Yuri Yoshida Interview & Comiket Reminder!

I hope you are all managing to get through the Summer heat! I have been spending my Summer break visiting my grandparents! (｀・ω・´)

(・∀・) “Hehehe…”

W-We’re suddenly joined by Shuu-chan from GSC’s planning team!

What’s the matter?! Why do you have that grin on your face?!

(・∀・) “I got the chance to interview Mashiro’s voice actor, Yuri Yoshida during a NicoNico live broadcast!”

\ W-Whaaattt?! /

(・∀・) “I brought the Mashiro Nendoroid with me and asked her all about her opinion of it! （≧∀≦＊）”

Q1: What do you think of the fact that a figure of a character you voiced has been made into a Nendoroid?

A: This was the first ever anime I’ve done voice acting for, and I couldn’t be more proud to see a figure made of the character! She is definitely very suited to the chibi look of the Nendoroids – probably more so than any of the other Mikakunin de Shinkoukei (MDS) characters. I really like the Nendoroid series of figures – to me the small chibi look is much cuter than bigger scale figures!

Q2: What are your thoughts on the Mashiro Nendoroid?

A: A lot of the poses seen in the anime come out so perfectly… and overall the expressions are just amazingly cute! I know that this pose comes right out of the ending theme… plus my favorite smug expression that was seen all so often in the series is also included! The curry also looks yummy~! I can tell it’s nice and mild for her! I also really like Mashiro’s hair color. and it has come out looking just like it did in the series! ♪

Q3: When Nendoroid Mashiro releases, how would you like to see the fans play with her?

A: Take a look at the ending theme and get all sorts of fun ideas to enjoy with her! Have her enjoy the curry, enjoy the mysterious UMA toy, jump up in the air – have Mashriro be the character she was made to be!”

╭( ・ㅂ・)و ̑̑＜I’d also love to see Kobeni and Benio with her!! ）

(・∀・) “It was very inspiring to talk to her, and a proud moment as the figure’s planner! A big thank you to her for her time!”

To think the voice actor herself would take a look and praise the Nendoroid!!

I am here to make your love come true.

From the popular PC game ‘Koi ga Saku Koro Sakura Doki’ comes a Nendoroid of the ‘Love Fairy’ Tina!

Various parts vital to Tina’s character including her scythe and her familiar Kotarou are all included, and she also comes with three expressions including her standard gentle expression, a teary-eyed expression and a more serious ‘god of death’ expression! The various parts allow you to recreate all sorts of scenes from the game!

This product will initially be available at Comic Market 86, Booth 451.

Racing Miku: Sepang Ver.

I spent the weekend shut inside my house, spending much more time with my aircon than with the sun. Although seeing all the people with suntans walking about really makes it seem like summertime…

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure that has been beautifully tanned by the Summer sun…

The 1/8th Scale..

Racing Miku: Sepang Ver.! ★

The fastest diva under the sun is here in her Sepang Ver.!

The Hatsune Miku GT Project’s mascot character ‘Racing Miku’ was illustrated cheering on the team at the 2013 Sepang Circuit, and that version of Miku has now been made into a figure!

Her sleek curves and colorful wings – even the tanned color of her skin have all been faithfully preserved on the figure. The smallest of details from her unique design leave tons of highlights for fans to enjoy! Enjoy the company of the sexy tanned Racing Miku, ready to cheer you on whenever you need it!

Oooooooohhhh!!! （*´▽｀*）

A 1/8th scale figure of the golden-brown tanned Miku-san from the Sepang race! ♪

Although Miku may be known for her long twin-tails, this version of her with her hair tied up in buns is also adorable! I also decided to take today’s photos in a section of the office filled with GSR goodies to better suit the atmosphere! ★

Her supple and sporty looking body is only made sexier by the lovely suntan! (*´Д｀)=з

The darker skin is also contrasted beautifully with the use of clear, semi-transparent wing parts on her outfit! (｀・ω・´)

Let’s see how she looks from the back! ♪

It only gets sexier as you get a good look at her twisted hips… not to mention the epic wing parts attached to her back!

One jump to victory!!ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Both her right foot and the placard she is holding her in her hands connect onto the base, holding her securely in place even with such a dynamic pose!

Now let’s take a closer look from the front! (σ・∀・)σ

At first glance the shape of her rib cage as well as her beautifully shaped breasts may jump at you, but the point I really think is delicious is the slightly elongated belly button!♡

The almost mechanical, spiky appearance of her outfit also contrasts with her soft looking skin very nicely! The slight gradient applied to the light blue areas on her outfit is also stunning! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The lighter untanned skin on her thigh reads ‘SUPER GT SEPANG’, and she also has a tattoo of the GSR logo on her flank… this version of Miku definitely has a little more mischievous charm to her than the normal Miku! ヽ(ｏ´∀｀ｏ)ﾉ

Whilst she does have that mechanical feeling about her design… the parts you’d expect to look soft and fleshy do not disappoint!!

Just look at the line connecting her bottom and thigh!! Delicious!!

The creases on her outfit are simply perfect!! ( 。• ̀ω•́ )b
You can just picture the soft skin underneath so easily! Just try it!!

Once your’s arrives, be sure to take a close look from every single angle!!

Mikuzukin

The first day of Autumn is here, but the Summer heat is still lingering on! I for one will get through the heat with my one-ice-cream-a-day policy! (｀・ω・´)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at Max Factory’s…

1/7^th Scale:

Mikuzukin! ♪

From SEGA’s rhythm game ‘Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- 2nd’ comes a 1/7th scale figure of one of the most popular ‘module’ outfits from the game, Mikuzukin! All the details of her outfit have been carefully sculpted onto the figure, including the large red hood with a cute little wolf peeking out from the top!

The figure is filled with various adorable highlights such as the white apron with flower prints, the large red ribbon on her chest and even the cute wolf shape she is making with her right hand! All the better to display in your collection, my dear!

Oooooooooooh!! （*´▽｀*）♡♥

No wolf would dare harm something this cute! ♡

An adorable Miku-san dressed up in a Red Riding Hood outfit!

The amount of work that has gone into the outfit is spectacular! The frills and bows all over are lovely! The outfit looks so soft and fluffy that it’s actually really strange to touch it and find it is so hard! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

This is how she looks from the back! ♪

The figure is posed in a fairly standard standing pose, but the twist in her hips and legs gives a slightly dynamic feeling to the figure!

The huge ribbon at her hips, all the frills of the skirt… the yellow ribbons on her knee socks… everything comes together and fits the pose so nicely! ☆

The slight bunching of material on her socks behind her knees and at her ankles is also fantastic!

Let’s get a slightly closer look shall we! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

Not only are the creases realistic, the soft, smooth look of the socks is done so nicely – it really gives the illusion that she is wearing real fabric! ♡

Another thing I have to point out is her apron!

Not only do all the edges of the fabric feature intricate frills, even the stitching along the edges has been carefully included! Not to mention the cute pattern on the front! (ﾟＡﾟ;)ｺ

The lacy edge of her socks and the lacy edge of her skirt also create a little border for the little glimpse of bare legs you can see inbetween!

The product as a whole is fantastic, but I could happily stare at these intricate little details for ages!! From the tips of her toes to the end of her fingers – the detail is simply astounding! =(｡・д・｡)

The original sculptor of the figure was Grizzry Panda, and his amazing work will be transformed into a PVC figure for fans all over the world to enjoy!

The little wolf is also included!! He gave up trying to eat Miku-san when he saw how cute she was! (*´Д`)

His expression is so very adorable! ♥

In the fairytale the wold might be the bad guy, but I get the feeling that this wolf isn’t going to cause any problems! Plus if you look from behind, the wolf’s ears stick out making it look like Miku has wolf ears instead!

Her nails are also painted the same color as her hair!, and if you look from an angle above, the increasing volume of her skirt becomes much more noticeable!

It’s like the module jumped right out of the game!
Be sure to add her to your collection! ♪

The Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition: Summer 2014

WonFes has comes to an end and we are already a week into August! The effects of WonFes are still lingering on with many members of staff too… I myself have still not managed to clean up my desk…

Anyway, today I went and visiting a little gathering that has become an established tradition after WonFes…

The event is a special industry-only exhibition run by Good Smile Company which allows dealers and the media to get a close look at upcoming releases from various manufacturers.

Sachiko Koshimizu: Self-Proclaimed Cute Ver.

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a product which is already up for order!

Self-Proclaimed Cute Ver.! ♪

From the popular social game ‘IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Sachiko Koshimizu in her ‘Self-Proclaimed Cute’ outfit! Every part of the figure has been faithfully sculpted to match the original – from the design of the outfit, the pose which lets her show off her cuteness, and even her facial expression – overflowing with confidence!

Her cuteness really is a sin! （*´▽｀*）♡♥

The cute-type 142cm Sacchan has arrived on my desk for a performance! ♪

Looking up at her from a lower angle definitely suits the pose well! That devilish smile and downward glance are simply fantastic!

Let me zoom out a little bit more to get the full mike stand in the shot!

I’m sure there are many producers out there who just can’t get enough of that expression on her face! It’s just daring anyone to come for her!

“I love the way that everyone wants me…! But I know that you’re the one that wants me most, Producer-san!

This is how she looks from the back! ☆

The intricate frills of the dress and the long winding ribbon both look fantastic! The striped design of the dress adds a bit of an extravagant look to her body too!! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Not to mention the black wings made with semi-transparent parts! ♪
You can just see some color through them!

Let’s go back to the front once again…

Her delicious stomach!! ＜●＞＜●＞

Sachiko’s rather slim build and pale skin look so amazing! I can’t help but want to touch her – this is really an amazing product for any collection! (*´Д｀)=з

The textures of the skin, gloves and skirt are also all very different looking! They really all look to be made from different materials!!

The design of her collar with its small black hearts have been sculpted in perfect detail! Not only the collar, but other small items such as her hair accessory and microphone are also very intricately detailed!

Looking at the chain attached to her collar brings an amazing sense of realism to the figure as well… I can hardly believe it’s not a real chain! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

The ever so slight shadow added to her humble little breasts is also lovely!

By the way! The planner for this figure was none other than Phat! Company’s Takamatsu-shi… and as I’m sure everyone has come to know, he has a distinct love for making designs with incredible shoe soles! Let’s see how they look this time!!

As usual they are very thoroughly made!! As expected of the shoe master!!
(This was actually the first part of the figure I looked at… ( -ﾉｪ-))

There are so many angles that she looks amazing from that I don’t have time to show them all… but here is another great example!

Her smooth back and the sides of her stomach for your viewing pleasure! The slight glimpse at her legs under the skirt also adds a little tease to the angle – plus you can even see she is pointing out her pinky finger from this angle… it somehow gives off a rather naughty feeling! There is so much to enjoy with this figure!! ♡

Personally, my very first photo as well as this photo are my best of her! ♪

But I’m sure all the producers out there can find an angle that suits them!

Mental Model Takao

The first thing that comes to people’s mind is the ocean! But as someone who can’t swim it seems rather unrelated to me! That said, I do quite enjoy walking along the beach and collecting shells, and building sand castles…

Anyway! Today I’m going to be taking a look at Phat! Company’s…

1/8th Scale:

Mental Model Takao! ♪

From the anime series with a movie on the way, ‘Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-‘ comes a figure of Mental Model Takao, the heavy cruiser from the Fleet of Fog, who falls in love for the main character of the series, Gunzou Chihaya. Her impressive body and swirling ponytails have all been carefully sculpted as she sits resting on one of the Takao-class Heavy Cruiser’s turrets looking up from her book with a gentle smile.

The tsundere heavy cruiser! ♪

The long-awaited scale figure of the beautiful blue-haired mental model, the Heavy Cruiser Takao! ☆

She has been posed sitting down looking slightly to the side with a confident, intelligent look to her! The little mole by her mouth is also lovely! （*´▽｀*）

However her mature appearance is mainly on the outside, as her inner personality is determined to win Gunzou’s heart! A lovable side to her personality that adds an extra element of cuteness to Takao!

This is how she looks from the back!!

Her characteristic long blue hair has been very intricately sculpted! Plus the black chocker around her neck as well as the unique pattern on her collar have been faithfully included on the figure! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The shoulder blades you can see through her thin outfit are also lovely!

Looking at her back makes we want to run up from behind and give her a hug around those lovely bare arms!! ( -ﾉｪ-)

Hmm…. but what is that book she is holding…? ( ﾟдﾟ) Ah!

It’s the book she bought after she met Gunzou!

“A Ship and her Captain”!

Plus with the help of the animation company Sanzigen, the book has been faithfully made down to the finest of details using the original data from the anime series! (°Д°；≡°Д°；)

Sanzigen is always so willing to help with the smaller details!! （*´▽｀*）

As if the cover wasn’t enough, even the inside of the book has the writing from the original stamped onto it! I love the small details on little accessories like this so much!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

The bent S-shape of her body and the twist in her hips is all so sexy! So sexy!! Yet at the same time the pose is overflowing with elegance as well! Takao is always prepared for any battle! ♪ (especially a battle of love!)

Looking from the back and above gives her that elegant sexy look… but what about from the front? Let’s take a closer look!

Look at that bare skin between her stockings and dress, as well as a lovely little belly button! (´□｀●)

While the little peek at her belly button is lovely, the bare skin showing on the sides is also beautiful! She’s honestly not wearing an overly showy outfit, and yet it seems to be overflowing with sexiness… (ﾟＡﾟ;)

While her upper body has a very slim feel to it, her legs are a little more plump looking! It gives a nice sense of equilibrium! Girls definitely need a bit of meat to them!!

Also… Takao is posed sitting on a gun turret… but I wonder…

(・∀・) “She isn’t permanently attached to the gun turret! The final product will connect the stand and figure together with a powerful magnet!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Uchitarou from Phat! Company!

(・∀・) “We didn’t want to add any unnecessary tabs to the figure or the stand, so we decided to go with magnets to hold them together!”

Which means you can pose her sitting in areas other than the gun turret!

(・∀・) “Yep! You will need to find a specific area which suits her size of course, but you can easily enjoy displaying her without the included stand!”

Although that said, the paintwork and sculpting of the stand is also quite a highlight… it might be hard to separate the two! Be sure to take a nice close look if you choose to pick her up! ♪

Nendoroid Honoka Kousaka

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I start my morning every day with some delicious sweet breads! The sugary goodness gives me the energy I need to get me through the day!

Anyway, today I’ll be taking a look at a Nendoroid who had her birthday yesterday! ♫

Nendoroid Honoka Kousaka! ♡

From the popular anime series ‘Love Live!’ comes a Nendoroid of the bright and cheerful leader of μ’s who always has a smile on her face, Honoka Kousaka! She has been sculpted wearing her outfit used in the song ‘Bokura wa Ima no Naka de’.

Honoka comes with two different smiling expressions, one with a gentle smile on her face and another filled with energy! She also comes with a variety of different parts that make all sorts of poses from the opening theme of the first series possible in Nendoroid size. Be sure to display her with the previously announced Nendoroid Nico Yazawa, as well as the other members of μ’s who are scheduled to follow shortly!

Oooooooooohhhh!!! （*´▽｀*）

The founding member of μ’s who inspires the others with her cheerful personality! Honoka-chan is joining the Nendoroids! ♥

The photo above is of course the pose she takes just before breaking into song during the first season’s opening theme! All the frills, ribbons and heart shapes on her outfit are all beautifully detailed!

The ribbon on her chest is a lovely golden yellow and orange, Honoka’s image color! If you look up close you’ll notice the back choker around her neck is also faithfully included! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The heart-shaped holes on her gloves also look great!

The frills upon frills all over her outfit look great – this kind of design is really the epitome of idol outfits! It’s so cute! ♥

Also, although she is wearing a similar outfit to the previously announced Nendoroid Nico Yazawa, there have been all sorts of little changes to match her character! ( -ﾉｪ-)

Let’s take a closer look at her expression parts!♪

Along with the gentle smile I’ve been using up until now, she also comes with a more energetic smile, ready to pass on her cheerful side to everyone!

Just look how happy she is!! Apparently the expression parts for Honoka all have a special little reason for being included by the figure’s planner… so let’s see what she has to say about them!

(・∀・) “The gentle smiling expression was based on the smile seen in the Story Mode of the smartphone game ‘Love Live! School Idol Festival’! I’m sure that whether you’re a fan of the game or the anime, it’s definitely a figure that captures her personality nicely! It’s the kind of smile that makes anyone who sees her feel happy inside!”

The gentle expression also has a bit more of a mature feeling to it compared to the other smile…

(ｴ・д・) “From the second season onward Honoka has a bit more of a composed air to her, I think this expression captures that side of her too!”

\ Expression Painter: Eco-shi! /

Eco-shi is a huge Love Live fan and also responsible for the expressions of the 1/8th scale Honoka Kousaka and Nendoroid Nico Yazawa!! ☆

(ｴ・д・) “While the main inspiration was from the game, we also took the expression from season two, where Honoka speaks with Hanayo-chan and Rin-chan, into consideration!

The confidence in her expression shows how much Honoka-chan is a pillar for the other members of μ’s!

(ｴ・д・) “We really wanted to capture Honoka through her expressions! I think it came out really well!”

(浜・∀・) “Speaking of capturing Honoka… this smile just beams with her cheerful personality!”

(浜・∀・) “This cheerful smile could easily be considered one of Honoka-chan’s biggest charms! While it’s also a smiling expression, the feeling to it is rather different to the gentle smile!”

Hey! I know this pose! It’s the ‘Susumeru darou ♪” part of the song!

(浜・∀・) “Yep! There are all sorts of poses from the opening theme that you can recreate, just like with Nico-chan! For example…”

(浜・∀・) “At the moment, Umi-chan and Kotori-chan are still only illustrations, but once the Nendoroids are released you’ll be able to recreate everything you see here with the figures!”

(浜・∀・) “The other members are all in the production line! Just give us a little time and they’ll be ready to join Honoka and Nico-chan!!

I want Honoka-chan to be there to inspire me every day! She might be rather small as a Nendoroid, but the cheerful power is just as powerful as ever! ♥

I heard you were a big fan of the character which led to that! Was there anything about her sculpting that made difficult to achieve your vision for her?

( ｲ・ω・) “There was! I really love Honoka-chan and wanted to make her as perfect as possible… so after quite a way into the sculpting I got a little uneasy and wondered whether my work was good enough for her – but in the end I spoke with some of the other members of the production team, got some great advice and was able to create something that both myself, and I think any fans of the series will be glad to own! She’s really filled with all my own love for the character, and I hope that will allow her charm to reach all the fans out there!”

Super Sonico: Tiger Hoodie Ver.

Somehow we’re already in August this year! I can hardly believe how time has flown by… This month is filled with events including Comike, CharaHobby and Anisama!

Anyway, today I’ll be taking a look at a figure already up for preorder…
Super Sonico: Tiger Hoodie Ver. ♡

Super Sonico is here once again, wearing her classic tiger hoodie! The 1/8th scale figure is sculpted in a lovely dynamic pose, skipping along with her guitar case on her back! Her adorable smile is ready to capture your heart and never let go again!

Sonico-chan!!! （*´▽｀*）

She is wearing her adorable hoodie complete with a tail and ears in a 1/8th scale! Those of you who own Nendoroid Super Sonico : Tiger Hoodie Ver. will notice it’s the same outfit, just in 1/8th scale size! The giant pom-poms hanging all over and the fluffy rim of the hood all look so soft and squishy!!

But perhaps more important than the outfit…
Is the careful work done on her body!!♥

It wouldn’t be Sonico if it wasn’t for impressive bust!!
Just look at how they push the T-shirt upward!

Taking the words from Otanaka-shi of GSC’s planning team…
“You could shelter from the rain under those boobs…”

Her voluptuous body has been sculpted faithfully to the original design!

Let’s take a look how she looks from behind! ♪

Even the stitching on the guitar case has been carefully added to the sculpt! The sheepskin boots have also been made to look all soft to the touch!

My personal highlight from the back is this part! (｀・ω・´)

Behind the Knees!! ♪

Her legs are beautiful, simply beautiful!
This low angle also gives a nice look at her plump thighs!

Her expression is also not to be missed!

How could anyone not crack a smile while looking at this adorable face… ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

The more intricate little creases on her clothes are also amazingly done!

Another somewhat important thing to mention, is that I’m not taking photos of a prototype here! This is a complete PVC sample!

Most of the products I review on the blog are painted prototypes, whereas this is an actual product sample! What this means is that it is exactly the same as the final product that will reach everyone who orders her!

That said – obviously we always strive to keep the same level of quality between the prototype and final versions! There are however sometimes slight difference due to the materials used!

This product has already gone through all those changes, and still is unbelievable quality! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Be sure to take a nice close look when your own Sonico gets delivered!
