Sometimes I stop my alarm in the morning before I’ve fully woken up and then wonder all morning if the alarm actually went off or not…

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Koishi Komeiji!

From the popular game series by Team Shanghai Alice, the ‘Touhou Project’ comes a Nendoroid of Koishi Komeiji, the girl who sealed away her own third eye. She comes with three expression parts including a standard hard-to-read expression, a winking expression as well as a smiling expression.

She also comes with a variety of parts that allow her to be placed in all sorts of poses, including her barrage pose from the game as well as a cute pose with her hands making a heart shape. Enjoy the bright and cheerful company of Koishi-chan in your collection!

The Closed Eyes of Love!

The character who closed her Third Eye in an attempt to get rid of her mind-reading ability – Koishi Komeiji is joining the Nendoroids! (´□｀｡)

Her frilly outfit has been faithfully converted into Nendoroid size, and her shiny, youthful eyes also really bring out her cute charm! Her third eye that can read the minds of others is included but is of course all closed up! 

The cords attached to the eye spin all around the figure, but note that even the little twists that make up a heart-shape have been incorporated on the Nendoroid’s design. ♪

Also note the frills on her sleeve, the green gradient of her skirt and the little diamond shaped accessories on her design! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

A bit of a dynamic feeling is added to the figure with the fluttering ribbon as well as the waves in her hair from the back! 

Her standard expression that you can see above is very cheerful and suits Koishi nicely, but she also comes with two other alternate face plates!

First up, this innocent smile!

Those who have played the game might remember a scene like this!

Her third expression is a Winking Face! (/ω・＼)

She also comes with hand parts making a heart shape to match with the cord part!

The cord part actually comes in two different versions – a long version and a shorter version, allowing you to match the cord with your pose! She also comes with both a straight arm part as well as a bent arm part with a joint at the elbow allowing for various different posing options for you to choose from! (・∀・)

Plus her hat can also be removed!

From ‘A Certain Magical Index The Movie – The Miracle of Endymion Streaming-‘ comes a 1/4th scale figure of Index dressed up in a bunny girl outfit! The net stockings make use of actual material for a more realistic appearance, and the figure itself is filled with highlights that fans are sure to enjoy!

The outfit is quite a change from her normal look, so be sure to take a close look at her at all sorts of different angles – there is no doubt that you will be charmed by her newfound choice of wardrobe!

“Look, look! This time I’m dressed up as a bunny rabbit!”

Index all dressed up in a much more sultry outfit compared to her normal habit, with her long hair let loose and her beautiful silver eyes gleaming in the light!

The figure captures her youthful curves while also giving her body a really soft and sexy appearance! Those thighs look so squishy!! (/ω＼)

The cute Aliceband with bunny ears also looks so cute and shiny!!

Anyway, let’s get back to today’s main feature! ♪

What an innocent smile!! (´□｀｡)

I can almost hear her playful voice bouncing around cheerfully in my head just by looking at this adorable face!! The wavy mouth and tightly clenched hands really show off her fun-loving personality!

But perhaps the most noticeable point of the figure is these lovely net tights!! Even though Index has such a youthful body, the net tights really add a sexy side to the figure as well!

Just like all the previous figures in the ongoing series, the tights are made from actual fabric to provide a very realistic appearance! ♪

Plus if we look from the back we can see that lovely little hollowed out section made from her bent knees!!

The detailed sculpting tends to all sorts of fans all at once!

Not to mention that the figure is an impressive 410mm in height! It’s like Index is really right beside you – and you can enjoy her from absolutely any angle you please!!

Nendoroid Akashi Kai

Today’s main feature…!

The know in Japan today made my normal trip to work twice as long… it’s amazing how that sort of delay can get your stressed before the day even begins! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a a look at…

Nendoroid Akashi Kai!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the repair ship, Akashi Kai! She comes with three expressions including her standard expression, a prim expression as well as an expression with her tongue out, ready to repair anything!

Her ship parts are the upgraded ‘Kai’ parts and are fitted with various joints and connections making them highly flexible for various poses. Optional parts include a variety of items perfect for Akashi’s repair work including a welding mask, welding machine, welding effect parts, blueprints and a spanner! Be sure to display her with her support partner, Nendoroid Oyodo!

“I’m Akashi, the only dedicated repair ship in the fleet.”

The ship girl who’s main role is that of support is joining the Nendoroid series in her upgraded ‘Kai’ version! All the cute details that bring out her character such as the tufts of hair sticking out beneath her ears, her confident eyes and the sailor outfit with a hint of Japanese style have all been faithfully transformed into Nendoroid size! The ship parts including her little crane are also looking great!! All of Akashi’s charm has been compacted into the figure! ♪

“I never expected to be use my arsenal to fire at the enemy!”

Akashi might be a support ship, but she is still equipped with some weapons!

A hand part to clench the lever by the turret is included together with firing effect parts which work great to pose her as if firing at the enemy in combat! ♪

The headband parts connect onto the back of the head through one part that can be attached and removed! The front part of the headband connect into the reverse side of the front hair parts! (σ・∀・)σ

Anyway, along with the confident smiling expression above, she also comes with this more gentle expression! (σ・∀・)σ

A prim and proper expression! ♡ 

The crane of the right side of the ship parts can also be detached and instead held in her arms! 

You can just imagine her saying something like “Should I get that fixed?”. But moving onto her third expression which also has a very different feel…

A mischievous expression!

The way her tongue is sticking out together with those cunning eyes makes you wonder just what she is planning! (/ω＼)

In her hands she holds a variety of repair-related optional parts including a welding mask, some blueprints and a spanner!

△ So small! So cute!

But that’s not all! She also comes with a welding machine and effect parts to match with the welding mask and really allow you to display her hard at work repairing!

The two tanks included are for ‘Arc welding’ and ‘Gas Welding’! Plus she even comes with alternate hand parts wearing gloves!

This is how she looks lined up with all of the included optional parts!

So many different options!

As with most of the KanColle Nendoroids, the amount of parts allow you to pose her in all sorts of fun different ways! Another thing to note is that the cranes on her ship parts are articulated even more than normal, allowing you to really move them around to better match your poses! (●´ω｀●)


△ Move them around to wherever needs repairs!

As I’m sure many have already noticed, today was the Good Smile Company and Max Factory booth website for the Winter Wonder Festival 2016 has opened!

The first update to the site only includes a small portion of what you can expect to see at the event, starting with some of the products that will be on sale at the event! Let’s take a closer look at each item!! (σ・∀・)σ

– Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Owl Ver. –


Price:  ¥5,500 / Number Available at Event: 3,000 / Max. 2 Per Person

Snow Miku has reached its 7th anniversary this year, and once again this year’s design from piapro was decided by fans during a NicoNico Live Broadcast, and has been transformed into a Nendoroid! The theme this year was ‘Winter Sports’, and the winning design was this active, playful design illustrated by Kotatsu Otogi!

The Nendoroid includes three expressions including an energetic smiling expression, a playful giggling expression and a chibi expression with tightly shut eyes. The knitted hat made in the image of an owl has been included with the figure as an actual Nendoroid-size knitted hat. She also comes with a variety of sporty goods including a snowboard, skis with ski poles and goggles! A scarf as well as snowball fight parts are also included to ensure that Miku has a great time in the snow!

An alternate body part connected to the skis is also included to display her in action, and a special snowy white base with blue snowflakes is also included to bring out the Winter atmosphere! Rabbit Yukine is included once again with his very own pair of goggles and a cute rabbit-eared hat! Be sure to add her to your collection and enjoy playing in the Winter with this year’s Snow Miku!

*Please note that each hat is carefully hand-knitted to ensure it is nice and warm, but this means that each hat will differ slightly in shape. Additionally, the wooden buttons on the hat are made from natural wood which means each button will have a slightly different texture.

From the popular anime series Girls und Panzer comes a 1/12th scale figure of the Ankou Team’s tank, the Panzer IV Ausf. D upgraded into to its H-Spec – also known as the Mk.IV Special! The tank is fully assembled and also comes equipped with twin motors allowing it to drive it forward! The model is based on the latest 3DCG data used in the Girls und Panzer movie, ensuring the proportions and details are all faithfully included.

The turret can be rotated and the main battery can be moved up and down allowing the tank to take careful aim. Various hatches around the tank can also be manually opened and closed. You can even easily display figma Miho Nishizumi and the other members of the Ankou Team riding inside the tank!

The tank also has motors to keep that ‘toy’ like feel while also including all the details that Max Factory is known for!

Nendoroid Co-de: Falulu – Marionette Mu Cyalume Co-de!

From the popular anime series ‘PriPara’ comes a Nendoroid Co-de of Falulu wearing her Marionette Mu Cyalume Co-de!The adorable outfit is the sparking cyalume co-de of the Marionette Mu brand – the outfit worn by Falulu in the first season, filled with frills and jewels. Be sure to display her together with the previously released SoLaMi♡SMILE and Dressing Pafé Nendoroid Co-de figures! ♪

“Frozen Castle Mirage!”

The mysterious beauty with a ‘Prism Voice’, Falulu is joining the Nendoroid Co-de series! Her lovely fluffy green hair and gentle eyes as well as the adorable pink Marionette Mu outfit have all been beautifully sculpted! ♪

The bright coloring makes her look like sugar candy!! So sweet!!

This is how she looks from the back! ☆

The six bundles of hair have been faithfully included!

The ornaments that look a bit like headphones have also been included with little design elements like the wavy lines and hearts included! They also give the overall cute outfit a little bit of a mechanical feeling which suits Falulu’s mysterious air very nicely! (´□｀｡)

A Quick Nendoroid Co-de Recap!

Nendoroid Co-de is a new addition to the Nendoroid series based on the theme of dressing-up characters! The figures have fixed poses and each come with four parts – the head, upper garment, lower garment and shoes. Each of these parts can be swapped between characters allowing for all sorts of possibilities. The more you collect, the more dress-up options become available to you!

In other words…! They are simple fixed pose Nendoroids, great for new collectors and with the ability to dress-up in various ways! Great fun for both young and old fans!

Here you can find out more about the Nendoroid Co-de series as well as test out some of the possible outfit combinations that will come from the first three characters! Maybe Falulu will make an appearance on stage too?

Anyway, let’s get back to Falulu!

If you look close at her outfit, you’ll notice the center bit at her chest is made to look like a power button! I also really love the way her fingers are placed apart on her right hand! (*´Д｀)=з

By the way, the curly hair is also fitted with joints allowing you to create slightly different nuances to your poses – for example… (σ・∀・)σ

Change into the Magical Clown Co-de!! ★ 

Here I placed her as if nodding her head to the side! 

As I explained above, Nendoroid Co-de are separated into four different parts – the head, upper garment, lower garment and shoes! You can mix and match these parts to create all sorts of cute and fun wardrobes for the characters! These examples have me just switching the head part onto previous complete bodies, but even that makes for a very different appearance! (/ω＼)

Guts (Black Swordsman)

I have recently become very fond of food with a springy texture! But anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at threezero’s…

Guts (Black Swordsman)!

From ‘Berserk’, the dark fantasy masterpiece set in middle age Europe, comes a 1/6th scale action figure of the main character, Guts! The figure stands approximately 32cm in height with his Black Swordsman outfit and equipment all sculpted down to the most intricate of details.

His cape and bandages make use of real fabric, while his belt and scabbard use synthetic leather. Guts also comes with a large selection of weapons including his Dragonslayer sword, a dagger, five throwing knives and a crossbow.The crossbow comes in both a stowed away form as well as a deployed form that can be attached to his left forearm for combat scenes.

His artificial arm has full articulation all the way down to the individual fingers, and the hand can even flip down to reveal a cannon just like in the series. His right arm features a seamless elbow joint for natural poses and also comes with four different interchangeable hand parts to choose from including a fist, open hand, hand for holding his sword and a hand to hold the crossbow handle. He also comes with two head parts – a stoic standard expression and a berserk expression for combat scenes.

The Black Swordsman!

From the series long loved by fans ‘Berserk’ comes a figure of the main character with a rather heavy fate on his back – Guts! The figure not only brings out the atmosphere of the series but also allows for all sorts of different poses as a fully articulated action figure! The long black cape can be attached and removed as you see fit, and he also comes with his massive Dragonslayer sword in all its gory detail!

△ You can see the sword as been in a fair share of battles.

Removing the cape also reveals more of his robust, muscular build to take a nice close look at! (。・ω・)ノ

△ The wound bandages and blood stains on his armor…
they look painful and yet so amazing at the same time! (´□｀｡)

Plus as you can tell from the photo above, his armor and all the other details and accessories of his outfit have all been faithfully preserved on the figure!

△ The rusted look of the paintwork is also fantastic! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The outfit makes use of real materials for a very realistic appearance as well!

You can really get a feel for the different textures of his outfit just through the way they look! ♪

The sturdy armor together with that powerful gaze…!

Guts’ fearless expression is captured so perfectly, and together with the details of his outfit really brings out a lovely realistic feeling! ε=(。・д・。)

You may have also noticed he was carrying a crossbow at the start of the blog! This crossbow also comes in a folded up form to be placed securely away in a holster on his back!

This hand is none other than kadoo from threezero! You can tell from the size of the hand that this is also a figure with quite some volume!

In other words, the crossbow comes in both an opened out out form as well as a stowed away form! ☆


△ The damaged paintwork gives it a bit of an antique feeling! ♪

Plus he also comes with another rather special weapon…

Bend the wrist and reveal the cannon!

Plus you can see he also comes with this expression perfect for a ‘Berserker’ posed in a fighting scene! You can recreate all sorts of scenes as well as create your very own original scenarios! The possibilities are endless! (/ω＼)

Nendoroid Futaba Ichinose

Today was  first day in awhile where I was actually shivering from the cold. I was so glad that I had a hand warmer with me!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Futaba Ichinose!

From the anime series ‘Seiyu’s Life!’ comes a Nendoroid of Futaba Ichinose wearing casual clothes. She comes with a standard expression, a surprised expression as well as a heart-eyed expression.

Optional parts also include an arrow part to display her ‘shot’ through the heart, as well as a dubbing microphone and script that allow you to pose her recording lines as a voice actress! Her Korori-chan plushie doll is also included to keep her company! Enjoy all sorts of scenes from the series!

Ooooooohhh!(´□｀｡)

The rather clumsy and slightly pessimistic glasses girl and newbie voice actress, Futaba Ichinose is joining the Nendoroids! Her light purple hair and outfit carefully chosen to avoid noise while recording have all been faithfully shrunk down to Nendoroid size! ☆

Plus as you’d expect from a Nendoroid from ‘Seiyu’s Life’ she also comes with both a dubbing microphone and script as optional parts! This allows you to pose her as if recording lines like this! (σ・∀・)σ

△ You could also pose other Nendoroids in front of the microphone!

Plus she also comes with this irreplaceable part…

A Korori-chan plushie doll!

Although it has been changed into Nendoroid form, the little details like the jagged teeth, red ribbon and buttons have all been included for a perfect rendition! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

While you can display Korori-chan on her own like this, you can also remove it  from the stand and combine it with Futaba’s arm parts like this!!

But anyway, let’s take a look at her alternate expressions, starting off with…

A surprised expression!

A perfect expression for the emotional Futaba!

The squirmy appearance of her eyebrows, spinning eyes and that comical mouth all capture her astonishment while also keeping the expression so cute!!

She also comes with these parts to make her look even more stressed!

Misted-up Glasses! (/ω＼)

We all know that when you get too agitated in anime you’ll fog up your glasses!!  The glasses cover up a bit of the expression which actually creates a rather different feel for the figure overall! Plus you can always just switch back when you feel like a change! ♪

Moving onto her third expression…

A Heart-eyed Expression!

Recreate all the scenes of her with a fluttering heart for Rin Kohana! I think this is one of the most boldly executed expressions in Nendoroid history!

Plus she also comes with a heart part with an arrow through it to hold at her chest!

Nendoroid Sybilla

I have recently found that mink tablets are rather tasty! I might have been influenced by Tosaki-san!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Sybilla! ♡

From the popular browser game ‘Millennium War Aigis’ comes a Nendoroid of the princesses, Sybilla! She comes with three expressions including a standard expression, an expression for combat as well as a damaged expression.Her sword is included and can be displayed both sheathed and drawn with different parts, allowing the Nendoroid to take all sorts of action poses from the game! Be sure to add the selfish Princess to your collection!

“So… you’re the Prince. My name is Sybilla.”

A character that boasts the ‘Black’ rarity in the game, the adorable Princess Sybilla is joining the Nendoroids! Even in Nendoroid size the fluffy long cape with little ribbons on the sides have been faithfully included!

Her lovely long twin-tails as well as the skull-shaped accessories look great, and of course her cute little crown to top it all off! ♡

△ The cape is separated into three sections to match different poses! ♪

The twin-tails are also split at two different points each fitted with joints allowing for movements like this!! (*´Д｀)=з


△ Allows for more dynamic posing!

She also includes the weapon that doesn’t quite match up with her cute, innocent appearance – the magical sword Fragarach! ♪

△ The ribbon on her chest, her skirt and socks are also all so detailed!

Anyway, along with her composed standard expression, she also comes with…

A Combat Expression!

Sharp eyes and a gallant shout!

As you can see she can also be displayed wielding Fragarach for even more epic poses!! The combination with the bent arm pose really makes for an amazing combat scene!! (●´ω｀●)

Her cape can also be removed!

△ This is how the cape looks by itself! Even the inside is a lovely crimson!

Without the cape, Sybilla’s outfit suddenly has a slightly more sexy appearance to it! ★

△ The details on the outfit really are magnificent!

Moving on to her third expression…

Her Damaged Expression!

Ooooooooohh! (/ω＼)

She looks so frail with her one eye closed and those worried eyebrows… but there is also something about this expression that has a provocative feeling about it…

The difference between her first expression and this one is quite the jump!

△ But I think I like this face the best!

Three expressions, a removable cape and her sword make for all sorts of options… but there is still more!!

Sitting parts are also included! ♥︎ 

The sitting pose with legs out to the side really suits the damaged expression too! (´□｀｡)

Thanks to the joints in the twin-tails, you can also move them to the side so they don’t get in the way of the sitting pose! There are so many fun poses to be had with the adorable Princess!! ☆

perfect date with raiden

Me and Raiden thought about going out for our date, but it was way too
chilly to do so.. So we settled on staying inside and staying warm for
our date.

I made tea with melted M&Ms in it and saved one for Raiden
who wanted something sweet, but nothing like a drink.

Racing Miku: 2015 Ver.

I can already feel my hay-fever starting to act up… perhaps  because this Winter has been rather warm? Or maybe it’s just a cold…?

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Racing Miku: 2015 Ver.!♥︎

The 2015 design of Racing Miku, the official character of the Hatsune Miku GT Project, is being made into a 1/8th scale figure!

The figure’s design is based on Taiki’s illustration of Racing Miku as a ‘Princess Knight’, and has faithfully preserved all the details of the original illustration. The intricate outfit and dynamic pose all come together to create a cheerful Racing Miku that is sure to add new charm to any fan’s collection!

The songstress of the racing circuit!♡ 

The scale figure of last year’s Racing Miku which went up for preorder just at the end of last month! Her adorable smile captures such a lovely moment! The fluttering of the flag and her twin-tails also add a nice dynamic effect to the figure, and the cute outfit has also been sculpted in lovely detail!! ♪

I managed to grab the painted prototype for a quick review!

This is how she looks from the back!

Take a look at the translucent appearance of her twintails! 

They are beautifully painted to give a nice gradient that slowly becomes more translucent toward to bottom! They also have a nice volume to them that, together with the flag, give the figure a  rather impressive size!!

She is posed standing with one foot up in the air for a rather simple pose, but the dynamic elements of the figure make it all the more eye-catching! ♪

The stand features a stylish design based on Miku’s hair color and standard hair accessories!

The pink is also used in some other areas! 〜(*´Д｀)=з

Take a close look at her lovely thighs!

I’m sure you can see the pink area!

The curves from her bottom down along the thighs is such a treat for the eyes!

By the way… Miku-san is wearing a tutu with a leopard, so you’re not seeing panties!! These photos are not showing too much!! Really!! (*ﾟｰﾟ*)

△ You get a really nice feel for the fluttering of the flag from this angle!

Anyway, the 2015 Racing Miku’s design was based on a ‘Princess Knight’! You can see the ‘Princess’ part in her expression, the frills on her outfit and of course the tiara…

If you’re looking for the ‘Knight’ part…

The gauntlets and various other parts of her outfit are modelled off knightly armor! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The golden lining also gives a very noble aspect to the design which fits both the princess and knight sides of the design! The little neck-tie accessory is included on the design as a little homage to the original Miku design!

NEXT DOOR Project: Corrections to Wonda-chan’s Expression

I really feel like some nice warm oden! In fact, I wouldn’t mind having oden for every meal of every day!

Anyway, today I’m going to be talking about the NEXTDOOR Project! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The illustrations of Wonda-chan used on the official WonFes guidebook is done by a different illustrator for each event, and this time around a ‘Next Door’ Wonda-chan illustration, a second illustration that is done by an up-and-coming illustrator has been done together with the main Wonda-chan by Yohiko Azumaki.

This secondary Wonda-chan is also being made into a figure, creating the perfect souvenir  This is the Wonda-chan NEXT DOOR Project!

GSC is involved with the manufacturing and production of the figure! (・∀・)

I’ve mostly been updating everyone about the project through Twitter, but as they say the expression is the heart of the figure, so I decided the expression section deserved to be looked at on the blog! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

① Eyelashes


△ T1 (Testshot #1) Change Requests sent to the GSC Factory!

This image shows the initial prototype (on the right) and the changes that were made on the sample! You can see that the eyelashes were actually changed quite a lot! Changing a figure at this stage of the development is actually an incredibly rare occurrence!

The prototype had a more pointed edge to the eyelash, while the final version has a thicker, more rectangular look that makes her look much cuter! ♡

Here we have the eyes a little more zoomed out so you can see the full effect. The left side is before the change while the right side is after the change. The sideways glance definitely looks better with the thicker eyelashes, and it also gives an overall more sexy look to her eyes! ♪

There was even a stage in the production where the double ‘tips’ on the outer sides of the eyelashes were considered being removed as they were very difficult to reproduce in mass production, but eventually they were instead just changed to better show the ‘droopy’ look of her eyes! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ

They say the most difficult part to get right on a figure is the eyes, but the eyelashes definitely play an important part too!

Even with a rather simple expression, the details around the eyes need to have careful attention given to them!  <○><○>

② Eyes

The T1 is the first test product created by the factory. It is checked thoroughly so that any changes needed are fixed up before mass production. Perhaps the area that is checked most intricately is the eyes!!

The comments here relate to the paintwork as well as the rounding, angles and even shadows. So many intricate details need to be considered to ensure the product comes out perfectly! Below are more changes that were requested.

Another important aspect is the ‘highlights’ in the eyes!

This shows the difference between the T2 and the changes that were made afterward!

The brightness was increased, the position was lowered and an extra smaller highlight was added near the bottom to give her eyes that cute shine! ♥︎

As I’m sure you can tell, these changes may seem small, but the effect of the overall figure is very noticeable! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Most of these change requests come in the form of images like above, but the most difficult thing is applying those changes onto the actual figure! It’s easier drawn than done in most cases! The team has to carefully consider each change and then apply it in whichever way appears to work out best. Many things might look like a good correction on an image but when put into practice on a figure may have a rather unintended effect as well!

③ Cheeks

This project was all done in a very short amount of time considering the time needed for sculpting and the risks involved with manufacturing overseas… but at the painted prototype point no real consideration had been given to adding a blush to the cheeks on the figure…

However! Blushes make for a cuter figure, and so…

△ This mail details how at even at this late stage, a blush was considered!

… and thus a slight blush was added!

And the response to seeing the blush added… you can even understand if you don’t speak Japanese! ☆

△ GOOOOOOOOD!

It really matches with the eyes nicely and gives her that really youthful, but still somewhat sexy appearance!! Creating a figure that represents the illustration better than even before! (*ﾟｰﾟ*)

… and thus, after all sorts of last minute changes.. we have this cute expression with an ever so slight blush!! Here she is… complete!!
