Nendoroid Suigintoh

I’d like to let everyone know that I always make sure to get enough lactic bacterium! On that note, today I’m going take a look at the Nendoroid of the character who taught me how just how important lactic bacterium is…

Nendoroid Suigintoh!! ♡

From the anime series ‘Rozen Maiden’ comes a Nendoroid of the first of the Rozen Maiden dolls, Suigintoh! She comes with three expressions including her standard sneering expression, an upset expression and a chibi expression for some more comical scenes!

She also comes with a variety of optional parts, and her characteristic large wings are of course included! Be sure to pose her together with the previously released Nendoroid Shinku and have the two arguing in cute Nendoroid size!

Yahyaaa-（*´▽｀*）-aaaaah!!!

The second Nendoroid from the Rozen Maiden series, following on from Shinku!

The long-awaited Suigintoh in her jet black dress is here!! ♡

The frills all over her outfit have all been beautifully sculpted too! ♪

This is how she looks from the back! (｀・ω・´)

From the crosses and roses all over the outfit, her headdress, collar and even the tiny little rose on her front have all been so intricately sculpted! Every little piece of her Gothic-style outfit has been shrunk down to Nendoroid size!

Her billowing skirt and partially transparent wings are also not to be missed! ♪

(・∀・) “Have you noticed yet?”

We are joined by Gin-sama’s Planner:Yassan!

(や・∀・) “Suigintoh comes with two different types of wings!”

Now that you mention it… they did suddenly become much shorter!

(や・∀・) “The wings are seen at various different lengths in the series, and we wanted to allow that same feeling with the Nendoroid – at least to a certain degree! We decided to include a large and small version of her wings! Here is a comparison of the two!”

There is definitely a rather different nuance to her depending on which wings you choose! (*´Д｀)=з

(　・ω・） “By the way, these wings connect onto the back hair parts of the figure! Normally wings connect to the back, but these got in the way of the neck joint a bit, so we decided to have them connect to the hair parts instead!

We’re also joined by Suigintoh’s sculptor, Shashaki!!

Gin-sama is filled with intricate parts and amazing wings… but is there anything you particularly enjoyed sculpting, or want to point out to everyone?

(し ・ω・） “I think the folded leg parts came out looking really cute! They also have a mysterious sexy appeal to them… I’ve really come to enjoy them!”

(´□｀｡) “It goes with the sneering face perfectly!!!”

Chan-shuu-senpai from the planning team is also here… he is a big fan of Gin-sama!

The alluring charm of Suigintoh…!

(´□｀｡ﾁｬﾝ) “I was in charge of the product photos for her… and I really couldn’t get enough photos of her with her legs folded glaring down at me!!”

(し ・ω・）”I was with him while he was working on the photos… he was rather… excited…”

Well we can’t deny that her little devilish look is adorable! ♡

(や・∀・) “It only gets better when you add Shinku into the scene!”

This pose really shows off her personality perfectly! ♡

(し・ω・） “She also comes with an annoyed expression which is my personal favorite! It captures her personality and fits the Nendoroid look really well!

A lovely expression! I can see it used for all sorts of scenes!

I shall try to feed her Pocky and she will just sit there glaring at me!! ★

I’m fairly certain she will finally give in and accept my gift!

Gin-sama was so cute when eating Pocky…

(や・∀・) “Her third expression is a chibi glaring expression – it’s also super cute!”

(や・∀・) “Using this expression together with the chibi expression from Shinku makes it look like the two are arguing!”

Even if they’re arguing… somehow looking at them makes me feel all happy inside…!

The hot summer days make me want to take a nice bath! Preferably in a hot spring… or a hot spring, or maybe even a hot spring! I really feel like visiting one more and more everyday…
It’s not just me trying to escape from the fact that WonFes is in 9 working days…!

Today I’ll be taking at a knight known as a fellow bath-lover…

Saber Extra! ♡

From the popular game ‘Fate/EXTRA’ comes a 1/7th scale figure of the heroine, Saber Extra!

She has been sculpted taking the stance of her ultimate move, ‘Aestus Domus Aurea: Golden Theater of the Deranged’, arranged carefully to convey her elegance and power through the figure. Her sexy crimson dress with large openings on the back, as well her semi-transparent petticoat have all been faithfully included on the figure.<

Oooooo （*´▽｀*） oooooh!!

The adorable servant who calls herself an Emperor, dressed in a beautiful red dress! The golden lining of the dress brings out the red so nicely, which is contrasted even more by her pale white skin!

The back of her outfit is magnificent!

Her deceptively showy outfit has been faithfully sculpted down to the smallest of details! (｀・ω・´)

This angle shows off the opening in her back, which gives a lovely look at her shoulder blades… the angle also gives a side look at her rather delicious bosom! But most of all… I want everyone to take note of the reverse side of her knees!! They are amazing! ( -ﾉｪ-)

The base features a powerful aura made in the image of her Noble Phantasm, Aestus Domus Aurea!

At first glance the pose shows more of an elegant stance… but noticing the energy swirling around at her feet shows off the immense power she truly has!! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

(・∀・) “Also take a close look at her expression!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Yassan from the planning team!

(・∀・) “Red Saber has a stuck-up, selfish side, but she also has a very lovable personality – we tried to incorporate that personality in the figure as best as possible! We also focused on getting her grace and elegance across!”

Those eyes are focused and ready for anything! (*´Д`)

(・∀・) ” There are so many things I really like about this figure, but I’ve picked out three that I want to show off in particular!”

– Sculpting of the Body –


(・∀・) “I think anyone will agree that the curves of her back and bottom are definitely one of the highlights!”

The shoulder blades seen through the back, and the unique backwards arched back make for a lovely pose! The skin also looks so very soft to the touch – it’s hard to imagine that it’s really just a figure! ♥

(・∀・) “Speaking of soft to the touch…”

Ta-tawawa…! っ(*´Д｀)=з

(・∀・) “Just look at how the tight fitting top squeezes the skin down! It’s quite the sight! The line up to her collarbone also just adds even more to the effect!”

– The Skirt –

It’s rather transparent! ＜●＞＜●＞

(・∀・) “Of course! The petticoat as a whole is made from semi-transparent parts to recreate the clear, see-through appearance!”

The ability to kind of be able to see… and yet not quite…
It really adds an extra something to the figure!

(・∀・) “Also take note of the details put into the folds of the skirt and petticoat!”

– Overall Balance –


(・∀・) ” Because she is in a rather unique pose with her upper body twisted around, we had to rework the overall balance a number of times!

She is posed preparing her Noble Phantasm, but as I mentioned before the pose has a very elegant appeal to it as well! (*´Д｀)=з

(・∀・) “The balance of the figure was something that came up a lot when working with the publisher’s supervision as well. We wanted to have a pose that kept a feeling of her dancing elegantly, light on her feet – while still leaving a proud and confident appearance too. Most of this came from how we balanced various parts of the body”


Now that you mention it, she way her skirt is fluttering around and the movements of her hands do look rather dance-like! The Aestus Domus Aurea sword could almost be seen as some kind of dancing tool instead of the weapon it truly is!

(・∀・) “I hope fans will enjoy adding this elegant Saber to their collections!”

Aircraft Carrier Wo-Class

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! The other day just before the typhoon came by Japan, I looked out the window to see a cloudy sky with a few hints of blue peeking out… it seemed like the perfect to take photos of Wo-Class!

 

Today I’ll be taking a look at the 1/8th scale Wo-Class! You can also take a look at Chan-shuu’s blog on her the other day! I decided to make use of the cloudy sky and the Skytree for today’s background!

Let’s start off with a look from each angle! (｀・ω・´)

Waaahhh…. (*´Д｀)=з

This figure is sculpted by Iwanaga Sakurako (Shokubutu Shojo-en), who is also responsible for other amazing figures such as Inori Yuzuriha and Hatsune Miku: Deep Sea Girl ver.! As usual the attention to detail is impeccable!

It feels more like I’m looking at some amazing sculpture in an art museum!

The way her ribs can be seen in front of the soft looking white skin….!

Her eyes seem to be looking far into the distance, and yet have a strong determination to them! They just suck you in… (/ω＼)

It’s a little hard to tell from the photos, but the eyes actually have a slight gloss to them, which almost makes them look a little bit wet.

She also looks amazing from the back!

The curves from her thighs down to the back of her knees… the lovely round bottom…. and the twist in her body adding stretches to her skin – they all make the figure feel so very real! (´□｀｡)

The look in her eyes makes her seem to be staring out distantly, as if staring out to the unknown human world… and yet while looking at her body you can’t help but notice all the human-like qualities… she is so similar and so mysterious all at the same time…

Staring at her for awhile makes me feel rather… peculiar… (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Plus! She also comes with an amazing base, made in the image of a raging ocean!

Just look at the power in the waves beneath her!!

Her large hat can even be removed for a rather different look! (o・ω・o)

* My background got all dark around here… (；´∀｀)

The merging of mechanical and organic on her design is simply fantastic! It literally gives me the chill to look at this!! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Even the included airships each seem to have a life of their own… (*´Д｀)=з

The rugged, bumpy looking skin, and the details on the blue eye section…. they leave me speechless,,,! Just look at them – the inside looks all mechanical like a camera lens or something! ♪

Nendoroid Petite: KanColle

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I’m counting the sleeps until Summer Break! It’s only next month, but I’m already looking forward to festivals and shaved ice!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at some figures that suit the Summer! ♡

Nendoroid Petite: KanColle!

From ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a set of cute little KanMusu, here to join the popular articulated ‘Nendoroid Petite’ series of trading figures! The six characters that were selected the most popular in Comptiq’s popularity polls are all in the set – Kongo, Haruna, Kaga, Kitakami, Zuikaku and Shokaku are all ready to set sail! Display your favorite characters in all sorts of places! ♪

Ooooooo-（*´▽｀*）-oooooh!!!

The six characters voted most popular by admirals in Comptiq have been shrunk down to adorable Nendoroid Petite size! They’re so cute and tiny, and yet all the detail of their ship parts has been faithfully preserved!! ♥

Let me take a closer look at them one-by-one! (｀・ω・´)

– Kongo –

“I am the English-born returnee, Kongo! Nice to meet you!”

Kongo of course already has a full-sized Nendoroid, but now fans can enjoy her in an even smaller size! Even so, the details on her outfit are spectacular!

“It’s our turn! Follow me! Everyone, keep up!”

Even each of the turrets on her back has been sculpted separately, and her rather unique hair style is incredibly intricate! (｀・ω・´)

To give you a little better idea for size, here she is displayed with Nendoroid Petite Mikudayo!!

Although the height remains the same as any other Nendoroid Petite, the huge ship parts give her a bit more overall volume! (； ･`ω･´)

Although I think Mikudayo is still winning in terms of presence…

– Haruna –

“If you’re happy with me, I’ll be glad to rejoin you any time!”

The third of the four Kongo-class battleships: Haruna! （*´▽｀*）

She has a similar pose to Medicchu Haruna, but definitely has a notably different chibi style! ♪

“I refuse to let you do as you please!”

I’ve always loved Haruna’s stern battle quotes! (●´∀｀●)

Once again, the details on the ship parts is fantastic, but Haruna also boasts incredibly dynamic hair flowing behind her as well as an adorable miko priestess outfit!

– Kitakami –

“I am… a brand new Kitakami. A more mature version – fully loaded with oxygen torpedoes.”

(・∀・) “We decided to go with the Kitakami Kai Ni Torpedo Cruiser, as I’m sure it is the most used among admirals!”

We’re joined by the product’s planner, Kyojin!

(・∀・) “We did include extra parts to half create the Kai Ni version of Kitakami on the Nendoroid version, but the Nendoroid Petite has outfit and all in the heavier version! I love this version of her!”

The short-sleeved sailor outfit does suit her very nicely! (´□｀｡)

“This is nice… I’m quivering with excitement! Thank you!”

Take note of her ship parts and the back of her uniform too! If you’re more of a fan of the long sleeved light cruiser version of Kitakami, then be sure to check out the full-size Nendoroid Kitakami as well! Currently up for preorder!

– Kaga –

“I’m aircraft carrier Kaga. You’re my Admiral? I have fairly high expectations of you.”

Kaga-san looks ready for action! Even in Petite form she keeps her confident air! ♡ This pose came from Kazama Kondou! (Comptiq 2013/10)

“Don’t group me with those 5th Division kids…”

Her ship deck is tiny and still has little details all over it! (ﾟＡﾟ;)
I get the feeling that separating all these colors for manufacturing is going to be quite the challenge!

(・∀・) “The last two are the sisters of the 5th Carrier Division!”

– Zuikaku –

“I am Zuikaku, the younger of the Shokaku-class aircraft carriers. They call me the ‘lucky aircraft carrier’, but that’s not true. I just give it my all no matter what! As long as I have planes, I’ll never lose!”

(・∀・) “Zuikaku seems more like a true archer than any of the other aircraft carriers! Her pose and outfit tell it all!

“Shokaku, what are yo- Ah! It’s you Admiral! W-What do you think you’re doing?! Do you want me to bomb you?!”

(・∀・) “Her ship deck, back parts and even the equipment on her feet are detailed down to the finest detail possible!”

– Shokaku –

“I am Shokaku, the first of the Shokaku-type carriers. I will strive together with Zuikaku to live up to the names of the first and second divisions.”

Shokaku is normally so gentle looking, but the Nendoroid is ready for combat! She is a very reliable older sister to Zuikaku! ♪ This pose is by Matsuryu! (Comptiq 2013/10)

(・∀・) “Shokaku is a gentle beauty at heart, but Matsuryu’s epic posing was just perfect to fit in with the set so we decided to make use of it! I know admirals out there will be proud to display this confident Shokaku too!

“Zuikaku, don’t bother the admiral too much, okay?”

Even her plane-shaped arrowheads are included, and the long silver hair looks magnificent!! (*´Д｀)=з

(・∀・) “They look great alone, but the two sisters definitely look best together!

Without a doubt! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

The Nendoroid Petites are trading figures, which means they are blind box – you won’t know who is inside until you have opened the box! You’ll just need to hope that you get both the sisters without too much effort!

(・∀・) “By the way, The Nendoroid Petite KanColle is also sold as a box of six… and buying a box of six will give you a little bonus too!”

Nanoha, Fate and Hayate: Yukata Ver.

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I saw a pear flavoured Gari-*ri-Kun Popsicle and realised that we are well into the summer! I relied a lot on them last year to get me through the heat, and I’m sure they will be needed again this year!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at some figures dressed for the Summer! ♪

Nanoha Takamachi: Yukata Ver., Fate Testarossa: Yukata Ver. and Hayate Yagami: Yukata Ver.!!

Oooooohhhh!!! （*´▽｀*）

The magical girls are all dressed up in yukatas together! Each of the yukatas have colors and patterns that match up with the respective characters as well!

They also come holding paper fans, balloon yoyos and candy apples to bring out the festival atmosphere!

Let’s take a closer look at them one-by-one! (｀・ω・´)

First up…

Nanoha Takamachi: Yukata Ver.

From the popular anime ‘Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the MOVIE 2nd’ comes a figure of Nanoha Takamachi wearing a yukata! The yukata provides a whole different charm to her standard barrier jacket appearance, and is packed with cuteness for fans to enjoy. A candy apple and folding fan are both included to help bring out the feeling of a Summer festival. Be sure to add this beautiful magical girl to your collection!

The yukata gives her a much more playful, innocent look compared to her normal barrier jacket! She looks ready to enjoy the festival! (｡・д・｡)

The light blue yukata with cherry blossom prints suits her beautifully! The fact that Raising Heart is a part of her belt is also a lovely touch!

She is holding a candy apple in her right hand!

Not only is the sticky, shiny appearance of the candy apple preserved in figure form, the intricate little fingers holding the stick are amazing too!

Another thing I just have to point out…!

Look at the curves you can make out even through the yukata!

The smooth and silky look of the fabric is also very nicely done! Great work FREEing!! The little peek of her leg is also a really high point for me! (*´Д`)

Fate Testarossa: Yukata Ver.

From the popular anime ‘Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the MOVIE 2nd A’s’ comes a figure of Fate Testarossa wearing a yukata! Fate has moved away from all the battles, allowing her beautiful smile to be enjoyed by fans in a much more gentle pose. Be sure to add this beautiful magical girl to your collection, and display her with Nanoha and Hayate from the same series!

Is she twisting around to look at me?! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Fate-chan has a rather mature look with an indigo yukata and bellflower prints!

The cute little feet and toes, and the delicious collarbone are stunning! She can be enjoyed from all sorts of different angles! ♪

That right foot standing up slightly on tippy toes!! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Fate-chan’s sash also features her intelligent device, Bardiche! ♪

She is sculpted holding a fan, and once again the delicate looking fingers are simply amazing! The creases along her arm are also fantastic!

But most of all that dynamic look that she really has just spun around to look behind her is fantastic! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ


Last but not least, we have…

Hayate Yagami: Yukata Ver.

 

From the popular anime ‘Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the MOVIE 2nd A’s’ comes a figure of Hayate Yagami wearing a yukata, which brings out a slightly different charm to her normal outfits. Be sure to add this beautiful magical girl to your collection, and display her with Nanoha and Fate from the same series!

A very light purple yukata with spider lily
and other flower prints! So prim, proper and adorable! ♥

I can just hear her voice playing through my head… “What? The yoyo’s for me? Thanks!”

The tight look of the yukata captures her curves all the way up her thighs!

Just like the other two, her yukata design once again also features her device, Schwertkreuz! ♡

She also looks lovely from the back! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

There is no point in putting this into words…!

She looks lovely from any angle, but I definitely think that the look from the back is once of the best! It really gives off a strong feeling of Summer time nostalgia!

The way her legs are visible from the bottom of the yukata is also great!

The elegant yukata is what allows you to enjoy the ladylike charm of Hayate all the more!(´□｀｡)

She and the others are simply a fantastic set!!

Aircraft Carrier: Wo-Class

Hello there everyone!

Chanshuu from Good Smile Company’s Planning team here! I seem to be appearing on this blog more and more often recently… perhaps a name change is in order!

Anyway, today I will be taking a look at a figure that I really, really wanted to review on the blog! Let me get started with my review of the 1/8th scale…

Aircraft Carrier: Wo-Class!!

Finally a scale figure of Wo-Class-chan!——–(ﾟ∀ﾟ)——-!!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -Kan Colle-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the Abyssal’s Aircraft Carrier Wo-Class. The figure preserves the Wo-Class’ noble demeanor from the game, with an original pose which creates a mystical yet imposing atmosphere! Three of her aircraft are also included to pose floating around her, and her large hat can be removed for a rather different appearance!

I am not only a fellow admiral but a huge fan of KanColle myself , and if I ever got an opportunity to join up with the Abyssal I know my first choice of any of the characters would be Wo-Class! I know there are many admirals out there that feel the same way too!

Face Close-Up!

Her pale, almost translucent skin and beautiful sky blue eyes are so beautiful! Although the expression itself is rather expressionless, she is definitely looking ahead with a clear goal in her eyes!

Ranran from the Production Team was the one who worked on her expression, and in order to make her look more like the military vessel of the deep seas, she actually specifically left a glossy look to her eyes and lips which came out looking amazing!! ( ・∀・)

Her Legs and Base!

Her long slim legs actually have a rather cute design to them as they descend into the boots below! The feet seem to have her walking on the water with the rough ripples spreading outward, getting rougher and rougher the further they become in a rather mysterious phenomenon. The base alone is more than enough to make you picture the raging seas in your mind… truly a work of art!

I’d love to focus more on her amazing body as well… but I’ve decided I have to leave some parts of the figure for Kahotan to look at too! She will be upping a special blog this Sunday about Wo-Class!!

Now I’m going to focus a bit more on the huge hat upon her head!

Her Hat from the Side!

Her hat has a fairly peculiar design that combines an organic and mechanical appearance all into one! The turret on the side shows off the more human, technological side of her design!

Her Hat from the Back!

The back features some pipes which I can only assume are for power – they have a kind of living, vein-like look to them yet are held by metallic rings as well. The unbalance between living and mechanical is amazing!! ( ・∀・)

Her Hat from the Top + Airships!

I didn’t really mention it before, but Wo-Class also comes with three ship-borne airships to display with her! As expected of an Aircraft Carrier! They have a kind of whale-like design to them, with two blue eyes on top just like Wo-class’ hat!

3x Airships!

These are based directly on the animations from the game! They might be small in comparison to Wo-Class, but they are still impressively detailed! The three of them together make for quite a magnificent view!

The mechanical part of the ships is represented by their machine guns, with the teeth just beside them to keep up the incredible black/white and inorganic/mechanical contrast! I think these things are more like people than they are creatures of the sea…. （（（’Д’；）））

Well? What did you think? There is actually still one additional aspect to this figure that makes her even more special…!

Her hat can be removed!!!

This gives you a lovely clear look at her expression…!

Japan Expo 2014

I safely returned to Japan after my trip to France early this morning! I managed to sleep rather soundly on the plane home too, so I’m not even feeling the jet lag!

But anyway, as I’m sure most of you already know that I had been in France since the 30th June! The reason for that was of course that I was attending…

– The Japan Expo Event Hall –

– Event Hall Entrance –

There were two different entrances to the event hall, but this was the one that I always used! If you look hard you can see an advert for ‘All You Need Is Kill’! ♪

– GSC Booth #1 –

The display area featured a lovely open glass design! You can see exactly what was on display over on my Twitter account!

Some of the series even had full dioramas made to display with them!

– GSC Booth #2 –

We even had a few colored prototypes brought through from Japan to show everyone in France! figma Racing Miku 2013 EV MIRAI ver., Nendoroid Saori Takebe and Nendoroid Yukari Yakumo!

However! I also want to point out the top section of this display!


A special Nendoroid explanation panel!! (｡・д・｡)

There was also one for the figma series beside it! These were made to explain what the Nendoroid and figma series are all about!

The area next to this was used to show a few videos, including some of the work done in the factories in China as well as Good Smiles TV adverts. The video of the factories painting the gradient onto some hair parts seemed to really attract peoples attention and got some great reactions as well!


– GSC Booth #3 –

The items on sale were on display on the side with a busy pathway beside it! Each of the products had a lovely background to match it, showing off Maritan’s lovely artistic taste! ☆

Maritan is the kind and charming figure lover who is in charge of advertising, PR and the blog for Good Smile France! ♡

– GSC Booth: Sales Counter –

This photo was taken on the first day of the event! There was a queue just seconds after the event started!

We also had an adorable Kongou-chan handing out sales lists…!! (*´Д`)

After just the first day around half of the items were already sold out!!

A big thank you to everyone who was at the event!!!

According to our French staff members, people don’t get to ‘line-up’ very often in France, so some of those lining up actually found it a rather exiting venture!

– Hands-on Time! –

A section of the GSC booth was used for a special ‘Hands-on’ time, where guests could come by and ask questions! On the other hand, we also got to ask them where they bought figures, what anime series they were enjoying at the moment and all sorts of other things! It was a very enjoyable corner! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

One guest really loved figmas but couldn’t quite get the posing right, so Akane Eiseihei gave a posing lecture for everyone!

We were even asked for our autographs, which let to a rather spur-of-the-moment autograph session too!

Akane Eiseihei had an awesome looking signature.. whereas I just wrote my name in Katakana… ;_;

– Japan Expo Outfits –


The staff were wearing matching happi coats!

The French team prepared these lovely outfits for the event! ♡

This photo was taken on the last day, so it was rather creased… but that just show how much it was used and loved! (；´∀｀)


– Together with the France Team –

Everyone was so kind! Such a lovely group of people!

They were happy to help me out with a smile even though my terrible French and English…

A huge thank you to all of you!!

– FREE HUGS! –

People all over the event held ‘FREE HUGS’ signs! There were people being hugged all over the event!! Even I was hugged while being told something like ‘Did you come from Japan? Have fun!” in French! ( -ﾉｪ-)

– Itasha! –

There were even some itasha on display at the event! It seems like KanColle is even popular in France! Although the admirals of Japan did mention that the game is rather difficult if you don’t understand Japanese – there were many that did speak it very well though!

There were even some personal itasha out in the parking lot, which made me realise it doesn’t matter what country you’re in! Fans will want to decorate things with the things they love! ☆

– Gaming Tournaments! –

There were booths with gaming tournaments going on which were surrounded with fans! Just watching the heated battles was really fun! ♪

– Dance Together! –

Everyone was watching a dancing game and dancing together in this corner of the event! It was a popular corner throughout the event! （*´▽｀*）

– League of Legends!! –

This was without a doubt the booth that had the most shouts and excitement at the event! The popular PC game, ‘League of Legends’! Apparently the most played game worldwide at the moment!

There were also lots of cosplayers from the game! ♪

I’m normally too shy to ask permission to take any photos, but I decided that I may never get the chance to meet the cosplayers of Japan Expo again, so I mustered my confidence, brought Akane Eiseihei with me, and took as many photos as I could!

I often get messages on Twitter and via email from other countries telling me how they love anime and figures… but to actually go somewhere and experience that love for myself was an incredible experience. I realize how much people truly do love anime, games and figures after seeing how much fans enjoy these events first hand.

I also really enjoyed answering everyones questions at the booth, and loved seeing all the photos that were shown to me! A lot of fans also told me their favorite animes and characters, and even through the language barrier I was able to communicate with them through their love of the series!

It didn’t matter that I didn’t understand French when someone came to the booth wearing a Ren-chan shirt and shouted out “Nyanpasu!”. I was happy to respond with my very own “Nyanpasu”! I also remember someone telling me an anime they like just by humming the theme song – even without knowing English or French, I was able to have a great time thanks to shared love in hobbies!

It also made me realize how I’ve managed to connect with people all over the world through my blog and Twitter. It was a truly magical trip to France! (｀・ω・´)

I’ll be sure to continue to inform everyone both in Japan and overseas about all things Good Smile!!

Nendoroid Satsuki Kiryuin

Hello again everyone!

My name is Hamako from GSC’s planning team, and I will once again be taking over the blog for Kahotan while she is away in France! I’ve somehow managed to catch a bit of a Summer cold, so I’ll be writing with a bit of a snuffly nose…

Today I will be introducing a figure up for preorder tomorrow…

Nendoroid Satsuki Kiryuin!

From the popular anime series ‘KILL la KILL’ comes a Nendoroid of Satsuki Kiryuin, Honnouji Academy’s Student Council president who rules through unquestionable force and fear. She comes with both her standard confident expression, a powerful shouting expression as well as her beloved sword ‘Bakuzan’ in both sheathed and unsheathed forms.

A special stand is also included made to look like the rooftop of Honnouji Academy, where she often stood and looked down upon the other students. Be sure to display her with the Nendoroid Ryuko Matoi and Nendoroid Mako Mankanshoku to recreate all sorts of scenes from the series!

Satsuki-sama!!!

Following on from the previously released Nendoroid Ryuko Matoi and Nendoroid Mako Mankanshoku comes the long awaited third Nendoroid from Kill la Kill – Satsuki-sama looking as imposing as ever even in Nendoroid size! ♡

First up we have this memorable pose!

You’ll notice from this photo that Satsuki-sama comes with both sheathed and unsheathed versions of her sword, Bakuzan’! She’ll look great posed in combat scenes with Ryuko and her Scissor Blade! ^^

“Nothing clouds my benevolent leadership!”

Along with her standard expression she also comes with a powerful shouting expression! Somehow even though she looks so imposing, the Nendoroid design still keeps it looking cute at the same time! ♡

Next up is one of my favorite optional parts!

A stand based on the rooftop of Honnouji Academy!

You can even pose her walking up the stairs up onto the rooftop, just like in the series! I can just hear her heels stomping up the stairs…!

Once she is at the top, you can have her take perhaps the most well known pose of all!

Plus! this pose comes with an extra little option too!

“Attention! All salute the Student Council President, Satsuki Kiryuin!”

Satsuki comes with the a ‘Student Council President’ plate in huge red lettering from the series – taken directly from TRIGGER’s original work! It really brings across the atmosphere of the series so effectively! Satsuki-sama looks even more imposing than before!!

The plate connects in like this:

The Plate holder (1) connects onto the Nendoroid stand, while the plate then slides in at point (2)! You could easily slide in some other backgrounds as well!

Displaying her with Nendoroid Ryuko Matoi and Nendoroid Mako Mankanshoku makes for a scene filled with fun!

Just like the previous Nendoroids in the series, she is filled with fun parts and options to enjoy!

Nendoroid Super Sonico: Working Set

Hello everyone!

Kahotan is still away in France, so today I will be taking over for her! My name is Hamako and I’m also a member of GSC’s planning team! I believe that Kahotan will be bringing me delicious chocolate back from France, so I will do my best to fill in for her today! ＾＾

Nendoroid Super Sonico is back again in a different version which includes outfits from the anime series ‘SoniAni’! The set allows you to pose Sonico hard at work as a gravure idol with both a ‘maid body’ as well as a ‘bikini body’!

I’ll be starting off with the maid outfit!

The angelic smile on her face is enough to make me crack a smile too!

One of Sonico’s many appealing points is of course her rather impressive bust, and this outfit ensures that you won’t get away without noticing that! I also love the way that her headdress is a part of her headphones! Lovely!

A little tea set is also included, perfect to have Maid Sonico deliver some tea to you! ♪

The Nendoroid-sized tea set is absolutely adorable! A little work of art!!

Next up we have her bikini!!

I never thought I’d see a Nendoroid with such impressive boobies!! She’s even taking the classic gravure pose of pushing them together with her arms…!

But personally… I think a look from the back might be even better!


Such a soft touchable feeling around her hips, bottom and thighs! Not to mention the tie-on bikini!(　ﾟ∀ﾟ)o彡


It’s a pretty rare thing to see a Nendoroid with such a sexy body!

The Nendoroid only comes with a single expression due to the two separate bodies, however you can definitely combine this ‘Working Set’ with the previously released ‘Tiger Hoodie Ver.’ to add a whole bunch of new options for Sonico!

Nendoroid Mayu Shimada

Hello everyone! My name is Arimuu and I’m a member of Good Smile Company’s planning team! Some of you may know me from the Good Smile Lab blog!

Following on from Chan-shuu-senpai who took over the blog review the other day, I’ll be taking over today’s blog for Kahotan while she is away in France!

It’s my very first time writing on this blog, I hope you enjoy it!

Right! Today I’m going to be taking a look at this lovely figure!

Nendoroid Mayu Shimada

From the anime ‘Wake Up, Girls!’ comes a Nendoroid of one of the ‘Wake up, Girls!’ idol group members, Mayu Shimada! She is sculpted wearing the stage outfit from the final episode’s live concert – the concert where she sings ‘7 girls war’, which is also the opening theme of the series.

She comes with a smiling expression and singing expression both perfect to pose her performing on stage, and a variety of other optional parts are also included, which allow you to recreate all sorts of dance moves from ‘7 girls war’!

The first Nendoroid from the ‘WUG’ or ‘Wake Up Girls!’ idol group is none other than the main character of the series, Mayu Shimada! The outfit she is wearing is proof of her victory in the regional preliminary contests, and is sure to spark some lovely memories in fans of the series! The colorful outfit made the paintwork a little complex in Nendoroid size, but she has come out looking lovely!

The best thing about this Nendoroid is that you can recreate a number of the dance scenes from the song! I love cute girls that sing and dance for me, which makes all the different possible variations allows for perfect for me! (＠_＠;)))

Be sure to play the famous WUG song ‘7 Girls War’ through your head while looking through these photos!

\Let’s get going! Wake Up,Girls! /

This pose is from the very start of the song, where the members all jump up! Special bent left and right arms along with bent leg parts make this pose possible! Combined with the smiling expression makes for a very cheerful looking Mayushii for fans to enjoy! (o´∀｀o)ﾉ

As you may have noticed she also comes with hand parts that allow you to pose her making ‘WUG”s W sign! A pose that is often taken while on stage in their songs!

\ Big, Big Changing ~ /


The bent legs in the jumping pose are very bent… but she also comes with slightly less bent legs for this pose! (｀･ω･´)

The expression here is a singing face, which has the mouth a little open together with a confident gaze! It brings out Mayushii’s personality nicely!

\ Dreams are Still Far Away /

Punching one hand into the air in a dynamic pose that looks like she could really start dancing at any second!

The smiling face suits her dance poses so beautifully! Also take a close look at her shoulders! The gorgeous golden paintwork can be seen all over her design – the shoulders, shoes, buttons and hair accessory!

You can even pose her during her solo performance!! Even in Nendoroid size she is faithfully only pointing the seven fingers! (*･∀-)b

\ Onto the Final Cut /

Here it is! The classic pose with an outstretched hand – a must have for any idol! After the lyrics of the song are finished the girls all take a pose, and this is Mayushii’s pose at the end of the song!

The twisting of her hips and bent leg give off a bit more of a mature air to the pose, while the smiling face brings across her confidence… I can’t get enough of it! (*´～｀*)

Obviously you can also combine the various parts to create your very own original poses as well – there are so many different options! Be sure to add Mayushii to your collection!
