Nendoroid Lin Setsu A (Thunderbolt Fantasy)

For some reason whenever I visit Taiwan it always seems to be raining! I’ve been there four times now and every single time there as been rain! (°Д°；≡°Д°；)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Lin Setsu A!

From the martial-arts fantasy glove puppetry series ‘Thunderbolt Fantasy Sword Seekers’ comes a Nendoroid of the mysterious and elegant Lin Setsu A! The Nendoroid comes with three different face plates including a standard expression with a refined look, a chibi expression based the character drawn by Yuupon as well as beautiful expression based on the actual glove puppet used in the series!

Optional parts include his pipe together with special smoke effect parts as well as a little white bird for him to send his bird messages! Enjoy the mysterious Lin Setsu A in your collection!

The mysterious Lin Setsu A the ‘Enigmatic Gale’ is joining the Nendoroids!

From the popular martial-arts fantasy glove puppetry series that is currently being broadcast and is quickly reaching its climax, ‘Thunderbolt Fantasy Sword Seekers’ comes a Nendoroid of the mysterious, graceful and good-looking Lin Setsu A! His beautiful white and blue outfit with touches of red has been beautifully converted into Nendoroid size, keeping that high-class, elegant charm that was included on the original puppets in the series! ヽ(´∀`｡)ﾉ

By the way, ‘Enigmatic Gale’ is the name he is known by, and the name ‘Kichou’ is a fake name he uses in the series! I see many people get confused as to what his name is, but the characters actual name is  Lin Setsu A! (Which just to confuse things even more is Lin Xue Ya if you use the Chinese readings instead of the Japanese readings!)

Anyway, let’s get back to the Nendoroid! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

The lovely long ponytail is fitted with a Nendoroid joint which allows you to match the flow of his hair with various different poses!  (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

He also comes with his pipe together with special spoke effect parts that really bring out the character nicely! The gentle swaying of the smoke together with the calm yet mysterious smile… it creates such a lovely image of Lin Setsu A!! ♡

But let’s take a look at the other face plates that he comes with! ♪

First, a Chibi Expression!

This expression was based on the chibi character drawn by Yuupon from Nitroplus!! The cute eyes have such a characteristic look! ♥

The difference between this expression and the previous one is also a very enjoyable contrast!

Plus as you can see he also comes with one of the little birds that he often calls in the series! The little bird in Nendoroid size is also so very adorable!! ♪

Onto his third expression…

A Puppet Expression! 

This expression is based directly on the appearance of the actual glove puppet from the series! The thick lips are certainly the most noticeable point, but the whole expression is just filled with the same style as the puppet from the series! I personally love those thick, straight eyebrows!!

His eyes have slightly more detail to them which gives him a very impactful appearance! Using this expression you could even make your own Nendoroid-sized glove puppet-like shows!

Recreate all sorts of fun scenes from the series with the Nendoroid! Be sure to add the ‘Enigmatic Gale’ to your collection!♪

Nendoroid Chuya Nakahara (Bungo Stray Dogs)

I have plans to make great use of my Kindle during the upcoming long Autumn nights! It’s so amazing that we live in a world where you can get a whole new book with just the click of a button!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Chuya Nakahara!

From the anime series ‘Bungo Stray Dogs’ comes a Nendoroid of Chuya Nakahara, one of the executives of the Port Mafia that have strong control over the ports! He comes with three face plates including his standard expression, a belligerent combat expression as well as a humiliated angry expression.

The long black coat he wears over his shoulders as well as his hat can both be removed for different posing options. Optional parts include his knife to place him in poses that show him off as the strongest martial artist in the Mafia, and he even comes with parts that allow you to pose him with walking pigeon-toed just as Osamu predicted! Be sure to display him with the previously announced Nendoroid Osamu Dazai!

Chuya Nakahara. Ability: “For the Tainted Sorrow”.

One of the executives of the Port Mafia who can’t stand Osamu Dazai – Chuya Nakahara is joining the Nendoroids! His rather short stature as well as the toying expression ready to play with his opponents have all been faithfully included on the Nendoroid design! The wavy red hair and stylish black outfit also look great in Nendoroid size! ♪

This is how he looks from the back!

The jacket is sculpted blowing about in the wind which makes him look stylish and awesome even from the back! Plus the sleeves are fitted with joints allowing you to move them around slightly to match various different poses with ease! (/ω＼)

While he looks amazing alone, displaying him in confrontation with Nendoroid Osamu Dazai allows for even more fun!! ☆

Anyway, let’s move on by taking a look at his alternate face plates!

– Combat Expression –

A figure that captures his belligerent side with small, serious pupils as he heads into combat! He also comes with bent leg parts as well as a knife to hold in his hand to really complete the attack scene! ☆

Plus as you can tell from the photo above, the jacket on his shoulders can also be removed for a rather different appearance! In addition to that, his hat can also be removed allowing for even more posing opportunities!

With the jacket removed you can get a nice look at this rolled-up sleeves, waistcoat and back! (∩・∀・)∩

Even though the outfit is so small in Nendoroid size the little details such as the creases in his gloves have been so carefully sculpted!

The tight body line normally hidden by the overcoat is filled with highlights to enjoy!! Be sure to take a nice close look once he joins your collection! ♪

– Angry Expression –

A face taken directly from the scene where he is outwitted by Osamu Dazai! ε=(｡・д・｡)

It’s called an angry face, but there is also a certain amount of embarrassment in the expression that really brings out the sore loser side of his personality!!

Plus as you can see in the photo above, if you pose him with two bent legs you can make a pigeon-toed pose which fans might remember from the series! ｡:.ﾟヽ(´∀`｡)ﾉﾟ.:｡+ﾟ

The characters from ‘Bungo Stray Dogs’ are joining the Picktam! series of rubber straps with exchangeable expressions! The line-up features eight different characters including Atsushi Nakajima, Osamu Dazai, Doppo Kunikida, Ranpo Edogawa, Junichiro Tanizaki, Kenji Miyazawa, Ryunosuke Akutagawa and Chuya Nakahara! Each character’s face part had two sides each with a different expression, allowing you to pick the one that suits your mood best each day!

Hi everyone! Suwabe (@gsc_suwabe) from the Corporate Planning Division here! Today I’m writing this blog as there was something I just had to show everyone…

The 1/8th Scale Ikumi Mito!

From the anime series ‘Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Second Plate’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the meat cooking specialist, Ikumi Mito! She has been sculpted based on her reaction scene from the Totsuki Tea Ceremony and Cooking Academy’s Autumn Elections curry round, where she prepared a Dongpo Pork Curry Don.

Ikumi is dressed in a military uniform in a confident pose that shows exactly why she is known as the ‘Meat General’! In addition, she also comes with an alternate upper body with her top removed to reveal a swimsuit, showing off her impressive body for fans to enjoy by their side!

She looks amazing no matter what angle you look from!!

The tight-fitting military outfit captures the curves of her glamorous body to a tee! The carefully sculpted creases in the outfit also bring out a lovely sex appeal to her chest, waist, hips and bottom!!

▼This angle makes her look even more beautiful!

One of the most difficult thing to achieve when creating figures is to keep the character looking perfectly natural no matter what angle you look from – just like a real person. Ikumi has really achieved this so perfectly – I cannot find an angle that doesn’t have her looking amazing!

High-laced leather boots! A bit of a rugged choice of shoes that suits the ‘Meat General’ theme that brings the figure together so nicely! But then we move into the included interchangeable parts that brings the figure together even more for me!!

An alternate upper body!! Swimsuit Mode!!

The fact that her lower body is still dressed in uniform while the upper body takes such a sexy turn somehow really gets my imagination going…

The expression overflowing with confidence together with her stunning beauty… the way the straps sink into the side of her ample bosom… I can’t help but feel a little envious.

It also seems like her pants are a little loose creating a little gap!! I want to see inside! Let me see inside!! The sensual pose with her hips twisted just adds to the overall appeal too!! I’m so glad that her choice of swimsuit was one with straps like this!!

Nendoroid Akari Akaza, Nendoroid Kyoko Toshino and Nendoroid After Parts Rerelease!

I am just about to board the plane back to Japan! I have been in Taiwan over the weekend to attend a Thunderbolt Fantasy event that was held here!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a selection of products that have recently been announced for rerelease!

Nendoroid Akari Akaza &
Nendoroid Kyoko Toshino! ♥

Nendoroid Akari Akaza
From the popular anime series ‘YuruYuri’ comes a rerelease of the kind and gentle Nendoroid Akari Akaza – still trying to get noticed as the main character!

Akari is dressed in her Nanamori Middle School uniform and comes with a number of extra parts that help you recreate popular scenes from the series including the opening scene at the beginning of the first season, the rather embarrassing scene where Akari first introduces herself and even the kiss scene where something rather important is taken from her! Her hair buns can also be taken off, and together with the included effect parts you can recreate the ‘Hair Bazooka’ scene!

Nendoroid Kyoko Toshino
From the anime series ‘YuruYuri Nachuyachumi!’ comes a rerelease of the flamboyant member of the Amusement Club – Nendoroid Kyoko Toshino! She comes with three face plates including her standard smiling expression, an expression with sparking eyes for her encounters with rum-raisin ice-cream as well as the American comic-based expression that appeared in the original manga!

Optional parts include a spoon and ice-cream that allow you to pose her enjoying her favorite rum-raisin ice cream as well as parts which display her taking the poses of ‘Magical Girl Mirakurun’! She also comes with long-sleeve parts to recreate her Winter uniform! Be sure to display her with Nendoroid Akari Akaza who is being rereleased at the same time!

Two of the Amusement Club members from Nanamori Middle School are coming back to the Nendoroid series! ♪

Akari is Nendoroid number 268, while Kyoko is number 479!

It feels like just the other day they were first released and yet now the series is already well over 600 in number!! Time flies so fast!! For those who haven’t been keeping up with the latest released, the highest number to be announced so far is Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2016 Ver. which was Nendoroid number 673! (´□｀｡)

Back to the YuruYuri Nendoroids, one of my favorite poses with these two is to use Akari’s arms on Kyoko together with the ‘Akkariii~n’ background sheet to create this scene…
“I am the true main character!”

You can easily pose Kyoko taking Akari’s place while she falls off to the side with the incredible expression of utter hopelessness…

These Nendoroids are a load of fun by themselves but as you can see having both opens up so many more possibilities!! ★

▲ This expression was captured so perfectly for the Nendoroid!

Akari comes with her Winter uniform, but Kyoko comes with interchangeable parts which can change the uniform into the Summer version!

▲ Akari can hold the want to become Mirakurun herself!

The background you can see in these photos is based on the clubroom for the Amusement Club, and is included as the inner cardboard sheet of Akari’s packaging! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

It’s amazing how much more the atmosphere of the series comes out when you display them together with the background! I highly recommend making use of it if you add them to your collection! ♪

Plus, another item that has been announced for rerelease is none other than the Nendoroid More: After Parts 01, which you can use to create Angel Akari and Devil Kyoko!! ヽ(*´Д｀*)ﾉ━ｨ

I figured this would look good, but I never expected it to work quite as well as it did!! They look so adorable like this and Kyoko’s hand for holding the staff works perfectly for the devil pitchfork!!

By the way, the After Parts 01 has special extension parts for the wings that allows them to be used on characters with long hair!! Kyoko is making use of the attachment part for this photo!

▲ Looking from the back you can see where the attachment!

Characters with shorter hair can simply attach the wings to the connecting point on the back, but those with longer hair will be need to have this attachment! It still looks very natural from the front! (∩・∀・)∩

In addition to the parts above, the Nendoroid More: After Parts 02 are also going up for rerelease! That set features cat and bunny ears!! Be sure to check them both out below! ☆

Bismarck Kai

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Bismarck Kai!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the name ship of the Bismarck-class battleships – Bismarck! Her classic pose from the game has been carefully converted into a figure that preserves the feeling of her dashing forward with a lovely dynamic pose.

The powerful ship parts that also boast being the largest of all the German ships in the game have been completely included and feature a heavy appearance through meticulous paintwork. Her hat can be attached and removed for a slightly different appearance, and the ship parts are articulated at various points allowing for all sorts of fun to be had posing even on a scale figure! Be sure to display her with the previously announced Prinz Eugen who is scheduled to be released in January next year!

“Guten Tag. I am the nameship of the Bismarck-class battleships – Bismarck. Don’t forget that name.”

The nameship of the Dutch Bismarck-class Super-dreadnoughts, Bismarck is becoming a scale figure in her upgraded ‘Kai’ form! The black and red color scheme of her Kai version gives her such a stylish appearance that has been preserved on the figure perfectly! The red paint on the top of the turrets and the Balkenkreuz design on her red arm band also stand out really nicely! ♪

But the first thing to note is of course her impressively sized ship parts!! (∩・∀・)∩

This is the kind of firepower that shows what it means to be a super-dreadnought!!

The figure is placed in a somewhat forward-bent posture which gives the figure a really impactful dynamic appearance!

Looking at her from the sides gives an even better feeling for the sheer volume of the ship parts!

But the size is certainly not the only highlight! The amount of detail on the ship parts is such a pleasure to look at!

Look at the details on the ship deck!

All the little details about the ship have been included on the design, preserving the dignified and beautiful look you’d expect from German-engineering! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

But there is still another aspect to these ship parts that makes them even more amazing! They don’t just look great…

They are also articulated!

They can move in all sorts of different ways too! Each of the turrets on the cannons has it’s own articulation, and all of the cannons can also be rotated to various different angles! This means you can create all sorts of different combat poses for Bismarck!! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

In other words, not only do you get to see the usual high quality sculpt and careful attention to textures and detail that comes with a scale figure… you also get to enjoy moving the parts around and creating a little bit of action for Bismarck!! ☆

In addition to all the moving parts, her hat can also be removed for a rather different appearance! The choice is up to you, Admiral! ♪

Anyway, most of this blog has been focusing on the amazing ship parts… but Bismarck herself also looks amazing, with a body ready to contend with the very best!! (/ω＼)

Her bosom boasts an impressive size and yet still has a rather dignified appearance!

Her bare back shows off the bumps of her shoulder blades!

And perhaps my personal favourite…

Her Kneecaps!

It’s not just that the knees have such a nice round, shiny appearance but the fact that you can actually make out the bones of her knee!! That shape you can only really achieve with a bent leg has been captured on the figure so brilliantly, and the long socks that cover up the knee only make it look all the more amazing!!

Be sure to take a nice close look and a nice good feel of all the details once she joins your collection! I personally recommend running your fingers along the perfect curves of her legs!! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2016 Ver.

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2016 Ver.!

From the ‘Character Vocal Series 01:Hatsune Miku’ comes a Nendoroid of Hatsune Miku wearing her outfit from the main illustration of the Magical Mirai 2016 event! She comes with both a smiling face plate as if happily singing as well as a cute winking face plate. A microphone stand as well as the ‘Cube’ from her illustration are also included as optional parts.
Enjoy the adorable, futuristic Miku illustrated by LENA[A-7] in Nendoroid size!

Infinitely connecting to the future!

The special version of Miku illustrated by LENA[A-7] for the Magical Mirai 2016 event is being transformed into an adorable Nendoroid for fans to add to their Miku collections!! This version of Miku has a lovely white and black outfit mixed in with the normal Miku color which creates a rather mature looking version of Miku, but it certainly still has a cute side – for example, take a look at the big black ribbon in her hair!!!

Her adorable expression is one thing, but just look at all the details put into her outfit as well! All the little accessories have had such careful attention given to them! Look at the little pink mark painted onto her gloves, or the wires that make up her hair accessories!! Plus just look at her feet!!

▲ You can even see the ribbons on the inside of the dress behind the frills! ♡

The heel, underside of her feet and even the way the boots hold over at the top all make for such a unique design! You really need to see the little details for yourself to truly appreciate the craftsmanship that has gone into this little Nendoroid!

As you may have also noticed, the outfit makes use of different paint to separate the fabric of the outfit from the various other textures! You can see the difference in textures though the use of glossy and flat paints! It really brings the figure to life!!ヽ(●´Д｀●)ﾉ

The first of her optional parts is this cute microphone stand which has a matching black ribbon tied onto it!

Plus, the ‘CUBE‘ often associated with the Magical Mirai event is also included with the Nendoroid!! ♪

You can even pose her holding onto the microphone section of the stand like this which makes it look like she is preforming right in front of you! (´□｀｡)

As usual, the twin-tails are fitted with Nendoroid joints which means you can easily match the movement of her hair to all sorts of different poses!

The twin-tails also have a bit of a curl to them at the end which provides even more of a dynamic feeling to the figure!

Plus as I’m sure you’ve already noticed, she comes with this adorable second face plate…

Minako Satake: Poka Poka Service Ver.

Hi everyone! Suwabe (@gsc_suwabe)  from the Corporate Planning Division here! I think I’m going to be getting into trouble with someone for this blog…!

Today’s Main Feature… |дﾟ)

Phat!’s 1/8th Scale Figure:

Minako Satake: Poka Poka Service Ver.!

 
“Let me wash your back, Producer! It’ll help you relax after all your hard work!”

From the popular idol production game ‘THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE!!’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Satake Minako based on her ‘Poka Poka Service’ illustration! Her gentle expression and the slightly stimulating atmosphere of the original illustration have been faithfully converted into figure form, capturing all of her charm for fans to enjoy by their side!

My, my… those who know my taste in figures will know why I’m going to be getting in trouble now! How can you not want to do some fan service photos when a figure like this is placed in front of you! Just look those perfect curves!! Let’s take a closer look all around the figure!! (｀･ω･´)

As you may be able to see, there is another section that can’t quite be completely hidden on the figure… but we’ll take a closer look at that later!

Looking down from a high angle makes her look so beautiful…! ♡

This angle seems to make Minako look a little more mature to me! The cute ribbon tying up her hair in a bundle has also been faithfully included on the figure! ♡

Plus you can also see that the flower pattern on the yukata has been intricately painted on both the back and the front of the figure!

 
The wooden bucket she holds under her arm has such a realistic wooden grain!

I wonder what kind of services she is ready to offer with that bucket…! The purple ribbon tucked under her arms and the creases it forms all over the yukata have been sculpted so beautifully! Not to mention the effect of the shadows painted into the ribbon which really bring it to life!!

Anyway, let’s move onto the main topics shall we!

First up, her lovely legs!!

The luminescent skin on her thighs as they come out from the folded up yukata looks so very soft and smooth!! This area was never visible in the original illustration from the game! It was specially thought out and sculpted just for the figure!!

My personal highlight!▼

 
You can make out exactly what is inside the yukata based on the shapes that show through the material! It’s not just paint either – the lines have been very intricately sculpted onto the figure to the point that you can feel them! Trust me! I confirmed it myself! (‘ω’)

Looking from a lower angle…

Cutting it rather close here!! You’ll have to wait until she joins your collection to see anything more!!!

The most recent theme to come to the animate and Good Smile Company joint café is a special collaboration with Thunderbolt Fantasy!! You can find out more about the animate café over here: https://café.animate.co.jp/

This time around the café is open on a first-come, first-serve basis on weekdays, so you can simply come by without needing to reserve! (The GSC Offices are about 5 minutes away, and we actually had some other staff come in for lunch while I was there!)

Right at the entrance there is already something for the fans to enjoy! A wanted poster to put your own head in, in place of Lin Xuě Ya’s! But let’s move on to the main attraction…

Orders are made using an order sheet! You can choose from up to 14 different meals, desserts and drinks! (*’▽’)

You’ll have to wait and see what I ordered! ♪

While I’m waiting for it to arrive though, let’s take a a look around the café!

The huge tapestries on the walls are amazing, but another thing to take note of is the table sheets! I went around to all the different tables and bothered everyone so I could get photos of all the different designs!

Unfortunately you can’t choose your seat! That is all down to your luck on what table is open on the day! ★

Anyway, let’s take a look at the food I ordered!

Nendoroid Lin Xuě Yā! ♡

Displayed with the meal that is made in his image! They do seem to fit each other rather nicely! ★

I also decided to offer him some of the black curry!! (*ﾉωﾉ)

“Oh my… Cán Xiōng’s head…”! I can just imagine his voice!!

The Nendoroid will be up for preorder soon! This actually showed off two of his expressions rather nonchalantly! Look forward to other items that may be included when he goes up for preorder!

(/・ω・)/ “Game Time!~★” 

A quick and simple game where you select one color and then the staff pulls out one color. If the colors match then you get a free drink ticket! (ΦωΦ)

Anyway, there is still much more to look at around the café! The walls are lined with scenarios and storyboards from the series – all are free to photograph!

Take a look at the various documents and work that went into making the series!! Personally I loved the illustrations on this storyboard!

The illustrations used on the storyboard are different to the original character design illustrations but still rather different from the dolls as well! They have such a cute, unique appearance to them!! It’s quite fun to look along the storyboards remembering the various scenes from the show too! (*´▽｀*)

As this is also a GSC collaboration café, you can also find some Good Smile 15th Anniversary-related items while you are visiting! ♪

Nendoroid Akeno Misaki

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I’m really starting to get some Autumn vibes now! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Akeno Misaki!

From the popular anime series ‘HIGH SCHOOL FLEET’ comes a Nendoroid of the captain of the Harukaze – Akeno Misaki! She is dressed up in her Yokosuka Girls’ Marine High School uniform and comes with three different face plates for all sorts of different scenes. She comes with her standard smiling expression, a shouting expression that suits the proud captain of the Harukaze as well as a surprised expression based on when she was under increasing pressure in the series!

Optional parts include the captain’s hat that proves she is captain of the ship as well as binoculars. A compass is also included allowing you to pose Akeno navigating on the bridge of the Harukaze! Last but not least, the Great Captain ‘Isoroku’ the cat is also included to display with her, and can be displayed sitting on the compass as well has being held by Akeno!

“Harukaze, set sail!”

Living by the sea, protecting the sea, and journeying across the sea… the Blue Mermaids that protect the seas in their ship Harukaze! The captain of the ship is none other than this adorable Akeno Misaki who is now joining the Nendoroid world! ♥

She comes with all sorts of different parts even including parts that let you display her hugging the series mascot character – Isoroku!! Not to mention those eyes that are simply sparkling!! You can feel the youth!! The careful sculpting of her twin-tails as well as the Yokosuka Girls’ Marine High School uniform with a lovely blue pleated skirt and red scarf all come together to make sure an adorable, detailed Nendoroid!

Also note the little bit of skin you can see from the opening in between the skirt! ☆

From this angle you can also see that the school emblem near her neck as well as the Harukaze symbol on her shoulder have been included on the Nendoroid design! On the other shoulder there is also something that you might find in some of the photos below! (´∀｀*)

Anyway, Akeno is well known to be quite an emotional captain and in order to get that across on the Nendoroid she comes with some lovely face plates! Let’s take a closer look at them!! (∩・∀・)∩

Her second expression…

Much more serious, confident eyes and a shouting face! (/ω＼)

As you can see you can change the super cute version of Akeno into the cool side of Akeno as she gets ready for some operations on sea! I can just imagine her cute voice in my head now! “Because I’m the captain of the Harukaze”! ♡

She also comes with a compass to recreate the look of the Harukaze’s bridge!

The top of the compass can also be removed to have Isoroku posed sitting on the top! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

Moving onto her third expression…
A surprised expression!

This expression together with the included binoculars allow you to recreate a certain scene from the series that fans may remember!!

As you can see, she comes with quite a selection of optional parts! (´□｀｡)

The Harukaze model ship can be displayed together with her standard expression to great effect!

You can line up all the parts to create a scene that really brings out the Haifuri atmosphere! ♡

Shishiou

Greetings everyone!
Chan-shuu from Good Smile Company’s planning team here! (@gscs_hirase)

With big Summer event rush is almost coming to a close, and I’m already ready to start saving up for the next set of events! But anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

The 1/8th Scale Shishiou!

From the popular browser and smartphone game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Shishiou based on his standard standing pose from the game.
His powerful yet slim legs, long wavering cape blowing in the wind, the even the nue creature on his back have been faithfully sculpted and painted to create a perfect rendition of Shishiou and all his charms in figure form. Be sure to add him to your collection!

“Just leave it to me, the great Shishiou!”

As with the previous scale figures from Touken Ranbu -ONLINE- the figure is posed in his standard illustration from the game!

▼This is how he looks from the back!

▲ The ‘nue’ has such an incredible presence! 

The nue is one of the most characteristic elements of Shishiou – the mysterious creature that rests on his shoulder with an undeniable presence! You can see from the back that the nue covers up around half of Shishiou’s body – it’s not a small creature! ( ･`ω･´)

▲Such a youthful, confident expression!

Shishiou’s young, innocent look has been preserved so nicely on the figure, with the gentle grin as well as a gleam of light that fills his eyes with confidence all faithfully included on the design! His rather unique hairstyle and the back tie-up of his hair really bring out his stylish side!!

△ This angle just blocks off his eyes, but still shows the lovely grin that shows off his teeth giving him a bit of a mischievous look!

▼Next let’s take a look at his body!

▲Large buttons and an emblem!

Shishiou’s sword crest shines beautifully on his chest, and the four golden buttons on his outfit also really catch the eye! The buttons are not just painted with a flat gold, but in fact have a very slight light-dark gradient to make them look even more shiny!! He really is such a work of art! (;゜∀゜)=3

▲ The red armor on his left arm!

It looks so awesome!! I would seriously try and wear this myself if it actually existed! The slightly more vibrant crimson rope tied around the middle is a similar color to the armor itself yet it still makes such a lovely accent.

▲ Nue & Sword!

A more direct look at the nue’s face! Just seeing this would probably make me run away from the battle before it even began! ((((；゜Д゜))))

Just as you’d expect from a ‘black-laquered’ sword, it has a lovely shiny lacquered appearance and a high-class black color that suits Shishiou so beautifully!

▲ Lovely long legs!

The curves from his thighs down to his toes have such lovely proportions, an the difference between the covered leg and the bare leg make for a lovely point of contrast! Note the ankle of the right foot and then move over to the left and enjoy the amazing sculpt of the creases in the material!!

△ The armor on his right knee is similar in design to the left elbow armor. The various textures you can experience really make the figure such a pleasure to look at!

▲ His cloak blowing in the wind! ♪

The sculpt makes it really look like the wind is gently blowing the cloak up in the air, giving you a little peek at the material on the inside of the cloak! It’s a little hard to tell from this angle, but the yellow rope tied around his hips also makes use of a gradient paint job! The ever so slight gradients give the figure a little extra depth that really helps them to stand out!
