A look at new and upcoming Hatsune Miku related products!

…The official description on the live broadcast page doesn’t give much info does it?! ヽ(｀Д´#)ﾉ Let me fill in and provide some extra info about the products, as I had the chance to speak with Hamako about what will be shown at the broadcast!

(・∀・) “New Product Time will feature some rather interesting figures! The figma Racing Miku 2013: EV MIRAI ver. which debuted at NicoNico Chokaigi, as well as the 1/7th Scale Mikuzukin are both scheduled to be shown during the broadcast!”

They’ve both been on display at events in the pat, but this time around we’ll have Max Factory introduce them in detail for everyone! (o・ω・o)

(・∀・) “I also believe we’ll be hearing about FamilyMart and animate’s upcoming products and I hear GSR will be announcing something too!”

2015 Nendoroid Snow Miku Costume Design Finalists

Time has really been flying by recently! It’s hard to believe that we’re already into May… it feels like just the other day that we decided on the 2014 Snow Miku design! ♪

The 2015 design has the theme of ‘Plant Life in Hokkaido’s Winter’, and we were looking for both Miku’s costume design as well as a new design for her pet, Rabbit Yukine! I didn’t think we’d get to see Rabbit Yukine return for another year but I’m glad we do!

Today I’ll be looking at the finalists for the contest!

Everyone at both GSC and Crypton found it very difficult to select the finalists, but these were the finalists that we decided on in the end! Hopefully you’ll find one you like too! (｀・ω・´)

2015 Snow Miku Costume Design Finalists

1) “snowmiku” by kise
 Her hair ornaments are made to look like the Japanese Rowan tree. Overall her outfit is based on a ‘dairy’-look, which is what came to mind when I thought about Hokkaido, creating a bit of a ‘country’-themed outfit.

This Miku is based on the ‘snow-in-summer’ flower.

3) Winter Bell by Anmitsu
A Miku based on the image of a ‘Lily of the Valley Fairy’. Her hair ornaments and crown both make use of the flower. She has wings with snow flake patterns on her back.

4) Snow Miku 2015 by Taran
Lily of the Valley hair accessories and a snow-drop skirt. Her headset is made to look like white birch flowers. The ribbons all over the outfit are from a Japanese rowan tree. A slightly childish looking outfit.

These are the eight finalists!

One design of Miku and one design of Yukine will be selected from these to become the official 2015 Snow Miku!

It really was quite difficult to select these finalists, there were many other lovely entries! The final choice however remains with the fans – the winning designs will be selected by a survey during the live broadcast tomorrow! Be sure to get your vote in! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

Hatsune Miku: Deep Sea Girl ver.

Apologies for the long delay on this one…!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at this beautiful figure, scheduled to reach wholesalers next week on the 19th May…

Hatsune Miku: Deep Sea Girl ver.!

Here we have Hamako (Deep Sea Girl Pose ver.) holding onto the box… you can see it’s rather large!! This is how the inner packaging looks!

Miku wearing her beautiful black dress in the middle, with her huge twin tails on either side, some coral on the top and the deep sea stand at the bottom!

Let’s start off with a closer look at the beautiful stand! (｀・ω・´)

First off I decided to attach the two pieces of coral onto the stand! The center of the stand is a dark blue, slowing fading out with an uneven gradient to a lighter blue on the edges! (｀・ω・´)

I also decided to invite a slightly smaller Deep Sea Girl from the Nendoroid Petite Hatsune Miku Selection! ♪

The atmosphere matches with the Nendoroid Petite too! The rocks and coral both have a lovely realistic texture and look to them… once the figure is placed they tend not to be noticed, but they’re definitely an important part of the figure! Just look at the detail put into the shape of the coral!! ＜●＞＜●＞

The tiny little bumps all over and even a slight gradient over the entire thing makes for a spectacular view! It looks like it should feel all soft and spongey…

Let’s seat Miku down on her deep sea throne… (ﾟＡﾟ;)

An angel! An angel has descended upon my desk!!

Just one look at her gorgeous expression and you can’t help but feel completely charmed! The figure is based on a beautiful illustration by Haruyo-san, and it has been captured in figure form perfectly! Staring at the figure brings that same sense of absolute amazement that came with the original illustration…! ♡

From the way her twin tails are twisting as they float in the water around her…

To the dainty frills of her jet black dress…

Her stunning long legs curling gently to the sides, and her delicate hands gently touching together…

They all come together to capture the heart of anyone who looks her way!

Her expression has such a calming smile, and looking into her eyes made me feel like shedding a tear… the figure is drowned in such an amazing atmosphere that really brings you underwater with her!

The combination of the figure itself with the outfit, stand and coral all come together to create such an amazing sight… it’s simply too amazing for me to put it into words! No matter what I say I don’t think will be enough to explain it…!

This is one of those figures you just have to see for yourself, from each and every possible angle! Let me take a look at a few of my favorites, together with some a slightly overactive imagination…

The huge twists in her twin tails, dynamic positioning of her legs and feet, the fluttering of her hair ribbon and lovely collarbone all make this a spectacular angle! (｀・ω・´)

It keeps her youthful look, but also gives off an air of mature elegance!

“I know that if I called out to her, she would surely look my way… but instead I just thought to myself “I want to be by her side forever”… However it wasn’t long until I regretted not saying anything… but at the same time I was more than content just staring at her beauty.”

The thin frame of her neck and shoulders, and opened up back that makes her look so defenceless… Her dress which looks soft and silky, and a small gap to see her legs. An angle which makes you think Miku is truly all yours!

Not to mention the light and airy twin-tails floating up in the water…!

“As I slowly approached Miku from the back, I knew she hadn’t yet noticed I was there. I also knew I wouldn’t get many chances like this, so I took some time to appreciate just how cute she looked from behind… it was hard to resist embracing her, even though I truly wanted to hold her in my arms. As I noticed the subtle bump of her spine, and told myself I had to calm down…”

(I get the feeling my wild delusions are getting wilder… (； ･`ω･´))

Miku looks into the distance as light beams down into the ocean she relaxes in, as the water causes her hair and dress to flutter around her – an angle which captures a single instant filled with movement! (｀・ω・´)

The fluid movement of the dress and the coral in the foreground give it a nice balance!

“The look on Miku’s face was a look of relief – a calm smile that brought a relaxing wave over me. As some light came over her she looked up and lifted her hands toward it. I sit and watched… unable to move just like the coral beside be… I might not be able to get closer to her, but I’m happy to just sit here and watch over her…!”

…I find it hard to understand my own imagination sometimes…

But having this Miku in front of me causes my imagination to go into overdrive, I couldn’t resist! (´；ω；｀)

The sculpting is undeniably beautiful, but even more beautiful is the story that the figure tells! She brings a whole world along with her!! Sit by her side and enjoy that beautiful atmosphere with her!

Hatsune Miku TYPE 2020

I’ve only been up Tokyo Tower once when I was rather young… and even though the GSC offices are right next to the even higher Skytree, I’m so used to it now that I often feel like I’d rather climb Tokyo Tower! (；´∀｀)

Anyway, today I’ll be looking at a product that shipped out from GSC today:

The 1/7th scale:
Hatsune Miku TYPE 2020!

What a beautiful Miku-san!! ♡

The stunning Miku who sings the 7th Dragon 2020 opening song has been sculpted in all her beautiful glory, and is now ready to be released!

Amazing volume!

The huge, long twintails really give the figure an impressive size… the packaging is also rather large! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

Let’s move somewhere else for a better size comparison…

Just compare her to the size of my laptop…
It’ll help you realize just how impressive the size is! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

The outfit also is so unique and stunning… the light and airy feeling of the outfit design comes out on the figure so nicely!

The twirling of the twintails also give the figure a very dynamic feeling!

The bold and open pose together with such intricate details… I could stare at her forever!

She is literally detailed down to the fingertips! ヽ(ｏ´∀｀ｏ)ﾉ

Displaying her with Samurai (Katanako) and Hacker (Chelsea) from the same series will undoubtedly look amazing too – the designs match together so well!

The use of space between the twintails and arms also works so well! It’s really a work of art! As expected of Max Factory! (=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ

Her eyes simply seem to suck you in…
Plus just look at that collarbone… and those armpits!!

Take a look at the lacing around her chest area… there is no way to explain just how intricate it is! Her lips also feature a slightly glossy paintwork! (ﾉ｀・∀・)ﾉ

Her face from the side is also beautiful! You get a lovely look at her body’s perfect curves as well as her lovely fingers from this angle! ヾ(｡｀Д´｡)ﾉ

A look from the side also shows slightly more skin… the beautiful outfit still has a sexy side to it too! ( -ﾉｪ-)

Be sure to take a nice long look from all sorts of angles once yours arrives!

1/10th Scale Sakura Miku feat KEI

I look forward to going out and looking at the cherry blossoms this Spring! I want to do it properly – lay down a vinyl sheet under the blossoms, sit and and relax in a storm of petals while enjoying some delicious dango!

On that note, today I’m going to be introducing a figure just as beautiful as the falling cherry blossoms… ♡

The 1/10 Scale:

Sakura Miku feat. KEI!

The second issue of FIGURE Japan will be focusing on the popular electronic diva – Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku! The included figure is a 1/10th scale ‘Sakura Miku feat KEI’ – a classic figure based on an illustration by KEI, colored a beautiful cherry blossom pink! The cover of the magazine will also feature an illustration by KEI!

Oooh! Spring has sprung! （*´▽｀*）

Sakura Miku previously became a Nendoroid, but now she’ll also be released as a scale figure too!

Spring has already come to my desk! ♪

A lovely gentle smile on her face! ♡

As with the Nendoroid, she features lovely cherry blossom prints along her beautiful long hair!

The cherry hair accessories are also adorable!! (*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ 

Her outfit is also amazingly detailed, down to the creases in her dress!

It also has a pearl coating that gives a nice relaxed feeling… isn’t it lovely…?

Her base is also shaped like a cherry blossom flower! ♪

This figure is included with volume two of Hobby Japan’s magazine, Figure JAPAN!!



What is Figure JAPAN?

Figure Japan is a figure collector’s magazine with each issue focusing on a specific series and including a figure from that series. Each issue will have a figure catalog and a listing of new and upcoming products from the series it is based on, focusing on the figure included with that issue. It’s filled with lovely photos and all sorts of figure-related information, creating the perfect fan book for figure fans!

As I’m sure most of you will remember, the first issue of the magazine included this 1/10th scale figure of Ultimate Madoka!

Whilst the contents of the magazine certain do interest me, I don’t have access to them right now… so instead I’ll be taking a close up look at the included figure!

I also think we need to get some inside info… so let’s see who we can summon!

*Planning Team Summon: Hamako!!*

(・∀・) “There is no way I can completely explain the cuteness of this Sakura Miku… but I definitely think the pearl coating is what makes her so very special!”  

(・∀・) “The pearl coating causes all the details on her outfit to stand out even more than before!”

It also seems to have a more dynamic feeling to the standard colors! ε=(｡・д・｡)

(・∀・) “Nendoroid Sakura Miku also made use of a pearl coat so I really wanted to make use of it on the scale figure too… I’m personally quite glad with that decision! It gives her an overall more dynamic and glamorous appearance – and a presence you’d never expect from a 1/10th scale figure!”

The original 1/8th scale Hatsune Miku had a metallic shine to her design, but the pearl effect is definitely a completely different charm! It’s more shiny and definitely suits Sakura Miku nicely.★

(・∀・) “Another point I’d like to point out is her expression!!”

(・∀・) “Miku normally has an energetic, smiling appearance, but Sakura Miku is more of a gentle, kind look… which we wanted to portray through her expression too! After discussing things with the production team we ended up with this – it’s actually rather different when compared to the 1/8th scale Miku’s expression!”

Ah-hah! I knew she seemed different in some way or another! The expression definitely does look a little gentler!

(・∀・) “We also replaced areas that are normally black with a more brown color, and altered the eyebrows to create a more gentle appearance overall!

Not only a lovely cherry blossom color scheme, but a bit of a personality adjustment too! ♡

(・∀・) “It’s definitely not a figure that will lose to her bigger version in any way… except size! The detail is exquisite and anyone who picks her up is sure to be more than satisfied!”

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Magical Snow Ver.

2014 is Snow Miku’s 5th anniversary year, and once again designs were added to the piapro website and the most popular was voted for on a live NicoNico Broadcast! The winning design of the 2014 Snow Miku was by dera_fury, who created a playful Snow Miku filled with magical girl charm! The pet to be included was a separate competition, and the selected design was ‘Rabbit Yukine’ illustrated by nekosumi – the two of them have now been transformed into the 2014 Nendoroid Snow Miku for a Winter that fans are sure to remember!

Included with the Nendoroid is a special spell book stand, her magic wand, effect parts, a magic circle as well as sitting parts are also all included! She even comes with special arm parts to display her hugging Rabbit Yukine instead of just holding her! All the parts you’ll need for a truly magical experience with Snow Miku!!

Finally the full, adorable package! （*´▽｀*）

This year’s Snow Miku’s theme is ‘Magical Girl’! She comes complete with a magical girl outfit, all sorts of magical goodies, a familiar and a special spell book stand! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

Of course I’ve already shown it on the live broadcast and earlier in the post… but the packaging is made to look like a spell book too!!

On the back are the standard images of the Nendoroid! Width-wise it’s about the length of Nendoroid Mikudayo’s outstretched arms!

The sitting parts can be used to place her sitting her on the edge of the book like so! The smaller book on top of the larger package also gives a nice size comparison which looks adorable!

The ‘pages’ of the book have been recreated with thin lines along the side!

Hatsune Miku (Senbonzakura)

“Daitan-futeki ni haikara kakumei~ ♪”

The first word of this song, ‘Daitan-futeki’ means ‘audatious’… definitely a word I’m not very familiar with… How many of you were able to identify today’s figure just from the back or from the song lyrics? Today I’m going to be taking a look at one of FREEing’s upcoming products, the 1/8th scale…

Hatsune Miku (Senbonzakura)! ♡


From the popular Hatsune Miku song by Kurousa-P, ‘Senbonzakura’ comes a figure of Hatsune Miku in her unique outfit from the song! The figure is based on Itto Maru’s original illustration featuring Miku looking over her shoulder with her hand pointing in the shape of a gun, as if firing behind her.

All the details of her pose and design have been faithfully recreated, making sure Miku is ready to shoot right into the heart of her fans! The spirit of the song is already retained in the figure beautifully, but Rin and Len are also in production to display with her soon, allowing you to bring out the Senbonzakura atmosphere even more!

Oooohhh!! （*´▽｀*）♡

The long awaited figure from the Senbonzakura song is finally being officially announced! The long wait since her revealing at Summer WonFes 2013 is finally over… and it was definitely worth it!

Her long winding twintails are sculpted so beautifully, and the sleeves match them so beautifully! The green and purple go together so nicely!♪

Just like the song itself, the sculpt and paintwork give off a very nostalgic feeling! The dark sea-green color of her hair is very reminiscent of classic Japanese times. Her twintails actually have a slight gradient as well – they are ever so slightly lighter as you move to the tips! (｡・д・｡)

Let’s take a closer look at her back!

The traditional kanji for ‘one’ on her back looks great, and this angle gives a nice look at both her twintails and the back of her knees! ( -ﾉｪ-)

I also took great care to cover it up with her twintails… but I have to say that her skirt is rather short!!

Her pleated skirt also looks great, and also has the wind blowing across it! The overall dynamic feeling of the ‘wind’ on this figure is simply amazing! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Her rather unique shoes – a cross between high-laced boots and geta – are also amazingly detailed!

Personally though, I’ve really fallen in love with her knees… that little bump just makes me want to gently rub my finger down her legs… I can’t be the only one!

There is another part of her that I’d love to touch though…!

Yep! That sexy tummy sticking out from her outfit!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Her build as well as the soft looking skin make for a really appealing body! The combination of the soft looking skin and suspenders also make for some interesting contrast!

Lovely! Just Lovely!! ♪

By the way, her hat can also be attached and removed, allowing you to enjoy Miku with a slightly different atmosphere as well! (*´Д｀)=з

Being able to swap parts out for different looks definitely makes figures feel even more worth it! Become immersed in the Senbonzakura song by keeping this audacious Miku from FREEing by your side!

Snow Miku 2014: The ‘Spell Book Stand’ Revealed!

W-What is this…?! (((゜д゜;)))

I must admit I’m still stuck in holiday mode a little… but that’s not going to stop me from bringing everyone some new Snow Miku information!! (｀・ω・´)

I’m sure from the title and first photo you already have an idea of what I’ll be showing today… the very first look at the special stand included with the upcoming Nendoroid Snow Miku: Magical Snow Ver!

The Spell Book Stand!!

Oooh!!! It’s adorable!!! （*´▽｀*）

The product description for this Snow Miku says that she includes a ‘special spell book stand’ and I’m sure many wondered what that would be – it really is just that, a stand that looks just like a mystical spell book! You can see that compared with the Nendoroid itself, the book is rather large too!

It also appears to have such a lovely texture! It’s like a classic leather binding! If I ever entered a magic school this is exactly the kind of book I’d expect to find in their libraries! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

But with all that said…
How exactly is this book is a ‘stand’ for the Nendoroid?! (´・ω・｀)

(・∀・) “Allow me to explain!!”

Once again we are joined by Hamako from the planning team!

(・∀・) “This spell book can in fact open up like this!”

Oooh! It opens!! Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟﾉ)ﾉ!!

(・∀・) “The book has a hole to attach a Nendo prop, just like a standard Nendoroid stand!”

It’s like she is popping out from the book! So cute!! ♡

It also gives the Nendoroid quite an impressive presence with the sheer size of the base! No wonder it’s called a ‘special’ stand!

(・∀・) “But that’s not all! This stand has another secret!”

W-What…?!

What do you mean by another secret…?

(・∀・) “Take a look! ☆”

It opened up even more!! (ﾟ∀ﾟﾉ)!!

(・∀・) “Yep! The book has a secret area which can be used to store things in!”

From the outside it just looks like a magical tome, but it functions as both a Nendoroid stand and a storage container! You could even keep Snow Miku’s spare optional parts inside!” ♥

(・∀・) “We actually struggled quite a bit to get this looking ‘book-like'”

Oh yeah! Is the book actually made from leather?!


(・∀・) “Not quite. It’s actually made from paper that has undergone a special process to give it this unique leather-like appearance!”

Paper! How can paper have such a realistic leathery look!
Technology nowadays sure is amazing… (；´∀｀)

(・∀・) “Well as I said, it wasn’t easy… we went though many, many tests in order to get the quality and texture right. The first sample that came from the factory looked like crocodile skin… it was more of a wallet than a book!”

But through trial-and-error, it ended up as this ‘leather’ bound book! ε=(｡・д・｡)

(・∀・) “Yep! We also made a few other small book-like adjustments, like adding thin lines on the side to show all the pages, and adjusting the inside area to better match the cover!

Not to mention the shiny gold imprint on the cover!
It makes it all the more magical!

(・∀・) “When the final sample of the gold imprint came through, it looked just like a real spell book! I was so excited!”

I can see just how much you enjoyed working on this special stand and I’m sure everyone will love it! It ensures that this year’s Snow Miku is just as impressive in size and extras as last year’s! ♥

The Songstress of the Racing Circuit: Racing Miku 2013 ver.

I was never able to complete my driving lessons successfully, and ended up quitting half way though… I just couldn’t seem to get it right. (´；ω；｀)

But that aside, today we’re going to be taking a look at:

Racing Miku: 2013 ver.!

GSR&Studie with TeamUKYO took part in the GT300 class races of one Japan’s most well known motor races, the SUPER GT 2013, and they finished the season in third place! The main mascot character for the team is of course Racing Miku, who has been sculpted in a 1/8th scale for fans of both Miku and the racing team to enjoy.

Racing Miku 2013 was illustrated by saitom with costume design by Mari Shimazaki – both of their unique touches have been preserved on the figure to bring a high quality design and sculpt that fans will be proud to own!

S-She’s beautiful!! （*´▽｀*）

Down her slender arms, to the detailed nails on the tips of her fingers…


Not to mention her long, soft looking legs! ♪

She is such a treat for the eyes!!! ＜●＞＜●＞

Racing Miku’s 2013 Ver. was illustrated by saitom with a costume design by Mari Shimazaki, and this figure version has pulled out all the stops to ensure that the same charms from that illustration have all been preserved on the sculpt!

Racing Miku 2012 ver. had a more innocent and childish look which I definitely found very adorable… but the beautiful 2013 ver. has a much sexier look that is also to die for…! ε=(｡・д・｡) *nomnom*ﾞ

Her expression this time around has a very determined, confident feeling, mixed in with the cute Miku! This is how she looks from the back!♪

The gradient on her collar and heels has come out beautifully! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

The tips of her long twin tails also slowly fade to a clear PVC, which looks fantastic! The same clear effect can be seen on the area around her skirt!

All the movement that comes from her body being twisted has been faithfully preserved, giving the figure a rather dynamic feeling as well! Whilst playing around I decided that this was my best angle…

From this angle you can enjoy her armpits, hips, belly button and thighs all at the same time! (｀・ω・´)

The creases in her outfit around her hips and the line down to her thighs are both magnificent! Not to mention that cute little belly button you can make out from under her clothes! Her thighs look so realistic that I honestly thought they’d be soft when I touched them…

(・∀・) “People who have seen the left armpit will naturally want a good look at the right one too!”

A personal look into human psychology by GSC’s biggest Miku fan, Hamako!

(・∀・) “Just like the last Racing Miku, this one is packed with highlights! Take another photo from a low angle for everyone!”

Those smooth armpits and her belly button… Why is it that we get so exited seeing these areas we don’t normally get to see?!

(・∀・) “It is rather strange, isn’t it?”

What is your best part about the figure, Hamako?

(・∀・) “Personally I love the flow of her hair and the detail on her fingertips! From a straight on angle you can enjoy everything including the belly and armpits that you love so much!”


(・∀・) “But she is one of those figures that you really can enjoy from absolutely any angle, and I’d highly recommend doing so if you choose to pick her up! ♡”

Today I present everyone with some brand new Snow Miku news! A lot of the time Snow Miku is only associated with Nendoroids… but the time has come for her to join the figma series! Today I’ll be taking a look at none other than…

figma Snow Miku!! ♡♡

· The famous Snow Miku that was changed into a Nendoroid for the Sapporo Snow Festival is finally becoming a figma too!
· The newly designed original figma joints allow for better articulation, letting you create all sorts of different poses!
· She comes with an adorable smiling expression, a cheerful singing expression and a blushing expression.
· An attachable scarf and gloves are included, and she also comes with a snowman mascot holding a microphone.
· An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

I was constantly worried that Snow Miku may never become a figma… but this Winter figma fans like myself can rejoice!! Let’s have a word with the planner for the figma, Akane Eiseihei from Max Factory!

It has been a couple of years since the original Snow Miku became a Nendoroid…

(・∀・) “We did have loads of requests for figma Snow Miku… she uses the new dynamic joints that were used for figma Hatsune Miku 2.0, which will allow for all sorts of poses such as playing in the snow, singing or dancing!”

The singing expression seen here is very versatile too!
It can be used for much more than just singing poses!

How did you get such a unique looking expression, Akane-sensei?!

(・∀・) “I’d have to say the main difference is the eyebrows! They add a little bit of uncertainty to the expression which really pulls it together! There are many expressions with eyebrows in this shape, but not many combined with an embarrassed look – so it was something I really wanted to try!”

I see!! The eyebrows have such a strong effect! It really somehow seems to touch my heart more than most embarrassed expressions! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

The coloring is also fantastic! The gentle blue and white outfit as well as the gradient in the hair is lovely! (｀・ω・´)★
