Nendoroid Co-de: Kashu Kiyomitsu & Yamatonokami Yasusada -Hanamaru- Uchiban Co-de (Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru-)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at two upcoming Nendoroid Co-de figures from Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-!

Nendoroid Co-de: Yamatonokami Yasusada -Hanamaru- Uchiban Co-de
& Nendoroid Co-de: Kashu Kiyomitsu -Hanamaru- Uchiban Co-de

“Our citadel is the Hanamaru today too”

Unfortunately the ‘Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru-‘ anime series came to an end last year, but there are still figures from the series on the way! Both Kashu Kiyomitsu & Yamatonokami Yasusada are being released as Nendoroid Co-de figures wearing their uchiban outfits!

For those who are not sure what Nendoroid Co-de are, they are more simply Nendoroids that don’t have all the articulation and are instead in a static pose! You can take them right out of the package and put them on display just like that! The face plates can still be swapped out with other Nendoroids through, and the neck still features a joint for adding different nuances!

Anyway, let’s take a closer look at each of them!

Nendoroid Co-de: Yamatonokami Yasusada
-Hanamaru- Uchiban Co-de

▲ He is posed in the midst of tying up his dark blue haori jacket! He has the strap held in his mouth to bring out that playful side of his personality! (*´∀`*)ﾎﾟｯ

▲The lovely bushy look of his ponytail hair looks great in Nendoroid size!

From the back you can get a better idea as to what exactly he is tying up! The strap comes out to be really small in Nendoroid size but even so we have ensured the design has remained nice and detailed! Plus the hakama has been painted with a slight gradient! (｀・ω・´)

The figure is based on the first key visual that was revealed for the anime series, so if you look at him from this angle it makes for a faithful rendition of that illustration!

Nendoroid Co-de: Kashu Kiyomitsu
-Hanamaru- Uchiban Co-de

▲Kashu’s kimono has a nice blend of his red image color and just look at that stunning gaze! The kimono is actually the same design as Yamatonokami, but the colors and way he is wearing it are different which leads to a rather different appearance! ♪

Plus you can also use this expression with the previously released Nendoroid Kashu Kiyomitsu allowing for even more display options!! As a side note, this Nendoroid was completely re-sculpted from the ground up based on the anime series designs, so there were no parts that are re-used for the Nendoroid Co-de Kashu!

▲ Kashu-kun has already managed to tie his strap up! A very cute tie as well!! The creases all over the material, little straps of the sandals and various other little details really make him special!!

▲ The hair just slightly brushing over his eyes gives him a rather sexy look! His left hand is actually posed slightly adjusting the length of the strap which of course makes it such a nice match to display him with Yamatonokami Yasusada!

Nendoroid Sayo Samonji (Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-)

Hello everyone!! Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Thanks to everyone who just tuned in to the live broadcast!
Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Sayo Samonji!

From the popular browser and smartphone game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the sword who has dedicated his life to revenge, Sayo Samonji! He comes with three face plates including his standard expression, a combat expression as well as an embarrassed expression based on the illustration used for the one year anniversary illustration.

His sword can be displayed both sheathed or drawn, and he comes with both his unique hat as well as a persimmon fruit which he can hold. Special stickers to display him injured are also included allowing for all sorts of situations! Be sure to add him to your collection!

“Is there someone… you want to take revenge on?”

The youngest of the three ‘unlucky brothers’, Sayo Samonji is joining the Nendoroids! His sharp, serious eyes as well as his unique outfit and tie in his hair… everything about his character has been carefully converted into Nendoroid size and it suits the design so nicely! (∩・∀・)∩

Even the dog-shaped plate on his knee has been faithfully sculpted onto the Nendoroid! Not to mention the accessories around his chest and hips!

Also note the left sleeve mostly covered up by his outfit!

In order to change this part from a straight arm to a bent arm you need to first remove the straight arm from the blue part and switch it our for the bent arm! This might make more sense if you can see the parts! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

I hope you see what I’m trying to get across here!

Even though the sleeves are mostly covered up by the blue part, there are special upper arm parts made to differentiate the position of the tear in the sleeve depending on whether you make use of the bent arm or the straight arm!! Talk about being attentive to details!! ε=(｡・д・｡)

His rather characteristic hat is included and the straps of the hat are made of rubber to prevent them getting in the way of any poses!

In addition, his stand comes with a special attachment part to hold the hat up ensuring there isn’t too much of a burden on the figure due to the large hat!

Anyway, moving on to his face plates – along with the standard expression we have used up until now he also comes with a combat expression!

Even sharper eyes and gritted teeth! He isn’t going to let his opponent get away without revenge!

Even as a Nendoroid he has a nice quick and nimble appearance to him!

Moving onto his third expression…

An embarrassed expression with blushing cheeks!

The eyes are also looking a little upward which suits the fact that he is a short character, as it makes it look like he is looking up at his big brothers… expressions like this make it so easy for the imagination to run wild!

You’ll also notice he is holding a persimmon fruit which is also included! The fruit comes from his uchiban outfit from the game! ♪

Plus as you may have noticed his hat can be removed!

But that’s not all! He also comes with alternate hair parts which allow you to display him wearing the hat as well!! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

▲ The alternate parts are slightly flatter to stop the hat bumping against them!

By the way, the back hair is also fitted with joints!

▲ Simply match the hair to your pose! ♥

The front of his hair is also sculpted with a slightly dynamic appearance which makes it look a bit like the wind is blowing through it, which really helps to bring action scenes to life!

His base is round with his emblem on it, just like the previous Touken Ranbu Nendoroids! ♪

As if all this wasn’t enough, he also comes with a set of ‘injured stickers’!

▲ You’ll have to stick these on yourself if you want to use them!

Nendoroid Yamanbagiri Kunihiro (Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-)

Greetings everyone! I have recently discovered that wrapping up one’s face is very useful for stopping the cold! Chan-shuu from Good Smile Company’s planning team here! (@gscs_hirase)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the most recent addition to ORANGE ROUGE’s Touken Ranbu -ONLINE- Nendoroid line-up…

Nendoroid Yamambagiri Kunihiro!

From the popular browser and smartphone game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the powerful sword who thinks too little of himself – Yamambagiri Kunihiro!

He comes with three face plates including his standard expression, a combat expression as well as an embarrassed expression based on his line “Don’t call me pretty!”. Additionally, his sword can be displayed both sheathed or drawn allowing for various different situations. Be sure to add him to your collection!

“I… am no fake.”

The uchigatana that is more than strong enough but has a bit of a self-esteem issue is joining the Nendoroid series! The cloth he has wrapped around his body and head has been faithfully included and specially designed to not get in the way of the articulation allowing for all sorts of different poses while still keeping the unique shape of his character!

If you look close you’ll also notice that his pants and the cloth have been sculpted with slight damages to them, keeping even the smallest details in tact on the Nendoroid – you can even see the small little hole in the hood near his right eye!

The damaged appearance as well as the slight change in color along the edges with a gentle gradient helps to capture the appearance from the original illustration quite nicely! There is a parting line on the back on the prototype, but this line is planned to be removed from the actual version!

▼ Next up we have a combat pose!

▲ A confident expression for combat!

This expression is based on the combat illustration from the game and makes use of his ‘combat’ expression! Compared to his standard expression he suddenly looks a lot more determined and ready for a battle!! (;ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

Also note the details on his outfit, such as the white stripes on his jacket that go all the way along to his back! Each with two lines each time!! The intricate pattern on the tassets have also been carefully converted into Nendoroid size!

Like the previous Touken Nendoroids you can choose to display Yamambagiri with his sword drawn or sheathed! This also means that you can display him with his right hand holding the sword and his left hand holding the scabbard – it makes it look like he has just drawn his sword for a fight!

▼ Next up we have his third expression…

▲ An Embarrassed Expression!

The way he is averting his eyes with a slight blush… it captures the line “Don’t call me pretty!” perfectly!! This expression isn’t actually seen in the game, and was just based on that specific line!(*´ω｀*)

▲The hood comes in a second version!

This alternate version allows you to cover up more of his face which works together with the embarrassed expression so nicely! The way he is just peeking out slightly shows his embarrassment all the more!

▲ A base with Yamambagiri’s symbol!

Just like all the previously released Nendoroids from Touken Ranbu, Yamambagiri comes with a special base that features his sword symbol printed on the top!

By the way, you may have noticed that today’s review featured some amazing Japanese-themed Nendoroid-sized backgrounds! This is thanks to this amazing playset that went up for rerelease today!

Monoyoshi Sadamune (Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-)

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I can’t remember the last time I tried looking for a four-leaf clover. I still remember giving up on finding one and instead making a flower crown out of white clovers when I was much younger!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

The 1/8th Scale….
Monoyoshi Sadamune!

From the popular browser and smartphone game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Monoyoshi Sadamune based on his standard standing illustration from the game! His gentle expression, nimble hands and feet, soft curly hair and various other details have all been faithfully included for the perfect rendition of Monoyoshi Sadamune – the sword said to bring good luck. Be sure to add him to your collection!

“My name is Monoyoshi Sadamune! Allow me to bring you some good luck!”

A scale figure of the short sword that brings good luck and likes to help out – Monoyoshi Sadamune! ♡

⇒ PRODUCT DETAILS

The white areas of his outfit have feature a lovely pearl paint that makes him stand out so beautifully. The frills on his collar, the unique sleeves and creases all over the outfit have all been sculpted so carefully to create this light, gentle sculpt that suits Monoyoshi so very well!

The slightest little ups and downs have been faithfully sculpted on areas such as the armor on his shoulders and arms, and the black areas contrast so nicely with the white. Once the gold areas are added in as well the whole design jumps to live with such a majestic, gorgeous appearance! ♪

Such soft, silky looking hair and a beautiful body line…!

While the figure is in a rather simple standing pose, the detail put into the outfit, accessories and pose create a lovely dynamic effect that makes the figure look like it could just jump to life! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

▲ Personally I love the slack area of hit skirt around the hips!

All the small details of his hair have also been included, from the way each of the curls comes out to the soft, fine appearance of the hair! Such a pleasure to look at! ♡

Another detail that can’t be ignored… (/ω＼)

The pattern of the fabric around his legs!

The original design from the illustration has been captured in perfect details, plus you can see the pattern all the way to the back as well! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ ~~I get the feeling this is going to be quite a mission for mass production!~~

Another impressive detail is the attention to detail of the boots! The way they are tied up makes it really look like the laces are pulling tightly on the lovely white boots, and the overall sculpt really makes you imagine that their is a foot inside the shoes!

When it comes to transforming an illustration into a figure it can often be very difficult to keep the same feeling of the illustration… but that is one thing that Max Factory’s sculptor Nanako is amazing at accomplishing!

The previously released Tsurumaru Kuninaga was also sculpted by Nanako, and also captured the atmosphere so perfectly! ヽ(*´Д｀*)ﾉ

Anyway, let’s get back to Monoyoshi with a closer up of his lovely face! ♪

Such an innocent, polite looking smile that captures his personality so nicely!! I feel luckier just knowing he is standing beside me looking on with this expression! (´□｀｡)

Nendoroid Monoyoshi Sadamune

This is my third blog written for Kahotan Blog now! I’m going to be taking a look at ORANGE ROUGE‘s latest figure…

Nendoroid Monoyoshi Sadamune!!

From the popular browser and smartphone game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a Nendoroid of Monoyoshi Sadamune – the sword said to bring good luck to those who wield it!

He comes with three expressions including his standard expression, a combat expression as well as a cheerful smiling expression based on his line “Smiles are best! You should smile too, Master!”. Additionally, his sword can be displayed both sheathed or drawn allowing for various different action poses. Be sure to add him to your collection!

“Yes, I shall bring you the best of luck!”
The wakizashi Monoyoshi Sadamune is joining the Nendoroid series!

This is actually the first Nendoroid of a wakizashi in the Touken Ranbu -ONLINE- series! He has a lovely white outfit with contrasting black equipment with gold highlights that give off a lovely majestic appearance!

The pale pink color of his hair as well as it’s curly appearance has been faithfully kept on the Nendoroid design! It looks so lovely and soft I wish I could ruffle my fingers through it!! (*´Д`)

The long strand that twirls out from the nape of his neck has been sculpted to carefully curl to the side so that it doesn’t get in the way of the stand… and so that you can see it from the front!

▲High-class Equipment

The right arm on Monoyoshi’s characteristic outfit really stands out the its gold and black design! The black areas are painted with a glossy paint to create a lacquered appearance, and Monoyoshi’s crest and the grid pattern have a very noble looking gold coloring to them!

The areas on his wrist and elbows are the fabric parts of the outfit, which are represented with a peal paintwork without a matte finish!

▲ Drawn and Sheathed Swords Included!

Just like all the previous Touken Ranbu Nendoroids, Monoyoshi comes with both a sheathed and drawn version of his sword. The handle makes use of a dark brown metallic paint with a small golden ornament in the middle which is a lovely little highlight! The actual blade of the sword even has tiny little markings all long it! (;゜∀゜)

This pose is based on his combat pose from the game! You can pose him with his sword held in his right hand and the scabbard in his left! The hip joint is the same kind included in Nendoroid Tsurumaru Kuninaga that allows impressive articulation without compromising the appearance of his outfit!

This angle also gives you a good look at the salmon pink tuft of hair that falls over his right cheek! ( ･ㅂ･)و ̑̑

▲ A Combat Expression!

Quite the change from his smiling expression, but one that shows that he is also ready for combat! （≧∀≦＊）

▲ Second Battle Pose!

With the right combination of parts you create a pose similar to his awakened pose from the game! The bent leg part is a completely separate part that is swapped out with his standard foot part! for a more dynamic appearance!

As with all the previous Nendoroids from the series, Monoyoshi comes with a special round base that includes a print of his sword crest.

Okurikara

Greetings everyone!

This is my second blog and I’m still getting used to the ropes but I think everything is getting smoother now!! Today I’m going to be taking a look at ORANGE ROUGE’s latest product…

The 1/8^th Scale…

Okurikara!

From the popular browser game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Okurikara based on his standard standing pose from the game.

The figure faithfully captures Okurikara’s aloof expression, darker skin tone and the characteristic tattoo of the Kurikara Dragon on his arm to bring out his unique charm and personality for fans to enjoy by their side! Be sure to add him to your collection!

“I am Okurikara. There is nothing else to say.”

The dark-skinned uchigatana ‘Okurikara’ as a scale figure! His outfit that looks a bit like a ‘gakuran’ jacket and his long hair covering up his one eye as he glares out the other have all been faithfully preserved in the figure!!

As with the previous scale figures from Touken Ranbu -ONLINE- the figure is based on his standard standing pose from the game! Okurikara has that intimidating gaze and one foot forward in a pose that makes him look ready to react to anything! (ﾟＡﾟ😉

The creases in his jacket, rolled-up sleeves and warm loose waist-cloth wavering at his legs make for such a manly appearance! The tattoo on his left arm also looks amazing… but I’ll take a closer look at that a little later!

“I have no intention of being friends.”

The powerful, cold gaze just seems to match his line from the game so perfectly! The tightly closed mouth has a bit of a frowning look to it, yet there is something about his eyes that shows he has a somewhat gentle side to his personality! His expression tells so much!

Note the red tips of his hair at the back!

The very top of his head has black hair, but as it flows down to his neck it gradually fades into a dark red!

Also take a close look at that neck while we’re here! Just look at those masculine neck muscles, his collarbone and the Adam’s apple slightly visible from this angle!! It’s such incredible detail!! (;ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

The paintwork also emphasizes the shadows making everything stand out so nicely!

Next up we have his jacket!

The jacket has a half-glossy black paint with shiny golden buttons and highlights that match beautifully! The necklace also matches up with the jacket for a simple yet stylish outfit – the necklace even has the small Sanskrit characters carefully carved into it! The white V-neck T-shirt also contrasts with the black jacket so effectively! （つД+ *）

Even the shirt has very slight shadows painted on to it! This had to be done rather carefully to ensure that the darker areas did not end up looking like a dirty shirt instead of shadows. Seeing the work done on this figure really shows just what artisans those who worked on it are!

As he is sculpted in a confident pose pushing his stomach out the creases on the back of his jacket have been carefully sculpted to match that pose.

You can also see the way the jacket has collected up at his elbows due to the way he has rolled up his sleeves – the movement of his body is so clear even over all his clothes.

His tassets and waist-cloth!

From the front, the purple cloth tied around his waist really stands out…

From the back the wavering of the waist-cloth stands out!

The armor on his upper legs is known as ‘tassets’, and you can tell from the sculpt and painting that they have a very different texture! They have a much heavier appearance to them! If you look really close you can even see the layer underneath the tassets is also sculpted onto the figure!

Then we move onto my personal favorite area…

The tattoo of the Kurikara Dragon on his left arm!

In his hand he grips his sword with it’s beautiful purple scabbard and golden guard… but what really pulls the eye is the tattoo along his arm – the tattoo of the Kurikara Dragon, which is where Okurikara gets his name from!

Also take a nice close look at the muscles on his wrist! Lovely! (*´ω｀*)

The tattoo has actually been redone again and again trying to get it to follow his bone and muscle structure as naturally as possible! I think we ended up capturing it really nicely in the end though! His black leather gloves and the tightly gripped fist inside are also one of his many highlights!

His pants and shoes!

Even all the way down here the sculpting of the creases is incredible!! The pants are not too loose and not too tight – just the right size to cover up the ankles!

The shoes really look like they are made from leather thanks to the glossy paintwork – but it’s a very different kind of shine when compared to the jacket! It looks like he just shined his shoes to perfection!!

Nendoroid Mikazuki Munechika: Cheerful Ver.

Hello and to those who don’t know me it’s nice to meet you! There might be some of you that remember me back when I took over the blog for a day quite some time ago…

My name is Chan-shuu (@gscs_hirase), a member of Good Smile Company’s planning team! You may have read the introduction blog that Kahotan wrote for me the other day! I will be writing an article for the blog on weekends around two times a month!

With that said, the first item I will be taking a look at is…

Nendoroid Mikazuki Munechika: Cheerful Ver.!

We wish to express our condolences to those who have been affected by the earthquakes that struck Kumamoto prefecture in April 2016. We want to work with our fans to bring back the cheer to Japan by bringing back the ‘Cheerful JAPAN!’ charity project, to help raise funds to aid relief efforts in the Kyushu region.
This product is released as a joint charity project with Nitroplus and DMM.com.Nendoroid Mikazuki Munechika: Cheerful Ver. comes with a banner and folding fan as optional parts, as well as a lovely smiling expression to spread the cheer! The Nendoroid will also include badges of Nendoroid Doudanuki Masakuni, Nendoroid Hotarumaru, Nendoroid Heshikiri Hasebe and Nendoroid Petite Kasen Kanesada.

Here we have Nendoroid Ichigo Hitohuri holding the banner! He just shipped out to fans last week!! The smiling expression fits with the cheerful theme rather nicely! (*´∀`*)

Nendoroid Heshikiri Hasebe

Hey, everyone.

It’s me, Kaho – who some of you may have just seen via live webcast. （@gsc_kahotan）

Now on to business!

Today we’ll be taking a look at the latest Touken Danshi figure from Orange Rouge…

Nendoroid Heshikiri Hasabe!

From the popular browser game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a Nendoroid of Heshikiri Hasebe – the character who follows his master’s orders to the letter.He comes with three expressions including his standard expression, a combat expression as well as a gentlemanly expression based on his line from the game, “As you wish”. Additionally, his sword can be displayed both sheathed or drawn allowing for various different action poses. Be sure to add him to your collection!

The sword incredibly loyal to his master, Heshikiri Hasabe is finally joining the Nendoroid line-up!

Those wisteria colored eyes framed with gallantly arched eyebrows, that casually tousled hair – despite the SD form-factor he’s retained all of his most distinguishing features!

Those soft and gentle eyes glistening with the spirit of victory are really impressive (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The white gloves, pin-tucked shirt, and cummerbund are all quite refined but…

The way his long-tailed coat and those finely detailed pieces of armor have just a touch of movement, he’s able to retain that classic look even while in “action”★

He comes with a sword in its sheath as well as one that’s drawn, so you can use the one that’s right for the pose you’re after♪

△His clothes fit so well, making this standing pose look great!

As I mentioned above, in addition to the standard face,
he also comes with a “battle face,” rife with the ferocity of battle (/ω＼)

Those piercing eyes glaring the enemy… are a stark contrast compared to his cool and collected look from before!

This is another part you don’t want to miss –

You can see it as he’s right about to swing or draw his sword…

The strip of bare skin showing between his glove and sleeve!

The rest of his body is completely covered,

so seeing just that bit of bare skin is rather exciting (´□｀｡)

His fierce face burning with fighting spirit, and wrists you can see just because he’s in a battle mode stance… I want you to enjoy them both to the absolute fullest!

Moving on! Remember that “contrast” that I was talking about earlier…

Yamatonokami Yasusada

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I really feel like going to Kyoto!! I met with a friend from my university in Kyoto the other day and now I really want to go visit!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at ORANGE ROUGE’s latest figure!

The 1/8th Scale…
Yamatonokami Yasusada!

From the popular browser game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Yamatonokami Yasusada based on his standard standing pose from the game.His calm and collected expression, graceful stance and equipment painted to retain its lacquered appearance have all been faithfully recreated in figure form, bringing the charm of Yamatonokami Yasusada to fans to enjoy by their side! Be sure to add him to your collection!

Not easy to handle, but a good sword.”

That blue and white haori coat and gentle expression from the original illustration has been preserved perfectly!! The sword was originally owned by the Shinsengumi captain, Okita Souji – Yamatonokami Yasusada is becoming a 1/8th scale figure!

His gentle looking blue eyes, eyebrows with a strong will behind them, the beauty spot under his left eye… and that cute smiling mouth that makes me imagine his voice!! All the charms from the game have been faithfully preserved in figure form for fans to enjoy! The different textures of the outfit have also been beautifully crafted!! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Let’s see how he looks from the back! ♪

The front of his hair is sticking out to the sides, and the ponytail made in the image of a Pomeranian’s tail looks so lovely and fluffy from the back! While the pose is just a rather simple standing pose, the sculpt of his haori and hair wafting about in the wind gives the figure a lovely feeling of motion! (´□｀｡)

They say he is a sword that is not easy to handle, but the gentle and quiet expression on his face makes me think that he would be so easy to get along with! ♪

△ I’ve always liked the big jump between his standard and combat poses!

However! No matter how gentle he may appear, there are elements that clearly capture his masculine side as well!

Let’s start off with a simple example… (*´Д｀)=з

His neatly, short cut nails and somewhat bony fingers… not to mention the size of the hand itself!

This angle really makes the hand look so nice and manly!! Another part that has a rather masculine feel for me is his neck muscles! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

You can only get a glimpse of the neck through the scarf, but those muscles look so perfect!! They’re not huge or anything, but they are sticking out just enough to notice them!

The first time you look at him the expression and pose can make you think of him a bit too high on the cute scale…

But once you look at him in detail you can really tell he has been carefully sculpted as a male character!! A sword boy!!

Speaking of details… take a look at the tufty accessory on his front, or crests on his hands or the lacquered appearance of his chest armor…

Or the woven, thick appearance of his Japanese sandals…

Even the smallest accessories and details are so intricately sculpted!

As usual, the details on the sword itself – the scabbard, guard and grip are all amazing to look at as well! ♥︎

Plus looking from this angle you can see up his sleeve – the layer of clothing beneath the haori has also been sculpted! This kind of angle was never seen on the original illustration, showing you just one of the many new discoveries you can have when you change from a 2D illustration into a figure!! (´□｀｡)

The long arm covers that also cover up most of his hand even include the rings that go around his thumb and middle fingers! ♪

Nendoroid Hotarumaru

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

‘Hotaru’ means firefly in Japanese! Whenever I think of fireflies I remember seeing them at Shimogamo Shrine in Kyoto! They were so pretty!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Hotarumaru!☆

From the popular browser game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a Nendoroid of Hotarumaru – the character with a small body, but a very large sword. He comes with three expressions including his standard expression, a combat expression as well as an embarrassed, upset expression based on his line, “I’ll shrink if you keep petting me like that.”His sword can be displayed sheathed or drawn, and his trademark hat can be attached and removed as you see fit – he even comes with a miniature hat to display him holding the hat instead! Be sure to add him to your collection!

The family treasure kept in the ancient shrine of Mt. Aso is joining the Touken Ranbu Nendoroid series! ♪

The lovely green gradient of his eyes, his large trademark hat and everything else about his outfit has been carefully shrunk down to Nendoroid size while keeping all of his unique charm in tact! ♥︎

He looks so cute, and at the same time the colors of his outfit give him a much more formal appearance that contrasts really nicely!

The armor on his left arm is so detailed for its size! You can even see a kind of varnished appearance to it that adds a nice texture! (・∀・)

Anyway, let’s take a look from the back! ☆

The sword on his back has an impressive presence!

The Nendoroid itself is a little smaller than most Nendoroids to recreate his short stature, which makes the long sword stand out even more!!

The part of his cape draped over the sword has even been included with a gradient to yellow included!

△ The two layers of the cape also allow for a different nuance! ★

He looks great in his standard standing pose, but you also of course have the choice to display him with his sword drawn as well!

Battle mode Hotarumaru!

His second expression is a combat expression!! (/ω＼)

He comes with bent arms and legs which allow for rather dynamic combat poses! The eyes of this expression have a really strong will to them!
