Today I’ll be taking a look at AQUAMARINE’s…

Nendoroid Ultraman Suit

We are Ultraman.

From the popular airing series “Ultraman” comes a Nendoroid of the Ultraman Suit donned by the protagonist Shinjiro Hayata! The Nendoroid is fully articulated, allowing you to recreate all kinds of acrobatic poses from the series.

The Nendoroid has been created using highly detailed metallic paintwork, giving it a cool mecha-esque appearance. Specium Ray effect parts, the Specium Blade and Ultra Slash effect parts are all included and feature the use of translucent parts, allowing you to recreate even more of your favorite scenes from the series. An additional chest part for posing, interchangeable hand parts and an unmasked head part are included for even more display options. Enjoy recreating the world of “Ultraman”!

“The Flash” Asuna (Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale)

I need a new umbrella. The nice big one I’ve been using for ages has finally passed away…（´・ω・`）.;:…（´・ω…:.;::..（´・;::: .:.;:

But anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at AQUAMARINE’s…
“The Flash” Asuna!★

From “Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale” comes a figure of “The Flash” Asuna! Her long chestnut hair and Knights of the Blood uniform have been sculpted fluttering around as she jumps forward with a beautiful trust of her rapier, Lambent Light. The figure has been sculpted by Satoshi Toda who is well known for sculpts with a dignified look.

The dynamic look of her hair and outfit as they flutter about combined with the intricately detailed accessories, armor and rapier combine together to capture Asuna in perfect harmony. The blade of Lambent Light is made with translucent parts and then painted over to capture the glowing effect when she used sword skills. Be sure to add the strong-willed sub-leader of the Knights of Blood to your collection!

“We’ll be together when we go back home.”

From “Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale” comes a figure of the character known for her speedy rapier techniques- Asuna! She has been sculpted wearing her Knights of the Blood uniform!

The figure captures Asuna in the moment that she lunges with her rapier, with her beautiful long hair and outfit sculpted in beautiful detail as they trail behind her!

The flow of the hair looks particularly effective when you match the angle to her gaze!

The whole figure has such a powerful aura about it! It really captures the moment of her lunge in lovely detail! ヽ(*´∀｀)ノ

Let us also take note of her outfit! ♪

Not only does the figure feature a very dynamic sculpt, the details of her outfit and accessories are also so very intricate! The harder parts like her armor and the softer parts like the fabric parts of her outfit have had their textures separated very effectively through the paintwork! (・∀・)!!

The creases around her hips are also fantastic!

The way the outfit clings to her so tightly allows you to easily picture the curves of her body on the other side of her clothes!

In her hand she holds the rapier, “Lambient Light”! The blade has been carefully crafted to match the design in the series and even makes use of some semi-translucent parts to capture the glowing effect of the sword! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

Moving onto her facial expression…

That cute yet confident smile suits Asuna so perfectly!!

Gwendolyn: Winged Maiden Warrior (Valkyrie) from the epic RPG released by Altus and Vanillaware “Odin Sphere Leifthrasir”!
Daughter of Demon Lord Odin, king of the great northern land Ragnanival, and princess in her own right, this figure depicts Gwendolyn as a valkyrie flying over the battlefield.

Idol Emperor/Nero (Fate Series)

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at AQUAMARINE’s 1/7th scale…
Idol Emperor/Nero!

From the Fate series comes a scale figure of Idol Emperor/Nero! The idol group Imperial Roma was created as an April Fools joke in 2015, and this version of Nero was the idol and owner of the group, who has now been transformed into a highly detailed figure!

Her crimson dress is covered with rose accessories and she wears elegant pearls jewellery and high heels with ribbons attached to the back making for a gorgeous appearance. A fancy couch sofa is also included for her to sit upon for an even more elegant display! Be sure to add the emperor of the idols to your collection!

“I’ll perform myself!”

What was once just an April Fool’s joke has now been transformed into a lovely scale figure for fans to enjoy by their side!

The huge roses that adorn her dark red have all been captured with such amazing detail!!

Not to mention the frills…

From the back you can also see the dress reveals her lovely bare skin!

Mirai Kasuga -Million Spark!-

Hi everyone! Suwabe (@gsc_suwabe) from the Corporate Planning Division here! I often have dreams of sparking to a million!

Today I’ll be taking a look at…

AQUAMARINE’s…
Mirai Kasuga -Million Spark!-

From the popular idol production game ‘THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE!!’ comes a figure of Million Spark! Mirai Kasuga! She is posed with a microphone in hand and her right arm pointing up to the skies in an energetic pose that conveys the tension and elation of a live concert stage!

The glittering appearance of her carefully painted outfit has been preserved on the figure to recreate the sparkling appearance you’d expect of an idol on stage! The accessories such as the crown, belt and pendant have also all been faithfully included on the figure in lovely detail! Be sure to add the impressive Mirai to your stage!

She is so SHINY!
Her expression, outfit and even the smaller accessories… they’re all so SHINY!! ★☆★

Let’s start off with a quick spin!

The figure is posed capturing the decisive moment of a live performance where Mirai shouts out to her fans!! You get to experience being in her audience whenever you like with this figure in your collection!

You’ll be able to get a nice full look at her from the official product photos once she is up for preorder, so I’m instead going to look at the finer details!

– Crown –

This was definitely the first thing I noticed when I saw the figure in person! If you look close you can even see the ‘Million Spark Live!’ letters have been sculpted onto the design!

The thing that surprised me the most were the tiny little arches that make up the shape of the crown! You can even see the more hat-like part inside the golden arches, which really gives off a stylish, regal look!

– Pendant –

The little pendant that brings out her neckline!

I’m really not sure just how well you can tell from the photo, but the pendant is so elaborate… even the little red star in the middle has been faithfully included!

– SHINY and SPARKLY!-

One of my best parts about the figure is the paintwork on the outfit!

As one would expect from an idol shining on the stage, her outfit is filled with sparkly silver parts that complement the design so effectively!

The white areas are covered in little silver sequins while the red areas have no sparklies, but instead a more enamel texture. The red belt also has a slightly different texture to differentiate it from the rest of the outfit! (I’m sure this outfit is going to give the manufacturing team trouble though…!)

– SMOOTH and SILKY-

The top and soles of the boots are so smooth and silky!

As much as I wanted to slide my fingers on the shiny redness, I’m allowed to with the prototype… so I’ll have to wait for the final product just like everyone else!

The outfit also allows a nice look at her flank!
Personally my best part of the figure!! (｀･ω･´)

If you asked me what exactly I like about it I don’t think I could answer…. I just do! That’s what it means to like something!

The golden star buckle on her belt also really stands out and matches with the other golden parts of her outfit nicely! It’s always so much fun to see the figure version of an illustration – I notice so many more things!!

– Microphone –

You can’t be an idol without a microphone, and Mirai’s is included with lovely detail! You can just imagine her singing!!

Megumi Kato: Swimsuit style

Hi everyone! Suwabe (@gsc_suwabe) from the Corporate Planning Division here! Also someone who will never be able to wear a bikini for a number of reasons!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure that went up for preorder earlier today…

AQUAMARINE’s…
Megumi Kato: Swimsuit style!✿

From the anime series ‘Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend’ comes a figure of Megumi Kato wearing her swimsuit! She has been sculpted as if she has just finished getting changed and is checking how she looks in the mirror before heading out.

Her impressive body that is normally covered up by her school uniform is much more clear in the swimsuit, giving her a presence that is hard to ignore! The slight blush on her cheeks also adds to her innocent personality, creating a figure that is sure to get fan’s hearts racing with excitement!

Let’s first experience her at various angles in silence…

… I’m sure everyone had a pleasant experience.

Now let’s move onto my personal favorite points on the figure!

Point #1: Face!

It is often said that the facial expression is the heart of a figure. This is one of those figures that depending on the angle you look at the face gives off different impressions, but this is the angle that sits best with me! The way she is looking upward toward me just gets me heart racing…!!

The combination of the upward glance together with the delicate fingers brushing through her hair really brings out her cute expression! The slight blush on her cheeks and the halo of light in her hair have also been included to faithfully capture the original illustration!

Point #2: Lovely Long Legs!

Just look at those beautiful legs – slender and yet not too thin!
Those calves in particular… this is the definition of sex appeal!

Point #3: Bust!

Such a lovely view!! Thank you!! (ΦωΦ)

I’m normally more focused on the lower half of the body, but Megumi’s bust is just too eye-catching to not feature!! I don’t believe nor do I want to believe that this is a figure! They look too warm and soft to be plastic!

Point #4: Hips!

While the figure is a rather simple pose, it still puts emphasis in where the emphasis is needed! The soft and squishy feeling of her skin that can be seen from the hand she has in-between her thighs is also magnificent.

Point #5: Muscles!

As with any figure that shows a lot of skin, the attention to detail on where the muscles are and how they are moving is very important! From Megumi’s back, the slight gap at the top of her bikini to show off her bottom and all the way down her legs you can see where strength is being put into the muscles through the sculptwork!

I tried my best to show off my favorite points on the figure with a couple of photos, I hope I was able to get my feelings across! You really do need to see the actual figure with your own two eyes though! (ΦωΦ)

Hi everyone, Suwabe here!
The once-a-week Kahotan blogger from the Corporate Planning Team!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a product currently up for preorder…

Sagiri Izumi

From the popular Dengeki Bunko series with an anime on the way ‘Eromanga Sensei’ comes a scale figure of the main character’s younger sister, Sagiri Izumi! The figure is based on the cover illustration of the first light novel, and features Sagiri with her tablet in hand, carefully studying the source material in front of her.

The tightly closed mouth, soft-looking cheeks, loose hoodie and long bare legs have all been faithfully sculpted to ensure the world’s cutest little sister looks adorable in your collection!

I personally absolutely love those cute little ribbons in her hair! AQUAMARINE have really done an amazing job with capturing the character!! Thank you AQUAMARINE!!

From the Front!

There is something about the figure’s appearance and expression that somehow make Sagiri look not only super cute, but also have a somewhat sexy look! Personally I love the red shading on her knees!

From the Back!

The sculpting of the creases in her hoodie as well as the shadows that have carefully shaded on all over really make the paintwork stand out! You can also see that the curves of her body are captured quite nicely from the back! let’s take a closer look…

Wo-Wonderful!

I could stare at this for ages! You might also be wondering what is underneath that hoodie… but I’m afraid I can’t tell you! I didn’t look! I swear!

From the Right!

Even the pen she holds has been sculpted in such detail… and just look at the determination in those eyes!! The slightly pink areas on her ears also look so cute… I want to give her a hug!

From the Left!

The slight gradient of her hair has been faithfully transferred from the original illustration seen on the cover of the novel. Those cute ribbons that I mentioned above are also so adorably sculpted and the coloring makes them look like cute little candies!

From the Top!

She is holding a drawing tablet in her left arm… we can only imagine what she must be drawing with such deep concentration!

From the Bottom!

I wanted to take this photo from an even lower angle, but… you’ll have to bear with this until she joins your collection!

You can see she looks adorable no matter what angle you choose to look from!

I cannot hide my surprise that we are already in March! I need to get some amazake and get ready for the upcoming Hina Matsuri!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at AQUAMARINE‘s…

Charlotte E. Yeager: Bunny style!

A figure of Charlotte E. Yeager from ‘Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow’ based on the illustration by Fumikane Shimada included as a bonus with the Blu-ray and DVD of the movie.

Her impressive body is shown off by the sexy bunny girl outfit, showing exactly what she is known as ‘Glamorous Shirley’! You can also display her without the hat for a closer look at her expression – simply choose how you would prefer to see her! The third in the Strike Witches ‘Bunny style’ series is also currently in development – Lynne! Look forward to her!

The Glamorous Shirley!!

A 1/8th scale figure of the witch from the army of Liberion’s 363rd fighter squadron, Charlotte E. Yeager! All dressed up in lovely shiny bunny girl outfit… rather ideal for a character who had bunny ears to start with! The sexy outfit captures her curves beautifully…

Not to mention her impressive bosom! (/ω＼)

△ The tight clothes showing just how soft and squishy
they are make me want to feel them for myself!!

The tight bunny suit shows off her perfect proportions for all to enjoy, but at the same time she is posed covering her face up with her hat which is quite a change from her normally easygoing and carefree personality.♡

Her fluffy tail has also of course been included! (σ・∀・)σ

△ The slight twist in her hips as well as the
border between her thighs and bottom…!

Looking at her directly from the front causes the hat to cover up her expression, but from a slightly lower angle you get a perfect look into her eyes! Simply pick the pose that you think suits her best! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

△ The slightly embarrassed look is so cute! ♪

Fumikane Shimada’s gentle illustration style actually comes out in the figure really nicely! ♥

A look from the side is also super glamorous! (´□｀｡)

△ You can’t help but imagine how it would feel to touch them, can you?!
It’s hard to accept that the figure is hard when it looks so soft!

The figure also comes with alternate parts to display her without the hat! (●´ω｀●)

Not only is the hat removed, but an alternate hand part holding a card between her fingers is also included! ♪

While she was wearing the hat it seemed like a bit of an embarrassed expression, but somehow without the hat it looks more like a cunning, determined expression! (*´Д｀)=з

I always love scale figure that allow for a switch between two different poses like this! Be sure to add the adorable sexy bunny to your collection!! ♥︎

Saber/Souji Okita

Today’s Main Feature…!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at an item currently up for preorder…

Saber/Souji Okita!

A 1/7th scale figure of Sakura Saber – the character who originally appeared in ‘Koha-Ace’ serialized in KADOKAWA’s Comptiq magazine, and then went on to take part in a limited time event in Fate/Grand Order! She has been sculpted wearing the Coat of Oaths Noble Phantasm, showing her dressed just like her true name, Souji Okita! The figure is sculpted by Ken Kawanishi.

The characteristic blue-green coloring of the coat has been faithfully reproduced, and she holds her carefully detailed katana ‘Kiku-Ichimonji Norimune’ ready for combat, creating a figure that fans will be proud to own. Be sure to summon the confident solider of the Shinsengumi to your side!

Such a fearless and gallant appearance! A 1/7th scale figure of Sakura Saber in her ‘true’ form as Souji Okita!

While the figure is a rather simple pose, the feeling of movement of the wind blowing her coat and scarf creates a lovely dynamic element to the figure that is such a treat for the eyes! Plus while the clothes are blowing about in the wind the body looks rigid and ready for combat, creating a kind of tense element to the figure as well!

Let’s see how she looks from the back! ( ✧Д✧)!!

The creases in her outfit are perfect!

The flow of both the pale green haori coat as well as the white kimono she wears beneath it are sculpted so effectively that it’s almost hard to believe that they are not made from actual fabric! But while the clothes are amazing, let’s not let them take away from just how amazing the sculpting of Saber herself is!

Just look at the elegant fingers holding the sword! ♪

In her hands she is holding the sword ‘Kiku-Ichimonji Norimune’, but just look at the way her fingers curl around the sword, making her seem to be holding it with such nimble grace. The details of the grip and ornaments on the sword are also not to be missed! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Also take note of her lovely legs!

The curves of those soft white thighs as she stands on tip-toe…<○><○>

You can’t help but want to run your finger along them! At least I know I can’t! I can’t show it on the blog, but you can actually see even more of these lovely thighs from a lower angle!

Be sure to have a nice close look from all sorts of angles once she joins your collection! ₍₍ ◝(‘ω’◝) ⁾⁾ ₍₍ (◟’ω’)◟ ⁾⁾

Another thing that I have to mention is the detailed sculpting of her hair!

From the ribbon that ties up the hair down to each of the stands blowing in the wind… the sculpting matches with the entire figure very nicely! (/ω＼)

Such beauty and grace for a combat pose, but her expression captures the tension of the combat!

Such an imposing glare, showing strength though calm…

Add the confident Shinsengumi soldier to your collection!

Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition Winter 2016: Part 2

Today I will be continuing my coverage of the Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition Winter 2016! You can find the previous article in the series here!

What is the Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition?

The event is a special industry-only exhibition run by Good Smile Company which allows dealers and the media to get a close look at upcoming releases from various manufacturers. The event includes the most recent works of various different companies!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at some of Max Factory’s goodies as well as some other items that caught my attention from other companies!

A collaboration between the world-wide popular Mr.COLOR paint and DANBO!!! These will be released as capsule toys!!

I’m sure there was something for everyone at the event!
