Racing Miku: 2015 Ver.

I can already feel my hay-fever starting to act up… perhaps because this Winter has been rather warm? Or maybe it’s just a cold…?

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Racing Miku: 2015 Ver.!♥︎

The 2015 design of Racing Miku, the official character of the Hatsune Miku GT Project, is being made into a 1/8th scale figure!

The figure’s design is based on Taiki’s illustration of Racing Miku as a ‘Princess Knight’, and has faithfully preserved all the details of the original illustration. The intricate outfit and dynamic pose all come together to create a cheerful Racing Miku that is sure to add new charm to any fan’s collection!

The songstress of the racing circuit!♡

The scale figure of last year’s Racing Miku which went up for preorder just at the end of last month! Her adorable smile captures such a lovely moment! The fluttering of the flag and her twin-tails also add a nice dynamic effect to the figure, and the cute outfit has also been sculpted in lovely detail!! ♪

I managed to grab the painted prototype for a quick review!

This is how she looks from the back!

Take a look at the translucent appearance of her twintails!

They are beautifully painted to give a nice gradient that slowly becomes more translucent toward to bottom! They also have a nice volume to them that, together with the flag, give the figure a rather impressive size!!

She is posed standing with one foot up in the air for a rather simple pose, but the dynamic elements of the figure make it all the more eye-catching! ♪

The stand features a stylish design based on Miku’s hair color and standard hair accessories!

The pink is also used in some other areas! 〜(*´Д｀)=з

Take a close look at her lovely thighs!

I’m sure you can see the pink area!

The curves from her bottom down along the thighs is such a treat for the eyes!

By the way… Miku-san is wearing a tutu with a leopard, so you’re not seeing panties!! These photos are not showing too much!! Really!! (*ﾟｰﾟ*)

△ You get a really nice feel for the fluttering of the flag from this angle!

Anyway, the 2015 Racing Miku’s design was based on a ‘Princess Knight’! You can see the ‘Princess’ part in her expression, the frills on her outfit and of course the tiara…

If you’re looking for the ‘Knight’ part…

The gauntlets and various other parts of her outfit are modelled off knightly armor! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The golden lining also gives a very noble aspect to the design which fits both the princess and knight sides of the design! The little neck-tie accessory is included on the design as a little homage to the original Miku design!

Isuzu Sento

Today’s main feature…!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at Max Factory’s…

Isuzu Sento!☆

From ‘Amagi Brilliant Park’ comes a figure of Isuzu Sento dressed up in her ‘Female Pirate Isuzuruha’ outfit from episode 7 of the anime! She has been sculpted looking to the side with a bit of an embarrassed look on her face as she holds the traitorous Tiramy beneath her foot.

The rather sexy bikini that had Seiya quite embarrassed as well as her long red coat bring out Isuzu’s beautiful figure for fans to enjoy. The eye-patch and pirate hat are both removable allowing for slightly different posing options.

Isuzuruha will show no mercy to those who refuse to listen!

The beautiful young girl dressed up in a sexy pirate outfit! A rather large 1/7th scale figure of Isuzu Sento that stands 245mm in height!! ♥︎

The rather showy pirate outfit together with that blushing expression makes for such a lovely combination!! ( ･ㅂ･)و ̑̑

The expression gives her an embarrassed, ladylike appearance while in contrast her brazen pose stepping down on Tiramy gives her a more confident, pirate-like pose!

△ The contrast between the pose and her expression is great! ♪

Although, the first place most eyes seem to wander is definitely…

△ The impressive bosom is one thing, but the bumps and
twists of her stomach are also amazing! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The way her body is sculpted really makes it look like it would feels like soft, touchable skin if you were to put your fingers on her! Once she joins your collection be sure to run your fingers along those perfect curves!!

However, together with the lovely Isuzu herself, the details of her outfit and also the accessories also really shines!! ☆

The Magical Country of Mapleland’s personal guards weapon of choice…

The magical musket ‘Steinberger’!

Not only does the sculpt and paintwork actually make the musket look heavy, but the intricate flower designs and golden paint also give it a really elegant finish! ⌯¤̴̶̷̀ω¤̴̶̷́)✧

Plus! The pirate hat and eye-patch can also be removed for a rather different look! (Still in development, but the eye-patch removal might end up as an entirely separate head!)

Underneath the eye-patch is a furled eyebrow!

Her sticking up ‘ahoge’ hair part is also included separately to attach when the hat is removed!

The overall feeling is quite different when like this! (●´ω｀●)

△ The twisted hips and slightly loose stomach look so lovely! <○><○>

Also note the ribbons that tie up the ends of her hair! (σ・∀・)σ

△ Each of the tufts on her shoulder epaulette are sculpted beautifully!

And finally…

Also note the second character in the figure…
being stepped on with sexy over the knee boots!

From episode seven of the anime series, the traitorous Tiramy!

The fluffy appearance and cute rounded arms and legs are so adorable! Plus also take note of all the little creases on Isuzu’s boots!!

Racing Miku 2015 Ver. ☆

The 2015 design of Racing Miku, the official character of the Hatsune Miku GT Project, is being made into a 1/8th scale figure!

Oooooooohhh!! (●´ω｀●)

The knightly princess and songstress of the racing circuit has been sculpted as a 1/8th scale figure! Racing Miku in her 2015 outfit! ♥︎

Those beautiful, long twintails give the figure a lovely dynamic feeling!

△ The also make use of semi-transparent parts giving a kind of glowing effect!

The pose she is in really shows off her thighs along with a little peek at her bottom! Her healthy looking body really cute, but also has a certain level of sexy to it as well! But perhaps my favourite thing about the figure is this lovely, youthful smile on her face!

△ Not only is her back revealed, the side also has a netted pattern! ★

The unique design of her gloves that look more like gauntlets has been faithfully added to the figure, and the frilly tutu has been captured so nicely!

It’s one of those figures that really captures the difference in textures between different parts of the figure effectively! ε=(｡・д・｡)

△ The creases on the gloves and boots let you imagine the
soft feeling of the skin on the other side! ( ✧Д✧) ｶｯ!!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at FREEing’s…

Laevateinn!

From the popular application game ‘Phantom of the Kill’ comes a figure of the Kill Princess ‘Laevateinn’! The figure is based on the beautiful illustration from the game and brings out all of her charm for fans to enjoy right by their side. The game has recently passed its one year mark, and now fans can add the charming Kill Princess to their figure collections as well!

“Leave… or be erased.”

From the smartphone RPG based around strategy and drama ‘Phantom of the Kill’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the character voted as most popular, Laevateinn!

Her characteristic long winding hair has been faithfully sculpted based on the official illustration from the game! The rather simple standing pose really comes to life thanks to the dynamic feel of the hair and stance! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

△ The current stand is provisional! (・∀・)

The outfit is so very original and such a pleasure to look at! With the zipped up collar and boldly open sleeves! Her mouth and hands are all hidden away, but on the other hand…

Just look at that side boob!!

Not to mention the lovely curve of her back which is an absolute pleasure! I also want to point out the rather tight pants that contrast with her loose top… and just look at her cute little bottom!! (´□｀｡)

△ The creases in the material really help you picture what’s behind! (/ω＼)

Her lovely long legs are all wrapped up in belts – rather tight belts at that, as you can see the pressure of them on the skin!! ☆

The sharp, dark weapon she holds also really contrasts with her soft, pale skin beautifully! っ(σ・∀・)σ

I can just imagine her listless voice playing through my head while I was taking these photos! Definitely a figure that can be enjoyed from all sorts of different angles, from both fans of the character and just figure fans! ★

Today I’m going to take a look at a product currently up for preorder…

Anastasia: LOVE LAIKA Ver.!

From the anime series ‘THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Anastasia in her ‘LOVE LAIKA’ outfit! The tranquil mood of the figure as well as the careful paintwork that brings out the various textures of her outfit create a figure filled with highlights for fans to enjoy.

A figure of Minami Nitta is also currently in production, so look forward to displaying the two of them together!

“Um… please call me Anya.”

A scale figure of the beautiful half-Japanese half-Russian idol Anastasia dressed up in her ‘LOVE LAIKA’ stage outfit! Her beautiful pale skin, light hair and blue eyes make her look like a beauty from some far away snow country!

Her drifting gaze adds an even more mysterious charm to her that brings the figure together so well!

△ Even the gloss on her lips has been included! (*´Д｀)=з

Speaking of mysterious, the mystique of her outfit is simply amazing! Just look at this paintwork!

The pearl paint gives an almost glowing effect to the outfit which changes depending on the angle you look at it, not to mention the lovely long drape that trails behind her giving her an even more beautiful appearance! ٩(๑òωó๑)۶

△ The fabric looks so silky and her skin so smooth…

Other areas such as the fluffy looking hat and collar, the translucent necklace and even the other accessories on the outfit have all been intricately sculpted!

The rather unique lying pose causes a lot of parts of the figure to be hidden by different angles, but the finer details even in areas that are normally not visible have all been included!

For example, the white pearl accessories that line the inside of her dress have all been sculpted and painted onto the design!! ( ✧Д✧) ｶｯ!!

Dress-up Chibi Menma & Shiro: Swimsuit style

I sometimes buy splitting cheese snacks and instead of splitting them I eat them all connected together. The luxurious way!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at some of the items currently up for preorder from AQUAMARINE! First up…

From the popular anime series, ‘Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day’ comes a figure of Meiko Honma, also known as Menma! The figure is based on a special illustration that features the young Menma dressed-up in a gorgeous dress.

Her skirt makes use of a clear material, and each of the little ribbons in her hair as well as all the little flowers patterns on her dress have all been carefully included to create a figure filled with highlights no matter where you look. In her hands he holds ‘The Flower’ while she skips around with a cute smile on her face. Enjoy the adorable Menma right by your side!

Menma dressed up in a rather mature looking one-piece dress! She is in a cute pose balanced up on a single leg with her skirt, ribbons and hair all blowing about in the wind – all intricately sculpted for fans to enjoy! ♥︎

The skirt makes use of a translucent effect to recreate the two layers of the dress, which really give the outfit a lovely, unique appearance! ♪

Shiro: Swimsuit style!

From ‘No Game No Life’ comes a figure of the young princess of Imanity – Shiro wearing her swimsuit! On her head she wears an intricately detailed crown with her beautiful multicolored hair flowing out around to the sides. Together with her cute swimsuit, she is wearing a hoodie that is slowing slipping off her shoulders.

Her intricate hands and feet have been preserved with the utmost detail, and the somewhat wistful look in her eyes and sullen expression have been carefully included to capture her personality in the figure. The various different colors and gradients across the figure all come together to create an unbelievably cute Shiro for fans to enjoy in their collection!

“…how do I… look?”

The red ribbon on her white bikini really catches the eye! She looks like she is trying to hide her embarrassment, but her mysterious charm has been beautifully sculpted in this figure for all to notice! (/ω＼)

She covers up quite a lot of skin with the hoodie and her thigh high socks, but her rather revealing swimsuit still shows off her front rather nicely!

1/7th Scale Felia

Today’s main feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the 1/7th scale…

Felia!★

From the popular anime series ‘Comet Lucifer’ comes a 1/7th scale figure of the mysterious young girl, Felia! The figure is based on the teaser visual shown when the anime was first announced, and shows Felia at the moment her clothes are being materialized.

Her feathery clothes make use of a semi-transparent material toward the ends for a beautiful feeling of translucence, while the wings have been sculpted one-by-one down to the finest of details. The included stand shows water flowing around her with mysterious power, bringing out the atmosphere of the series with even more highlights for fans to enjoy.

“The adventure begins now. A journey with you, friends and fate.”

From the original anime series ‘Comet Lucifer’ comes a beautiful figure of the character that Sougo meets deep underground Garden Indigo – Felia!

The mysterious feeling from the teaser illustration by Yuichi Takahashi has been carefully preserved in the figure that captures the vibrant young Felia’s charm!

△ The back gives a better look at the density of her wings!

As you can tell from the photo above, each of the wings has been individually sculpted then layered on each other! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

This is the Felia before her power came flowing out, meaning it is still the younger looking Felia!

△ Her healthy looking belly button sticks out nicely! ★

The figure really captures the curves and smooth skin of a growing girl! (´□｀｡）

The gaps between the feathers that show off her bare skin really grab your attention, and remind you of Felia back at the start of the series!

You can even enjoy the little gaps from the back of the figure! ♡

△The back of the figure has a lot more volume than you’d imagine!

Her worried expression with furrowed eyebrows keeps that youthful appearance but also has a bit of a sorrow that adds a mature aspect to the figure.

Quite different to the innocent young image we have of Felia! It captures her character as the ‘mysterious young girl’ perfectly! ( ･ㅂ･)و ｸﾞｯ !

Also note the details that have been put into the power swelling around her feet as a stand! ★

The base is semi-transparent, creating a translucent look at just adds to the mysterious pose!

Plus this detailed sculpt is all hand sculpted! Apparently sculpting organic looking things is easier to do by hand!! The lower areas also have a light blue paint effect which contrasts against the completely clear areas to create a really beautiful effect! ♪

△ Each of her fingers and toes also look lovely!

Another point that I really want to point out is the color of her hair! The slight blue tint that slowly fades to purple makes it look like some kind of delicious candy!

△ A gradual gradient from the top all the way down to the tips.

It’s a product that captures both the character and the atmosphere of the series! Be sure to add the mysterious young girl to your collection!

Nadeko Sengoku: Medusa Ver.

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nadeko Sengoku: Medusa Ver.!♥︎

From the anime ‘Bakemonogatari Series Second Season’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Nadeko Sengoku in her medusa version. The figure is based on the cover illustration of the ‘Otorimonogatari Volume 2 / Nadeko Medusa (Part 2)’ Blu-ray & DVD.

The pose shows Nadeko as the Snake Goddess oddity with a cute smile together with a hint of madness on her face. Her white hair made up of snakes has been carefully sculpted to preserve the subtle movements, creating a dynamic scene with mysterious charm. The donation box, bottles of sake and money are all included as a part of the figure to bring out the original illustration as faithfully as possible for fans to enjoy!

“Welcome. Let me show you some love, Koyomi-oniichan.”

The polite and quiet Nanahyakuichi Public Middle School student has been transformed into a figure in her Snake Goddess Oddity form – recreating the rather memorable Blu-ray cover illustration!!

Her thin one-piece dress has been beautifully sculpted and even has the loose strap on her shoulder! The sitting pose also creates various creases along the fabric which are all faithfully sculpted onto the figure – even from the back!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

△ You can really make out the curves of her body!

The hair that has transformed into snakes has also been intricately sculpted down to the tips! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Both the dress and the hair are blowing sideways in the wind, but the snake hair has another element of movement to it as well… it’s like each and every one of the strands is moving around on its own!! I swear the longer you look at the tips of the hair the more it looks like there are actually snake faces on them!! ((＞д＜))

Although the one-piece dress has a rather childish design, the shoulder strap slipping off her shoulder and the fact that she has her knees held up so high give her a little bit of a mature charm as well! ☆

The middle of the dress that is tied up tight has the area filled with various creases and a darker shade that brings out the feeling of the fabric really effectively! ( ✧Д✧)!!

This is also GSC’s 10th figure from the Monogatari series of scale figures!! ♥︎

Its quite rare for a single series to see so many scale figures from GSC!! This must be one of the longest on going series!

But anyway, let’s get back to Nadeko! Just look at that cheerful smile on her face as the white snake hair slithers about…

It’s a cheerful smile… but… but there is definitely something amiss about it!!

There are all sorts of hidden desires coiling about inside of that smile!! (/ω＼)

The package illustration had a kind of mysterious glow to the hair to give it an even more ‘non-human’ appearance, and this has been kept to a certain degree on the figure through the use of pearl paint on the hair! (●´ω｀●)

If you get the light right it looks like her hair is shining mysteriously, adding that same element the illustration had nicely!

Also note the details on the base she sits upon! The donation box has various wooden patterns making it look heavy, yet with that nice wooden beauty. The bottles of sake on the side are also all carefully made down to the details on the labels!! (・∀・)

△ The gradient paint of the wood is very pleasing to look at!

You can even see the details of the structure inside the donation box!!

Such lovely attention to detail…!

Today’s Main Feature!!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at one of Max Factory’s items that is currently available for preorder…
Hatsune Miku: mebae Ver.!

A 1/7th scale figure of Hatsune Miku based on one of the works of popular illustrator mebae! The intricate curves and dynamic feeling of mebae’s illustration have all been faithfully preserved on the figure!

Her long winding twin-tailed hair, tutu, hair accessory and the lovely curves of her lean body have all been carefully sculpted to create a figure overflowing with charm. Enjoy the beautiful ballerina Miku as she takes the spotlight in your collection!

A powerful, beautiful ballerina Miku!!

The essence of mebae’s original illustration has been captured in this figure with such amazing accuracy, creating such a stunning work of art!! The toned body you’d expect of a ballerina together with the unique pose and lovely contrast of the light skin and dark outfit are simply amazing! Not to mention the gradient hair that even makes use of translucent parts…! The figure is packed with so many highlights to enjoy!! (/ω＼)

As this time around Miku-san has been sculpted as a ballerina, the figure has a rather different representation of muscles and curves on the body! They’re such a treat for the eyes! (=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ

They say that ballerinas make art with their bodies, and I think this figure is proof of that! Her fit body looks so lovely!! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The back also captures that beauty!! <○><○>

Look at those muscles and rib cage!!

Don’t you just wish you could slide your fingers along the bumps of those bones hidden underneath her smooth skin!!! This figure was actually sculpted by the esteemed sculptor, Shining Wizard @ Sawatika! ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ

A big thank you to Shining Wizard! As usual his intricate magic has me charmed!!

Anyway, let’s move down to her feet! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Her toes are opened out wide to support her entire body, and you can see the amount of strength put into each one of those detailed toes!!

Then we move onto the other foot which you would think would be more relaxed, but…

Even the toes on this foot are clearly strained with the tension of her performance!! (°Д°；≡°Д°；)

Also take note of the twirls in her hair as they wind around her arm here! Such a bold and beautiful pose that really captures a tense, dynamic moment of her performance!

However, even though she has a very fit body and is captured in such a moment, the soft, feminine curves of her body are also a beautiful sight!♥︎

The tense appearance of her hands and legs are strangely contrasted by her soft looking thighs and chest!!

The slight red shading on the bending areas of her elbows, knees and shoulder also makes her seem so very alive!!

A perfect rendition of mebae’s original illustration!

△ Keeping the charm of this illustration in the world of figures! A true wizard!

Now let’s take a closer look at her hair! ♪

The ends make use of a semi-see-through parts that gives a translucent appearance along the beautiful gradient!

The sculpting is without a doubt incredible, but the coloring is also simply astounding! The combination of the two creates an absolute work of art!

I was honestly a little worried when I saw the figure unpainted as I didn’t know how the hair would come out on the colored version… but I wish I could go back in time and stop myself for worrying for absolutely nothing! It looks better than I could have ever imagined!

If you look close you’ll notice that the frills of her multi-layered tutu actually also make use of translucent parts as well! It makes the dress look even lighter!

Plus as this is a tutu and not a dress that means that all these low angle shots are alright! These aren’t panty shots – just tutu shots!

Dark Magician Girl

Hello everyone! My name is I.G. Sakai, a member of Max Factory’s Planning team! I’m here to let everyone know that a certain figure is coming up for preorder soon!

From the popular anime series ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ comes A figure of Yugi Muto’s reliable companion who fought a number of battles by his side…

The 1/7^th Scale Dark Magician Girl!!

The Yu-Gi-Oh series is filled with all sorts of different monsters, but the Dark Magician Girl is one that many will remember as being one of the cutest! Me included!! Let’s take a closer look at her!

Those lovely long white legs are so beautiful…

The pose where she is holding on to her hat should cause nostalgia bells to ring in fans heads a little! The outfit is of course a cuter version of the Dark Magician’s outfit! The outfit makes use of a glossy finish which brings out the gentle curves of her body very nicely!

▲The staff in her right hand uses metallic paint to bring out the texture!

The metallic shine is different to the glossy shine of the outfit, really bringing out all the different textures in the figure! The jewels in her boots also make use of a semi-see-though material to keep the transparent appearance!

▲ The gloss on the outfit matches with the tight look nicely!

Plus you can’t possibly miss the base! It’s specially designed in the shape of the magic circle that appeared in her summoning!!! Isn’t it awesome?!

The mould for the base is actually a clear blue circle, and then the golden rings and symbols are all printed onto it, which gives the illusion of the golden parts floating ever so slightly higher than the circle!

What’s that? They’re showing? Don’t be silly!!

This is a leotard! You’re not seeing anything naughty!!

Tear your gaze away from her ~~pant~~ leotard and instead take a look at the her cape is fluttering around behind her!!

By the way, we previously had this figure on display at events and whatnot, and one of the overwhelming things we heard from fans was that the stand that connects to the bottom is just getting in the way…

Hahaha! Don’t worry about such petty things my fellow duellists!
That stand can in fact be completely removed!!

On top of that…
There are no connection tabs on the bottom at all!

As you can see from my detailed explanation above, the stand at the bottom merely supports the figure, and can be removed to not affect the appearance whatsoever!

So then… why is it there in the first place? This prototype is what we call a resin cast, which is slightly heavier than the actual PVC material that the figure will be made from – the resin cast was too heavy to remove this support, but the PVC version will be able to be displayed without it.

That said, depending on your environment (such as very hot areas where PVC gets too soft) you may want or even need to use the stand – so it will be included just in case, but can be removed with ease!
