Nendoroid Eclair Martinozzi

Sometimes I get this strange compulsion to eat custard cream! Whenever it comes I run down to the convenience store and stock up on cream puffs and éclairs!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Eclair Martinozzi! ♡

From the anime series DOGDAYS” comes a Nendoroid of Eclair Martinozzi, the leader of the Biscotti Knights Praetorian Guards unit who protect Millhiore.

She comes with three expressions including a cute smiling expression, a more serious combat expression as well as a flustered expression with blushing cheeks. Optional parts include the two short swords she dual wields as well as emblem parts. Enjoy both the cute and confident sides of Eclair from the series!

Eclair!!!! (*´Д｀)

The dual-wielding leader of the Biscotti Knights Praetorian Guards unit who protect Millhiore! Eclair Martinozzi is joining the Nendoroids! The painted figure was on display last month for the first time at the ‘DOG DAYS Special Show – Flonya Fes 2015 -‘! Now she is almost ready for preorders! She looks so awesome holding her two swords with that smile on her face!

The unique colors of her outfit, armored parts on her wrists and belt around her hips are all so detailed! Not to mention those adorable fluffy looking ears! ♥︎

Her soft looking green hair with one strand sticking out at the front! Plus a lovely bushy tail! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The sticking up hair isn’t stuck in place either, so you can twist it into various positions to better match your poses! Anyway, as the leader of the Biscotti Knights Praetorian Guards unit, it only makes sense to display her with the previously released Nendoroid Hime-sama! ☆

The planner of this figure was Yassan, who seems to pretty much always end up including embarrassed expressions to his Nendoroid projects! Not that I’m complaining – just look at how cute she came out! Great job, Yassan!! Another thing about the expression is that it can be used for so many different situations! I’m sure all the fans out there will come up with all sorts of fun situations!! ♡

Kahotan Post Office: May/June 2015 – Part 3

Today is the Port of Yokohama’s 34th anniversary!
I live in Yokohama which means there will be fireworks tonight!

Male Figures!!

I’ve looked at each and every photo that has been sent in, and have loved all of them! This time around there were a lot of people that send in photos for the first time, which I am always happy to see! (/ω＼)

The theme was male figures, so I decided to head out on a sunny day with my Aoba for some photos! Matching a photo to the height of a Nendoroid makes for a very low angle that isn’t really easy to take… I look forward to a bit more practice!

Hello from America! I really love the Hermitaurs in Monster Hunter, but I always feel so bad when I have to hurt one! My pet crab was a good sport though and posed for these intense hunting pictures!

Nendoroid KAITO: Senbonzakura Ver.

June starts today! Eh?! It’s already June?!
We’re already headed into the rainy season! _:(´ཀ`」 ∠):_

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid KAITO: Senbonzakura Ver.!

A Nendoroid of KAITO based on the outfit he wore in the song ‘Senbonzakura’ by Kurousa-P! He comes with a slightly mischievous smile a much more tense, serious expression. His military uniform featuring the snow family crest has been carefully miniaturized into Nendoroid size while still ensuring he looks dashing and confident even in chibi size! His sword ‘Sessei’ is also included to display him in ready to fight!

Using the specially included leg parts, you can also pose him standing up without the need of the display arm. Be sure to display him together with the previously released ‘Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Senbonzakura Ver.’! ♪

Oooooooohhhh!! (´□｀｡)

The commanding officer of the Kamigakari Special Sakura Squad is joining the Nendoroids! ♪

Those of you who had tuned in to last weeks Hatsune Miku no Jikan 8 or Kahotan Station: May Edition will have already got a good look at him… but now he is finally headed toward preorders! His uniform is so adorable and features the beautiful snowflake patterns all over the sleeves – as well as on his hat! His smile and salute are also more than enough to brighten up my day! (/ω＼)

However! This KAITO is about more than just his smile!!

He can be posed in a rather different pose too!

This KAITO is after all the commanding officer of the Kamigakari Special Sakura Squad! He needed a more serious expression!! ♥︎

The planner behind this figure was Hamako, who is a huge Vocaloid fan, and she put a lot of thought into getting as many fans to love KAITO-niisan as possible! I for one find his smile as well as his cool and composed expression both amazing!

This is actually the second figure from the song ‘Senbonzakura’ following on from Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Senbonzakura Ver.! ♪

The muted colors bring out the Japanese feel of the designs and also bring out the Senbonzakura universe so nicely! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

I decided I had to a back-to-back shot of KAITO and Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Senbonzakura Ver. , who is currently on sale! ☆

△ Just like Miku, KAITO’s hat can be completely removed. ♪

I really love this pose! It’s like they are defending each others backs as they ready for combat! (●´ω｀●)

The sword he holds is ‘Sessei’, and just look at the detail on the guard!

△ The intricate little pattern is a work of art in itself!

Plus the sword also comes with a special hand part to display him holding it at the ready! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

He looks ready for anything…!!

As he is wearing a hat it’s quite easy for a shadow to fall over the head, but I actually think that kind of suits his more serious look…!

The tassel hanging off the sword is connected with a ring allowing you to move it to the left or right for a slightly different nuance!

Also note the details of the accessories on his outfit!

Another thing here I want to point out is… the hand parts!

The white gloves are lovely, but the fact that his wrists are still visible as open skin is lovely! You can easily create poses that give a little peek at his wrists! Be sure to come up with some lovely poses once he has been added to your collection! ♪

Speaking of making poses… KAITO can also be posed without the need for a stand! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

This allows you to read the ‘Zero‘ written on his back without any interference! He does come with a stand for a more stable option as well though! (｀・ω・´)

Hatsune Miku: Animal Charm Straps

I have so many rubber straps and keychains attached to the strap of my staff ID card which I hang around my neck, that it has got to the point that my shoulders are going stiff from the weight. This must be the weight of love…! I must add more!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a product that went up for preorder earlier this week…

Hatsune Miku: Animal Charm Straps!♡

They’re so… puffy!

Puffy like clouds! I feel like they should be all squishy when I touch them!

CHANxCO’s original designs have been transformed into charm size figures keeping the same adorable charm of the illustrations!

The difference between each character is so much fun to look at!
Just looking at them makes me feel all warn and happy inside…!

Let’s take a closer look at them one-by-one! ♪

Bunny-Miku

A cute, delicious looking Miku-san!

The rather unhappy looking expression and glaring eyes are lovely…! ♥︎

Tanu-Luka

Lovely round ears for a cute Tanuki Luka!

I also love that three-shaped mouth! (´□｀｡)

Doggy-Rin

Her large white ribbon still included! ★

Rin’s expression looks all proud like she has accomplished something!

Doggy-Len

Even as a doggy Len’s hair is sticking up on his head!

The little blushes on their cheeks is also so adorable! ♪

Cat-KAITO

KAITO’s sleepy face makes me wish I could pet him forever!

He looks so very defenceless! I am ready to attack…!

Tiger-MEIKO

Tiger MEIKO seems to suit really perfectly!♡

A gentle smile that will brighten up any night spent together with her! (/ω＼)

They’re all so adorable…!

Plus they’re rather small allowing you to carry them on items with you all over the place, or just play with them on your desk when you need a little break!

To give you a better idea of the size, they are each about 30mm in length… but this does vary between characters!

Just like the memo stand figures, the charms also feature an extra little detail on the bottom!

That plump, fluffy looking appearance is so adorable! While I have been calling them fluffy over and over again, remember that they are actually made from PVC! They’re not really fluffy at all!! (I checked! Lots of times!!)

Today’s Touken Ranbu Round-Up!

Whenever I had a sports day at school my lunch would always be inari-zushi! Now whenever I eat inari-zushi my body feels all powered up and ready to do anything! Plus they’re delicious!

– 1/8th Scale Figure Kogitsunemaru –

My name may mean ‘small fox’, but I’m by no means small.

From the popular browser game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Kogitsunemaru, the great sword. He has been faithfully sculpted based on the pose he takes when you receive him in the game, with his long, flowing hair carefully detailed to ensure that he can be proud of his beautiful ‘fur’.
His outfit opened out at the chest to reveal his impressive muscles has also been intricately sculpted down to the finest of details, and the his back which was never even visible on the original illustration is also filled with charm for fans to enjoy! Be sure to add the powerful Kogitsunemaru to your collection!

I borrowed him from Akane-Eiseihei so I could grab a few photos of my own…!

I think I’ll do a full review at a later stage, but until then enjoy some of the photos!

Nendoroid Kogitsunemaru

Thanks to everyone who tuned in for the live broadcast!
Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Kogitsunemaru!

From the popular browser game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a Nendoroid of Kogitsunemaru! He comes with three expressions including a charming standard expression, an aggressive combat expression and a refreshing smile based on his lines from the game.

As with the previous characters from the series, his sword is included and can be displayed both sheathed and drawn plus the game’s fox navigator ‘Konnosuke’ is also included to display beside him or other characters! Be sure to add him to your collection!

The great sword made by Sanjou Munechika, Kogitsunemaru is joining the Nendoroids!

The figure has moved from planning to prototype to being painted… and now he is already ready to go up for preorders! The GSC team has been working hard to get everything ready to have the Max Factory’s scale and Nendoroid up for preorder at the same time!

The Nendoroid is amazingly detailed – from the open shoulder showing off his muscles to the small accessories. Each and every detail has been carefully sculpted and painted! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

The soft appearance of his kimono in contrast to the hard, manly look of his muscles makes for a lovely sight! Don’t you just want to run your finger down his chest!

This is how he looks from the back!

His long, soft hair is flowing gently behind him!

Most of his back is covered up by his magnificent ‘fur’, but even the areas that are blocked have been beautifully sculpted for fans to peek at! Plus even the little accessories on his sword have been carefully added to the design! (σ・∀・)σ

△ The final version will also feature this golden paintwork!

Plus the sword can also be displayed removed from its scabbard using alternate parts! <○><○>

“Alright… Let’s dance.”

It’s perfect! Just perfect!!

Just look at that confident smile on his face! (´□｀｡)

The fact that his mouth isn’t symmetrical somehow makes it look like a more vigorous expression! Perfect for combat scenes!

The difference between his standard expression and this one is amazing!!

The fact that you can enjoy different sides of a character by swapping out the expressions is definitely one of my best things about the Nendoroid series! I’m sure we have a lot of collectors who are new to Nendoroids since the Touken Ranbu series started – be sure to play around with the expressions… it’s so much fun!! ♪

With that said, let’s take a look at Kogitsunemaru’s third expression…

An exhilarated expression!

This expression was based on his “how exhilarating!” line from the game ♪

Looking at how defenceless he suddenly looks with this expression makes me feel rather strange! He’s just so cute!!

Taking a look from an upper angle like this one gives a nice look at his outfit too! Note how the accessory attached to his sleeve is blowing about behind him adding a slightly dynamic feeling to the Nendoroid! Even the smallest things have been so carefully thought out! Kogitsunemaru is known to be a ‘big’ character, but he shrunk down into Nendoroid size really well!

Even the tied up bit of hair at the end is even articulated!

(°Д°；≡°Д°；)!?!?

S-Something is wagging it’s tail beside him!!

This is Konnosuke! The Touken Ranbu navigator character that guides new players through the tutorial and more!

This tiny little fox is so absolutely adorable!
Both his tail and his neck are fitted with ball joints! (*´Д｀)=з

His back paws are posed as if about to make a step forward, definitely adding to the cute effect! ♪

As they’re both ‘foxes’, the two of them look great posed together… so we decided to include him as an optional part! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

It’s like he is bending down to pet him!! I could stare at this scene forever!!

They both have such beautiful hair as well! Here is a closer look of Kogitsunemaru’s from above!☆

You can see the multiple layers of hair that capture his unique hairstyle!

In fact, I think these hair parts might be one the most detailed yet… but enough about his hair… I’m sure many of you have also taken note of the base he is standing on! Just like the other Touken Nendoroids, he comes with a round base featuring his crest!

A similar base is included with both Nendoroid Mikazuki Munechika and Nendoroid Kashuu Kiyomitsu! (σ・∀・)σ

Finally!

It’s a pose that makes him look like he is challenging someone! This is the image I picture when I hear his line, “Alright… let’s dance”!

figma Eli Ayase

My birthday is just one day away from Elichi’s! However I like dried plums…!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

figma Eli Ayase! ♡

From the anime series ‘LoveLive!’ comes a figma of the character who keeps things in order in the μ’s group, Eli Ayase!

· Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
· Three expressions are included: A gentle smile, a slightly mischievous wink as well as an embarrassed expression!
· Optional parts include her school bag and the very memorable hamburger from the series.
· Just like the previously announced figma Honoka Kosaka, she also comes with two glow sticks of her image color.
· An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

The smart, athletic student council president and μ’s member with an amazing body to boot! Now joining the figma series! She is the second μ’s member to join the series following on from figma Honoka Kosaka! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Max Factory announced all nine members will be joining the series, so the others are also on the way!

Honoka-chan, Elichi… who will be next…?!

By the way, the figma series features each of the characters wearing their Otonokizaka Academy Summer uniforms! This allows you to recreate all sorts of fun scenes from the show as well as create your own everyday scenes! (σ・∀・)σ

Optional parts include her school bag so you can pose her on the way to school! ♥︎

She also comes with a lovely winking expression that suits her so very well! I also really love the way the creases on her outfit look, as well as the fluttering look of her skirt! I can tell a lot of effort has gone into the sculpt of this uniform!

The more intricate details around her hips are amazing!

A white vest may be simple, but nobody can deny that it looks great! Anyway, I showed the school bag above but she also comes with various other optional parts! <○><○>

– Hamburger –

The delicious fast food meal! A hamburger is included!

This allows you to recreate a certain memorable scene from the series that most fans should remember! (σ・∀・)σ

Combined with the included embarrassed expression, it creates a scene where she just noticed you watching her eat! The expression even kind of looks like she is chewing when used in a pose like this! ♡

Other parts are also included to create all sorts of different situations!

– Glow Sticks –

These were also included with Honoka-chan! ★

Each character comes with glow sticks of their own image color, which means that Elichi comes with light blue glow sticks! The glow sticks have a diameter of about 3mm which easily allows other figmas to hold them as well! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

You can give them to some other characters to have them cheer on for a μ’s performance!

Even left and right hand parts in a fox shape are included! What does the fox say?! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Clenched hands, peace hands and hands for dance scenes… so many hands are included for all sorts of possibilities! ♪

Nendoroid Akari Hizamaru

I have to say I don’t have a very open heart toward mosquitos… they chomp on me every year forcing me to constantly apply cream to avoid itching! ٩(๑`н´๑)۶

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Akari Hizamaru!

From the popular manga ‘TERRAFORMARS’, comes a fully articulated Nendoroid of the Annex I Party Squad 2 Member – Akari Hizamaru. He comes with three expressions including one standard expression and two in his transformed form – one rampaging expression and one with a glaring look.

Optional parts include the injector he uses to transform, as well as the Marcos’ ‘Arachne Buster Mk. II’ weapon. The Nendoroid is also fully articulated allowing for all sorts of different action scenes from the series!

Even Michelle accepted him as a good guy!
Akari Hizamaru is joining the Nendoroids!

Not only that, but he is also a fully articulated Nendoroid allowing for all sorts of action poses that can really bring out the TERRAFORMARS atmosphere! (´□｀｡)

His outfit has also been faithfully included and even featured glossy parts to recreate the metallic look from the series! As usual, even as a Nendoroid the detail is quite astounding!! The little glimpse of his thighs here also shows one more blue metallic area!

The long coat is separated into three parts all of which are connected with a ball joint allowing them to be moved to fit almost any pose without too much effort! Even a simple standing pose with a slight gust of wind blowing across the coat can be made for a simple, yet fun pose!

This rather special item is also included!

An injector!

This was used in the series to transform him!
Let’s see what happens when it is used on the Nendoroid…

△ The end actually looks quite sharp!! Ouch!!

“Don’t underestimate Earth!!”

He comes with alternate parts to pose him in his transformed state!!

The antennae parts connect into small little holes that are found on his hair. The alternate expression part also has the patterns on his cheeks and eyes! (σ・∀・)σ

I can’t help but want to pose him fighting now!!

△ figma Terraformar arrives for a battle!

Hmm? What’s that red glow on the right side of the photo?! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ！

I’m sure fans of the series will already know what this is!

Arachne Buster Mk. II is included! (σ・∀・)σ

As you can tell from the naming this is Marcos’ weapon, but this allows you to recreate that famous scene from the series! ☆

I can just hear Marcos’ voice playing through my head, “Don’t you dare look cooler than me when you use it!”

Plus he also comes with a third expression which works together with the weapon perfectly!

A rampaging expression!!

I don’t think I’d want to be close by when he is like this… I’m not too sure he would be able to tell friend from foe in this state! As you can see, Arachne Buster Mk. II can also be separated into two parts so he can dual wield like above!

Winter Sports in Hokkaido!

This theme allowed for some really original ideas and some lovely designs to come though! We also once again had a separate contest for Snow Miku’s good friend Rabbit Yukine! Tonight we find out which Miku-san will become our Snow Miku for yext uear! I can’t wait! (●´ω｀●)

Yesterday, I posted all the contenders up on my Twitter account! There are a total of four designs for Miku and four designs for Rabbit Yukine to choose from! These were chosen by both Crypton and GSC together… but the final choice between these is in your hands now!! (｀・ω・´)

– 2016 Nendoroid Snow Miku Outfit Candidates-

1: SNOW MIKU 2016 / Saine

My design for the 2016 Snow Miku outfit! I decided on a rather stylish design that would look great with a snowboard or skis!

Her knitted hat has holes on the sides that allow her twintails to pop out! (I picture her snowboard or skis having a piano key pattern!

3: Snow Miku 2016 / Yunii

This was the first color scheme that came to mind for Winter Sports! My friend didn’t seem very convinced though… hopefully I can prove him wrong!

It’s an outfit kind of made in the image of a polar bear but still with a touch of class! The scarf includes gloves at the ends!

04: Snow Miku / Niboshi

A design that anyone will recognize as Snow Miku with one quick look! I took things back to the classics a bit, but with some special new touches. She is wearing short pants allowing her to move about easier in the snow, It’s an outfit that would work great for snowboarding, skiing, skating…. anything!

Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

My favorite donuts are Choco Fashion and French Cruller! Not to mention those chocolate donuts with a coconut topping! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at this figure that went up for preorder today!

Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade!

From ‘Kizumonogatari’ comes a 1/8th scale of the most powerful of the oddities also known as the ‘Oddity Killer’, Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade. The figure is based on one of the key visuals from the anime, featuring Kiss-shot crouched down on her knees in a pose that faithfully preserves the feeling of the original illustration and shows off her lady-like curves as well as the strong determination in her eyes.

Even the areas that were never visible in the original illustration such as the back of her hair have been very intricately sculpted, and the detailed base she sits upon has been made to look like the surface of water to bring out the atmosphere of the series even more. A product that any fan of the series will be proud to own!

The iron-blooded, hot-blooded, cold-blooded vampire: Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade has finally been completed and is ready for orders!!

Just look at her fearless, cunning smile and confident eyes!!

She holds Kokorowatari close with both arms wearing long gloves that give her a very charming appearance! Her characteristic long, blond hair, golden eyes and rather bountiful bosom have also all been carefully sculpted to bring out that charm even more!

Let’s take a closer look at each of them in turn…! (●´ω｀●)

– Hair –

Each of the strands seems to be moving with a mind of their own, giving the hair a powerful dynamic appearance!

The original illustration never showed this part of her hair, so this section has to be thought up during the sculpting! Even from this angle where you can’t even see her expression, there is a certain power to the way she looks that shows just why she is known as the ‘Oddity Killer’! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

– Eyes –

Her clear eyes show off her strong will, but when combined with that smile give her such a cunning appearance… she really looks like she is carefully plotting something!

Personally I think it looks like she’s targeting her next prey…! (´□｀｡)

I kind of get the feeling that I should look away when I meet her eyes… like looking at them is only going to get me into trouble!

– Body –

Side boob…!!!?

I added a question mark there in my excitement!

Just beneath her upper arm is a large bosom that no one could possibly miss, and the outfit shows off quite a lot of bare skin too! The soft, squishy appearance is only backed up by her tight-fitting outfit at her waist and the lovely lady-like body line of her back! ♡

By the way!

The area inside the skirt is hidden for the most part, but if you look close you’ll see she is wearing high-heels inside there! If it was any lighter you’d probably see a little bit more as well… <○><○>

The various little tears in her skirt also allow you to take a few peeks at her thighs and enjoy the meticulous sculpt work that continues even in areas that aren’t easily visible!!

△The frills and red outfit itself really look as if they are made from fabric!

Kiss-shot has so much to enjoy for just one figure!

I-it’s amazing!! The atmosphere is captured so well, and that dark look…

Anyway, I have one more special point to look at!

– Base –

A rather suspiciously colored water surface! (；・`д・´)

If you look close you’ll notice that rocks, her legs and outfit are all actually visibly immersed in the water!

The stand definitely brings out the atmosphere of the series even more, to make a figure that any fan will be proud to own! ♥︎
