Today I bring you some much awaited information!

Information about next year’s Snow Miku!!♡

The theme for 2014 is ‘Snow Miku x Magical Girl’! The design selected by viewers of the live broadcast was none other than this lovely Snow Miku…

The illustrator for this design was dera_fury!

The pet was a separate entry and the final winner was this adorable rabbit!


The pet was designed by nekosumi! ♪

The Magical Girl Nendoroid Snow Miku was sculpted by Hidetoshi Nishibu, the same sculptor as 2013’s Snow Miku! Just look how incredible she has come out!! ヽ(･ω･´(｀･ω･´)ﾉ｀･ω･)ﾉ！！！！

2014 is Snow Miku’s 5th anniversary year, and once again designs were added to the piapro website and the most popular was voted for on a live NicoNico Broadcast! The winning design of the 2014 Snow Miku was by dera_fury, who created a playful Snow Miku filled with magical girl charm! The pet to be included was a separate competition, and the selected design was ‘Rabbit Yukine’ illustrated by nekosumi – the two of them have now been transformed into the 2014 Nendoroid Snow Miku for a Winter that fans are sure to remember!

Included with the Nendoroid is a special stand, her magic wand, effect parts, a magic circle as well as sitting parts are also all included! She even comes with special arm parts to display her hugging Rabbit Yukine instead of just holding her! All the parts you’ll need for a truly magical experience with Snow Miku!!

Magical Girl Miku!! She’s finally here!!

I think I’m under her magic charm already!!

Today I’m joined by the head planner for Snow Miku… Hamako!!

(・∀・) “I was lucky enough to be put in charge of Snow Miku this year!”

The previous Snow Miku Nendoroids were all planned by Mikatan-sensei… she passed the baton on to you!

(・∀・) “I’m so happy to be involved! She has become a symbol for Winter!”

As with all Miku-related products, this one is filled with Hamako’s love! ♪

(・∀・) “Yep! This year she also has the magical girl theme, so we made sure to include things like magical symbols, wands and effect parts to bring out the magic even more!!

Hamako and I have come to the train section of the Sapporo transportation bureau! Earlier today from 10:00 to 14:00 there was a special display of them wrapping this street car up in Snow Miku fashion! (ΦωΦ)♥

Let me take a closer look at all the details… starting from the outside!






This street car has Miku’s Magic spell on it!!

It really does look quite magical! The glowing Snow Miku almost seems to be floating off the dark blue background! ♡ The use of color is magical!!

Magical Girl Snow Miku-san is here herself! ♡

Yep! This time we have the prototype of Nendoroid Snow Miku: Magical Snow Ver. on display in the street car!

Her hat is amazingly detailed! Just look at the snow flake accessory!

This is how her stand looks, it allows the magical circle to be inserted underneath for an even more magical appearance!♥


The starts on the inside of the circle are linked with the position of the cities in Hokkaido! Yay! All the details on the original design have been preserved – even the musical note clasp you see here!


The cute rabbit with a giant scarf is also adorable!! ♪


His name is ‘Rabbit Yukine’! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Phew…! Now I’m satisfied with my trip!　ヾ(´∀｀*)ﾉ


By the way, this street car will be running as a normal street car from the 18th November until the 28th March 2014! The notices on the train will even be provided by Hatsune Miku’s voice actor, Saki Fujita! ♪

Nendoroid Suruga Kanbaru & Snow Miku 2014 Debut Event

I recently had to add a extra blanket to my futon… it’s really starting to get chilly at night now! It’s nice and warm with my blankie though!

Today I’ve got a couple of topics to get through… but of course first up is my review of the Nendoroid I showed off briefly yesterday…

Nendoroid Suruga Kanbaru!

From the popular anime series ‘Bakemonogatari’ comes a Nendoroid of Suruga Kanbaru! Optional parts include one of the key items from Kanbaru’s story, the ‘Devil’s Paw’ as well as a basketball to show her off as the ace of the Basketball Club!

An entranced expression, a number of books and sitting parts are also included to pose her absorbed in her reading – all sorts of parts allowing you to recreate various scenes from the series! Be sure to display her with the other figures in the series to fully recreate the Bakemonogatari universe!

The third Nendoroid from Bakemonogatari, Kanbaru! ♥

Just this one photo makes her look like a sporty girl… but I’m sure most of us know she has many other sides to her than just that! She’s also a lovely, bright hentai-san! ＜●＞＜●＞!! Nom nom!

You can also display her with Nendoroid Hitagi Senjougahara to complete the…

Black leggings! (・∀・) Yay!!

I never really understood the appeal of short leggings like this until I met Kanbaru! She changed my mind though! ♥

However! Kanbaru comes with more extras than just her basketball!

First up… the Devil’s Arm!

This monkey-like arm plays some rather important toles in the ‘Suruga Monkey’ story… I can’t go into much detail here, but it’s definitely a part that had to be included with Kanbaru! (´□｀｡)

The hair-like appearance has been sculpted nicely, giving it a lovely mismatched appearance!

It’s a rather unusual part to be included with a Nendoroid! ((((；ﾟДﾟ))))

Unusual… but in a way that definitely suits Bakemonogatari!

(・∀・) “Ooh! Kanbaru! She’ll be up for preorder soon!”

We’re joined by Kanbaru’s planner, Otanaka-shi!

(・∀・) “Let me introduce my favorite expression part…!”


(・∀・) “Her confident laughing expression!”

Ooh! It suits her so well, particularly in this pose! （*´▽｀*）♥

(・∀・) “I don’t think there are many characters that this expression would work on… but it suits Kanbaru perfectly!”

Agreed! I think the expression will also suit her well posed with the basketball!


(・∀・) “I also recommend displaying her with Gahara-san!”


Ooh! You can really bring out Kanbaru’s playful side with this expression! ♪

(・∀・) “She also has another expression part!”


She looks completely entranced reading her lovely selection of books! ♥

(・∀・) “Yep! Using this expression you can pose her absorbed in her… ‘special’ books!”

This means you can take a similar pose to the scale figure of Kanbaru, based on the 3rd volume jacket illustration of the Blu-ray and DVD!

Not to mention that you get sitting parts! I love sitting parts!! ♪

(・∀・) “All the books in the photo above will be included with the Nendoroid!”


Five sets of three, two sets of two and a single… 20 closed books are included with the Nendoroid! Not to mention she also has one open book to hold!


I really like this expression! She really looks completely absorbed by the book…

(・∀・) “The books can be positioned around Kanbaru however you like! You can recreate her room with the books in all the right places!


(I almost couldn’t help myself from trying to look between those inviting legs…)

An exchangeable arm, sitting parts, two expressions and a load of books… I’m sure fans will be most satisfied! (*´Д｀)=з

(・∀・) “There is actually still one more optional part! An effect part!”

Ooh! This must be the B-Dash!


(・∀・) “Kanbaru is known as the ‘Godspeed Angel’, and these parts help show that in Nendoroid size!”

But, but…! If I can recreate the B-Dash, then I also want to recreate the 2nd story jump… and then I need a Nendoroid Koyomi Araragi! (´；ω；｀)

(・∀・) “… the other heroines are all planned for release! You can look forward to them!”

But if I don’t have Araragi-kun… how do I recreate the harem?!

(・∀・) “R-Right, well… I’m sure we’ll get to him at some point!”

Also… ever since I saw that Devil’s Hand I’ve been waiting to attach a certain expression to her…!

1/8th Scale Racing Miku 2012 ver.

The other day when I was at Magical Mirai 2013, I met the lovely race queens of the GSR team! ♡

They’re wearing the 2013 ver. Racing Miku outfit, but there is of course another race queen in the 2012 outfit who is scheduled to start shipping out from GSC on the 11th September!

1/8th Scale Racing Miku 2012 ver.! ♪

‘GSR&Studie with TeamUKYO’ is a racing team that took part in the 2012 season SUPER GT300. The official mascot of the team, ‘Racing Miku’ was designed by GAN, and has now been transformed into a 1/8th scale figure for fans to enjoy! It’s a figure filled with highlights such as her unique transparent costume, detailed paintwork throughout the figure, and the dynamic sculpting of her hair!

She’s so adorable!! ♡♥♡

I personally love her shiny looking eyes!

Her long, flowing twin tails are also beautiful!


The figure makes use of very soft, pastel colors which give her a very gentle appearance! The box also makes use of similar light colors! ー(*´Д`)


The curves from her bottom up her back are lovely!!

It was hard to resist rubbing my finger along the smooth looking skin…

She truly is the songstress of the racing circuit!

Hatsune Miku Goods!

Today I’m at the Yokohama Arena for Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2013! I’m helping out with product sales, so I thought I’d dedicate this blog to looking at some of the Hatsune Miku goods! Let’s start off with…

Adorable little figures based on illustrations by Y-Oji, Souno and Putidevil! They’re all so cute!

My personal favorite is Hatsune Miku: Fluffy ver.!


This Miku is attached to a strap making it easy to use with the iPhone 5 too! It even has a hook so you could attach it to a zip or something else instead!

I just saw GSC’s resident Miku lover and the head planner for these earphone jacks is wandering around the offices, so lets see if she has anything to add!

Here she is displayed with some of the previously released Vocaloid figmas!

Yesterday I briefly touched on her new looks and what had changed, but today I hope to somehow explain just how amazingly posable she is!! This is going to be a fun blog to write!! ヽ(゜∀゜)ノ

figma Hatsune Miku 2.0

The commemorative figma No.200 is none other than an upgraded version of everyone’s favorite idol – Hatsune Miku!

The newly designed figma joints allow for all sorts of different poses and superior articulation helps bring out Hatsune Miku’s cute side more than ever before! She comes with an adorable smiling expression, an embarrassed expression and a singing expression with a playful wink. Optional parts include a microphone and stand, a guitar and even a pair of angelic wings!

This year also marks the 5th anniversary of the figma series! It’s such a strange feeling to know I was one of the people involved with the series since it began so long ago! I remember giving out chocolates on the day that figma 001: Nagato-san was released! (It was Valentine’s Day!)

This is how she looks from the back!

The figma series was created under the concept of trying to blend the best parts of articulated figures and scale figures together. Back when it started I think it achieved this goal just fine, but as the figma numbers have increased they’ve been increasing in quality over and over again !

Just look how lovely the reverse side of Miku looks here – you’d never think she was so incredibly posable! It’s such a satisfying feeling to create your own original pose and put it on display for everyone to see! （´∀｀）

You can even pose her sitting down!

Look at that adorable upward gaze!! I’m sure this is exactly how Miku relaxes at home, and now she can relax by your side! Your dream life together with Miku-san is now possible!! (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3

This pose shows off the latest advancements in the figma series!


Stretches with Rin-chan!!

For comparison I’ve brought my very own Rin-chan to join Miku today! I’m sure those of you who own previous figmas will already know from looking at the picture, but let me explain some of the larger changes!

(ﾟ∀ﾟ) The shoulder and arms are much more posable!

Rin-chan can only go as far as putting her arms straight ahead like in the photo above, but Miku can tuck them in much further in front of herself! By playing around with the shoulders you can also create much more acrobatic poses and even cross the arms! Not to mention the arms can also rotate around to the back as well!

(ﾟ∀ﾟ) Her hips and back are now movable!

Rin-chan can move her hips to the left and right, but she isn’t able to shift her body forward and backward… but as you can see Miku-san is able to bend her body over forward so that her arms can touch the floor! I think this is the biggest change for me – it’s amazing what you can do with it!!
It also allows for much more natural-looking, less rigid poses!

(ﾟ∀ﾟ) The base of her neck is now movable!

figmas have always been able to move their entire heads in any direction, but with figma #200 the neck itself is on a separate joint as well! You’d be amazed how much this changes things! The Miku in the photo above has her her neck leaning forward to put her in a stretch-like pose!

By the way Rin-chan… I’m sorry for giving you a horrible role in this photo!
Let’s hope that Max Factory will be kind enough to give you a renewal too!!

Miku-san holding her guitar at a concert!

The guitar included as an optional part is just as incredibly detailed as the figma itself! The gradient applied around the edges is beautiful!!

She also comes with various hand parts, one of which includes a guitar pick to pose her like this! The pick is the same color as her hair! (*゜∀゜)

Posed with a twist in her hips!

This pose has her upper body turned toward the left and her lower body turned to the right to create a twisted look! It creates a really nice dynamic appearance! The previous figma Miku didn’t really allow for these kind of dynamic scenes, but now you can pose her ready to perform!!

An angel from above!!

Everyone knows that Miku is an angel, so these clear angel wings had to be included to prove it! Three wings on each side for a total of six beautiful wings!!

There is actually another new posing element included in this photo as well, but it might be a little hard to see…

(ﾟ∀ﾟ) The wrists now use ball-joints!!

figma hand joints have only been able to move up and down relative to the palm of the hand in the past, but now they’ve been changed into ball joints to be placed at any angle you want! (It’s basically a smaller version of a Nendoroid joint!)

The finer positioning of the hands is something I think is very important on figures, so this is also an amazing change!

She must have descended from the heavens!

Even in the photo you can see the divine aura surrounding Miku-san!! The center connection of the wings can also be moved to slightly alter their angle too, allowing you to create the perfect angel to stand by your side! (`・ω・´)

She also has a microphone and stand!

A guitar and wings were already amazing enough, but she even comes with a mike and mike stand to pose her singing too!

#200 has really pulled out all the stops!! It’s a product that has really had a load of love poured into it, creating a product that fans are sure to be happy with! ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ

Finally, I want to add a quick word with the New Miku-san’s creator, Koshinuma-san A.K.A. Nuuman! (=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ

Following on from Miku Append, I was put in charge of sculpting work on figma #200: Hatsune Miku 2.0. With the release of #200 the biggest factor of the figma, the ‘inner frame’ has been upgraded with new shoulder and arm slide joints, as well as a change to ball-joints for the wrists – mostly just a lot of minor changes, but they all come together to help you reach the poses that just weren’t possible in the past. (The other theory is that we wanted to allow Kaneko-san to pose his figmas in the sexy crawling pose he always dreamed of…)

The addition of the new joints has also made the figma a little bit bigger than the previous Miku, but I think that the size still fits in with the previously released Rin, Len and Luka without looking out of place at all. We hope to start using these new joints in even more areas as we continue to develop the figma series further. We’re at #200 now, but things will only get better as we move on, so look forward to future developments!

figma Hatsune Miku 2.0 (Part 1)

Only 10 days left until WonFes!!

Another big thank you to everyone who came through to the booth in February! WonFes is a really important event for us as it allows us to see all the fans reactions in person and get a good feeling for how everyone feels for all the figures we’ve been working on!

The upcoming WonHobby 18 booth will be filled with many different ways to enjoy yourself, so if you have the time be sure to stop by the booth and have some fun! (´ω｀）人(´ω｀）

But going back to the photo… it’s finally time for this figma that debuted at the last WonFes to be officially announced!

She’s finally here!! ━(ﾟ∀ﾟ≡(ﾟ∀ﾟ≡ﾟ∀ﾟ)≡ﾟ∀ﾟ)━!!!!!

I’ve managed to get my hands on an angel here!! As with any prototype, I always need to be super careful so I don’t normally hold them like directly in my hand like this… but today I decided a picture like this was necessary! The reason for this is simple…

I wanted everyone to remember just how small figmas are!! (`･ω･´)

They’re probably smaller than most people tend to think, but the quality is simply outstanding!! The photos of her are likely to be on the same level as a scale figure, so I first wanted to ensure that everyone was aware of the size as they go through this review!

Compared with the previous figma Miku!

The Miku on the left is the old Miku, the one on the right is Miku 2.0! It’s like a little game of spot the difference, but I’m sure you can already see a number of changes!

Overall the new Miku is slightly bigger (although note that prototypes are bigger in general, so she won’t be quite as big in the end), the detail on her hair and twin-tails has been increased substantially and the silver apperance of her outfit has been reworked together with the patterns on her skirt… and of course a rework of the sculpt that pays attention to the smallest of details!

But Miku 2.0 isn’t just beautiful, she can also be posed in so many different ways!! (((ﾟДﾟ)))

I can’t explain this very well without having everyone try for themselves, but hopefully my photos will help prove just how many cute poses you can make!

Remember she is only a hand-sized figure, yet she still looks so incredible!! Max Factory’s sculpting work really is something else – I really think it is some of the top sculpting in the world!

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Yukata Ver. Natsutsubaki

There are currently events going on in both France and America!!

They’re both taking place from the 4th to the 7th July 2013!

France (Paris): Japan Expo 2013
America (LA): ANIME EXPO 2013

Both GSC and Max Factory staff are taking part in the events as well! The photo above is from the event hall at ANIME EXPO 2013!! This was from the day before the event so it’s quiet now… but I’m sure it’s super busy by now!

The Nendo I introduced yesterday ‘Nendoroid Maiko Madoka’ as well as the ‘Nendoroid Yukata Miku’ I’ll be introducing today are both on sale at these international events! Plus they will also be available at CCG Expo to be held in Shanghai at a later stage!! (`･ω･´)

These two have become the ambassadors for Japan at these overseas events!!

They’ll also be available for online order for those in other countries!

Online orders will start on Monday the 8th of July!

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Yukata Ver. Natsutsubaki!

From the ‘Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku’ comes a Nendoroid of Hatsune Miku wearing a all-new red yukata! The lovely yukata has a design which makes use of the ‘natsutsubaki’ flower, and her famous twin-tails are just as cute as ever! Even during the hot summer, Miku is ready to perform for everyone!

She comes with three different expressions including a standard smiling face, a charming winking expression and a chibi drooling face for all the delicious food she’ll find during the Summer festivals! She also comes with some extra items to ensure she has fun at the festival, including a candy apple and a balloon yo-yo!

Miku-san is wearing a yukata once again this year, and this time it’s a lovely vibrant red! (*ﾟ∀ﾟ*)

Last year she was wearing a darker blue, but this time she is in a bright red, which has a girlish, playful charm to it making her look adorable!

It also features lovely prints of the Natsutsubaki (Summer Camellia) flower all over it, which really brings out the festival feeling! Not to mention that she has the same flower in her hair as well!

This one is a lot simpler than yesterday’s Madoka… but of course that also means she doesn’t cost as much!! Σ(=゜ω゜=）

She’s the kind of Nendoroid that really looks amazing just as is, so you really don’t need to swap out too many parts! But if you want to you can always borrow parts from other Nendoroids for even more fun!

This is how she looks from the back!

Ahh! Miku-san’s hair accessories matches with the color of the yukata so nicely!!

I’m guessing that the yellow sash is made in the image of the yellow center of the Natsutsubaki flower… she really puts so much thought into her wardrobe! ^^

“Have you been waiting?” “Nope, just got here!”

…is the scene I was trying to capture with this pose!
But no matter what you do, you should never make Miku-san wait!! ( ｀Д´)/

The winking expression has a little bit of a mature charm to it… just looking at it gets my heart start racing!!

“I… I want one of those!!”

It seems Miku-san has found something she likes!! I know I’d be happy to buy her absolutely anything she wanted!! The chibi ‘drooling’ face so cute it so cute that it makes me want to drool as well! 😛

It seems the things she wanted were this balloon yo-yo and candy apple!! She looks really satisfied now that she has them!

The pattern on the yo-yo is amazing and the candy apple has a lovely shine to it that makes it look just like the real thing! Σ(゜∀゜*)

These can both be held by Miku, and are both items that are almost always found at Japanese Summer Festivals – so they suit the theme perfectly!

Madoka and Miku have swapped kimonos!

It’s amazing how much they change just by swapping out the bodies!! Being able to make changes like this so easily is one of favorite things about Nendoroids!

Looking at these two Nendoroids has reminded me just how lovely girls look in kimonos… If you decide to pick them up, then be sure to take them out with you to the Summer festivals! (=゜ω゜)ノ

Hatsune Miku: Deep Sea Girl ver.!

From Yuuyu-P’s popular song with over a million views on Nico Nico Douga, ‘Deep Sea Girl’ comes a 1/8th scale of Hatsune Miku! The figure is based on the beautiful illustration by Haruyo, drawn in commemoration of the song being selected as a part of the Million Saisei & EXIT TUNES PRESENTS vocalodream album.

Miku is posed sitting at the bottom of the deep sea, with her beautiful pale skin contrasting with her jet black dress. Her hair and the coral around her gently sways in the ocean current, beautifully painting an underwater scene for fans to enjoy.

She has come out looking absolutely stunning!!

The sculpting, paintwork, base and smaller parts like the coral reefs are all perfect!

This figure managed to get the most views during the ‘Owarema 10’ that look place during the live WonHobby broadcast in February! It’s also the product that GSC has been diligently working on this entire year!

Today I’ll be giving everyone a closer look at all the areas on the figure that I like the most! There are quite a few photos, so take your time and enjoy!

But before I begin the review… (・ω・)ﾉ
Here is the original illustration by Haruyo-san!

Miku under the sea… she’s absolutely beautiful! Just look at her hair and dress floating about in the water as she sits on some coral covered rocks! Everything that makes this illustration so special has been transformed into figure form wonderfully – both fans of ‘Deep Sea Girl’ as well as those who are just figure fans will be in awe when they see this lovely figure in person!

Such an angelic smile!

Her head is tilted slightly to the side with such a gentle smiling expression.
She really looks just like an angel!! (*゜∀゜)=3

It’s so gentle that I actually get a bit of a motherly feeling from it… I imagine this is what the smile of the holy mother would look like!

Her dainty feet are also lovely!

The right foot is stretched out, while the left foot is curled a little inward… but both of them have such intricate toes! If you look really close you can even see she has a very light pink pedicure! The detail is unbelievable!

While it’s quite hard to see in this photo, you can even make out the anklebone when you look close up! It looks fantastic!

This is how she looks from above!

You get a really good feeling for the volume from this angle! She’s huge!! (゜∀゜)

But even more important than the size is the fact that the overall balance of the figure and use of space all comes together so nicely! This is what separates a good sculptor from a great one!

The line from her neck down her back is lovely!

Just looking at the thin neck and shoulders makes me want to jump at her from behind and give her a hug!! The pale, soft looking skin has a nice feminine feeling to it as well! （*´∀｀*）

Once again I have to point out the fluttering hem of the dress as well as her twisting twin-tails! You can see them nicely from this angle!

Let’s try a bit of a lower angle!

Looking down on Miku from above is a wonderful way to enjoy all the details, but looking up at her from below gives you the feeling that you’re under the water together with her! I quite like the view from down here!

My eyes seem to wander straight toward her lower legs when I look at this photo! They’re so smooth and shiny!!

Unbelievably detailed fingertips! Σ(ﾟДﾟ;）

How can just looking at her fingers be so captivating?!

The way her hands are put together, the angles of her wrists and those dainty little fingers… they look even more realistic than a real girl’s hands!! Plus the contrast that comes from the black dress and the pale skin is fantastic, and just look at that slight sunken area below her collarbone…

She’s beautiful… simply beautiful!!! (´ー`)

She’ll show you a number of expressions!

Depending on the angle you choose to look at her from, the feeling behind her expression can change quite drastically. Plus Miku herself isn’t the only part of this figure, the coral reefs and rocks around her that create her stand are also lovely, and the paintwork is incredible! (((ﾟДﾟ)))

This figure has every bit of GSC’s skill and technique put into it, making a one-of-a-kind figure! If you decide to pick her up, be sure to take your time and enjoy her from every possible angle you can find!

What part do you like the most about her?

I just want to say “Everything!” when I see a question like that. 😛

But if I had to pick something, I’d say that the legs and armpits are my absolute best parts! I’m also quite fond of the shadowed areas where her skin meets the black dress – particularly around her breast area. Aki, the president of GSC, said his favorite part was the her spine!
