Some gigantic box has found it’s way to my desk!!

Another prototype *･ﾟﾟ･*:..:*･ﾟ(n‘∀‘)ηﾟ･*:..:*･ﾟﾟ･*!!

As I mentioned yesterday, the prototypes are very contested at the moment, but it seems a fairy by the name of Kahoyama managed to get hold of this one for me today!! Thank you!!

The figure is actully in pieces here and I’m a bit worried as to whether or not I’ll be able to put it together correctly… but I’ll give it my best shot!

From DOG DAYS:
Leonmitchelli Galette des Rois!

From the popular anime series with a second season on the air, ‘DOG DAYS’ comes a 1/8th scale figure to follow on from Princess Millhi – Leonmitchelli Galette des Rois, the the leader and Princess of the Galette Lion Army Territory! She is posed in the epic pose from with ending theme of the series, wielding her sword and shield ready for battle!

It’s such a lovely contrast to the gentle pose Millhi was in!! Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟ )

I’ve taken a picture of the two of them together at the end of the post, so you’ll see them together soon!

This is how she looks from the back!

You can’t really tell from the front, but when you see her from the back you can see just how wide her cloak spreads out!! It almost seems to big to be a 1/8th scale figure!!

She looks ready for anything!

With her sword and shield drawn she’s ready for battle… and the smile on her face shows just how easy she thinks it’ll be!

The sculpting of her hair flowing behind her is incredible… just as incredible as her beautiful bust! Of course I’ve got a close up of that for everyone!!(´∀｀)

Yep! Truly magnificent! (ﾟωﾟ）

I think the forward-bent pose of the figure is the reason she looks so amazing. You can quite literally see the gravity pulling down on her chest here. ^^;

I think an angle like this is one of the best ways to show off some skin while while still wearing clothes. 😛

Her lovely thin waist and hot pants!

The more you look at this photo the more you’ll appreciate it… it’s not really visible if you look straight at her, but just with a slight angle change you can really enjoy her body’s curves!

Trying to see parts of the figure that you can’t quite see easily means even more to me than having a completely naked figure! You just don’t get the same kind of excitement if everything is already visible for you!

Her sword, shield and armor!

Whenever I review a figure I think I focus on the skin too much, but just look at the detail on the armor and weapons too!

The paintwork on the armor in particular really makes it look heavy and realistic, as if really were made from metal!

Nendoroid Petite Reset-chan! (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)

This little Nendoroid was a pre-order bonus for the Rance Quest game, so she is probably quite difficult to get hold of now… she’s so small, but the amount of detail is still amazing!(((ﾟДﾟ)))

But even those who did manage to get the little Nendoroid won’t remember the little ghost beside her! The ghost belongs to the prototype I’ll be taking a look at today!

1/8th Scale Reset Kalar!

Alicesoft ran a poll on their official site in order to select the most popular female character from their games, with the winner to be made into a figure!

The mysterious Reset Kalar from Rance Quest took first place in the poll, and thus has been made into this lovely  figure! I can just imagine her adorable voice while looking at the figure!

This is how she looks from the back!

The figure makes sure not to lose any part of the cuteness Reset-chan is known for – all the proportions are kept perfectly and the finest details are included to create a quality product that fans can be proud of!

The pose has a lovely dynamic feel to it, as if she is about to dash forward. I also love the way her skirt is fluttering around!

She’ll be gorgeous when she grows up!

Although I guess she is already more than gorgeous enough! Reset really is such a perfect example of cuteness, and the figure brings it out so nicely!

Some lower angle shots!

I feel a little bad taking pictures of her down at this angle…. but it’s my job! I have to!! Look at the lovely soft looking area just beneath her knees, not to mention the creases in her tights!

The slightly thicker area between her calves and ankles really makes the legs look wonderful! The work that sculptors do never ceases to amaze me!

Such beautiful coloring!

Reset-chan doesn’t use that many colors, but the contrast between the colors are truly beautiful! The little areas of moss green and shiny gold really give the figure an elegant look, and the light colors on the outfit also match up with her blue hair so nicely!

You can see the weight of the dress!

The way she has been sculpted really gives you a feel for the gravity pulling down on the skirt. Just imagine for a second that she let go – can’t you just see the dress falling down? Not to mention the material of the skirt looks so soft and silky to the touch… I could look at her for ages and never get bored!

A ghost of Queen Pastel is included!

She even comes with a little stand to display her floating up beside Reset-chan! She is made from transparent clear parts and has a cute expression!

The sculpting of the pleats is stunning!

It’s not a part of the figure that you’ll notice at first, but I love the way you can see her leg distorting the pleats in the dress!

If you decide to grab her, be sure to take the time to look at every inch of her so you don’t miss out on incredible little details like this one!

The 5th Puella Magi Madoka Magica 1/8th Scale Figure:
Kyouko Sakura!

From the anime series that received a number of awards in 2011, ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a figure of the Puella Magi with a red ponytail – Kyouko Sakura. She is posed equipped with her spear in a dynamic pose that looks ready to jump to life at any moment!

As you can see, her spear is huge!!

Combining cute girls with big weapons is one of the best ways to create moe! However, if you’re short on space you can also remove the spear and display her without it – I’ll take a closer look at this option a little later!

A lovely, dynamic pose!!

Her lovely slim build suits a figure perfectly, and I also love the way her Puella Magi outfit is flowing out behind her! She really does look like she is about to jump to life!

Her moe fang is so adorable!!

This picture is zoomed in quite a lot, but even this close up her expression is still beautiful! They say the expression is the most important part of a figure, and I have to say I think this smile is perfect!

This is how she looks from the back!

She is posed bending forward while standing on one leg – you can see a lot of work has gone into the posing – the leg, stand and spear are all neatly facing the same angle! Plus, even from the back the dynamic posing really has an incredible effect! Great job!!

The outfit has such nice textures!

The cape, skirt and socks each look like they’re made from different materials! Her thighs are also quite the highlight – you just have to see them for yourself!!

Switch arms to hold a taiyaki instead!

Her left shoulder and right wrist can both be switched out to alternate parts. Those who are concerned about the space she might take up with the spear can choose to display her like this instead.

She actually looks considerably different this way!

Just switching the position of her arm makes such a big difference!! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

It also lets you see more upper-body!

These arm parts give you a better look at the tight clothes she wears, as well as her lovely smooth shoulders and armpits! I also love the way you can make out the shape of her thighs underneath the skirt! (ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

They’re both so adorable! I really enjoy posing different sized figures of the same characters together like this!

With the release of Kyouko, all five of the girls are now available to complete this collection! I’m certain any fan would be happy to see them all displayed together like this!

I had to make a quick call to Kanegon to make some special goodies were left for me to play with…

Aha! Package located!!

The blog has been featuring a lot of figures from other figure companies recently, and I’m always even more nervous about playing with prototypes from other figure makers… plus I was told that this prototype was off for magazine photos after I was done with it, so I had to make sure I didn’t leave a scratch on her!! 😛

That said, it’s hard to get a good look at the figures if you can’t get to events, so I’ll be sure to get a lot of lovely photos for everyone!!

Gift’s:
1/8 Scale Homura Akemi!

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the calm and cool Puella Magi, Homura Akemi, sculpted by Satoshi Toda (Principality of Kagutsuchino). The unique sculpting work of Toda-san creates a figure that has an incredible presence!

This is how she looks from the back!

The crease in her tights just behind the knee needs a special mention! The detail really gives the whole figure an amazingly realistic effect!

A lovely sleek pose!

Her whole body from her upper arm down to her waist is simply gorgeous! I think this photo is actually the best of all the pictures I took of her, as the close up on her body really shows off the sensual appeal of the figure. Her clothes are also sculpted to look so soft and velvety!

A super sexy expression!!

Toda-san’s sculpting is well known for these more realistic expressions – just look at that charming little mouth! When I get hold of her for myself I think I’ll add a topcoat onto her lips to make them more shiny!  (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

Her pistol and shield!

Two items that really define Homuhomu are of course a part of this lovely figure! The shield is painted a tannish color that fits together perfectly with Toda-san’s sculpting style!

The pedestal is also very elaborate!

The base at the bottom is sculpted to look like the space-time continuum, while the actual part Homuhomu is standing on is made to look like a soul gem. Both make use of lovely clear parts and the pedestal as a whole is placed at an angle which really suits the posing.

The lacing on the skirt looks so fluffy!

I love it when dresses have a large fluffy lace, so this is perfect for me! Plus you get to see her lovely thighs alongside the fluffiness!

Just look at those lovely curves!

Her waist is just perfect…. I could look at it forever!

The figure gives off a somewhat more mature look compared to the normal Homuhomu, which also means it’s all the more sexy!

The sculpting of the hair is beautiful!!

The dynamic feeling the hair gives is fantastic, it seems to curve in at the ends so neatly! A perfect example of that third dimension that really gives a whole different appeal to anime characters!

The figure as a whole really is the perfect example of all Toda-san’s unique styles coming together to make a wonderful figure!

A prototype box spotted at Uchitarou’s desk!

Whenever I see a cardboard box with handles like this, I can only assume it is a prototype – they need to be carried around a lot for magazine photographs and publisher supervision.

When we took Ultimate Madoka overseas we had a similar box which was about 50% bigger than this one, and the security at the airport was really suspicious about it, they kept asking what was inside! 😛
But anyway, inside this box was this lovely figure!

Phat Company’s:
1/7th Scale Bayonetta!

From the action game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, ‘Bayonetta’, comes a 1/7th scale figure of Bayonetta, the main character herself! The figure is a faithful rendition of a CG illustration from the game which places Bayonetta in a dynamic pose wearing a number of accessories and with pistols in both hands and on both feet!

She really has an incredible presence!

The pose as well as the use of space are both very bold, but very suited to the sexy Bayonetta! Another aspect of her amazing presence is the 1/7th scale, which is not only big but also allows for amazingly detailed sculpting work – we’ll take a look at that in more detail in the next few photos.

She looks so focused!! (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

I don’t think I’d mind being hit by one of her torture attacks if I got to look at this lovely expression!! Just look how sexy her lips are as well!!

Don’t you feel like you have to spin her around and look at her from all possible angles? The pose and design really makes me want to! But no matter what angle you look from, she is still really impressive!

A close-up on her upper body!

She certainly has an impressive bust, but I think the think that looks best to me is the way the outfit looks so tight that it seems to press down on her body!! The rose pattern on her stomach area is also very intricate!

Her weapons of choice, Scarborough Fair!

Scarborough Fair refers to her four pistols, one in each and and one on each foot, and each of them is named after a herb. The one in this image is Thyme and if you look close you can see the lovely jewel in the middle! But that’s not the only details Phat! Company made sure that…

Each gun also has it’s own separate black witch engraving on it!

Can you see the tiny black writing! It’s so very intricate!! Each gun also has two barrels, the black writing is on the lower barrel!

Beautiful hair with incredible detail!!

Such beautiful, straight hair makes me want to try and put my fingers through it! Small sections on the accessories are even made from clear parts which gives a little extra something!

The outfit has outstanding textures!

Bayonetta is just filled with highlights, but the realistic looking leather is truly incredible! The tiny little witch engravings are also simply amazing!

Chains strung all around her body!

Yet another part of her that is unbelievably detailed! Take a look at this photo together with the 5th photo in this blog to get a more complete look at them. Plus even the long red accessory in her hair has the witch engravings on it! Incredible work from Phat Company!

The pedestal is shaped like a butterfly!

What a beautiful pedestal! This comes from the fact that whenever Bayonetta uses certain abilities, butterflies would appear around her! The bottom of the pedestal is a mirror, but this particular feature might not make it to the final release, it’s still being considered.

Now that the event season is drawing to an end, I guess it is time to bid farewell to these blue event shirts for awhile. Ever since I joined Good Smile, July and August have always been packed with events. 😛

From ‘Medaka Box’:
1/8th Scale Medaka Kurokami!

From the manga series serialized in Shounen Jump which was made into an anime this year, ‘Medaka Box’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the main character of the series, Medaka Kurokami! She is posed with a fan in her hand in a very imposing pose – a pose which comes from the cover of the first volume of the manga, and the figure is a really perfect rendition!

This is a Max Factory product! and a really stunning one at that!!

This is how she looks from the back!

The sculpting of the hair blowing to the side and the skirt ruffling in the wind makes for a lovely dynamic figure! The skirt is also at the perfect angle to just prevent you from seeing anything. 😛

Nothing to criticize here!

I’m sure I’ve said it before, but I really don’t think there should be anyone who doesn’t like a big bust!Oh, But don’t get me wrong – I love small ones just as much! All boobs should be loved equally! (`･ω･´)

So close, and yet so far…

It’s like being down at the subway when the wind suddenly picks up, just the other day there was a school girl in front of me at the station and it blew up just like this! So close and yet so far! ヽ(゜∀゜)ノ

She really is quite the beauty!

She has a very mature and sexy appeal to her body and expression! That slight smile is also very sexy! Having her look at me like that makes me feel like I’m going to melt… but I guess that’s why I love it so much.

Lovely long legs!

The legs themselves look so squishy and touchable, and I love the way they tighten up as the socks begin!! The curves from the thighs to the knees are also quite the treat… I can’t help but want to touch them!!

The hand holding the fan is so dignified!

Your eyes might be drawn to the right, but try focus on the details of the hand for a second! Those fingers are so thin and delicately sculpted – it makes her look so graceful and dignified! They also have a nice squishy feeling to the way they look, once again enticing you to touch them!!

The two armbands can be removed!
That allows you to recreate some of the situations that occurred in the original manga! A few small changes are always nice, they give you a little variety on how you choose to display her!

I also have to add that I love the way it looks as if she is looking down on me from this photo! ヽ(゜∀゜)ノ
