Sakura Saber

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

This morning the cold caused me to wake up earlier than normal… but I quickly grabbed all my blanket which had been pushed aside, snuggled up and fell back asleep! It was so comfy and warm!!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a product that went up for order today:

The 1/8th Scale:
Sakura Saber!

From the Holy Grail War that featured in ‘Koha-Ace EX’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the mysterious yet beautiful Knight-class servant – Sakura Saber!

The hakama she is wearing has been faithfully sculpted in great detail, and makes use of a beautiful gradient of pinks and reds, showing just why she is known as Sakura Saber. She holds her beloved sword drawn as if posed slicing through the air – a dynamic pose that fans are sure to enjoy by their side!

Oooooooohhh!! (*´Д｀)

The original servant from Koha-Ace, Sakura Saber! ♡

An all new Saber from Takashi Takeuchi following on from the white, blacks and reds from the past! This version has a lovely Japanese feeling to her, as she swings her sword ‘Kojiki Kiyomitsu’ with a bright smile on her face!

The combination of Japanese clothing and Western boots makes a lovely outfit! ♪

Definitely a style that suits my personal tastes! The way that outfit is sculpted really makes it look like real fabric! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Not only do the creases in her outfit look lovely, but the gradient along her outfit has also been preserved beautifully!

Her left hip also has a lovely little cherry blossom print! It’s very cute! ♪

A view from the back gives a better feeling for how her sleeves are fluttering about! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The lower area of the Hakama is also taken up by the wind, showing off her lovely legs!!

The reverse side of her knees look so good! It’s nice to see a little bit of bare skin even on an outfit that doesn’t show much! (´∀｀*)

Anyway, moving on from her legs… next up are her hands! <○><○>

Everything is so very detailed! Just look at the wrapping of the sword’s handle… and her fingertips!

The figure actually has a very realistic feeling to it! ♪
Another thing I have to point out is her adorable smile! ♡

A sweet and gentle figure of beauty!

Sakura Saber’s character is portrayed with the figure beautifully! I find it hard to imagine such a graceful character would ever need to fight in real battles! (´□｀｡)

While the pose is a fairly simple standing pose, there are a number of highlights that really make her stand out! She is one of those figures that is such a pleasure to look at from almost any angle! ♥︎

This Autumn, the ‘Happy Kuji: Hatsune Miku 2014 Autumn Ver.’, a raffle that gives you a change to grab exclusive Hatsune Miku character goods will be run at FamilyMart, TSUTAYA and animate stores across Japan. The ‘A’ prize is a special Autumn-themed version of Hatsune Miku: Lat-type Ver.!

Hatsune Miku: Lat-type Ver. back in an Autumn themed outfit!

I never thought I’d be lucky enough to cross paths with another beautiful Lat-san glasses Miku! The argyle pattern and orange hems of her knee-high socks really bring out the Autumn theme! °・(ノД｀)・°・

The fresh design was decided on with both Lat-san and the head planner, Hamako! It also has a more matte finish which adds an autumn texture as well! ♡

Even the stand has been altered for the new design!
The Autumn leaves have fallen to the ground beneath her! ♪

No matter where you look, you can see exactly why this is an ideal product for the Autumn Kuji!

Even her hair and accessories have had their colors adjusted!

Her hair is a lighter mint green instead of the normal turquoise green! It also uses semi-transparent parts giving the whole figure a lighter appearance! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The wallet chain and skirt have also been recoloured and repatterned! ★

The color scheme is also very fitting for the Halloween months as well! It has a very fresh feeling to it! Her glasses have also switched to an orange frame, and just like before they can of course be removed whenever you like!

They’re rather delicate and small parts, so the box includes a spare pair as well!

Just like the original Hatsune Miku: Lat-type Ver. she also comes with two different microphones to choose from! ♪

We’re already into the second week of October, but it’s still quite warm! I get the feeling that if I let my guard down it’ll be cold in no time though! (((゜д゜;)))

This super round form is so adorable!!

CHANxCO’s designs have once again been transformed into adorable products, this time as the C and B prizes! ♪
Even the underside of Miku has a neck tie while Luka has a little motif!

By the way, Luka’s little tail also moves about!

They’re not only cute, but also useful!

The ears can be used to hold up memos!

I can see myself using them to leave messages like “Going home at X o’clock” or “Headed out to lunch”! (･ω･)b

Nendoroid Erica Fontaine & Koubu-F2

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

The typhoon has passed leaving a beautiful blue sky… the trains are still running behind schedule, but at least I get to wait in nicer weather!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Erica Fontaine & Koubu-F2!

From the popular game ‘Sakura Wars 3’ comes a Nendoroid of the cheerful nun in the Flower Division of Groupe Fleur de Paris, Erica Fontaine! She comes complete with a Nendoroid-sized version of her Koubu suit, the Koubu-F2!

Optional parts include both her cross-shaped machine gun for combat poses and maracas to display her famous ‘Good Morning’ dance scene! The Koubu-F2 has an openable hatch and Erica can even be posed riding inside – an alternate body part is even included to display her in her combat uniform! She also comes with a shouting expression, creating a powerful and confident appearance as she rides into battle!

Ooooooohhh!! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Erica is joining the Nendoroids dressed in her beautiful red habit, with her long chestnut hair flowing around her!

Her hair and outfit also look amazing from the back!

Her single braid at the back is fitted with a joint to swing to the left and right, allowing you to alter the angle to match your poses! (ﾉ｀・∀・)ﾉ

In her hands she holds her faithful sub-machine gun, Raphael! ♫

Every part down to the gun barrel has had careful detail put into it!

She also comes with special hand parts to display her holding it in this pose! There are still lots more optional parts to come though! *(*´∀｀*)

She even includes the maracas for her ‘Good Morning’ dance! ♥︎

＼Good Morning Oogami-san, Hey~! ♪／

Definitely one of the more cute and memorable scenes of Erica… but she also comes with an expression to show her more serious side! (｀・ω・´)

Her Shouting Expression! ♡

With this expression on her face, you can almost forget just how clumsy she is! She looks so much more serious!

If you combine this expression with the maracas…

It doesn’t look like a very fun dance any more!

But the best part to combine this expression with is of course the biggest optional part… the Koubu-F2! ★

Ooohh!! It looks so awesome!! (´□｀｡)

The Koubu-F2 based on designs left behind by Kohran Li from the Teikoku Kagekidan, and put together and improved by the Chattes Noires mechanic team! Now in cute Nendoroid size!

But even in Nendoroid size, all its charms have been preserved!

For instance… if you take a look at his left shoulder you’ll see the cross design painted on! I really love it when Nendoroids comes with huge optional parts like this – it’s like a whole extra figure to play with! ( ・ﾉｪ・)

The Gatling Arm ‘Gabriel‘ looks rather imposing too!

Even the ammunition and little details over the gun have been included! (･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ

The top hatch can also be opened up for her to ride inside!

Not only that, but she also comes with an alternate body part to display her in her combat armor!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Even the wing parts on the Koubu are also fitted with joints to flap around!!

Display everything from serious combat poses down to everyday gentle smiles!

Minicchu: Love Live

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

My eyes are getting itchy due to my pollen allergies… I use eye drops all the time which makes it constantly look like I’ve been crying…!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a product recently announced by Phat! Company:

Minicchu: Love Live!

From the popular anime series Love Love! comes a second set of idols based on the adorable illustrations of Kengou Yakumo, here to join the chibi Minicchu series of figures from Phat! Company.

The set features all nine members including Honoka Kousaka, Umi Sonoda, Kotori Minami, Eli Ayase, Nico Yazawa, Nozomi Tojo, Maki Nishikino, Rin Hoshizora and Hanayo Koizumi all dressed up in their stage outfits from μ’s 5th single ‘Wonderful Rush’. Be sure to collect them all!

They’re all so cute!! (*´Д｀)=з

Each of the nine members of μ’s are dressed up in adorable outfits that make them look a bit like cute cabin attendants! ♪

I can just picture the PV of them dancing in these outfits playing through my head! As usual, the adorable illustrations by Kengou Yagumo have been transformed into figures perfectly! ♥︎

Each of the character’s outfit designs differ, and each of those changes has of course been faithfully kept on the figures! The details on their accessories and hats! (｀・ω・´)

The sculpting of each of their hair is also fantastic!

Even though they are so small, the feeling of movement in the way their hair is sculpted gives them a very dynamic feeling. It really brings across the lively feeling of μ’s! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Even from the back they are filled with life! ♪

It is always a challenge on deciding how far to take the detail when making figures this small! Obviously they can’t be too detailed based on the size, but at the same time you don’t want them to be too simple – figures need a bit of detail to give them that special something! (´□｀｡)

It must have been hard to get such a cute balance with these Minicchus!

The series really preserves the chibi appearance while still giving such a nice level of detail to the characters! Definitely a set of figures that fans will be happy with!

Medicchu KanColle: Shimakaze

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I recently changed from Short Sleeve Ver. to Semi-short Sleeve Ver.! I don’t think it’ll be long until Long Sleeve Ver. either!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure by Phat! Company announced the other day.

Medicchu KanColle: Shimakaze!♪

From the popular game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a figure of the destroyer ‘Shimakaze’, based on an illustration by Kengou Yagumo – ready to join the adorable ‘Medicchu’ series of chibi figures!

The large ribbon tied in her hair, the “Z-flag” string bikini and all the other characteristic parts of her character have been faithfully included on the Medicchu! Three Rensouhou-chans are also included!

Ooooooooooohhhh!! (´□｀｡)

Zekamashi-chan is finally here to join the ongoing Medicchu series! ♡

Plus she also comes with three Rensouhou-chans as well!! ♪

Once again Kengou Yagumo’s chibi illustration was so very adorable, and the figure has kept that cute feeling perfectly!

Although though all of the cuteness, her ship parts still look nice and mechanical, creating that contrast that KanColle fans have come to love!

Taking a look from the back, you can see her 5-tube torpedo launcher has been faithfully included! (*´Д｀)=з

The lovely black string between her uniform and skirt!

From the front you can’t really get a good look at her string bikini, but that’s just one of the many wonders of figures! You can spin the around 360 degrees to get a look from wherever you like! ♪

Each of the Rensouhou-chans are very intricately made!

Zekamashi-chan is cute, but be sure to give Rensouhou-chan attention too! ★

Hmm… is that who I think it is?!

Nendoroid Shoyo Hinata

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I will openly admit that I have absolutely no innate sense for ball games and sports. I was always hoping that my school sports days would be rained out… even now those days remain a wonderful memory to be!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at:

Nendoroid Shoyo Hinata! ♪

From the popular anime and manga series ‘Haikyuu!!’ comes a Nendoroid of Karasuno High School Volleyball Club’s ultimate decoy, Shoyo Hinata! He comes with three different expressions including a cheerful smiling face, a confident expression as well as a super excited face.

He comes with a variety of optional parts such as a volleyball and net parts allowing you to pose him just as he is about to spike the ball! He also comes with a special base made in the image of a volleyball court! Enjoy having Hinata run along the court in Nendoroid size!!

Oooooohhh!! ヽ(*´∀｀*)ﾉ

Haikyuu’s Hinata is finally here to join the Nendoroids! ♪

I know that many of you have been waiting patiently ever since his unpainted prototype was announced! Karasuno High School Volleyball Club’s ultimate decoy has of course been sculpted wearing his volleyball jersey! He might be small, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a huge threat in a volleyball game! ♥︎

That smile is so bright and cheerful!!

Let’s see how he looks from the back! ♪

The design of the jersey even including the knee supporters… even his volleyball have all been shrunk down into Nendoroid size! His spiky orange hairstyle has also been preserved very faithfully!

Hinata can take all sorts of dynamic poses!

From running, to jumping, to spiking the ball!!

Let’s take a look at some of these poses! (｀・ω・´)ﾉ

1) Running!

Displaying him with his arms outstretched together with the included bent leg gives an image of Hinata running along the court!

2) Jumping!

A Nendoroid joint is included in his hips, allowing you to easy take an amazing jumping pose like this! ♪

3) Focused!

Here we have Hinata’s second expression – his serious expression, perfect for concentrating on the game! The smiling face was more than enough for me, but this shows off a completely different side of Hinata’s personality that is just as important! It’s nice to have the option of a more serious Hinata while he is playing! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

4) Spiking!

Special arm parts are included to pose him as if he has just spiked the ball, making this also a very easy pose to create! Perfect for someone like me who has trouble making cool poses! ♪

5) Score!!

An excited face just sparking with happiness!

Ah!! He is so cute! You’re too cute Hinata!!

This expression was the favorite of the figure’s planner, Shuu-chan-senpai! ♪

He’ll be available for fans to own shortly!

I personally really wanted to show off this expression to everyone for ages… I’m so glad I finally got it off my chest! _(°ω°｣ ∠)_

Looking at that expression captures such a purity that really shows just how much Hinata loves volleyball!! (/ω＼)

Anyway, as I’m sure many of you have noticed, the above photos featured some net parts! But Hinata actually only comes with half of the net – the other half will be included with the next Nendoroid in the series!

Another thing you may have noticed is the Volleyball Court Base! (｀・ω・´)
Making use of this base instantly brings out the atmosphere of the series! ♪

Another thing I accidentally found out…

He can also be used to hold up your smartphone!

As long as you can get the prop into just the right position it allows for a rather unique display method! φ(．． )

There are various other optional arm and leg parts as well!!
There are so many different poses you can enjoy! ♡

For example!

Nendoroid Naruko Aoba

When I was in primary school, I spent a very short time as a resident of Sendai! Today’s figure reminded me of the large decorations used there for Tanabata!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a product that went up today…

Nendoroid Naruko Aoba!♪

From the popular application, game and anime series, ‘Magica Wars’ comes a Nendoroid of Naruko Aoba! She comes with three expressions including an adorable smiling face, a confident winking expression and a chibi face to pose her swinging her mace around wildly!

The mace ‘Tanikaze’ is included along with her familiar ‘Takesuzume’. Even one of the enemy Magatsuhi is included to really bring out the atmosphere of the Magica Wars universe! Recreate your favorite scenes from the series!

Oooooooooohhh!!! (｡・д・｡)

An adorable magical girl with a cute outfit filled with elements from Miyagi prefecture! Naruko-chan is joining the Nendoroids! ♪

The hair accessory on top of her head and red ribbons on her arms are made in the image of the Miyagi Prefecture emblem! The hemming frills on her skirt and long streamers in her hair based on the Sendai Tanabata festival decorations have all been very beautifully shrunk down into Nendoroid size! Her colorful polka-dot skirt is based on Date Masamune’s jinbaori! ♪

It’s a very cute magical girl outfit even though it is filled with references to the actual Miyagi Prefecture! Nyaruko-chan’s weapon is a mace based on a ‘Kokeshi’ Japanese doll too!

She might be a Magical Girl, but she fights by swinging this around all over! (´∀｀)The mace is called ‘Tanikaze’, and her ultimate attack is to attack in full swing causing a huge amount of wind pressure to defeat her enemies!

As she is a magical girl, she also has a familiar!
Naruko’s familiar is Takesuzume! (。・ω・)ノ

I can hear his encouraging voice just by looking at these photos! The photo also shows the lovely smiling face as her second expression! ♪

It’s a little bit covered in my scribbles though! Sorry!

There were so many things I wanted to explain, but the movements are hard to explain without the image!! The circled areas in the photo are Nendoroid joints allowing the hair accessories to be moved in various directions, and then half way down is another joint that allows the streamer parts to be posed closer or further apart for even more options!

In most cases the accessories really stand out and perhaps even take away a bit from Naruko herself… but by changing the angle and position of them you can make a lot less noticeable if you wish! ★

However you can also pose them in even more dynamic poses… something that matches this chibi expression perfectly! ♪

The comical effect of this expression is simply lovely! I can’t help but crack a little smile! The cute little Magatsuhi is also included!! I wish I could keep it as a pet instead of defeating it!

By the way, it’s a little bit hard to tell from photos, but Naruko’s face is actually sculpted to be making the “ε” face! The expressions were just as important as the outfit on this Nendoroid! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Nendoroid Amatsukaze

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Yesterday I’m almost certain I smelt some sweet olive in the air! I absolutely love that sweet fragrance!!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Amatsukaze!♪

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the 9th Kagerou-class Destroyer, Amatsukaze – ready to set sail! The Rensouhou-kun attached to her hips is articulated for all sorts of poses, and even comes with shooting effect parts!

Torpedo effect parts for Amatsukaze herself are also included to ensure that the enemy can not escape – water column parts are also included to show the point of impact! Just like Nendoroid Shimakaze before her, she also comes with parts to recreate her ‘Half-Damage’ pose – the bow and first cannon have been hit, but that won’t be enough to sink Amatsukaze!

Apologies for the long wait!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

I know she has been on display at a number of events and many Admirals have been waiting for her very patiently! The 9th Kagerou-class Destroyer Amatsukaze is finally coming to join the Nendoroid fleet!

The adorable little hat the doubles up as a funnel, her long pale hair and beautiful outfit… you can even see her garterbelt if you look close! Everything that makes Amatsukaze amazing has been captured in her Nendoroid for fans to be charmed by all over again!

Rensouhou-kun is also of course included! ♪

His confident, robotic looking face has a comical side to it that makes him so very cute!! The head is fitted with a joint allowing you to match his pose with Amatsukaze’s pose!!

Back onto Amatsukaze… let’s take a look from the back! ♪

Her 4-turret torpedo launcher has been faithfully included! The rather unique parting of her hair has also been faithfully kept, and actually makes attaching and removing the stand nice and easy! ♪

But perhaps one of her most unique features…
Her semi-transparent outfit! <○><○>!!

It’s ever so slight, but you can definitely see through!

If you look close you can definitely make out the two lines of the garterbelt going up her stomach! (；・`д・´)

The original plan for the Nendoroid didn’t actually include the semi-transparent outfit, but while working on it the head planner Kyojin decided that it was definitely worth preserving on the Nendoroid… and thus the change was made!

Let’s try a slightly lower angle…

“Nah-uh! No photos any lower!”

I can hear her cute voice in my head when I look at this expression!!

Plus just look at that adorable moe fang!! ♥︎

Some of you may recognise this expression already… you’ll see it’s main use a little later on! (｀・ω・´)

But before that, the KanColle Nendoroid are always well known for their effect parts… Amatsukaze also comes with a couple to enjoy!

First up we have…
Rensouhou-kun Firing Parts! ☆

FIRE!

These are inserted into Rensouhou-kun’s turrets to display him firing at the enemy! Together with Amatsukaze’s pointing expression it’s as if she is ordering him to fire in a certain direction! (･ω･)b

The point that Rensouhou-kun attaches to Amatsukaze’s hip is also articulated, so you can move him in all sorts of different directions!

The second part is a…
Pillar of Water!☆

This really isn’t an exclusive part to Amatsukaze! It could be used with any KanColle Nendoroids to create a combat atmosphere!

Finally, we also have…
Torpedo Effect Parts!☆

All four of the torpedo launchers firing at once!

The standard expression is mainly a tsundere embarrassed expression as with the first few photos of the blog… but used with effect parts it actually gives her a bit of a serious look to her attack – as if she’s really concentrating! φ(．． )

There is still one last optional part remaining!
Included to recreate a very popular pose!! ヾ(｀・ω・´)ノ

“The bow and first cannon have been hit!
But I’m not going down yet!”

Aaaaahhhhh!!! (*´Д｀)=з

That’s right!
She comes with a completely alternate Half-Damage Body!
Alternate bent leg parts with ripped knee-highs are also included!!

Even with her outfit torn apart the detail on what remains is amazing! Look at this tiny little ribbon on her left side!!

Plus Rensouhou-kun also comes with a Half-Damage version! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

He looked so confident a little while ago, but now he looks to be rather unsure of himself!! So cute!!

Last but not least, she also comes with a third expression!

Aww!! What a little angel!! (´□｀｡)

Amatsukaze may be best known for her rather spiky personality, but when she puts on a smile she really is adorable!! ♪

This lovely smile which also shows off her moe fang is actually aimed toward Shimakaze-chan…

W-What is that she’s holding in her hand?!

It’s not even mentioned in the release text, but she’s holding plans for a new turbine to give to Shimakaze!!

Ideal for duo poses just like this one!

These parts were also included by the head planner Kyojin… certainly something only an Admiral himself could think to include! ♪

I look forward to seeing what is include with Nendoroid I-401!
As soon as I know more about the upcoming KanColle Nendoroid I shall share!! ☆

There are always new sweets and candy that release in Autumn, and I’m looking forward to trying all of them! It’s the season where chocolate and cream-type ice cream seem to be where my eyes go first! ♪

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

The 1/8th Scale:

Eren Yeager!

From the popular anime ‘Attack on Titan’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the main character, Eren Yeager. The figure is based on the cover illustration of the first volume of the anime’s Blu-ray/DVD, which features Eren ready to cut down on a Titan in a powerful, confident pose.

He looks great displayed alone, but even more epic when displayed with the previously announced 1/8th scale Mikasa Ackerman, so be sure to display them together!

Ooooooohhhh!!! ヽ(ｏ´∀｀ｏ)ﾉ

With the upcoming movie version of ‘Attack on Titan’ coming this autumn it’s a great time to see the titan-exterminating main character Eren! Just like Mikasa Ackerman, he has been sculpted based on the cover of the Blu-ray & DVD jacket! ♪

The amazing dynamic pose with gritted teeth and furrowed brows really brings out Eren’s determination!

If you look up from a low angle you can stare right into his confident eyes! Just like Mikasa, his Vertical Manoeuvring Equipment has been sculpted in unbelievable detail!!

The mechanical parts around his hips are so intricate, and still have wear and tear added carefully into the design! The mechanical parts on his back contrast with the flowing jacket beautifully!

I could stare at this back for ages!!

But the area I really want to personally push…

The tight, sinewy muscles that you will only ever see on a male figure! They look amazing!! Speaking of attention to detail, be sure to also take a look at the included base! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The base is made to look like a chimney from the series, and even the inside has been carefully detailed! The old, deteriorated look with bricks showing recreate the setting of the series!

Not to mention that even the soles of his shoes have kept their pattern! (｀・ω・´)

I really love the way that his vertical manoeuvring equipment has been made to look ‘used’!

It makes the figure and series seem all the more realistic! There is no way the equipment should be all shiny and new after what it has been through!

Another area that I don’t want to see go unnoticed would be here! ★

To be more specific, his thighs which has held tight by a number of belts!

Just look how they are squeezing on his skin!!

The whole figure really gives you a feel for him making use of all the muscles in his body to amazing effect! The belts also add a soft, touchable feeling to his skin though!

The contrast between the solid equipment, belts and boots and the softer looking shirt and jacket is emphasized by the sculpting and paintwork to create a figure that looks so very real that he really seems to be right there with you!
