Ah-ha! I found a table tennis set under the table tennis table!!

… but more importantly, I also found a prototype figure to play with!
The table tennis table that was donated to us from Nitroplus currently has the role of a staff meeting place! Once in awhile you’ll hear a game being played late at night, and the sound really travels when the offices are so empty. 😛

The forth figure in the Saber series sculpted by Akira Toda (Principality of Kaguisuchino)! This time is the the Saber from the fighting RPG game, ‘Fate/EXTRA’ – a 1/8th scale Saber in a lovely red outfit!

As you can see, she is just as detailed as ever!!

Her dress and skirt are whirling up in a very bold pose that gives a very sexy atmosphere to the figure!
Take a close look at her hips in this picture!
There is a tiny gap between the petticoat and the skirt where you can see a little flash of skin!!

Toda’s wonderful sculpting! She’s beautiful!

Her mouth is just slightly open, and if you look up close you can just make out her teeth! I’m sure there are those that like open mouths like this on their figures and those who don’t – but such fine sculpting can’t be ignored either way! It looks incredible!

One more look at that stunning face!

While I was taking the photos, I wanted to capture her cutest points in the best possible ways which means I normally don’t take multiple photos of the same area, but this was a special occasion! Plus this red Saber gives off such a different atmosphere if you just change the angle slightly like this. She really is stunning!

Her weapon, Aestus Estus!

The beautiful scarlet long sword is gripped tightly in her hand, painted with a lovely gradient that makes it all the more lovely!

I know that on first look, your eyes are drawn to her breasts instantly… but there are other lovely things to see in this photo as well!

For instance, that lovely lacing!!

Such fine detail for a 1/8th scale figure! As usual I’m super impressed by Toda’s sculpting, but at the same time I feel sorry for the production team… I imagine it is going to be quite the task getting this mass produced…

Her sexy back showing off more skin!

The nice little gaps show off her shoulder blades as well as the back of her waist! Her skin looks so soft!! Just how far down the opening at her waist goes… will be a surprise for you when you get the figure for yourself. ^^

Her lovely thin legs!

The contrast between her armored boots and the soft looking skin is really sexy! The armor has a kind of mixed gold and silver color that looks absolutely wonderful too!

↑ Take a look at the lacing here too!!

The gold edging itself is amazing itself, but the little details above the gold lining is also stunning – I hope you can see it in the photo! This is all around the dress, so it must have been really difficult to get it looking so wonderful!

Her petticoat also has a transparent effect to it!
It’s lovely to see how close the figure is to the original character!! 🙂

I’m so glad to hear that Nendoroid Masamune is going on resale! I’ve heard on a couple of review sites that it can be quite difficult to get him to stand up – has this been improved in the resale version

The image above is taken from the Phat company blog. They say they will be improving the stability the stand offers! There were a lot of people who thought a push-in type of stand would be better, but there is the family crest there and we don’t really want to open a hole up there…

The same stand used for Masamune will also be used Nendoroid Yukimura Sanada! It’s not 100% decided just yet, but you may be able to apply for the new stand to be mailed to you as well.

Ooh! As expected, the new Fate/zero series is bringing up more and more Fate fans!

Rin Tohsaka -UNLIMITED BLADE WORKS- will have more stock in stores from next week Monday!

If you’re lucky they’ll be in stores on Monday, but it might only be on the Tuesday or Wednesday. It’s a wonderful figure, so if you’re a fan it is definitely worth picking up!

I quietly fulfilled this request in yesterday’s blog, I hope you enjoyed it! That expression really is in a league of it’s own!

I see you wrote a blog today about yesterday’s SUPER GT, so I decided to send through this mail! I also went to the racing track yesterday and had a nice look at the Miku GT car!

Before the race started, I went down to the pit and got a nice close look at the car, and was really impressed at how great it looked from close up! Now that it managed to take the gold in the championship I’m even more impressed than I was before – thank you for the wonderful race!

If there is ever another race I’ll be sure to come take a look again, so I do hope to see the car coming back for the next season!

Congratulations, Miku GT Car!!

I went to the Motegi race as well, and got to see the legend in the making, it really was an incredible moment!! The racer, Yamaguchi and all the GSR Staff were all in tears when the victor came in!

The Miku car really tried it’s best, and the results are there to show it! It’s all thanks to all the support we got from people like you! See you next season!!

Will Erio Touwa’s sparkling hair be part of the figure? It really is a part of her character! If it’s not, I think I’ll just coat it with some glittered nail polish… though I’m just a bit worried that it might damage the figure or react in some strange way? If you could shed some light on the topic, I’d be happy!

But, I tried out your method!

This is white glittered nail polish. Unfortunately, different nail polish can use different ingredients, so it might end up as an unfortunate experience with other types…

Just be careful when trying it!

As a side note, as soon as you put on a single layer, there is no turning back. There are nail polish removers, but they will very often peel the paint off the figure as well, so I don’t recommend even trying them. There is a little more info about that in this post over here:

Hello Mikatan!
The one anime that is entertaining me the most is the series called Uta no Prince-sama: Maji Love 1000%!

All the characters are so awesome, I just get so exited when watching the series! I absolutely love figures of cute girls and have tons displayed in my room, but I kind of wish I could get some cute guys to join them as well!

I must admit that I’m also a fan of the Utaprince series! Both the games and the anime! The addition of ‘Maji Love 1000%” to the title of the anime was pure genius, it really got me to start watching the series!

It really is an great series to watch!!  （nﾟ∀ﾟ)n
A lot of people always ask who my favorite character is… if I had to pick one I think it would be Hijirikawa. But they really are all magnificent!

I keep seeing lots of outdoor photography, and seen I’ve been going traveling quite a lot recently, I often think I should try it for myself…
I was just wondering, is there some kind of carrying bag that suits Nendoroids well? You always see things like guitar cases, so I think we should get Nendoroid cases as well!

Just their little heads pop out – it looks lovely! Koyamada from the production team makes use of them almost everyday!

Unfortunately, there were a special campaign present, and are not an actual product. Perhaps the quality will be upgraded a little for an actual product release in the future! I certainly hope so!

On another note, I see that Nendoroid Menma is on her way, but you can’t have Menma without Jin-tan, so I do hope he is in the pipeline as well!!

I recently received my Fate Extension Set, and can’t believe how cute they are, and what incredible quality they are for such small figures!

I mainly bought it for the normal human-sized servants, and to be honest I didn’t really care about Berserker (sorry… :P), but the quality of them all is incredible! I’ll be happy to even display Berserker by Ilya’s side!

Hello! Nice to meet you! I’m a frequent reader of Mikatan Blog, I love it! This year I am a third year middle school student, and I’m starting to think about my future.

It was at that point I was wondering…. how can I become ‘Mikatan’? Working with figures all day long, even with lovely prototype figures! I’m sure it’s not quite as easy as I’m making it out to be, but I’d love to know how to become a Mikatan!! What work do you do besides write the blog and attend all the events?

Shuukan Hajimete no Miku Hatsune Miku is a weekly 4-panel manga that is currently being serialized in Weekly Young Jump. It features a Miku with a rather different expression to normal!

Miku looks great from any angle, but the back is definitely well known by fans! This version of Miku has slightly thinner twin tails that also have a lovely gradient to them!

She also comes with a bent arm and bent leg for both left and right sides, letting you pose her in confident poses like this one!

A kicking pose with a Achop face!!

All the expressions feature the blank white eyes that the series is known for! It somehow adds a whole different kind of cuteness to the figure!

You can have her hold it, or place it on the ground like this! I must say that this Nendoroid is very easy to get into all sorts of poses – after playing with it for just a short while I was able to get her into just the poses I wanted. It really feels like she just jumped out of the manga for me to play with!!

The scene where Miku-chan is stopping the balls from a pitching machine with her bare hands!! She shouts out “Achop!” as she does so! It’s so adorable!!! She comes with shoulder parts that let her put her hands out in front of her like this.

Those who have seen a particular video will know these two particular items all too well! This is the Miku from the video, Mukashimukashi no Kyou no Boku!

Plus!  Soon after… she will trip and drop her ice cream… which will need…

A depressed expression and sitting parts!

Just look at the way her arms are crossed! She really looks so upset and depressed all at once!! Once she is released, I want to go to take photos down at one of Matsudo’s river beds to recreate the scenes from the video!!

This is to recreate a scene from the manga! If you don’t know where, you better check out the manga! 😛 The fine details like the hand-written words all over the box and even the fragile label have all been carefully recreated in Nendoroid form!

figma Miku Hatsune: Cheerful ver.

The desks of those who are off to China!

This time the production team is off to China for quite a long stay, but even so, samples still stop by for us!

Today we’ll be taking a look at this lovely figma that managed to sneak into the offices!

This was the Cheerful JAPAN! product announced back in July! Everyone who ordered should have their’s delivered around the 29th November.

The damage that has occurred during the March 11 quake in the Touhoku region is astounding, and in order to get over the destruction caused there is a lot that needs to be done, and lots of support that needs to be given. Good Smile Company has formed a support group named ‘Cheerful Japan’ which will strive to support the relief efforts for as long as possible. For at least 1 year we be releasing charity products among other efforts to raise donation money for the cause. To everyone who supports the Cheerful Japan movement – thank you, and know that your money is going where it is needed!

A singing face and a mike stand!

Just as with the Nendoroid, the figma also comes with this lovely expression!! It’s great to be able to create a kind of singing atmosphere with the pose as well.

You can either just put the mike stand on the ground or let her hold it like this! Here we have an acrobatic Miku singing her songs!

She also comes with two leeks!

I remember being amazed at the quality of these leeks back when the first figma was released – I’m just as impressed this time around as well! You can pose her with both, or just one – it’s up to you!

Last week, when we looked at this pile of goodies…

It was still wrapped up in the packaging paper, so it wasn’t easy to notice it… but there were some people who still managed to point out who it was! Today we’ll be taking a look at…

The young demon who has come to Earth, and with the help of Keima Katsuragi is ready to capture some runaway spirits!

This is in fact a Max Factory product! (･∀･)ﾉ
The sculpting is by Yukiwo Ageta, you can tell just by how she looks!!

You can see all sorts of lovely looking parts! Plus an four amazing expressions! Normally there are only three!

This is how she looks from the back!

The stand’s base is slightly different to the normal GSC stand – it makes a kind of M-shape. It’s a motif to show it’s a Max Factory product! (Probably :P)
It conserves space but still holds the Nendoroid up nice and securely!

Let’s move into the optional parts!
First up is her beloved broom!

Elsie is well known for her great ability to clean, so you have to give her a broom! You can also let her hold it in her right hand!

You can also see a bent left leg and bent left arm in this photo!
There is also a bent right leg for plenty of posing possibilities!

A smiling face and the capturing jar!

The jar she uses to capture the runaway spirits is also included! The bent arm is fitted with a join allowing you to bend it in the direction you need!

This is definitely a scene seen in the anime and manga quite often!!

What a wonderful idea for an extra!
When you actually see them with your own eyes you’ll probably be just as amazed as me as to how well they pulled off this particular part!

Today I’ll be making a couple of Good Smile related announcements.

A Good Smile Cafe x Hibichika Radio collaboration menu has started at the Matsudo Good Smile Cafe!

Based on the ideas sent in by customers, this is the menu the GSC Cafe and TYPE-MOON came up with in the end!

“A Man’s Romance!”

This menu item was thought up by Tawashi! The rice is made to look like Neko Ark!
This was previously seen at the Carnival Phantasm Cafe, but this time is tofu in place of the veggies, and it’s twice as spicy!

It was a little too hot for me just by itself, but mixing in some salad or egg really made it perfect!

For those who don’t think it’s spicy enough, you also get a little bottle of spice to add however much you like! If you’re feeling courageous, try some!

“Gáe Bolg!“

This one was thought up by Nekosakura, JIN and takemiho1314!
This is Lancer’s weapon made as a hot-dog covered in a salsa sauce! With pickles, lettuce and onion slices, it also makes for quite a healthy meal!

“Petite Ahnenerbe!” (Desert)

A menu thought up by Kimagure Gokku!
Syrup-covered anko with fruit that makes use of Hibiki and Chikagi’s image colors! Hibiki is orange, so there are oranges, while Chikagi is red which is anko! Plus the ice cream and blueberry on top!

You can only grab this at the Good Smile Cafe!

A big thank you who entered!

There were so many options to choose from – Good Smile had to pick a ‘Good Smile Prize’ and a ‘Mikatan Prize’… it was really hard to pick! (I ended up reading most of them multiple times to help decide…) It’s so nice to see how much Gumako is loved! I hope we’ll have another similar competition in the future – keep an eye open!

Sculpted by Tsumezuka-san, this lovely Gumako is ready to cheer everyone of with her pompons!  She also has some replaceable arms, some tentacles that can bend and a smiling face! Loads of extras for a scale figure!

Nendoroid Nymph

Yesterday, you might have seen these two lying in the spoils of war…

Today we’ll be taking a look at Nymph!

Ikaros was already released a couple of months ago, but in a few days Nymph will be released too, and you should be able to find her in stores – so lets take a closer look at her!

Nendoroid Nymph!

Nymph is the Electronic Warfare Angeloid, Type Beta, who came down to Earth in an attempt to bring Ikaros back!

As I said back with the prototype… that outfit is so sexy!
The slits at the sides of the one-piece are really something! 😛

When taking out the broken wings in the upper section, be careful they don’t pop out and go missing!

The clear wings look so beautiful!!

They are made so that the edges have a slightly darker blue look to them – a small touch that makes such a big difference.

The stand is the normal push-in type of stand, but it also comes with an extra extender piece to attach that makes sure that the wings and stand don’t get in the way of each other. It’s all detailed in the instructions included in the box, so just take a look there when putting it together!

You can pose her flying though the air!

A quick note now that we’re moving into the colder Winter months…
If you can’t get the wings on, just heat them or the figure up a little and it’ll become much easier to attach them!
Just warm them with your hands, or quickly put them underneath a kotatsu to warm them up and it becomes much easier to work with!

Upset face and a bent right arm!

Nymph is of course the kind of character that shows this kind of expression very often 0 and while she does look upset, it’s also so cute to see her like this – I just want to poke those cheeks! 😛 

In my opinion, the final version actually gives a softer feeling to this expression when compared to the prototype version, but I think the softer look actually looks even cuter! Great job production team!

Sitting down with an upward glance!

Her bottom actually kind of floats a little, so it’s not quite sitting – she is balancing on her twin tails! 😛

As you can see, the cape can be removed!!
This allows even more of her skin showing, so it seems to suit the expression well! Just looking at this picture makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside… but I promise it’s even better with the real thing!

Her chibi face and a packet of chips!

Fans of the show will know just how much Nymph loves snacking on things, so of course she has to come with something to snack on, along with hands to hold it!
And my best thing about her – this expression!!
Ikaros also had a similar expression – isn’t it just adorable! It suits the Nendoroid size so nicely!

Switching expressions with Gumako!

Both of them have blue eyes, so it actually works very well to exchange the expressions! (It would work with Snow Miku as well!!) The eyebrows do give it away a little, but those who are willing to make some changes can easily create all new expressions either way.  I must say that I really like the laid back pose that Gumako is in here! xD

Nendoroid Haruka Morishima!

A second anime season is on the way of Amagami SS, and from the series comes a Nendoroid of the beautiful girl who attracts the gazes of all the guys at the school -Haruka Morishima!

I got so many mails with ASCII art asking “Where is the Haruka Morishima review~?”, so I’m glad I can finally show it to everyone!

Her trademark long, black curly hair has been beautifully shrunk down to Nendoroid size.  Even though she is a Nendoroid she is so very detailed! I hope the production team can get the final version looking just as lovely!

If you use the pointing index finger, you can recreate the scene from the popular key visual! Just cross the legs a little, and take a photo from slighly above!

An adorable embarrassed expression!

I can almost hear her cute voice coming out just by looking at this!

She also comes with a left outstretched arm for this pose!
She even comes with extra hand parts with  interlocking fingers!

A school bag and hand to hold it!

You can’t have a school character without her school bag! You can also put the hand on the outstretched arm to make her hold it in front of her instead!

But more importantly, she is brushing through her hair with her pinky in the air!! (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3
It’s so very classy, and looks great as a Nendoroid!! It’s amazing how sexy she manages to come out, even as a Nendoroid!

“Behind the knees, please!”

This is from the famous scene where she asks the main character to kiss her behind the knees!! It’s great to see scenes like this in Nendoroid format! When I first saw this scene in the series I was somewhat shocked, but at the same time I was applauding and cheering in my mind. You could tell just how hard the main character was trying to please!!

She also comes with a troubled face!!
She really does look quite troubled, doesn’t she – all for you to enjoy!!! 😛

Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa was Nitroplus’ 10th year anniversary project comes this 1/7th scale figure of Muramasa Sansei, the human form of the Tsurugi that the main character, Kageaki Minato makes a contract with!

The first brown-skinned figure in a very long time!!
The contrast with her white knee-socks is great!!

That embarrassed expression is so cute!!

This embarrassed expression in the maid outfit is straight from the game! The original illustration by Namaniku ATK has been converted to figure form perfectly!

The details on the apron and lacing!!

The illustration didn’t even feature these parts, but they’re still an absolute wonder to look at on the figure form! The little wrinkles even on the lacing makes it look just like the real thing!

A high-table, cup and sugar bowl are included!

As you can see, they are just as beautifully detailed as the figure itself! That table looks so classy!! The lovely antique designs are also of course all identical to the onces that featured in the game!

These little extras are also all free to move around as you please – they are not attached to the base. You can even place the cup on the silver tray she is carrying!

The original illustration had the exact same kind of feeling – you just couldn’t see anything. It’s amazing how well that translated to the figure when you look at it from a similar angle to the illustration.

Nendoroid Sanada Yukimura!

He is the second Nendoroid from the popular Sengoku Basara series, following on from the previous Nendoroid Date Masamune! We heard all the fans voices, and we’re glad to finally bring more Sengoku Basara Nendoroids!

This is how he looks from the back!

The mark of the Sanada family – the 6 golden coins are clearly visible from the back with absolutely gorgeous painting! Even the headband is fitted with ball-joints allowing for some wonderfully dynamic poses!

Yukimura’s beloved spears!

You can’t have a Sengoku Basara figure without his weapons!! He also comes with a bent right leg for a more battle-like pose!

He comes two headbands, one straight one, and one fluttering one!
Recreate the most epic of battle scenes from the series all on your desk or in your display case!!

Joining parts to connect the two spears!

Combining the two spears to recreate a whole different weapon for Yukimura to fight with!! He also comes with a bent arm to recreate this pose here with his weapon resting on his shoulder!

Oonoshi came to me quite exited mentioning that this was the first Nendoroid with a visible collarbone! 😛 It’s a bit hard to see it behind his six-coin necklace, but it really is there!!

Oyakata-sama!!

First up is his inspired expression!

This is the expression he always gives when showing his respect and affection for Takeda Shingen!! It really keeps that dog-like loyalty feeling, but at the same time, that’s just what makes Yukimura so awesome! 😛

He really looks like he is angry with himself here… those who know the series will know he can get upset with himself quite easily, but to think you’d be able to get that feeling in Nendoroid form!!

His next expression is this regretful face!
Those clenched teeth really get the feeling across!!!
