Another snow forecast has come for Tokyo! It’s so cold outside that I’m really not surprised! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure that would look great with the snow…
figma Snow Miku: Crane Priestess Ver.
2018 marks the 9th anniversary of Snow Miku, and the 2018 design was once again selected by fans through online votes between a selection of outfits all submitted to piapro by fans! This year the theme was “Animals of Winter Hokkaido”, and the winning Snow Miku design was this version based on a red-crowned crane illustrated by Taichadon! The illustration has now been converted into this figma together with Rabbit Yukine who even holds a Shinto staff!
- She comes with three expressions including a calm standard face, a gentle smiling face as well as a face with closed eyes as if in prayer.
- Various items that match the priestess theme are included: a kagura bell, a folding fan, a Shinto staff and a tamagushi.
- Her hood can be removed allowing for an different appearance.
- An alternate lower body part and alternate coat part are included to display her kneeling.
- An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.
The 2018 Priestess Snow Miku joins the figma series, dancing with the snow!
Let’s start with a look at the packaging!
The top features a lovely deep blue which gives the overall package a very relaxed color scheme!ヽ(*´∀｀)ノ
I personally also really love this year’s Snow Miku logo!
▲ The figma number has a “EX” which is used for event products! ♪
The package may look rather slim at first glance, but the blister pack on the inside has two layers for a rather impressive amount of parts!

There are all sorts of interesting items to play around with, but the one that caught my eye first was this one!
Kneeling Parts!! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ
The area from the chest downward are replaced to display her in this lovely elegant kneeling pose, and alternate parts for her outfit are also included in order to really complete the pose!
Another part for the back part of her outfit is also included! Quite a few parts to switch out, but it makes for such a lovely pose! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ
From the back you can see the underside of her socks!
The important thing to note here is you can see they way she is curling her toes around!!! Such intricate little details in such minor areas is really what makes the figma series so amazing!! (´□｀｡)
Her entire outfit is all based on the Japanese crane, and the points of articulation on the sleeves while she is kneeling have been very carefully thought out…
You can easily pose the sleeves in a very neat pattern to match the kneeling pose, but the amount of articulation also allows for various other potential posing options! ♪
Anyway, moving onto her optional parts, she comes with a kagura bell, a folding fan and a tamagushi.
But that’s not all, she also comes with a Shinto staff that matches up with the one that Rabbit Yukine is holding! ♪
Simply select the parts that best suit your pose! ε-(o´ω｀o)
By the way, I am often displaying Rabbit Yukine balanced on Snow Miku’s hands or head, but he does come with his own little stand as well! Be sure to add the lovely priestess Miku and her adorable companion to your collection!
