Haruna: Shopping Mode (Kantai Collection -KanColle-)

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Haruna: Shopping Mode!

From the popular browser game “Kantai Collection -KanColle-” comes a scale figure of the third Kongo-class battleship Haruna, dressed up in a more causal outfit to go out shopping!

The pose of the figure is based on the half-damaged version of her shopping illustration from the game, but has her clothes in the undamaged version and a lovely smile on her face, creating a cute figure of Haruna enjoying her outing to the shops! The details and textures of her outfit have been carefully sculpted to create an intricate figure for admirals around are sure to enjoy by their side!

“You are so kind to me, Admiral! I really appreciate it!”

A scale figure of the third Kongo-class battleship Haruna dressed up in a more causal outfit to go out shopping!! ♪

The flow of her hair and skirt and she skips forward has been captured so nicely on the figure! There is such a playful atmosphere about the figure!!

Let’s take a quick spin around the figure!

▲ The whole figure has a lovely dynamic feeling to it while also
keeping such an elegant appearance for Haruna!

The front of her hair makes use of semi-translucent part which gives the hair a light – but not too light – appearance!

The well-fitted jacket, soft-looking skirt and the tights that are stretched to show her skin peeking though have all been sculpted and painted to bring out the various textures so effectively!

The figure has an overall monotone color scheme and a rather simple outfit, but the attention to detail really brings it to life! ε-(o´ω｀o)

Plus… just look at this face!

She is just too adorable!!

Ahh!! I don’t know what else to say! She’s just so cute!!

Imagine going out on a shopping date and having this happiness aura beside you! Any admiral would be proud to stand by and protect this smile no matter what the cost!

Also note the bag she is carrying actually does have some shopping inside!

While her chest is partially hidden behind the shopping bag, if you peek through the holes or look from the side you can see the beautiful curves!

Take a close look from all sorts of angles once she joins your collection!

Kanade Tachibana: Haregi Ver. (Angel Beats!)

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the 1/8th scale…
Kanade Tachibana: Haregi Ver.!

From “Angel Beats!” comes a 1/8th scale figure of Kanade Tachibana wearing a traditional Japanese outfit known as a haregi! The figure was made with assistance of Na-Ga, the original character designer of the series, who drew an original illustration which the figure was based on.

The vivid red outfit is decorated with various embroidered flowers, while Kanade herself stands in a cute pose with a shy look on her face. Her large angel wings extending from her back as well as the long sleeve on the left make use of semi-translucent parts. Be sure to add the angelic Kanade to your collection!

Made with close supervision by the Na-Ga, the original character designer of Angel Beats, this figure is based on an original illustration that was drawn specially for the figure!

The huge angel wings on both sides have been sculpted with a heavenly appearance and with such incredible attention to detail!

▲The flow of her hair as it blows about is also lovely! (・∀・)!!

As I’m sure you could tell from the first photo, the details of her kimono are also simply stunning. The belt alone is absolutely beautiful, but the patterns on the lower part of the outfit are simply breathtaking! ヾ(o´∀｀o)ﾉ

Also note the pattern on the left which features light particles similar to the designs that were used in the series! Certain parts make use of translucent parts to really create a stunning appearance!

Plus just look at this adorable face!

She is such an angel!!

The somewhat embarrassed look and the slightly open mouth that she is trying to cover up with her hand! Those eyes that seem to stare right into your soul…!! You can’t help but want to jump to her side and protect her from the world!

The creases in her outfit as she grabs the long sleeve, as well as the gentle flow of the kimono towards her legs all capture the texture and flow of the fabric so beautifully! ★

“The Flash” Asuna (Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale)

I need a new umbrella. The nice big one I’ve been using for ages has finally passed away…（´・ω・`）.;:…（´・ω…:.;::..（´・;::: .:.;:

But anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at AQUAMARINE’s…
“The Flash” Asuna!★

From “Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale” comes a figure of “The Flash” Asuna! Her long chestnut hair and Knights of the Blood uniform have been sculpted fluttering around as she jumps forward with a beautiful trust of her rapier, Lambent Light. The figure has been sculpted by Satoshi Toda who is well known for sculpts with a dignified look.

The dynamic look of her hair and outfit as they flutter about combined with the intricately detailed accessories, armor and rapier combine together to capture Asuna in perfect harmony. The blade of Lambent Light is made with translucent parts and then painted over to capture the glowing effect when she used sword skills. Be sure to add the strong-willed sub-leader of the Knights of Blood to your collection!

From “Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale” comes a figure of the character known for her speedy rapier techniques- Asuna! She has been sculpted wearing her Knights of the Blood uniform!

The figure captures Asuna in the moment that she lunges with her rapier, with her beautiful long hair and outfit sculpted in beautiful detail as they trail behind her!

The flow of the hair looks particularly effective when you match the angle to her gaze!

The whole figure has such a powerful aura about it! It really captures the moment of her lunge in lovely detail! ヽ(*´∀｀)ノ

Let us also take note of her outfit! ♪

Not only does the figure feature a very dynamic sculpt, the details of her outfit and accessories are also so very intricate! The harder parts like her armor and the softer parts like the fabric parts of her outfit have had their textures separated very effectively through the paintwork! (・∀・)!!

The creases around her hips are also fantastic!

The way the outfit clings to her so tightly allows you to easily picture the curves of her body on the other side of her clothes!

In her hand she holds the rapier, “Lambient Light”! The blade has been carefully crafted to match the design in the series and even makes use of some semi-translucent parts to capture the glowing effect of the sword! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

Altair: Holopsicon & Meteora Österreich (Re:CREATORS)

It suddenly got all cold again! How am I supposed to know what to wear in the mornings? Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Altair: Holopsicon!

From the anime series “Re:CREATORS” comes a 1/8th scale figure of the “Military Uniform Princess” Altair! The figure has been sculpted in an original pose with Altair holding her iconic drum magazine machine gun and saber at the ready with close supervision by the writer and character designer of the series, Rei Hiroe. Her hair and outfit have been sculpted whirling around which gives the figure an impressive size for a 1/8th scale figure.

This “Holopsicon” edition of the figure also includes a ring of fourteen sabers that Altair can be placed inside. The ring can also be disconnected at certain points to place the sabers in various other possible patterns! The figure also capturing various different textures though careful paintwork! Be sure to add her to your collection and enjoy the powerful Altair by your side!

From the original anime series written in conjunction between “BLACK LAGOON” author Rei Hiroe and “Fate/Zero” author Ei Aoki, “Re:CREATORS” comes a 1/8th scale figure of the “Military Uniform Princess” Altair!

This edition of the figure also comes with 14 sabers each with their own stand allowing you to display her making use of the Holopsicon ability! (っ’ω’)っ)

The joint parts of the stand connect with a small Nendoroid joint, allowing for a very wide range of possibilities!

Moving onto the figure itself, the iconic drum magazine style machine gun, as well as the way she holds her weapons similar to a violin and bow, have both been beautifully captured on the figure!

Note the lovely dynamic appearance of her outfit and hair as they expand out from the power of her activating her ability! ♪

The gentle yet imposing flow of the hair as it expands outward captures that bad-ass feeling about Altair so effectively!

Although her feet are quite hard to get a good look at on the figure, the iconic design of her shoes has also been included on the figure!

The whole figure is filled with amazing details, but perhaps the part I most wish to draw attention to is her facial expression!!

The dynamic appearance of her hair and robes as they flutter with the power of the magic has been captured on the figure, and the jewelry and accessories of her outfit are also intricately detailed. The magic circle that the Type 01 LMAT is coming out from makes use of a translucent material for a more magical look.

Eriri Spencer Sawamura: Dakimakura Ver. (Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at KADOKAWA’s…
Eriri Spencer Sawamura: Dakimakura Ver.!

From “Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend” comes a 1/7th scale figure from KADOKAWA of Eriri Spencer Sawamura. The figure is based on the illustration by Kurehito Misaki that was originally used for a dakimakura hugging pillow.

Eriri is posed with her shirt opened up revealing her elegant curves. She has a slight blush on her cheeks allowing fans to enjoy her slightly embarrassed appearance as she lies in a rather revealing pose. All the details on the back that were never visible on the original illustration have also been faithfully included, so be sure to take a close look once she joins your collection!

A figure based on a hugging pillow illustration that was done by character designer Kurehito Misaki, originally included in the “Eriri Box”!

She doesn’t come with a stand since she is lying down, but in its place she comes with a lovely white cushion to display her on, which also really brings out the atmosphere of the figure!

The slight blush on her cheeks is lovely!! ☆

The blush makes looking into her eyes all the more of a rush! The fact that this pose is so different to her normal character is also what makes it such a lovely experience!

Personally I quite like this angle from the back! You get a lovely look at all the curves along her body!

She has a very slender build, but it still has just enough substance to it that leaves to looking soft to the touch! ♪

In particular, her thighs look so soft and touchable! Plus the creases on her half-removed skirt have been sculpted with so much care! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Lying down figures are fairy rare, but they have a special charm to them! The fact that you don’t see them very often adds an extra special feeling!

Plus, as is written in the release text… “all the details on the back that were never visible on the original illustration have also been faithfully included”! Definitely something to look forward to! ♪

Lancer/Altria Pendragon (Fate/Grand Order)

My third Kahotan blog! Takamii (@gsc_takamii) from GSC’s planning department here! Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Lancer/Altria Pendragon

From the popular smartphone game “Fate/Grand Order” comes an impressive 1/8th scale figure of the Lancer servant, Altria Pendragon, based on her appearance in her third ascension! She is posed riding her beloved steed Dun Stallion in a heroic and mature pose that captures her as if just before making use of her powerful Noble Phantasm.

The crimson cape that billows behind her and the deep blue outfit that shows off her impressive curves have all been sculpted in intricate detail, and the impressive armor on both the horse and Altria herself gleam with silver beauty. In her hand she holds the holy lance, Rhongomyniad, which makes use of translucent parts for a truly magnificent appearance. Be sure to add her to your side and experience the mighty Lancer and her trusty steed right by your side!

The holy lance is finally ready to have its power unleashed! The figure was first revealed back at FGOFes last year, and is finally ready for preorders to open!!

Such an overwhelming presence!! The figure has been sculpted based on her third ascension from the game!!

There are so many figures from the Fate series out there, but I can say with confidence that this is the top-class of quality in terms of Fate figures!!

Compared with the collectable figure you can see just how huge the figure is! Perhaps a comparison with an iPhone7 will be better…

▲ Dun Stallion is huge!!

It’s more than two times the size of an iPhone7! Not to mention how lovely and haughty she looks!

The figure is definitely more than just bi though, the amount of details of all the different parts of the figure, from the horse to the outfit to her amazing curves and facial expression… even the lance and the base are all so stunning!

The Holy Lance Rhongomyniad

The lance makes use of three different translucent parts to capture the beautiful swirling glow of her Noble Phantasm!!

Next up we have a closer look at the King’s beautiful face! She has the beauty of a goddess!! You can really see the difference in maturity compared to Saber/Altria Pendragon with the cool and composed look on her face! The details of the crown and the cross on her hair have also been beautifully preserved on the figure!

~~Your eyes may have wandered elsewhere on this photo though.~~

Let us move our gaze down to her hips, where you can see the contrast of textures between the heavy looking armor, the elegant fabric of her outfit and the little gaps showing off some bare skin!!

“You don’t know where to look? Why?”

The creases of the fabric areas and the sharp look of the armor is truly such a pleasure to look at close up! The details are exquisite!

Even from the back the figure is filled with highlights! The curves of her body are lovely and just look at the detail of the back of her hair – it is in fact a rather different style to that of the Saber version of Altria Pendragon.

Even from the back she has such a charismatic feeling to her! You can see why she is a King. The golden lines that adorn her outfit also add an extra level of elegance.

I know I’m repeating myself here, but once again note the different textures along her side: the skin under her arm, the metallic armor, the soft fabric and the lance. This is what I call a work of art. But now it’s time to move onto the second character that is a part of this figure…

Dun Stallion!

The details of the bit mouthpiece, the belts and the saddle are simply outstanding! Through the gaps in the horse armor you can also make out the muscular build of Dun Stallion as he rears confidently with Lancer on his back!

Another thing that really stood out to me when taking photos was that his expression really changes depending on the angle you choose to look from! He really is a beautiful stallion that looks like he comes right out of a famous painting in a museum.

Also take note of those adorable eyes!! A horse just as beautiful as his rider! On the final product, the Dun Stallion is planned to be held up with a special included stand to ensure that he can stand up securely!

Another point that I really love about the figure is the look of the fabric that hangs from the saddle – you can see it has a rather tough, thick looking appearance compared to the fabric of her outfit! Can’t you just imagine how this would feel to the touch?

Compare the fabric above to the flowing appearance this part of her outfit and you can really see the different in textures, all captured though the sculpt and paintwork!

I’m lost at what to wear at the moment! It keeps jumping from chilly weather to ridiculously hot weather! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at these two items currently up for preorder from KADOKAWA…

From the series that attracted fans from all around the world “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-” comes figures of both Emilia and Rem in rather different outfits compared to their normal looks! Let’s take a closer look at each of them!

Emilia: High School Teacher Ver.!

From “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-“, which has had both an OVA and movie version announced, comes a figure of the main heroine, Emilia! She has been sculpted dressed as a high school teacher wearing a white jacket and tight-fitting dress that originally featured on the cover illustration of the official light novel guide book.

Her stunning long hair, the teacher’s pointer she holds in her hand as well as the details and curves of her body that can be made out through her outfit have all been exquisitely sculpted for fans to enjoy! Be sure to add this version of Emilia to your collection!

Her lovely lightly-colored long hair that swishes about as she walks along has been captured beautifully, giving the figure an element of motion!

The figure is based on an illustration used during a 2017 Spring campaign, and features her walking with a confident stride and a lovely smile on her face.

Her rather short shirt blowing about in the wind, the sailor’s collar and her short hair have all been carefully sculpted for fans to enjoy by their side. Her school bag as well as a morning star are included as accessories. Be sure to add this refreshing version of Rem to your collection and display her beside the previously announced Emilia: High School Teacher Ver.!

Such a cheerful looking Rem! You can’t help but smile when you look at the lovely smile on her face!! (/ω＼)

Rem also has a sense of motion sculpted into the design, with the ribbon in her hair as well as the back of her outfit blowing about in the wind! Even though it is a rather simple standing pose, there is a lovely amount of detail included in the figure!
