Only three working days until WonFes?!

I keep telling myself “Relax. There is no time to panic”, but we’re getting closer and closer to the big day! I think the panic has begun to spread across GSC quite quickly…

Anyway, with that said I need to take a look at some more WonFes products before the big day! Let’s get started! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Today I’ll be taking a look at the two figma figures and Dekacchu!

figma Kaga

The calm and collected Kaga is joining the figma series! ♡

The Kanmusu that suits the Summer months so nicely! I really want to take her down to the beach with me! ♪

This is how the packaging looks!

My eyes go straight to that impressive ship deck and quiver!

The ship deck is sculpted and painted down to the smallest of details! You need to feel the intricate little bumps and dents for yourself!

The ship mast on her quiver is also beautifully made! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

You can even pose her in half-damaged form!

The dress area is made from a soft material allowing bent over poses like this to easily be made! It matches the expression so nicely!

I also really want to display her smiling together with figma Akagi!!

figma Levi: Cleaning ver.

He was already a Nendoroid, but now the cleaning heichou is a figma too! (｀・ω・´）

Just like the Nendoroid, he also comes with a special inner cardboard sheet to recreate the famous window-opening scene! ( -ﾉｪ-)

This is how the packaging looks! ♪

The cleaning tools look amazing… but I also have to wonder why there seem to be so many different hair parts! They are actually included for use on other AoT figmas – figma Mikasa Ackerman and figma Levi!

The special hair parts are great for creating dynamic combat poses, as if they were flying through the air on their Vertical Maneuvering Equipment! They can also be used for everyday scenes though!

Looks like the wind is coming up!

The next part I love about this figma is the cloth part!

As you can see, it’s even folded in half and ready to get some cleaning done! Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟﾉ)ﾉ

The fluffy appearance also comes out quite nicely!

“I shall… exterminate… the filth!”

Dekacchu KanColle: Aircraft Carrier Wo-Class

I decided to see how heavy she was… she is over a kilogram in weight!

As for some size comparisons… here she is with Sachiko Koshimizu from the Minicchu IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls 02 as well as my iPhone! ☆

As you can see she is a rather impressive size! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Her ‘hat’ can also be removed just like the Medicchu!

The packaging design is also filled with fun little treats, so be sure to take a close look! ♪

Booth Flags!

After sales end at the event, GSC will be running all sorts of little projects for fans to come by and enjoy!

#1: Draw a Nendoroid Expression!

After sales end, the sales area will be selling special blank Nendoroid expressions with the WHL4U logo printed on them for ¥100! You can draw your very own expression for your collection!

Here are some that the staff came up with as a test!

It’s amazing how much detail you can go into with just a marker when you know how to draw! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

The logo is printed on the top!

We will also have a selection of hair parts to test on your expression while drawing! ♫

Each expression is ¥100, with a maximum of two per person! Of course you are welcome to take your creations home!

#2: Nendoroids #1 – #400! Can We Get Them All?

In this section we will be trying to collect Nendoroid #1 – #400 from our fans! Bring one or more (as many as you like!) of your favorite Nendoroids and we will put it on display for all to enjoy. Everyone that brings a Nendoroid will receive a free blank Nendoroid face and more little goodies! Let’s see how many we can get on display before the end of the event! (All Nendoroids will of course be returned to their loving owners before the end of the event!)

This section will also be starting after sales have ended around 14:00. We’ll be waiting for your Nendoroid!

#3: Sculptor’s Advice and Question Corner

The poster for this section looks… so epic!! Everyone is wearing glasses! This corner will be taking questions and giving advice for hobbyists and serious sculptor’s alike! Come by and enjoy the talks – they will be in Japanese though! (｀・ω・´)

Anyway, today I’m gong to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Mashiro Mitsumine!

Mashiro-taaan! ♡

From Mikakunin de Shinkoukei or it’s English title ‘Engaged to the Unidentified’ comes an adorable Nendoroid of Mashiro Mitsumine! ♪

Standing up on her tippy toes!

This is how she looks from the back!

The large white ribbon has been faithfully included! The hair sticking out the back even has a joint for some extra dynamic poses! ♪

(・∀・) “Mashiro… she’s so cute!!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner… Chan-shuu-senpai!

(・∀・) “Today I’m going to be taking a look at three of my favorite points about Nendoroid Mashiro Mitsumine!”

– Point #1 –
Small Nendoroid Joints in her Shoulders!

(・∀・) “Mashiro makes use of her arms to show her expressions and reactions more than most, so we wanted to give her arms more ability to be moved around – so we added miniature Nendoroid joints to her shoulders!”

You can pose her super-long sleeves fluttering about so nicely! （*´▽｀*）

– Point 2 –

She can hold things even with baggy sleeves!

Tattatararararatattattararara~! ♪

(・∀・) “If you switch out her arm for the special hand for holding things then she can hold most Nendoroid sized items, such as the included spoon and curry!”

A smug expression to eat her mild curry! She’s so cute it hurts!

(・∀・) “You can even have her hold another one of the included optional parts – her beloved Mokele-mbembe!”

The UMA from the chocolate eggs in the Valentine’s episode!

No matter how many times she tried she never got the one she wanted… I felt so sorry for her and yet loved how adorable it was all at the same time!

That aside… I recognise this expression…!

(・∀・) “Yep! This leads me onto the third point…!”

– Point 3 –

Various parts to recreate the famous ending theme!

(・∀・) From a cute chibi ‘(＞Д＜)’ face, a table, chair and cup… there are a huge selection of items to grab the cute poses from the ending theme!

Ooooooooohhh!! （*´▽｀*）

Recreate the ending theme! ♪

(・∀・) “Plus as you have already seen from the sleeves, she also comes with her favorite food – curry rice! Just imagine the adorable lyrics playing through your mind while looking through these poses – the curry of course has a very mild coloring to it!”

There are an amazing number of parts with her! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ！

Even the lumpy look of the grains of rice are visible!

(・∀・) “While she can’t be seated on the seat completely, if you pose her with the edge of her skirt on the edge of the chair it creates a sitting perfect sitting appearance from the front – there is even a prop from the chair to hold her up for this!”

Looking at this expression reminds me of the scene where she spins around and around…

It even works on the Nendoroid!

(・∀・) “If you borrow expressions from other Nendoroids, you can even pose her all worried like this – as if surrounded by sticky stuff!”

Mashiro is well known for her interesting movements and expressions, and the Nendoroid really captures that fun side of her!

I really like the cardboard box scene from the ending… so I decided to make it!

So cute!!!! (*´Д`)♡

Only 5 working days until WonFes?!

I… I almost refuse to believe it!
Time has gone by too quickly! (｀・ω・´；)

Anyway, today I’ll be taking a sneak peek at some of the WonFes products! I decided to first have Ranran (@gsc_ranran) hold all the figures together for a photo!

They pile so high you can’t even see her face!

Today I’ll be taking a quick look at the two Nendoroid products! ヽ(・∀・)ﾉ

First up, the adorable Abyssal Carrier…
Nendoroid Aircraft Carrier Wo-Class

A cute little Wo-Class!!

The first Nendoroid from the enemy side of KanColle! ♪
The combination of cute and evil in chibi size is amazing!!

This is how the packaging looks!

The ‘hat’ part… if that’s what it is… has an incredible presence! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Wo-Class also comes with a slightly bigger than normal 8cm x 8cm base!

Plus not only does she come with the standard transparent base, but also a special blue base for posing her deep in the depths of the ocean!

A little speech bubble with it’s very own stand is included to pose beside her for a bit of a comical effect. It simply reads ‘Wo?’

But perhaps the most amazing thing about Wo-class is the fact that she has a light-up gimmick! The batteries are sneakily included in the giant head part – let me take her to a bit of a darker area to show you! (｀・ω・´)

Ooohhh!! (*´Д｀)=з

The faint glow is rather ominous, but very pretty! What’s more, she also can switch between three different colors! Along with green, you can also have her shine red or yellow! I’ll be showing the other colors off during the Kahotan Station broadcast tonight! っ(σ・∀・)σ

Of course, you can also choose to display her without the hat! ( -ﾉｪ-)

It’s a little hard to tell from the photos, but she has a lovely little belly button too! Easily one of my favorite areas on the figure! ( -ﾉｪ-)

I’ll be taking a more detailed look during the live broadcast tonight! The figure’s planner Kyojin will be joining me to speak about the smaller details!

Nendoroid Sayaka Miki: Uniform Ver. & Kyouko Sakura: Casual Ver. Set

Sayaka in her school uniform and Kyouko in her casual outfit – the famous Puella Magi combination in a set! Nendoroid Sayaka Miki and Nendoroid Kyouko Sakura are back as a special set, wearing their school uniform and casual clothes respectively. They each come with two expressions, and Sayaka comes with her school bag while Kyoko comes with an apple and snacks to munch on, allowing for a number of different scenes from the series! As a set they are also specially made to look great displayed with each other!

A double Nendoroid set! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Enjoy the company of both Sayaka-chan and Kyouko-chan with a single purchase! They both have a number of optional parts for all sorts of fun! ♡

The sitting parts are my absolute best!!

Kyouko: “You wan’na apple?”
Sayaka: “Sure, I’ll take one!”

Seeing the two of them together gets my imagination racing so quickly… they’re so cute together! (*´∀｀*)

There is something else I just had to try… here is Kyouko: School Uniform Ver.!

Yaaaa （*´ω｀*）aaay!

Kyouko borrowed Sayaka’s uniform for a bit, and the expression and hand parts somehow suited the scene really well too! Of course Kyouko looks great in her casual outfit too!

The two smiles are so different and each capture their respective personalities so nicely! Sayaka looks like an angel with her smile, while Kyouko has an air of confidence. The base is also larger than normal and rectangular, allowing the two of them to sit together on the same stand!

I’ll be taking a closer look this evening on the live broadcast! Together with the figure’s planner, Yassan!!

I’ve always felt a little attracted to the Kansai dialect, but even after 4 years of studying in Kansai I was never able to pick it up myself. (；ﾞﾟ’ωﾟ’）

Today we’ll be taking a look at a pure yet powerful character with a Kansai dialect…

Nendoroid Hayate Yagami: Unison Edition!

This means all three of the trio are finally together!!

What a beautiful sight! ♪

Be sure to display her together with Nendoroid Nanoha Takamachi : Exelion Mode Edition and Nendoroid Fate Testarossa: Blaze Form Edition!

This is how the packaging looks!

You can really see the size of her hat from this angle! Hayate is a fully-articulated Nendoroid, meaning she doesn’t come with all that many alternate hand and leg parts, but she can still take alls sorts of poses! The wings on her back can be attached and removed whenever you like! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The connector is a ball-joint allowing them to be posed at just the right angle for your poses!

Here is just one example of her wings!

She also comes with her human-form unison device: ‘Reinforce’!

She’s tiny, but her outfit has been faithfully recreated! Her head also has a ball joint for a little bit of posability!

Reinforce’s stand can also be used to instead hold the closed version of the Tome of the Night Sky!

Plus don’t forget that her hat is removable!

The back hair parts and hat have magnets inside them to ensure the hat stays on neatly! She also comes with a chanting expression! ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ

This expression together with the open Tome of the Night Sky to recreate this famous scene from the movie!

Plus just like Nanoha and Fate, she comes with a special Nendoroid stand featuring a magic circle! Her intelligent device ‘Schwertkreuz’ is also just as amazing as the rest of the figure!

The shouting expression combined with Schwertkreuz makes for some powerful combat scenes!

Serious combat poses like this are definitely a lot of fun, but let’s try out an expression from Nendoroid Mirai Suenaga for a more relaxed look!

Aww… she looks so gentle and happy!! ♡

Nendoroid Petite: Macross Heroines!

A collection of the idols of the Macross universe coming together for the 30th anniversary of the series!♥

Let’s take a closer look at each of them, starting with…
Lynn Minmay from ‘Macross: Do You Remember Love?’!

Aah… I can already hear ‘Do You Remember Love?’ playing through my head…!

“Oboeteimasu ka-♪ Me to me ga atta toki wo-♪

Her fluttery stage outfit looks so cute! (-ω-。`) ﾎﾟｯ

Let’s move onto number two:
Sharon Apple from ‘Macross Plus’!

The idol able to change her appearance and voice to suit any circumstances!

But with that said, I wonder why this appearance was chosen for the Nendoroid Petite? We’ll have to have a word with the lead planner, Otanaka-shi to find out!

*Planning Team Summon: Otanaka-shi*

(・∀・) “What made us choose the short haired look for Sharon?
Because that’s the look I think looks best!”

It would seem it was decided by Otanaka-shi’s personal preference!

(・∀・) “I’ve been a huge fan of Macross well before I started planning these figures!”

I suppose we’ll have to accept that Otanaka-shi knows best! I’m sure he has grown most wise over the years! ♪

Onto character number three:
Mylene Jenius from ‘Macross Seven’!

A rather different feel from the previous two, here we have the lovely rock songstress! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

She’s also rather sexy for a 14-15 year old!!

The forth character is:
Sara Nome from ‘Macross Zero’!

Today is the Koshien stadium baseball finals, so I decided to have some baseball mascots help out with the blog today! ♥

The Nendoroid I’m going to be introducing to everyone today also relates to baseball! (｀・ω・´)ｼｬｷｰﾝ

Nendoroid Rin Natsume! ♪

She was shipped out from GSC today and should be in stores shortly! One of the members of the Little Busters who enjoy their youth to the fullest – from being heroes of justice to an amateur baseball team! I remember watching the series and wishing that my days in school could have been half as exciting as theirs… (ﾉ_-｡)

Anyway, let’s take a look at some of her… hmm?

It seems Buffalo Bell has spotted someone else! ☆

It’s Nendoroid Kudryavka Noumi: Summer Uniform Ver.!!

I loved this Nendoroid as it included one of her doggies, Strelka!

But Rin also comes with some cute animals to display together with her!!

Including the lovely Dorj! ♥

He is just as big and cute as he was in the series!! I’m sure you can tell just how big he is by comparing him with the figma! ε=(｡・д・｡)

(・∀・) “Dorj isn’t the only one!”

We have a visitor! Shuu-chan from the planning team!!

(・∀・) “The cats that Rin takes care of are an important part of her character so we had to include at least two! Plus they’re super cute!”

(・∀・) “We couldn’t include then all, but she does also come with Lennon, who can even be posed in fun ways like this!”

Speaking of cats… Rin’s cat ears were also super cute! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

(・∀・) “Yep! Plus her ears make use a new design thought up by Nishibu-kun!!

Oh? Then we better see if we can get Nishibu-san to join us!

(　・∀・) “At first we were just going to make two separate hair parts for the cat ears…”

(・∀・) “But there were already so many big parts like Dorj! I’m sure it would have been too much!”

(　・∀・) “Which is why we needed to come up with something like this!”

This is actually really simple to use! The cat ear parts connect neatly into the front hair parts and can be replaced with the earless version just as easily! ♪

(・∀・) “So the ear parts have been shrunk down to their own special parts!”

(　・∀・) “It took awhile to insure that the parts connected neatly and easily, but it all worked out well!”

Which expression do you guys like best? The cute embarrassed expression?

(　・∀・) “Haha… me too.”

This hissing expression probably suits her best with the cat ears… but it really doesn’t matter! All of her expressions are so cute!!!

Hello everyone!

How long has it been since school uniforms were considered cosplay? The other day I was at a train station and I saw a sign near the escalator that said “Take care if you’re wearing a skirt”. But I don’t think the main reason for that is having people worry about seeing under their skirt, but instead to make girls think that maybe they should have their skirts a bit longer!

When I was in highschool I admit I had a fairly short skirt, but I think skirt length is more than just a single thing, and more about finding the right ratio between sock length, how much leg is showing and skirt length!

But today I want to point out something even more important about skirts! That’s how to sit with them! You can’t just sit straight down, you need to take both hands like do this!

If you just sit straight down with uniform skirts then the pleats will all get messed up! But this way you can keep everything neat and straight! Whenever you ride in a car you also need to make sure to do this else you can expect the local old lady to let you know (in a loud voice) that your panties are showing…

Along with that I’ve also been told that I’ve left my lights on by her at least seven times… I’m terrible at remembering things like that. How did this end up as a talk about lights on cars….

Nendroid Petite: Photo Kano!

Uniforms, swimsuits or at the festival…

The girls who looked good in all sorts of outfits and are now here to join the Nendoroid Petite series!

They’re all posed in sitting poses for a bit of a change!

Number 1: Haruka Niimi!

The main characters childhood friend popular all over the school! Her elegant but still sexy body is in a twisted pose that looks lovely!

Number 2: Aki Muroto!

“Perfect time for a photo!” <●><●>　(I can’t lose to Maeda-kun’s photos!)

You can now hold this perfect student council president in your very own hands! Holding her glasses with a slight blush on her face… it’s so cute!! Glasses really are they ultimate moe item!

Number 3: Mai Sakura!

The angel of gymnastics is sitting on my desk- (ﾟ∀ﾟ)!!!

She’s one of the younger characters who is known for her swimsuit and leotard poses! I think of all the poses in the set this one is my favorite! From the back you can peek into her skirt so easily… but you’ll have to wait till she’s released to see that! 😛

Number 4: Hikari Sanehara!

The cute and cool character always making sarcastic comments! This Nendo captures her embarrassed smile which is quite a rare sight and the pose also shows off her other assets rather well…! I also love the way she’s nervously gripping onto her skirt!

(・∀・) “I can’t say it in too loud a voice, but some of the characters have amazing detail under those skirts!”

Ooh! Today I didn’t even need to summon anyone, he has arrived on his own accord! Oda-P!

But what do you mean… detail under the skirts…?

Number 5: Nonoka Masaki!

This reminds me of that scene from on the rooftop with the setting sun… Happy poses like this one really tug on my heart! The way she is just managing to hide her panties from this angle is also such a tease!

Number 6: Rina Yunoki!

The school idol! (*´Д｀)=з Such lovely long hair!! She is also the only character that has knee high socks to leave you with some lovely thighs to enjoy!

Number 7: Tomoe Misumi!

I’m a big fan of shy girls! (」・ω・)」ｶﾓｰﾝ

Such an innocent and cute pose that suits her great! But sitting like that will mess up the pleats on your skirt!!

All that’s left is the secret character!

Nendoroid Makoto Naegi!!

It’s been a quite awhile since his debut on Twitter now!!

I know many of you can’t wait for preorders to open up! (Like me!)

This is how he looks from the back!

The pattern on his hoodie has been faithfully painted on in Nendoroid size!

My personal favorite part of this Nendoroid is his surprised expression!

He really looks troubled, doesn’t he… this opens up so many possible poses with other characters! Let’s take this opportunity to pose him with a rather famous someone…!(・ω<；)★

Naegi-kun is quivering with fear as Mikudayo slowly encroaches on him…! Let’s see if we can get the planner behind this figure to tell us the highlights of this Nendo!

The event will feature the original setting images and illustration as well as 1/1 scale sculpt of the School Trial Witness Stands and Monokuma Chair!! ★

The Monokuma chair is of course exclusively for Monokuma, however the Witness Stands can be used freely for photos!

Seiya-shi from from MD team is taking up the famous pose! The stands really look just like the series! ☆

Mikatan’s off on a business trip to China…

So once again I, Shuutarou Hirase from the planning team, will be taking over the blog!

The last time I was on the blog, I reviewed Nendoroid Kurisu & Mayuri : Cheerful Ver. It’s been quite awhile since then!

But what will I be taking a look at today…?

Two prototype cases next to construction machinery catalogs!

This must be one huge figure!! Let’s take a look!!

From Nisemonogatari:
Karen Araragi!

It’s the bigger of the twin sisters!!

This lovely figure of Karen-chan debuted at the previous 2012 Summer WonFes, but now she’s fully painted!

The road roller adds an incredible presence to the figure, but first I’m going to take a closer look at Karen-chan herself!

“I’m not playing around! I’m a hero of justice!”

The expression suits Karen-chan’s active personality nicely – the confidence in her eyes would put most men to shame! The teeth you can just see at the top of her mouth are also a very cute feature!

Her side ponytail blowing in the wind!

The unique kinks and twists in her hair have also been faithfully preserved in the figure! The way her hair is blowing about adds a really dynamic feeling to the figure!

She also has the egg-shaped hairpin that matches with her sister, Tsukihi-chan’s hairpin! The hair sticking up at the front (which has always been passed down in the Araragi family) also looks great on the figure!

Another great part of the figure…

Are the folded arms! (´ω｀＊)

Just look at the little gap it leaves around the nape of the neck! 😛

This figure is great at giving subtle glimpses like this!!

A beautiful S-shaped body-line from her back to her hips!

One of the most amazing things about this Karen-chan, is that even though she is wearing lots of clothes, you can still make out her body line clearly!

Even though the ends of the clothes are rather baggy, there are contrasting areas that are very tight which keep the shape of the body very clear!

More subtle glimpses!

Karen-chan is always exercising, and this little section gives us a teasing look at her shapely stomach! You can even see her belly button in the little gap between her tank top and stomach, it must have been very hard to sculpt that… it’s also very hard to photograph, but it’s there!!

Once you’ve picked her up for yourself, you can take a look for yourself! ^^

The hip area looks fantastic!!

As I said earlier, even though she is wearing fairly baggy clothes, you can still make out her body so nicely! It’s all thanks to the amazing sculptors that we can enjoy Karen like this!!

Karen’s beautiful long legs!

On New Year’s Eve last year Nekomonogatari aired, where we found out that each morning Karen jogs a full 42.195km marathon with ease! These legs are truly amazing for more than one reason!

You can also see her socks are clinging tightly to her legs, depressing the skin – which just goes to show how soft a girl’s legs are! （´ω｀＊）

Even more subtle glimpses!

The pants and her leg are made as separate parts in the sculpting process, so you can see her fit, shapely legs all the day down into the baggy shorts!

Anyway, now that we’ve taken a good look at Karen… we’ll move onto…

The Road Roller!

The figure is based on the cover illustration of the 1st volume of the Blu-ray & DVD: “Karen Bee: Part 1” included this impressive “road roller” which has made its way into the figure as Karen’s pedestal!

Definitely one of the most unique figure stands ever!

It has a really heavy look to it!

The indicators and headlights are both made from clear parts, and the detail put into the rest of the machine is incredible – from the hooks to hold up wires and other things to the bolts scattered throughout the design!

All the parts where two pieces of the roller connect together also have their edges painted a slightly darker color. It looks just like a real piece of heavy machinery!

The road roller has clearly been hard at work!

You can see by all the scratches and dents along the roller that it has been used on countless occasions. The step on the front is most likely a safety device, and even that has been sculpted so intricately!

I’ve shown the road roller all by itself here, but note that it’s still undecided how Karen will be joined up to the roller, so you may not be able to separate them completely like this in the final release. While we have them apart though…

Here we have Karen-chan’s back without the roller:

Ooh! She looks just like a super hero from this angle!!

The shape her body forms really is lovely! Just look at how her hips swing into it! The jersey blowing about has quite a different feeling when you look at it from the back – it gives the whole figure such a dynamic feeling, as if the wind really were blowing across her!

The reverse side of the roller is flat, for ease of display!

It was a a little too much to include an entire road roller, but the figure does include everything you could see on the original illustration. By making the back flat like this, you can easily put her on display up against a wall.

The road roller stand is easily one of the most stable pedestals ever, but if you put it up against a wall it’s even safer! The flat end also saves some space seen there are no extra pieces sticking out at the back!
