Kyoko Sakura ~The Beginning Story / The Everlasting~

From “Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: The Beginning Story / The Everlasting” comes a scale figure of Kyoko Sakura in her Puella Magi outfit.

The figure is based on the original key visual for the movie, originally illustrated by character designer Ume Aoki. The dynamic fluttering movement of her hair and outfit is a key highlight of this beautiful figure. Be sure to add her to your collection.

Her hair has been carefully sculpted to accurately represent the twisting, windblown look of it in the original illustration.

In order to recreate such a unique floating pose, an incredible amount of attention and care has been taken in sculpting all of the little details of her costume.

▲You can’t see these subtle fluttering movements of her skirt from the front, but the small details are definitely a highlight!

Kyoko has a mischievous, yet determined look on her face with her tongue out. It’s a very cute expression that shows her fighting spirit before going into battle! ◎

Though seeing this expression after learning about Kyoko’s backstory just fills me with all kinds of emotions… (ノД`)・゜・。

Her transforming spear has also been faithfully recreated!

The spear has a shining golden paint job, which gives it a rather heavy appearance!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Kyouko Sakura: Maiko Ver.!

From “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” comes a Nendoroid of Kyouko Sakura dressed in a refreshing Maiko outfit. She comes with two face plates including a smiling face and a face with closed eyes, and she also comes with a drawstring bag to display with her!

Interchangeable parts to pose her sitting are included, which can be used together with the closed eyes to create an elegant bowing pose. Be sure to display her with the other characters in the Puella Magi Madoka Magica Maiko series and create all sorts of different situations in Nendoroid size!

Kyouko Sakura is rejoining the Nendoroids dressed as a maiko!

Kyouko is joining the Nendoroids once again, this time wearing a Maiko’s outfit featuring morning glory patterns!!

Anyway, let’s get back to Kyouko!

She comes with a drawstring bag to display her holding! ♪

▲ The mischievous smile combined with the more mature
get-up makes for some interesting contrast!

Her expression faithfully captures her charming moe fang and her cute ponytail tied up high has also been captured in lovely chibi detail!! ヽ(*´∀｀)ノ

▲The hair accessories in her hair are sculpted with
a bit of a sway to them for a more dynamic look!

Along with the energetic smiling face above, she also comes with a much more gentle looking expression with closed eyes!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Sayaka Miki: Maiko Ver.!

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a Nendoroid of Sayaka Miki dressed in a refreshing Maiko outfit. She comes with two face plates including a smiling face and a face with closed eyes, and both closed and open Japanese-style umbrellas are included as accessories.

Interchangeable parts to pose her sitting are also included, which can be used together with the closed eyes to create an elegant bowing pose. Be sure to display her with the other characters in the Puella Magi Madoka Magica Maiko series and create all sorts of different situations in Nendoroid size!

We just had a lovely set of consecutive holidays called Golden Week here in Japan! Although now the next public holiday here in Japan is all the way in July…

But no holidays means more figures! Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Mami Tomoe: Maiko Ver.! ♡

From Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie comes a Nendoroid of Mami Tomoe dressed in a gorgeous maiko outfit. She comes with two face plates including a smiling expression and a face with closed eyes.

Bebe is also included in a pose imitating Mami’s, and she also comes with both an open and closed folding fan for various poses. Interchangeable parts to pose her sitting are also included which you can use together with the face with closed eyes to create an elegant bowing pose. Enjoy Mami-san is her gorgeous outfit right in your collection!

A Nendoroid of Mami Tomoe dressed as a gorgeous Maiko!

An all new adorable Nendoroid of Mami-san dressed up in a beautiful kimono filled with plum blossom prints! This is the third in a series of Nendoroids that feature the Puella Magi dressed up in more Japanese-style outfits.

Just like the last two figures in the series, Mami’s outfit has been beautifully converted into Nendoroid size with a wonderfully detailed kimono, sash and hair accessories! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The twirly parts of her hair are fitted with Nendoroid joints allowing you to create various different nuances.

She also comes with interchangeable parts which allow you to place her in this pose holding her sleeve up!

▲ Such a lovely elegant appearance for Mami-san! (/ω＼)

As you can see in the above, she also comes with a folding fan which can be held out like the above photo, or instead placed over her mouth like below to emphasize the blush in her cheeks! ☆

The face plate is the same as the photos above, but just by covering up the mouth it feels so very different! ♪

But that’s not all! Mami-san also comes with a little figure of Bebe!

▲ The mischievous expression is so cute!

The cute little cape has also been faithfully included all the way to the illustration on the back! The overall pose is kind of copying Mami’s pose and even has a cute yellow folding fan! (∩・∀・)∩

▲ Bebe will come with her own stand, different to the one you see here!

Here the two of them look posed performing a dance together! ♪

▲ I can just hear the classic Japanese instruments playing!

Plus she even comes with special sitting parts that allow you to pose her performing a cute yet graceful bow with three fingers to the ground.

Even while sitting you can still get a good look at the pattern on her kimono!

Her skirt billowing in the wind and various other intricate details have been carefully included on the figure for fans to enjoy in their collection. Be sure to display her with the previous released characters from the series!

A brand new scale figure from the popular anime series ‘Madoka Magica’!

Anyway, back to Mami-san…

Just like the previous two figures in the series, the attention to detail on the creases and flow of her clothing was one of the main points kept in mind while sculpting! ヽ(●´Д｀●)ﾉ

The way the fabric around her chest is being pulled…. you can make out the shape and the pull of gravity beneath the outfit so clearly!

The appearance of her hair accessory has also been faithfully preserved!♪

A closer look below and we find an amazingly intricate ribbon and dainty fingers that have a rather glamorous nail polish! ♪

▲ The creases in her skirt where her hand holds it down are impeccable!

The expression also captures the unique, gentle style of Ume Aoki-sensei’s illustration in figure form! ヽ(*´∀｀)ノ

Those gentle eyes looking down on me… I can just imagine her calming voice speaking to me!!

Nendoroid Homura Akemi: Kimono Ver. (Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie)

Next week I am going to attend the first wedding of one of my classmates from school. It’s quite a profound to think we’ve come that far!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure perfect for a celebration day like a wedding!
Nendoroid Homura Akemi: Kimono Ver.!

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a Nendoroid of Homura Akemi wearing a lovely yellow kimono! She comes with two face plates including a smiling face as well as a gentle expression with closed eyes.

The Nendoroid can be posed rubbing her hands together as if warming them up for the cold Winter season, and she also comes with sitting parts which can be used together with the expression with closed eyes to recreate a traditional bowing pose. Enjoy Homura in a stunning kimono in your Nendoroid collection!

“Reserved yet beautiful.”

A figure of Homura in the same outfit that was released as a scale figure in the past by ANIPLEX! A beautiful yellow kimono with various prints – the pattern has been faithfully preserved in Nendoroid size! The polka-dot stole is also included to keep her neck warm! ☆

▲ You can also see her feet are detailed inside!

Note the details of the sash that ties the kimono closed as well as the collar area of the kimono! The little details of the sculpt make the Nendoroid such an impressive sight!!

From the back you can see just how long the sleeves of the kimono are – a long, yet elegant flow of the kimono together with the cute way her hair is tied up in the stole has all been captured just as it looked on the scale figure!

The part of her hair that she is pulling to the side with her hand on the scale figure is also included as a separate part to fully recreate the original pose! It connects in-between the front and back hair parts! The little gloves are also so cute on those tiny Nendoroid hands!

She also comes with this alternate expression…

A gentle expression with closed eyes!

The slight blush in her cheeks also gives her a bit of an embarrassed look! An angelic smile for a beautiful character! The pose above also makes use of an alternate lower body part that attaches beneath the sash part to recreate this traditional bowing pose!

Also note that the sleeve parts of the kimono become flat ensuring they they don’t get in the way of the pose! These sitting parts for the kimono also let you get a closer look at the lovely gradient at the bottom ! ♥

The bowing pose also looks great with the standard expression!

It makes me sad to think that January has already somehow passed by… the start of February means that WonFes is just around the corner!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: The Beginning Story / The Everlasting’ comes a scale figure of Homura Akemi in her Puella Magi outfit. The figure is based on the original key visual for the movie, originally illustrated by character designer Ume Aoki.

Even the finer details such as how her hair sways in the wind has been carefully detailed for fans to enjoy in their collection. Be sure to display her with the previously released Kaname Madoka ~The Beginning Story / The Everlasting~!

“I wouldn’t mind being stuck in a never-ending maze… as long as it was for you.”

Dressed up in her Puella Magi outfit with her hair swaying in the wind around her as she looks ahead with wistful eyes – Homura Akemi as a lovely 1/8th scale figure! The figure is based on the original key visual for the movie, originally illustrated by character designer Ume Aoki-sensei!

Both her hands look so amazing! One holding down her hand and another holding a pistol! Not to mention her nails painted a beautiful pink!! ♪

The frilly skirt fluttering around as well is just as lovely, and the creases in her outfit in areas like her elbows and hips look absolutely fantastic! ☆

This is how she looks from the back!

The forward-bent posture she is posed makes the fluttering look of the skirt even more enjoyable from the back! The ribbon on her back also sways around with her hair!! This angle also gets you a nice look at her glossy black tights!!

You can also just see the nape of her neck! (੭ु ›ω‹ )੭ु⁾⁾♡

The gentle floating feeling of the figure is then completed with these rosy cheeks and adorable expression…

She looks so gentle, and yet the wistful in her eyes is also very clear…

I feel like there is something on the other side of those eyes that I’ll reach if I just keep staring into them. While the pose is overall quite a simple one, it still has so many unique touches and charms! It catches my attention in so many different ways! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Nendoroid Devil Homura

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

It’s starting to get rather chilly going home at night now! There are quite a few colds going around as well… I need to be careful not to catch one! Everyone be sure to take care of your health!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Devil Homura!!

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie -Rebellion-‘ comes the long-awaited Nendoroid of Devil Homura! Her stunning jet-black dress and devil wings have all been carefully shrunk down into Nendoroid size.

She comes with her standard expression as well as a smiling expression. Optional parts include the dark orb as well as a special hand part holding Kyubey. Enjoy recreating all of your favorite scenes from the movie!

Ooooooohhhh!!! (´□｀｡)

The devil form of Homura-chan is finally joining the Nendoroid series!♡

I just love the way she is looking down on me with those eyes!!

She even comes with special folded leg parts to recreate the pose from her famous illustration! ♪

Let’s see how she looks from the back! ☆

Her huge wings made up of beautiful feathers, along with her feathery looking dress have all been faithfully preserved in Nendoroid size! Her very revealing back too! ♪

In her hand she holds the Dark Orb!

To put it simply, it’s a fragment of a Soul Gem transformed into a dark jewel! It has also been sculpted in lovely detail!

(・∀・) “Take a close look at how we’ve done her eyes!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Yassan!!

(・∀・) “If you look closely you’ll see the bottom area of her eyes have a slight elevation to it!”

The elevation adds a more lonely feeling to her eyes!

( ･ω･) “The eyes themselves also differ to the previous Nendoroids in the series!”

We’re also joined by Nendoroid Devil Homura’s sculptor and painter, Hidetoshi Nishibu!! (GSC Production Team)

( ･ω･) “The original character designer Ume Aoki has a very unique drawing style that normally has an oblique line through the eye. Devil Homura however, never had this line, and we made sure to have the Nendoroid match!”

Oooh! I see!! Σ(・Д・」)
If you compare her eyes to the previous Nendoroids you can see the difference!

( ･ω･) “Things like these changes to the eyes might be small, but these little things all add up to give the figure character! Plus, when fans notice these smaller things it really makes me happy as the sculptor!”

Was there anything else about Devil Homura that felt different compared to the normal Homura?

( ･ω･) “Yep! I used a much darker palette of colors on her hair to help bring out the devil look more!”

I really want to display the two together to see the subtle changes between them! ♪

How about her wings! They look spectacular too!


(・∀・) “Each of the feathers have been sculpted separately… but that’s not all…

The wings also feature points of articulated points for all sorts of different poses!

If you look at my last photo, you’ll notice some of the feathers facing a different direction!

( ･ω･) “There an extra turning point in the middle of the wing that allows you to ‘fold’ the wind up for down! Not to mention that they wings attach to her by a ball joint – the posing options are truly endless!”

This means you can pose the wings opened out wide, or instead curled up like in the first photo of today’s blog! Loads of fun poses to be had! ♪

(・∀・) “Along with her standard downward glance, she also comes with this smiling expression!”

Such an fearless smile…!(((゜д゜;)))

(・∀・) “The inside of her dress is filled with darkness, while her knee-highs feature a lovely argyle pattern recreating her outfit perfectly!”」

Even the designs of her neck collar and shoes have been carefully made!


(・∀・) “Finally… she comes with one other rather unique optional part!”」

(・∀・) “Indeed! It’s Kyubey!”

A perfect Nendoroid-sized rendition of that famous scene!!

Nendoroid Madoka Kaname: Yukata Ver.

I’ve always preffered candy strawberries to candy apples! Why is it that food carts at festivals are always so appealing? I can’t help but want to eat everything they have on sale! (｀・ω・´)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a very festive Nendoroid…

Nendoroid Madoka Kaname: Yukata Ver.

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie’ comes a Nendoroid of Madoka Kaname wearing a yukata!
Optional parts include a smiling expression and an embarrassed expression, as well as a Kyubey pouch and a floral hairpin. She’s cuter than ever before dressed up in her yukata, ready for fans to enjoy her company!

Oooooo（*´▽｀*）oooooh!!

A Nendoroid of Madoka-chan in her yukata from FREEing! ♥
Many of you may recognise the outfit from the previously released 1/8th Scale Madoka Kaname: Yukata Ver. !

The design on the yukata was changed a little to suit the chibi Nendoroid look, however she still comes with the accessories seen on the scale version!

… which means!

She even comes with her Kyubey pouch!! (｀・ω・´)

She looks so adorable…! ♥ 

As you may have noticed, she can even take the same pose as the scale figure! It’s the perfect pose for taking souvenir photographs at festivals or anywhere else! (｀・ω・´)

She also comes with bent left and right arm parts with the long yukata sleeves draping down, giving a truly ‘Japanese’ look to enjoy! (*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Her expression is facing slightly to the right making for a nice side-long glance! ♪

The expression together with the yukata give her a much more mature appearance to the normal Madoka! Her other expression is also so cute…!

Just looking at it makes me feel all relaxed!! (*´Д`)♥

Not to mention she comes with an optional flower hair accessory! It makes her look even cuter!! I also think it gives her even more of a peaceful, Japanese-style appearance! ( -ﾉｪ-)

It also gives her a more cheerful look when used with the first expression!

There really is no way that a cute girl wearing a yukata can ever go wrong!! Wonderful work, FREEing!!

I wish I could stare at Madoka’s innocent smile forever more…!! _:(‘Θ’ 」 ∠):_

She suits the upcoming festivals and firework events coming up… I wish I could take her with… but there is always next year!! ♪

Homura Akemi: Yukata Ver.

I always used to want one of those toys that lets you make candyfloss at home… and even now I’m convinced that there should be a popcorn machine in the offices! (/ω・＼)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at one of FREEing’s products which is already up for order!

Homura Akemi: Yukata Ver.! ♪

From the popular anime movie, ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Rebellion’ comes a figure of Homura Akemi! She is dressed up in a dark purple yukata with spider lily prints giving off a rather mature look, which is contrasted by the pink candyfloss she holds in her hand. The other Puella Magi are also planned to be released in this yukata series, so be sure to collect and display them all together!

She looks so beautiful in a yukata! （*´▽｀*）

Homura is the second in FREEing’s Puella Magi Madoka Magica Y-STYLE series, following on from the previously released Madoka!♥

Traditional Japanese clothes are so lovely! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

What is Y-STYLE?
Y-STYLE is a series of figures that aims to sculpt characters with a more ‘Japanese’ look through elegant accessories and poses, while still preserving the atmosphere of the series they come from.

The combination of the fluffy candyfloss and the mature looking Homura-chan gives off a cute, mysterious charm! ♡

The flow of her yukata and hair have both been sculpted beautifully! Personally I also want to point out a rather specific area… her left hand!

This is probably just my weird mind making things up, but to me the way this hand is sculpted makes it look like she really wants to hold hands with someone!! ＜●＞＜●＞

Don’t you wish you could come up from behind her and gently wrap your fingers between hers?! ヾ(｡・Д・｡)ﾉ

Either than, or at least give her someone else to be with! Someone like the previously released Madoka Kaname: Yukata Ver.!! (*´Д`)

Ah… traditional Japanese clothes are so lovely!

You can make out Homura’s lovely slender body so nicely in the yukata! ♪


The flower pattern all over her yukata is the red magic lily! Definitely a flower ideal for a Puella Magi!

Enjoy Homura in a completely different outfit to normal!
