Nendoroid Fubuki Kai-II!

From the popular browser game that is celebrating its 4th anniversary in April 2017, ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the first Fubuki-class special destroyer, Fubuki Kai-II! She comes with three face plates including a standard expression, combat expression and half-damaged expression.

The Nendoroid has been tuned to allow for more action scenes with additional joints added to her hips. She also includes a variety of effect parts including turret firing effect parts, torpedo effect parts, effect parts to display her gliding along the surface of the water, machine-gun water pillar effect parts as well as a smokescreen effect part allowing for all sorts of action scenes! Enjoy the 4th anniversary of KanColle together with the Nendoroid KanColle series, which has also been running for nearly four years!

One of the many products planned as a part of the Kantai Collection -KanColle- 4th anniversary celebration, the first Fubuki-class special destroyer, Fubuki Kai-II is joining the Nendoroid series!

The Nendoroid has been beautifully sculpted with her uniform and ship parts keeping faithfully to the original illustration! Even the areas that were not visible in the original illustration have been sculpted and painted in lovely detail! ♪

Look at these lovely ship parts on her back! ♡

▲ Her little bit of tied-up hair and the torpedo launchers on her legs are articulated for various different nuances! ♪

I spy a little anchor on the underside of her ship parts! (ΦωΦ)

▲ She also has anchor marks on her socks! ♪

Nendoroid Fubuki Kai-II comes with a total of three face plates, starting off with the standard expression that I have been using up until now!

Bent left and right arms are also included which when used with the standard expression will make for the lovely cheerful pose below!

Her second face plate is a  combat expression which is perfect for posing her heading into battle or with fighting effect parts!!

Placing her in a more combat-orientated stance instantly changes her character from the innocent, cute ship girl into an appearance more suited to a destroyer!

She also comes with  turret firing effect parts, torpedo effect parts, effect parts to display her gliding along the surface of the water for even more options!!

▲ The strap for her turret is made from faux leather to easily place it in various poses. You can also have her hold the turret with either hand!

Last but not least we move onto her third face plate which I always love to see on KanColle Nendoroids…

Her Half-Damaged Expression!

Why is it that Nendoroid with crying faces are always so cute!! I feel like I should feel sorry for her, but all I can think of is how cute she is!! This expression could be used for all sorts of different situations!!

▲Even more effect parts! Machine gun fire creating water pillars as well as a smokescreen! You can just imagine her cute voice shouting out “No! Stop!”!!

You can also use this face plate with the  bent arms for this pose!!

Nendoroid Syaoran Li (Cardcaptor Sakura)

Hello everyone!! Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I’m really terrible at sewing. I remember back when I was a student I made a scarf in class and it ended up too short to even wrap around my neck once. I can’t even imagine sewing together a complete teddy bear!

Anyway, today I’m going to take a look at…
Nendoroid Syaoran Li!

From the famous Cardcaptor Sakura series which currently has an all new “Clear Card Arc” being serialized comes a Nendoroid of Syaoran Li! He comes with three face plates including an aloof standard expression, a shouting expression for combat scenes as well as a bit of an embarrassed, blushing expression!

Optional parts include the charms he uses for elemental magic as well as a sword that can be displayed both drawn and sheathed in the included scabbard. Be sure to add the cute Syaoran to your collection!

“Found one! I sense a Clow Card!”

From the series that has been loved by fans for years on end, “Cardcaptor Sakura” comes a Nendoroid the distant relative to the powerful magician Clow Reed who transfers to Japan from Hong Kong to collect the Clow Cards – Syaoran Li!

I was the head planner for this figure and let me start off by saying that I’ve been waiting just as long as the everyone else for this figure to be released!!

He was one of the Nendoroids that received a large number of votes on the Nendoroid 10th Anniversary Next Nendoroid Survey, so I really think the fact that he was finally able to join the Nendoroids was thanks to the fans love and support!! A big thank you to everyone, as it was a figure that I personally really wanted too!! (✿´ ꒳ ` )

On top of that we have the all new series, a rebroadcast of the anime and the recent birthday event… it’s such a great time to be a Cardcaptor fan!

But anyway, let’s get back to the Nendoroid!! ♪

First and foremost let’s take a look at the face plate that above, which is his rather aloof looking standard expression! His green outfit has also been converted into Nendoroid size with careful attention to detail! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

His sword and scabbard are can be held in place with the Nendoroid stand, allowing you to pose him as if carrying the sword on his back! The bells on the bottom of his outfit as well as certain areas on the sword make use of a metallic paint to better capture the different textures!

Included to pose with him is one of his charms…

As well as his sword removed from the sheath!

These parts can be used with the included shouting face plate to recreate all sorts of combat poses! I posed him here in a pose just before he uses his standard lightning spell! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

In addition, the Nendoroid also comes a bent leg part which you can mix and match with other parts to recreate various different action scenes!

The sculpt of the outfit also has a bit of a dynamic sculpt to it in order to match up with the more action-orientated poses! (∩・∀・)∩

His third face plate: a blushing face!

When I had to select a third face plate for Syaoran it was such a difficult choice to make! I went back and reread all the volumes of the manga paying close attention to his facial expressions!

The arguing expressions when he was talking with Toya, the gentle smiling expression with confident eyes… there were so many options, but in the end the scene that had always stuck in my memory was this expression from volume 9 in the manga, where he first becomes aware of his feelings for Sakura-chan while walking with Tomoyo-chan… (/ω＼)

I’m go glad I can finally display the two of them together like this!! ( ；∀；)

(I think Tomoyo-chan and I are feeling the same happiness right now!!)

If you display Sakura-chan with her excited expression and Syaoran blushing you can imagine that they just met Yukito! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

Although they are in their battle outfits, the expressions are still more than enough to tell a little story! ✿

Displaying Syaoran alone is of course amazing in itself, but I highly recommend posing him with the previously released Nendoroids and Nendoroid Co-de from the series to recreate all sorts of different situations from the Cardcaptor Sakura universe! ヽ(*´∀｀)ノ

By the way, Syaoran’s hat can also be removed!

Simply select the pose, face plate and parts that you like best and pose Syaoran in all sorts of serious, gallant and cute poses!! ♡

Nendoroid Rimi Ushigome!

From the anime series BanG Dream! comes a Nendoroid of Poppin’Party’s bassist, Rimi Ushigome! She comes with three face plates including a standard expression, an innocent expression with her mouth open and an expression with upturned eyes.

Optional parts include a bass guitar to display her performing live, as well as a case for the guitar allowing you to display her on the way to and from practice. Be sure to display her with the previously announced Nendoroid Kasumi Toyama and Arisa Ichigaya to recreate all sorts of different situations in Nendoroid size!

Anyway, let’s get back to Rimi-rin! ♪

She comes complete with the bass guitar that was handed down to her from her older sister Yuri! The amount of detail on the pink and black design is amazing! Her characteristic bobcut hair with slightly longer sides has also been very nicely preserved in Nendoroid size! (´□｀｡)

Up until now I have only shown her cute smiling face, but let’s take a look at her alternate face plates! The first of which is this one!

A cute, innocent face with her mouth open! ♡

The childish look that the open mouth gives her makes her look so very adorable!! It makes her look like she is carefully concentrating, making sure that she captures the right notes for her performance!

Moving on to her third face plate…

A cute expression with upturned eyes! ♥

At first I thought she would come with a more standard smiling expression similar to Kasumi and Arisa… but this suits her character so much better!! An excellent choice by the product’s planner, Chii-chan! (@gsc_chii) (｀・д´・；)

Rimi has a timid personality that makes those around her want to protect and care for her… and this expression just brings out that feeling tenfold!!! I would be happy to bring her delicious bread from Yamabuki bakery every day! With that said…

Rimi-rin also comes with her favorite bread from the bakery, a chocolate coronet! (੭ु ›ω‹ )੭ु⁾⁾♡

Posing her with the bread allows for a more relaxed, everyday scene! I’m sure it will be fun to pose her like this together with the other characters for a change of pace from their performing poses! ★

Perhaps my best thing about the Nendoroid is that the weather-modification drone, “Snowball”, normally stored on the cylinder on her back can be removed and even comes with its own little stand to display floating beside her! This allows you to recreate the “Companion” Emote from the game! (ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

In addition, effect parts are included that attach to the endothermic blaster to pose her firing a stream of frost to freeze her opponents! Brrr…

Snowball also comes with effect parts to display Mei making use of her Blizzard ultimate ability! ♪

Utaha Kasumigaoka: Swimsuit Ver. (Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend)

I don’t think I have worn a swimsuit nor gone swimming for over five years now. That said, I can barely swim anyway… if I ever do go swimming I will be sure to bring a swimming ring with me!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at the 1/7th scale…
Utaha Kasumigaoka: Swimsuit Ver.!

From the popular anime series Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend ♭ comes a 1/7th scale figure of the popular novelist Utaha Kasumigaoka wearing a swimsuit! The figure is the start of a second series of figures based on the original illustrations by Kurehito Misaki, featuring the Saekano girls wearing their lovely swimsuits.

Misaki’s delicate touch and unique coloring have been carefully preserved on the figure, while also capturing the sensual and soft appearance of Utaha-senpai’s body with intricate sculptwork and paintwork. The hat and pareo of the figure can both be removed allowing for a slightly customizable display!

The first in a series of Saekano swimsuit figures based on original illustrations by Kurehito Misaki!

From Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend ♭ comes a sexy figure of Utaha Kasumigaoka based on original illustrations by the original character designer for the series, Kurehito Misaki!

The subtle changes in color and soft looking curves of her body have all been captured on the figure perfectly!

I think the area that really does it for me is her stomach! Those intricate ups-and-downs give her skin such a soft looking appearance!

The sitting pose gives the figure a different feel to standing poses… it’s a little hard to put into words but I get the feeling you can see more ‘gaps’ thanks to the seated pose!

The pareo also really looks like it is made from fabric, while the twists and twirls of the ribbon on her hat are also lovely!

By the way, many of you may remember that we already did a similar series based on artwork by Kurehito Misaki, where all the characters were placed in poses in the middle of getting dressed! Such an impressive body for a high school student!

Even though she is in a rather revealing pose there is something about the wide-brimmed hat, the way her hand is posed gently pushing it up and the gentle smile that make her look so very elegant!! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Plus, although it may not be the first place your eyes look, the details on her feet are just as stunning as the rest of her body!

The metallic fastener on her shoe strap and intricate little toes with each of her nails carefully sculpted and painted show the amount of detail that went into the figure!

From the anime series ‘LoveLive!Sunshine!!’ comes a Nendoroid of the Aqours member Dia Kurosawa wearing her outfit from the song ‘Aozora Jumping Heart’! She comes with both an elegant smiling face plate as well as an upset, blushing face plate for when she gets annoyed with the other Aqours members! A folding fan is also included which can be held over her mouth to add a different feel to each of the expressions!!

Nendoroid Darkness (Konosuba! 2)

We’re in the season of spring cabbage! I’ve always enjoyed frying them together with sakura shrimp for the perfect spring meal! *nom* (●´ㅂ`●) *nom*

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Darkness!

From the anime series ‘Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Syukufuku wo! 2’ comes a Nendoroid of the blue-eyed, blond-haired masochistic knight – ‘Darkness’! She comes with three face plates including a composed smiling expression, a euphoric expression with a slight blush on her cheeks as well as a worried, blushing expression that makes you wonder what she is anticipating!

Optional parts include her sword as well as articulated arm parts that allow for all sorts of different poses. In addition, two flying cabbage monsters as well as an alternate upper body part with her clothes damaged is also included. Be sure to display her with the previously announced Nendoroid Aqua and Nendoroid Megumin!

A Nendoroid of the masochistic Crusader!

From the series KONO SUBARASHII SEKAI NI SYUKUFUKU WO! 2 comes an adorable little Nendoroid of the female knight that tends to be too clumsy to land a good attack, but always makes a good shield – Darkness! (∩・∀・)∩

Her armor features glossy paint to differentiate textures!

Her characteristic blond hair also has a slight orange gradient toward the end of the ponytail!

Osomatsu-san Diorama Figure (Osomatsu-san)

I want to go out and enjoy the cherry blossoms with a nice bowl of oden!! I guess the season for oden is coming to an end now…!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at this…
Osomatsu-san Diorama Figure!

From the anime series ‘Osomatsu-san’ comes a special figure based on an original illustration by character designer Naoyuki Asano that features all six of the Matsuno brothers together! The illustration was based on the opening theme of the anime series where the six brothers jump out together, and the figure faithfully captures the dynamic feel together with a detailed base and background that creates a complete scene for the figure!

Each of the characters has been carefully sculpted to capture their unique traits, while also carefully tuning the figure as a whole to create a high-quality work of art that fans will be proud to add to their collection! Whether you choose to look at it from a distance and enjoy the characters as a group, or instead look up close at your favorite characters – don’t miss out on this amazing diorama figure!

The six grown-up Matsuno brothers as a single figure!

The figure was based on an original illustration drawn by the character designer for the series, Naoyuki Asano! ♥

The pose is a colorful and cute reminder of the opening theme to the series, with each of the characters in a pose that suits their individual personality!

Plus at the very bottom you have a base that is also made in the image of the Matsuno brother’s head shape to even further bring out the random atmosphere of the series! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

Of course, with the conversion into figure form all the areas that were never visible on the illustration have been faithfully sculpted to view from any angle you choose!!

Let’s start off with a 360° spin! ☆

Colorful and full of excitement!

While the figure features all six characters each and every one of them has been individually sculpted to capture their unique characteristics! I said earlier that the figure was a faithful representation of the illustration – but there is one difference if you look very close!

You may have noticed that on the illustration the colors used for the characters and the background are the same shades, but on the figure the characters and background use slightly different colors. The reason for this is that on an illustration it looks good, but when made into a 3D figure the same colors blend into each other which meant it made more sense to alter the colors slightly!

This is one of those examples that shows just how important the painting of the figure is! It’s not all just about the sculpt!

Anyway, let’s take a closer look at each of them starting with the oldest! ★

◆ Osomatsu ◆

A lovely, cheerful smile and pose! Even the details of his fingers have been carefully crafted!

◆ Karamatsu ◆

Those thick eyebrows and a pose trying to look as cool as possible! Just look at those low sunglasses and stylish placement of this right hand! The bundled up sleeves also look great! (・∀・)!!

◆ Choromatsu ◆

A rather upset looking mouth! You’ll notice the figure is tuned to look at as a whole with Osomatsu in the center, which is why the left side of his mouth appears slightly longer when you look at him directly from this angle.  

It really is fun to compare all the characters personalities just by looking at the figure! You really get a good feel for the differences between the brothers!

◆ Ichimatsu ◆

A kind of sleepy smile together with his classic half-closed eyes! Note that his slightly messy hair has also been captured with the sculpt! ☆

◆ Jyushimatsu ◆

A wide open mouth with his arms up in the air for a super playful and energetic pose! The back of his hair sticking up too!! I can just imagine his voice playing through my head!

◆ Todomatsu ◆

Last but not least we have a jumping Todomatsu with his one leg far out to the side of the figure! The height of each of the brothers has also been carefully tuned to be faithful to the series!

They all look lovely! Plus the best thing is that as it is a figure you can completely change the angle and enjoy a rather unique appearance such as this one! ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ

Another little bonus with the figure! 

The speech bubble part on top of Ichimatsu actually has a little opening in it! This allows you to insert a piece of paper or something similar…

To use the figure as a kind of memo stand!

Nendoroid Japan (Hetalia The World Twinkle)

The cherry blossoms have finally started to bloom here in Japan! Today is also the day that the new recruits come to join the GSC ranks!! I can’t wait to meet them and see what kind of characters they have ♪

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Japan!

From the popular anime “Hetalia The World Twinkle” comes a Nendoroid of Japan! He comes with both a modest standard expression as well as an impassioned expression for when he talks about food!

Optional parts include the case for his bamboo sword, his pet dog Pochi-kun as well as some Japanese rice for him to eat and talk about! He also features a special round base decorated with cherry blossoms to bring out the Japanese atmosphere! Be sure to add the shy and somewhat mysterious Japan to your collection!

“I’m so very sorry for troubling you.”

The character who excels at sensing the mood and being overly reserved; the quiet and diligent young man ‘Japan’ is joining the Nendoroid series!  His rounded silky looking hair, cute pose with his hands held in front of him as well as the elegant yet dignified look on his face… (*´ｪ`*)

 

All of his characteristics have been captured in Nendoroid size! ♥

The white uniform he wears has also been sculpted in detail with even the little buttons and collar faithfully represented!

– Sitting Parts & Rice Bowl & Chopsticks –

Not only does he comes with chopsticks and a bowl full of rice with an umeboshi on top, but he also comes with sitting parts!! ε=(｡・д・｡)

But that’s not all, he also comes with a passionate expression, perfect for posing him talking about food!! The slight blush on his cheeks, serious eyebrows and square-shaped open mouth make for a rather different impression when compared with the previous face plate!! It’s that contrast that makes it all the more fun though! ♥

The somewhat despondent looking eyes of Pochi-kun are perfect!!

The soft and round appearance with little stubbly legs has also all been captured to display together with Japan!
