Kahotan Post Office #1

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

The two movies I always make sure to rewatch in the Summer are Summer Wars and Juvenile! They condense that Summer feeling so nicely for me!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at some of the mails that found their way into my inbox! Apologies for the wait – I know I opened the Kahotan Post Office quite a long time ago…!

Today marks the first Kahotan Post Office blog! (｀・ω・´)
 

– Product Requests –

This was without a doubt the most common form of mail! Not only requests for GSC products, but also figma products and more. There were actually a load of items that were requested before WonFes that actually ended up being displayed at WonFes!

For Example!

Plus there were a number of other products that were requested which are already in the pipeline! (； -ﾉｪ-)

Unfortunately many things prevent me from saying too much more at the moment, but a lot of you have some figures to look forward to! All the ideas that were sent through to us have been added to the list of product requests and will definitely be considered in the future! Thanks to everyone for their mail, and I’m looking forward to more soon!

– Figure Photos –

Sometimes I even just search Twitter for Nendoroid photos from others as I just love looking at all the lovely photos that fans take!

I also received an interesting idea from someone in my mail box! They asked why I don’t do theme-related photos instead and show them all at once – I thought it was a lovely idea!

Yamato Kai: Heavy Armament Ver.

I’m still rather confused at how quickly the weather has changed here in Japan! It feels like Autumn already – I think the aircon in the trains has been turned down a little too! (´=ω=｀)

Anyway, today I’ll be taking a look at a product that went up for preorder today… Max Factory’s:
Yamato Kai: Heavy Armament Ver.! ♥

The second in Good Smile Company’s ‘Wonderful Hobby Selection’ series of top-notch figures is Max Factory’s 1/8th scale figure of the Yamato-class Battleship, “Yamato Kai: Heavy Armament Ver.” from the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-.

The Heavy version features all of Yamato Kai’s impressive cannons – three 46cm three-barreled cannons, two smaller 15.5cm three-barreled cannons and 6 even smaller 12.7cm two-barrel cannons – all made to scale for a complete and faithful rendition of the original Yamato Kai illustration. The 46cm turrets are even articulated, and a special base made in the image of water with cherry blossom petals scattered across it is also included. Enjoy the company of the beautiful battleship Yamato as she floats peacefully in the water.

They’re so…. big!! (I mean the turrets, of course)

If case you missed yesterday’s blog, I took a look at Yamato Kai: Light Armament Ver.! This Heavy version comes with some extra parts – her huge ship parts that really bring out the KanColle atmosphere. as well as a special rippling base made in the image of water!

Taking a look from the back shows just how huge and powerful Yamato’s ship parts look! （*´▽｀*）

So huge that you can’t really see Yamato’s lovely thighs!

yesterday’s blog, as today I’m going to be focusing on the extra parts that come with the Heavy Armament Ver.! ヽ(・∀・)ﾉ


This is my personal favorite angle! ♥
The way she is sitting is just so cute, and the base makes it look even better! (*´Д`)

Anyway, let’s take a closer look at the ship parts!

Even the smallest of the turrets is beautifully sculpted!


At first glance all that really registers is the impressive size… but when you take a closer look you can see just how much work has been put into the figure!

Some of the turrets are even articulated allowing for slightly different nuances! ー+ﾟ｡*(*´∀｀*)*｡ﾟ+


As usual with KanColle girls… the contrast of their soft pale skin and the heavy mechanical look of the ship parts is simply fantastic…! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Then we come to the base!


The beautiful rippling sculptwork together with the semi-transparent appearance all make for a beautiful and unique base! You can just make out her legs beneath the water!

That also means that you can also choose to display her without the water parts if you choose! (=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ

“But hold on a second… won’t the hair be floating in the wrong position if the water isn’t there?!”

However! The figure’s planner Kaneko Nitohei has already attended to that problem! The figure comes with two separate hair parts – one for use with the water base and another for use without it!

The additional ship parts can also be removed, which means that the figure allows for three different combinations:
· Yamato + Ship Parts + Water Base
・Yamato + Ship Parts
・Yamato

You can even switch between them once in awhile for a change! (｀・ω・´) ♪

This is also the second product to be a part of the WONDERFUL HOBBY SELECTION series of products! For anyone who missed out on my explanation last time…

Yamato Kai: Light Armament Ver.

It’s started to cool down a bit now… I was complaining about the heat before but now I’m starting to feel a little down that Summer has come to an end… However! Simply by eating some ice-cream I jump right back into Summer mode!! (｀・ω・´)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a Max Factory product that will be up for preorder tomorrow…

Yamato Kai: Light Armament Ver. ♡

From the browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a figure of the Yamato-class Battleship, ‘Yamato’ is a lightly armed version. Unequipped with her large ship parts, Yamato is much more affordable, allowing fans to add her to their collection without too much of a hit to their wallets! Even without the ship parts, Yamato’s amazing body is still a treat for fans. Her beautiful, dignified appearance is ready to be enjoyed by all!

Oooooooohhhh!! （*´▽｀*）

She looks so very elegant… and what a gentle smile! The sitting pose is also a lovely change!

Let’s take a look at the whole figure from the front! ♪

The umbrella she holds is in the image of her mast! Taking a photo from this angle shows her slight upward gaze as she daintily sits upon her stand!

She’s an angel!! (*´Д`)♡

I-I couldn’t help myself! She’s too cute to be anything else! ♪

I think the thing about this figure is that it combines an amazing body with that slightly embarrassed look… it’s such an unfair combination! The sleeveless sailor outfit and miniskirt are also an unfair combination! But I don’t care! I love her anyway! *nomnom*

Anyway, let’s calm down and move on…

From here you get a nice look at her long, winding ponytail!
Don’t you wish you could run your fingers through it!

The hair is sculpted all the way down to the very tips on the ground by her legs!

I want to twirl it around my fingers so badly but I can’t!!!!

The sculptor behind this figure is Max Factory’s Shining Wizard @ Sawatika, the same sculptor behind Asuna ~Captured Titania~ which also has such amazing long hair! His sculptwork always makes me wish the figures had real hair…! <◯><◯>

Another part that is exquisitely detailed is the radar part adorned with cherry blossoms! ε=(｡・д・｡)

You can also see the umbrella even has the white line painted inside!

Her dainty little fingers also have a light pink nail polish! ♥

The armor-piercing caps of the ‘weapons’ on her chest have also been faithfully sculpted! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

If you look close you’ll also be able to spot exactly where her belly button is!

However as some of you may have already noticed…. the large ship parts that normally surround the battleship are currently missing! These are not included on the Light Armament Ver.!

The large ship parts are included with a with the Heavy Armament Ver., which will be released at the same time!

That said, being able to actually see Yamato’s amazing curves without the ship parts is quite a nice change! She’s beautiful!! (´□｀｡)

Areas like this would be harder to see with the turrets attached…! ♪

Had you ever noticed that Yamato was wearing string panties… tied up with an anchor! ♥
She may be lightly armed, but the quality and detail on the figure are still impeccable! (*´Д｀)=з

Her thighs and weapons along her legs are also great! The soft skin compared with the shiny metal is always such amazing contrast!

Simple… yet simply beautiful with an adorable smile and outfit!

The Colossus Titan: TAKAYUKI TAKEYA Ver.

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a product going up for preorder from the 28th August…

The Colossus Titan: TAKAYUKI TAKEYA Ver.


The first in Good Smile Company’s ‘Wonderful Hobby Selection’ series of top-notch figures is none other than the enemy of mankind from the popular anime ‘Attack on Titan’ – The Colossus Titan. The titan who stands taller than all the others, towering over all that stands in his way. The figure is designed and sculpted by Takayuki Takeya!

This is more than a figure – it is a work of art that captures the strength and power of The Colossus Titan in a pose of epic proportions. The figure is made from polystone allowing for meticulous detail to the sculpt, a heavy appearance and an unbelievably realistic texture. Standing an impressive 490mm in height, the figure also lives up to it’s name, with his hand ready to come crushing down on whatever is in front of him. No matter what angle you choose to look from he is a treat to the eyes – and the closer you look the more details you’ll see!

The Colossus Titan is a figure in a class of it’s own, and only 500 will be made available worldwide, with each being engraved with a unique serial number.

It’s hard to even call this a figure! It’s passed the boundary and got to the point where it should be considered a work of art, displayed in a museum for all to enjoy! Σ(･ω･ )

Take a good long look…!
Even his back has an overwhelming feeling of strength to it!

Each of the muscles and tendons all over his body are so incredibly intricate!


Every nook and corner is overflowing with strength…! Not to mention it really looks… alive! (*´Д｀)=з

The mountains of flesh extending from his spine are all made to look like they’re being pulled inward, giving the figure such an impressive presence!


Even though the figure is sculpted from cold, hard polystone… the arrangement of the figure makes it look like it should be warm and fleshy to the touch!

This angle also gives a good look at the shoulder blades!

The way the bone is kind of covered with a thin layer of muscle is rather… vivid! (； ･`ω･´)

Plus if you stare at his head for awhile…  I swear the bony parts on his forehead wriggle slightly…!


In fact, most of his body looks like it should be beating with a pulse…!

Staring at it standing somehow makes me feel on edge… as if it really should be moving! (°Д°；≡°Д°；)

As you may have read in the description, this product is actually a part of a new series of figures called the ‘WONDERFUL HOBBY SELECTION’!

Anyway, let’s get back to the figure itself! ♪


Taking a look at a shot where you can see the entire figure really shows off his impressive size! The long extended arm ready to knock the Survey Corps from the skies…!

I had a good look at the back, but…
The stomach area is just as impressive!


Once again the contractions of his muscles all look so incredible! The strained muscles in the area around his neck is also fantastic!!

A look from the side shows off the ups and downs of his muscles, as well as the dynamic feel of his pose!


The contractions and extensions of the muscles really give the figure it’s amazing pose, and bring out the realistic feeling of the figure as well! Each and every little line of muscle just begs to be touched!!

The Titan is amazing… but the crumbling wall base is also brilliantly detailed! Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟﾉ)ﾉ

Each and every one of the bricks looks different… all the small cracks and broken pieces have also been carefully included… there are no words to explain how amazing it looks!!


The wall base also helps to accentuate just how large the Colossus Titan is! Can you imagine if this thing was really coming toward you?! He is huge!! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

His legs are amazing… but wait until you see his hands close up!!


The hand looks so creepy! Down to the long nails that hand off them!

The warped look of his hand together with the blackened, almost decaying nails add an aged look that makes the Titan look all the more imposing! I definitely think this figure belongs in a museum somewhere!!

His other hand is held in a light fist, but it still beckons with power with pulsing veins and strained muscle!


Truly a figure that pulls you into the atmosphere of the series!

I really hope I was able to convey the intensity that the figure brings with it with these photos! At least to some degree!

When I was in high-school my major subject was Japanese history! I always had so much fun separating my notes by era…

It was so much fun and yet… I don’t think I remember most of the important parts now… （´・ω・`）.;:…（´・ω…:.;::..（´・;::: .:.;:

Anyway, today I’ll be taking a look at a product up for preorder tomorrow…

Nendoroid Himiko! ♪

 

From the sci-fi war anime with characters based on famous historical figures, ‘Nobunaga the Fool’ comes a Nendoroid of Himiko, the queen of Yamatai-koku! Her extravagant outfit is rather impressive in size even as a Nendoroid, and all the smaller details have been taken into careful consideration.

Her outer jacket can even be removed allowing you to enjoy her Miko Priestess outfit on the inside! She also comes with three expressions including her standard face, a confident smiling face and a face with closed eyes. Optional parts include two different sacred treasures. Be sure to display her together with the previously announced Nendoroid Jeanne Kaguya d’Arc!

The cute queen of Yamatai-koku is joining the Nendoroids! ♡

She is the second Nendoroid from Nobunaga the Fool following on from the previously announced Nendoroid Jeanne Kaguya d’Arc!!

The adorable little Chibihane that was always by her side is also included! ♪

The smaller details on her very unique outfit are all very detailed! Even her magatama-shaped hair accessories are faithfully included!

Not to mention that her outer jacket can be removed!

Underneath is just as detailed, with her colorful necklace and drawers combined with miko priestess colors! Plus just look at the skin showing between her pants and socks!! ヾ(｡・｀Д・´｡)ﾉ

Also take a closer look at the arm holding the sacred treasure!

The arms are specially made with an extra joint!

The elbow area of the Nendoroid is articulated meaning you can made all new poses without swapping out the arm parts! It also makes adding those slight nuances to your pose all the more easy! ♪ =(｡・д・｡)

It also means the arms are easily to pose around the cape part!

(・∀・) “Ah-hah! But the cape part also has some tricks up its sleeves!” *pun intended?

We’re joined today by the planning team’s Otanaka-shi !!

(・∀・) “Not only did we pay careful attention to the design, details and paintwork – but we also added some joints to the design for extra posing options!”

Oooh! There are joints hidden in the back! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ

(・∀・) “They are like miniature Nendoroid joints allowing you to pose the cape billowing upward – nothing is more epic than a billowing cape pose!”

It also means the articulated arms can be used in various ways even while she is wearing her cape! ♪

(・∀・) “The cape also has a slightly wavy design to it for a more dynamic feeling!”

Even these slight waves add such a nice effect!(‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

She also comes with an expression with closed eyes, which you can pose together with the sacred treasures to bring out a kind of mysterious power!

(・∀・) “Yep! The closed-eyes are lovely, but she also comes with my personal favorite – this confident smiling expression!”

 

I also love it! She looks so mischievous!

(・∀・) “Himiko is known in the series for her various facial expressions – it’s definitely one of her biggest charms!”

These kind of confident expressions always seem even cuter in Nendoroid form to me! It seems so adorable that such a cute little figure is so confident!! (๑´ㅂ`๑)

1/8th Scale Racing Miku 2014 Ver.

Today’s star…

And without further ado, let’s get straight onto today’s review…

The 1/8th Scale:
Racing Miku 2014 Ver.!♪

GOODSMILE RACING & TeamUKYO is currently taking part in the GT300 class races of Japan’s top motor racing series the ‘SUPER GT’ under the banner of the ‘Hatsune Miku GT Project’. The mascot character for the project is none other than Racing Miku, who is back again in 1/8th scale, this time dressed up in her new outfit for 2014!

This season’s Racing Miku was illustrated by the up-and-coming illustrator Oguchi with design direction by Shigeto Koyama, famous for his work in various anime series! The two of them have come together to create a design that fans have come to love, which has now become a scale figure for fans to add to their collection!

Oooooooohhh!! ヾ(*´Д｀)ﾉ

The goddess of the racing circuit is back again as a scale figure this year!

This season’s Miku is really quite special – illustrated by Oguchi with art direction by Shigeto Koyama! ♡

The unique posing with lovely twisted hips and her confident expression are beautiful, and the mechanical looking parts on her sides are also sculpted spectacularly!

The angling of her pinky finger is exquisite! (*´Д｀)=з

I can’t be the only one that gets a bit of a dainty, elegant feeling by looking at this! But anyway, let’s move on and take a look from some other angles! ♪

Starting with a look from the back!

The balance of her twisted upper body is magical!

This angle also gives you a nice look at her shapely thighs and cute little bottom! But perhaps the most important thing to look at here are her twintails!!

Miku is best known for her long twintails, and this year’s Racing Miku illustration has them soaring up behind her in a beautiful scene!

Using nothing but the main illustration which was a head-on view of Miku, figuring out how and where the hair was moving for the figure must have been rather difficult!

I decided to speak to the man behind the sculpting to find out more!
The GSC Production Team’s Katou-sensei! (｀・ω・´)

Q: How did you figure out how to sculpt this twisty turny hair?

A: There were obviously some parts that were not visible in the illustration, so some areas simply had to be done with some imagination and guesswork, but we also had the original character design images so the length of the hair and volume of the twists could all be calculated using those!”

It’s like time froze just as her hair was fluttering around her! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Q：That reminds me, in May we had one of the GSR Supporters Kelal （＠kelal0808） come by for photos to be used as posing research!”

A: “That’s right. We mainly used those photos to work on the collarbone and shoulders. It was important to see where the force of movement was focused when the upper body was bent in that way – we got a load of very useful photos from all sorts of angles which really helped the sculptwork on the figure!”

Kelal-san has body proportions very similar to Racing Miku which made her the perfect model to test out how the body would react in certain poses and get a more realistic looking sculpt!

She also danced to ‘Seikan Hikou’ during the photography session!

Q： Are there any areas of the figure you’d like to point out?

A: The sculpt of the hair is definitely my personal highlight… but the mechanical parts at her hips are also really awesome! These were made by Matsuzawa-san from the 3D team!

The soft skin of her hips contrast with the mechanical parts beautifully!! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The turbine-like inside of the parts has also been faithfully preserved on the figure! Each of the little white flaps around it also look amazing! (*´Д｀)=з

As usual the contrast between the mechanical and the cute girl makes for such a lovely sight! It makes her skin seem all the more softer… < ◯>< ◯>

Anyway, let me introduce my personal favorite point of the figure…! ♪

Do you see what I’m talking about?!

The way her hips are twisted…（*´▽｀*）

The combination of her slender and twisted body… I can’t help but want to touch it!! Not to mention that you also get a nice view of her chest from this angle… ^^

Another thing I want to point out, is that even though most of her skin is covered up… you can still make out her body’s curves perfectly through the outfit!

You can even make out where her belly button is!!

Also if you look at the clip underneath her breasts it really looks as if it’s clipped on! It all looks so realistic!! (๑´ڡ`๑)

From the curves modelled off a real model, the soft looking appearance of her skin at the thighs… Racing Miku may be a fictional character but the realism that comes out of the sculpt and paintwork really makes me fell that she is here with me, more real than anyone else!! She is really a work of art!

Huang Lingyin: Cat Ver.

Recently I’ve been dreaming of getting a kitty cat… if she was white I’d name her “Momen”, brown would be “Ganmo”! But anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a white kitty announced by FREEing!

The 1/4th Scale:
Huang Lingyin: Cat Ver.!

From the popular anime series ‘IS (Infinite Stratos)’ comes a figure of Ichika’s second childhood friend and IS representative for China, Huang Lingyin! She has been sculpted in the cute white cat outfit from the series!

Her small build and modest body preserve her youthful appearance, and her innocent smile is ready to charm you in an impressive 1/4th scale! The other heroines from the series will also be joining her shortly!

Rin-chan in a super sexy cat costume!!
The perfect follow up from the recently announced…
Tatenashi Sarashiki: Cat Ver.!

She is posed with one leg up in the air in a bit of a playful pose that captures her personality nicely, but also has a sexy side for fans to enjoy too!

Her trademark twintails are flowing out behind her! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

The way they curve inward at the ends is very cute! ♥ The big yellow ribbons in her hair are also very intricately sculpted!

Not to mention those shoulder blades!

I want to run by fingers along those smooth little bumps!
The curves of her back are also very faithful to her petite build! ♪

While her chest is rather modest, this outfit still gives it more than enough presence to be noticed!

I know that she had a bit of a complex about the size of them, but personally I rather like this size!

Move you eyes just a little lower though…. and you get an lovely bare stomach that looks so very soft and touchable!! ♡

The slight little bulge of her stomach is exquisite!

She might have a slender build, but there is definitely a little bit of meat to her that makes her look all the more touchable!!

Just looking at the point where where thighs are touching her stomach… I know in my mind she is made from a hard material, yet my mind refuses to believe it until I have tried squishing down that skin for myself! I can’t stand not touching it!! (*´Д｀)=з

Her skin isn’t the only thing I want to touch though… the fluffy areas on her wrists and legs are also very compelling!! ＜◯＞＜◯＞

Her ShenLong bracelet is also included, hidden behind a bit of fluffiness!

The contrast of the fluffy white and the black mechanical look is lovely! ε=(｡・д・｡)

My favorite filling for onigiri is cooked cod roe! I love slowly nibbling away at them! But anyway, today I’ll be taking a look at Phat’s…

1/8th Scale:

Miki Hoshii! ☆

From the anime series ‘IDOLM@STER’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the natural idol who takes things at her own pace, Miki Hoshii! The pose is based on the illustration by director Atsushi Nishigori seen on the 1st volume of the Blu-ray & DVD jacket for the anime series, and captures her playful expression perfectly! The glasses she holds in her hand can be attached and removed as you see fit – simply pick the pose your prefer!

The cute and stylish Miki who always takes things at her own pace is almost up for preorder! Her childish face is contrasted by the sexy wink and mature outfit which all comes together to bring out her adorable charm beautifully! ♥

The belt around her hips is filled with cute flowers, and just look at the slack appearance of her sleeves! The overall baggy look of her outfit makes her look so real!! （*´▽｀*）

The fringe on her skirt is also carefully made with each little frilly piece individually sculpted!

Plus something that I have personally fallen in love with…
Her Western-style boots! ★

Just look at the amazing floral pattern and silver stubs along the edges! The texture also looks amazingly realistic!

I love this kind of attention to detail! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

This angle actually gives the illusion that she is wearing short pants… but that’s not the case, it really is a skirt!

If we take a closer look from the side…

Look at that cute little tongue! Plus the sexy strap you can see on her shoulder!!

But Miki is still in her teens!

How can she have such a sexy side to her!! ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡

I’m in my late twenties and I’m nowhere close…

Another thing to note is that the glasses she is holding can be attached and removed whenever you like! ☆

This gives you a close look at her playful winking face! ♪

This is the face of a little devil that 31 people professed to in just one day! You can have her all to yourself!

The fact that she is genius idol and yet still has such a relaxed and playful attitude is key to her personality, and captured in the figure so nicely! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Now… let’s take a little peek from a higher angle too! (/ω・＼)！！

You can get a little glim@se of Miki’s modest bosom!
The bead necklace around her neck is also incredibly detailed!!

Although perhaps the most noticeable point from this angle are those soft looking thighs and dainty arms! Such beautiful pale skin!! ＜◯＞＜◯＞

By the way, her base features her fresh green image color together with the IDOLM@STER logo!

The fact that the bases in the series all match too is a nice touch… it really makes me want to collect them all… ><

Most of all the ability to see the lovely illustrations of the DVD&Blu-ray jackets from any angle is so much fun! Definitely not a series that fans should miss out on!(*´Д｀)=з

First up is Tori Bird-senpai and his rather impressive Shimakaze illustration… and just look at that epic Mecha wooser too!! We also have a remote controlled Nendoroid Petite and Nendoroid Petite Love Live characters each finished up by one of this year’s newcomers! Impressive!

Each of them had a lovely personalized feeling to their work which made them all the more special. Ueda-san from the manufacturing team described her project as ‘My Kotori-chan has been born’ – a very… interesting way to describe one’s work!


 

Items made from fabrics like wool and felt were rather popular in this year’s ‘Other’ section. The dessert witch had a particularly large impact on me… both size-wise and emotionally!

Why so big? Why are there three different sizes? Those are questions that only the creator, Samurai knows the answer to… I am just the photographer!

It still amazes me how something so colorful and be such an absolute monster… Anyway, let’s move along…!



The little railway model is a special homage to Tomioka city! Apparently only those from Gunma prefecture will really understand it…

But anyone, as I mentioned last time I must reiterate once again…
No products here are planned to be released as actual products!

The Nendoroid Yoshino panel is simply made as a fan of IDOLM@STER! There are no actual plans for the Nendoroid to be released at this point in time! Same goes for the figma My Neighbor Seki made by GSC Shanghai’s Luu-kun!
Everything here was just made as a personal hobby! Sometimes to a very professional level…

But that brings the entries of this year’s Cup to an end! For those of you who are interested on what managed to take overall first place…

The winner was was none other than…

I decided a picture had to be taken with his creator to commemorate!



He asked to have his face blurred out, but it was actually visible on the poster sued during the last WonFes for the sculptor’s corner, so I decided to included that too! You’ll have to put the two together for a complete look!

Nendoroid Hiei

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Over the Summer break I actually ended up playing around with clay quite a bit! If only I had started a little earlier I would have been able to enter my creation into the Good Smile Cup!!

I did put the things I made up on Twitter if you’re interested… ( -ﾉｪ-)

Today I’ll be taking a look at a product going up for preorder tomorrow…

Nendoroid Hiei! ♪

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the high-speed battleship, Hiei! She has joined the Nendoroids hoping to get a little bit closer to the power of her older sister, Kongo!

Hiei comes with three different face parts including her standard expression, a winking expression as well as her ‘half-damage’ expression! Optional parts include attacking effect parts as well as special effect parts to place around her feet which show her determined spirit! A tea stand and table are also included to serve Kongo at tea time, and her specialty dish ‘Hiei Curry’ is also included!

Hiei is finally here!! （*´▽｀*）

The second of the four Kongo Sisters!

Just look at that confident winking expression! Not to mention the lovely Miko priestess outfit she is wearing! Kongo’s dress was completely blank, but Hiei’s has a lovely green chequered design which has been faithfully preserved on the Nendoroid! ♪

Speaking of faithfully preserved… this ship parts are also fantastic! (｀・ω・´)

Each of the turret barrels are separately articulated, and the turrets themselves can also be rotated to the left and right!!

As if that wasn’t enough, the arms they are attached to are also fitted with ball joints for fine-tuning the angles! The number of different positions you can put these turrets in are endless!! (*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Hiei also has rather short-cut hair, meaning her hair doesn’t get in way of the turret posing! You can even place them all in an X-shape like this…!

“Nendoroid Hiei! Ready! For! Anything!”

Using this lovely expression and clenched fists, you can recreate this epic pose! (｡・д・｡)

The winking expression is lovely, but the confidence overflowing from this expression is also so perfect for Hiei! ♡

Also take a look around her feet!

She comes with effect parts to show her powerful spirit!

It’s as if the seas are spraying out around her at the sheer power of her spirit!! You can also make use of the other included effect parts for an even more imposing look!

Firing effect parts, perfect for recreating combat scenes!

Combining the two effect parts makes it look as if the force of the cannons is causing the water to spray around her! The recoil from those cannons must be rather impressive! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The effect parts are joined together as double shot parts, and connect into the turrets with ease!

Hiei also comes with a half-damaged expression!!

However it has already been sent off to China…!! (´；ω；｀)

Unfortunately I won’t be able to show the expression on the blog, but keep your eyes on the GSC site and my Twitter for updates!!

Anyway, let’s move onto the other optional parts for now…

Hiei’s famous curry is included as an optional part! ☆

You can even see various ingredients floating about in the curry… it looks rather tasty! I can’t imagine why the Admiral ran away from her… (´□｀｡)

A table and tea stand for tea with Kongo?! ( ﾟдﾟ)

(・∀・) “Exactly! Hiei is known for her love for her older sister Kongo, so we wanted to include some parts to display them together!”

Scones… cakes and sandwiches… perfect tea time treats! ♪

The table cloth even looks like it is made from fabric! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

(・∀・) “This is how she looks displayed with Kongo!”

It looks like Hiei is also bringing curry to the tea party… but by the look on Kongo’s face she isn’t too happy about that! (； ･`ω･´)
I can feel my imagination thinking up a story here… ><

Nendoroid Kongo is scheduled to reach wholesale stores on the 25th August, so she should be in everyone’s collections soon! Be sure to give her lots of love!
