Nendoroid Miku Hatsune: Append Ver.

The GSC offices after last week’s events!

Yep, it’s a bit messy. 😛

A big thank you to everyone who visited us at Anisummer or CharaHobby over the weekend – as well as everyone who watched the live broadcast!

It’s a pity the weather was not great over the weekend, but I hope you all still enjoyed yourself at least a little bit! Look out for more events we’ll be participating in soon! 😀

Noe let’s take a look at one of the figures that was on display at CharaHobby!

Nendoroid Miku Hatsune: Append Ver.!

Miku Append is the new version of Miku that was created from the additional library pack ‘Miku Append’, and is now getting the Nendoroid treatment by sculptor Asai Masaki.

Indeed it is! A special base designed using a combination of black and clear plastic just for Append Miku.

Plus the base has a little gimmick built in!
We’ll take a look at that at the very end of the blog!

This is how she looks from the back!

Append Miku is just as sexy as a Nendoroid, but has a nice cute side to her as well! The way her hair is made using a gradient on clear plastic is absolutely stunning!!

Let’s take a look at the optional parts!

First up is her smiling face!

Generally speaking Append Miku is supposed to have a ‘cool’ feeling about her, but you can always transform her into a cute smiling Miku with parts like this!

She also comes with an outstretched arms!
The photo above only uses the left arm, but she in fact has one for her right arm as well!

A calm expression with closed eyes!

It’s a very mature looking face – not something you see very often on Nendoroids! But that’s just what Append Miku is here for – a change from the normal!

She also has two bent arms to cover her hears!
Append Miku is well known for this pose of her covering her ears -doesn’t it look sexy? Even though it’s a Nendoroid! 😛

Mix up the different arm bits a little!

With one bent arm and one outstretched arm you can make a lovely pose like this one! She also has her hips bent to the side a bit – the armored bits around her hips don’t get in the way at all for poses!

You can of course pose her like that as well!

Awakened Mode!! (`･ω･´)

The little flap on her stomach is also of course included for this pose!! It uses a whole bunch of extra parts as well! – Five of them in fact!

　Awakened Arms (The top of the black gloves is open)
　Awakened Hip Parts (Little wing things are attached!)
　Awakened Cord (A cord coming out of her back!)
　Awakened Legs

All of those are included just for the awakened pose! It’s almost another complete Nendoroid! 😛

You can also see the base has changed quite considerably!
If you take off the black top you can do mid air poses!
Now it looks just like the 1/8th scale Append Miku’s stand – in Nendoroid form!

The base also includes LED lights!!

Oooh! They’re so pretty! Append Miku already has a nice transparent feeling to her, so the lighting works really nicely for her! We haven’t had LED lights on a Nendoroid since Nendoroid Drossel – definitely the first time it’s been on a base of a Nendoroid.I hear that this year’s Snow Miku might also make use of LEDs! :O

Nendoroid Madoka Kaname

Whoa! Just kidding! Tsukki wasn’t really replaced, he is just out on a business trip to China again! But there is something that frog is holding that looks very interesting…!

The Nendo everyone is waiting for is coming tomorrow!

The first in the Madoka Magica Nendoroid Series:
Nendoroid Madoka Kaname!

Madoka Magica was hugely popular at this year’s Comiket, and from that series comes a Nendoroid of the kindhearted Madoka Kaname! Sorry for the wait everyone – I know you’ve been waiting for her!

She should be in stores from tomorrow!

Of course, I’ll be doing a quick sample review right now! Whee!

Let’s start with a look at the optional parts!

First is her upset face and arrow of light!

This expression is perfect for Madoka when she is fighting – even upset she still looks adorable though! This pose also makes use of the bent leg parts and stand to make her look posed in mid-air!

The pink parts on the arrow and bow use clear plastic!
She looks just as wonderful as she did in the series!

Takanon is very proud of his work on QB!
He can also be posed dangling from Madoka’s arm!

The default pose is the sitting QB, but you just switch the head and tail to another body and then he can be posed like this!

And my best thing about QB are his back paws!!
The way they are spread apart makes him look just like a little animal! It’s so cute!

The unexpected scribble expression!

This expression is of course based on the little drawing Madoka did of herself! 😛 These kind of fun parts are one of the best things about Nendoroids! I also mentioned it before, but that illustration was actually drawn by Madoka’s voice actress, Aoi Yuuki! Mami-san’s expression is also super cute! xD

Time to play with other expressions!

It just has to be done now – it also makes sure for everyone that she has good compatibility with other Nendoroid expressions! It’s so fun to see how characters look with the expressions of others!!

First up is the famous ‘ヽ(*ﾟдﾟ)ノ‘ Face!

Madoka petting Kyubey with this face… she looks like a little kindergarten girl now. 😛

Madoka with a catlike glance and :3!

Seen QB seemed like a little animal, this makes Madoka seem cat-like as well! I must say, if I were to ever see Madoka make this expression in the series I’d be VERY surprised. 😛 You can also see QB rolling around on the ground next to her! Awww, he is so cute!

Today I’ll be taking a look at the included figma BRSB!

Master figures of figmas are very fragile so I can’t be too bold with my posing, but I’ll try my best!

huke is the creator of Black Rock Shooter, but also famous for his character designs in other series such as the popular Steins; Gate – his first ark book ‘BLK’ brings all his work together, and to commemorate it’s sale will also come with this figma of another of his illustrations – BRSB! (Black Rock Shooter BEAST)

The mysterious BRS on the front cover of the art book is in fact BRSB!

You can see the illustration above! I do wonder how exactly she differs from the normal BRS-chan… I guess maybe she is more wild and ‘beast’-like as the name suggests?

This is how she looks from the back!

Isn’t that a skirt…? Plus it looks like if you opened that zip the skirt would just fall off! 😛 I also really love the legs – the futuristic look suits her really nicely! The tatoo design on her back also adds a nice sexy feel to her!

A giant sword – the BRS Blade!

It’s absolutely humongous, and when BRSB-chan holds it she looks awesome!

She also has a blue flame on her eye like BRS-chan!

By the way, the crown thing on her head can be removed, but it will leave a little hole where it attaches – it doesn’t really stand out though, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

The ‘Seven Shot’ that featured in the illustration!

Plus she has special hands just to hold the huge gun as well! I think I’m doing pretty well with the poses for once – it’s so easy to pose!

The back of the BRS Blade is incredible!

Look at the minute detail on the patterns and writing!! This has to be my favorite picture for today – she just looks so cute there!

She can even hold both at once!

There are a load of extra hand parts included which even let you do things like this! The spiky bit on her knee also has joints put in it so it’s easy to get into a pose without struggling.

An expression with closed eyes!

Her mouth also looks tightly shut as she is deep in thought… another cute expression!! The blue flame can also be used on this expression!

I was able to point out something for once! (I’m usually the one being corrected…), but the emphasis this time is on the ‘true’ kimono!
Look at the incredible details on her kimono!! ((((ﾟДﾟ)))

This is how she looks from the back!

First of all, the design on the kimono is incredibly detailed!!!
The whole thing has a beautiful flower design to it! Even the sash!

She also comes with the umbrella from the series!
Along with hands to hold it! It’s incredible how much goes into Nendoroids now! Such quality and volume for just one Nendoroid – and we’re not even close to being done yet!

Let’s take a look at the optional parts!
First up is her book, ‘Les Petites Abeilles’!

This is the book that Claude bought her as a present – she always keeps good care of it! The entire design of the books cover has been carefully shrunk down to Nendoroid size – plus she also comes with a hand to hold it!

Her first expression is a worried face!

Yune is so adorable, and seeing her about to burst into tears like this is just so touching!! Yune also comes with two bent arms along with two seperate shoulder parts for bending left and right. This allows you to put the arms in front of her, or by her side instead!

She also has a surprised expression & headband!

Yune is constantly surprised by how different it is in a foreign country, and this expression captures that surprise perfectly! She also comes with the headband she uses when cleaning up the store!

But there is still more to come!

She even comes with an apron!

Of course you can combine this with the headband above to recreate the cleaning Yune-chan completely, or you can just use the apron itself like in this photo!! Oh, and the cats are not included with the Nendoroid – they are my own personal little kitties! ^^;

And finally, an extra lower body to let her bow down!

This is of course the pose from the very first episode – what a perfect Nendoroid recreation of the pose!! The team has definitely worked way to hard on this one – there is just so many extra options! Great work, production team!

Ooh! Yune is so cute!! All this along with two other expressions and an extra lower body part for the bowing down! It’ll be really tough to decide how you want to display this one!

It didn’t look like the normal master figure box, so I wasn’t sure at first, but you can see a name written on it…

Nendoroid Golden Darkness!

She is from the spin off of ToLoveRu titled ‘ToLoveRu Darkness’ which is currently being serialized in Jump Square comes a Nendoroid a dangerous assassin from outer space – Golden Darkness! Some of you may remember that long ago GSC released a 1/8th scale Yami-chan, but many have been waiting for the Nendoroid!

The two parts of hair on the side are fitted with joints to move back and forward a little bit! As expected Yami-chan’s long golden hair is stunning!

First up is an embarrassed expression!

It’s amazing how well this expression works for Nendoroids! I’m sure this expression will work on a load of other Nendos too!

She also comes with a 3 taiyaki to munch on as well as a bag to hold them in!

Just look at the high quality on those taiyaki! You can see all the little scales! I want one as well now!

She is also happy to have a book with her!

Everyone knows Yami-chan loves her books, so of course the Nendoroid version has one for her to hold with her! There are so many optional extras that Yami-chan fans should be happy about… particularity the next one!

This allows you to recreate all the scenes where Yami is attacking with her transformed hair! No matter how angry she may be, she is still super cute! 😛

There is nothing wrong with small breasts, but at the same time I think Arséne is showing us exactly why some people prefer them bigger. ^^;

The dark red feels like the perfect color for her!

The red inside the cloak really complements the dark outfit and sexy look perfectly! Skin-color, black and red are the perfect colors for that sexy look! This figure is the perfect example of that!

He is out to watch the Miku concer- I mean, sell and display GSC goods related to Miku at the event!, and yet I’m left here in Matsudo. 🙁

Which means I can take a look at this figure that was at the TBS Anime Festa!

Nendoroid Yozora Mikazuki!

She is the main character from the light novel ‘Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai’, which is soon to become an anime! Those who read the novel will know she is not the nicest of characters to hang around! 😛 Even as a Nendoroid she still has that unsociable air about her!

Her straight black hair looks very nice shrunk down to Nendoroid size! She also has the little pink ribbons tied on the two strands of hair on the side!

The illustrations of the novel are courtesy of Buriki! The attention to detail is really beautiful, I love his work! The Nendoroid has a slightly different feeling to it, but she is still just as cute! They’re both so cute!!

An arm placed in front of her, arms on her hips and even an arm letting her put her hand through her hair! This allows you to recreate the pose from the stand that advertised the first volume, along with a load of other poses!

Yep! I’ve mentioned it before, but she is also on her way to the Nendoroid world! Those lower eyelashes look just like her!! Now Yozora will have someone to play Monster Hunter with! 😀 In the series Sena actually receives a rather interesting nickname from Yoroza – ‘Meat’. 😛

I found this plushie over at someone’s desk, and while it is rather interesting, I see something else that has also caught my eye…

1/8th Scale Triela!

Triela is from the popular manga currently being serialized in Dengeki Daiou, ‘GUNSLINGER GIRL’ – she is the second girl to become employed by the Social Welfare Agency!

It’s been a very long wait for this figure, but it has all been worth it now! Fans of the series will be glad they can finally display her together with Henrietta – who is also going on resale, just in case you missed her all those years back! 😛

Triela’s thin, golden twin-tails are blowing out in the wind along with her long black coat. The pose is a simple standing pose, but the feeling that the wind is blowing on her really adds a wonderful feeling to the entire figure.

Today I’ll be taking a look at…

1/8 Scale Miku Hatsune: Lat-type Ver.!

It’s a figure of Miku based on a popular 3D CG model of her from MikuMikuDance – The Lat-type model! All the small things that make up the popular model have been carefully sculpted into the figure – her large headphones, the red ring on her arm and even the checkered wallet chain at her waist!

That skirt is so close… so very close…. Lat-type Miku’s left foot is also posed slightly in the air! She comes with a clear rod to support the leg.

The design is simple, but very detailed!

While normal Miku has a headset, Lat-type Miku has headphones! I must say I’ve always wondered why girls wearing headphones is so popular, but I must say it’s cute here!

The hair accessories around her twintails make use of clear plastic!
It gives a very nice transparent feeling to them!

The 1/8th scale original Miku has just been on resale, so now you have no excuse to not display the two together!

But that’s a different base!?

Lat-type Miku comes with a 2nd base that matches the original 1/8th Scale Miku’s base! What a wonderful extra!! The poses are also just like mirror images of each other, so they really look good together!

The glasses can be used for all sorts of things!

They’re even the perfect size for Nendo petites! 😛 She actually comes with two pairs, so you are free to play around with them! Red-framed glasses AND school uniforms! Too much cute at once! xD

The package makes use of red borders to match the glasses!
Even the inside has a rather interesting finish! (I had a good laugh when I opened it up :P)
