A Look at Some of the WonFes Summer 2017 Products: Part 2

ONLY 12 WORKING DAYS TO WONFES!

It might still be three weeks until WonFes, but looking at just the amount of working days left makes you realize how very close that is! There isn’t much time left to prepare!!

Today I’m going to be going the continuation of the Suwabe’s last blog and take a look at some of the items that will be on sale at Wonder Festival 2017 Summer!Today I’ll be focusing on these three items! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ三ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

Let’s take a closer look at each of them! ♪

◆ Nendoroid Reimu Hakurei 2.0 ◆

From the popular game series by Team Shanghai Alice, the ‘Touhou Project’ comes an all-new upgraded Nendoroid of Reimu Hakurei! She comes with three face plates including a cheerful standard expression, a more serious expression for combat scenes as well as a cute, relaxed expression.

Reimu comes complete with her prayer rod and charm cards allowing you to pose her in battle scenes from the series, as well as a cup of tea, a donation box and kneeling parts to display her more relaxed side. Enjoy all sorts of different sides of Reimu in your collection!

The priestess of Hakurei Shine is back in an upgraded version!

This time she comes with a large set of optional parts too!

The Japanese-style umbrella can be held in her hand like so! A part of her hair has been specially made removable to make sure the handle doesn’t get in the way of posing! ★

The little gap in her outfit that shows off her belly button has been sculpted with a little billow as if the wind is blowing along it! (・∀・)

The tied-up part of her hair is fitted with a Nendoroid joint allowing you to match the hair up with various different poses!

The yin-yang round base is included as a bonus with purchases of Nendoroid Reimu 2.0 made at events! More details available here!

As you can see she comes with various different face plates to enjoy all sorts of different sides of her personality! Here is a more combat orientated pose! ♡

◆ Nendoroid Yuri Katsuki: Free Skating Ver. ◆

From the popular anime series ‘YURI!!! on ICE’ comes a figure of Japan’s figure skating athlete Yuri Katsuki wearing his free skating “Yuri on Ice” outfit from the series! He comes with two face plates including a standard gentle expression as well as a charming smile.

Yuri has fully articulated arm parts, and the iconic stuffed toy shaped like a rice ball that was thrown down into the rink is also included to help you fully reproduce his skating performance in Nendoroid size! He also comes with new arm parts for use on Nendoroid Victor Nikiforov as well as a Makkachin tissue box case! Accessories are as you can see below! He also comes with a special part for use together with Nendoroid Victor Nikiforov!

Along with the gentle standard smile, he also comes with an cute smile with a slight blush and closed eyes! (´□｀｡)

The riceball-shaped plushie can be held in his hands like so!! So cute!! The Makkachin tissue box case can also be held by making use of the same hand parts! ♥

Another thing to note is that there is actually a tissue coming out of the Makkachin tissue box case!

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get my hands on a Nendoroid Victor for this blog, but he will be on sale later next month, so be sure to display him with the tissue box too!! You can find a photo of this over on the GSC product page here!

◆ Wonda-chan Next Door Project FILE04: DANGERDROP Ver. ◆

The ideal WonFes souvenir!

As usual the amount of detail on the little figure is absolutely stunning! Just look at the intricate high-pressure water cannon! ★

For anyone unfamiliar with the Wonda-chan NEXT DOOR Project, here is a quick summary of the project!

The illustrations of Wonda-chan used on the official WonFes guidebook are always done by a different illustrator for each event, and for the past few events a ‘NEXT DOOR’ Wonda-chan illustration – a second illustration that is done by an up-and-coming illustrator – has been done together with the main Wonda-chan! This secondary Wonda-chan is then made into a figure, creating the perfect souvenir for each Wonder Festival event! Good Smile Company takes part as the manufacturer for the figure!

Nendoroid Morgana (Persona 5)

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the highly anticipated…
Nendoroid Morgana!

From the popular game “Persona 5” comes a Nendoroid of the Phantom Thieves’ feline mascot, Morgana! His unique design has been captured in Nendoroid size as faithfully as possible, and his eye and mouth parts are separately interchangeable and each come with four different options for a total of sixteen different combinations. You can enjoy everything from his cuter side to combat scenes all with the single figure!

The lower body of the Nendoroid not only captures Morgana’s design faithfully, but also includes a joint covered with flexible parts to completely cover up the joint for a seamless appearance that can still easily be moved around. Optional accessories include a slingshot and saber to recreate battle scenes, as well as parts to pose him in the finish pose of his “All-Out Attack” illustration. Enjoy all sorts of different sides of Morgana in your collection!

“Don’t call me a cat! I am Morgana.”

From ATLUS’s popular RPG game “Persona 5” comes an adorable Nendoroid of the strange, cat-like creature that the protagonist and Ryuji saved from a Palace in the Metaverse – Morgana!

Due to his unique shape, the design differs quite a lot to standard Nendoroids! Morgana comes with separate eye parts and mouth parts that can be used in any combination!

There are a total of four of each, meaning there are 16 different expressions to enjoy!

You can just imagine some of the combinations, for instance this rather iconic expression from the start of his “All-Out Attack”!

Or instead some original creations to create your very own Morgana!

The photos you see here are a painted prototype, but the prototype is in fact not quite complete just yet! The final version will include a joint in the lower body that will be covered up with a flexible ‘skin’ that will keep it looking seamless and natural while still allowing for all sorts of different nuances when posing!! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ三ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

It’s so nice to know he’ll keep his round looking form yet also be able to posed in various ways! The yellow scarf around his neck also has a joint included at the tied-up part allowing you to alter the angle to best suit your poses! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Anyway, let’s take a look at the other parts he comes with! ☆

In other words he comes with both a long and short-ranged weapon to choose from!

They can of course be used to pose him based on the combat scenes in the game, but can also be used for original poses as well! ★

Last but not least he comes with one more rather special part!

He comes with both a chair and a cigar in order to recreate the final pose at the end of the “All-Out Attack” scene from the game! An alternate sitting body us also included to easily place him in the sitting pose! ♪

Nendoroid Yoshino Koharu (Sakura Quest)

Hello everyone!! Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I always get excited when someone gives me onsen manjuu as a souvenir! It’s one of this things that is really delicious, but you can’t just buy on a daily basis, making it one of the best gifts!

Anyway, today I’m going to take a look…
Nendoroid Yoshino Koharu!

From the anime series “Sakura Quest” comes a Nendoroid of the girl who serves as the “King” of the Chupakabura Kingdom – Yoshino Koharu! She comes with three face plates including a cheerful smile, a surprised expression as well as a cute chewing expression for when she fills her mouth with manjuu steamed buns.

Optional parts include a cape, crown and scepter, as well as the “sword in the stone” which can also be removed from the stone and held by Yoshino. One of the famous Chupakabura manjuu steamed buns is also included for her to enjoy – a huge selection of parts to bring out Yoshino’s personality and recreate your favorite scenes from the series! Be sure to add her to your collection!

“Please don’t call me normal!”

From the third in P.A WORKS’ “Working” series, Sakura Quest comes a Nendoroid of the “King” of the Chupakabura Kingdom – Nendoroid Yoshino Koharu!

Her lovely crown and the cape with a lovely white fluffy collar have both been included, and she also comes with her scepter to complete her regal appearance as the king!

▲ Even in Nendoroid size the crown looks very detailed and fancy! ♪

Along with her standard cheerful smiling face, she also comes with a surprised expression as well as a holy sword in a stone!

▲ This expression can be used for all sorts of things!

As you can see from the above photo, the crown and cape can also be removed for a more casual looking Yoshino! (´□｀｡)

The sword can also be removed and equipped by the Nendoroid!

▲ Even holding a sword, the smile makes her look so cute and innocent!

Anyway, moving on to her third face plate… a chewing face! (๑´ㅂ`๑)

The cheeks puffed up with food are so cute! The right side is actually sculpted sticking out a bit to show just how much manjuu she has eaten! She also comes with a Chupakabura manjuu steamed bun to hold as well!! ♥

The image on the front may look like an unidentified creature, but as we all know it is super delicious! ((´д`●))三((●´д`))

If you don’t think of her as eating, the chewing expression can also be used as a content smile… or even a bit of a scheming face depending on how you display her!

Nendoroid Wakatoshi Ushijima (Haikyu!)

We’re now into July and the heat is already starting to become unbearable! I hope everyone is taking care during these hotter months!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Wakatoshi Ushijima!

From the popular volleyball manga and anime series, ‘Haikyu!!’, comes a Nendoroid of the Shiratorizawa High School Volleyball Club’s captain known as the undisputed champion – Wakatoshi Ushijima! He comes with three face plates including a standard confident expression, an expression showing his confidence during a match as well as a smiling expression with closed eyes.

The Nendoroid allows you to recreate a number of memorable scenes from the series and also comes with a volleyball as well as a special base made in the image of a volleyball court. He also comes with effect parts to display him hitting the volleyball with great force for action poses, as well as a water bottle for some more relaxed poses. Be sure to display him with the previously released characters in the series and enjoy all sorts of different situations in Nendoroid size!

“It doesn’t matter who they are. We will take them on.”

The “undisputed champion” and ace of Shiratorizawa High School’s Volleyball Club, Wakatoshi Ushijima is joining the Nendoroid series! Even in Nendoroid form that sincere and stoic personality comes through so nicely! His standard pose above also has him clinging to the volleyball with one hand in a pose very befitting to his character!

As with all the previous team captains, he comes complete with his team jersey to display on his shoulders! ★

The sleeves even have ball joints in them allowing for slightly different nuances as they blow about in the wind! (∩・∀・)∩

Although it is a little hard to see in the photos, another thing to note is that his hair has an ever so slight brown-green gradient effect!

The coloring has been very carefully balanced to both capture his unique highlights and look good in Nendoroid size! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

He comes with a large selection of interchangeable arm parts as well as a three-joint stand which can be used to recreate his jumps and moves on the volleyball court!

You can pose him going through the complete motion of spiking the volleyball!

As you can see from the photo above he even comes with effect parts to show how much force he is spiking the ball with!! ☆

Hinata is a final product while Wakatoshi is still a prototype which makes him a little bigger, but the final products will correctly show their differences in height!

Nendoroid Saya Yamabuki (BanG Dream!)

Nendoroid Poppin’Party: Complete!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the final Poppin’Party Nendoroid…
Nendoroid Saya Yamabuki!

From the anime series BanG Dream! comes a Nendoroid of Poppin’Party’s lead drummer, Saya Yamabuki! She comes with three face plates including a standard expression, a cheerful smiling expression as well as a content expression.

Optional parts include her drum set featuring the band logo allowing you to display her performing live, as well as her twin pedal bag allowing you to display her on the way to and from practice. Be sure to display her with the previously announced Poppin’Party Nendoroids and recreate various different situations from the series!

“Welcome to Yamabuki Bakery!”

Poppin’Party’s drummer and someone who will always be willing to listen to Kasumi’s troubles and help out the group – Saya Yamabuki is joining the Nendoroids! ♡

Her ponytail tied up quite high has been beautifully sculpted! ♪

But perhaps the most impressive thing about her Nendoroid is that it comes with a complete, fully detailed drum set!! Just look at the impressive size of the set!!

▲ Even the double pedal on the left has been preserved in Nendoroid size!

On the front of the drums you can see the BanG Dream! logo together with the Pearl Drums logo, which has been included with full permission from the company! ☆

▲ Even in chibi size, the detail makes the drums look very realistic!

This of course means that the Nendoroid Poppin’Party series is now complete!!

There is something about this expression that makes me feel all relaxed inside! She looks so very happy!! (/ω＼)

You can combine this expression with the drum set to display her really enjoying her own performance with the band!! ☆

I imagine that if I was standing in front of her playing the guitar and I looked back to see this expression, I would instantly lose any stress and worry I had and be able to play at my very best!! I’m a little envious of Kasumi!!

Nendoroid Edward Elric (FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST)

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the much-awaited…
Nendoroid Edward Elric!★

From the popular “FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST” series comes a Nendoroid of Edward Elric! He comes with three different face plates including his standard grinning smile, a tough-looking serious expression as well as an angry expression perfect for when anyone calls him short!

He has specially articulated arm parts that allow him to be displayed with his hands together in his classic alchemy pose, and he also comes complete with parts to display his automail right arm revealed, along with parts to switch it out into a blade.

He also comes with alchemy effect parts, a wall part being transmuted out of the ground and a special lower body part that allows him to be displayed crouching down. Enjoy the adorable Nendoroid Edward in your collection!

Nendoroid Alphonse Elric will also be available for preorder soon, so be sure to display the brothers together!

“I’ll show you there’s no comparison between us!”

The youngest State Alchemist in history that became known as the “Fullmetal Alchemist”, Edward Elric is joining the Nendoroids! His fluttering red cape, blond ponytail and confident smile have all been captured in lovely detail! He also comes with alchemy effect parts that connect to his arms to display him just before transmuting something! ★

This was one of the items voted for during the Nendoroid 10th Anniversary Next Nendoroid Survey! Thanks again to everyone who voted!!

Along with the determined smile above, he also comes with two other face plates to bring out different sides of his personality! ((´д`●))三((●´д`))

– Serious Expression –

He looks much more focused with this expression, with a tightly closed mouth showing his tougher side as he stands ready for combat! His iconic braided hair is connected with a joint allowing you to move it around to better match various poses!

He is so small and cute… which leads me onto the next face plate!

– Angry Expression –

“WHO ARE YOU CALLING SMALL?!“

An expression that just had to be included with Ed! It’s amazing how well this expression translated into Nendoroid form!! ♡

But anyway, let’s move on to the included accessories! First up, he comes with an alternate arm part that reveals his automail arm!

The torn appearance of his jacket as well as the mechanical design of the arm have been sculpted in beautiful detail! ★

But that’s not the only alternate arm part he comes with!

“Didn’t I tell you? There is no comparison.“

He also comes with an interchangeable arm where his arm has been transmuted into a blade to fight with! (*´∀｀)ノ

The automail parts all make use of a metallic paint that bring out that heavy, metallic appearance so effectively! But we’re still not done yet, Ed also comes with parts to show off one of his signature moves…

Crouching Parts + Half-Transmuted Wall!

Note that the bottom of the wall is made with translucent parts to bring out that transmutation effect that really captures the atmosphere of the series! ☆

This is how the pose looks from the side!

It’s more of a half-kneeling pose – the pose that he often took just after clapping his hands together like in the pose from earlier! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The pose couldn’t be recreated with just standard Nendoroid joints but it was too important not to include, so an entirely separate lower body part and legs are included to pose him this

You can use this same body part and pose him not touching the ground to display him like this…

Ed having a temper tantrum after someone has mistaken his brother for him or called him short!! When the kneeling pose is placed up like this it looks like he is jumping around and kicking in the air! It suits the angry expression so perfectly!!

As you can see you can enjoy all sorts of different sides of the Fullmetal Alchemist with the various included parts and face plates – be sure to add the cute little ~~shorty~~ Nendoroid to your collection!

Nendoroid Tanya Degurechaff (Saga of Tanya the Evil)

Hello everyone!! Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

A while back I used to have quite an addiction for coffee jelly with a dash of cream on the top! The little containers they come in are were also so cute… I haven’t had any in awhile now, but I have this strange urge to have some now!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Tanya Degurechaff!

From the anime series ‘Saga of Tanya the Evil’ comes a Nendoroid of Tanya Degurechaff! She comes with three face plates including a tough-looking standard face, her iconic sneering face as well as a crazed face plate with gritted teeth.

The Nendoroid can be displayed saluting, equipped with a rifle or in various other poses that bring out the military feel from the series. She also comes with a cup and saucer to display her enjoying a cup of coffee. Her military cap can be removed for even more posing options. Be sure to add the expressive Tanya to your collection!

“Well then comrades, it’s time for war!”

From the anime series “Saga of Tanya the Evil” comes a Nendoroid of Tanya Degurechaff, the elite rationalist girl who lives in the world filled with both magic and gunpowder smoke fill the air! Even her saluting pose has been faithfully converted into Nendoroid size!

The details of her military outfit has been faithfully included down to the buttons and slack of her pants! The hair she has tied up at the back is connected with a Nendoroid joint allowing it to be moved around for various different nuances in posing! (σ・∀・)σ

▲ The messy look of her hair has also been preserved so nicely!

Tanya also comes with alternate parts to display her with her rifle! ☆

A pose that brings out her tough looking side for when she needs to discipline her subordinates! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The rifle is very intricately detailed and also includes a musket! ♪

▲The metallic parts use a metallic paint making them look cold and heavy!

Along with the rifle, she also comes with this lovely little part! ♡

A Coffee Cup & Saucer!

The cup filled with coffee can be held by Tanya to display her taking a little relaxation time! You can pose her together with the western-style HACOROOM to create a cafe-like display for more everyday life kind of scenes!

As you can see above, her hat can also be removed for a quick change of style! In the hat’s place she comes with a long curly hair part to faithfully complete her hairstyle! (*´ｪ`*)

Nendoroid Ice Kirby

Hello everyone!! Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

As we head into the hotter months of Summer I crave more things that have ice in them! I also crave pear-flavored things in the Summer!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Ice Kirby!

From the popular ‘Kirby’ game series which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary comes a Nendoroid of Ice Kirby! The Nendoroid makes use of a number of magnets to make his movements smooth, natural and easy to pose!

He comes with four different face plates including his standard smiling face, a more serious face, an expression with his mouth wide open to display him using his inhale ability as well as an expanded expression to show him filled up after inhaling! His ice crown can be removed to display the standard blue Kirby seen in various fighting games, and he comes with a collection of optional parts that allow you to display him with his ‘Parasol’ and ‘Fighter’ Copy Abilities as well as using his Star Bullet ability!

The original Nendoroid Kirby is also being rereleased at the same time as Ice Kirby’s release, and owning both of them allows for even more fun display opportunities. As a special bonus, Nendoroid Ice Kirby will also include a new additional sleeping face plate for Nendoroid Kirby! Be sure to display them together and bring out Dream Land in your collection!

The final version of the prototype was just revealed last week, and now he is ready to go up for preorder! Let’s take a look at the different face plates and accessories included!ヽ(●´Д｀●)ﾉ

– Smiling Face –

Plus as you can see he comes with ice effect parts under his feet to display him sliding along! ★

– Serious Face –

A serious face together with icy blowing effect parts to display him attacking with his ice powers! ♪

The puff of cold air has a translucent look with little snowflake patterns printed on the design!

▲ It looks so cute and fluffy!

– Expanded Face –

Ice Kirby looks just as cute all filled up! Not only does the expression change but so does the actual shape of his body! (*´ω｀*)

– Inhaling Face –

I say “Inhaling Face”, but this Kirby also comes with effects to display him spitting out starts so in this case it is more of a spitting face! ♥

Plus as you can see from the above, his ice crown can also be removed for a more simply blue Kirby to enjoy! (σ・∀・)σ

▲ The final product will make use of rubber painting for a lovely feel and look!

But that’s not all!! Ice Kirby comes with a selection of new parts that being out Dream Land even more than before! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

– Parasol –

Along with the version above, an alternate version longer handle is also included to recreate this pose! ( ･ㅂ･)و ̑̑ ｸﾞｯ !

– Fighter –

The headband blowing in the wind behind him gives Fighter Kirby an illusion of speed making for a rather dynamic looking pose! The arms and legs are attached with magnets allowing them to easily be switched into a more action-orientated pose like this! (∩・∀・)∩

– Sleeping Face –

He’s so adorable!! (●´Д｀●)

The sleeping face is included as a bonus for the original Kirby! I want to have this adorable sleeping face by my side to look at whenever I need to de-stress a little!

Nendoroid Lillie (Pokémon)

As soon as the summer months come around I am very reliant on insect repellent spray. But even when I use it they still tend to target me!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Lillie!

From the popular ‘Pokémon Sun’ and ‘Pokémon Moon’ games comes a Nendoroid of the mysterious girl who assists the professor, Lillie! She comes with three face plates including her standard expression, a cute smiling expression as well as the awkward smile that appeared in game.

Her hat and bag can both be removed for a different look, and she also comes with a Cosmog to display by her side! Be sure to add this cute Nendoroid of Lillie to your collection!

Nendoroid Warspite (Kantai Collection -KanColle-)

Hello everyone!! Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

If I had to choose between tea or coffee, I would be on the tea side. Recently I’ve really been enjoying “KUSMI TEA” – they have so many different varieties!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Warspite!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes the first Nendoroid of a British ship – the second Queen Elizabeth-class battleship, Warspite! She can be posed sitting on her ship parts like a throne as in the illustration from the game, but also comes with interchangeable parts which allow you to pose her standing!

She also comes with effect parts to display her turrets firing, as well as a more stern face plate that can all be used to easily pose Warspite in battle scenes! As a British ship she also of course comes with a cup of tea, and the chalkboard from the classroom set is also included as a cardboard sheet to display beside her. Enjoy all sorts of situations in Nendoroid size!

“Battleship Warspite, heading out! Fleet, follow me!”

An adorable Nendoroid of the second Queen Elizabeth-class battleship, Warspite! She is also the first British ship to join the Nendoroids! ★

I must say that every time I look at the KanColle Nendoroid line-up I’m always amazed at how many characters have been released! Yet they are all so different and special in their own ways! (´□｀｡)

But let’s get back to Warspite! ♪

The iconic ribbon on her chest with a bit of a rosy look, the folded legs that give a slight peek at her bare skin and so much more details have all been shrunk into a 10cm tall figure! ♡

▲ Her impressive bosom is also very noticeable even in Nendoroid size!

As with some of the previous KanColle Nendoroids, her ship parts come with Nendoroid joints in the left and right sides and the turrets are rotatable, allowing for the parts to be moved around in all sorts of different ways! ε=(。・д・。)

▲ The left and right turrets can rotate around too!

As you can see, her ship parts are designed like a little throne for her to sit on…

However, if you transform the back piece so that the turret points outward…

The Nendoroid can be transformed into a standing mode more suited for combat scenes! ((´д`●))三((●´д`))

In other words the Nendoroid can switch between two completely different ship part types allowing for even more posing opportunities! Plus the whole transformation also does not require you to add or remove any parts!

But that’s not all!

She also comes with a paper blackboard from the classroom set, together with a stand to display it beside her!

This would also look great with certain other KanColle Nendoroids as well! You can always switch parts around between them! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

As you can see from the previous photos, she can easily be displayed without the ship parts entirely, and you can also just take the seat part of her throne and display her with that only! ♪

As a British ship she also of course comes with a cup of tea, which matches the sitting pose very nicely and captures a more everyday kind of pose! ♡

You could pose her with the cafe counter kit from HACOROOM and create a lovely tea time scene! ★

Along with the parts above, she also comes with the standard turret firing effect parts as well as a face plate designed for combat scenes! (∩・∀・)∩
