Painting Nendoroid Kashu Kiyomitsu’s Nails

My body has cycles that make me want to eat dango. I don’t need anko inside or anything – just standard three-color dango are delicious!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be doing a special blog in commemoration of Nendoroid Kashu Kiyomitsu’s release!! Today we’re going to be painting some nails!!

But what can we use to paint the tiny nails of a Nendoroid?

Today I’m going to be introducing two different methods with the help of Eco-shi from the production team and Hamako from the planning team! っ(。・ω・)ノ

Let’s get started!!

 

1) Marker Painting

– Items Used In this Section –　

· Bulldog clip
· Red Permanent Marker (Extra Fine)
· COPIC sketch 0 or sketch C00
· COPIC sketch R17
· COPIC ciao R59
· COPIC ciao R46

Note, you don’t need all of these pens! Simply choose the one that you think will suit you based on the info below!

The bulldog clip is used to hold the hand parts in place! This makes the work much more stable and keeps it nice and still while drying. A peg or something similar may also work if you can’t find a clip!


△ I’m using a standard product sample which should be the same as yours!

The first marker I’ll be trying out is a Red Permanent Marker! 

Hamako: Permanent markers are easy to get hold of and make a nice primer. The pen is hard which makes it easy to paint as well. The color is a little bit too light though…

Next we use some more artistic tools!

The COPIC ciao R46!★

 

Eco-shi: The ‘sketch’ series has many more colors, but the ciao series uses less ink which works better for intricate work like this. You can do tiny little sections at a time without too much trouble… but the tip is soft so do be careful not to apply too much pressure!

While the permanent marker is easy to get hold of, if you want a more accurate color than COPIC markers are for you!

COPIC’s items are often found on sites like amazon if they’re not available near you!

Also note Eco-shi’s posture to prevent shaking!

Painting something so small is probably harder than you think! Placing your arms at an angle to the table like this gives good support and allows for more stable work! ♪

The two of them are trying their nail painting, so now it’s my turn!

COPIC sketch R17!

Gah! I already painted on too much… (/ω＼)

I guess I was rushing too much with the confidence that Eco-shi had given me…

But I have no need to worry! There is a solution to this!!

COPIC sketch C00!!

I actually bought this thinking it was a pen to mix COPIC colors, but it worked out that if you paint this onto the red area…

… give it a quick wipe with a tissue, and…

＼ Back to Normal! ／

This will get some red stains on the top of the COPIC sketch C00, so be sure to wipe the tip off as much as possible as well! ☆

△ If you leave even a little red in it will stay that way forever! Be sure to wipe it clean!

Note that the ideal COPIC pen for this is actually the ‘0’ colorless blender pen, which I only found out after writing this article! The above pen will work as an eraser though as long you you wipe it down with a tissue as soon as it is applied!

Anyway, let’s try that one again! (σ・∀・)σ

The two left fingers are painted with the COPIC ciao R59, the two right fingers with the COPIC ciao R46!

I made so many little tiny touches that the colors look a little irregular… I really am too clumsy for this!!

Compared to the permanent marker, the darker shades of the COPIC markers do match with the skin color a little better to me! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

By the way, the permanent marker can also be removed by the COPIC sketch C00, so it’s nice to have just in case!

Consensus: If you want nice deep colors use the COPIC markers, if you want a quick and easy job use a permanent marker!

2) Enamel Paints

– Items Used in this Section –

· Bulldog clip
· Fine Paintbrush
· 2x Paint Dishes (Paper Cups also work!)
· TAMIYA Color Enamel Paint Thinner (X-20)
· TAMIYA Color Enamel Paint Red (X-7)
· Cotton Swabs

This version is much closer to the actual way figures are painted!

First mix up the paint with a toothpick!

Then move some of the paint into a tray with the same toothpick!

△ The paint trays are just like palettes, so a paper cup or something similar also works!

In the second paint tray add some of the paint thinner! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Soak the paintbrush in the thinner and then brush it through the paint.

Add a fair amount of paint to the brush, and then carefully dab and brush onto each finger carefully!! ٩(๑òωó๑)۶

△ Eco-shi… so fast and accurate!!

If the paint spreads out too far, clean the brush and then dip it into the thinner from before and clear away the unnecessary paint with a gentle swipe!

△ “A second chance makes things much less stressful” – Clumsy Person.

Once you&re done be sure to clean the brush for next time!

By the way, when painting with enamel paints make sure to ventilate the room!!

It’s not a bad idea to place something on the table and wear an apron just in case!! ♪ Also note that enamel paint takes some time to dry! If you’re in a hurry you can rush the drying a little with a hairdryer!

But wait! We never used the cotton swabs! (/ω＼)

Eco-shi: If you make a big error or decide you don’t like the color, just dip the swabs in thinner and wipe off the paint entirely.

Here we have a comparison of all the different methods! From the left: Permanent marker, COPIC, enamel paint!

The shiny look of the paint definitely looks nice!!

If you feel like investing some time into the nail painting then I definitely recommend it!  But the markers certainly don’t look bad – especially from a distance! Simply select the option that suits you the best and give it a try!! Note that through either method the paint will likely fade over time, so you might need to do a little touch-up once in awhile!!

Here we have my COPIC painted Kashu who now sits beside me at my desk!! (●´ω｀●)

I painted the COPIC ciao R59 and COPIC ciao R46 on multiple times… giving a strange kind of shiny look!

I really love minty flavours. I actually used to hate them, but now I’ll almost always choose them! Sense of taste really does change over time!

The theme this time around was Autumn, and as usual I have not been disappointed by everyone’s amazing submissions! I really got to experience all sorts of different Autumns through everyone’s photographs! A huge thank you to everyone who took part!!  (/ω＼)

Autumn of Red Dragonflies

Autumn is the season in which the rice fields sprout their golden buds and the red dragonflies fly around them making a lovely set of colors! I thought My Nendoroid Petite Suika would also match with the dragonfly rather nicely, so I decided to place her in a spot that I thought one might come! (´∀`*)

An unexpected collaboration between nature and Nendoroids!!

I’m amazed you managed to capture this photo! I wonder how long you waited for one to stop by for the photo! Shameimaru also seemed to be waiting to take the shot for awhile!! Thank you for the lovely photo!!!

Nice to Meet You in Autumn

Ever since I saw one of my followers taking Miku-san for a walk in Autumn last year, I’ve been waiting to do it myself. This is the first photo I took of my Miku, and one filled with memories.

Mikasa on Patrol

My budget is very small so I cannot buy a figma Horse yet…however, I still think this horse looks just as good! This was taken in front of my garden hedge in the early evening!!

Walking Through the Leaves in Autumn

Photo taken in Kyoto! The leaves had fallen in such beautiful patterns, so I decided to take a photo of Miku enjoying them!

Sports Day in Autumn!

I took everyone out for a sports day in a park that takes pride in it’s large amount of cosmos flowers! I had actually just received my Nendoroid More: Dress-up Cheerleader parts and decided to try them out on Ranka-chan and Sheryl-san! They enjoyed cheering everyone on!! ♪

The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long is a World Heritage Site that has a rather quiet atmosphere even though it is right in the middle of Hanoi. I went out for a walk together with my Miku-san to go and see it!! Even in an unknown country, going for just a walk as a date can be a load of fun!! (^_^)

GSA NEW ARHAN

The pollen season has come, and so I have moisturizing tissues by my side all the time now. Whoever invented moisturizing tissues is a genius!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

GSA NEW ARHAN!

From the original anime film ‘Expelled from Paradise’ comes an action figure of the new-generation exoskeleton powered suit ‘NEW ARHAN’! The figure transforms from its ovoid storage form into humanoid form without needing to interchange for replace any parts, creating a true transforming action figure of NEW ARHAN.

All the proportions and details of the original design not been compromised in any way for the transformation, creating a faithful and detailed figure for fans to enjoy in their collection. Additionally, various weapon parts that appeared in the film are also included as optional parts, allowing you to recreate dynamic combat scenes with the figure as well!

Ooooooooh! (´□｀｡)

The third in the GSA series! It’s been quite awhile since the announcement, but NEW ARHAN, the mecha from the popular original anime film ‘Expelled from Paradise’ is finally coming up for preorder! Just look at the details and lovely mechanical appearance of the sculpt! Not to mention those lovely curves and the ‘heavy’ appearance you would expect from a giant robot!

△ The complicated design of the back is sculpted amazingly! Beautiful curves!

Plus! The figure features a complete transformation!! By ‘Complete Transformation’, I mean that it can also become this shape! (/ω＼)

But… how does it change from this shape into the awesome mecha above?

Let me give it a go!!

★From Egg Form ⇒ Shift and Slide the Shell ⇒ Remove the Bottom Section

This will separate the figure into two parts! (●´ω｀●)

☆ Fold up the bottom section like so…

☆This Makes this Circular Shape!!


△ I’ll explain more about this later!

★Now on to the top section!

△ Everything is so closed up and shelled! It looks kind of like a crab!

★Pull out the various parts to get the arms and legs!

△ It’s starting to take shape!

All that remains is the head!!

I leave this part to the product’s head planner! (σ・∀・)σ

△ I leave the rest… to you!!　*Actually he has been helping me all along.

While he does all the finishing touches on the transformation, let’s take a second to look at what the GSA series is! ♪

 

What is GOOD SMILE ARMS?

GOOD SMILE ARMS is a new articulated figure series from Good Smile Company based on the theme of ‘mecha’, with a focus on preserving the intricate, sharp designs of mecha and other robotic designs while still allowing great freedom of posing though careful articulation.

All the painting skills GSC has acquired though years of working on figures will also be put to use in the series, allowing for colors and textures that suit the detailed sculpting, and bring out the unique presence of mecha designs. The series will also be a larger scale compared to most articulated mecha figures, and will feature robots from not only anime, but also from various games and other media. We hope you’ll look forward to the upcoming line-up!

GSC never really worked on many mecha or vehicles much before the GSA series, but this is us branching out in that direction!! Here is a list of all the previously released products in the GSA series!

You really need to hold and move these items around with your own two hands to get a feel for their beauty! They are really incredible works!

Anyway, let’s get back to NEW ARHAN!

Now all that needs to be done is to balance him for a photo! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Even the posture and form of the design has been faithfully preserved by the sculpt!! 

Plus just look at all the intricate little details! Not to mention the articulation!


△ The bottom of the feet even feature amazing detail!

The green parts even have a shiny paint to create a glowing appearance to really bring out the design!! ♥︎

Plus, do you remember the circular part that was put aside at the beginning of the transformation? This actually forms a base for the figure once you connect the stand in like so! ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ

Even the bottom is the base is detailed!

△ Even areas that won’t likely be seen often have such meticulous details!

Plus as you may have noticed from the previous photo…

NEW ARHAN also comes with various weapons! ♪

△He can balance to stand on his own or use the stand for more dynamic scenes!

Here we have all the optional parts lined up…

Plus even the included parts are filled with little details…

△Opens up just like in the film!

Not only does the entire figure transform, even the included weapons are filled with fun little options!! 

There are so many moving parts that I ended up using a load of animated gifs today… (/ω＼) On that note, there is another option that will allow you to see the transformation more smoothly! We made a video to show the transformation process!!

Plus tomorrow there will also be a special page to show off some of the more intricate points! Be sure to take a look!

Nendoroid Marth: New Mystery of the Emblem Edition

I’m much more of a Winter person. Summer is just too hot for me! I’m so glad that things are cooling down now, but the offices are as hot as ever…_(┐「ε:)_

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Marth:
New Mystery of the Emblem Edition!

From the popular game ‘Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem ~Heroes of Light and Shadow~’ comes a fully articulated Nendoroid of Marth, the Prince of Altea, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Fire Emblem series!

He comes with two expressions including his standard gentle smile as well as a more serious shouting expression for combat scenes! Optional parts include an iron sword, a rapier as well as the Exalted Falchion allowing you to display him wielding various different weapons from the game! Slashing effect parts are also included and the Nendoroid is fully articulated allowing for amazing dynamic combat scenes to enjoy even in Nendoroid size!

The gentle prince of the Kingdom of Altea is joining the Nendoroids! He has been made in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the RPG series that has captured fans hearts for many years – Fire Emblem!!

Even little details such as the shiny appearance of the clasp on his cape and the metallic paintwork on his armor have all been included to create a really authentic looking outfit! You can even see the slack on certain areas of his outfit and the details on his feet are simply outstanding for a Nendoroid sized figure! ε=(。・д・。)

As he comes from a rather action packed game, he has also been made as a fully articulated Nendoroid with joints in areas like the elbows and knees for many more posing options! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Also take a good look at his facial expression! ☆

Such a gentle smile! (/ω＼)

The smile captures Marth’s warm and friendly personality so nicely, but at the same time you can also feel his strong determination in those eyes – I understand exactly why so many enemies choose to join with Marth when I see this expression!

At his hips you can see he is wielding the Exalted Falchion which can be be displayed both sheathed away as well as out and ready for combat! The cape on his back features joints around the neck area allowing you to move it to the left and right to better match your poses!

The cape is also sculpted to appear ‘blowing in the wind’ to create that dynamic feeling that looks so great in action poses! 

For example, let’s equip him with the thin Rapier and pose him ready to strike…

By posing the cape like this, he looks like he is nimbly fighting with the rapier! (●´ω｀●) Plus as I’m sure you’ve noticed, he also comes with a shouting expression for combat!!♪

Certainly a different feeling to the gentle smile, but it has a whole different charm to enjoy!

Plus last but not least he also comes with the classic Iron Sword as well as the Shield of Seals ‘Fire Emblem’ are also both included! ٩(๑òωó๑)۶

Autumn in the Secret Garden

It’s a miniature garden made of thanksgiving and autumn plants and decorations inside a light tent. I got inspired from the forest scenes in the Chronicles of Narnia for this.

Dragon Crown’s Sorceress

I feel like toasting some marshmallows. Nothing beats toasting marshmallows on an open fire when the weather starts to cool down!! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

The 1/7th Scale…

Sorceress!★

From the game ‘Dragon’s Crown’ comes a scale figure of the Sorceress class – an addition to the ‘Wonderful Hobby Selection’ series of high quality figures!

Vanillaware’s unique rich paintwork that charmed the hearts of many players has been faithfully preserved in the figure rendition and her witch’s hat and certain sections of her skirt can removed for a slightly different appearance to enjoy. Her multi-layered hair has been carefully detailed, and both her bountiful bosom as well as her sexy long legs have all been sculpted to perfection for fans to admire in their collections for years to come!

Ooooohhh!! (´□｀｡)

The busty bodied user of Dark Magic from Dragon’s Crown has been sculpted into a figure capturing all of her charm to keep in your collection! Even the paintwork matches up to the unique coloring that Vanillaware makes use of in their games! Painted by Hiroyuki Hirose (Decomas Lab), he has kept the color balance on the figure absolutely perfect! ♥︎

Note all the shadows formed by the hair parts and various parts of her clothing! The figure really comes to life when you take note of how realistic the details are! The sculpting was done by Deira who is a full digital sculptor!

Even though the figure was digitally sculpted, there are certainly no signs to show that! The ‘soft’ feeling about her skin makes it look like it will really be soft to the touch giving her such a charming appearance. Let’s take a closer look at all the elements that make her the bewitching lady that she is!

A bountiful bosom indeed!

Personally I also really love the coloring around at her elbows that you can see here! The rounded, lady-like appearance of the elbows can even be seen through her outfit! ♪

Her back is also not to be missed, with an outfit that shows off the bare skin on her back very nicely, and also gives a nice look at her spine and shoulder blades that all comes together to create that lovely curvaceous body!! You can enjoy this figure from absolutely any angle, and the back is no exception!

I am also told that Max Factory’s manufacturing team have quite the mission ahead of them thanks to these multiple layers of hair!! But it’ll all be worth it, as it looks absolutely fantastic! (/ω＼)

The hair-style has a kind of rough look to it while also providing some sexy curls! Not to mention the gradient paintwork!!

Plus if you look very close at the photo above you’ll notice that something else is peeking through! You heard nothing from me though!

The pose of her legs and that lovely area behind her knee also looks great! (●´ω｀●)

△ Hm? Something seems to be blocking my photo…?!

That’s right! It’s her huge witch’s hat which can easily be attached and removed whenever you like for a slightly different pose! ♪

A closer look at her charming expression without the hat!

She looks so easy to talk to! ♡

As I’m sure you have already seen on the official photos, when the hat is removed you can take a look from upper angles much easier… and the view is quite… lovely!

Take a look at the bare foot! Each of the toes is so intricate, and the arch of the foot has such a lovely curve!!How can anyone not want to fun their fingers along that foot?! (*´Д｀)=з Everyone jumps to her boobs, but I think I’d rather touch those feet!

Nendoroid Katori

I hear the next Silver Week group of public holidays will only be in 11 years time! I cannot hide my shock… I was hoping it would be a lovely long holiday like this week every year from now on!! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Katori!!♡

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the training cruiser, Katori! She comes with three expressions including her standard expression, an expression based on her half-damage pose as well as a strict expression showing that she is ready to discipline students during training.

All of her ship parts have also been carefully sculpted, including the cannons she has even as a training cruiser. Her trademark whip is included in both a straight and bent form, allowing you to display her disciplining the other KanColle Nendoroids in various different ways! She also comes with the coffee and coffee pot that she holds during time announcements in the game! Enjoy the gentle Katori-san by your side!

Oooooohhh!! (/ω＼)

With teaching cane in hand, Katori is here in her military instructor-like outfit and ready to train the other Kanmusu in Nendoroid size!

Even as a Nendoroid…

…her sexy body is still very noticeable!

The tight outfit makes sure that the curves of her body are nice and clear for all to see! The outfit itself is also very detailed with careful attention to the creases all around the body at curves and openings! Although it might not be an outfit that shows off much skin, that certainly doesn’t mean that it isn’t rather sexy!!

Let’s see how she looks from the back! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The unique way she ties her hair up at the back, as well as her ship parts are all sculpted with careful attention to detail! As with the previous Nendoroid Kanmusu, the ship parts attach to the character with a Nendoroid joint allowing you to easily move them to various angles to match your pose! ★

The turrets can also be moved left and right, as well as rotated up and down! The connection point is also a joint allowing you to twist it to various different angles as well! ♡

△ The first photo had them all straight, but all sorts of angles are possible!

She also comes with her trademark whip, which comes in both a bent whip which you can see above as well as a straight version that works better for certain scenes!

Here we have her proudly instructing! Simply pick the pose you like best! (。・ω・)ノ゛

Katori’s reliable older sister smile has a very gentle feeling to it that shows she is very tolerant…

However! Don’t get too relaxed!!

Those cold eyes!!

A scornful downward gaze! She also comes with this rather different jump in personalities… a jump that some would rather avoid… while others would call it nothing less than a prize! Would you like to be disciplined by her? I know I would!

I can just imagine her voice looking at this pose! “I’m hit… but my turrets are still alright! I will go down fighting!!”. You can see she also comes with firing effect parts for her turrets which make for a great combat scene! ★

The combination of the teary eyes, furled eyebrows and worried looking mouth… it’s a completely different feel to the previous expressions but is filled with all sorts of charming points!! I wish I could jump in beside her and defend her – to restore the cute smile we started the bog off with! ♡

Speaking of that cute smile…

She also comes with these optional parts which work really nicely with her smiling expression! ♡

She also comes with a coffee pot, cup and saucer from her time announcements in the game! The pure white china has a very elegant look to it which suits her nicely! How could any admiral say no to such an adorable smile? I really want to display her like this next to my computer!! (●´ω｀●)

But with a quick switch of expressions…

I have the feeling I’m about to be disciplined by my Nendoroid…

I’m also relatively certain that’s not just coffee!!

Isn’t it amazing how switching out just the expression can have such a huge impact on the pose! Be sure to try out all sorts of different combinations once she joins your collection! ☆

This weekend is Silver Week in Japan! Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are all public holidays!! I’m quite looking forward to it, I think I’ll even try and brave the world outside my house for a while!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Jesse Pinkman!

From the popular drama series that received a number of awards, ‘Breaking Bad’ comes a 1/6th scale action figure of Jesse Pinkman! Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White, a simple middle aged high school teacher who is diagnosed with lung cancer, and decides to start cooking meth in order to provide money to his family once he passes away. Jesse is one of Walter’s ex-student from the high school he worked at, who also happens to have experience with selling drugs, which leads to the two of them working together as partners.

The figure captures all the fine details of Jesse’s outfit and character, creating a figure that looks as if he has jumped out of the screen and into your collection! He also comes with a variety of optional parts including clothing items made from real fabric such as a leather jacket, a hoodie and a balaclava. Four stacks of money, a pistol (Ruger LCR Revolver) and hand parts to display him holding the pistol are also all included allowing you to enjoy Jesse in all sorts of different poses from the show!

What is Breaking Bad?

Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White, a simple middle aged high school teacher who is diagnosed with lung cancer, and decides to enter the world of drugs in order to provide money to his family once he passes away. Using his chemistry knowledge he cooks crystal meth of unrivalled purity which quickly dominates the market. This eventually leads to him becoming ‘Heisenburg’, the drug dealer.

Anyway, let’s get back to the figure!

Jesse Pinkman is sculpted with his most memorable hairstyle – a rather stylish shaved look! The shaved hairstyle, the wrinkles and bumps on his face, even the way his eyes are focused… everything looks exactly like it did in the series!!

It’s incredibly realistic!

His outfit is made from actual fabric, which brings out the realistic appearance even more! (´□｀｡)

If we take a look from the back you’ll notice that amazing details on his leather jacket! Even the embroidered pattern has been carefully recreated in figure size!!

△ The dotted area on his sleeves and at his hips are also faithfully included!

Also take note of his shoes!!

The shoes have a kind of worn appearance that makes them look well-used! You can even see some dirt at some of the edges!! Also take note of the texture of his trousers! (●´ω｀●)

By the way, this is actually the second figure in this series, following on from the main character, Heisenburg! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

If you choose to grab both of them, you can create poses like this! They look ready to go pick up some cash from a deal!

As I’m sure you can tell from the balaclava… they are not making money in the most honest of ways… (/ω＼)

Jesse comes with a number of different parts to help recreate scenes like this, including a pistol and four stacks of money!

I also love the way you can add display the money sticking out from his hoodie pockets!!

It brings out his his character really nicely! Anyway, let’s move on to my favorite photo for today…! ♡

As you can tell, you can remove his jacket and the hoodie underneath for all sorts of different display options! As they are made from real fabric you can also create poses like this! ★

Uh-oh…

Looks like a fight is breaking out between the two…! <○><○>

I wonder if one is trying to cheat the other out of money?!

They seemed to be getting along so much better above!! (/ω＼)

While these figures only come with a single expression ‘part’, they are so well articulated that you can create all sorts of different emotions just through posture and body movements! ε=(｡・д・｡)

This allows you to recreate a number of scenes from the series, as well as create you very own original scenes! ★

Oh, another thing I have to point out!

He can even wear the hood!!

Suddenly he looks a lot more… sad in this pose! Once again you can see how changing the pose can really affect the emotion!! I’m sure you can create all sorts of things with different possibilities with the right angles and lighting!

Nendoroid Venom Snake: Sneaking Suit Ver.

Today’s main feature…!

Today I’ll be taking a look at this product that went up for preorder today! 

Nendoroid Venom Snake: Sneaking Suit Ver.!★

From the latest hit addition to the METAL GEAR series, ‘METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN’ comes a Nendoroid of Venom Snake! The Nendoroid is fully articulated allowing for all sorts of different action poses from the game – even the little ponytail on his back is fitted with a joint!

Optional parts include both his hand gun and assault rifle with their new designs, as well as three myoelectric arm prosthetics used in the game – the bionic arm, stun arm and blast arm are all included for all sorts of options! He also comes with his ‘Phantom Cigar’, a Nendoroid cardboard box and the iDROID displaying a map hologram for Snake to see where to head next! A Fulton balloon is also included allowing you to ‘recover’ other Nendoroids – Solid Snake, Raiden or any other Nendoroid! Bring out the METAL GEAR universe with Venom Snake and all sorts of optional parts!

I’m sure there are many of you who are still enjoying the recently released METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN! Now you can add the Diamond Dogs leader and main character of the latest game to your collection in adorable Nendoroid size!

Some of you may have recognised the first photo as a parody to the main visual for THE PHANTOM PAIN! ★

Even as a Nendoroid, Venom Snake’s cool and composed air is kept beautifully! Compared to the previously released Nendoroid Solid Snake he has a more rugged, worn appearance of a solider that has seen many battles!!

The sculpting of the body is also very different, with much more hardened looking abs and thighs!

Like the previous Solid Snake Nendoroid, he is fitted with a special turning joint between the upper and lower body parts allowing for all sorts of epic poses!

Also note that he holds the Phantom Cigar in his right hand… while his left hand instead looks to be a Bionic Arm! The arm not only has the joint at the shoulder, but also a joint at the wrist to make it easy to create different nuances with the bionic arm! He also comes with the Stun Arm…


△ Note the danger mark! This arm incapacitates targets with electricity!

But that’s not all! He also comes with a third bionic arm – the Blast Arm! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

△ With a glossy finish to give that mechanical appearance!

Pick the one that best suits your mission! ♪

But that’s not all! He also comes with… 

The iDROID & Map Hologram Parts!

This useful hand-sized device is needed on any mission, and looks best when displayed in a kneeling pose like this!!

△ A special left leg part is included to pose him kneeling!

Next up we have an Assault Rifle!

Just like the Solid Snake Nendoroid, Venom Snake can also be posed prone! This allows for some lovely sneaky poses! But perhaps when doing sneaky stuff he should rather be equipped with his handgun!★

He looks so good from the back too! It’s not often we have even an official shot of the back of Nendoroids on the GSC site, but Venom Snake looks too good to ignore!

Even the muscles in his back and the back of his knees have been carefully sculpted! ♪

The little ponytail on his back even includes a little ball joint to add different nuances to your poses!! Also take note of the details on the belt and pouches around his waist!! You can even see there is one part with a string hanging out, which can only be a Fulton!! On that note…

A Fulton balloon is also included!!

△ Time to recover Dayo-san.

The balloon attaches in between a normal Nendoroid stand and the Nendoroid itself, which means you can use it with most Nendoroids!

△ This should make for lots of fun opportunities!

Plus, Venom Snake also comes with a Nendoroid-sized Cardboard Box!

Finally I want to highlight his hairstyle!!

His rough looking swept back hairstyle has really been captured so perfectly in Nendoroid form!!

The sculpt has been separated in a special way to keep the flow of the hair! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ 

The fragment in his head and the eye-patch are also carefully sculpted, and even have a bit of a texture to them to enjoy! Enjoy the Metal Gear Series in both game and figure form! ★

Nendoroid Rin Hoshizora: Training Outfit Ver.

When it comes to ramen, I like tonkotsu ramen the best! I also prefer thin but hard noodles the best! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Rin Hoshizora: Training Outfit Ver.★

From the popular anime series ‘LoveLive!’ comes a Nendoroid of Rin Hoshizora wearing her training outfit! She comes with both an excited comical face as well as a crying expression to show she can sometimes be quite emotional.Optional parts include a bowl of ramen with chopsticks, allowing you to display her enjoying her favorite food! A special ‘holding hand’ part is also included for use with the ‘Ima wa Bokura no Naka de’ LoveLive! Nendoroid series.

“Nyan, nyan, nyan~♪”

Just last week we had Hanayo Koizumi announced in her training outfit, and now we have another first year, Rin Hoshizora to join her!!  (´□｀｡)

That innocent, adorable smile as she practices her dance makes me feel all happy inside! ♡

This is the 5th Nendoroid from the ongoing Nendoroid LoveLive! Training Outfit series! We still have four μ’s members to go! っ(｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Anyway let’s get back to today’s main feature! Her choice of training clothes are cargo pants, and off-shoulder top and a tank top! Seems nice and easy to move about in practice!! But there is another reason that this outfit was selected! I’m sure fans of a certain scene will be quiet happy with the choice!

Plus her alternate ‘Crying Expression’ brings out the yuri scene even more!! ε=(｡・д・｡)

“Rin-chan has a bit of a crybaby side in the first place so the expression suits! That and you can recreate the yuri scene up on the mountain!!” – Planner, Hamako.

Those wide-open eyes with the tears just about to fall from the corners!! I want to run up and give her a hug to make things all better! (/ω＼)

You can imagine yourself to be in Umi-chan’s shoes from that scene, or create your very own cute crying face poses!!

I can think of all sorts of fun ways to display this expression with the other girls!!

But even though I think it’s adorable… I kind of feel bad for making her cry, so I think I should give her something to cheer her up! What would be better than her favorite food!!

A bowl of ramen is included as an optional part! ♥︎ 

She also comes with a right hand holding chopsticks so you can pose her ready to dig in to the delicious looking ramen!!

Rin is back to her lovely smile!!

I really love the combination of cute girls and food! You can also pose her together with  Nendoroid Hanayo Koizumi:  Training Outfit Ver. holding her rice cooker filled with freshly cooked rice!!

The ramen vs. rice battle is about to begin!
