Today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: V4 CHINESE!★

A Nendoroid of Hatsune Miku: V4 CHINESE – the Chinese version of Hatsune Miku known for her silvery and cute voice! The adorable design created by illustrator mamenomoto has been shrunk down to Nendoroid size ensuring she looks as adorable as possible! She comes with three face plates including a standard expression, a smiling expression and a playful expression with her tongue sticking out!

She also comes with a selection of optional parts that allow you to pose her singing, as well as a writing brush to cheer you on as you produce songs as well as a steaming basket and peach bun for some more playful poses. In addition, she also comes with an musical note hair part which can be attached for some more eye-catching poses! Enjoy the somewhat different Chinese version of Miku in your Nendoroid collection!

Hatsune Miku: V4 CHINESE has been transformed into a Nendoroid!!

The iconic details that separate her from the standard Hatsune Miku have all been captured with great care, including the twirly twin-tailed hair from the Chinese version illustration!

The smaller detail changes on her sleeves and boots that have a slightly Chinese style to them have also been included on the design! ♪

In addition, the round ring-like hair accessories and braided parts of her hair have also all been faithfully preserved on the Nendoroid design!

She comes with a total of three face plates! The first is her standard expression which you can see in the above photos, and her second is this lovely cheerful smile!

Moving onto her third face plate, we have this adorable playful face!

The sticking out tongue, the >< eyes make for a playful expression that contrasts with the mature air of her smiling expression for a very different atmosphere! ε-(o´ω｀o)

She also comes with a steaming basket and peach bun as optional parts!

▲ The texture of the basket and coloring of the bun are lovely!

But that’s not all, these parts are also included!

A musical-note shaped hair part that can connect into her hair is also included!

Nendoroid More LoveLive!Sunshine!! Dress Up World Image Girls Vol.2!★

From the anime series “LoveLive!Sunshine!!” comes a brand new addition to the Nendoroid More Dress Up series – each of the Aqours members were selected by fans to be a representative of various counties, and the outfits they were wearing for this project that represent the various countries around the world have now been shrunk down to Nendoroid size!

The second volume in the series includes the Dutch outfit worn by Riko Sakurauchi, the Chinese outfit worn by You Watanabe, the Thai outfit worn by Hanamaru Kunikida and an American outfit worn by Mari Ohara. In addition, the set includes a “World Tour” set which includes a selection of items perfect for going on a trip around the world, and also includes hat parts for Mari and Kanan to use to complete their outfits. Be sure to display them with their respective Nendoroids!

Uzuki Shimamura: HOT LIMIT Ver.!★

The second of the HOT LIMIT Anniversary Collaboration Figures to celebrate the 20th anniversary of T.M.Revolution’s debut is Uzuki Shimamura from THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS, a series which has just celebrated its 6th anniversary! The figure is based on the illustration by Annin Doufu that was included in Takanori Nishikawa’s book distributed at Comic Market.

The figure features Uzuki with her hair ribbon in hand and her boots removed and placed by her side in a pose that tells a complete story! It’s a rather different look compared to her standard idol outfits, so be sure to add the HOT LIMIT “bare-footed” Uzuki to your collection!

Even in such a bold outfit, Uzuki’s dazzling smile is just as adorable as ever, creating a lovely mix of both cute and sexy for fans to enjoy!! You’re so cute, Shimamu!!!

Note that the iconic curls at the ends of her hair make use of semi-see-through parts which gives her hair a more translucent look as it flows around her!

▲The details of  her hair are really impressive!

Note all the details on her outfit as well! Even though it is a rather simple, black outfit the creases all over the design show just how tight fitting it is! ★

The way the bare skin seems to pop out in each of the gaps makes her look so very touchable as well! The whole body looks like it would be so smooth and soft to the touch!!

▲The curves of her hips and even the back of her knees are amazing! ( ･ㅂ･)و ̑̑

Let’s take a closer look at her hands! ♪

If you look close you’ll even notice her nails are painted with a very light pink that has a slight shine to it as well!ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

In her hand she holds her hair ribbon, and you can see the way her fingers have been sculpted to capture just the right amount of force as she loosely hold the ribbon!

Plus if we look at the boots at her feet!

The soles even have a starry design!

Even the boots which she isn’t even wearing have been sculpted and painted with such intricate detail! Be sure to take a nice close if you choose to pick her up!! ♪

Rem: Birthday Cake Ver. (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-)

I want to go to one of those stores that specializes in fresh cream goods! On a related note I hear there are even some stores the specialize in only candy apples!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at the 1/7th scale…
Rem: Birthday Cake Ver.!♡

The first figure to join the collaboration project between KADOKAWA and Good Smile Company! From the popular anime series “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-” comes a 1/7th scale figure of the younger of the twin maids, Rem! The figure is based on an illustration by Daichi Matsuse that was drawn for the “Re:ZERO Starting Rem’s Birthday Life in Shibuya Marui 2017” event.

The light, gentle color scheme of the original illustration has been preserved on the figure while also sculpting her in intricate detail to create a high quality figure that fans will be proud to own. Enjoy Rem’s relaxed appearance wearing a negligee with a lovely smile on her face as she sits by your side, ready to enjoy her birthday!

The first figure to join the collaboration project between KADOKAWA and Good Smile Company! Good Smile Company is in charge of the production and manufacturing! ε-(o´ω｀o)

The pose of the figure is based on an illustration that was done for the Re:ZERO Starting Rem’s Birthday Life in Shibuya Marui 2017 event! The gentle color scheme and Rem’s relaxed appearance as she sits with a smile on her face have been captured as faithfully as possible!

The front part of her hair makes use of translucent parts to capture the see-through look of the illustration as faithfully as possible! The gentle eyes peeking out between the hair are just so adorable!

Also note the rose neck accessory as well as the lovely curves of her shoulders… everything about the figure is so detailed! Even the cake she is holding in front of her has been intricately detailed, with even the flames of the candles flickering about! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

▲ So many berries! It looks so tasty!

The ribbons and frills on her outfit all have such a thin and dainty look about them! The various creases in the fabric based on her pose and body-line have also all been beautifully sculpted onto the figure! (∩・∀・)∩

▲▼ You can see the outfit is quite a tight fit when looking from the back!

While the outfit is mostly white in color, the white if filled with shadows that bring out the shape of Rem’s body and also show just how soft the fabric is!

Also note the lovely squishable look of her thighs… and the ever so slight red where her knees bend!! So much attention to detail!

▲ The figure is of course made from a solid material…
but the way it is sculpted makes it looks so very soft!

Nendoroid Tatara Fujita (Welcome to the Ballroom)

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a Nendoroid that went up for preorder earlier today…
Nendoroid Tatara Fujita!

From the anime series “Welcome to the Ballroom” comes a Nendoroid of the main character Tatara Fujita who starts ballroom dancing in order to change himself. He comes with three face plates including a standard face perfect for posing him dancing, a worried expression as well as a smiling face with closed eyes.

You can easily pose him in all sorts of dancing scenes, and he also comes with a towel to pose him taking a break after a dance contest. Be sure to add the clumsy yet determined Tatara to your collection!

From the popular anime series based around the world of Ballroom Dancing, “Welcome to the Ballroom” comes a Nendoroid of  Tatara Fujita!

His unkempt hairstyle and contrasting neat outfit have all been converted into Nendoroid size!

▲ The buttons have a glossy finish for that extra bit of detail! ♥

You can easily pose the Nendoroid sitting down with a towel to his mouth after a long dancing session! The jacket also comes with alternate parts that allow it to trail behind him when he is placed in this sitting pose! ♪

Moving on to his third expression, we have a lovely cheerful smiling face with closed eyes!

The same smile had in the series after his dancing contest!

Depending on the pose and angle you look from, it also can be used as a bit of a bashful smile too! Simply mix and match to create various different situations! (っ’ω’)っ))

Nendoroid Yuri Katsuki: Casual Ver. (YURI!!! on ICE)

I always bring a backpack with me to work! The other day someone told me I looked like I was going mountain climbing!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Yuri Katsuki: Casual Ver.!

From the popular anime series “YURI!!! on ICE” comes a Nendoroid of Yuri Katsuki wearing a casual outfit! He comes with two face plates including the blank expression he sometimes showed in the series, as well as a drunk expression!

Optional parts include his glasses, a scarf, a backpack and an alternate head part wearing a hat! In addition, he also comes with a bottle of sake which is perfect to display together with the drunk expression and recreate the famous scene from the series! Enjoy the more casual side of Yuri’s life with this casual Nendoroid!

“My name is Yuri Katsuki!”

From the anime series “YURI!!! on ICE” comes a new Nendoroid of Yuri Katsuki, this time wearing a much more casual outfit!! ★

He looks so nice and warm wearing his scarf, beanie and jacket! The rounded backpack has also been included which all come together to capture his casual appearance perfectly in adorable Nendoroid form!

*The stand connecting to the backpack is provisional!

You can of course remove the backpack, scarf, his glasses…

…and even the hat!

You can even enjoy Yuri in his causal outfit without the glasses or hat!

In addition, he also comes with this as an optional part!

The “Invitation to the Underworld” bottle of shochu from the series! Plus he also comes with another face plate that works perfectly with the alcohol –  a drunk expression!

In the past when I reviewed Nendoroid Yuri Katsuki: Free Skating Ver. on the blog I remember writing that you could easily mistake him for an angel… this time around I don’t think there are any words to describe how adorable he is!! Just look at him!! 

▲ The absolute bliss on his face makes any pose look adorable!

The previous expression with an open mouth and slight blush definitely captures Yuri’s pure and innocent side, but this drunk expression captures another part of him so perfectly!

From the popular browser game “Kantai Collection -KanColle-” comes a Nendoroid of the upgraded form of the first Kongo-class battleship’s upgraded form – Kongo Kai-II! She comes with three face plates including her standard expression, a winking face as well as a doubtful expression.

The ship parts that that kind of bend around her have also been faithfully shrunk into Nendoroid size! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

This time around the end part of the ship parts features a drawer joint so that it can be deployed further out, allowing for various different posing options!

Before and after it has been deployed outward it can also move to the left and right allowing for a huge amount of customization! ♪

The shield part and center part of both the left and right sides also feature a double joint that allow the part to be moved vertically and horizontally! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

She also comes with a doubtful expression that suits the above line so nicely! She looks a little unsure, with that open mouth looking so cute!

Phosphophyllite (Land of the Lustrous)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the 1/8th scale…
Phosphophyllite!

From the popular manga series currently being serialized in Monthly Afternoon magazine, “Land of the Lustrous” comes a 1/8th scale figure of the main character, Phosphophyllite! The figure has been sculpted by Shokubutu Shojo-en’s Iwanaga Sakurako, who has created a figure that captures Phos’ beauty in a work of art.

The figure makes use of a large amount of translucency in order to capture Phos’ jewel-like appearance as faithfully as possible, with the hair making use of a metallic paint that captures the dazzling look in careful detail. Be sure to add this beautiful gem to your collection!

The phosphophyllite gem!

From the popular manga series that currently also has an anime airing, “Land of the Lustrous”, comes a 1/8th scale figure of the main character and youngest of the gems at just 300 years old –  Phosphophyllite!

The figure has such a unique appearance that really captures the atmosphere from the series! Let’s start off with a quick spin to take a look from various different angles! (∩・∀・)∩

The sculpting is done by Shokubutu Shojo-en’s Iwanaga Sakurako, and as always the sculpt looks absolutely stunning! The intricate details and subtle touches all over the sculpt make you want to stare at the gem for ages!

The tight fitting black outfit sticks close to the curves allowing you to make out all the little bumps along the hipbone even through the outfit!

The contrast of the black outfit and the pale and soft looking skin of the thighs is lovely, and the curves of those thighs are also so beautiful!!

▲The creases in the outfit are also very intricate! (*´ｪ`*)

The gem-like hair is made completely using a translucent green that also makes use of a special glowing metallic paint that creates a kind of oil-like effect that really captures that gem-like appearance of Phos’ design! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟヽ 三 ﾉﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

The way the hair catches the light differs depending on the angle you choose to look from, so be sure to try all sorts of different angles once it joins your collection!

Plus, if we take a close-up of the face…

You’ll notice that the eyelashes are actually sculpted onto the figure! This also makes use of a metallic paint which makes the whole eyes glitter beautifully and differ depending on the angle you choose to look from – just like an actual gemstone! ★

Such beautiful long legs and arms also in fact make use of an ever so slightly translucent appearance to add even more to the gemstone feel! ♪

Now let’s take a look at the base!

The main part of the base has a watery-look with ripples all along the water surface!  The ripples are coming from Ventricosus jumping out of the water!

▲ The details of the water are really a treat for the eyes!

Phos is attached to the base like so!

Hatsune Miku: 10th Anniversary Ver.

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Hatsune Miku: 10th Anniversary Ver.!

Hatsune Miku celebrated her 10th anniversary on the 31st August 2017. In commemoration of the anniversary, Hatsune Miku’s character designer KEI illustrated a brand new illustration of Miku featuring the outfit designed by manga artist Mari Shimazaki. This illustration has now been transformed into an intricate scale figure by sculptor Takayuki Kawahara, filled with 10 years of appreciation toward the virtual idol!

Her body shines with a rainbow glow, and the transparent areas of the design have all been captured on the figure, together with the meticulous detail of her twin-tails and the ribbons in her hair. The huge, iconic ribbon from the illustration has also been included on the figure, and even flows down to form the base of the figure as well.

In addition, the figure will include a 390 page A4 size commemorative book called the “Hatsune Miku Archive”, which will include the winners of the pixiv Hatsune Miku 10th Anniversary illustration contest as well as other contents to look back on Miku’s 10th anniversary. Be sure to add this commemorative figure to your collection and celebrate ten years with Hatsune Miku!

Celebrating 10 years of Hatsune Miku!

This year is the 10th anniversary of Miku-san!! We have taken her 10th anniversary design and transformed it into a 1/7th scale figure!

The figure is of based on the 10th anniversary that was specially illustrated by character designer KEI! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The lovely Miku that we all love has been transformed with a metallic look and rainbow colors all over for a familiar yet new appearance! This version of Miku was designed by the designer and manga artist Mari Shimazaki! This was the original design!

The original illustration and design were of course amazing… but the figure has all been brought together by Good Smile Company’s very own Takayuki Kawahara!

But anyway, let’s get back to today’s main feature with a quick spin!

You can see just how large the huge ribbon on her back is, and speaking of ribbons, the rainbow-colored ribbons in her hair and glittery outfit bring so much lovely color to the figure! (●‘∀‘●)ﾉ”

The Nendoroid has to have some of the ribbons removed to fit in the mini-size, but the scale figure faithfully captures all seven different colors on each side! ♪

Each of the ribbons also has a glittery effect making it sparkle! So pretty!

Let’s take a look at three points that make this figure so special!

– Cuteness –

Just look at this adorable face!!

The feeling that KEI captured in his illustration has been preserved on the figure so beautifully! She looks so innocent and pure with a smile that could warm anyone’s heart! I could stare at this adorable expression for ages!

– Transparency –

If you look closely at her shoes you’ll notice that the tips are actually translucent!! In order to capture the illustration as faithfully as possible, the feet were completely sculpted first and then the shoes with a transparent layer on the outside! The inside isn’t just paint – it’s all actually sculpted!

The combination of transparency and glitter on her arm covers is also lovely!

– Shininess –

The rainbow gradient on the metallic part of her outfit has been carefully adjusted as not to be too overpowering, but still create that lovely colorful look!! ε-(o´ω｀o)

▲ Even the soles of her shoes have a metallic rainbow gradient!

Another area you have to take note of is the bottom the skirt and top of the socks!

Not only do they feature a glittery look, but the inside is also painted to make it look like the inside is glowing in order to capture the lighting effect from the illustration! ♪

The areas circled in red here have a kind of glowing effect that looks so amazing!!

It really is an absolutely stunning figure in terms of sculpt and coloring!! There is so much to see and enjoy! You really need to see her for yourself though!!

Nendoroid Alpaca Suri (Kemono Friends)

Recently I’ve been drinking a lot more coffee, but today I’m more in a tea mood. I could definitely go for a lovely cup of afternoon tea!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…
Nendoroid Alpaca Suri!

From the popular “Kemono Friends” comes a Nendoroid of the character who runs the Japari Café in the anime series – Alpaca Suri! She comes with three face plates including a gentle smiling standard expression, a disappointed face as well as a cheerful smile with closed eyes for when she serves tea to her guests.

Optional parts include three cups, a tray, a teacup as well as a café table allowing you to pose her in all sorts of poses related to the café. Alternate hand parts for Nendoroid Serval and Nendoroid Kaban are also included which allow them to hold the cups! Be sure to display all the characters from the series together and bring out the atmosphere of Japari Park in your collection! ♪

“Welcome to Japari Café!”

From Kemono Friends comes a Nendoroid of the gentle Alpaca Suri that runs the Japari Café in the anime series! Her unique hairstyle, fluffy clothes and pointy ears have all been captured in Nendoroid size for fans to enjoy! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The fact that the one eye is hidden behind her hair also means that changing the angle can make for quite a large change in the feel of the expression!

Let’s move on to her third expression: a cheerful smile with closed eyes! ♡

I can just imagine her cheerful voice playing through my head! Plus as you can also see, she comes with a café table as well!

You can place the additional cups on the table to bring out the atmosphere of the café even more… but that’s not all! ♪
