Millhiore F. Biscotti Release Sample

A box filled of upcoming products!

A whole bunch of pre-release samples came through from the manufacturing team! (･∀･)ﾉ

When I can’t find a prototype to play around with, this is now the new box to turn to for treasures! Koyamada placed them all together in a single box for quick and easy use in blog reviews!

So today, we’ll be taking a look at this lovely figure:

Millhiore F. Biscotti!

She is from the popular anime series with a second season on the way, ‘DOG DAYS’ – a beautiful 1/8th scale figure of the Princess of Biscotti Republic and world-renown songstress!

She is shipping out from GSC on the 25th April!
If you’re lucky, you’ll find her in stores from the 21st!

This is how she looks from the back!

The figure is based on the pose from the ending theme of the anime, with both her arms out to her sides. Looking at her from the back you realize just how big that long flowing gsc is!

She was sculpted using 3DCG data!

Although I guess that wasn’t the most ideal caption for this photo. 😛 Obviously final touches and fixes are always performed by hand, but the bulk of the figure was all made using 3DCG data!

The final product is simply adorable!

It’s often said that the face makes the figure… if that’s the case then I think this is one of the cutest figures ever! Just by looking at her huge smile gives me the power to get through the day! (`･ω･´)

This area caused some trouble!

It’s well known that Millhiore’s image color is pink, but if you look carefully here you’ll see there are multiple different shades of pink here. According to Tsukki it was very difficult for the manufacturing team to get the colors to come out nicely around here.

Pink is definitely a difficult color to work with, but after all the team’s hard work, you can see it came out beautifully!

Her bushy tail and delicate fingertips!

The way her dress is shaped around the tail is really lovely to see! The fingertips actually feature a very subtle pink coloring, but you can’t really see it on this photo. It’s really pretty to see up close!

1/8th Scale Inori Yuzuriha

New employees have joined GSC from this April!

Over ten new coworkers – including some new graduates and some still working on their degree!

With the newcomers arrival, I have also been moved to a new seat! Although it already pretty much looks identical to my previous seat…

Today we’ll be looking at this prototype from the brand new seat! 😛

From Guilty Crown :
1/8th Scale Inori Yuzuriha!

From the Noitamina anime series, ‘Guilty Crown’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of EGOIST’s vocalist and Undertaker’s member – Inori Yuzuriha. The pose is based on a new illustration by redjuice specially created for the figure – and everything from the expression to the tips of her toes has been faithfully reproduced in figure form!

Just look how beautiful she is…!!

This is how she looks from the back!

The dynamic pose is a perfect example as to why her beautiful red and orange outfit is known as ‘Goldfish Clothes’ – the clothes really appear as if they were wafting around in some water. Her hip-line is also absolutely gorgeous!

The outfit has a lovely flowing feeling!

Making use of open spaces to bring out the volume of a figure is definitely one of the finer arts of sculpting that is captured very nicely in this figure. The clear pink accessory cloth around her arm is made from partially clear plastic for a kind of airy feeling as well – it contrasts very nicely with the warm colors of her outfit!

Inori’s lovely breezy appearance!

The way that the sculptor and finisher are able to create such a dynamic appearance through nothing but sculpting and coloring is absolutely incredible. I also love the way that her mouth is open by just a tiny bit… and those glossy lips are also great!

Exquisite gradient painting!

The varying reds, oranges all over the outfit are definitely one of the highlights of this figure! There is gradient paintwork done in areas in which the painting shouldn’t even matter – the attention to detail is outstanding!

A super sexy body-line!!

Such a perfectly sized bust… and the sculpting makes her body look so realistic!!

I like the over-exaggerated bodies in the 2D world, but these more realistic proportions like these are incredible to look at in figure form!

To be able to enjoy your favorite characters from any angle you please! The wonders of the figure the world! 😛

I’m sure many of you will know that redjuice is known for the wonderful hip lines on his illustrations, so we made sure to capture the same feeling on the figure as well! Also don’t miss out of the lovely touchable appearance of her thighs!

Just look at the wonderful sculpting of her spine and shoulder blades to give that curved effect to the figure! It’s not easily noticeable, but when you notice these small details you realize just how much care goes into these figures!

Maria Takayama & Kobato Hasegawa

The gray version you see in front here is called the T1. It’s the very first sample of the final production version that comes though!

It’s simply left gray, as the T1 is to check for sculpting problems and make sure all the parts are connecting together correctly – not check the coloring. Any changes that are needed are then changed on the molds over at the manufacturing side. When the T1 comes through to GSC or Max Factory it is analyzed incredibly carefully to make sure there is nothing strange happening with the figure.

I remember showing these checks on a live broadcast before, and I’d love to show you on the blog sometime as well.

But today we’ll be looking at the prototypes!

From ‘Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai’:

Maria Takayama & Kobato Hasegawa!

Maris is the small nun who takes the role of the Neighbor’s Club supervisor, while Kobato is Kodaka’s younger sister with a love for darkness and vampires. Both are dressed in lovely leotards with cat ears and tails to boot, as lovely 1/7th scale figures!

Note that the two figures are sold separately!
But, as you can see… they look fantastic displayed together, and the reason for that is…

They’re based on this illustration!

The illustration was included in the January 2011 edition of Monthly Comic Alive, and was illustrated by Buriki!! The outfits are really sexy, and they complement each other so well… I think it would be sad to display one without the other. 😛

A perfect rendition of the illustration!

The super cute illustration by Buriki has really come to life in the 3D world through the wonderful work of Max Factory. The gradient effect in their eyes is absolutely beautiful!!

This is how the look from the back!

The expressions are wonderful, but the body-lines you can see from the back have their own charms as well! This side was never visible on the illustration, but thanks to Max Factory you can now take a look at the two girls from whatever angle you want!

Alright, let’s take a look at them each separately…

First up is Kobato Hasegawa!

She is wearing a lovely black leotard, posed with her body slanted at a very sexy angle, which really shows off her beautiful thighs. Plus that hand is just adding to the temptations!!

A close-up of her outfit!

The tight, shiny look is really stunning, and the small details on the wrinkles in the fabric is amazing! The points where the leotard connect to the thighs really makes the skin appear all soft and touchable as well! The stockings also have a glossy finish to them, just as they did in the original illustration!

Look here! It’s sticking up!!

These bunny-suits (or in this case, cat-suits) will often stick up here when they don’t use a strap. The curved part of the body is pushing out on the fabric, and without any support it will always end up like this.

It’s so nice to see this kind of detail included on a figure! If you grab the figure, be sure to take a close look for yourself!

The bunny plushie that Kobato always carries around!

You couldn’t see this area on the original illustration, but as a bonus she also comes with the bunny plushie which you can place by her hand like this! I love the expression on the bunny! 😛

Next up, Maria Takayama!

Maria is wearing a blue leotard, and is in a very cat-like pose that is so cute that it should be against the rules!

The coloring of her leotard and stockings is really nice, I love the way the blue and purple colors complement each other!

Her hair makes use of clear plastic!

The unique style of Buriki’s illustration is preserved on the figure by using clear parts for the hair. Even when you take pictures this close it still looks absolutely incredible…

Printing a Racing Miku Poster!

If you head over to the shops you’ll see many hobby stores have these posters made by the GSC design team up on the walls now!

This big printer prints out the posters in full size, and they are then checked for balance and tone issues before heading out to the shops!

But anyway… now that the posters are done, time for me to take a look at the prototype!

Racing Miku 2011 ver.!

The champions of the 2011 SUPER GT 300 class series – GSR&Studie with TeamUKYO! Racing Miku was their official mascot throughout the tournament, based on the illustration by Yuichi Murakami!

The figure is a lovely 1/8th scale! (･∀･)ﾉ
Racing Miku 2011 has a very mature feeling about her design, and from my point of view that comes across very nicely in the figure!

This is how she looks from the back!

The sculpting work on those long twin tails is incredible! They are twisting and winding all around, with thin little hairs branching out all over the place…. it’s really beautiful! You can look at her from any angle and still be astounded by the way the hair twists and winds around her.

Yuichi’s design has been faithfully reproduced!

The paint work on her outfit – even just the front side – is so intricate!!

Another highlight for me is the slightly see-though area between her neck and her breasts. It may be hard to see it in this picture, but it is really beautiful to see up close!

Would anyone who would say no to these legs?

No way! I’m absolutely certain that everyone has to approve of these beautiful legs! The silver on the boots also contrasts very nicely with the black boots.

Plus we have more of the thin see-though material!

From the pelvis down to the black accessory on her legs there is more of the see-though look that really gives her a sexy appearance! There are also more silver bands that contrast the colors of the figure so perfectly!

We all love to see some bare skin on our figures, but this thin see-though material somehow gives the figure a whole new kind of charm!

A very mature looking Miku-san!

Her expression gives off an air of confidence, but also comes across as very gentle. It really seems like Yuichi-san’s beautiful illustration has jumped off the drawing board and into the real world!

The outfit makes lots of use of clear parts!

Plus, areas like this skirt are not only made from clear plastic, but are also painted with a gradient that makes certain areas more clear than others.

Another interesting thing I noticed is that the body and the skirt don’t seem to be separated at any point – I’m not sure how that will work through production… 😛

Her hair and the parasol also use clear plastic!

The parasol is a kind of clear silver that looks really incredible! Plus I have to mention the stunning hair once again – just look at it!

If you look at her heels in this photo you’ll also see the heel seems to be floating a bit – it’s balanced on a tiny little clear part to make it look like that. The small little details all come together to create a really stunning figure!

Miku has to have a decorative headset!

The 2011 Racing Miku really had an incredibly unique design – the headset design actually looks more like a hair accessory, which really makes her look very cute!

Seeing the extra volume on the left side of the picture, I can also mention once again that Racing Miku’s body is definitely more mature than the normal Miku… 😛

Nanoha Takamachi : Swimsuit Ver.

The office is in a complete shambles at the moment!

Last week was the Tokyo International Anime Fair, and this weekend is the Anime Contents Expo at the Makuhari Messe!

There are cardboard boxes for products, prototypes and all sorts of other things all over the place. 😛 Plus we still need to keep up all the work that normally has to be done during the week – these event seasons are really tiring!

For example, the production team needs to send off a brand new prototype through to China today…

Gift’s:

Nanoha Takamachi : Swimsuit Ver.!

From Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st comes this lovely figure of Takamachi Nanoha wearing an adorable bikini! She is sculpted in an impressive 1/4th scale size with a swimming tube made from clear plastic placed at her leg and a very dynamic pose that looks ready to jump alive! Let me make a quick summary of this figure…

She’s looks so young…. but she is so big!!

The Nanoha from the movie is of course still the young Nanoha, and she has the lovely cute look from the original series, but Gift has made this a 1/4th scale figure, so even though it might be a young character, it’s still a really big figure! To give you an idea of the size… I’d say it’s about the size of a standard trophy.

This is how she looks from the back!

Gift has been doing this swimsuit series for awhile now… I have to wonder why the swimsuits are always so tiny! 😛 This swimsuit in particular looks very tight and really shows every single curve on her body perfectly!

A stunning smile!!

Plus those sparkling eyes just draw you in so deep…. she’s just too adorable! The sculpting of her twin-tails and Raising Heart around her neck give a wonderfully dynamic feeling to her pose.

There might not be much volume beneath that bikini, but it still sculpted wonderfully!

The tube can be put anywhere!

The image above with her holding it is in fact how the figure was designed to be displayed. In my opinion it hides Nanoha’s beautiful body-line too much, so I prefer to pose it at her feet! 😛

The tube can be completely removed, so you can put it wherever you think it looks best, or simply display her without it!

You can’t fault this sculpting!

The workmanship here is simply stunning… I really feel like Gift’s 1/4th scale series really shows off their very best work!!

The lovely red and pink swimsuit!

It might be hard to tell from the photo, but the line between her bust and ribs along with the sticking out stomach are incredible to look at! Let me emphasize that one more time…. the stomach is simply amazing!! ((((゜Д゜)))

Each and every toe nail in detail!

It really looks just like a real foot, with each toe nail carefully polished!! For some reason I feel like trying to put my finger in-between her big toe and the toe beside it… I guess it’s because it’s a 1/4th scale figure, it almost seems possible. 😛

The base is very nice if you’re trying to conserve space – although the figure itself is quite tall height wise, it shouldn’t be too hard to find space on your shelf for this base.

Miku Hatsune : Cheerful Ver.

The Cheerful JAPAN! project has been going for a year!

As of the 11th March, it will have been a full year since the earthquake and tsunami. I hope that over this year those affected by the disaster have managed to get back on with their lives. My heart goes out to all of you. I believe there is still a huge amount of work to be done in the areas that were hit, but there is more and more progress each day.

Good Smile Company has been working together with other companies for the past year to run a charity project to donate money to help relief efforts, and we thank everyone who has purchased any goods that were a part of the project – know that you’re helped in the restoration of Japan!

The damage that has occurred during the March 11 quake in the Touhoku region is astounding, and in order to get over the destruction caused there is a lot that needs to be done, and lots of support that needs to be given. Good Smile Company has formed a support group named ‘Cheerful Japan’ which will strive to support the relief efforts for as long as possible. For at least 1 year we be releasing charity products among other efforts to raise donation money for the cause. To everyone who supports the Cheerful Japan movement – thank you, and know that your money is going where it is needed!

Cheerful JAPAN! Part 11:

Miku Hatsune : Cheerful Ver.!

The final product to join the Cheerful JAPAN! charity project is a 1/8th scale figure based on the winning illustration from the Cheerful JAPAN! feat. Miku Hatsune Cheerful Illustration Contest. The illustration was titled ‘Cheer Up!!’, and was illustrated by bun150. She is wearing a cheerful cheerleader’s outfit, and has a huge smile across her face to help spread the cheer all over the world!

She’s so adorable!! The illustration really fills you with energy just by looking at it! That twisted body and long flowing hair are also absolutely stunning!

You can’t see the front side of her on the illustration, but on the figure you can see the design is complete, and you can look from any angle you like! The first time I saw her from this angle I could hardly contain my excitement… I just love the way she is designed!

The cheerleader’s outfit has a very high waist line, giving you tons of skin to enjoy! Plus even though she is wearing a skirt, you can make out the outline of her body through it perfectly!

This is really a figure that you can enjoy from absolutely any angle. Plus the giant speaker seen in bun150’s illustration is used as a base for her!

Such a lovely smile!

She has a nice young look about her, and the big ribbon in her hair suits her so nicely!! Plus even zoomed in as close as this, you still get a really dynamic feeling from the way she is posed!

Twin-tails and pompons!

That subtitle almost sounds like the name of a song. 😛 A look from above gives us a good indication of just how incredibly the hair has been sculpted! (I was really scared it would snap if I touched it, so I got Hiro-san to help me out…)

I’m absolutely certain this is going to be a nightmare for the manufacturing team though – there will be so many tiny parts to work with! 😛

She even makes use of clear plastic!

As you can see on the original illustration, Miku has see-through parts to her outfit – all of which have been added using clear plastic on the figure, including the soles of her shoes! I think it’s a really cute idea for a design.

I’ve been waiting for this to get back for ages!

Last weekend, Meiru (aka Moja) took this prototype to an event in Shanghai, and I’ve been really worried that it wouldn’t make it back safely! But it’s back safely in one piece!

The second Vocaloid figure based on an illustration by the famous Tony! The wonderful transparent effect and coloring from Tony’s illustration have all been faithfully rendered in figure form for fans to enjoy! Not to mention the sexy pose she is taking!

What an incredible figure!!

Just by looking at this one photo, I’m sure you can see the amount of detail that has gone into this figure! The sculptor for her is the same sculptor behind Tony’s Miku – Chieri! I’m always complementing Chieri’s work and I’ll do it once again – this sculpting work is absolutely stunning!!

This is how she looks from the back!

She is 1/7th scale so she takes up quite an impressive amount of space – the dynamic look of the skirt is also incredible. The way it is sculpted really makes it look just like real cloth!!

Absolutely incredible!!

I get the feeling I’m repeating myself from a previous blog, but once again Chieri’s sculpting really brings out the sensual side of figures. The way her body is sculpted makes me think that if I touched it would feel just like real skin.

That open stomach just shows off her body even more!
(I really love the way you can see the direction her pelvis is turning… )

A beautiful, radiant smile!

Tony’s illustrations always have eyes that draw the viewer in, and I think that same feeling has been transferred to the figure here perfectly! It’s such an adorable expression combined with that super sexy pose… she is like a little devil trying to lure in her prey!

Time for a lower angle!

There are no words to describe this beauty! The line from her armpits, along her waist and down to her thighs is simply stunning!

Her hair makes use of clear plastic!

To be honest, I’m usually not a fan of scale figures that make use of clear plastic for the hair… (Just my personal tastes). But this Luka figure has really pulled it off perfectly – the uneven feeling I normally get from clear hair doesn’t strike me at all on this figure. In fact, I think the clear parts really adds some life to the figure!

A profile photo. Her eyes are hidden by her hair, giving the picture a kind of mysterious charm. You get to imagine the expression on her face for yourself! 😛

Look at the details on the fingers!!

I don’t know if you can tell from the photo… but they are really super sexy! Not to mention beautiful! It’s simply incredible to look at them…

I’d say it’s like a real hand shrunk down to figure size, but that’s not quite it… it’s more like the perfect mid-point between 2D and 3D!

Hmm… he must be taking this one for it’s second paint layer! Just lemme borrow it quick, before you take her away! I want some photos!

A prototype figure war has broken out in the offices over the past few hours…. 😛

But everyone here is so cooperative, that even if it delays their work a little bit, they will often let me borrow it anyway! So I managed to grab this lovely figure for today!! (`･ω･´)ゞ

From ‘Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai’:

1/7th Scale Yozora Mikaduki!

Yozora Mikaduki, the heroine with a harsh personality, but a beautiful body! The pose she is in really brings out both her stunning looks, as well as her personality through her crossed arms and that unimpressed expression.

The pose is from the novel’s 1st volume!

It’s really a pose that brings Yozora really well. I can only imagine how hard it must be to sculpt a figure with only a single image from one angle to base the pose off!!

This is how she looks from the back!

The sculpting is as always outstanding! Just look at the skirt fluttering in the the wind along with her long black hair. Or even the tips of her hair, which have the tiny pink ribbons tied up neatly! Being able to look at the figure from any angle you please is definitely what sets out a figure from any illustration! 🙂

Size comparison!

Yozora is a nice big 1/7th scale, so I thought I’d compare her to some other figures so you could get a feeling for the size. First is Nendoroid Yozora Mikaduki! Even standing up on her sofa she isn’t even half the size of the 1/7th scale version! 😛

Compared with 1/8th Scale Madoka!

Of course she is slightly taller because her is 1/7th scale! You can really feel the difference between the 1/7th scale and 1/8th scale when you compare them.

She has a very sexy waist!

When looking from the front you don’t really notice it, but if you go down just a little bit you can see her stomach from under the blazer!
Wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!!

It gives a kind of realistic feeling to the figure when you get to see more depending on the angle you look at the figure from.

A very unimpressed expression!

It’s quite unusual to see this kind of expression on a scale figure… but Yozora just had to have this kind of expression! It’s a nice balance of moodiness and cuteness!

I trust that all the gentlemen that read the blog will know just where I’m coming from. A situation that many have seen (or want to see) when climbing stairs or riding the escalator. I had the chance to see something just like this the other day. 😛

1/8th Scale Sayaka Miki

Sayaka-chan!! Is she finally complete?!

I showed a quick look of her from behind back on the 13th!

You can’t see it in this photo, but Oda-P is looking at her with a very satisfied expression! 🙂 It also seems like once again a strange Gundam-like figure has appeared on his desk! (That is Gundam… right?)

They are both mostly white and blue…
But I think I’ll take the one on the left… she’s much cuter!

The 4th in the Puella Magi Madoka Magica 1/8th scale series:

Sayaka Miki!

From the popular anime series that picked up all sorts of awards in 2011, ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Madoka’s close friend, Sayaka Miki!

This is the forth figure in the series, following on from Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi and Mami Tomoe!

This is how she looks from the back!

The huge cape on her back is billowing in the wind behind her, giving the figure a lovely dynamic feeling! The skirt is also incredibly detailed – just look at all those wrinkles and ruffles in the skirt!

Of course the other wonderful part about it is just how close you come to seeing underneath it. 😛 The triangle made between her two legs underneath her skirt is such a tease!

Her expression is absolutely lovely!

The expression was what needed the last final changes making my review a little delayed, but as you can see she looks absolutely lovely! Those innocent looking eyes reflect her personality so wonderfully! Plus as those who own lots of figures may have noticed…

The head has no separation line!! ((((゜Д゜)))

Normally there is a separation line on the hair somewhere just above the ears that is caused by the mold, but Sayaka doesn’t have one at all! It looks like GSC production team are working on some new production techniques!!

So many beautiful shades of blues!

Hiro, the same person responsible for the paint work on the 1/8th scale Madoka, was also in charge for the work on Sayaka! (Well… actually all the figures in the Madoka series…)

As with before, the coloring of the Madoka series has always been quite troublesome, but Hiro has always managed to bring it out so beautifully! There are so many varying shades of blue on her, but it still looks so nicely balanced!

She also has the soul gem on her belly! Made from clear parts!

Her lovely thin body looks so soft!

I’m sure I need not mention that my personal favorite is her armpits! But another very interesting part on Sayaka is the area between her collarbone and the lace around her outfit. In other words the bare skin just above her breasts – it looks so soft and touchable, and the thin body just makes it seem even more like the body of a real goddess! Beautiful!

Her skirt fluttering up in the wind!

The front of her skirt is neatly shaped to her body line, while the back is blowing up in the wind! The sculpting work is just incredible!

She comes with optional sword parts!

As with all the previous figures in the Madoka 1/8th scale series, Sayaka also comes with some optional weapon parts! The swords are attached to a different set of hands, and you simply replace the hands completely to equip her with the swords.

You can have her hold both of them like this, or if you prefer you can make her just hold one of the two. It’s quite hard to tell from the photo, but the swords are of a wonderful quality as well – they have very intricate designs.

A picture together with Madoka!

Madoka was just released this month! This is the actual sales version of Madoka displayed with the prototype of Sayaka… you can see the quality of the final version is just the same as the prototype!

But I really can’t wait to display hem all together!!

Miku Hatsune : Love is War ver.

Today we’re going to be looking at the lovely Miku Hatsune : Love is War Ver.!

This is how the boxes look!

If you place the boxes of the two versions together it’s just big enough for Gakkun to sit behind! 😛

The left is the DX ver., and the right is the standard version!
The black and white contrast between the packages looks great displayed next to each other like this! The boxes are also a lovely high quality paper – you’ll feel for yourself when it arrives.

Miku Hatsune : Love is War ver. &

Miku Hatsune: Love is War ver. DX

From the popular song composed by ryo and produced by supercell with illustrations by Shirou Miwa, ‘Love is War,’ is this lovely 1/8th scale figure of Miku Hatsune! Her long flowing hair is blowing up behind her, her skirt is also flying up in the wind as she holds a megaphone in her one hand and leans over the edge of a railing, shouting out about her love! It’s a beautiful and dynamic pose that recreates Shirou Miwa’s original illustration perfectly!

You can see just how big it is! (`･ω･´)ゞ

The exact size is written on the GSC website, but you can also get an idea of the size based on the comparison with the monitor and keyboard here. It’s really big! But even though it’s big…

The sculpting is absolutely fantastic!

Let’s take a look at the DX version first!

This version includes the huge speaker stand that was found in the background of the original illustration. Back when we saw the prototype I remember asking…

I really thought it was too complex! But it seems that the production team has managed to pull through a miracle! Even the unique texture on the speaker part which I thought would be one of the hardest to get right came out perfectly. Apparently it was applied by dabbing it on with a kind of sponge.

This is how it looks from the back!

The huge stand is made using 3D data, but the production team was quite troubled how to mass produce it nicely. It ended up very easy to put together and still looks absolutely lovely! The DX version was only available by web sales – but I’m certain everyone who ordered will be happy with the final product!

Just look how lovely it looks!!

I wasn’t sure if the pictures would do it justice, but the stand on both versions has a lovely look that really makes it look like cast iron. It even has a realistic rough texture!

The rough texture comes entirely from the paint work!

The fence in front of Miku can be removed, and you can put it side-by-side with the underside of the figure (which is unpainted), to compare the flat surface to the rough surface!

This is the standard version!

It does look a bit simple when compared to the DX ver, but even the standard version is rather impressive in size! The actual Miku figure in both versions is identical, but the smaller version is ideal for people who don’t have the space for the huge stand included with the DX ver. It’s also going to be available for standard retailers, so anyone can still pick this one up if they missed the orders last year.

Miku herself looks absolutely stunning!!

It’s absolutely incredible how similar the final version is to the prototype! I almost can’t tell the difference! I thought the same about the 1/8th scale Madoka the other day – it really goes to show just how fast the figure production industry is improving!

The face is made up of two different parts!

I bet you never expected the face and mouth to be two different parts! If you put the two parts on the left together, you get the Miku face on the right! This allows the painting to be done separately to make sure that none of the colors run into each other. Extra work to make sure the figure comes out even better!!

The coloring on the arm cover is incredible!

I’m sorry you have to view this all through my shoddy photo work… but the arm cover, skirt and boots all make use of a lovely shiny black color! It has a kind of blue tinge to it that really makes it look great!

Miku’s beautiful curves!

She is posed leaning forward over the railing in a very sexy pose! Just look at those lovely thighs!!

The wrinkles in the skirt are also absolutely fantastic! (Plus they were apparently very hard to sculpt right :P) The way the skirt is picked up in the wind is also quite the sight for fans! ^^

The gradient on her hair is beautiful!

Love is War Miku is well known for the long hair flowing out behind her, and it’s lovely to see it in figure from! I love the way it looks! Shirou Miwa’s illustration has really come to life with this figure!

A nice close up of the front!

She really has been sculpted down to the finest of details, when you pick it up in your hands you’ll know instantly just how wonderful it is! Even zoomed up this close she still looks fantastic!

The DX version’s speakers come apart!

You could see Gakkun holding it in his hand in the first image as well – it’s really big enough for that to look realistic! 😛 Nendoroid Miku is can even hold the speaker! (It does need double-sided tape, though :P)
