Hello! I’m IG Sakai from the Max Factory Planning Department!

I’ve completed all of the trophies for Sekiro and am now on my 7th playthrough of the game.

And now, I’m so excited to show you figma Sekiro!

In addition to the photos you can see on the product page and special site, I took plenty of pictures for the purpose of this blog as well!

By the way, this figma has been made with the supervision of the designers of Sekiro, the shinobi prosthetic tools and sculptor’s idol from From Software!

Thanks to their help, we were able to recreate figma Sekiro as though he was taken straight out of the game!

Out of all of the figmas up until this point, I would have to say this one is certainly one of the most detailed!

First, let’s take a look at his face!

▲You can see just how detailed we were able to recreate his face with the use of triple 3d painting!

Take a look at the hairs on his forehead too!

With the use of 3d painting, we’re able to achieve an even more detailed appearance compared to traditional pad printing and mask paintwork.

Using this special paintwork, we can even recreate details like his Mark of the Dragon’s Heritage in extraordinary detail!

Besides his face, things like his clothes have been carefully 3D sculpted and painted to give the impression of texture.

Even different cloth portions have different textures! Three texture patterns were used in total.

 

Not only is the sculptwork finely detailed, but various points of articulation have been incorporated for maximum posability.

His shoulders feature a wide range of articulation as well, allowing you to display him holding his sword in both hands like this!

▲This really helped a lot of you during boss fights, didn’t it? The pattern and metallic look has been recreated using pad printing!

Don’t forget to attach this part when displaying Sekiro with his shinobi prosthetic tools!

▲Even the tiny parts were preserved in the figma to accurately recreate his appearance from the game!

 

Death Effect

▲It’s incredible how much suffering a single kanji character can bring.

It’s not red though, so you still have a chance to fight again!

2019 marks the 10th anniversary of Snow Miku, and the 2019 design was once again selected by fans through online votes between a selection of outfits all submitted to piapro by fans! This year the theme was “Princess of the Hokkaido Winter”, and the winning Snow Miku design was this version based on illustrations by -L F-! Her unique twintails have been carefully sculpted to give them a whimsical appearance. Mechanical parts have been sculpted individually, giving him a clean and detailed appearance.

Looking from the back you can see plenty of details, such as the orb on the rope tied around his waist, inscribed with the character “禅” (Zen).

Optional parts include an alternate lower body part to display her sitting, the mascot character Fou-kun as well as picnic parts based on the “Chaldea Lunchtime” craft essence.

Nendoroid Ram & Rem: Childhood Ver.

From the anime series “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-” comes Nendoroids of the twin sisters Ram and Rem from their childhood years. The iconic outfits from their childhood have been faithfully captured in Nendoroid size, and they each come with two face plates. Ram comes with a smiling expression and a serious expression while Rem comes with a smiling expression and a downcast expression.

Optional parts include holding hand parts as well as baskets together with fruits and plants to display them collecting ingredients. An alternate maid front hair part for each of them is also included allowing you to combine them with the previously released Nendoroid Ram and Nendoroid Rem in order to display the younger version of the twins in maid outfits! Be sure to add the adorable young twins to your collection!

figma Snow Miku: Crane Priestess Ver. (Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku)

Another snow forecast has come for Tokyo! It’s so cold outside that I’m really not surprised! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure that would look great with the snow…
figma Snow Miku: Crane Priestess Ver.

2018 marks the 9th anniversary of Snow Miku, and the 2018 design was once again selected by fans through online votes between a selection of outfits all submitted to piapro by fans! This year the theme was “Animals of Winter Hokkaido”, and the winning Snow Miku design was this version based on a red-crowned crane illustrated by Taichadon! The illustration has now been converted into this figma together with Rabbit Yukine who even holds a Shinto staff!

  • She comes with three expressions including a calm standard face, a gentle smiling face as well as a face with closed eyes as if in prayer.
  • Various items that match the priestess theme are included: a kagura bell, a folding fan, a Shinto staff and a tamagushi.
  • Her hood can be removed allowing for an different appearance.
  • An alternate lower body part and alternate coat part are included to display her kneeling.
  • An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

Let’s start with a look at the packaging!

The top features a lovely deep blue which gives the overall package a very relaxed color scheme!ヽ(*´∀｀)ノ

I personally also really love this year’s Snow Miku logo!

▲ The figma number has a “EX” which is used for event products! ♪

The package may look rather slim at first glance, but the blister pack on the inside has two layers for a rather impressive amount of parts!

There are all sorts of interesting items to play around with, but the one that caught my eye first was this one!

Kneeling Parts!! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

The area from the chest downward are replaced to display her in this lovely elegant kneeling pose, and alternate parts for her outfit are also included in order to really complete the pose!

Another part for the back part of her outfit is also included! Quite a few parts to switch out, but it makes for such a lovely pose! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

From the back you can see the underside of her socks!

The important thing to note here is you can see they way she is curling her toes around!!! Such intricate little details in such minor areas is really what makes the figma series so amazing!! (´□｀｡)

Her entire outfit is all based on the Japanese crane, and the points of articulation on the sleeves while she is kneeling have been very carefully thought out…


You can easily pose the sleeves in a very neat pattern to match the kneeling pose, but the amount of articulation also allows for various other potential posing options! ♪

Anyway, moving onto her optional parts, she comes with a kagura bell, a folding fan and a tamagushi.

But that’s not all, she also comes with a Shinto staff that matches up with the one that Rabbit Yukine is holding! ♪

Simply select the parts that best suit your pose! ε-(o´ω｀o)

By the way, I am often displaying Rabbit Yukine balanced on Snow Miku’s hands or head, but he does come with his own little stand as well! Be sure to add the lovely priestess Miku and her adorable companion to your collection!

The figma series celebrated it’s 10th anniversary on the 31st January 2018!
Congratulations!!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at these two items that are to be released as a part of the 10th anniversary celebrations! They will first be available at the upcoming Wonder Festival event!

figma Bride

The figma series is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and to celebrate we have made a special figma dressed up in a wedding dress!

  • She comes with two face plates including a smiling face and a face with closed eyes.
  • A variety of optional hand parts as well as a bouquet are also included.
  • The figure is standard figma size, allowing you to switch head parts with other characters and create an original figma bride!
  • An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

The figma series is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and to celebrate we have made a special figma dressed up in a tuxedo for a figma wedding!

  • He comes with two face plates including a smiling face and a face with closed eyes.
  • A variety of optional hand parts as well as a wedding ring are also included.
  • The figure is standard figma size, allowing you to switch head parts with other characters and create an original figma groom!
  • An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

Here is the inner packaging of each of the figures! Both are rather simple, but more than enough to create a lovely wedding! (∩・∀・)∩

The alternate hand parts include a shining ring on the ring finger! ♥

Although it was quite difficult to see in the packaging above, they also each come with simple optional parts – the bride comes with a bouquet…

While the groom comes with a ring in a box! (*´ｪ`*)

They also each come with an alternate expression with closed eyes.

In addition, the dress part of the figma Bride can also be removed…

Allowing you to pose her just wearing her wedding garter! (/ω＼)

Of course, perhaps the main reason this product exists is that you can also of course swap out the head parts of other figma figures, allowing you to create a wedding between your favorite characters with ease!!

For example, here we have figma Venus de Milo and figma The Thinker: Plaster ver. tying the knot!★

It suits her so well!!

I’m sure many fans have already taken a look at all the WonHobby products, but in case you missed out, be sure to take a look! For those unfamiliar with the event, here is a quick summary!

▼What is Wonder Festival?

Wonder Festival is the world’s biggest figure festival which takes place twice a year – once in Winter and once in Summer. The first Wonder Festival of 2018 is set to be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan on the 18th February 2018.

▼What is the WonHobby Booth?

This is short for the “WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!! Booth”, which is the joint booth Good Smile Company and Max Factory at the event. We have various brand new figures on display at the event, together with product sales, various other attractions and even a live stage!

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Crane Priestess Ver. 

2018 marks the 9th anniversary of Snow Miku, and the 2018 design was once again selected by fans through online votes between a selection of outfits all submitted to piapro by fans! This year the theme was “Animals of Winter Hokkaido”, and the winning Snow Miku design was this version based on a red-crowned crane illustrated by Taichadon! The illustration has now been converted into this adorable Nendoroid!

The hood can be attached and removed for a different look, and she comes with three different face plates including a standard expression, a wistful smiling face as well as a prayer face with closed eyes and a touch of lipstick. Optional parts include a kagura bell and folding fan to pose her performing traditional dances! A cypress stand to place the tools on as well as kneeling parts are also included to display her in prayer, and a crane made from ice is also included for her to hold in her hands.

In addition, a large base featuring a paved road and torii archway is also included to bring out the temple atmosphere, and she comes with a broom to display her cleaning the temple grounds! The snow on the base can even be removed for even more display opportunities! Enjoy the relaxed Snow Miku priestess in all sorts of adorable Nendoroid poses!

Nendoroid Megumin: School Uniform Ver.

From the anime series ‘KONO SUBARASHII SEKAI NI SYUKUFUKU WO! 2’ comes a Nendoroid of the wizard with delusions of grandeur and an affinity to the Explosion spell – Megumin! This time around she is wearing the school uniform that featured in the flashback scene from episode two of the anime series!

She comes with three face plates including a winking expression, the confident expression she had when her younger sister complimented her as well as a desperate chewing expression. Optional parts include two crayfish, bread crusts, a bread packet as well as her familiar, Chomusuke! She can also be posed holding Chomusuke! Be sure to display her with the previously released characters from the series!

The 5th Wonda-chan NEXT DOOR PROJECT figure is illustrated by Gin, an artist well known for works in various light novels and games! The figure has been sculpted by Ken Kawanishi (GRIMROCK!) ヽ(*´∀｀)ノ

 

▼ What is the Wonda-chan NEXT DOOR PROJECT

The illustrations of Wonda-chan used on the official WonFes guidebook are always done by a different illustrator for each event, and for the past few events a ‘NEXT DOOR’ Wonda-chan illustration – a second illustration that is done by an up-and-coming illustrator – has been done together with the main Wonda-chan! This secondary Wonda-chan is then made into a figure, creating the perfect souvenir for each Wonder Festival event! Good Smile Company takes part as the manufacturer for the figure!

Today’s Main Feature!!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at this product currently up for preorder!
figma Genji!

From the globally popular multiplayer first-person shooter Overwatch® comes a figma of Genji!

  • The smooth yet posable figma joints allow you to act out a variety of different scenes.
  • A flexible plastic is used in specific areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
  • Genji comes with both his katana and wakizashi for various combat poses.
  • Shuriken effect parts that make use of a translucent material are also included.
  • Also included is an articulated figma stand to facilitate various exciting poses.

The youngest son of the master of the Shimada ninja clan that ended up with a cyborg body is joining the figma series!

The separated parts on his side, the intricate details on his chest and the tiny little bolt-like parts all over his body! Every little detail has been captured in exquisite detail on the figma!

▲ The face and upper chest area have a metallic paint that differs from the rest of his body! ♪

Even from the back his form has been captured just as faithfully! (∩・∀・)∩

▲ Note the contrast between the organic looking curves and the sharper metallic parts of his cyborg body!

Along with a set of shuriken to hold between his fingers ready for combat, he also comes with a special effect part to display him throwing them! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

This allows you to pose him attacking just like in game! ★

His bandana is fitted with a ball joint that allows you to give the figure a dynamic feeling of movement as he dashes forward for jumps! Simply match the movement to your pose!

In addition to the shuriken, he also comes with his Dragonblade sword as well as his wakizashi!

The various weapons that are used in the game are all included to recreate his attacks, but you can also of course easily create your very own original poses with the parts!ε=(｡・д・｡)

The sculpt of the figure has had no compromises made, creating an action figure that is not only great to move around and play with but also looks incredible detailed and faithful to the game’s design!

I really can’t function in the heat of summer, and thus always rely on air con and fans. I can’t believe it’s still going to get even hotter than it currently is!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at this product from TOMYTEC that is currently up for preorder…
figma Rikka Shiina!

From TOMYTEC’s ‘Little Armory’ 1/12th scale weapon model series comes a figma of one of the series characters – the elite tactical girl’s school member, Rikka Shiina!
· The smooth yet posable figma joints allow you to act out a variety of different scenes.
· A flexible plastic is used in specific areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
· She makes use of drawer joints in her shoulders allowing her to easily wield the ‘Little Armory’ weapons.
· A plastic model runner kit for a Special Forces Carbine Rifle is included. The model is limited to the figma release and includes a holographic sight, muzzle booster, laser module, light, dual switch and foregrip as optional parts to attach to the weapon.
· She comes with both a standard expression and a more serious expression for combat scenes.
· Optional parts include an alternate skirt to pose her crouching, as well as a handgun with mounted light that can be holstered, and a transceiver.
· The background sheet of the product comes with two different target practice targets that can be cut out and displayed with her as a training ground.
· The package includes an original illustration by illustrator Haruaki Fuyuno.
· An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

For those who are unaware, the Little Armory series is a set of 1/12th scale plastic model kits of various weapons that can be put together and displayed with your favorite characters! They are just the right size for figma figures! You can find a listing of the various products in the series here!

But getting back to the figma! Just like the previously released figma Miyo Asato she comes with a special alternate skirt part that allows for crouching poses ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ

▲ Not just the skirt, but the bottom of the jacket is also specially re-sculpted!

These parts allow you to display her sitting…

Even sitting with her legs out!

It really opens up a whole new set of different poses with just a quick switch of parts! (ﾉ｡･ω･)八(｡･ω･｡)八(･ω･｡)ﾉ

You can even use these sitting parts for sexy poses like this!

All sorts of different options to play around with and enjoy! ♥

By the way, the figma also includes a Little Armory “Special Forces Carbine Rifle Exclusive Edition” as a runner kit to put together!

The parts are quite small, but I am told it is still made very quite easy even for beginners to put together!

The basic gun itself can be put together without any adhesive, but the more intricate parts to require some gluing!

The best thing is you can use combine her with the other items in the Little Armory series and really bring out the feel of the universe behind the series! ♪
