A Look at Some of the WonFes Summer 2017 Products: Part 2

ONLY 12 WORKING DAYS TO WONFES!

It might still be three weeks until WonFes, but looking at just the amount of working days left makes you realize how very close that is! There isn’t much time left to prepare!!

Today I’m going to be going the continuation of the Suwabe’s last blog and take a look at some of the items that will be on sale at Wonder Festival 2017 Summer!Today I’ll be focusing on these three items! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

Let’s take a closer look at each of them! ♪

◆ Nendoroid Reimu Hakurei 2.0 ◆

From the popular game series by Team Shanghai Alice, the ‘Touhou Project’ comes an all-new upgraded Nendoroid of Reimu Hakurei! She comes with three face plates including a cheerful standard expression, a more serious expression for combat scenes as well as a cute, relaxed expression.

Reimu comes complete with her prayer rod and charm cards allowing you to pose her in battle scenes from the series, as well as a cup of tea, a donation box and kneeling parts to display her more relaxed side. Enjoy all sorts of different sides of Reimu in your collection!

The priestess of Hakurei Shine is back in an upgraded version!

This time she comes with a large set of optional parts too!

The Japanese-style umbrella can be held in her hand like so! A part of her hair has been specially made removable to make sure the handle doesn’t get in the way of posing! ★

The little gap in her outfit that shows off her belly button has been sculpted with a little billow as if the wind is blowing along it! (・∀・)

The tied-up part of her hair is fitted with a Nendoroid joint allowing you to match the hair up with various different poses!

The inner packaging looks like this! ♪

The yin-yang round base is included as a bonus with purchases of Nendoroid Reimu 2.0 made at events! More details available here!

As you can see she comes with various different face plates to enjoy all sorts of different sides of her personality! Here is a more combat orientated pose! ♡

▲ The charms can be connected to the base like so!

 The figure is also of course Nendoroid No.700 and even the box for the figure has lots of special details to celebrate #700! ε=(｡・д・｡)

In addition, this B2 Tapestry of Reimu Hakurei illustrated by ideolo will also be available at the event, so be sure to consider it too! ☆

◆ Nendoroid Yuri Katsuki: Free Skating Ver. ◆

From the popular anime series ‘YURI!!! on ICE’ comes a figure of Japan’s figure skating athlete Yuri Katsuki wearing his free skating “Yuri on Ice” outfit from the series! He comes with two face plates including a standard gentle expression as well as a charming smile.

Yuri has fully articulated arm parts, and the iconic stuffed toy shaped like a rice ball that was thrown down into the rink is also included to help you fully reproduce his skating performance in Nendoroid size! He also comes with new arm parts for use on Nendoroid Victor Nikiforov as well as a Makkachin tissue box case! If you pose the two of them together you can even have them posed as if in the kiss and cry area waiting for results! Enjoy the master and student in your collection!

“I’ll skate even better than Victor imagines!”

The glittery appearance of his outfit and the wonderful blend of colors have all been captured on the Nendoroid beautifully! ♪

This package is also rather special with snowflakes with a special print all over the design! (*´ω｀*)

Accessories are as you can see below! He also comes with a special part for use together with Nendoroid Victor Nikiforov!

Along with the gentle standard smile, he also comes with an cute smile with a slight blush and closed eyes! (´□｀｡)

The riceball-shaped plushie can be held in his hands like so!! So cute!! The Makkachin tissue box case can also be held by making use of the same hand parts! ♥

Another thing to note is that there is actually a tissue coming out of the Makkachin tissue box case!

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get my hands on a Nendoroid Victor for this blog, but he will be on sale later next month, so be sure to display him with the tissue box too!! You can find a photo of this over on the GSC product page here!

 

◆ Wonda-chan Next Door Project FILE04: DANGERDROP Ver. ◆

The ideal WonFes souvenir!

As usual the amount of detail on the little figure is absolutely stunning! Just look at the intricate high-pressure water cannon! ★

For anyone unfamiliar with the Wonda-chan NEXT DOOR Project, here is a quick summary of the project!

The illustrations of Wonda-chan used on the official WonFes guidebook are always done by a different illustrator for each event, and for the past few events a ‘NEXT DOOR’ Wonda-chan illustration – a second illustration that is done by an up-and-coming illustrator – has been done together with the main Wonda-chan! This secondary Wonda-chan is then made into a figure, creating the perfect souvenir for each Wonder Festival event! Good Smile Company takes part as the manufacturer for the figure!

A Look at Some of the WonFes Summer 2017 Products!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at some of the items that will be on sale at WonFes!

Nendoroid Kirito & Asuna: O.S Ver.

From ‘Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale’ comes a set of Nendoroids of the main characters Kirito and Asuna in their new outfits from the movie! The AR-type information terminal “Augma” that plays an important role in the movie is included on both of them, and Kirito’s sword and Asuna’s rapier are also included. Enjoy their close bond and powerful combination in Nendoroid size!

*This product will only be available at events. It will not be on sale at the GOODSMILE ONLINE SHOP.
*Standard sales of these products as individual characters are planned in the future, but the specifications will differ to this set version.

Box Open! Blister Out!

This particular set features both Kirito and Asuna together in a special set based on their outfits from the Sword Art Online movie! Optional parts are relatively simple just with their swords, but the price has also been kept nice and reasonable! ♪

The bases are also rather unique Ordinal Scale round bases!

▲ Different sized stands are also included to make sure posing is nice and easy!

They can be posed in the signature pose from the front of the box…

▲ We’re already all the way to Nendoroid #750! Time flies by!

Or instead posed with their swords at the ready!

Even with the same face plate the change in pose can make for quite a different impression! (*´ω`*)

One important thing to note is that this product is event exclusive! It will not be available from the ONLINE SHOP or our partner shops! Be sure to pick it up at WonFes if you want them!

Nendoroid More: Dress Up Wedding – Elegant Ver.

‘Nendoroid More’ is a series of products created to make Nendoroids even more enjoyable, and this second set of wedding outfits to join the Nendoroid More Dress Up series is sure to bring all sorts of happy memories to your Nendoroids!

The set includes four different dresses: Rich Gold and Cheerful Yellow standard wedding dresses, as well as Baroque Green and Gothic Black princess style wedding dresses. There are also Rich Gold, Traditional Navy, Baroque Green & Gothic Black tuxedos for use with male Nendoroids, creating a total of eight different types to collect!

Wonda-chan Next Door Project FILE03: Kamogawa ver.

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Wonda-chan Next Door Project FILE03: Kamogawa ver.!

The third in the Wonda-chan NEXT DOOR Project Figure Series!

The series was created as the perfect item to bring home as a souvenir from the Wonder Festival Event Hall!! The series started two events ago and has had a new addition each time the event comes around! ★

The sporty backpack, cute and colorful hair and all the other details from the original illustration – and the details that could never be seen on the illustration – have all been faithfully included on the figure!ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

▲The backpack looks rather heavy! I wonder what she keeps in there!

Her lovely blue eyes, slightly open mouth and boldly open outfit…. the figure has an innocent charm combined with a sexy pose that not really captures the charm of the original illustration!

While she has a very slender build, there is also something about the sculpting that makes her skin seem so very touchable! The more I look at her the more she grabs my attention!! (੭ ˃̣̣̥ ω˂̣̣̥)੭ु⁾⁾

This should give you a better idea for the size!

▲ She is about the same height as an iPhone6S! Around 127mm!

But what exactly is the Wonda-chan NEXT DOOR Project? ☆

The illustrator for this WonFes’s ‘NEXT DOOR’ Wonda-chan is Kamogawa!

The illustration has such a cute yet somewhat compelling effect to it! This is what I call art!!

The sculptor for the figure is Iwanaga Sakurako (Shokubutu Shojo-en)!

The creases in her outfit, the flow of her hair and the details on all the little accessories as well as her outfit have all been sculpted so intricately! The details of her body around the joining of her hips and that amazing belly button all come together to show off the work of a truly incredible sculptor!

You may have heard the name in the past on some other amazing figures such as Hatsune Miku: Deep Sea Girl ver., Aircraft Carrier Wo-Class or Satsuki Kiryuin: Senketsu Ver.!

Simply put, this year’s Wonda-chan has been sculpted by a professional with years of experience!! I hope everyone will enjoy adding her to their collection! ε=(｡・д・｡)

▲ It’s nice to look at at all, but I also recommend touching!!

The packaging is similar to previous Wonda-chan releases!


▲ The box features both the original illustration and figure photo!

The inner blister packaging is made like this allowing you to simply open up the box and put her on display nearly instantly!

▲ No parts to connect or put together! ♪

The base of the figure is the same as all the previous NEXT DOOR Project figures, featuring the Wonder Festival logo for her specific event!

▲ The figure doesn’t have any tabs to connect to the base, simply place her on top!

Be sure to pick her up as your souvenir for WonFes!

Wonhobby 24 ORANGE ROUGE Booth & Gokotai!

Hello everyone!  Chan-Shuu (@gscs_hirase) from the GSC Planning team here! Recently been walking two of the stations to work thanks to a certain game that involves throwing red and white balls…

Anyway, today I’m going to start off by saying a big thanks to everyone who came to visit the WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!!24 booth during last weekend’s Wonder Festival! So many people stopped by to enjoy the exhibits, sales and stage! It was such a pleasure to watch everyone enjoying themselves!!

Today I’m going to be sharing some photos the the new ORANGE ROUGE figures that were on display at the event!

As you can see there were so many people lining up to see the figures and take photos despite the heat!! A big thank you once again to everyone once again! m(_ _)m

The event had announcements of unpainted and painted prototypes as well as just illustrations of upcoming projects! There were a lot of them so let’s take a look!

△ I’m sure some fans were surprised about this rather sudden announcement! Currently still in the works so no photos just yet, but there will hopefully be some soon!!


Last but not least, let me take a quick look at this figure which was on display and is now already up for preorder!! 
▼ 1/8th Scale Gokotai!

From the popular browser and smartphone game ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Gokotai based on his standard standing pose from the game.

The slim figure you would expect from a short sword, the fluttering collar and long sleeves of his outfit and his gentle, cheerful expression have all been captured perfectly for fans to enjoy from any angle they please. The figure also comes complete with five little tigers each with unique patterns, poses and beautiful eyes to display around him. Be sure to add him to your collection!

The very first ORANGE ROUGE scale figure of a ‘Tantou’ short sword. His petite build, the tiger popping out from the back of his head and another four tigers running around at his feet make for a figure filled with highlights from both a sculpt and paintwork perspectives!

▲His charming teeth look great on the figure! So cute!

The characteristic coloring of his eyes, his soft looking hair and his silky white skin have all been beautifully included on the figure! Also take a look at the eyes of the tigers! They are such beautiful colors and so shiny and lively!!  (＾ω＾＊)

▲ The dark outfit contrasts with his pale skin very nicely!

The emblem on the back of his outfit with it’s shiny gold appearance also adds a nice accent to the overall design! The long sleeves cover up a large amount of his hands but the dainty fingers coming out the ends are so very intricate!!

▲ The long legs that come out from his short pants are so thin and yet still keep a lovely symmetry with a beautiful sculpt. The sculpting of his loafer shoes is also amazing!

But really… as if Gokotai wasn’t cute enough on his own, these tigers are absolutely adorable!! They can all be placed wherever you like as they are not held in place by anything!

Four Working Days Until WonFes!

With Monday being a public holiday here in Japan there isn’t much time left until the big event!! I’m already nervous!!

That said, it’s a day full of new announcements and fun to be had for figure fans all around the world so I’m also very much looking forward to it! There are even a few items that I planned that I’m looking forward to revealing for everyone!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at some of the products that are going to be on sale over at out booth at the 2016 Summer Wonder Festival!

Nendoroid Saber/Altria Pendragon


Price:  ¥5,000

From the popular smartphone game ‘Fate/Grand Order’ comes a Nendoroid of Saber/Altria Pendragon as a commemoration product to both Good Smile Company’s 15th anniversary and the Nendoroid series’ 10th anniversary! She comes with four expressions including her gallant standard expression, a shouting expression for combat scenes, a gentle smiling expression as well as a chibi expression reminiscent of the previously released ‘Nendoroid Lazy Saber: Limited Ver.’.

She also comes with both the cape and crown that she wears after her ‘Ascension’, which can be attached and removed whenever you wish. Excalibur, Caliburn as well as Invisible Air are also all included as optional parts to recreate various different scenes. Be sure to add the second coming of Saber to your collection!

Nendoroid Jumbo Hatsune Miku

As a part of the Good Smile Company 15th anniversary and Nendoroid 10th anniversary celebrations, the popular ‘Nendoroid Hatsune Miku’ is coming back in jumbo size – standing approximately 27cm in height!

The giant Nendoroid has all the features various interchangeable face plates and can take all sorts of poses just like its smaller counterpart! Even though it is much bigger, the unique form and cute expressions of the Nendoroid have been faithfully preserved creating the perfect anniversary item to celebrate the Nendoroid 10th Anniversary!!

A huge Nendoroid Hatsune Miku just asking to be hugged! ♡

This Miku Nendoroid is Approximately 275mm Tall! ♥︎

As I’m sure you could tell from the photo above she also comes in a giant box with a giant blister package!!

Although she is much larger, the moments and poses that she can take are all exactly the same as any smaller Nendoroid! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Displayed together with a normal Nendoroid gives you a good feeling for just how much bigger the Jumbo Nendoroid is!

You can also tell how big it is by the fact that…

You can fit a person’s head inside the box!!

By the way, I tried doing this myself as well and I have to say that it was a rather unique experience! If you pick up Miku be sure to give being a figure in a box a try!

Nendoroid Mega Man: Metal Blade Ver.

From the popular ‘Mega Man’ series comes a Nendoroid of Mega Man once he has defeated Metal Man and taken the ‘Metal Blade’ power! Optional parts include the powerful ‘Metal Blade’ special weapon in both a small and large size, allowing you to pose Megaman both holding the blade at the ready as well as have it flying through the air as if it had just been thrown!

He comes with the same standard expression and damaged expression from the previous Nendoroid Mega Man, as well as a slightly different expression with clenched teeth. He also comes with various other optional parts to help you recreate and enjoy all sorts of different scenes!

Ceratanium saw blades for the ultimate cutting ability!

One of the items that has already been on sale at the recent Anime Expo 2016 event held in America! WonFes will be the first sales in Japan! (⌯¤̴̶̷̀ω¤̴̶̷́)✧

He comes with both small and large metal blades, bent leg parts and even an E-Tank for all sorts of scenes from the game! ♪

Osomatsu-san Mini-Figures: Overall Ver.

From the popular anime series ‘Osomatsu-san’ comes a series of miniature figures featuring the six Matsuno brothers wearing colorful overalls! The set includes Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu and Todomatsu all wearing their overalls in cute different ways! Jyushimatsu also includes a traffic cone to wear on his head!

In addition two post cards are also included which can be used as backgrounds for the figures using the included card stands! Enjoy the unique traits of each of the brothers as cute mini figures!

From the anime series ‘Sword Art Online II’ comes a figma of Yuuki, the ‘Absolute Sword’!

  • Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
  • A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
  • She comes with three expressions including a smiling expression, a shouting expression and an innocent smiling expression.
  • Optional parts include Yuuki’s one-handed sword, a scroll of the OSS Skill she gave to Asuna as well as articulated wings.
  • She also comes with holding hand parts which can be used together with the previously released figma Asuna: ALO ver.
  • An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

The WonHobby Site is Open!!☆

As I’m sure many have already noticed, today was the Good Smile Company and Max Factory booth website for the Winter Wonder Festival 2016 has opened!

The first update to the site only includes a small portion of what you can expect to see at the event, starting with some of the products that will be on sale at the event! Let’s take a closer look at each item!! (σ・∀・)σ

– Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Owl Ver. –


Price:  ¥5,500 / Number Available at Event: 3,000 / Max. 2 Per Person

Snow Miku has reached its 7th anniversary this year, and once again this year’s design from piapro was decided by fans during a NicoNico Live Broadcast, and has been transformed into a Nendoroid! The theme this year was ‘Winter Sports’, and the winning design was this active, playful design illustrated by Kotatsu Otogi!

The Nendoroid includes three expressions including an energetic smiling expression, a playful giggling expression and a chibi expression with tightly shut eyes. The knitted hat made in the image of an owl has been included with the figure as an actual Nendoroid-size knitted hat. She also comes with a variety of sporty goods including a snowboard, skis with ski poles and goggles! A scarf as well as snowball fight parts are also included to ensure that Miku has a great time in the snow!

An alternate body part connected to the skis is also included to display her in action, and a special snowy white base with blue snowflakes is also included to bring out the Winter atmosphere! Rabbit Yukine is included once again with his very own pair of goggles and a cute rabbit-eared hat! Be sure to add her to your collection and enjoy playing in the Winter with this year’s Snow Miku!

*Please note that each hat is carefully hand-knitted to ensure it is nice and warm, but this means that each hat will differ slightly in shape. Additionally, the wooden buttons on the hat are made from natural wood which means each button will have a slightly different texture.

– figma Vehicles: Panzer IV Ausf. D “H-Spec” –

From the popular anime series Girls und Panzer comes a 1/12th scale figure of the Ankou Team’s tank, the Panzer IV Ausf. D upgraded into to its H-Spec – also known as the Mk.IV Special! The tank is fully assembled and also comes equipped with twin motors allowing it to drive it forward! The model is based on the latest 3DCG data used in the Girls und Panzer movie, ensuring the proportions and details are all faithfully included.

The turret can be rotated and the main battery can be moved up and down allowing the tank to take careful aim. Various hatches around the tank can also be manually opened and closed. You can even easily display figma Miho Nishizumi and the other members of the Ankou Team riding inside the tank!

Girls und Panzer is awesome!

The tank also has motors to keep that ‘toy’ like feel while also including all the details that Max Factory is known for!

Nendoroid & figma Snow Miku: Snow Owl Ver.: Preview

It’s finally that time of the year again!

Time For Snow Miku-san!

The 2016 theme for Snow Miku was ‘Hokkaido Winter Sports‘, and the final choice for both the Nendoroid and figma versions of 2016’s Snow Miku was made by Kotatsu Otogi-san! ♥︎

The design for Rabbit Yukine was also by  Kotatsu Otogi!★

The winning design was decided during a live broadcast on the 22nd May 2015, where all the fans were able to voice their choice on which design should become Snow Miku 2016! Once again thanks to everyone who submitted designs as well as to everyone who took part in the selection process!!

The design this time was rather different due to the theme! How have the figure versions come out?! 

Let’s take a look at the Nendoroid first! Sculpted by Good Smile Company’s Kataharaitashi!! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Owl Ver.

Snow Miku has reached its 7th anniversary this year, and once again this year’s design from piapro was decided by fans during a NicoNico Live Broadcast, and has been transformed into a Nendoroid! The theme this year was ‘Winter Sports’, and the winning design was this active, playful design illustrated by Kotatsu Otogi!

The knitted hat made in the image of an owl has been included with the figure as an actual Nendoroid-size knitted hat. She also comes with a variety of sporty goods including a snowboard, skiis with skii poles and goggles!

Rabbit Yukine is included once again also with a pair of goggles and a cute rabbit-eared hat! An alternate body part connected to the skiis is also included to display her in action, and a few other parts related to Winter sports are also included! Be sure to add her to your collection and enjoy playing in the Winter with this year’s Snow Miku!

I want to go out and play with her in the snow!!

The Sporty Miku-san surrounded with all sorts of Winter sporting goods!

I can’t wait to take her out into the snow and enjoy a Winter date with her!! But perhaps the item that catches the eye the most is the knitted hat – not a hat made from PVC but one made from actual fabric in Nendoroid size!!! It looks so nice and warm! Yukine’s hat isn’t made from fabric, but it also looks nice and warm and fluffy!ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

This is the alternate body that allows you to display her skiing together with Rabbit Yukine!! (●´ω｀●)

 

In addition to the Nendoroid, Max Factory will also be releasing a figma version!

I can just imagine jumping around with them on the snow!

Just looking at that playful expression on her face makes me feel all excited! A taller version of this Miku sakes her look even more sporty than the Nendoroid version!

The figma also comes with skiis and various other Winter sports goods to enjoy in the snow!!

Her twintails this time around have a very dynamic appearance from the start, but seen she is perfect for action poses they are also fitted with joints that allow for more active poses like this! ₍₍ (ง ˙ω˙)ว ⁾⁾

As mentioned on Hamako’s Twitter, these two items are currently on display inside the Snow Miku Street Car in Hokkaido! ♥︎

Just like last year I asked for some photos from Hokkaido and Hamako sent them through!! Let’s take a look at this year’s Snow Car!! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

This year the design features not only photos of the Nendoroid and figma, but also the main visual illustration done by Mame no Moto! I know that I for one would get rather exciting seeing this driving around the city!!!

While the main colors of white and light blue keep that Winter feeling, the colorful snow flake patterns give it a really eye-catching design!! ☆

Then as if the cute street car wasn’t enough, these two figures were on display inside!!

She is looking as cute as ever this year!! I can’t wait to see her in action!! ♥︎

Snow Miku Dayo-!

Nendoroid Snow Miku-san has finally been seen in her full size!!

She even managed to get her hands on a Nendoroid Snow Miku Dayo- which is scheduled to release next month!!

△ So… intense!!

I can’t wait to meet her in person!!

I’m sure she will come down to Tokyo at some stage for me to say hello!! (/ω＼)

This streetcar will be running in Hokkaido from the 22nd November 2015 until the 27th March 2016! ♪

As before, all the announcements in the train will also be switched to Miku’s voice actor, Saki Fujita-san! ♡

Please note the figures were only on display for one day, not while the train is running!

Anyway, let’s get on to how to purchase these figures!
