I’ve seen two twins talk in perfect unison in the past. It was so impressive… I’d really love to hear that again some time!! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at this upcoming item from Phat!
Ami Futami & Mami Futami!

From the anime series ‘IDOLM@STER’ comes a 1/8th scale figure featuring both of the mischievous twins – Ami Futami and Mami Futami! The pose is based on the illustration by director Atsushi Nishigori seen on the 4th volume of the Blu-ray & DVD jacket for the anime series, and is the first in series to feature two characters as a single figure!

The figure has been carefully sculpted to have the two characters fit together naturally, and also features a lovely selection of eye-catching colors that all come together to create a figure filled with highlights! Mami also comes with an alternate expression part which can be used to display her with her eyes open instead – simply pick the pose that you prefer!

The mischievous, playful twin idols in an energetic pose!

The innocent appearance and positive vibes of the twins has been captured so nicely, allowing you to enjoy the charms of both  Ami Futami & Mami Futami as a single figure!

The colourful one-piece outfits with the sporty yellow vests as well as the alternate colored scrunchies in their hair, headphones and kind-of matching socks… the super colorful design matches with their huge smiles so nicely!!

Let’s take a look from the back! |・`ω・)

The socks as well as the stars and dots on their shoes are all painted by hand!! (･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ！

These kind of patterns are often done with decals, but that can sometimes leave behind a bit of a rough appearance. The painter behind the figure – Maimocchi (Turunoyakata) – wanted to ensure that the vivid coloring and colorful impression was preserved in detail for fans to enjoy!

Ami’s hair has been sculpted to capture the movement of her jumping up onto Mami’s back, while Mami’s bent over back with her ponytail fluttering around is also so intricately sculpted…

Everything comes together to create such a realistic dynamic effect! They look ready to jump to life!

The original illustration was always amazing, but now you can enjoy that adorable pose from any angle that you please!

Anyway, this is in fact the 9th figure in the IDOLM@STER BD/DVD Jacket Illustration series!

But anyway, let’s get back to AmiMami! (・∀・)

Ever since the Blu-ray/DVD jacket series started, the series has kept the details of both the characters as well as the most intricate parts of their outfits and accessories in tact. ♡

The yellow down vests make use of a glossy paintwork giving them a nice texture, and you can even see the difference in material through the sculpt where Ami’s hand is grabbing on to Mami’s shoulder!

△ The metallic look of the headphones and the curly wire also look great! ♪

Plus this figure also includes a special optional part! 

An alternate expression for Ami with her eyes open!

The original jacket cover illustration had Ami with her eyes closed which does showcase her carefree personality nicely, but for those fans who would rather see the energetic Ami with her eyes wide open, this alternate expression is also included for you to choose between!! ♡

As for Mami’s expression… ♪

Miho Nishizumi & Yukari Akiyama: School Uniform & Ankou Suit Ver.

I’m back again and just as hyped up as I was last week! ★

Today I’m going to be introducing… 

Miho Nishizumi: School Uniform & Ankou Suit Ver. &
Yukari Akiyama: School Uniform & Ankou Suit Ver.!

Today’s blog feature’s photos taken directly by FREEing!! But before we take a look through the photos, let’s first take a closer look at what makes these figures so special!

＼／＼／＼／＼／＼／＼／＼／＼／＼／＼／＼
★1/4th Scale!
The most standard sizes for scale figures are 1/7th and 1/8th scale figures, but these are both 1/4th scale! They stand around 33cm in height which is even bigger than an A4 file! Compared to other scale figures and Nendoroids they have quite an impressive presence! The large size also allows for some interesting ways to put them on display! (ΦωΦ)

★ Dress-Up Outfits!

The actual figures themselves are dressed in swimsuits, but they both comes with a school uniform and an ‘Ankou’ suit to put on over the swimsuit for a whole new look! Three different outfits to enjoy on a single figure!! Lovely!!

★ Alternate Poses!

Nishizumi-dono’s left arm and Akiyama-dono’s right arm both come with interchangeable parts for a slightly different pose! As the outfits are made from fabric, they fit onto either pose nice and easily!

Let’s take a closer look at each of them shall we?
Starting with Nishizumi-dono!

From the popular anime series ‘Girls und Panzer’ comes a 1/4th scale figure of the Ankou Team’s commander – Miho Nishizumi! She also comes with both her Oarai Girls High School uniform as well as the Ankou (Anglerfish) suit from the series both made from real fabric which can be switched around whenever you wish, and special interchangeable parts are also included to create poses that suit each of the outfits!

In addition, the figure itself is wearing the swimsuit that was seen in the OVA, which means you can enjoy Miho in her school uniform, Ankou suit or swimsuit all with a single figure! Be sure to display her with the upcoming ‘Yukari Akiyama: School Uniform & Ankou Suit Ver.’ to recreate the two of them doing the Ankou dance together!

Her thighs have just the right size to them, and her waist has a nice womanly curve! Then we move up… and it’s such a lovely view!! I’m sure most of you are on the same page as me with that!

As usual, that area where the bottom connects to the thighs has a lovely sculpt to it! The little creases in her triangle bikini also look so lovely! 

Next up, Akiyama-dono!

From the popular anime series ‘Girls und Panzer’ comes a 1/4th scale figure of the Ankou Team’s loader – Yukari Akiyama! The swimsuit outfits are based on the OVA of the series, but in that Akiyama-dono was wearing short pants! The figure has been adapted to a triangle bikini to match with Nishizumi-dono! It’s reserved but still brings out the feminine side of Akiyama-dono!

 

I’m sure the areas that one chooses to look at differs between people, but I keep finding myself staring into the camouflage patterns! I mean, it’s a pretty unique pattern I definitely wasn’t looking at anything except for the pattern! The muscles on the back of her knees also look great!

(ΦωΦ) School Uniform!

The Oarai Girls High School uniform! The fact that you can dress-up the figure makes it seem a little bit like a doll! Even though you know exactly what is underneath the skirt, an angle like this that teases the eyes always gets to me!!

(੭ु´･ω･`)੭ु⁾⁾ Ankou Suits!

The back of the outfits has a zipper so you can even display them in the middle of getting dressed up like this! Not really a situation that you would expect to see very often, but that is exactly why it allows the mind to run wild with ideas!! For example… what kind of expression does Nishizumi-dono have on her face here?

The ankou hat included with the outfit can of course be placed on their heads, but as it is fabric you can also play around and have them hold it in their hands! (`・ω・´)b

Super Sonico: Racing Ver.

Today’s Main Feature…!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at Max Factory’s… 
Super Sonico: Racing Ver.!

From the anime series ‘SoniAni’ comes a figure of Super Sonico as she appeared in episode 10 of the series, dressed in the 2013 Racing Miku Supporters’ outfit! The figure is based on an illustration by character designer Santa Tsuji, and faithfully keeps all of the impressive volume!

The beautiful curves of Sonico’s bosom and bottom have all been carefully sculpted for fans to enjoy, and the different textures all over the figure have also been carefully recreated through intricate paintwork.

Super Sonico wearing a Racing Miku Supporter’s outfit!♥︎

The vocalist and guitarist for ‘Daiichi Uchuu Sokudo’ Super Sonico-chan has been made into an eye-catching figure dressed up in the 2013 Racing Miku Supporters’ outfit!

The glossy appearance of the outfit has been faithfully reproduced on the figure as well as the semi-transparent parts that give the entire outfit a somewhat futuristic appearance. Even her stockings have been beautifully painted to show the stretching material, giving them such a realistic appearance! (●´ω｀●)

Let’s see how she looks from the back! ♪

Your eyes do tend to jump to that lovely round bottom, but also take note of the lovely detail on her pink twin-tailed hair as it flutters behind her! ♪

The crisp appearance of her outfit still has various creases that make out the curves of her body so perfectly… you can tell just how lovely and soft her skin is…

Delicious!! (੭ु ›ω‹ )੭ु⁾⁾

The sculpting is one thing, but coupled with the paintwork you can tell the difference between the textures so nicely… it makes you want to reach and and feel her delicious bosom for yourself! ★

Speaking of areas that you want to reach out and touch, this area really calls out to me as well…

Her Waist!

I can’t stop this vision in my mind of putting my finger in that bend at her waist! The skin looks so soft that it’s hard to believe the figure is made from PVC…! The forward bent pose also creates that little gap between her clothes and her skin!! (´□｀｡)

Another area that can’t be missed out on…

Those Thighs!!

The stockings are clearly quite thin, and the depressions made by Sonico’s graceful hand as it grips onto her leg makes me wish I could grab the leg myself and feel that softness!! It’s like the hand is sinking into her leg!! (*´Д｀)=з

You can really get a feel what areas of the figure the sculptor YOSHI-san and planner Kaneko Nitohei have focused on… which combined with the paintwork by Hiroyuki Hirose creates such a lively, touchable figure of Sonico… I could just stare at her all day long!!

But this figure isn’t ALL about the body, she also has this adorable baby face which shows off her personality as well!!♥︎

The little details around her eyes really bring out such a beautiful face!! This is the sweet Sonico that we have all come to love!! The contrast between the cute face and those overwhelming boobies is just another aspect of Sonico’s charm!

Let’s take a quick 360° look at her!

Even though the outfit is so revealing and should be one of those figures that are more for their erotic side… Sonico’s innocent smile has this weird effect that makes you want to love her for her character as well!! It’s hard to put into words but the figure really is such a pleasure to look at in so many ways!

By the way!! The thing she is wearing underneath the miniskirt is a part of her outfit! Not panties!! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

♥︎ Today’s Date ♥︎

This photo was taken at a lake in Kumamoto prefecture, Aso city last year in May.

I am currently living in Kumamoto, currently toward the north of the prefecture, but I often bring my friends to Aso city when they come to visit. There is an area in Aso called Sensuikyo that gives such a beautiful look at Mt. Aso – it is a well known location for tourists to see. Due to the earthquake that took place on the 23rd May 2016, the roads and paths that connect to Sensuikyo have been badly damaged and there is no way to reach the beautiful place. As one of the biggest attractions to the area, it has caused quite the blow to tourism in Aso.

When I took this photo I could never have imagined the disaster that would strike here. I can hardly remember why I took Kitakami-san and Ooi-san out with me here… I think I wanted to climb some mountains with the Kancolle girls. To be honest, the disaster did not affect me too much personally, but I want to pass on my condolences to all those that have suffered any losses in the disaster. I look forward to the day the I can come back to Sensuikyo and enjoy this scenery once again.

Greetings everyone!
Chan-shuu from Good Smile Company’s planning team here! (@gscs_hirase)

This is my second blog and I’m still getting used to the ropes but I think everything is getting smoother now!! Today I’m going to be taking a look at ORANGE ROUGE’s latest product…

The 1/8th Scale…

Okurikara!

From the popular browser game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Okurikara based on his standard standing pose from the game.

The figure faithfully captures Okurikara’s aloof expression, darker skin tone and the characteristic tattoo of the Kurikara Dragon on his arm to bring out his unique charm and personality for fans to enjoy by their side! Be sure to add him to your collection!

“I am Okurikara. There is nothing else to say.”

The dark-skinned uchigatana ‘Okurikara’ as a scale figure! His outfit that looks a bit like a ‘gakuran’ jacket and his long hair covering up his one eye as he glares out the other have all been faithfully preserved in the figure!!

As with the previous scale figures from Touken Ranbu -ONLINE- the figure is based on his standard standing pose from the game! Okurikara has that intimidating gaze and one foot forward in a pose that makes him look ready to react to anything! (ﾟＡﾟ😉

Let’s see how he looks from the back!

The arch in his back shows him standing up straight with confidence!

The creases in his jacket, rolled-up sleeves and warm loose waist-cloth wavering at his legs make for such a manly appearance! The tattoo on his left arm also looks amazing… but I’ll take a closer look at that a little later!

“I have no intention of being friends.”

The powerful, cold gaze just seems to match his line from the game so perfectly! The tightly closed mouth has a bit of a frowning look to it, yet there is something about his eyes that shows he has a somewhat gentle side to his personality! His expression tells so much!

Note the red tips of his hair at the back!

The very top of his head has black hair, but as it flows down to his neck it gradually fades into a dark red!

Also take a close look at that neck while we’re here! Just look at those masculine neck muscles, his collarbone and the Adam’s apple slightly visible from this angle!! It’s such incredible detail!! (;ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

The paintwork also emphasizes the shadows making everything stand out so nicely!

Next up we have his jacket!

The jacket has a half-glossy black paint with shiny golden buttons and highlights that match beautifully! The necklace also matches up with the jacket for a simple yet stylish outfit – the necklace even has the small Sanskrit characters carefully carved into it! The white V-neck T-shirt also contrasts with the black jacket so effectively! （つД+ *）

Even the shirt has very slight shadows painted on to it! This had to be done rather carefully to ensure that the darker areas did not end up looking like a dirty shirt instead of shadows. Seeing the work done on this figure really shows just what artisans those who worked on it are!

As he is sculpted in a confident pose pushing his stomach out the creases on the back of his jacket have been carefully sculpted to match that pose.

You can also see the way the jacket has collected up at his elbows due to the way he has rolled up his sleeves – the movement of his body is so clear even over all his clothes.

His tassets and waist-cloth!

From the front, the purple cloth tied around his waist really stands out…

From the back the wavering of the waist-cloth stands out!

The armor on his upper legs is known as ‘tassets’, and you can tell from the sculpt and painting that they have a very different texture! They have a much heavier appearance to them! If you look really close you can even see the layer underneath the tassets is also sculpted onto the figure!

Then we move onto my personal favorite area…

The tattoo of the Kurikara Dragon on his left arm!

In his hand he grips his sword with it’s beautiful purple scabbard and golden guard… but what really pulls the eye is the tattoo along his arm – the tattoo of the Kurikara Dragon, which is where Okurikara gets his name from!

Also take a nice close look at the muscles on his wrist! Lovely! (*´ω｀*)

The tattoo has actually been redone again and again trying to get it to follow his bone and muscle structure as naturally as possible! I think we ended up capturing it really nicely in the end though! His black leather gloves and the tightly gripped fist inside are also one of his many highlights!

His pants and shoes!

Even all the way down here the sculpting of the creases is incredible!! The pants are not too loose and not too tight – just the right size to cover up the ankles!

The shoes really look like they are made from leather thanks to the glossy paintwork – but it’s a very different kind of shine when compared to the jacket! It looks like he just shined his shoes to perfection!!

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword – 1/7th Scale Link

Hello everyone! This is I.G. Sakai from Max Factory’s product planning division! Today I’m going to be taking a look at this figure from ‘The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword’ that went up for preorder today!

1/7th Scale Link!


You can just feel the spirit of Link flowing out of the figure! The sculpting by Yuuki Ishiyama and painting by Hiroyuki Hirose of Decomas Lab has come together so perfectly to create a figure filled with variety! As you can from the photo above, Link looks amazing with a shadow cast over him!

Taking photos of Link against a black background really makes the figure stand out in a way that it looks more like a painting than a figure! You can see how carefully the figure has made use of the effects of light and shadow as accurately as possible!

Link is a 1/7th scale figure, but he has a more bulky figure than most female figures giving the figure some very noticeable volume! Sagiri Izumi

From the popular Dengeki Bunko series with an anime on the way ‘Eromanga Sensei’ comes a scale figure of the main character’s younger sister, Sagiri Izumi! The figure is based on the cover illustration of the first light novel, and features Sagiri with her tablet in hand, carefully studying the source material in front of her.

I personally absolutely love those cute little ribbons in her hair! AQUAMARINE have really done an amazing job with capturing the character!! Thank you AQUAMARINE!!

There is something about the figure’s appearance and expression that somehow make Sagiri look not only super cute, but also have a somewhat sexy look! Personally I love the red shading on her knees!

From the Back!

The sculpting of the creases in her hoodie as well as the shadows that have carefully shaded on all over really make the paintwork stand out! You can also see that the curves of her body are captured quite nicely from the back! let’s take a closer look…


Wo-Wonderful!

I could stare at this for ages! You might also be wondering what is underneath that hoodie… but I’m afraid I can’t tell you! I didn’t look! I swear!

From the Right!

Even the pen she holds has been sculpted in such detail… and just look at the determination in those eyes!! The slightly pink areas on her ears also look so cute… I want to give her a hug!

From the Left!

The slight gradient of her hair has been faithfully transferred from the original illustration seen on the cover of the novel. Those cute ribbons that I mentioned above are also so adorably sculpted and the coloring makes them look like cute little candies!

From the Top!

She is holding a drawing tablet in her left arm… we can only imagine what she must be drawing with such deep concentration!

From the Bottom!

I wanted to take this photo from an even lower angle, but… you’ll have to bear with this until she joins your collection!

You can see she looks adorable no matter what angle you choose to look from!

Today’s Main Feature…!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at this 1/8th scale figure going up for preorder tomorrow…

Mira Yurizaki!

From the popular anime series ‘Dimension W’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the robot heroine of the series, Mira Yurizaki! She has been sculpted in original pose for the figure, with a bit of a cat-like pose as if she has climbed up to some elevated area.She has been sculpted wearing the memorable outfit she was wearing when she first appeared in the series which features a combination of tight and loose fitting clothes in various different colors. The textures of the various parts of the outfit have also been differentiated making the figure a pleasure to look at no matter which angle you choose to enjoy her from!

“In the year 2072, mankind discovered ‘coils’ to draw out an  inexhaustible supply of energy from Dimension W.”

A lovely 1/8th scale figure of Mira Yurizaki from the progressive Sci-Fi anime series written by Yuuji Iwahara, Dimension W! ♡

She is posed as if she has climbed up on some elevated platform, and half-way up she decided to turn around and look our way! A nice figure that captures Mira in a simple yet dynamic pose that really captures the feeling of movement as she twists around!

Mira is actually an robot that moves with the energy from Dimension W, but those lovely curves and body make me think she is just another cute human!

The open shoulders, twisted hips and the soft, touchable bottom that all come together to create a spectacular body line…

It’s such a wonderful sight!!

Her lower body really captures that soft skin feeling so nicely with the way the clothes snap onto the skin…. and just look at the underside of her elbow!! Every part of the figure has been so beautifully sculpted that its hard for me to decide on where to focus!! You really need to take a nice long look for yourself!

Mira is often referred to as too cute for her own good, but there is something about this figure’s expression that also gives her a bit more of a mature appearance! (/ω＼)

While she still keeps that innocent cuteness, the look in her eyes and smile on her face seem to say ‘It’s alright. Just leave it to me”. I think I kind of understand Kyoma’s feeling of trust toward his partner Mira when I look at this expression! っ(*´Д｀)=з

Anyway, I’ve been focusing on her human appearance so much, that you might have forgotten that this is actually an robot! Let’s take a look at some of the parts that show that side of her…

Such as this rather interesting tail part!

Such a sharp, metallic appearance…!

Mira has so many human-like features and emotions, but seeing these parts is a very good reminder of her robotic side! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The glossy paintwork used on the head parts also provide a more robotic appearance to her overall design!

The cable of the tail part actually makes use of that kind of braided wire, giving a nice realistic texture to enjoy as well! ★

Another thing about the outfit to note is how the creases in her outfit have been sculpted to match with the way her body is twisted! You can see it pulling tight at some areas and rather loose at others!


△ It’s the kind of sculpt that caters to all sorts of different fetishes!

Personally I love the layers of her clothing and the box pleat skirt! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

But the gaps of skin around her shoulders and neck area are also lovely! It’s one of those figures that looks great from pretty much any angle you choose which really is one of the best things about figures!! You can enjoy your favorite character from the angle you choose – and notice all sorts of things about them!

For example Mira’s unique hairstyle!

She kind of has a layer of longer hair placed on top of shorter hair! You never really get to see the back of her hair from this angle in the series! This is the power of the figure world!! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

This angle also shows off the nape of her neck, her round shoulders and lovely slim arms that all connect to form such lovely curves! You can even see her soft looking thighs as they emerge from the frilly skirt!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Mio Honda: Crystal Night Party Ver.!

From the popular anime ‘THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the New Generations member Mio Honda in a ‘Crystal Night Party’ version! Mio is posed wearing the ‘Crystal Night Party’ outfit she is seen wearing in both the opening theme of the anime’s second season as well as in the last episode of the series.

It is an outfit that shouts out what it means to be an idol with it’s shining and colorful design – a design which has been intricately sculpted and painted for fans to enjoy in their collection. Uzuki Shimamura: Crystal Night Party Ver. has already been announced, and a figure of Rin Shibuya in her ‘Crystal Night Party’ outfit is also on the way – so be sure to display the three together!

The second in the ‘Crystal Night Party’ series – Mio Honda!

The naturally cheerful leader of the New Generation’s unit is joining the ‘Crystal Night Party’ series of scale figures! ★

The figure is sculpted by Tomogomahu!

The energetic pose and healthy looking body captures Chanmio so nicely, and the realistic flow and appearance of the outfit has been sculpted in such lovely detail! The pose with the twist in her hips works nicely with the frilly design of the outfit! The long cape-like frills that come off her dress also look so amazing as a figure! ♡

The way she is gripping the skirt causing a few extra creases as well as the creases along her back caused by her twisted hips… you really get a feeling for the weight of the outfit! The way the shoulder accessories are moving around, as well as the sculpt of her hair and the frills on her outfit…

They all give the figure a lovely dynamic feeling! ♪

While the pose is quite simple, it’s such a treat for the eyes for all sorts of different reasons! The smallest little details just make you want to look closer and closer… the sculptwork really is fantastic!! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Chanmio is also rather well known for her rather impressive body and curves, and the figure really does them justice!

Not only is the characteristic idol outfit sculpted beautifully with each crease and wrinkle carefully thought out, but it also really makes her body-line stand out showing just how soft and toned her skin is! っ(/ω＼)

Take a nice close look at the area just above her bellybutton, or the area between her upper arm and the brooch on her chest! They all look so realistic… you can’t help but want to try and run your finger along the various uneven bumps of her outfit and smooth skin… but you’ll have to wait until she joins your collection to do that!

Let’s take a look a little bit lower!

The way her high socks are sculpted pushing into her skin together with the shadow paintwork around the knees really brings out that ‘feeling’ of skin! I tried to take this photo as close as I could without showing too much! You can see the lovely rounded form that continues beneath the skirt! ☆

Once again I just have to point out the creases in her outfit, but also note the pearl paintwork that gives a nice shiny appearance to the figure to give her that glittering appearance of an idol! (●´ω｀●)

Plus… the friendly, inspiring smile that Chanmio always has to cheer on the New Generations team has also been captured beautifully! ♪

The paintwork as well as expression were both done by the same artist that worked on the previously announced Shimamura Uzuki – Ekoshi! ♥︎

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a product currently up for preorder…

Rin Shibuya!

From the popular anime series ‘THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Rin Shibuya! The figure is based on the illustration by Yuusuke Matsuo seen on the 1st volume of the Blu-ray & DVD jacket for the anime series. Her gentle gaze, long hair flowing out behind her and lovely outfit have all been faithfully reproduced based on the original illustration, allowing fans to enjoy Rin by their side whenever they please!

A figure of Rin Shibuta based on the 1st volume of the Blu-ray & DVD jacket for ‘THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS’ anime series! I’ve been working here at GSC for over two years now, but I’m still always amazed when I see the transformation of an illustration into a figure!! 

Anyway, let’s take a nice close look at all of the lovely details that make this figure so very charming!

Starting off with her expression!!


▲ The expression captures that cool yet wistful look of Shiburin so nicely!
But if we look from a slightly lower angle…
▲ This angle makes her look a little more shy!!
It’s as if she just can’t cover up her mouth with her arm! (*´ω`*)

Or instead from a slightly higher angle…

▲ She’s looking straight forward with a more confident look to her now! ( ;∀;)

This is one of the best things about figures! They are made with so much care and detail that they look great no matter what angle you choose to look from… and can often give a whole different impression when you change the angle!

Anyway, let’s take a closer look at the sculpting!

 ▲ Just look at this skirt! Isn’t it fantastic?!
▲ This is how it looks from the back!

The use of space between the folds in the skirt as well as the gaps between her hair, arm and skirt are all lovely! Plus the way the folds in the skirt bundle up in certain areas looks great!

The illustration obviously only ever displayed the single front angle of the figure, which means everything you see at the back here was all sculpted through the imagination of the figure’s sculptor! I know I would never be able to think up the entire reverse side of an illustration to sculpt the back in such detail…

▲ The edges of the skirt faithfully keep the pale white pattern!

How did they keep the pattern in such intricate detail…
I look forward to seeing how they will reproduce this on the final product!!

The inner white skirt makes use of a translucent material which gives a nice semi-see-through appearance to the design! It’s perfect!!

How can something so frustrating be so pleasing to look at!

You’ll have to wait till she joins your collection to see more!

Plus another part that I really fell in love with are the bare feet and floating loafer shoes…

It really gives the impression that the feet have just been released from the shoes with the way her little toes are sculpted! The shiny appearance of the leather shoes has also been faithfully preserved through some amazing paintwork! It makes me want to feel the smooth leather for myself!

Shiburin herself is actually posed as if floating in the air, and I swear when I look from this angle I can see some angel wings sprouting from her back!!

She really does look like such an angel!!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at Max Factory’s…

Ranko Kanzaki ~Rosenburg Engel~!

From the anime series ‘THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS’ comes a 1/7th scale figure of Ranko Kanzaki. She has been sculpted in a dynamic pose based on her outfit from her solo unit promotional video, ‘Rosenburg Engel’.

The magnificent outfit makes use of pearl paint to faithfully recreate its eye-catching appearance. The wings make use of translucent parts for a more mystical appearance – bringing out the way Ranko sees the world in her figure. Be sure to add her to your collection!

“My dark power… the time has come for you to awaken!”

The chosen idol with the power of the ‘eye’ as a 1/7th scale figure dressed in one of her many Gothic-style outfits from the series!

The outfit is from her ‘Rosenburg Engel’ promotional video… and as you can see it is one very tight-fitting outfit! ♥

You make out her body’s beautiful curves so nicely thanks to the tight fit!

The wing parts make use of semi-translucent parts that slowly fade to a more solid color through a beautiful gradient! The way the light shines through them adds to that mysterious atmosphere that surrounds Ranko!

The twist in her hips and the gentle bumps on her bare back are also a treat for fans! (´□｀｡)

The  different in texture of the wings, outfit and bare skin as also been separated really effectively through both the sculpt and the paintwork! Both the skin and outfit look so smooth, yet they are definitely a different kind of smooth!


△ The heels on the boots also give a nice peek of skin just like on her back! ★

Another part of the sculpt that I really want to point out…

Those lovely curly twin tails!! 

The fact that the movement of the hair matches up with the twist in her hips gives the whole figure a nice dynamic feeling! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The light and airy feeling of her hair is also so nice with those twirls bouncing on the ends! I’m sure they are going to give the manufacturing team a hard time!!

Also, if we look a little closer at her outfit you can see the details of the accessory at her neck and the frills on the edge of her arm cover… the sculpting is really magnificent! (●´ω｀●)
