WonFes has comes to an end and we are already a week into August! The effects of WonFes are still lingering on with many members of staff too… I myself have still not managed to clean up my desk…

Anyway, today I went and visiting a little gathering that has become an established tradition after WonFes…

What is the Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition?

The event is a special industry-only exhibition run by Good Smile Company which allows dealers and the media to get a close look at upcoming releases from various manufacturers.

Just like last time, the event took place in the
Akihabara UDX building!

Even on the hot Summer day it was, many different makers and people from the media came by to take a look at the various figures on display at the event! Thank you all so much!!

Sachiko Koshimizu: Self-Proclaimed Cute Ver.

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a product which is already up for order!

The 1/8th Scale:

Self-Proclaimed Cute Ver.! ♪

From the popular social game ‘IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Sachiko Koshimizu in her ‘Self-Proclaimed Cute’ outfit! Every part of the figure has been faithfully sculpted to match the original – from the design of the outfit, the pose which lets her show off her cuteness, and even her facial expression – overflowing with confidence!

Her cuteness really is a sin! （*´▽｀*）♡♥

The cute-type 142cm Sacchan has arrived on my desk for a performance! ♪

Looking up at her from a lower angle definitely suits the pose well! That devilish smile and downward glance are simply fantastic!

Let me zoom out a little bit more to get the full mike stand in the shot!

I’m sure there are many producers out there who just can’t get enough of that expression on her face! It’s just daring anyone to come for her!

“I love the way that everyone wants me…! But I know that you’re the one that wants me most, Producer-san!

The intricate frills of the dress and the long winding ribbon both look fantastic! The striped design of the dress adds a bit of an extravagant look to her body too!! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Not to mention the black wings made with semi-transparent parts! ♪
You can just see some color through them!

Let’s go back to the front once again…

Her delicious stomach!! ＜●＞＜●＞

Sachiko’s rather slim build and pale skin look so amazing! I can’t help but want to touch her – this is really an amazing product for any collection! (*´Д｀)=з

The textures of the skin, gloves and skirt are also all very different looking! They really all look to be made from different materials!!

The design of her collar with its small black hearts have been sculpted in perfect detail! Not only the collar, but other small items such as her hair accessory and microphone are also very intricately detailed!

Looking at the chain attached to her collar brings an amazing sense of realism to the figure as well… I can hardly believe it’s not a real chain! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

The ever so slight shadow added to her humble little breasts is also lovely!

By the way! The planner for this figure was none other than Phat! Company’s Takamatsu-shi… and as I’m sure everyone has come to know, he has a distinct love for making designs with incredible shoe soles! Let’s see how they look this time!!

As usual they are very thoroughly made!! As expected of the shoe master!!
(This was actually the first part of the figure I looked at… ( -ﾉｪ-))

There are so many angles that she looks amazing from that I don’t have time to show them all… but here is another great example!

Her smooth back and the sides of her stomach for your viewing pleasure! The slight glimpse at her legs under the skirt also adds a little tease to the angle – plus you can even see she is pointing out her pinky finger from this angle… it somehow gives off a rather naughty feeling! There is so much to enjoy with this figure!! ♡

Personally, my very first photo as well as this photo are my best of her! ♪

But I’m sure all the producers out there can find an angle that suits them!

Keep the sinfully cute idol by your side!

I wouldn’t expect anything less of one of the best producers in the offices, Takamatsu-P!

You can really see how much love for the idols has gone into the making of this figure series! ( ；∀；)

From the popular pachinko series ‘Sea Story’ comes a Nendoroid of Marine-chan! Her cheerful and energetic personality has been converted into chibi size for fans to enjoy! Marine-chan comes with three different expressions including her standard face, a radiant smiling face as well as a cute winking face. She also comes with flippers and a selection of sea creatures as optional parts allowing you to recreate various scenes and poses from the pachinko machine!

Marine-chan has jumped out of the pachinko game world and into the Nendoroid world! ♪

Mental Model Takao

The first thing that comes to people’s mind is the ocean! But as someone who can’t swim it seems rather unrelated to me! That said, I do quite enjoy walking along the beach and collecting shells, and building sand castles…

Anyway! Today I’m going to be taking a look at Phat! Company’s…

1/8th Scale:

Mental Model Takao! ♪

From the anime series with a movie on the way, ‘Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-‘ comes a figure of Mental Model Takao, the heavy cruiser from the Fleet of Fog, who falls in love for the main character of the series, Gunzou Chihaya. Her impressive body and swirling ponytails have all been carefully sculpted as she sits resting on one of the Takao-class Heavy Cruiser’s turrets looking up from her book with a gentle smile.

The tsundere heavy cruiser! ♪

The long-awaited scale figure of the beautiful blue-haired mental model, the Heavy Cruiser Takao! ☆

She has been posed sitting down looking slightly to the side with a confident, intelligent look to her! The little mole by her mouth is also lovely! （*´▽｀*）

However her mature appearance is mainly on the outside, as her inner personality is determined to win Gunzou’s heart! A lovable side to her personality that adds an extra element of cuteness to Takao!

This is how she looks from the back!!

Her characteristic long blue hair has been very intricately sculpted! Plus the black chocker around her neck as well as the unique pattern on her collar have been faithfully included on the figure! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The shoulder blades you can see through her thin outfit are also lovely!

Looking at her back makes we want to run up from behind and give her a hug around those lovely bare arms!! ( -ﾉｪ-)

Hmm…. but what is that book she is holding…? ( ﾟдﾟ) Ah!

It’s the book she bought after she met Gunzou!

“A Ship and her Captain”!

Plus with the help of the animation company Sanzigen, the book has been faithfully made down to the finest of details using the original data from the anime series! (°Д°；≡°Д°；)

Sanzigen is always so willing to help with the smaller details!! （*´▽｀*）

As if the cover wasn’t enough, even the inside of the book has the writing from the original stamped onto it! I love the small details on little accessories like this so much!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

The bent S-shape of her body and the twist in her hips is all so sexy! So sexy!! Yet at the same time the pose is overflowing with elegance as well! Takao is always prepared for any battle! ♪ (especially a battle of love!)

Looking from the back and above gives her that elegant sexy look… but what about from the front? Let’s take a closer look!

Look at that bare skin between her stockings and dress, as well as a lovely little belly button! (´□｀●)

While the little peek at her belly button is lovely, the bare skin showing on the sides is also beautiful! She’s honestly not wearing an overly showy outfit, and yet it seems to be overflowing with sexiness… (ﾟＡﾟ;)

While her upper body has a very slim feel to it, her legs are a little more plump looking! It gives a nice sense of equilibrium! Girls definitely need a bit of meat to them!!

Also… Takao is posed sitting on a gun turret… but I wonder…

(・∀・) “She isn’t permanently attached to the gun turret! The final product will connect the stand and figure together with a powerful magnet!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Uchitarou from Phat! Company!

(・∀・) “We didn’t want to add any unnecessary tabs to the figure or the stand, so we decided to go with magnets to hold them together!”

Which means you can pose her sitting in areas other than the gun turret!

(・∀・) “Yep! You will need to find a specific area which suits her size of course, but you can easily enjoy displaying her without the included stand!”

Although that said, the paintwork and sculpting of the stand is also quite a highlight… it might be hard to separate the two! Be sure to take a nice close look if you choose to pick her up! ♪

The heavy cruiser with the mind of a love-struck girl! ♥

Nendoroid Honoka Kousaka

I start my morning every day with some delicious sweet breads! The sugary goodness gives me the energy I need to get me through the day!

Anyway, today I’ll be taking a look at a Nendoroid who had her birthday yesterday! ♫

Nendoroid Honoka Kousaka! ♡

From the popular anime series ‘Love Live!’ comes a Nendoroid of the bright and cheerful leader of μ’s who always has a smile on her face, Honoka Kousaka! She has been sculpted wearing her outfit used in the song ‘Bokura wa Ima no Naka de’.

Honoka comes with two different smiling expressions, one with a gentle smile on her face and another filled with energy! She also comes with a variety of different parts that make all sorts of poses from the opening theme of the first series possible in Nendoroid size. Be sure to display her with the previously announced Nendoroid Nico Yazawa, as well as the other members of μ’s who are scheduled to follow shortly!

Oooooooooohhhh!!! （*´▽｀*）

The founding member of μ’s who inspires the others with her cheerful personality! Honoka-chan is joining the Nendoroids! ♥

The photo above is of course the pose she takes just before breaking into song during the first season’s opening theme! All the frills, ribbons and heart shapes on her outfit are all beautifully detailed!

The ribbon on her chest is a lovely golden yellow and orange, Honoka’s image color! If you look up close you’ll notice the back choker around her neck is also faithfully included! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The heart-shaped holes on her gloves also look great!

The frills upon frills all over her outfit look great – this kind of design is really the epitome of idol outfits! It’s so cute! ♥

Also, although she is wearing a similar outfit to the previously announced Nendoroid Nico Yazawa, there have been all sorts of little changes to match her character! ( -ﾉｪ-)

Let’s take a closer look at her expression parts!♪

Along with the gentle smile I’ve been using up until now, she also comes with a more energetic smile, ready to pass on her cheerful side to everyone!

Honoka-chaaaann!!! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

Just look how happy she is!! Apparently the expression parts for Honoka all have a special little reason for being included by the figure’s planner… so let’s see what she has to say about them!

(・∀・) “The gentle smiling expression was based on the smile seen in the Story Mode of the smartphone game ‘Love Live! School Idol Festival’! I’m sure that whether you’re a fan of the game or the anime, it’s definitely a figure that captures her personality nicely! It’s the kind of smile that makes anyone who sees her feel happy inside!”

The gentle expression also has a bit more of a mature feeling to it compared to the other smile…

(ｴ・д・) “From the second season onward Honoka has a bit more of a composed air to her, I think this expression captures that side of her too!”

\ Expression Painter: Eco-shi! /

Eco-shi is a huge Love Live fan and also responsible for the expressions of the 1/8th scale Honoka Kousaka and Nendoroid Nico Yazawa!! ☆

(ｴ・д・) “While the main inspiration was from the game, we also took the expression from season two, where Honoka speaks with Hanayo-chan and Rin-chan, into consideration!

The confidence in her expression shows how much Honoka-chan is a pillar for the other members of μ’s!

(ｴ・д・) “We really wanted to capture Honoka through her expressions! I think it came out really well!”

(浜・∀・) “Speaking of capturing Honoka… this smile just beams with her cheerful personality!”

(浜・∀・) “This cheerful smile could easily be considered one of Honoka-chan’s biggest charms! While it’s also a smiling expression, the feeling to it is rather different to the gentle smile!”

Hey! I know this pose! It’s the ‘Susumeru darou ♪” part of the song!

(浜・∀・) “Yep! There are all sorts of poses from the opening theme that you can recreate, just like with Nico-chan! For example…”

(浜・∀・) “At the moment, Umi-chan and Kotori-chan are still only illustrations, but once the Nendoroids are released you’ll be able to recreate everything you see here with the figures!”

I can’t wait to get all nine members together!! They will look so amazing!!

(浜・∀・) “The other members are all in the production line! Just give us a little time and they’ll be ready to join Honoka and Nico-chan!!

I’ll be sitting and awaiting them patiently, and I’m sure many fans feel the same way! (｀・ω・´)ｼ

I want Honoka-chan to be there to inspire me every day! She might be rather small as a Nendoroid, but the cheerful power is just as powerful as ever! ♥

(ｲ ・ω・) “I was the sculptor for Nendoroid Honoka-chan!”

I heard you were a big fan of the character which led to that! Was there anything about her sculpting that made difficult to achieve your vision for her?

( ｲ・ω・) “There was! I really love Honoka-chan and wanted to make her as perfect as possible… so after quite a way into the sculpting I got a little uneasy and wondered whether my work was good enough for her – but in the end I spoke with some of the other members of the production team, got some great advice and was able to create something that both myself, and I think any fans of the series will be glad to own! She’s really filled with all my own love for the character, and I hope that will allow her charm to reach all the fans out there!”

Super Sonico: Tiger Hoodie Ver.

Somehow we’re already in August this year! I can hardly believe how time has flown by… This month is filled with events including Comike, CharaHobby and Anisama!

Anyway, today I’ll be taking a look at a figure already up for preorder…
Super Sonico: Tiger Hoodie Ver. ♡

Super Sonico is here once again, wearing her classic tiger hoodie! The 1/8th scale figure is sculpted in a lovely dynamic pose, skipping along with her guitar case on her back! Her adorable smile is ready to capture your heart and never let go again!

Sonico-chan!!! （*´▽｀*）

She is wearing her adorable hoodie complete with a tail and ears in a 1/8th scale! Those of you who own Nendoroid Super Sonico : Tiger Hoodie Ver. will notice it’s the same outfit, just in 1/8th scale size! The giant pom-poms hanging all over and the fluffy rim of the hood all look so soft and squishy!!

But perhaps more important than the outfit…
Is the careful work done on her body!!♥


It wouldn’t be Sonico if it wasn’t for impressive bust!!
Just look at how they push the T-shirt upward!

Taking the words from Otanaka-shi of GSC’s planning team…
“You could shelter from the rain under those boobs…”

Her voluptuous body has been sculpted faithfully to the original design!

Let’s take a look how she looks from behind! ♪

Even the stitching on the guitar case has been carefully added to the sculpt! The sheepskin boots have also been made to look all soft to the touch!

My personal highlight from the back is this part! (｀・ω・´)

Behind the Knees!! ♪

Her legs are beautiful, simply beautiful!
This low angle also gives a nice look at her plump thighs!

Her expression is also not to be missed!

How could anyone not crack a smile while looking at this adorable face… ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

The more intricate little creases on her clothes are also amazingly done!

Another somewhat important thing to mention, is that I’m not taking photos of a prototype here! This is a complete PVC sample!

Most of the products I review on the blog are painted prototypes, whereas this is an actual product sample! What this means is that it is exactly the same as the final product that will reach everyone who orders her!

That said – obviously we always strive to keep the same level of quality between the prototype and final versions! There are however sometimes slight difference due to the materials used!

This product has already gone through all those changes, and still is unbelievable quality! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Be sure to take a nice close look when your own Sonico gets delivered!

Nendoroid Solid Snake

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I have a strange urge to build a secret base out of cardboard boxes… then I will hide inside away from the world for the rest of today! ╭( ・ㅂ・)و ̑̑

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Solid Snake!

 

From “METAL GEAR SOLID” comes a Nendoroid of the main character of the series, the infiltration specialist ‘Solid Snake’! The rough look of his character has been preserved while still giving him the cuter appearance provided by the Nendoroid design! 

He is the first ever Nendoroid designed to be posed in a prone position, allowing you to display him sneaking around just like in the game! Optional parts include his handgun, an assault rifle as well as a cardboard box to keep him hidden! An optional low-polygon face part is also included, allowing fans of the original game to enjoy the classic Snake once again!

Oooooooooohhhh!!( ﾟдﾟ)

The sneaky Snake is joining the Nendoroid series in possibly his cutest form ever! But that said… his muscles are still rather impressive!! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Snake’s fit physical form has been kept in place even through the change into Nendoroid form! ♥

His arms and legs are fully articulated similar to those of the previously released Spider Man and Iron Man! This allows for all sorts of poses from the game!

Let’s take a peek at how he looks from the back! ♪

His bandana flutters about behind him!

The bandana is attached with a little ball joint allowing you to adjust the angle to match whatever pose you want! The back pouch on his hips is also nicely detailed! (｀・ω・´)

However! How many of you noticed the other change I made with this photo?! Here is a hint…

He comes with two different guns!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Yep! The first photo has him displayed holding his handgun, while the second has him equipped with the much larger assault rifle!! The fact that he still keeps his collected appearance in chibi size is the best!

It’s like a chibi version of Snake stepped right out from the game! ♪

For those of you that want a closer look at the assault rifle…

/ Polygon! \ 

That’s not just an assault rifle, it’s also a very different face!! Snake comes complete with a low-polygon face part to recreate the classic PS1 version of Snake! Not only that, but it’s also made using the actual 3D data from the original PS1 game!

Just like the original! Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟﾉ)ﾉ

It’s amazingly nostalgic and strangely cute all at once! ♪
Definitely a part unique to Snake!

(・∀・) “Here are a few other options you’re not likely to see on other Nendoroids!

#1: The Communicating Pose!

I know this pose!!

(・∀・) “He specially comes with an alternate left leg part allowing you to pose him communicating while on a mission!

Even his hand is posed as if supporting the ear piece! ♪

#2: The Cardboard Box!

 

(・∀・) “It wouldn’t have been Snake if this part wasn’t included! The box’s design is the exact same box that Nendoroid Snake is planned to ship out in too!”

The design for the boxes that products will be shipped out in are generally only done around when the product is ready to ship… but Snake’s was planned a little in advance just for this! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

(・∀・) “Yep! The sides and lid are all just a miniaturized version of the actual design!”

But… does he fit inside?
Can you pose Snake inside the box?!

#3: Pose him Prone!

(・∀・) “Of course he can fit inside! Noone will suspect a thing!”

He looks rather cute peeking out!
Plus he seems to be in an interesting stance…

(・∀・) “Everyone who has played the game will know just how important the ability to go prone is! Snake comes with a special addition to his torso which allows him to take slightly more difficult poses like this, that wouldn’t normally be possible on Nendoroids!”

I see, I see!!

The extra bend in his torso allows for this sneaky pose!! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

(・∀・) “Moving his arms up to underneath his chin adds even more of a sneaky look to the pose too!”

I want to display him sneaking around all sorts of places in my room!

#3: The Cigarette!

(・∀・) “Another item necessary to display Snake in some of the awesome poses he deserves!”

The pose almost looks too epic for him to be a Nendoroid!! (； ･`ω･´)

He’s too cool for meeee!!! っ(*´Д`)

(・∀・) “So many different posing options, and even an extra head for a brush of nostalgia!”

ex:ride Spride.06 – TT-Zero 13 & Tatenashi Sarashiki: Cat Ver.

I have never ridden on a motorbike in my life… as I do not have a license to drive one! That said I’ve never even been a passenger so I guess that’s no excuse! (´；ω；｀)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at something FREEing announced last month!

ex:ride Spride.06 – TT-Zero 13!

The motorbike which completed the 2013 Isle of Man TT race as the pioneer of electric motorbikes, the ‘TT-Zero 13’ is being transformed into figma size!

The unique appearance of the bike covered with racing Miku’s lovable design has all been faithfully converted into figma size. Be sure to display it together with ‘figma Racing Miku 2013: EV MIRAI ver.’ which will be going on sale at the same time.

Oooooooo ((((；ﾟДﾟ)))) oooooohh!!

All the details are the bike look exactly like they do on the real thing!!

The paintwork on the chassis is amazing, and the details of the bike itself are also very intricately sculpted!

Even the jagged points on the wheel are each carefully added! FREEing has really done amazing work!

Working hard to bring the figure world and the real world closer once more! (｀・ω・´)

\ Size comparison with Nendoroid Mikudayo! / 

Even Mikudayo has trouble standing out with this 190mm long bike in front of her! (； ･`ω･´)

Unfortunately, the bike is a little too small to have a Nendoroid ride… but as a part of the ex:ride series…

figmas have no problem taking a ride!!

At the same time the bike was announced for preorder, so was Max Factory’s figma Racing Miku 2013: EV MIRAI ver.! She comes with special parts that allow you to pose the jacket around her waist blowing behind her as she rides to victory!!ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Pose the long twintails as if blowing behind her for an even more dynamic pose too!! If you prefer you can also switch out for the helmet part and make her look even more the part as a racer!

I wish I could go on a bike tour with this sporty Miku-san! （*´▽｀*）

While we’re looking at FREEing’s products, let me take a look at one more that was announced the other day! ♪

Tatenashi Sarashiki: Cat Ver.!

From the popular anime series ‘IS (Infinite Stratos)’ comes a figure of Tatenashi Sarashiki, the IS Academy’s Student Council President. She has been sculpted in the cute white cat outfit from the series!

The outfit shows off her glamorous body and the charming pose just seems to be inviting you to join her! She is also an impressive 1/4th scale! The other heroines will also be joining the series soon!

Sexy!!! （*´▽｀*）

A huge 1/4th scale figure of Tatenashi wearing an outfit that shows almost as much skin as nothing more than an apron… and comes with cute ears to boot! The beautiful curves you can see from this angle are simply amazing!! ♡

But she also looks fantastic from behind as well!

The shoulder blades, bottom and thighs all look so touchable!!

She is filled with the same sexy charm from the series! (*´Д`)
The slight curves and indents around her belly button are also amazing!

The S-shape made with her hips and bottom show off her gorgeous feminine body! I really could hardly hold myself back from running my finger along her back! ♪

The shiny look of her bra is also so pretty! The contrast between the shininess and her soft looking skin makes the skin seem even more soft and delicious…

Even her boots have been very carefully sculpted – look at the little creases at the bends! Large figures with this much detail never cease to amaze me – they start to look so very real!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

The other IS girls have either been announced or are coming soon, so be sure to keep an eye out for them! I’m sure having all of them on display together will be an absolute treat for the eyes!♥

Nendoroid Lady Venera!

It’s so hot… I am really craving something cold to eat… some shaved ice would be perfect. I would much down on it while praising those who conquered the preparation of such a simple and tasty Summer treat! (｀・ω・´)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Lady Venera! ♡

From the anime series ‘World Conquest Zvezda Plot’ comes a Nendoroid of the secret society Zvezda’s mysterious leader, Lady Venera! Her standard face, shouting face and upset face all look adorable, even with her mask covering them up!

Optional parts include the plushie doll ‘Galactica’ which she always keeps by her side, as well as her ultimate weapon, the Mechanized Giant Fist! She can take all sorts of popular poses from the series, and you can even pose her in her classic ‘conquest’ pose!

Ooooooohhhhh!! （*´▽｀*）

As if she wasn’t cute enough already, Zvezda’s leader has become even cuter in Nendoroid size! This famous pose is fully reproducible! ♡♥♡

This is how she looks from the back! ♪

Her long, fluffy looking hair looks beautiful!

Even the star that floats above her head has been included – it slips inbetween the hair parts with a clear plastic tab!

The sharp, mechanical looking hand parts, her fluffy flowing hair and soft looking skin provide all sorts of contrasting different textures to enjoy!

The little ribbons placed all over her outfit are also faithfully included!

She even comes with her favorite little plushie doll, Galactica! ♪

The soft, round appearance makes me wish it was a real plushie that I could hug…! (*´Д`)

Her confident smile also looks lovely!

The combination of Lady Venera’s adorable voice, tone and this outfit… they’re just too cute!

(・∀・) “You can even make that pose!

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Yassan !

(・∀・) “Whilst Lady Venera certainly is cute, you can’t forget her strong, epic side!

In other words, you can make poses like this!!

(・∀・) “Yep! You can pose her lifting up her huge mechanical fist!“

(・∀・) “You can also bring it down…”

But… what is that thing in front of the fist?!

(・∀・) “A Zvezda logo floating up in the air, to even further recreate the famous scene from the show!”

When you look up close you realize what an intricate design it is…!

( ・ω・) “The design of the fist is also rather detailed!”

We’re also joined by a member of the 3D sculpting team, Iguchi!

( ・ω・) “Nendoroids tend to have a cuter look to them, but an item like this needs to keep a certain powerful, mechanical feel to it, so we paid careful attention to detail while sculpting it.”

You can see the small little indents and bumps when you look up close! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

( ・ω・) “But that’s not all, there are a few things I want to point out!”

– #1: Cape Joints –

( ・ω・) “Special joints are included at two points in her cape allowing you to change the way it drapes behind her!”

Oooh!! It’s always nice to be able to match the cape with your poses!

– #2: Back –

( ・ω・) “Lady Venera has a rather bold outfit that shows off her lovely back and stomach… we just had to make them look good!

Even as a little Nendoroid the shoulder blades and spine… not to mention that little gap down toward her bottom!!

( ・ω・) “They’re lovely…! We didn’t want to ruin the sculpting of her back with a stand connector, so we are currently planning to have the stand connect into her hair parts!”

It really does look magnificent for a Nendoroid…!

( ・ω・) “It might be hard to tell from photos of the figure itself, so I also decided to share an image of the 3D data to show the lovely curves of her stomach!”

Ooooohhh!!! ( ﾟдﾟ)

The intricate little lines to the left and right of her stomach!! I want to run my fingers along them!!

( ・ω・) “Once she’s released and in your own collection, feel free to enjoy her back and stomach to your heart’s content!”

(・∀・) “Finally, let me introduce the final expression – her ‘how dare you’ upset expression!”

I-It’s so cute!!! (*´Д｀)=з

(・∀・) “The confident smile and powerful shouting expressions are great for Lady Venera, but we wanted to add an expression that shows off her childish side as well!”

She really looks rather upset…

(・∀・) “I hope that fans will pick her up and give her the love she deserves!”

WonHobby 20 Sneak Preview!

The last working day before WonFes!!

Just one more day! We’re so close and yet so far!

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

The offices are filled with everyone getting ready for the big day!

– Yuri-chan and Hamako getting things ready for the exhibits –

– The painting team getting the finishing touches on products –

– Various staff putting together the stand-up character plates –

We also had the usual pre-WonFes pizza party!

Everyone in the offices – GSC, Max Factory and Phat! are all going to be taking part in WonFes… so we always have a little get together to build some spirit before the big event!

Even the new recruits into GSC have also been hard at work with preparations… this gives them and everyone else a few minutes to take a bit of a break! (o・ω・o)ﾉ

Lets take a look at what the newest additions to the GSC team were up to…

A Nico-Nico smile for everyone!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Nico Yazawa!

From the popular anime ‘Love Live!’ comes a figure of the Idol Research Club President who tries day and night to be a better idol, Nico Yazawa! She has been sculpted wearing her outfit used in the song ‘Bokura wa Ima no Naka de’.

Nico comes with alternate parts that allow her to be posed in her well-known ‘Nico-Nico Smile’ pose, and she also comes with the winking expression seen in the opening theme of the first season! Enjoy the company of Nico in her frilly stage outfit! ♪

Nico-Nico-Nii!

“Everyone’s idol” Nico-Nii is joining the Nendoroid series, and she can be displayed in all sorts of her famous poses!

This is how she looks from the back! ♫

The smaller details like the heart-shaped cuts on her gloves and the lovely frilly skirt are all faithfully converted into Nendoroid size!

(・∀・) “Don’t forget that this is also her birthday week!”

We’re joined by Nico’s planner, Hamako!

(・∀・) “Her birthday was back on the 22nd, but at least we can still celebrate with her Nendoroid being announced in the same week!”

I celebrated her birthday by upping this image on my Twitter!

What are your most recommended points on the figure this time, Hamako?

(・∀・) “There are quite a few… but let me touch on some of the points that I really like about her!”

1) Stage Outfit

(・∀・) “Even in Nendoroid size the chequered skirt, tiny ribbons on her knee socks and the frills on her blouse are all carefully detailed!”

The red, black and white colors make a lovely combination! ♡

It’s the same outfit that the 1/8th Scale Honoka Kousaka is wearing! ♫

(・∀・) “The upcoming Nendoroids of μ’s will all be wearing this outfit to really make it a complete set for them to perform together! It’s the outfit from the song ‘Bokura wa Ima no Naka de’.”

2) Expressions

(・∀・) “Along with the lovely smile for her ‘Nico-Nico-Nii’ pose, she also comes with this lovely face!”

Ooooooohhhh!! （*´▽｀*）

(・∀・） “These needlessly cute poses really do suit Nico-Nii perfectly!”

The winking expression captures her cute and determined sides all at once!

By the way… the expressions for Nico’s Nendoroid were drawn by the same Eco-shi that did the expression on Honoka Kousaka! The expression is filled Love Live! love! (｡・ω・｡)ﾉ

3) Poses

(・∀・) “As I’m sure many fans will already have figured out – the combination of this outfit and the winking expression means you can easily display her in this adorable pose from the original opening theme!”

(・∀・) “Not only is there an alternate stand, but the bonus also comes with small and large extension parts to alter the height of the base – this makes it easier to create a more interesting stage!”

I see, I see! So the image above is just example use of each of the extension parts!

(・∀・) “Future releases of Love Live! Nendoroids will include similar parts as GSC Online bonuses, so you can collect up and build an impressive stage for them to perform on!”

In other words… once all nine members of μ’s have been released, I’ll be able to recreate the opening theme in Nendoroid size!
