1/4th Scale Fate Testarossa: Swimsuit ver.

011
She’s bigger than a 500ml bottle…?

In fact, she’s considerably bigger than this bottle!! She is easily big enough to be seen as a trophy or something! Today we’ll be taking a look at this adorable figure!
012
Gift’s:
Fate Testarossa: Swimsuit ver.!

From ‘Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st’ comes a cute figure of Fate Testarossa wearing a bikini. Be sure to display her with the previously released Nanoha Takamachi: Swimsuit ver. for double the cuteness!

She is an amazing 1/4th scale size!! (((゚Д゚)))

She is huge… absolutely gigantic!! The best thing about figures this size, is that you simply can’t ignore them – they have such an incredible presence! I’m sure any Fate-chan fans would be happy to grab this without hesitation!!
013
This is how she looks from the back!

Her bikini certainly leaves a lot of bare skin to enjoy! From the front her bikini looks mostly white, but on the back it has the same dark blue color as the pareo she is holding!
015
A lovely youthful body-line!

The figure really captures Fate’s youth perfectly – it has a nice childish charm but also a sexy charm to it!

The ribs and pelvis that you can just see on her slender body are amazing, and the way her swimsuit tightens around the skin at the edges looks wonderful – I almost can’t stop myself from touching it! (I can’t seen it’s the prototype!!)
016
A close-up of her thighs!

Hmm… this picture is almost too naughty for this blog. ^^;
014
Such an innocent facial expression!

Ooh! She has such a cute face!! Every time Gift releases a new figure in the swimsuit series, they get cuter and cuter!!
017
This area looks so soft! (σ゚∀゚)σ

It’s unbelievable how a figure can create the same soft-looking appeal of real skin!! Not to mention that Fate is 1/4th scale – she’s huge and it still looks great!! Fans can really enjoy her to their heart’s content!!
018
Detailed all the way down to her toes!

Even the small details such as her stylish anklet and pedicure look lovely! The sandals also match with her swimsuit nicely for a fully color-coordinated outfit!
019
Her pareo has a lovely hibiscus print!

The sculpting of the wavy appearance on the pareo must have made placing the prints on the pareo very difficult, but Gift has done a great job with it!

The design on the pareo has a fairly mature air to it, which contrasts quite nicely with the youthful Fate! (*´∀`*)

1/7th Scale Racing Miku: 2012 ver.

001
Hmm? That looks like a prototype!

But why would there be a prototype here at the sales department? It must be from a company other than Good Smile…

The bag looks rather big, so I guess the figure must be quite big too… let me take it to my desk and put it together!
002
FREEing’s:
Racing Miku 2012 ver.!

A dynamic figure of the official mascot of the 2012 GT Project , ‘Racing Miku 2012 ver.’! Her long twin-tails are fluttering by her sides as she stands on one leg while waving a flag, creating a really dynamic figure that looks as if it could jump to life at any second. Racing Miku is dressed up and ready for the racing circuit, and now you can enjoy having her by your side whenever you like!

You can’t really tell from this photo, but she is really big!! (((゚Д゚)))

You should get a better feeling for the size over the next few photos! She is 1/7th scale, so it’s really quite an impressive size!
003
This is how she looks from the back!

I normally try to fit the figure photos behind a single monitor, but I just couldn’t fit her in from the back! The twintails give her so much extra volume – each takes up about the same amount of space as Miku’s entire body!
004
Her beaming smile has been faithfully recreated!

The 2012 Racking Miku-san was designed and illustrated by GAN-san! The expression still has a bit of a childish charm to it, and also features a lovely gradient in the eyes! All this has been kept in the figure beautifully!
005
Her shiny costume is so pretty!

The glossy paintwork just adds to the whole cyber feeling of her outfit! Many parts of her outfit also make use of clear materials, including the see-through areas, the tie and her skirt!
006
Wonderful curves!!

Just look at the twist in her slender waist, or the upward fluttering skirt at the back! This is definitely my favorite area on this figure, and I think the photo came out really nicely too!!

The balance between the visible skin and covered skin is wonderful!
007
This angle had to be included! (*゚∀゚*)

If you’re like me, then I’m sure that your eyes can’t help but wander to her hip-line, but I also want to highlight her thighs!! You can see the difference in the level of her skin where the boots end, and if you look at the see-through areas you can see they are also bulge out a little!!

The different materials used in her outfit are shown off by amazing sculpting!!
008
Twisty-turney twin-tails!

One of Racing Miku’s most defining features has to be her hair, and as you can see they have been beautifully sculpted twisting all around! They keep the same light and airy feeling from the illustration!
010
Her body-line from the front!

Hmm… the area around her belly button is very cute!

As you can see, it’s not just her upper body that is curving around, these is a horizontal twist to her entire body as well – this is a great example of a truly life-like, dynamic pose!!
009
FREEing’s:
Racing Miku: 2012 ver.!

She’s up for preorder from today! (`・ω・´)
Get in contact with our partner shops if you have any preorder or sales queries!

Good Smile also has plans for a 1/8th scale Racing Miku, so fans can look forward to her too!

Anyway, that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again tomorrow!! (・∀・)ノ゛

Nendoroid Fujiwara no Mokou

Hello Mikatan Blog readers!

Mikatan is still away on a business trip to China, so today I’ll be taking over the blog. My name is Nutty and I work in the production team! It’s an honor to be here, although also a bit embarrassing…

Anyway, I’ve been feeling a little peckish, and something smells really good…
01
!!!?

It’s a cute girl holding some tasty-looking grilled chicken!!
And I’m sure many of you recognize her!

02
She’s from the popular shooting game series the ‘Touhou Project’; a cute character with long hair, a huge ribbon and baggy trousers:

Nendoroid Fujiwara no Mokou (Moko-tan!)

She’s a powerful user of fire magic, but she also has another amazing power – she cannot be killed even through aging – she’s completely immoral!

I managed to get hold of the prototype for the Nendoroid, so let’s take a quick look! As you can see, she’s wearing the outfit with baggy trousers seen in her original character designs!
03
I know I’m emphasizing the trousers quite a lot, but they’re so cute! I love outfits like this that have a different feeling to normal!

You can also pose her with hands in her pockets!
04
Moko-tan is so cute!! Seeing cute girls in boyish poses like this one is great!

You can also recreate the use of one of her spell cards, ”Immortal: Phoenix -Wing’s Rise-”!

These fiery effect parts are included to create the phoenix wings behind her…
05
If we look from the back, you can see the amount of detail on the wings!

06
The wings show off the cooler (or is that hotter?) side of the adorable Moko-tan, but she also comes with many more effect parts for other awesome poses!

A glaring expression and flame effects!
07
This expression is the selling point of Moko-tan! It captures her perfectly!! Combine the expression with the flame parts to create this mischievous looking pose!

But that’s still not all the effect parts, there are still more!

A sulking expression and different flame effects!

08
Here she is shooting flames from her hands, showing off her power as a fire mage! Combined with the sulking expression, she looks so amazing!!

Anyway, that covers all the effect parts… now I need to go get something to eat, like some grilled chick- hang on, there is still one part I haven’t shown properly yet! The one part that appeared at the very start of the blog…

Grilled chicken parts!

09

Moko-tan claims to run a health conscious grilled chicken shop, and here she is holding some of her wares! She looks very happy with them! (‘v’*)

It really does look so tasty… I wish I could try some together with her!!
10

Nendoroid Fujiwara no Mokou

She’ll be up for preorder from the 16th January!! (*´∇`*)

o(*^▽^*)o~♪

Get in contact with our partner shops if you have any preorder or sales queries!

Anyway, that’s all from me today!
See you all again sometime!! (*^▽^*)ノ”

The Bigger of the Fire Sisters: A 1/8th Scale Karen Araragi!!

Mikatan’s off on a business trip to China…

So once again I, Shuutarou Hirase from the planning team, will be taking over the blog!

The last time I was on the blog, I reviewed Nendoroid Kurisu & Mayuri : Cheerful Ver. It’s been quite awhile since then!

But what will I be taking a look at today…?

01

Two prototype cases next to construction machinery catalogs!

This must be one huge figure!! Let’s take a look!!

02

From Nisemonogatari:
Karen Araragi!

It’s the bigger of the twin sisters!!

This lovely figure of Karen-chan debuted at the previous 2012 Summer WonFes, but now she’s fully painted!

From the popular light novel and anime series ‘Nisemonogatari’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the girl who was stung by a bee, Karen Araragi!

The figure is based on the cover illustration used for the 1st volume of the Blu-ray & DVD: “”Karen Bee: Part 1”, which features Karen wearing her trademark yellow jersey. Even the huge road roller in the illustration a part of the figure, and the valiant pose has been faithfully reproduced in figure form – Karen truly looks like a ‘hero of justice’!

The road roller adds an incredible presence to the figure, but first I’m going to take a closer look at Karen-chan herself!

03

“I’m not playing around! I’m a hero of justice!”

The expression suits Karen-chan’s active personality nicely – the confidence in her eyes would put most men to shame! The teeth you can just see at the top of her mouth are also a very cute feature!

04

Her side ponytail blowing in the wind!

The unique kinks and twists in her hair have also been faithfully preserved in the figure! The way her hair is blowing about adds a really dynamic feeling to the figure!

She also has the egg-shaped hairpin that matches with her sister, Tsukihi-chan’s hairpin! The hair sticking up at the front (which has always been passed down in the Araragi family) also looks great on the figure!

Another great part of the figure…

05

Are the folded arms! (´ω`*)

Just look at the little gap it leaves around the nape of the neck! 😛

This figure is great at giving subtle glimpses like this!!

06

A beautiful S-shaped body-line from her back to her hips!

One of the most amazing things about this Karen-chan, is that even though she is wearing lots of clothes, you can still make out her body line clearly!

Even though the ends of the clothes are rather baggy, there are contrasting areas that are very tight which keep the shape of the body very clear!

07

More subtle glimpses!

Karen-chan is always exercising, and this little section gives us a teasing look at her shapely stomach! You can even see her belly button in the little gap between her tank top and stomach, it must have been very hard to sculpt that… it’s also very hard to photograph, but it’s there!!

Once you’ve picked her up for yourself, you can take a look for yourself! ^^

08

The hip area looks fantastic!!

As I said earlier, even though she is wearing fairly baggy clothes, you can still make out her body so nicely! It’s all thanks to the amazing sculptors that we can enjoy Karen like this!!

09

Karen’s beautiful long legs!

On New Year’s Eve last year Nekomonogatari aired, where we found out that each morning Karen jogs a full 42.195km marathon with ease! These legs are truly amazing for more than one reason!

You can also see her socks are clinging tightly to her legs, depressing the skin – which just goes to show how soft a girl’s legs are! (´ω`*)

10

Even more subtle glimpses!

The pants and her leg are made as separate parts in the sculpting process, so you can see her fit, shapely legs all the day down into the baggy shorts!

Anyway, now that we’ve taken a good look at Karen… we’ll move onto…

11

The Road Roller!

The figure is based on the cover illustration of the 1st volume of the Blu-ray & DVD: “Karen Bee: Part 1” included this impressive “road roller” which has made its way into the figure as Karen’s pedestal!

Definitely one of the most unique figure stands ever!

12

It has a really heavy look to it!

The indicators and headlights are both made from clear parts, and the detail put into the rest of the machine is incredible – from the hooks to hold up wires and other things to the bolts scattered throughout the design!

All the parts where two pieces of the roller connect together also have their edges painted a slightly darker color. It looks just like a real piece of heavy machinery!

13

The road roller has clearly been hard at work!

You can see by all the scratches and dents along the roller that it has been used on countless occasions. The step on the front is most likely a safety device, and even that has been sculpted so intricately!

I’ve shown the road roller all by itself here, but note that it’s still undecided how Karen will be joined up to the roller, so you may not be able to separate them completely like this in the final release. While we have them apart though…

Here we have Karen-chan’s back without the roller:

14

Ooh! She looks just like a super hero from this angle!!

The shape her body forms really is lovely! Just look at how her hips swing into it! The jersey blowing about has quite a different feeling when you look at it from the back – it gives the whole figure such a dynamic feeling, as if the wind really were blowing across her!

15
The reverse side of the roller is flat, for ease of display!

It was a a little too much to include an entire road roller, but the figure does include everything you could see on the original illustration. By making the back flat like this, you can easily put her on display up against a wall.

The road roller stand is easily one of the most stable pedestals ever, but if you put it up against a wall it’s even safer! The flat end also saves some space seen there are no extra pieces sticking out at the back!

02

From Nisemonogatari:
Karen Araragi!

She’ll be up for preorder from the 16th January! (`・ω・´)

Get in contact with our partner shops if you have any preorder or sales queries!

Anyway, that’s all for today! The next blog will be on the 15th of January, which is Tuesday next week. ‘Nutty’ from the production team will be writing that blog!

I hope to see you all again for another review sometime! Hasta la vista~

Kuroko Shirai & Mikoto Misaka: Bunny Ver.

Hello everyone! My name is Gou, I’ve been a part of Good Smile Company’s sales team for about a year now – I work in sales not only domestically, but also overseas! To those of you who already know me from the Newcomer’s Blog, I’m glad to see you all again!

Mikatan is going to be out for the next few days, so in her place I’ll be taking over the blog for today! I was told to put up anything I enjoy, so today I’ll be taking a look at some figures from a series that I really enjoyed, and can’t wait for the upcoming second season!
g01
From Toaru Kagaku no Railgun:
Kuroko Shirai: Bunny Ver. & Mikoto Misaka: Bunny Ver.

Not only is a second season of Railgun on the way, but we also have the Toaru Majutsu no Index Movie coming up in February! It’s clear the series is still as popular as ever, and FREEing has made these lovely figures for fans to enjoy, so today I’ll be taking a closer look at them – starting off with this one:
g02
Kuroko Shirai: Bunny Ver!

From ”Toaru Kagaku no Raingun’ comes a 1/4th scale figure of Kuroko Shirai, the Judgment member who attends Tokiwadai Middle School together with Mikoto Misaka. She is dressed up in a bunny girl outfit with tights made from real fabric, and her trademark twin-tails have been faithfully sculpted together with a sexy pose that really lets her to show off her body!

She comes with two different expressions – her standard expression, as well as a expression with a broad grin across her face, allowing you to choose which expression you prefer! Mikoto Misaka is scheduled to be joining her shortly, so you’ll be able to enjoy both the girls together!

The shiny black bunny girl outfit definitely suits her personality nicely! The sexy bunny suit also mixes nicely with her slender body-line and is quite a treat for fans!

And if we take a look at the back…

g03
We have a lovely bunny tail!!

That white ball of fluff really brings the outfit together, and the sexy pose shows off her thighs very nicely!

g04
She also comes with an alternate grinning expression!

Just by looking at this wonderful expression I expect to hear her shout out ‘Oneesama!’ at any second! Another thing to note is the twists and twirls in her hair – even at 1/4th scale they look great and add some nice volume to the huge figure!

But that’s not all for today, I’ll also be taking a look at the Ace of Tokiwadai – Mikoto Misaka!
g05
Mikoto Misaka: Bunny Ver.!

From ”Toaru Kagaku no Raingun’ comes a 1/4th scale figure of one of Academy City’s seven Level 5 espers, ‘Mikoto Misaka’, wearing a cute, white bunny girl outfit! Her net tights are made from real fabric for a realistic effect. The chair she sits on is also included, and allows you to display her sitting comfortably with one hand near her breasts in a slightly suggestive pose.

She comes with both her standard expression as well as an embarrassed expression, allowing you to decide how you’d rather see her! Be sure to display her together with the previously announced Kuroko Shirai: Bunny Ver.!

Mikoto-chan has a white bunny suit and red ribbon which make her look absolutely adorable! The colors also contrast very nicely with Kuroko, which means displaying them together looks amazing!! The slightly embarrassed look on her face is also lovely!

And if we spin her around to the back…
g06
Just look at all the soft skin the bunny suit leaves open to enjoy!!

g07
She comes with an embarrassed expression!

Mikoto is best known for her more vigorous side, but seeing her with a slightly worried, embarrassed expression makes her look so innocent!
Hmm… it seems Nagaizumi-san, the head of the sales team has brought some boxes…

“Don’t you want to add some photos of the prototypes to the review?”

g08
The prototypes are here!!!

FREEing had both of them ready for us to borrow for this blog post! I’ll be sure to put them to good use for my review now, so that we’ve got a nice review before they’re sent off to China!

Alright, let’s take another look, but this time through my very own pictures!

I’ll start off with Mikoto Misaka!
g09

This photo shows the way her shoulders are slightly bent over, and also shows the curled finger she is idly waving around.

It’s nice how the positioning of the finger and hand manage to show she isn’t all that comfortable – I guess she isn’t exactly used to wearing an outfit like this! Be sure to take a closer look if you decide to pick her up!
g10

The net tights have been on a number of FREEing’s figures in the past, but I think this is the first time we’ve seen garter belts!

The cute frills that end the stockings suit Mikoto’s love for cute clothes, not that she’ll ever admit it! The detail on the frills as well as the net tights are both so impressive!
g11

You can even see the way the tight garter belt is pressing against her skin… FREEing puts so much work into perfecting these outfits!

Mikoto is quite well known to wear shorts under her skirt, but this outfit actually lets us get a peek at what she is hiding under those shorts! This area will definitely catch a lot of fans attention, particularly when compared to figures of her in her school uniform.

Next up we have Kuroko Shirai!
g12

The sculpting of her hair looks so soft, and the slight bends in the twintails look great. The soft, airy hair actually contrasts against the tight bunny girl outfit very nicely!
g13

Her stomach area looks very tight from the shiny outfit – seeing this makes me wish I was a member of Judgement myself! The whole shape of her body from the one arm brushing through her hair down to these lovely curves is absolutely beautiful!
g01

From Toaru Kagaku no Railgun:
Kuroko Shirai: Bunny Ver. & Mikoto Misaka: Bunny Ver.!

They are both currently up for preorder! °+(*´∀`)b°+°

Having both of them displayed together in 1/4th scale really is gorgeous! The contrast in colors as well as in the difference between the confident Kuroko and the embarrassed Mikoto is simple wonderful, and I’m sure that fans will enjoy both of them! (*´д`*)

Get in contact with our partner shops if you have any preorder or sales queries!

Anyway, that’s all for today!
Perhaps we’ll meet at events or exhibitions sometime!

Chan Shuu from the planning team will be taking over the blog tomorrow!

Something a Little Different: Reviewing Kagamimochi! (This has Nothing to do with Figures!)

I made a tweet the other day…
“Should Wednesday’s blog be a continuation of the expression drawing, or a rice cake review?”
010
Why are rice cakes so popular?!

I suppose I understand the reason quite well myself… they’re so delicious! I got so many for New Year’s myself!

The most specific rice cake or ‘mochi’ related to the New Year is ‘kagamimochi’, so today I’ll be doing a review of one of those for fun! Those who wanted the expression series to continue, don’t worry – I’ll be getting to it soon!!

Alright, let me go find some kagamimochi!

… I asked around a bit, only to find out from Seki-sama that GSC doesn’t actually have any kagamimochi!

W-What?!

But if I don’t have any how can I do my review! 🙁

At first I thought maybe I could still run out and buy some at a convenience store or something to grab one… Seki-sama even called Tokyo Solamachi for me to ask if they still had any in stock… but unfortunately they were all sold out!

Sorry Seki-sama!! I promise I won’t take any more of your precious time!!
011
The Nitroplus Offices!

The floor above the GSC offices is Nitroplus’ offices! It looks so fancy here… plus, I think I can see a kagamimochi sitting right there by the entrance!

I can only imagine how strange it must have sounded when I asked to borrow it, but the Nitroplus staff were strangely understanding and said I was welcome to! It’s so lovely to work around such kind people!!

A big thank you to the Nitroplus staff!!
001
Kagamimochi!!

Kagamimochi are sets of two round, flat rice cakes, in which a smaller one is placed on top of a larger one. They are put on display during the new year as an offering to the gods, more specifically to the God of Grains, ‘Toshigami’.

‘Kagami’ means mirror, while ‘mochi’ means rice cake. The name ‘Kagamimochi’ originated from the fact that the shape resembled an old-fashioned kind of round copper mirror, which was used in religious ceremonies. It is said that the shape was taken from one of the three sacred treasures, ‘Yata no Kagami’ or ‘The Eight-Span Mirror’.

It really is an impressive offering! It’s gorgeous!!

Not to mention this particular one is a Madoka special! As expected of Nitroplus!!! (This was apparently a product sold by Brain POLICE Light.)

It almost feels bad to unwrap it all and not just review it as it is, but today’s review is of the rice cake itself – so I’ll just have to take off all the decorations carefully!
002
All unwrapped!

It was hard to get a good look at the shape while all the decorations were still on, but now you can see lovely balance of the actual thing!

Kagamimochi is all about getting a good balance of the two round rice cakes as they are placed on top of each other!
003
This is how the other side looks!

It’s practically identical to the front!! Σ(゚Д゚)

It’s quite hard to see from these photos, but you can quite easily tell which side is the front by looking at the letters on the sheet at the bottom.
004
The mandarin at the top can be removed!

Traditionally the mandarin is supposed to be displayed on top of the Kagamimochi, but on this one you can move it around wherever you please! The mandarin isn’t actually real, it’s just made from plastic, so it won’t go off!

It’s definitely a product that Kagamimochi fans will consider amazing quality! (this feels just like a figure review!)
005
A picture from a low angle!

The lower layer is definitely gives the whole thing a nice sense of stability. If you put a shadow across it like this, it feels a lot more like an offering!
006
The narrow connecting section!

This is definitely the sexiest curve on this Kagamimochi! All these photos actually still have a transparent plastic cover over the actual rice cake part… it’s like it’s still wearing it’s clothes!
007
So smooth and shiny!!

Take a good long look at this picture… what do you see?

Don’t you think it looks a bit like a girl’s body?
Maybe it’s just my mind being weird… 😛
008
It also comes with a small offering stand!

The actual Japanese name of the stand is a ‘Sanpou’, which is the kind of stand you put the Kagamimochi offering on! There are three holes on three sides of the stand, while the forth remains closed! It really gives it a much more gorgeous feeling suited to New Years to have it displayed up on here!
009
Kagamimochi!!

These are traditionally opened on the 11th January!

Get in contact with a Japanese supermarket, or other food stores if you have any preorder or sales queries! 😛

But that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again tomorrow!! (・∀・)ノ゛

… is what I’d normally say, but today that isn’t the case!

I’ll be off on a business trip to China for the next three days!

I don’t want everyone to wait for prototype reviews, so in that time, I have three people to take over the blog for me and show off some lovely figures!
They are Gou from the sales team, Shuu-chan from the planning team and Nutty from the production team!

I’m sure they’ll provide a slightly different viewpoint for the reviews compared to me, so they should be quite an interesting read! I hope everyone will take a look!

I will actually be stealing the GSC Newcomer’s blog for the days I’m away for some reports from China, so if you’re interested, you can read up about China over here – they’ll only be in Japanese though, sorry!

GSC Newcomer’s Blog
http://ameblo.jp/blog-shinsotsu2012/

Anyways, I hope to see you all on the Newcomer’s blog over the next few days, or instead next week back on this blog!

Gou-kun… I leave the blog in your hands now!! (・∀・)ノ゛

001

Th Winter Wonder Festival is coming up fast – it will take place on the 10th February at the Makuhari Messe! Today I’m going to be taking an early look at one of the GSC products you’ll be able to grab at the event!!

There are so many interesting products to look at so early in the year! Yesterday we had the lovely Append Rin and Len, and today we have a lovely set of Nendoroid Petites!
002
Nendoroid Petite: IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls –

The set also includes a huge stage pedestal which can be put together in a number of different ways, to truly recreate the LIVE Battles from the game! Not only can you change the positions of the stage objects, you can also place up to five different idols on the stage!

The stage is included with the set!!

This also means it is the perfect addition to the Nendoroid Petite: IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls – Stage 01 currently up for preorder!

It’s amazing how much comes with the Nendo set! You could the very same team you’re using in the game and place them on stage for everyone to see! Otanaka was in charge of these products, and you can really see his love for the IDOLM@STER series!

008
Meeting up in front of the stage!! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

These are the prototypes, which is why they are still standing on the transparent circle stands you see here, but the actual product will have a stand to connect into their backs like any other Nendoroid Petites!

The WonFes limited edition Nendoroids are in their S Rare + Outfits!

In other words, the outfits are based on the most powerful cards that feature the rarest outfits! They are such lovely outfits too!
009
In comparison, if we go back and look at the previously announced Nendoroid Petite: IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls – Stage 01, the outfits were all based on either the Normal or Rare cards!

I’m sure all the players of the game will know most of these outfits quite well by now, but you really need to see them with your own eyes and touch them yourself to see just how amazing they are!

The Stage 01 set is currently up for preorder, so don’t miss out!
003
This is how they look from the back!

The reverse of the characters isn’t something you ever really get to see in the game, so the figures actually give you a whole new side to enjoy!

Of course you can also look from absolutely any other angle you please – the wonders of the figure world!!
005
The Passion Type: Rika Jougasaki!

Rika is mai waifu!! You have no idea how much I’ve played the game trying to get more outfits for her!! 😛

Rika-tan is also known as the ‘Charismatic Chibi Gal’, she’s a rather short girl who loves the ‘gal’ subculture! Isn’t she adorable!!
006
The Cool Type: Kaede Takagaki!

She is wearing a beautiful, clean white dress! She also has a little bird landing on her hand which really suits her title, ‘The Goddess of Mystery’!!

On the original illustration you really can’t help but notice her lovely thighs, and even on the Nendoroid they are very noticeable – you can see her lovely smooth skin all the way down to her feet! The lovable character looks just as delicious as ever! (Although I don’t recommend eating her.)
007The Cute Type: Anzu Futaba!

If you take the S-Rare version of Anzu and give her paired training, you’ll end up with this costume! Anzu’s title in the game is ‘The Lazy Fairy’, and this cute expression really gives off the feeling that she doesn’t want to work… but that’s exactly what makes her character! I love the forced smile on her face!

I’m actually a Passion Type player myself, but I couldn’t help but add Anzu to my own line-up… she’s just that cute! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

The stage pedestal is incredible!!

Can you guess what all the holes on the floor are for? Each of the holes is a different place you can use to put the idols on display! (Although for the prototype, each of the girls is being held with some brass wire instead of the normal clear plastic stands)

With this many different holes, you can place the girls almost anywhere you like on the stage!

Some of you might be thinking there are way too many… but there are more than just Nendoroids to place!

The stage also comes with a number of little parts such as lights, speakers and pillars – these use the same holes so you can choose where they are placed as well!! Σ(・∀・)

This really puts you in the producer’s seat – you can choose exactly how the stage looks and where the idols should stand!!

Nendoroid Kagamine Rin: Append & Kagamine Len: Append

2013 has arrived!

あ

Happy New Year!!

A quick picture of the first morning meeting of GSC and Max Factory! It’s time to get back to work for the New Year, especially with Wonder Festival coming up in just one month!

We’re starting 2013 off in full throttle, and the blog is also ready to bring some lovely figures and event information to everyone! I hope we’ll be able to keep up with everyone’s expectations this year and I hope everyone will enjoy the blog once again this year!

The first review for 2013 will be these twins!
001
Nendoroid Kagamine Rin: Append

The slightly more mature looking ‘Append’ version of Kagamine Rin is joining the Nendoroids! She comes with three different expressions including a cheerful smiling face, a winking face to display her happily singing along to some songs and even a pleading expression allowing you to pose her trying to get something from Len!

Nendoroid Kagamine Len: Append

The slightly more modern looking ‘Append’ version of Kagamine Len is joining the Nendoroids! He comes with three different expressions including a cheerful smiling face, a winking face to display him happily singing along to some songs and even a serious expression to show off his cooler side!

They’ll both be available at the same time!! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

They won’t be sold as a set, but you can grab them both at the same time to display the twins together! There is even a special part included to pose them together, which I’ll show at the end of the blog!

002
This is how they look from the back!

The sculpting is so detailed and the paintwork is very intricate! You can see a lot of work has gone into these two!!

Even replaceable parts like the arms and legs have such amazing gradient paintwork – it’s a lot of hard work to put so much detail on such small parts! The speakers on their feet are also so tiny… I imagine once these get into mass production they are going to need to go through a huge number of different processes to be made…

But the detail definitely doesn’t go to waste – they are the perfect Nendoroid renditions of the original Append illustrations!
003
Pointing forward with confidence!

This pose and angle really shows off Len’s handsome side! This face actually gives him a bit of a mischievous look, but I get the feeling it’ll be quite popular with the girls!

He also comes with a bent left arm and leg to create this pose!
004
Rin’s cute begging expression!

This face is just unfair! It’s too much for me to handle this early in the year! If Rin asked me to do something with this expression I would never be able to refuse – she’s just too adorable!

This pose also makes use of two bent arms and a bent left leg!
005
Holding hands while winking!

They are winking with alternate eyes to create a symmetrical pose – perfect for twins! They also each come with a respective arm to hold out to the side!
006
A background board is also included!

I’m always worried about too much mess behind my photos when I’m taking pictures of figures, so I really like these background boards! They are made to look like the background of the Append packaging, and they can be placed in the stands to create a nice backdrop. (You can also remove them!)

There is a gap for the arm to come out, so it won’t cause any problems while posing. The boards are still being altered and are not final at the moment, so they might still change a little for the final release – but it is definitely a part that I’m looking forward to. Both Rin and Len come with their own background!
007
A double arm to display them together!

A special arm that allows you to display them both on a single stand is also included! Isn’t it lovely! Yuri-chan came up with the excellent idea!
008
The arm is separated into two at the end, and easily connects into both of their backs!

It creates such a unique way to display them! It’s always nice to display characters from the same series together like this!

In this case I’ve tried to recreate the image illustration which featured them holding hands while back-to-back. The way they seem to be floating up in the air also suits the Vocaloid series very nicely!
