Nendoroid Taiho

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the latest of the KanColle Nendoroids!

Nendoroid Taiho!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the First Taiho Class Aircraft Carrier – Taiho! She comes with three expressions including an easy-to-use standard expression, a half-damaged expression as well as an attacking expression for combat scenes.Optional parts include a cartridge that can be held as well as set in both her crossbow and ship deck. She also includes three different state-of-the-art planes to fly by her side including the Ryusei, Reppu and Suisei planes for various different scenes. Special parts are also included which allow you to recreate her half-damaged pose! Simply select the situation you like best!

“Everyone ready? It’s time to get going!

The state-of-the-art aircraft carrier that even features an armored flight deck – Taiho is joining the Nendoroids!!

Her short-cut brown hair with slightly longer sides, those calm and confident eyes and the combination of a mini-skirt and short leggings bring all of Taiho’s charms alive in Nendoroid size!! I also love her outfit with the little openings you can see beneath her arms, as well as all the details around the neck and hip areas! Not to mention her awesome ship parts! (・∀・)

Various areas of the ship parts are also connected with Nendoroid joints allowing them to move left and right for all sorts of different posing options! ♪

△ This area wasn’t ever even visible in the original illustration!

As with most Nendoroids, she comes with a selection of different hand parts, and these even allow you to pose her aiming her crossbow! (●´ω｀●)

△ Shimada Humikane’s design has been faithfully preserved in this expression!

By the way! Nendoroid Taiho comes with a total of three cartridges that can be set in the crossbow, ship deck parts and can even be held! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ!!

△ They read ‘War’ ‘Attack’ and ‘Explosive’! ♪

These little playful options that are often included with the KanColle Nendoroids make them really fun to play with as well as put on display!♡

Anyway, let’s move on to her alternate expressions parts!

First up is her…

Attacking Expression!

This confident expression makes me think of her line in the game, “Come now my brilliant children, show them what you can really do!” ♪

That said, her ‘children’ planes are also included as optional parts to fly by her side! This time around the included planes are Ryusei, Reppu and Suisei!

△ The different designs are faithfully portrayed on the tiny little planes!

She can also be posed in more dynamic action scenes for battle with the included bent leg parts! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Taking a closer look at the armor on her stomach area, the details have been very intricately sculpted onto her design!! You can also get a little look at the short leggings under her skirt! (/ω＼)

Anyway, onto her third expression…

A half-damaged expression!!

Oooooooooooohhh!! (/ω＼)

Along with the expression, she also comes with various parts to help recreate her half-damaged pose! ♪

△ The end tip of the ship deck swaps out to a damaged version!

△ The bottom of the hull can be swapped out completely to a damaged part!

Plus, the half-damage expression can kind of be used as an embarrassed expression as well!!

Nendoroid Shokaku & Nendoroid Zuikaku

Thanks to everyone who tuned into the live broadcast yesterday! Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Shokaku & Nendoroid Zuikaku!

Apologies for the long wait! Both of the two Shokaku-class aircraft carrier sisters are going up for preorder today!!

△ They might be sisters, but they are each sold separately!

Let’s take a closer look at each of them!

Nendoroid Shokaku!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the first Shokaku-class aircraft carrier, Shokaku! The Nendoroid is based on Shokaku’s ‘Kai Ni’ upgrade but also has parts to recreate her ‘Kai Ni A’ and standard versions. Nendoroid Shokaku comes with three expressions including her standard expression, an attacking expression for combat as well as a half-damaged expression.An alternate body to recreate her half-damaged appearance is also included, allowing fans to enjoy all sorts of different scenes. Other optional parts include a Type Zero Fighter Model 52 and three “Tenzan” aeroplanes to display around her – with one of the Tenzan planes upgraded to the Model 12 version. She also comes with some ice-cream just like her sister ship, Zuikaku.

“I’m Shokaku, the first Shokaku-class aircraft carrier. I strive to live up to the names of my seniors in the first and second aviation divisions together with Zuikaku!”

The gentle older sister always looking out for Zuikaku, Shokaku is joining the Nendoroids! The gentle demeanour and expression really capture her kind personality nicely!

However! Once she heads into combat… she looks just as ready to fight as any of the other ships!! ((＞д＜))

A Type Zero Fighter Model 52 and three “Tenzan” aeroplanes are included to display around her together with a shouting expression which looks great for combat scenes! ♥︎

Plus you may have noticed that the armor around her feet as also changed… as well as the circle on her headband! These alternate parts allow you to change her into the ‘Kai Ni’ upgraded version of Shokaku!! (σ・∀・)σ

But she comes with another set of similar parts!

Which allow you to display the ‘Kai Ni A’ Version! ★

In addition, she also comes with parts to recreate her half-damaged appearance! っ(/ω＼)

The burning effects on the ship deck with the black smoke billowing up to the sides also really adds to the damaged appearance of the ship, while the torn up clothes have been faithfully represented even in Nendoroid size!!

Nendoroid Zuikaku!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the second Shokaku-class aircraft carrier, Zuikaku! The Nendoroid is based on Zuikaku’s ‘Kai Ni A’ upgrade but also has parts to recreate her standard version. Nendoroid Zuikaku comes with three expressions including her standard expression, a half-damaged expression that doubles as an expression for combat scenes as well as a grumpy expression.

An alternate body to recreate her half-damaged appearance is also included, allowing fans to enjoy all sorts of different scenes. Other optional parts include a variety of aeroplanes to fly beside her such as a Type Zero Fighter Model 52, a Type Zero Fighter Model 62 (Fighter-bomber), a Zero Fighter Model 52C (Iwai Platoon) and a Suisei bomber. She also comes with some ice-cream just like her sister ship, Shokaku.

“I am the second Shoukaku-class aircraft carrier, Zuikaku. They call me the ‘lucky aircraft carrier’, but it’s not luck – I just try my very best at all times. So long as I have planes to launch, I’ll never be taken down!”

The slightly mischievous aircraft carrier with lovely black twin tails – Zuikaku is also joining the Nendoroids! ♥︎

That confident look in her eyes has been captured so nicely!! I can just imagine her energetic voice when I look at that face! Just like Shokaku, the ship parts connect into her back with a second Nendoroid joint allowing you to easily move them around to fit your pose!

I can’t wait to see some of the original poses that the Admirals out there will come up with!! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Zuikaku is well known for her impressive line-up of planes, and to show that the Nendoroid comes with a Type Zero Fighter Model 52, a Type Zero Fighter Model 62 (Fighter-bomber), a Zero Fighter Model 52C (Iwai Platoon) and a Suisei bomber to fly by her side!

△ They are so tiny, but the differences between the types can be identified!

You can also switch out the deck parts and leg parts to display her in her Kai Ni A upgraded version, just like her older sister! ☆

Plus Zuikaku also comes with a damaged body..!

Just like Shokaku, she also comes with an expression to fit with the body…

△ The sweat on her cheek and determined look show she isn’t going to give up!

Her third expression is this grumpy expression to capture the tsundere side of her personality for fans to enjoy as well! ♪

(I’m sure this can be used for all sorts of situations!)

Alloy Shimakaze

Today’s Main Feature!!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Alloy Shimakaze!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes an action figure of Shimakaze that makes use of alloy! The originally designed joints allow for an impressive range of articulation, allowing the figure to be enjoyed as an action figure while also faithfully retaining the original proportions of Shimakaze.The figure also includes three different Rensouhou-chans that can each be deployed as different pieces of equipment for Shimakaze to equip! When all deployed they form a helmet, arm, leg and back armor as well as a powerful Rensouhou hammer which allow for all sorts of fun poses!

As you would expect from the name, various parts of the figure are made from alloy, creating a rather different texture, feel and weight compared to normal action figures. She also comes with three interchangeable expressions including a standard face, a combat face and a smiling face. A carton of delicious heavy oil is also included as an optional part.

Shimakaze’s slim physique has been faithfully made into an articulated figure, and she even comes with a set of transforming Rensouhou-chan figures that become her armor and weapon!! ［╹△╹］

By the way, other than the pole of the hammer, no additional parts are required to be added in the transformation process! They are all included within the Rensouhou-chan figures!

The figma stands approximately 190mm in height with her ribbon included, and 150mm without the ribbon. For comparison, figma Shimakaze is about 130mm in height so this Alloy Shimakaze is slightly larger!

Just look at the huge mechanical left hand!!

The torpedo launcher she normally has on her back transforms into this impressive metal gauntlet! ＼＼\└(‘ω’)┘//／／

Let’s take a look at her in her transformed form first!

– TRANSFORMED FORM –

Even though the figure has over 70 points of articulation, they don’t stand out at all! The figure itself looks lovely and smooth even in lovely action poses!!

For example, lifting her Rensouhou-chan hammer up in the air to intimidate the enemy!

The armor at her shins is made from diecast alloy giving it a really heavy, more realistic texture and weight!! Take a look at the page below to see which areas of the figure make use of this diecast material!

You can even pose her jumping up through the air! ♪

While still in development, the figure will also come with a specially designed stand that will allow for jumping and other aerial poses like this one! You can see some pictures of the stand over on the special website above as well!

If you take a look from the back you’ll notice that even the two sides of her hair are fitted with a joint allowing you to match the hair with your poses – for instance in the jumping pose above! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

△ The Rensouhou-chan at her hips is in a rather amazing state!

She also comes with an alternate expression better suited to combat scenes! ☆

You can recreate all sorts of different situations!! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

But don’t forget you also have the choice to display her in her normal form with the Rensouhou-chans!!

– NORMAL FORM –

The natural form of Shimakaze! You can hardly tell the joints are there at all, and all the Rensouhou-chans look so cute when they are in their untransformed versions! ♡

△ Her standard expression has such a calm look on it! ♪

You can pose them saluting the Admiral or other KanMusu!!

With all the armor removed, she suddenly seems to have a much more ladylike body and soft-looking skin!! (/ω＼)

Plus she also comes with this optional part to hold…

Delicious Heavy Oil! っ(๑´ㅂ`๑)

This alternate smiling expression shows just how much she enjoys it too! Apparently it does wonders for a KanMusu’s looks!!

Choose between combat mode or standard mode, and recreate an endless number of poses once you add her to your collection!

Today’s Main Feature!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at one of Phat Company’s recently announced items…

The 1/7th Scale

Zuihou!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a 1/7th scale figure of the Shouhou Class Light Carrier, ‘Zuihou’! She has been posed in a dynamic battle scene launching attack planes out on a base made in the image of the open ocean. The intricate sculpting and texturing of the ship parts create a figure filled with highlights for fans to enjoy.

“Right, let’s do this! All attack planes, take off!”

The Shouhou Class Light Carrier with a small body but a powerful impact, Zuihou as a scale figure! She is posed in a lovely dynamic pose as if she has just fired off one arrow and is reaching for the next! ♡

Her outfit and hair are blowing about in the wind together with the ocean at her feet making the figure feel so full of motion! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

This is how she looks from the back!

The twisted posture makes for a very unique pose for the figure, with the huge bow giving the figure some impressive height as well! The little planes flying by her legs also bring out the KanColle universe so nicely while also balancing out the front side of the figure!! Amazing work from Phat Company! (*´Д｀)=з

Her determined expression matches with her confident pose perfectly! She knows that arrow is going to strike its target!

Her strong-willed eyes really capture the seriousness of the battle around her!!

I also love the almost cat-like shape of her mouth! It adds a hint of cuteness to the overall serious pose! Also take note of the detail of the water splashing about on her base! (੭ु ›ω‹ )੭ु⁾⁾

The torrential flow of the ocean really helps paint the picture of the battle going on around her! The waves are sculpted using semi-transparent parts that make them look lovely!

A look from the side brings out the power of the waves even more! (・ω・)/

△ You can almost hear the roaring splash of the ocean just looking at it!

Plus the details on her quiver of ‘arrows’!! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Of course as a carrier in KanColle, all of her arrows are airborne ships! Zuihou’s have a lovely white, yellow and red color scheme!

The planes flying at her legs are lovely detailed, but even these tiny little planes have been painted and sculpted with such intricate detail! ♪

There are still many more highlights though – for example the area behind her knees, the big baggy appearance of the pants and the contrasting mechanical appearance of the ship parts on her back!

The soft look of Zuihou’s skin and outfit suddenly switches to a very rigid and industrial appearance on the ship parts! The figure has a very dynamic look overall, but I think it’s the smaller details of the movement that really bring it to life as a whole!! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The flowing hair, detailed planes and mechanical ship parts… not to mention the peek at her sleeve from the extended arm!

Be sure to enjoy her from all sorts of different angles!! So much lovely Zuihou detail converted into figure form for fans to enjoy in their collection!!

Nendoroid Captain America: Hero’s Edition

From ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ comes a figure of the leader of the Avengers, Captain America! The fully articulated Nendoroid has been carefully sculpted and painted with his unique design and coloring based on the US flag, ensuring he looks impressive no matter what pose you choose to display him in!

His trademark shield can attach to his left or right arm using a special attachment, allowing you to choose which better suits your pose. The shield can also be placed on his back, which even allows him to balance without the need for a stand! Effect parts to display him throwing the shield are included adding even more play value!

In addition, the included stand is based on the final battle scene from the movie and can be combined with the base included with the previously released ‘Nendoroid Iron Man Mark 45: Hero’s Edition‘ in order to complete the full circular base – a large dioramic base that really brings out the atmosphere of the Avengers for fans to enjoy!

Yuudachi Kai Ni

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I’m already starting to show signs of hay fever and the pollen levels aren’t even high yet! The daily battle against the pollen is set to begin soon!

But anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at the 1/8th scale…

Yuudachi Kai Ni!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the fourth Shiratsuyu Class Destroyer, Yuudachi Kai Ni! The figure has been designed to be displayed in combat with the previously released Shigure Kai Ni, and is based on an original illustration by kujouitiso specially drawn for the figure. The dynamic pose of the figure is made even more fascinating by the effect parts that swirl around her.

She holds torpedoes in one hand to show she is in mid-combat, yet the expression on her face captures her determined personality even in the heat of battle. The ship parts have also been intricately sculpted, and the turrets as well as the torpedo launchers on her legs are of course fitted with joints to add slightly different nuances when displaying her! The ship parts are also sculpted to look physically heavy to contrast against Yuudachi’s soft looking skin and create a figure that fans will be proud to gaze at for years to come!

“Right, let’s have ourselves a lovely party!”

A lovely scale figure of the fourth Shiratsuyu Class Destroyer, Yuudachi Kai Ni in battle mode!

The two tufts of hair that look a bit like animal ears as well as the red eyes that make Yuudachi her ‘Kai Ni’ have all been faithfully included on the figure! The slight pink gradient of her hair has also been preserved! ♡

△ The feeling of movement brought on from the sculpt is also fantastic! (・∀・)

If we take a look at her from the back…

Most of Yuudachi is blocked by her huge ship parts!

Plus the torpedo launchers on her thighs as well as the gun barrels on the turrets feature articulated parts allowing for slightly different nuances when posing her!

The fiery effect parts that surround her show the intense battle she is in, creating a dynamic figure that really captures the atmosphere of the KanColle universe! The red hot flames are also of course a show that Yuudachi is the destroyer that boasts the highest firepower of them all! (੭ु ›ω‹ )੭ु⁾⁾

△ The red flames coupled with her red eyes make
her seem to be burning with fighting spirit!

She is posed as if pulling down the white scarf down a bit with a bit of a grin on her face, as if she had just launched an attack of her own!

Plus if you look a little further down, you’ll also notice that the wind is blowing her skirt up quite a fair amount, making low angle shots for the blog quite difficult! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Moving a little higher up, her rather impressive bosom is beautifully sculpted with the rather tight outfit showing off her curves very nicely!! The lines formed by her bent arms and legs are also really nice! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

On the other hand, we also have the mechanical looking ship parts to contrast against her soft looking skin! Let’s take a closer look at those parts – notice that the ship parts feature glossy areas, half-glossy areas as well as flat areas to really recreate that ship-like appearance effectively! ♥︎

△ Even a little ladder is included on the funnel! ☆

Her shiny shoes and slightly transparent socks also look lovely!
Note the little antennae on the back! ♡₍₍ ◝(・ω・)◟ ⁾⁾♡

△ The ship parts also boast lovely gradient paintwork.

Another area on the ship parts that I adore…

The white sail billowing in the wind!

The sail itself couldn’t be completely seen in the original illustration, so we had to assume how this area looked in order for the sail to blow outward like this – it ended up with these three strings connected at the bottom!

Last but not least, there is also a red ship propeller on her back! Not to mention that each of the torpedoes in her hands also each have a little golden propeller on the end!

△ The comical expressions on the torpedoes are also a cute touch! (●´ω｀●)

So much to see on a single figure! Add the destroyer to your collection!

This version of Atago has her equipped with her three 20.3cm Twin Gun Mounts to recreate the complete Atago for fans to enjoy! Her fluttering skirt and long, gently waving hair can be enjoyed from any angle you please! The stockings she is wearing also have been painted so amazingly! Just look at the stretched out parts that reveal a little more of the skin color of her beautiful legs!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at Max Factory’s item that went up for preorder the other day…

figFIX Yukikaze: Half-Damage ver.!

Yukikaze from ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ is joining the figFIX series of figma-sized statue figures in her half-damaged pose! Yukikaze’s embarrassed expression looks ready to burst into tears as her clothes are torn apart from the damage! The expression part can be exchanged with the previously released figma Yukikaze for even more posing options – be sure to display the two of them together!

“I-I told you, I won’t sink!!”

The latest addition to the figFIX series!

Yukikaze in figma size in her classic half-damage pose! The blushing face as she rushes to cover up her lower half is so cute! And the hair, neck-tie and binoculars blowing in the wind are beautifully sculpted for a palm-sized figure!

While the pose is relatively simple, the details and feeling of movement that the figure gives is amazing to look at! Every inch of the figure is such a pleasure to look at! ★

She is trying so hard to cover up the inside of her one-piece, but…

It isn’t very hard to see past it! <○><○>

There are all sorts of highlights on the figure that pull your attention, but lets shift our attention away from the cute character and onto her intricate ship parts!

The contrast between her soft skin and the mechanical ship parts is lovely!

Nendoroid Akashi Kai

Today’s main feature…!

The know in Japan today made my normal trip to work twice as long… it’s amazing how that sort of delay can get your stressed before the day even begins! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a a look at…

Nendoroid Akashi Kai!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the repair ship, Akashi Kai! She comes with three expressions including her standard expression, a prim expression as well as an expression with her tongue out, ready to repair anything!

Her ship parts are the upgraded ‘Kai’ parts and are fitted with various joints and connections making them highly flexible for various poses. Optional parts include a variety of items perfect for Akashi’s repair work including a welding mask, welding machine, welding effect parts, blueprints and a spanner! Be sure to display her with her support partner, Nendoroid Oyodo!

“I’m Akashi, the only dedicated repair ship in the fleet.”

The ship girl who’s main role is that of support is joining the Nendoroid series in her upgraded ‘Kai’ version! All the cute details that bring out her character such as the tufts of hair sticking out beneath her ears, her confident eyes and the sailor outfit with a hint of Japanese style have all been faithfully transformed into Nendoroid size! The ship parts including her little crane are also looking great!! All of Akashi’s charm has been compacted into the figure! ♪

“I never expected to be use my arsenal to fire at the enemy!”

Akashi might be a support ship, but she is still equipped with some weapons!

A hand part to clench the lever by the turret is included together with firing effect parts which work great to pose her as if firing at the enemy in combat! ♪

The headband parts connect onto the back of the head through one part that can be attached and removed! The front part of the headband connect into the reverse side of the front hair parts! (σ・∀・)σ

Anyway, along with the confident smiling expression above, she also comes with this more gentle expression! (σ・∀・)σ

A prim and proper expression! ♡

The crane of the right side of the ship parts can also be detached and instead held in her arms!

You can just imagine her saying something like “Should I get that fixed?”. But moving onto her third expression which also has a very different feel…

A mischievous expression!

The way her tongue is sticking out together with those cunning eyes makes you wonder just what she is planning! (/ω＼)

In her hands she holds a variety of repair-related optional parts including a welding mask, some blueprints and a spanner!

△ So small! So cute!

But that’s not all! She also comes with a welding machine and effect parts to match with the welding mask and really allow you to display her hard at work repairing!

The two tanks included are for ‘Arc welding’ and ‘Gas Welding’! Plus she even comes with alternate hand parts wearing gloves!

This is how she looks lined up with all of the included optional parts!

△ The glove hand parts and alternate hand and leg parts are also included!

So many different options!

As with most of the KanColle Nendoroids, the amount of parts allow you to pose her in all sorts of fun different ways! Another thing to note is that the cranes on her ship parts are articulated even more than normal, allowing you to really move them around to better match your poses! (●´ω｀●)

△ Move them around to wherever needs repairs!

Last but not least, here is a photo of her together with her support buddy, Oyodo! ☆

Nendoroid Fubuki: Animation Ver.☆

From the anime series ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the main character – the destroyer, Fubuki! She comes with three expressions including a standard expression, a serious expression for combat scenes as well as a fawning expression.The effect parts included with most of the KanColle Nendoroid series have been included with Fubuki as well, but have been slightly modified toward the appearance in the anime! The popular sortie scene unique to the anime can also be recreated using the included parts! Enjoy all sorts of different scenes with Fubuki!

“Nice to meet you Admiral! My name is Fubuki!”

The first ship special destroyers and one with a strong sense of justice to boot! Fubuki is joining the Nendoroids! This is the first Nendoroid from KanColle to be based on the anime instead of the game – but with that said the Nendoroid still tries to keep the expression faithful to Shibafu’s original illustration as well as bring out the feeling of the anime’s designs! (*´Д｀)=з

A lovely sailor outfit with her skirt gently fluttering on the edges!

A calm and collected combat expression!

The determination of the first ship in the special destroyer fleet really comes out in those eyes! They are ready for combat and filled with a desire for justice!!

The cannon she holds in her hand also comes with effect parts to recreate a more dynamic action scene!! ☆

Now let’s take a look at her from the back!

The ship parts on her back have been shrunk down, but still have amazing detail!!

The little bit of tied-up hair on the back can also be seen here! It is even fitted with a ball joint for adding slightly different nuances to your poses!

Plus another item perfect for battle scenes…

“Please hit!”

Torpedo effect parts with smoke and water splash effect parts to show the amazing sea battles! They are even specially adjusted to match the anime’s visuals! ★

It really feels like the figure should be jumping to life at any second!! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

△ Brings out the KanColle atmosphere nicely! ♪

But then we move onto her third expression which is quite a jump from the serious combat expression!

A fawning expression! ♡

This expression… she could only be thinking of Akagi-senpai!

But it can also of course be used in all sorts of other situations as well! The only limit is your imagination! (●´ω｀●)

Plus she comes with another rather amazing part!!

Sortie Parts!! (´□｀｡)

Parts that definitely show that this Nendoroid is from the anime version! The name plate, chains and cogs from the scene are all faithfully included! I can just picture her heading out now!!!

This is how we interpreted the connection to the ship parts for the Nendoroid!!

△ The torpedoes on her thighs can move around like they did in the series too!

A special clear sheet to lay on the Nendoroid stand will also be included to recreate this part of the sortie scene as well!

Nendoroid Akitsushima

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Today I went to work wrapped up in a scarf due to the cold… I wish I could go to work wrapped up in my blankets from bed… (›´ω`‹ )

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Akitsushima

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the seaplane carrier Akitsushima! She comes with three expressions including her standard expression, a half-damaged expression as well as a more comical upset expression with puffed out cheeks. The ship parts on her hips are fitted with various moving parts allowing the hip attachment part to slide along the edges as well as move the crane around – the crane can even be displayed stowed away when not in use!Her trademark seaplane ‘Taitei-chan’ is also included in a fairly impressive size as well as movable wings. It can also be set onto Akitsushima’s back for a slightly different appearance! As with most KanColle Nendoroids she also comes with some food parts as well – this time it is a Japanese-style breakfast set including miso soup and dried fish!

Ooooohhh!! (´□｀｡)

“Seaplane Carrier Akitsushima! Remember me along with Taitei-chan!!”

The Seaplane Carrier Akitsushima is joining the Nendoroids as the 21st Nendoroid from KanColle! You can find a list of all the Nendoroids and other KanColle products over on the KanColle product summary page here: http://www.goodsmile.info/en/kancolle!

Her lightly coloured hair with a long side-tail as well as her eyes that have a lovely translucent aura about then have been faithfully shrunk down to Nendoroid size! The large crane on her back as well as her ‘Taitei-chan’ seaplane are also included giving the figure some impressive volume while keeping all the important elements of her character in place!

This is how she looks from the back! (σ・∀・)σ

Her side-tail is fitted with a Nendoroid joint in match any pose!! ☆

You’ll also notice that the camouflage pattern on her crane is faithfully included, and the center of the earrings are made with a transparent material to give a shiny, crystal appearance! ♡

Originally they were planned to just be completely grey, but a certain admiral in the GSC fleet decided they needed a little more attention to detail!

As you can imagine, the change made for quite a different feeling that I know Akitsushima fans will appreciate! Another part that I love about Akitsushima’s design is the ribbon on the right side of her hair! The end of the ribbons have little anchors! ♡

△ Even the ties of the ribbon to the anchors have been sculpted on!

Anyway, let’s move onto her second expression part…

“All fleets, prepare for battle!”

Her second expression is made in the image of her half-damaged face! ( >ω・)

This pose is Akitsushima taking a hit, but already preparing the counter attack! Taitei-chan is on the crane and ready to pick up the wind…

“Ready to sortie!”

Attack effect parts are also included to bring out the feeling of battle even more! ★

△ The effect parts simply connect into the holes of the turret!

Also take note of her outfit!

The rather unique sleeve design that opens up around her armpits, along with the golden buttons on the front and dotted patterns on her sleeves have all been carefully sculpted and painted! (。・ω・)ノ

The slightly see-through look of white section on her skirt is also preserved using translucent parts!

The little opening to show off her belly button actually has the cute little navel sculpted as well!!

Anyway, let’s move on to her third expression…

“How very rude!”

An expression made to show that she can get a little feisty when it comes to her ‘camouflage’ make-up!

You can’t help but want to touch those puffed up cheeks!!

△ The puffed out look is much more than most Nendoroids!

As you can see from the above photos, the crane part can also be removed for a more everyday appearance of Akitsushima!

On that note, the crane part is actually on a slide-able piece that allows you to move the crane around like so! (●´ω｀●)

Once again the ship parts are connected with a Nendoroid joint which allows for all sorts of different poses, however this time it’s not just Akitsushima – you’ll notice another little place for a Nendoroid join on the other side of the ship parts…！

You can attach this hole to the Nendoroid joint on the bottom of Taitei-chan…

Taitei-chan is connected to her back!!

This allows for some amazing fun poses like this one!! ♥︎

Akitsushima soaring through the air!

The ship part stand connector on the back faces downward allowing for a kind of floating feeling like this! (*´Д｀)=з

You can even pose her flying on Taitei-chan like this!!

Taitei-chan’s wings can also moved up and down slightly to give a more dynamic feel to the plane!

The crane is also fitted with this kind of movement!

All the different moving parts give her an almost toy-like feeling, and I obviously don’t mean that in a bad way at all – she is just packed with so many ways to play around with!! (/ω＼)

She also still comes with one more optional part…!

“Admiral, here’s your breakfast!”

Rice, miso soup, ohitashi and dried fish!! A lovely Japanese breakfast courtesy of Nendoroid Akitsushima! (/ω＼)

△ I would be happy to wake up to this in the morning! ♪

Each of the bowls and chopsticks are all attached onto the tray unfortunately, but the tray itself can be removed from her hands and placed elsewhere!

All sorts of movable parts and posing options! Be sure to add her to your fleet!

Samus Aran: Zero Suit Ver.

is being rereleased once again!!

From the Metroid series’ “METROID Other M” comes yet another rerelease of the 1/8th scale figure of the series protagonist, Samus Aran! The figure has her wearing her Zero Suit – the outfit she wears while out on missions, but has the helmet removed to show off her beautiful face!She looks as cool and calm as ever as she holds her gun in her right hand, ready to take on anything that comes her way. The Baby Metroid that plays an important role in the story is also included along with Samus. It’s a figure that really brings out the atmosphere of the Metroid world for fans to enjoy!

I have always wondered whether Yamato has a different side than what she showed in the anime or game. I think she will be really excited to play with some cute pets like Tiger-MEIKO and Kitty-KAITO. Thank you to Good Smile Company for releasing one of the most beautiful and battle-ready Yamato as Nendoroid.
Now I wonder how the other KanColle girls will look like when they encounter adorable stuff. :3
