorder from May!

“Kyaaaa!!”

I tried to recreate a fighting scene between her and Monokuma! (She seems to be the only one really fighting though… ) The two of them really do look great together, no matter what they’re doing! (*´ω`*)

I think they’d be rather lonely without each other, so I hope fans will pick up both of them together! I’d even recommend picking up a couple of Monokumas if you’re a real fan… I’ll explain my reasoning behind that at the end of the article!

Bonus! Academy Court!!

I had to do whatever I could to recreate this scene… I borrowed two ropes from Zetsubou-sensei Nendoroids! The ropes are not included with Monomi, but Zetsubou-sensei is scheduled to be rereleased some time next month, so you can grab him if you missed out!

It seems Katou-kun is about to start painting a 2nd prototype!!

H-Hang on! Before you start let me borrow the original prototype first!!

Whenever the 2nd prototype is due to be painted the orginal prototype is always used to ensure the colors match! All the white parts on the left of Katou-kun are the parts of the 2nd prototype that need to be painted. I wish him luck with all that painting!! ヽ(｀・ω・´)ノ

From Vivid Red Operation:
1/8th Scale Akane Isshiki!

“Friendship is the key to saving the world” in the popular anime series Vivid Red Operation, and from that series comes a 1/8th scale figure of the energetic and cheerful main character, Akane Isshiki!

The pose is based on a key visual illustration of Akane out on her part-time job as a newspaper delivery girl, riding ‘Wanko’, the hoverbike created by her grandfather! The dynamic posing is sure to impress any fans of the series!

Another figure riding a vehicle!! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

I love figures just standing by themselves as much as anyone else, but seeing amazing stands like this that pose the character with a vehicle has become something that really shows off GSC’s amazing craftsmanship!

This is how she looks from the back!

I’m sure you can tell from the photo that she’s in a bit of a forward-bent pose, but the bike itself is also not perfectly straight, but instead tilted to the right, creating a really dynamic apperance! The tilted angle also means that if you pose her at the same angle as the original illustration, you auctuallly get a glimpse of the underside of the bike so it really looks like it’s hovering!

But the bike aside… just look at those healthy looking thighs! My eyes somehow find their way back to them whenever I try to look away… (`・ω・´)

Akane feeling the wind in her hair!

Such a wonderful smile that really suits Akane’s character! Even just looking at her upper body, you can almost feel the wind blowing up against her…

The sculpting was done by kiking-kun from our Shanghai team, the same person who sculpted the amazing 1/8th scale Insane BRS figure. Looks like we can expect many more wonderful figures from him!! (((゜Д゜)))

Lovely!! (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

I can’t get enough of that little bit of skin you can see under her shirt!! Only figures bridge the gap between 2D and 3D, allowing you to see inside her shirt like this!! I almost can’t resist trying to put my finger in there… or should I say I literally couldn’t resist! (｀・ω・´)b

Her hips also have a nice build, not to mention those lovely thighs… I’m a huge fan of this area on figures, and I can say confidently that this sculpting is perfect!!

The details on the smaller parts is amazing!!

Akane-chan is out doing her daily newspaper deliveries… and just look at the details on the papers in her basket! The print is so fine that you can even read the headlines!!

The one paper at the very back (closest to Akane-chan) has even more details printed on it… Good Smile Company makes sure even the hard-to-see parts of figures have been carefully sculpted and painted! Also take note of how the paper at the very front of the pile has slightly bent corners!! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

Her beloved hoverbike, Wanko!

In the series this bike was built for her by her grandfather… but the figure version was built by out 3D team!! Mechanical things like the hoverbike are very well suited to be sculpted in 3D, as it’s easier to create the rigid looking mechanical designs through 3D work than is is by hand. You can see just how well the 3D sculpting works by looking at how nicely this hoverbike came out!

Hanging off the back of the bike you can also see Akane’s mayonnaise bottle strap! It just wouldn’t be the same without it!

The more I look, the more detail I find!

I’m not only talking about Wanko… just look at the soles of her shoes!!

No matter what I angle I look at her from, I always seem to find something else amazing… you’d be able to display her in so many different places and angles!

1/7th Scale Nyaruko

There haven’t been many chances to get prototypes this month…

From Haiyore! Nyaruko-san:
1/7th Scale Nyaruko!

From the hard-to-describe anime series ‘Haiyore! Nyaruko-san’ comes a 1/7th scale figure of the crawling chaos, Nyaruko-san! She is posed in a rather bold pose and outfit based on a popular illustration used as a pin-up, originally included with a magazine. The stand is shaped like a cute plate, adding even more appeal to the adorable Nyaruko-san! Fans can look forward to this chaos crawling their way soon!

Everyone dreams of the famous ‘naked apron’ look at some point, and Nyaruko is here today to show us exactly why!

This is how she looks from the back!

All in all the apron probably shows less skin than something like a bikini, but there is absolutely nothing covering up the area between her pelvis and her thighs… which makes it seem even more naughty than normal! I think I can learn a lot from this!! (*゜∀゜*)

The stand is white and plate-shaped, so with Nyaruko standing on it you can just imagine her saying ‘Eat me up!’ :P. The cute little emoticon face she is standing on is also super cute!!

A perfect rendition of Nyaruko-san!

The sculpting of her long fringe and the way her hair curls in at the sides looks great, and just look at those gleaming eyes! Max Factory has transformed her from illustration into figure perfectly!!

In her right hand she holds the famous ”hard-to-describe crowbar-like thingy’!

Cutting it Close!!! ヽ(`∀´)ﾉ

I’m sure many of you will know I’m a big fan of the whole ‘just not being able to see it’ effect – you can see it in action right here! It’s best when the clothes or angle just manage to hide everything away like this! There’s no way anyone could resist this photo!!

Now for a little bit of extra info that I really don’t know if I should be writing on the blog… I may get into trouble for this. But I know you’re all dying to know, so I’ll reveal some secrets:

First of all, the apron won’t be removable. I thought it might be when I first say those separation lines, but I was wrong. Secondly, regarding what she’s wearing underneath… well, she’s not. But it’s not quite at the level you might have seen on certain other figures! 😛

A white heart-shaped apron!

The edges and collar area have a lovely lacing which is super cute! Plus the way the front of the apron is fluttering about also looks magnificent!

Have her holding a ladle instead!

Nyaruko-san is best known to be holding her crowbar-like thingy, but some may prefer her to be holding a ladle instead – it does suit the apron and kitchen theme a lot more, and it’s great to have the choice!

Now it looks like Nyaruko-san is my very own new wife, cooking up dinner! ^^

A hard-to-describe low angle!!

This angle is the best I found that manages to shows off both her side-boob and her thighs. I’m actually really very glad I found this angle – it may be a little immodest to say so, but I think this is pretty much a perfect photo! 😛

As for the rest… you’ll have to wait until you grab her for yourself… then you can see her from whatever angle you choose!
