Hatsune Miku: Harvest Moon Ver. (Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku)

I only found out there were various different types of mooncakes after I started working at GSC. I always thought they were a delicious sweet treat, completely unaware that there are others that have a much more savory approach! I’ll stick to the sweet kinds though!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at the 1/8th scale…
Hatsune Miku: Harvest Moon Ver.!

From the “Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku” comes a 1/8th scale figure of Hatsune Miku wearing dressed up in outfit based on those seen at the Mid-Autumn Festival in China.

The translucent feeling from the original illustration by Chinese illustrator Rella has been captured as faithfully as possible, with a beautiful sculpt that captures her elegance. The paintwork is also a highlight of the figure, with the gentle colors of the design blending with the translucent parts to create an stunning appearance. Enjoy a moonlit light with the gentle smile of Harvest Moon Miku by your side!

“Won’t you admire the moon with me?”

This beautiful figure was on display at the recent CICF Expo event held in China, and now she is ready for preorders to open! The stunning version of Hatsune Miku based on an illustration by Rella has been transformed into a figure that captures the translucent, flowing feel of the illustration as faithfully as possible in figure form!!

The poster you can see above is based on the exact angle of the original illustration to show just how similar it is! I just had to show it off on the blog!! (∩・∀・)

But let’s move in with a closer look with the normal selection of photos!

While the figure is in a rather simple standing pose, there are still so many different things to see! First and foremost are they lovely twirls of her hair!!

If we take a look from the top you can get a good feel for the circular twirls that her hair makes as it dances downward!

The best thing about the twirls is that they are so gentle which match with the overall feel of the figure, while still providing a dynamic feeling to the figure!

The original illustration obviously was only ever in two dimensions, which made transforming this into three dimensions was not a simple task, but the artisans over in the production team have brought out a sculpt that looks beautiful no matter what angle you choose to look from! You really need to see the sculpt in person to really appreciate it!

Also note the details on the very top!

Can you see the little sprinkles of gold on her hair?

This silver dist is included to recreate the light of the moon as it shone on the top of her head on the original illustration! The ever so slight gold effect is to incorporate this golden light on the design of the figure as well!

The long ribbon-like part of her outfit is made from transparent parts to capture the original look, but also have the golden dust for that shiny reflection! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

All this and all I’ve really spoken about is her hair! There is still so much to enjoy about this figure! Just look at all the different layers of her outfit which have each been intricately detailed! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The frills at the very bottom of the dress are also individually sculpted in lovely detail! ((´д`●))三((●´д`))

The pearl paintwork together with the sculpt that makes it look like it really is a soft fabric… it has such a mysterious yet eye-catching appearance!

Even though the figure isn’t painted with very flashy paintwork, there is something about it that just makes her so very charming! She just draws you in!! I don’t know how else to explain it!

Depending on the angle you choose to look from, the expression can change between being rather cheerful looking to having a much more wistful look!

Be sure to add her to your collection and find the angle that you like best!

Anastasia: Story of Revolving Stars Ver. (THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at this scale figure from THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS…
Anastasia: Story of Revolving Stars Ver.!

From the popular idol production game “THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS” comes a 1/8th scale figure of Anastasia!

The figure’s outfit is based on the “Story of Revolving Stars” outfit for a inspiring yet somewhat wistful appearance as she stands on stage. The various chains and belts that decorate the outfit have been carefully detailed, creating an intricate figure filled with highlights – as if the illustration jumped up as a 3D figure for fans to enjoy! Be sure to add her to your collection!

A never-ending sea of stars that fills the sky

The idol with a Russian father and Japanese mother who mixes Russian into her sentences has been transformed into a beautiful 1/8th scale figure!! Her gorgeous blue, gold and white outfit has also been captured in lovely detail!

▲ A gentle expression with confidence in her eyes!

Her long eyelashes and turquoise eyes have been captured beautifully, and the comfortable looking pose with her hand extended create a lovely flow to her outfit that makes one think of the deep blue sea! The cute open mouth is also a rather unique and very cute point! (*´ω｀*)

Also note the slight blue tints to the sides of her hair which are included to completely recreate the original illustration in figure form!

▲A part of her hair accessory makes use of translucent parts!

The pearl paintwork one one part, a lovely gradient on the feathers as well as translucent parts which all comes together to look amazing!!

Each and every one of the fingers have been sculpted to look so very charming! The white gloves also have a slight blue shadow to them to give them more depth that makes the hand look so realistic! The unique accessory on her arm is also lovely and intricate!

Another thing I love is the area of her arm you can see underneath the sleeve! It gives you a nice feeling of depth!

This hand also has such lovely sculpted fingers! Also note the clasp that holds the gloves close as well as the tiny little hole that shows an extra little bit of skin!! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

▲ According to Anya the outfit is a Japanese designer’s take on a classic Russian ceremonial dress!

An outfit with an ancient and honorable origin, that really suits Anya’s character perfectly! The pose also has a very dynamic feeling which makes the outfit flow around her really beautifully!

▼The white skirt and azure lace are stunning! (/_☆)/

The skirt has a matte finish, while the socks below have a glossy look for a nice contrast! The top of the socks are also designed with belts and you can see they are squeezing her thighs quite tightly!

▼ Also note the detail of the ribbon on her waist!

▲ The inner area has a dark look like the night sky, while the edge is headed more to a sky blue! ☆

The end of the ribbon also has the same accessory that was at the end of the microphone! The flow of the ribbon also adds to the dynamic appearance I mentioned before!

The difference in gloss helps to differentiate the different textures on the figure while also giving them a very chic appearance while not being too obtrusive!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at Kahokawa’s…
Suzune Horikita: Clothes Changing ver.!

From “CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE” comes a 1/7th scale figure of the D-class’s Suzune Horikita posed in the middle of getting dressed. The figure is based on an illustration by original character designer Tomose Shunsaku, which was originally used for a bonus included with the original light novels.

She is posed with a surprised look on her face with a slight blush in her cheeks as she is caught in a rather sexy appearance with her shirt and blouse wide open in the middle of getting dressed. Her beautiful long black hair and her sexy underwear make use of a large number of intricate parts and her body line has been carefully sculpted to ensure that her stunning curves are captured exactly as they looked on the original illustration. Enjoy a more defenseless look to the usual Suzune by adding this figure to your collection!

A sexy scale figure of the mysterious beauty who tends to distance herself from her classmates, Suzune Horikita!

Tomose Shunsaku’s cute illustration has been transformed into figure with amazing detail that captures all the charm of the original!

The ever so slight gradient toward the tips of her long hair has been faithfully included on the figure’s design, and the curves of her thighs and bottom look lovely even from the back!! ★

Another thing that really gets me is this facial expression!

As the product description reads, she is posed with a surprised look on her face with a slight blush in her cheeks as she is caught in a rather sexy appearance… the expression alone tells a whole story!! The fact that her eyes are looking slightly to the side also just adds even more to it! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Plus if we look a little lower there is much more to enjoy than just the lovely facial expression! (/ω・＼)

Her amazing body that is normally covered up by her uniform has been beautifully revealed to stare at to your heart’s content!!

Just look at all the curves from her collar bone all the way down to her belly button! You can see they have all been very carefully thought out for the sculpt!

If we look even lower…

The skirt she has just removed is lying on the floor!!

The fact that this is here just adds to the “getting dressed” effect and sets the scene so nicely!! These parts are not connected to the base, so you can choose to display it without the skirt, or even have the skirt lying around in a different position!

Schwi (No Game No Life -Zero-)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the 1/7th scale figure from Phat! Company that is currently up for preorder…
Schwi!

From the anime movie “No Game No Life -Zero-” comes a 1/7th scale figure of the ex-machina heroine, Schwi! The figure is based on the key visual from the original novel that the movie was based on, and captures Schwi as faithfully as possible with careful use of colors, intricate sculpting and other creative touches.

The large gun she holds in her right hand as well as the artificial nerve cords around her hips have a detailed mechanical appearance which contrasts beautifully with the cute, soft-looking appearance of her body.

Similar to the previously released 1/7th scale figures of Shiro and Jibril, she also comes with chibi figures to display beside her – this time of Riku and Corone, allowing you to enjoy displaying Schwi together with her family!

“I want to do whatever you want to do, Riku.”

From the movie of No Game No Life, “No Game No Life -Zero-“ comes a 1/7th scale figure of the ex-machina girl Schwi! The sculpting and paintwork all over the figure from her cute appearance to the mechanical parts of her character have all been faithfully preserved, with the gradient of her hair also looking amazing! ☆

The figure is based on the key visual from the original light novel! Let’s take a closer look at some of the main highlights of the figure!

– Paintwork / Sculpt –

The first thing I think anyone will notice is the gradient of her hair! ♥

From yellow to green to blue to purple! Such a lovely mix of color!!The sculpt of the hair also has a very dynamic feeling as it flows around her, and the hair in front of her face also has a gentle wafting appearance that adds a gentle, floating feel to the figure! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The ex-machina parts of her design have a rigid, mechanical feeling to them that add a lovely contrast to the figure!♪

You can see the amount of detail put into the design, but it is even more impressive to see in person!! Be sure to take a nice close look if you add her to your collection! ヽ(*´∀｀)ノ

Look at the sharp, shiny and metallic appearance!

The difference between her soft skin, the ex-machina parts and her long flowing hair is such a treat for the eyes!

– Facial Expression –

Those cute wide eyes, little mouth and slight blush make for such an amazingly cute face!! Just looking her in the eyes makes me want to jump to her side and protect her however I can!! Taking a photo from a slightly higher angle allows you to match with her gaze nicely which makes for a very nice shot! ♡

– Chibi Figures –

As with the previous figures in Phat’s No Game No Life series, Schwi also comes with two little chibi figures to display beside her! This time around we have Riku and Corone!

▲ They may be small, but they are still nice and detailed!

The previously released Shiro and Jibril also came with little figures to display with the larger scale figure!

Izuminokami Kanesada!

From the popular browser and smartphone game “Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-” comes a 1/8th scale figure of Izuminokami Kanesada based on his standard standing illustration from the game! His calm and confident expression that can be seen through his beautiful long black hair, his beautiful red and gold kimono and all the other details of Izuminokami’s design have been faithfully preserved on the figure, creating an item filled with charm for fans to enjoy by their side! The boots peeking out at the bottom even have a shiny leather-like finish!

The way it has been sculpted also hows how nice and firm the boots are!

The area around his hips is also packed with details!

Next let’s take a closer look at his facial expression! The impression you get from the figure differs quite vastly depending on whether you match his gaze or instead have him looking to the side! You’ll need to play around with some angles until he fits best in your collection! ♪

Mei Irizaki: Swimsuit Ver. (High School Fleet)

I am a terrible swimmer and still depend on a swimming ring in order to swim safely. I’ve seen there are some rather photogenic swimming rings made to look like sea shells available recently… maybe I should invest in one!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at this item currently up for preorder…
Mei Irizaki: Swimsuit Ver.!★

From the popular anime series “High School Fleet” comes a 1/8th scale figure of the Harukaze’s Chief Torpedo Officer, Mei Irizaki! She is posed in an energetic original pose that suits her cheerful personality wearing the swimsuit seen in episode 7 of the anime series. The polka-dot section of her outfit can be removed to display her wearing just her bikini!

The shiny appearance of the inflatable torpedo has been captured so nicely, as well as the way it has been squished down where her arm is holding on to it!

Her cute ponytail has been sculpted in lovely detail even from the back, with each of the hair strands carefully sculpted and painted!

The polka-dot clothes she is wearing over her swimsuit has been sculpted with a nice dynamic feel that matches with the pose of her dashing forward!

Also note the big splash at her feet! ★

You can also see the cat-ear hood that makes up a part of her outfit! ♡

I love the way the polka-dot dress is slipping off her right shoulder!

But this item also comes with a special option!
You can change her outfit!

Or to be more precise, you can choose to remove the outer garment and display her just wearing her cute orange swimsuit! This gives you a much closer look at her lovely white skin and slender curves!

The figure has quite a different appearance without the polka-dot dress, and you can easily switch between them whenever you choose! Or simply just leave her in the version you prefer!! ((´д`●))三((●´д`))

Iowa Half-Damaged: Heavy Armament Ver. (Kantai Collection -KanColle-)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at Max Factory’s…
Iowa Half-Damaged: Heavy Armament Ver.!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a new addition to Good Smile Company and Max Factory’s “Wonderful Hobby Selection” series of top quality figures – the US Iowa-class battleship Iowa in her half-damaged version!

The damaged appearance of her ship parts such as the bent gun turrets, broken bow and bridge have all been carefully sculpted and painted to create a convincing damaged appearance! The torn tights showing off her soft looking skin, as well as her beautiful long blond hair and playful expression have been detailed to create a cute figure of Iowa for fans to enjoy by their side!

Perhaps one of the most impressive battleships ever built, the USA’s Iowa has been transformed into a half-damaged scale figure for fans to enjoy!

The “half-damaged” figure lives up to its name with various little details all over to convey the damage! (´□｀｡)

▲ The damage is not only sculpted, but also painted onto the design!

▲ Even the inside of parts that broken parts can
be seen when you look through the holes!♪

Of course the ship parts are only one side to this figure!! She also has a very beautiful body for fans to enjoy as well!! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ三ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

Her body looks so very soft and squeezable!! Just looking at her makes me reflexively want to reach and and touch her! (/ω＼)

The torn appearance of her mini-skirt and other damaged parts of her outfit have all been sculpted in lovely detail! Be sure to take a look from all sorts of angles once she joins your collection!

If you look up at her impressive bust from a lower angle you get a good feel for just how big and heavy the Iowa Battleship was!! ♥

Another area that I personally really like are her legs!!

Just look at the way the torn stockings are pressing against her skin!! It has been captured so beautifully! I want to run my finger along them and feel the bumps along the way!! (*´ｪ`*)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at BROCCOLI’s…
Kantai Collection -KanColle-: Shigure Kai-II!★

Kantai Collection -KanColle- is a simulation game where you take the role of an Admiral and build up your fleet of characters based on famous destroyers, cruisers, aircraft carriers and more! The series has also been made into an anime series and movie, and an arcade version of the game is also currently available in arcades!

From the game that started the battleship and anthropomorphic boom comes a 1/8th scale figure of the second Shiratsuyu-class destroyer, Shigure Kai-II, based on an official original illustration! The figure comes complete with an interchangeable crying face to fully complete the original illustration.

The single barreled cannon in her left hand has a steam of smoke coming out from it!

The smoke makes use of translucent parts creating a nice accent to the figure while also bringing out the atmosphere of the series! From the back you also get a nice contrast between her heavy ship parts and her soft looking skin!

Plus just look at the worried expression on her face!

The expression together with the way she is grasping at her chest shows she is rather uneasy! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Which is exactly why I am here to help protect her!!

The right side of her outfit has been damaged with a large tear showing off the bare skin of her left flank! (/・ω＼)

If you look close you can see the bumps on her skin from her rib cage in the opening, and if you look even closer you’ll even get a peek at her belly button!

* The above has the red ribbon part removed for a closer look, however this ribbon will not be removable on the final product.

The back of her knees are also sculpted beautifully!

The sculpt looks so very realistic even this close up!

The complexion and and ups and downs of the sculpt all come together to make for a lovely appearance!

Along with her lovely body, the sculpt of her ship parts and outfit are also very nicely done! Be sure to take a nice close look at all of the details once she joins your collection! ((´д`●))三((●´д`))

It is based on the compass from the game!

The areas she is standing on have cracks where the glass has broken!

Plus, the figure also comes with an alternate crying face part in order to fully recreate the original illustration that the figure was based on! ε=(｡・д・｡)

I always love getting a second face option with scale figures!

Simply select the expression you prefer, or even switch it out once every few days for a different feel! Be sure to add the damaged destroyer to your collection!

Racing Miku 2017 Ver. (Hatsune Miku GT Project)

There is only one week left of August! I’ve hardly had time to enjoy the summer and Autumn is already starting to sneak up!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Racing Miku 2017 Ver.!

A full scale figure of the official character of the Hatsune Miku GT Project “Racing Miku” in her 2017 version. The adorable fairy Miku illustrated by popular artist Tony has been transformed into a figure with careful attention to all of the details of her original design.

The figure makes use of multiple translucent parts in order to being out the see-through feel of the colors on the original illustration. The curves of her flexible, healthy looking body have all been captured to create a figure ready to charm both fans and newcomers alike! Be sure to add the fairy-sized Miku to your collection!

A Scale Figure of the Fairy Racing Miku! ♡

The official character of the 2017 Hatsune Miku GT Project has been transformed into a cute scale figure!

The Nendoroid and figma versions of Racing Miku 2017 Ver. are both only available to personal sponsors of the racing team, but the scale figure is available as a standard item and will be available at all the normal stores!

The soft coloring of her green outfit has been captured beautifully, and all those translucent frills look so adorable!! ♪

The different layers of frills make use of different colors!

The frills are not the only part of the figure that make use of translucent parts though! Her hair also gets more transparent toward the ends while also featuring a slight yellow-green gradient to faithfully capture the original illustration by Tony!

Plus the wing parts also of course have a see-through appearance! ★

The fact that there are so many parts of the figure with a transparent look gives the whole figure such a light and airy feeling that matches the fairy theme nicely! (´□｀｡)

Also take note of her lovely body!

She has a very slender build, but there is still something about the skin that makes her look so soft and touchable! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

If look quote close you can even make out the shape of her rib cage underneath her chest! Amazing sculptwork! Not to mention the see-through center which gives you a nice look at her belly button!

▲Also note the creases in the outfit due to the twist in her hips!

By the way! This figure is actually a full 1/1 scale figure!

The reason for this is that this year’s Racing Miku is a fairy, and fairies are not that big!! Here she is compared with an iPhone 6S!

Megumi Kato: Swimsuit Ver. (Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend)

GSC has just come out of summer holidays! Time to start bringing all sorts of new figures to the fans!! ٩( ‘ω’ )و

Starting off with today’s review, which is the 1/7th scale figure of…
Megumi Kato: Swimsuit Ver.!★

From the popular anime series Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend ♭ comes a 1/7th scale figure of the main heroine of the series, Megumi Kato wearing a swimsuit! The figure is the third in a series of figures based on original illustrations by Kurehito Misaki, each featuring the Saekano girls wearing their swimsuits.

Misaki’s delicate touch and unique coloring have been carefully preserved on the figure, while also capturing the soft appearance of Megumi’s body with intricate sculptwork and paintwork. The large towel she holds behind her has also been very carefully sculpted to preserve the towel-like texture on the figure. The towel can also be removed to give a better look at her back which has also been sculpted in lovely detail for fans to enjoy!

Includes Bonus: Original Illustration Postcard (Illustrated by: Kurehito Misaki)

The third Saekano swimsuit figure based on Kurehito Misaki’s illustrations is Megumi!

From the anime series “Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend ♭” comes a scale figure of the “boring” girlfriend who excels in blending into the background – Megumi Kato! ♥

She is posed holding a large beach towel featuring the “blessing software” logo with sunglasses on her head as she looks ahead with a gentle smile! The cute hair-style and the slight purple gradient of her hair have all been preserved in lovely detail on the figure!

If we take a look from the back we get a nice look at bumps caused by her shoulder and back bones, and if you look close you can also just make out the shape of her bottom through the towel!

As a side note, both the towel and sunglasses can be removed, so if you’d rather display her without the towel covering anything up that is an option! If you want to see photos of this you’ll have to check the product page which will be up on the Good Smile Company website tomorrow!

This product was one of the many Saekano figures on display at Wonder Festival 2017 (Summer)! We had a special didplay section for them which looked like this! (∩・∀・)∩

She was displayed together with the previously announced Utaha Kasumigaoka: Swimsuit Ver. and Eriri Spencer Sawamura: Swimsuit Ver.! ♪

Anyway, let’s get back to today’s main feature! ♪

While Utaha-senpai may have the most impressive body, and Eriri boasts a more slender build, Megumi instead has a lovely balance with beautiful curves all around!

The touchable appearance of her body has been captured so effectively on this figure that it’s almost hard to believe that she isn’t going to be soft to the touch!

▲ Just looking gives me the urge to touch!

From the side she is just as beautiful!!

The bumps and indents of her body…. and the curves of her sideboob!!

Look as long as you like from any angle you please with the figure!

The area around her stomach as well the areas near the ribbons of her swimsuit have all had a slight shadow placed in specific areas to create a realistic look that matches with the sculpt!

Also take a close look at her dainty fingers and toes… and the painted nails at the end of them! ε=(｡・д・｡)
