figma Vehicles: Panzer IV Ausf. H “D-Spec” & figma Ankou Team Set!

I often listen to that Pravda Girls High School song while working! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at more WonFes products, starting with…

figma Vehicles: Panzer IV Ausf. H “D-Spec”

From the popular anime series Girls und Panzer comes a 1/12th scale figure of the Ankou Team’s tank, the Panzer IV Ausf. H upgraded into to its D-Spec – also known as the Mk.IV Special! The tank is fully assembled and also comes equipped with twin motors allowing it to drive it forward! The model is based on the latest 3DCG data used in the Girls und Panzer movie, ensuring the proportions and details are all faithfully included.

The turret can be rotated and the main battery can be moved up and down allowing the tank to take careful aim. Various hatches around the tank can also be manually opened and closed. You can even easily display figma Miho Nishizumi and the other members of the Ankou Team riding inside the tank!

The Mk.IV Special in 1/12th Scale!

This is the upgraded version of the Panzer IV Ausf. D into its ‘H’ specifications! The reliable tank of the Ankou Team!!  ٩(๑òωó๑)۶

The rather large tank is so intricately detailed, and even includes motors for it to drive forward!


Just look how large the box is!

I decided to ask the head planner for the project what his highlight points were for the tank – let’s take a closer look at each of them!


① Faithful Rendition

The area where Miho sits as well as the little hatches on the side can all be opened up! All the little bolts, latches and screws are also faithfully included on the design!

② Removable Armor

The armored side parts of the tank can each be individually removed! (σ・∀・)σ

This allows you to display the tank showing off more of the caterpillar tracks!

③ 6-Spoked Wheels!

The previously released “Finals” tank has 8 spokes, but this one has been correctly adjusted to the designs from the series! (Although, the actual tank apparently had seven spokes!)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at Max Factory’s…

Atago: Heavy Armament Ver.!♥︎

From the browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a scale figure of the 2nd Takao-class Heavy Cruiser – Atago! This is a special ‘Heavy Armament Ver.’ that will be a new addition to Good Smile Company and Max Factory’s ‘Wonderful Hobby Selection’ series of top-quality figures!

This version of Atago has her equipped with her three 20.3cm Twin Gun Mounts to recreate the complete Atago for fans to enjoy! Her fluttering skirt and long, gently waving hair can be enjoyed from any angle you please! Not to mention you can enjoy both the stunning body and the impressive ship parts of Atago with this Heavy Armament Ver. in your collection!

“Atago, ready for departure! ♪”

A 1/8th scale figure of the 2nd Takao-class Heavy Cruiser with a gentle and calming personality, Atago! The figure is filled with highlights – from the three Twin Gun Mounts to her long hair twirling around her and her even longer skirt waving about! Not to mention her rather impressive bosom!!

The ship was made in the Kure Naval Arsenal with a beautifully balanced body as well as heavy arms for combat! Her charms have really come out on the figure nicely! ₍₍ (ง ˙ω˙)ว ⁾⁾

The stockings she is wearing also have been painted so amazingly! Just look at the stretched out parts that reveal a little more of the skin color of her beautiful legs!

△ The lighter and darker shades look so perfect!
Let’s twist her around for a look from the back!

The large ship parts that surround her in an arc give her such an amazing presence!

The skirt flowing down like a gown also looks fantastic, with a very beautiful blue gradient that really makes the sculpt look like fabric! ★

The difference between the mechanical ship parts and the soft looking curves of her body make for a lovely contrast!

The ship parts look so cold, yet the body looks so warm…

Another amazing thing about her sculpt is the various creases on her outfit! Look at any of the photos and I’m sure you will agree!

Even the reverse side of her skirt and the frills on her sleeves have been faithfully included! ♡

Nendoroid and figma Snow Miku: Snow Owl Ver.

I recently bought a new pair of office slippers! Though I really liked my last pair so it was quite a difficult change!

Anyway! Today I’m going to be taking a look at these two WonFes products!

First up let’s take a closer look at…

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Owl Ver.

Snow Miku has reached its 7th anniversary this year, and once again this year’s design from piapro was decided by fans during a NicoNico Live Broadcast, and has been transformed into a Nendoroid! The theme this year was ‘Winter Sports’, and the winning design was this active, playful design illustrated by Kotatsu Otogi!

The Nendoroid includes three expressions including an energetic smiling expression, a playful giggling expression and a chibi expression with tightly shut eyes. The knitted hat made in the image of an owl has been included with the figure as an actual Nendoroid-size knitted hat. She also comes with a variety of sporty goods including a snowboard, skis with ski poles and goggles! A scarf as well as snowball fight parts are also included to ensure that Miku has a great time in the snow!

An alternate body part connected to the skis is also included to display her in action, and a special snowy white base with blue snowflakes is also included to bring out the Winter atmosphere! Rabbit Yukine is included once again with his very own pair of goggles and a cute rabbit-eared hat! Be sure to add her to your collection and enjoy playing in the Winter with this year’s Snow Miku!

Snow Miku is ready to play until the ski slopes melt away!

The sporty and energetic Snow Miku is ready to head for the ski slopes! She looks so cute even from the back! ★

△The twintails are fitted with Nendoroid joints for all sorts of posing options!

This is how the box looks!

It opens in quite a different way to normal Nendoroid packages! As usual the Snow Miku Nendoroid packaging is quite different to the standard Nendoroid packaging design! ☆

The reverse side of the box looks like so! ٩( ‘ω’ )و

All sorts of poses of Snow Miku enjoying an active Winter!

The text on the top of the box here reads ‘An action figure ready to take to the snowscape’!

The package illustration also has a familiar looking snow sculpture…

There is actually one more hidden bonus on the package, so be sure to keep a look out for it! (ฅΦωΦ)ฅ

Another part of the figure that has to be noted of of course the knitted hat! 

Each hat has been carefully hand-knitted to ensure it is nice and warm!! ♡

The packaging comes with the hat unattached like so…

So you will need to first remove her twintails, place the hat over her head and then line-up the holes in the hat to match up with the twintail holes! ♪

 △ The buttons on the hat are made with natural wood!
As the hats are handmade please note that each is slightly different though!

This time Miku has joints in her elbows and knees for more active poses!

She also comes with various items for dynamic action scenes!

① Skis

The shiny ski goggles attach to the inside of the front hair parts!

This means that you don’t need to remove the hat each time you attach and remove the goggles! ♪

Plus as I’m sure you’ve noticed…

She comes with a special oblique base made in the image of a ski slope!

This makes her skiing poses even more convincing!

△ The included snow parts also have space to insert the skis and ski poles!

② Snowboard

This connects into small holes on the bottom of her feet! ヽ(•̀ω•́ )ゝ✧

The snowboard can also be placed in the snow parts above!

③ Snowball

She also comes with a special left hand that allows her to cold the snowball!

Plus this grinning expression is perfect for a snowball fight! A little effect part to display the snowball flying through the air is also included!!

And the more comical chibi expression is perfect for when she slips in the snow! (´□｀｡)

An icy effect part by her feet is also included, and can used for all sorts of different things! The fact that the expression is blushing also makes it quite easy to use in other situations as well!

“D-do you want to have a snowball fight with me?”

This is Snow Miku asking someone she likes out to a snowball fight! I think she would be a bit of a tsundere character! ☆

Moving on…

figma Snow Miku: Snow Owl Ver.

A lovely smile just as dazzling as the white snow! Plus her outfit has has a bit of a glossy paint job! ★

① Skis

Probably the first Winter sport that comes to most peoples mind! ★

You can also pose her just holding the skis and poles instead, like so…

The above expression is her smiling expression, but her neck-warmer is covering up her mouth creating a bit of a different feeling! ≡Σ((( つ•̀ω•́)つ

Even Rabbit Yukine’s hat looks rather warm and fuzzy!

△The Yukine with the Nednoroid is quite puffy like a plushie,
but the figma version is a little more slimmed down!

② Snowboard

The joints of the figma allow for some awesome jump poses!

The twintails are also fitted with joints to really create a dynamic feeling to the figure that makes it look like she could jump to life at any second! (σ・∀・)σ

Plus, as mentioned during the live broadcast, her goggles can also be removed! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ！

An alternate hair part for the goggles is included! This expression together with the way she is holding the goggles… this figma allows for so many stories to be told!!  ♪

Homura Akemi ~The Beginning Story / The Everlasting~

It makes me sad to think that January has already somehow passed by… the start of February means that WonFes is just around the corner!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Homura Akemi
~The Beginning Story / The Everlasting~!

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: The Beginning Story / The Everlasting’ comes a scale figure of Homura Akemi in her Puella Magi outfit. The figure is based on the original key visual for the movie, originally illustrated by character designer Ume Aoki.

Even the finer details such as how her hair sways in the wind has been carefully detailed for fans to enjoy in their collection. Be sure to display her with the previously released Kaname Madoka ~The Beginning Story / The Everlasting~!

“I wouldn’t mind being stuck in a never-ending maze… as long as it was for you.”

Dressed up in her Puella Magi outfit with her hair swaying in the wind around her as she looks ahead with wistful eyes – Homura Akemi as a lovely 1/8th scale figure! The figure is based on the original key visual for the movie, originally illustrated by character designer Ume Aoki-sensei!

Both her hands look so amazing! One holding down her hand and another holding a pistol! Not to mention her nails painted a beautiful pink!! ♪

The frilly skirt fluttering around as well is just as lovely, and the creases in her outfit in areas like her elbows and hips look absolutely fantastic! ☆

This is how she looks from the back!

The forward-bent posture she is posed makes the fluttering look of the skirt even more enjoyable from the back! The ribbon on her back also sways around with her hair!! This angle also gets you a nice look at her glossy black tights!!

You can also just see the nape of her neck! (੭ु ›ω‹ )੭ु⁾⁾♡

The gentle floating feeling of the figure is then completed with these rosy cheeks and adorable expression…

She looks so gentle, and yet the wistful in her eyes is also very clear…

I feel like there is something on the other side of those eyes that I’ll reach if I just keep staring into them. While the pose is overall quite a simple one, it still has so many unique touches and charms! It catches my attention in so many different ways! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Today I’m going to be taking a look at FREEing’s Virtua Fighter figmas, starting off with…

From ‘Virtua Fighter’, the world’s first 3D fighting game released back in 1993, comes a figma of Akira Yuki! The figma is designed to recreate the look of Akira from the original Virtual Fighter game! You can pose him in various classic attacks including his ‘Tetsuzankou’. Keep this figma by your side and remember the good old days at the arcade!

  • Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
  • A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
  • He comes with both a standard expression as well as a shouting expression for his victory pose.
  • A large variety of interchangeable hand parts are included to recreate various moves.
  • An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.
  • A 2P Color version is planned to be announced at a later date.

“You’re ten years too early!”

figmas made to faithfully recreate the original 3DCG graphics of the original Virtua Fighter! How can something so retro still be such a fresh idea?!

This first figma is Akira Yuki from SEGA’s masterpiece ‘Virtua Fighter’! Even the blocky appearance of his back has been faithfully preserved!

△ The rounding of his heels and upper arm are perfect!

You can even see a photo of him performing his classic ‘Tetsuzankou’ move over on the product page!

The body has been made slightly larger than most figma, and just a quick little movement of the arms and legs allows for a quick change in his pose!

Now he looks ready for combat! (∩`ω´)⊃)) 

The knees and hips are also nicely articulated allowing you to pose various different moves from the game! ♪

Even with a block old-school appearance like this you can still easily tell the difference between the bodies of male and female characters!

Just look at the curves of her bottom!

While modern day 3DCG looks incredibly realistic, there is definitely something about this retro CG that really captures the hearts of gamers!

Sarah also comes with a shouting expression to display her in the heat of a battle! (｀・ω・´)

This expression really makes her look ready for a fight! ♪ 

They both have such blocky faces, which means that taking photos from different angles really makes for quite a different impression!

A figma stand is included to keep them nice and stable, which means you can also pose them preforming a kick with ease! ★

Nendoroid Doudanuki Masakuni

Thanks to everyone who tuned into the live broadcast! Without further ado, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Doudanuki Masakuni!

From the popular browser game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the simple but strong sword, Doudanuki Masakuni! He comes with three face plates including his standard expression, a shouting expression for combat as well as a troubled expression.

His sword can be displayed sheathed or drawn, and the helmet he holds in his main illustration is also included. His scarf can easily be moved around to match your poses, allowing for various action poses to be taken. Be sure to add him to your collection!

“We’re weapons. The only thing we need to be… is strong.”

The simple yet strong and belligerent sword boy, Doudanuki Masakuni is joining the Nendoroids! ♪

His unique eyebrows as well as the scars on the left side of his face have all been shrunk down into Nendoroid size! The spiky looking appearance of his hair has also been very nicely sculpted giving him that easy-going look! (。・ω・)ノ゛

Plus that area of bare, manly abs between his sarashi and scarf!

The Nendoroid only stands about 10cm in height and yet you can still see the powerful looking muscles on the small area of bare skin! The sculpting still keeps to the chibi design nicely though! ★

His sword can be displayed both drawn and ready for combat as well as sheathed away in his scabbard – two separate parts are included to allow for this! Simply choose the part that better matches your pose! (・∀・)

△ This oblique angle of his face makes him look so valiant!

Anyway, let’s take a look at his first alternate expression, which is…

A Combat Expression!

As I’m sure any fans would have noticed, his eyes have changed into combat mode as well!!

His eyes are normally rather sullen, but they kind of awaken when it comes to combat! The pose of him running forward ready to draw out the sword also has such a strong impact! ♪

Bent arm parts are included for both left and right arms allowing for various fun and original poses as well! ★

Anyway, in game he isn’t very keen when you make him the commander of your group… which is why he also comes with this third expression…

A troubled expression!

The clenched teeth as well as the one closed eye…!

I can just imagine him saying ‘Ugh…’ when I look at this expression! The confident, diligent look that the previous expressions gave him seems rather far when you switch to this expression!

It’s always nice to have different options, and I can really see this expression working great in story poses with the other characters!

As usual, a special round base featuring his emblem is also included! ٩(๑òωó๑)۶

Move to Akihabara: Complete!

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I have recently been told there is a delicious taiyaki shop really close to the new offices and I can’t wait to get my hands on one. If you have any nice tips on where to eat in Akihabara, let me know!!

Good Smile Company has now moved!
Not even 10 minutes walk from Akihabara station!

△  The building looks a bit like a giant mirror! 

I’m looking forward to bringing everyone all sorts of fun reviews from the new offices!! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

We received moving congratulations flowers, plants and more from all sorts of different companies!

Thank You!!

The above was taken this morning, but since then the amount of plants and flowers have only increased!! 

Really, a big thank you to each and every company that sent these through! The offices are currently filled with a lovely, somewhat romantic aroma of flowers!! ♥︎

They are currently all located on the meeting room floor! (σ・∀・)σ

The building has many more floors used by GSC and Mac Factory… but most of them are still being cleaned up after the move! (/ω＼)

While most of the areas for staff have all been fully prepared and everyone is getting back to work, but…

This is the current CEO Office!

You would think this would be the room we just moved out of, not into!! 

Once things calm down and the room is completed, I will come back and take some new photos to share on the blog!

Nendoroid Kenma Kozume

I am so very busy thanks to the office move! I just can’t get used to everything and everyone moving to new places! I will be updating the blog’s header when I get around to it!! (/ω＼)

Anyway, the first figure to be reviewed in the new Akihabara offices is…

Nendoroid Kenma Kozume!

From the popular anime series and manga ‘Haikyu!!’ comes a Nendoroid of the Nekoma High School Volleyball Team’s setter, also said to be the ‘backbone’, ‘brains’ and ‘heart’ of the team – Kenma Kozume! He comes with three expression parts including a standard face, a smiling face as well as a bit of a shameful embarrassed expression.He also comes a variety of optional parts that allow you to recreate popular scenes from the series, as well as a volleyball and a base made in the image of a volleyball court. His smartphone, a black cat as well as parts to display him sitting on the floor are also all included, allowing fans to enjoy various situations of the rather bashful Kenma!

“I’m not strong. We’re strong.”

The cat-eyed languid setter for Nekoma High School’s Volleyball Team, ‘Kenma Kozume’ is joining the Nendoroids! ♪

His sharp eyes that catch even the smallest details during his matches as well as his loosely closed mouth and ‘pudding head’ hairstyle are all faithfully included on his design! (●´ω｀●)


△ Such a lovely gradient! It looks so cute from the top!

If you look close you’ll also notice the hair at his neck also has the black layer!

△ It looks so smooth and silky! I want to run my fingers through it! ♪

Although he is known for having a rather sky personality, he also of course is a very dependable member of the Nekoma High School Volleyball Team, and he can also be posed as such!

A volleyball part together with a special stand to display it flying through the air are both included, which mean you can easily pose him making the plays that make him the ‘game maker’!

△ It takes a bit of balance, but you can also display him holding the ball!

But he also comes with other parts that allow you to enjoy Kenma off the court as well! ☆

First up… his smartphone!

△ You can even display him using the touchscreen with this hand part!

Plus an expression that matches with the smartphone parts…

A downcast embarrassed expression!

Oooh! He looks so adorable like this! 

This expression suddenly makes him look so very innocent! He also comes with another optional part that matches with the expression nicely…

The sitting parts are a completely alternate lower body part that can be interchanged whenever you like!

The cat also has a rather familiar… hairstyle…

You can also have him holding the ball with this expression!

Good Smile Company is Moving Offices!

Farewell, Skytree!!

Hello, Akihabara!

This week Good Smile Company is moving offices to the sacred land – Akihabara!! Due to the move, the blog will be taking a day off on Monday, so the next update will be on Tuesday next week!!

The next time we meet I will be taking photos from a new office!

figFIX Yukikaze: Half-Damage ver.

Today’s Main Feature…!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at Max Factory’s item that went up for preorder the other day…

figFIX Yukikaze: Half-Damage ver.!

Yukikaze from ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ is joining the figFIX series of figma-sized statue figures in her half-damaged pose! Yukikaze’s embarrassed expression looks ready to burst into tears as her clothes are torn apart from the damage! The expression part can be exchanged with the previously released figma Yukikaze for even more posing options – be sure to display the two of them together!

“I-I told you, I won’t sink!!”

The latest addition to the figFIX series!

Yukikaze in figma size in her classic half-damage pose! The blushing face as she rushes to cover up her lower half is so cute! And the hair, neck-tie and binoculars blowing in the wind are beautifully sculpted for a palm-sized figure!

While the pose is relatively simple, the details and feeling of movement that the figure gives is amazing to look at! Every inch of the figure is such a pleasure to look at! ★

She is trying so hard to cover up the inside of her one-piece, but…

It isn’t very hard to see past it! <○><○>

There are all sorts of highlights on the figure that pull your attention, but lets shift our attention away from the cute character and onto her intricate ship parts!

The contrast between her soft skin and the mechanical ship parts is lovely!

I must say that once you have looked very carefully at her from the back, and then look at her face again…

Once she joins your collection be sure to have a nice close look from any angle you please!! But let’s take a step back for a second and have a quick recap regarding the figFIX series!

A series of collectible figures created as a spin-off to the figma series!

The figFIX series of figures is the same size as figmas (around 1/12th scale) so they can easily be displayed together, but they are fixed in a specific and well-known pose of each character, allowing for a more faithful representation as well as a reasonable price! The series allows the skilled craftsmen of Max Factory to put their skills to work on more delicate sculpting and paintwork for fans to enjoy! The head part of figFIX figures make use of the same joint as the figma series, allowing for some interesting display possibilities for fans to play around with as well!
