Today I’m going to be taking another look at this item which went up for preorder last Tuesday!

Shigure Kai Ni!

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the 2nd Shiratsuyu Class Destroyer, Shigure Kai Ni! The pose is based on the illustration used on Shigure’s card in Bushiroad’s card game, ‘Weiβ Schwarz’. The ship parts differ to those normally seen in the games illustrations, and the pose depicts Shigure in a confident and powerful looking way that fans are sure to enjoy!

Additionally, the figure comes with alternate parts that allow you to display her more true to the games illustration – with the larger ship parts attached to her back and smaller turrets on her arms – quite a large variation for a scale figure. The smaller turrets on the sides as well as the torpedo launchers on her legs are also articulated, allowing you to place them at the angle that you think suits her best!

Kujou Ichiso’s illustration has been faithfully transformed into a figure!

The figure is now up for preorder… and you may or may not have noticed, but something is quiet different compared to the previous time I showed her on my blog! ヽ(･ω･´(｀･ω･´)ﾉ｀･ω･)ﾉ

Shigure Kai Ni can in fact be posed in two distinct poses! The first is the exact same as the original illustration – with the two large cannons held in her hands… but you can also instead move the cannons onto her back to recreate the original game’s appearance as well!!  

Today I’ll be taking a look at just how you switch between these two versions!! ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ 

Let’s swap over to the other version step-by-step! 

1. Remove Ship Parts

First off, you need to take the large cannon ship parts…

…and detach them like so!

The parts are quite easily detached and reattached! You also can then remove the parts that connect to her hips, which you can see below!

 

2. Combine the two Halves!

I decided to make a GIF to illustrate this! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

 

I wanted to make the combination look awesome! So I added a whole bunch of unnecessary frames and movements, but the two halves basically connect into each other very quick and easily!

3. Twist the Double-Barrelled Gun Part Upward and Detach the Single Barrelled Gun!

Detach!!

The multi and single-barrelled turrets connect onto the larger parts with a round connector, which means they not only detach, but can also be attached at various different angles like this!! ε=(｡・д・｡)


△ The torpedo launchers on her legs are also articulated!

4. Turret and Alternate Hand Parts

The single-barrelled turret can then connect onto the alternate hand parts!

△ The barrel can also be moved around for different nuances!

Her right hand also comes with an alternate clenched hand part, which really completes the confident pose! (●´ω｀●)ゞ

This angle really shows off the fluttering skirt and allows a nice peek at her thighs!

Let’s take a look a little lower at her lovely long legs as well! <○><○>

Her slender build means that her thighs and calves are very nice and shapely!

The WonHobby Selection figure Musashi Kai: Heavy Armament Ver. had much more meaty upper legs, which I thought were lovely… but Shigure’s healthy looking legs are a lovely contrast!

Along with the lovely thighs, you also get a nice look at her charming knees!!

Anyway! I got a little carried away for awhile, but…
…the posing is now complete!! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Even though the only part that has actually been switched out completely is the hand parts… the moving around of parts really allows for a very different appearance! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

It’s a rather simple design, but it works so very well! Even someone as clumsy as myself was able to switch between the poses with ease, so I’m sure everyone will have no trouble at all! ♪

Hatsune Miku V3

Today is the 9th of March – Miku Day!★

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the Hatsune Miku figure from FREEing that went up for preorder today!

The 1/4th Scale…

Hatsune Miku V3!☆

The Hatsune Miku V3 key visual illustration by iXima has been sculpted into a massive 1/4th scale figure, which stands an impressive 42cm in height.

The twintails winding around her body have been sculpted with the utmost detail, with incredible care also given to the intricacies of her outfit – bringing out a level of realism and detail that can only be achieved through such a large scale figure. This is the work of art that Miku fans have been waiting for – a Miku figure that, both literally and figuratively, stands above the rest!

Ooooooohhhh!!(´□｀｡)

The beautiful charm of iXima’s illustration has been captured in figure form beautifully! It’s hard to put into words, but just looking at her seems to clear the air around her!! What a wonderful rendition of Miku-san!!

Let’s see how she looks from the back! (･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ

△ I wanted to show off this angle, even though it’s cutting it a little close!

The twin-tails at her sides are gently curling  around, and are sculpted in a way that makes them look so bouncy and light, as if floating by her side. Although she is in a relatively simple standing pose, the pose has been captured beautifully – the classic Miku pose! ♪ 

The creases in her outfit, and difference in texture all over the figure is fantastically done!

There was clearly so much love and care put into making this figure, and it shows! Let’s take a closer look at each of the points that makes this Miku-san so exceptional! (σ・∀・)σ

 

– Expression –

Her beautiful expression has such a clean and clear feeling about it! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The gentle yet confident feel that iXima’s illustration had has transferred into figure form so very well! ♡

When the figure is a large scale, the expression becomes all the more difficult to capture correctly – particularly for certain angles. However… I can honestly say that this Miku-san looked lovely matter which angle I decided to look from! ☆

– Size – 

To be honest, I don’t think many people have a good feel for just how big 1/4th scale is! (´□｀｡)

I am one of those people, so to make things easier for people like me, I decided to create a few comparison images!

Size Comparison with Nendoroid and figma!

As you can see… she is huge!! (゜д゜；)

The Nendoroid and figma figures are like little fairies in comparison to the huge scale figure! (Plus, this angle once again shows off those lovely twin-tails!)

As far as height is concerned, here is another comparison!

Comparison with Nendoroid Boxes!

To state her height in terms of Nendoroid boxes…

She is five Nendoroid Boxes tall!!

Looking at the Nendoroid boxes in this photo makes it seem like they’re in fact miniature boxes…! They’re real size, I promise!!

 

– Outfit –

In particular, look at her arm cover!

It’s translucent!!

The original illustration definitely has a slightly see-through look to the design, and while on smaller figures this amount of detail on a transparent item is difficult… a 1/4th scale figure allows that kind of detail to be preserved so very nicely!!  ♪

Also, while her outfit may look rather simple at first glance, the patterns on her skirt and all the little attachments to the outfit that make it not-quite symmetrical have all been done with painstaking attention to detail – creating an incredibly accurate outfit that simply looks amazing to look at!

The creases around her hips as well as the movement of the frills have also all been altered one-by-one to create a truly faithful rendition that actually has an interesting , almost  realistic feeling to it! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

 

– Body – 

A 1/4th scale size really does allow for amazing detail… and not just on the outfit, but also on Miku’s beautiful body! ε=(｡・д・｡)

You can clearly make out the curves of her body beneath the outfit, the supple curves just bounce right into your mind! ♪ 

The slight little indent of her armpits are done so very beautifully!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Miku-san is well known for her rather slender build, and her soft pale skin looks so very touchable! She really is such a treat for the eyes!

The sculptor behind this Miku-san is none other than Hiroshi (Sakurazensen)!
The same sculptor who worked on popular GSC items such as Ultimate Madoka and Kaname Madoka ~The Beginning Story / The Everlasting~!

The work of Hiroshi always brings out the charms of characters in such a beautiful way! It’s like magic!!

This time around is no exception – the size of this Miku has allowed everything that makes her special to be brought out in magnificent 1/4 scale size!  ♡

Saber of “Red” -Mordred-

I don’t think I can even do a single push-up… the movement alone seems impossible for my body, nevermind the stamina needed… I’m also just as confident in my inability to do push-ups!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at AQUAMARINE’s latest item that went up for preorder today…

Saber of “Red” -Mordred-!

From the novel ‘Fate/Apocrypha’ comes a figure of Saber of “Red” -Mordred-!

She is posed slinging her red jacket over her back, as she looks over her shoulder with a confident smile on her face! The figure is based on an illustration by the novel’s illustrator, Ototsugu Konoe, faithfully keeping the details of her boots and jacket as well as her tough appearance.

The casual clothes she wears shows off the amazing curves of her body as well as her healthy abs! The pendant and bracelet chain are made from metal parts bringing out a premium, realistic appearance even to the smaller parts of the figure. Be sure to add this charming, fearless Saber to your collection!

Three Sizes: B73/W53/H76 – and she is ready to show off her slender body and lovely curves to everyone!

A 1/7th scale figure of the Knight of Treachery with a confident smile across her face! ♡  She holds her red biker’s jacket as she turns to look over her shoulder with an almost mischievous look to her! She’s beautiful! (*ﾟｰﾟ*)

The expression is one thing… but just look here…!!

Such a beautiful body…!

Just look at the slight outline of her abs which have been so beautifully sculpted!!

You can’t help but want to run your finger along them to feel the intricate little bumps!! You can also tell she has some muscle on her upper arm!

But the front is just the start! From the back…!

Those shoulder bones and the line down the center of her back!! <○><○>

The intricate little bumps have been sculpted so naturally that they look incredibly realistic! Also note the way the bra strap is applying pressure to her skin, or the hot pants that are cutting it close in terms of length!

While her body is certainly the first thing most of our eyes jump to, also note the detail of her clothes and accessories! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

△ The shining pendant around her neck makes use of a real chain!

△ Similarly, the bracelet on her arm also has a real chain!

The texture of the metal chain contrasts against her soft white skin so very beautifully! ♡ Speaking of texture… just look at the jacket she holds over her shoulder!! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ

The glossy appearance you should expect from a leather jacket has been recreated beautifully through the gradient paintwork! (●´ω｀●)

Each of the teeth of the zipper are so intricately sculpted, and the fluttering movement of the jacket really makes it look as if she has just slung it over her shoulder! The dynamic movement adds even more to the realistic effect of the figure! ♪

Also note the unique design of her boots! ε=(｡・д・｡)

△ Why is it that cute girls can look so good in such masculine shoes?!

An incredible body, wonderful expression and intricate outfit all very carefully put together for an amazing figure! ♡

Shigure Kai Ni

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan) Today I’m going to be taking a look at the latest item to roll out from the GSC Naval Base!
 
Shigure Kai Ni! ♡ 

From the hugely popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the 2nd Shiratsuyu Class Destroyer, Shigure Kai Ni! The pose is based on the illustration used on Shigure’s card in Bushiroad’s card game, ‘Weiβ Schwarz’ – it features different ship parts to those seen in game with a confident and powerful looking pose that fans are sure to enjoy!

Additionally, Shigure Ni Kai comes with alternate parts that allow you to display her more true to the games illustration, with the larger ship parts attached to her back and smaller turrets on her arms – a rather large variation for a scale figure. The smaller turrets on the side of the larger parts that connect to her hands, as well as the torpedo launchers on her legs are all articulated, allowing you to place them at the angle that you think suits her best!

Oooooooooooohhhh!! (´□｀｡)

Her skirt and hair accessory almost actually seem to be moving in this dynamic pose! A figure that shows Shigure is ready for battle! The pose comes from a card in Bushiroad’s trading card game, ‘Weiβ Schwarz’! The illustration by Ichiso Kujou has been very carefully transformed into a figure while keeping as much of the original charm as faithfully as possible! ♪

The characteristic hair sticking out at the sides seen on the ‘Kai Ni’ version is also sculpted beautifully! (●´ω｀●) 

The original illustration only ever showed the front of Shigure, so the back of the figure thought up and sculpted without any specific source to work with!

This is quite a common occurrence with KanColle figures!

The original illustration is very carefully taken into consideration while the back is designed. The final design is of course checked with the publisher to ensure that nothing is out of place! The good thing is that there are lots of mecha fans at GSC, which makes coming up with how these ship parts are attached an easy task… plus they look great!

Moving on, let’s take a closer look at her ship parts! <○><○>

The huge short-barrelled cannons normally seen on her back are held out ready to fire…!

All of the details on the ship parts give a nice mechanical appearance, and the various layers give a nice 3D appearance to the design! ♪

△ Nope, you can’t see them!

The contrast between the mechanical design and the soft white skin of her thighs is just as amazing as ever! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

By the way, even the reverse side of the torpedo launchers on her legs have been faithfully sculpted into the design!  ★

But while everything I’ve shown looks great and is overflowing with a lovely dynamic feel… without a doubt the best thing about this figure to me… is that facial expression!

You can just feel her confidence and powerful will through those eyes!!

Tomboyish characters like Shigure are generally known for their bright, energetic side… but Shigure actually has a more reserved personality than most expect! She has a very cool and calm personality! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Just look into her eyes right now… they are clearly focused and attentive…but with a slight hint of nervousness as she aims her weapons! I really feel like I’m right in the battle beside her when I look at this face, it captures the battlefield all with one expression!

But there are also various other areas that shouldn’t be missed out on… for example the slight peek at the nape of her neck by her single braid, or the uniform-like outfit that shows off Shigure’s amazing curves… or those long legs extending out from the skirt wavering in the wind….

There are so many different details to enjoy!!

Be sure to add her to your own collection and enjoy her from all sorts of different angles!

Whenever I sit in box seating on trains, I always get the feeling I’m going on holiday! I also always feel like eating something seen you get a table in front of you!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at an item going up for preorder tomorrow from Max Factory!

The 1/7th Scale…

Aoi Sakurai!

The troublemaker with unparalleled accuracy and a hatred of men.

From the anime series ‘RAIL WARS!’ comes a 1/7th scale figure of Aoi Sakurai! The figure is based on the cover illustration of the original novel’s second volume.

Everything about the original illustration has been faithfully included on the figure – down to the ripped stockings and the smaller details on items such as her pistol and ID card. Her left hand is shaped like a pistol, ready to fire right through the heart of her fans!

Oooooooooooooohhh!! (*´Д｀)=з

The tomboyish, confident young woman with skill in both ranged and close combat! She is also the well-known troublemaker from the Tokyo Central Railway Public Security Office Defence Four Squad, who will jump right into the deep end whenever something happens! A scale figure of Aoi Sakurai!! 

Her left hand is placed in a gun pose with a rather playful wink on her face! It all comes together for a very sexy pose! (/ω＼)

The way her hair is tied up giving a little peek at her ears is lovely and all, but I think most people’s eyes will head down to those rather soft looking curves first! The combination of the tight skirt and the pose make for an eye catching sculpt!

Then if we take a look from a higher angle…

She has her ID Card held in her mouth, her blouse unbuttoned at the top showing off her neckline and torn stockings showing off even more bare skin!

A rather unique pose that shows off both her personality and her beautiful body! ♡

As mentioned in the product description above, the pose is based on the cover illustration of the original novel’s second volume! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

Just look at how close it is to the original! Not only the sculpt, but the paintwork as well…

(・∀・) “We really tried our best to capture the charm of Vania 600’s illustration!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Kaneko Nitohei (Max Factory)! 

(・∀・) “The way Vania 600 makes use of reds, or gives the stockings an almost transparent look were all very carefully considered… we had many meetings discussing how the painting would be done!” 

The gradient on the jacket and skirt look exactly like they did in the illustration!! (； ・`д・´)

The sculpting of the stockings is incredible, but even more so is the way you can make out the more stretched out areas by the paintwork!

(・∀・) “The ‘aspect of stocking‘ really comes out nicely on the figure! Just look at the knees and under the feet to see the stretch effect and creases at the very best!”

The aspect of stocking…!! 

(What an incredible choice of words from Kaneko Nitohei!! (●´ω｀●) )

As mentioned above, the sole of her foot is amazing!

△ Note the lighter area of her heel, and the creases at the arch of her foot!

(・∀・) “We also paid very careful attention to all the smaller items included with her or on her outfit… for example her belt buckle…”

△ If you look from this angle you can see the amazing detail!

I hope everyone is having a lovelyevening! Today I’m going to be taking a look at Phat Company’s 1/8th scale…

Takane Shijou!♪

From the anime series ‘IDOLM@STER’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the idol with a refined but mysterious atmosphere about her, Takane Shijou! The pose is based on the illustration by director Atsushi Nishigori seen on the 6th volume of the Blu-ray & DVD jacket for the anime series!

Takane has been sculpted in an elegant pose with her finger to her lips as she looks ahead with a slight twist in her hips. The tips of her hair make use of translucent parts which help emphasize the mysterious atmosphere about her.

Ooooooooooohhhhhhh!! (*´Д｀)=з

Her soft, long hair is flowing all around her and the body hailed as one of the best in 765 Production has been sculpted beautifully!! The ‘Silver Queen’ Takane Shijou is here!

Takane is the 5th figure to join Phat! Company’s IDOLM@STER Anime DVD & Blu-ray Jacket Illustration Series! The previous figures in the series can be found here:

She has her finger to her lips, as if keeping a secret! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The finger and forward gaze really bring out her mature charm!

This is how she looks from the back! ★

Her hair made from translucent parts has two different layers! ♡

The effect on the color created by the two layers really looks magnificent! The slight pink gradient toward the tips is also lovely, and the wavy appearance is recreated so well!  (●´ω｀●)

(・∀・) “Also take note of her outfit!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Takamatsu!

 (・∀・) “Everything from the ribbon and creases on her blouse to the stole gently wrapped around her body have been very carefully sculpted!” 

The way the shoulder straps of her skirt are pushed aside by her breasts is also very effective!

This figure is based on the cover illustration of the 6th volume of the Blu-ray & DVD of the anime, right?

(・∀・) “That’s right! We did make a few little changes here and there to be better suited to a figure, but we kept to the original illustration as best as possible! The sculptor was once again Yusuke Masaki, matching up with all the previous figures!”

The S-shape formed by her hips and beautiful curves that it creates really have been preserved in the figure wonderfully! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

(・∀・) “If you display her with Ganaha Hibiki and compare the sizes, you might notice that the height of the characters has also been faithfully considered!”

Oooooooohhhhh!! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ!

Even though Hibiki is bending over a bit, you can definitely see the difference between their heights!

(・∀・) “In 1/8th scale Takane is about 169cm while Hibiki is 152cm! Displaying them all together really looks great and gives producers an authentic feel for their height!” 

Definitely something I’m happy to see! These were the two characters on the cover of the 6th volume, so it only makes sense to display them together like this! ♪

(・∀・) “Also note the difference in texture between the stockings and leather shoes!”

The shape of the ankle bones that you can just see through the stockings is amazing!! (´□｀。)

Not to mention from the back you get a good look at both her thighs and behind her knees!

The back-seamed stocking suits her classic outfit so nicely! ♡

(・∀・) “Takane’s outfit is very elegant, giving her a whole different charm to that of the other idols!” 

The combination of the mature pose and the mischievous pose are so effective!

(・∀・) “Just like her beautiful singing voice, the Queen has been sculpted to show off her refined charm! I hope Takane fans around the world will enjoy adding her to their collections!”

Hatsune Miku: Risa Ebata Ver.

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Everyone in the GSC offices is catching a cold! I am wearing a mask almost all the time to try prevent it from spreading to me…! With all the preparations for WonFes, this is the worst time to get sick!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a product that has been up for preorder since last year… Max Factory’s…

Hatsune Miku: Risa Ebata Ver.!

The world of Hatsune Miku, as illustrated by Risa Ebata.

A 1/7th scale figure of Hatsune Miku based on an illustration by the popular illustrator Risa Ebata! The unique translucent and delicate appearance of Risa Ebata’s illustration has been carefully preserved in figure form.

She is seated on a magnificent floating diamond that shines beneath her with a love innocent smile on her face, as her long winding twintails are swaying in the wind behind her. A truly intricate piece of sculpting that fans are sure to fall in love with. Enjoy a different side and all new charm of Hatsune Miku through this collaboration!

Oooooooooooooohhh!! (/ω＼)

For those of you who aren’t aware, Risa Ebata is the character designer and animation director for Macross F! She drew this adorable Miku, which has now been transformed into a lovely figure by Shining Wizard @ Sawatika!

She is posed leaning forward as she sits on a lovely pink diamond that makes up the stand for the figure! Also note the angelic smile on her face… she simply HAS to be angel!!

Speaking of Macross F and Max Factory, they have previously released this amazing figure of Sheryl Nome! (´∀｀)

 Both Miku and Sheryl are connected by their amazing singing voices! ♡

But let’s get back to Miku before we get too sidetracked! 

The long winding twin tails have been sculpted in such lovely detail as they flow out behind her, matching with the long flowing look of her bustle skirt!

Even though she is in a sitting pose the angle means that even a view from the side is filled with highlights! ♪

The diamond is not the only part to make use of translucent parts either – the end parts of her hair as well as the inner fabric of her sleeves are also a little see-through! 

(・∀・) “We decided if we were going to make her, we had to do as best as possible!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Akane Eiseihei!

(・∀・) “The original illustration was used on the front cover of the 1st album of VocaloP: SmileR, but when we decided to transform her into a figure, Risa Ebata went and drew us a nice fresh illustration to work with! The feeling of translucence in the illustration really appealed to me, so I worked with the team to bring it out in the figure with these translucent parts!”

The overall feeling of this Miku seems more mature than most others! ♡

(・∀・) “Yep! That also comes out in the outfit. Normally Miku has a somewhat metallic outfit, but this Miku makes use of a matte finish for a more relaxed appearance. Combined with the very unique design of the oufit, it gives this Miku a very unique charm when compared to others!”

Looking from this angle you get a little glimpse of her back! The frilly black area at her shoulders also looks lovely – I think they make her look even sexier than if there were no sleeves at all! 

A similar effect can also be seen on her hands!! <○><○>

The translucent gloves (there is probably a better word for these than gloves!) kind of cover the skin but you can still see it, creating an almost teasing charm to the design! I really love the way it looks!╭( ・ㅂ・)و  !

(・∀・) “I know how you feel because I feel exactly the same way! Another area where the semi-transparent look really shines are her stockings covered in musical notes!”

There couldn’t be a more suiting design for Miku’s stockings! (●´ω｀●)

Her calves and thighs look so lovely and soft… plus the garterbelt features the same design normally seen on Miku’s wallet chain! 

(・∀・) “Yep! There are actually quite a few interesting connections between this design and Miku’s official design! Another thing I’d like to point out are her adorable looking shoes! ♡”

I think most girls would agree they have a lovely design! (*´Д｀)=з

(・∀・) “Miku-san herself is amazing, but this figure really comes together when you look at her together with the details of the accessories and outfit!”

There are quite a few little intricate details that you might miss if you don’t look close… like the pins on her neck tie here, or the heart shapes around the edge of her sleeves! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

(・∀・) “As mentioned before the stockings and matte look give her a more adult charm than most Miku figures… but there are also still lots of musical notes, ribbons and other cute motifs that show the cuter side of Miku for fans to enjoy too!”

Her expression has a rather innocent and playful feeling to it as well! ♪

I love the fact you can just see her top teeth sticking out! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Ah! I have something I want to ask, Eiseihei!!

Miku-san is sitting on a diamond… but when you look up close it seems like it’s floating?!

(・∀・) “Yep, the diamond itself isn’t held down to the base, but don’t worry – we’ve done lots of tests and there are more than enough dress frills to support her! I wanted to keep as much detail to the figure without adding unnecessary supports! I got a lot of great advice from Shining Wizard @ Sawatika… the sculptor who also worked on Hatsune Miku TYPE2020!” 

Shining Wizard@Sawatika is really amazing with hair and dress sculpting!! ♪

Even though the hair looks so light and fluffy, the edges are still so beautifully sharp!! What amazing work!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

(・∀・) “It’s definitely a Miku that has never been seen in Max Factory’s line-up before, and I hope fans will enjoy the rather unique charm she has to bring!”

The continuous cold days make me wish I could just curl up in a ball by the warm kotatsu all day! The problem is I don’t even own a kotatsu at home… but if I did I’m pretty sure I’d never move away from it!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at FREEing’s…

Miki Hoshii: Yukata Ver. 

The natural idol Miki Hoshii in a beautiful yukata!

From the popular anime series ‘THE IDOLM@STER’ comes a figure of Miki Hoshii wearing a yukata! The super idol that always takes things at her own pace has been sculpted in an energetic pose that shows off her playful personality for fans to enjoy.

Both Takane Shijou and Chihaya Kisaragi are also scheduled to be joining the ‘Y-STYLE’ series of yukata figures soon, so look forward to them too!

A lovely lime green colored yukata to match Miki’s image color, and a brilliant smile brought together as a lovely 1/8th scale figure! ♪

The energetic pose with one leg up in the air also captures her innocent and playful personality nicely!

Not to mention the lovely curves you can make out even under the yukata!

The general shape of her body can easily be determined through her yukata, and the little glimpses of pale skin by her neck and slightly raised feet are lovely!…(´□｀｡)

The creases all over the yukata also look magnificent – the kind of creases you only see on Japanese-style outfits!

Vita: Swimsuit ver.

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I left my scarf at home today and am rather depressed about it. I just know the way home is going to be freezing without it!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at Gift’s 1/4th scale… ♪

Vita: Swimsuit ver.☆

From ‘Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 2nd A’s’ comes a figure of Vita wearing a cute bikini! Be sure to display her with the previously released Nanoha Takamachi: Swimsuit Ver., Fate Testarossa: Swimsuit Ver. and Hayate Yagami: Swimsuit Ver.!

Oooooooooooohhhh!! ヽ(´ω｀*)ノ

Known as the ‘Crimson Iron Rider’ as well as the ‘Knight of the Iron Hammer’, Vita is joining the 1/4th scale collection of Nanoha swimsuit figures!! 

Her Armed Device, the ‘Black Iron Count’ Graf Eisen held in one hand, with a watermelon in the other! The figure’s pose is brazen with confidence, reflecting Vita’s personality beautifully! ♪

Her outfit is filled with frills  and the combination of black edges to the red makes sure the colors aren’t too vivid!

This is the 4th figure in Gift’s Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha swimsuit series! ♥︎

Anyway, let’s get back to Vita!

This is how she looks from the back!!

All the ups and downs along her back and hips together with the area that joins the thighs to her bottom are all amazingly sculpted! She has a rather slender body, but it still has a nice touchable feeling to it!! 

This area really caught my attention while taking photos!

Look at the details on her stomach!

Not to mention that she is a lovely 1/4th scale, which means a nice long body to run your fingers along and feel all the intricate little bumps!

She also has an expression overflowing with confidence, ready to take on the world! It captures her personality so nicely!  (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

 It’s a little heard to see here, but her moe fang has been faithfully included! ♪

Her healthy looking legs are also a lovely sight! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Her body has such a youthful appearance to it!

She definitely has a very different build to the other character that have been released from the series, adding a whole new kind of charm to the collection! I can’t wait to display her together with the other characters! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Her thick braided hair has also been beautifully sculpted! ♥︎

Her soft skin contrasts with the shiny, hard appearance of the watermelon – they have been painted differently to show the difference in textures! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

You’ll have to wait until she is in your collection before you can feel the difference for yourself though!

I’m still quite addicted to the way Levi holds his teacup that became popular awhile back. Holding the cup up by the rim like some kind of crane game let’s me pretend I’m as cool as Levi sometimes!! ★

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

The 1/8th Scale:

Levi!♪

 

From the popular anime series ‘Attack on Titan’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the Survey Corps corporal, Levi! He has been posed gracefully gliding through the air with his vertical maneuvering equipment as his Scouting Corps cape flutters behind him.

His stand is a Titan’s head which has also been very carefully sculpted to capture the striking appearance of the Titans. This single figure captures the atmosphere of the Attack on Titan world along with Levi’s character and the imposing Titan all in one for fans to enjoy!

Ooooooooooohhhh!!! ヽ(´ω｀*)ノ

With the film version having recently hit theatres, ‘Attack on Titan’ is just as popular as ever!

From that popular series comes the third in a series of scale figures from the series, following on from Mikasa Ackerman and Eren Yeager!

Levi’s cape is blowing out in the wind behind, giving him a truly epic appearance! It gives the whole figure a lovely dynamic feeling!

Like the previous figures, his  vertical manoeuvring equipment has damaged paintwork to show the struggles he has been through!

Also just like the others, the contrast between the sharp metal objects and the soft pale skin looks amazing!! The intricate little creases on his shirt are also very nicely done!  ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ

The holder area by the side of his ribs and the detail on his belt buckle really show how much detail has been put into this figure! Both the sculpting and the paintwork have both been done with great care!

Plus just look at the detail here!

Levi is known to hold his blades backhand which has of course been faithfully preserved on the figure! Just look at those lovely thin fingers and neatly trimmed nails!! ♡

To think that such graceful hands cut down Titans in an instant…

Levi really is the best of the best!! 　

Personally I really like this angle… ♥︎

Based on the way you look at it, you could easily take this as Levi posed busy kicking… ‘someone’!! <○><○>

Plus… he looks a bit like a certain figure skater as well…!

(・∀・) “That is exactly what I thought!”

I thought you would! Chanshuu-senpai!!

(・∀・) “They’re definitely complete opposites in terms of personality, but as soon as I thought it once I just couldn’t stop  comparing them…!”

Hmm! Let’s check with the sculptor, Akatsuki and see that side of the story! Both me and Chanshuu-senpai are reminded of a certain famous figure skater… did you have anything in mind while sculpting him?

(｀・ω・) “…not really!” 

Ah! I…I see! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ！

(｀・ω・) “But sometimes while working on figures I unconsciously start heading toward a more realistic sculpt… perhaps all his appearance in the news influenced by work…?” 

Anyway, Levi has been released by a number of different companies now, what makes this Levi special

(｀・ω・) “I tried to capture Levi in the heat of battle! That powerful presence that everyone comes to love! The addition of the Titan Head base adds even more to that effect of battle!”

The base was quite a shock to me at first! Mikasa and Eren also came with special bases – a roof and chimney respectively, so I expected something similar, but Kyojin, the planner of the figure as well as the publisher decided that Levi needed something a little different! (°Д°；≡°Д°；)

(｀・ω・) “By the way, this Titan head was modelled off the Titan that appeared in episode 9!”

The Titan that was taken down by Levi’s spinning cut!!

(｀・ω・) “That’s the one! I was actually going to give him a more comical look, but the publisher insisted on something more… dark, and realistic! This was the result!”

The somewhat transparent skin showing his veins beneath looks just like it did in the anime!! (((( ;°Д°))))

Looking from above not only gives a good look at Levi’s cape flowing around him, but also gives a distant look down at the Titan’s head!

By the way!! 

Levi’s cape can also be attached and removed whenever you like!

Without the cape you get a much closer look at his petite build!

The scarf at his neck and his jacket which are normally covered up by the cape have also been sculpted in full detail! You can see the ‘Wings of Freedom’ emblem in lovely detail on his back and arms – the manoeuvring equipment is also much more easily visible! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

His left thigh with belts gently pressing into his skin also sneaked into the photo!

If we take a look from a lower angle without the cape… ♪

You can even see up inside his jacket!!

Even these areas that you normally never have the chance to see have been carefully sculpted! Wonderful work by the sculptor, Akatsuki! ♪

Enjoy the calm and collected Levi from all sorts of angles!
