Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition Winter 2016: Part 2

Today I will be continuing my coverage of the Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition Winter 2016! You can find the previous article in the series here!

What is the Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition?

The event is a special industry-only exhibition run by Good Smile Company which allows dealers and the media to get a close look at upcoming releases from various manufacturers. The event includes the most recent works of various different companies!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at some of Max Factory’s goodies as well as some other items that caught my attention from other companies!

– Max Factory –

Scale figures, figma and plastic models! ♪

The pearl paintwork makes her look so pretty and shiny!

It really looks like she has jumped right out of the Project DIVA 2nd game! ☆

Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition Winter 2016: Part 1

Today I’m going to be bringing everyone some photos from the recent Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition Winter 2016!

What is the Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition?

The event is a special industry-only exhibition run by Good Smile Company which allows dealers and the media to get a close look at upcoming releases from various manufacturers. The event includes the most recent works of various different companies!

Just like last time, the event was held at the Akihabara UDX building!

Now that the company offices are also in Akihabara, it was nice and close for me to go and take photos! The amount of companies on display this time around was also a new record!! (・∀・)

With WonFes only just behind us, all the latest goodies from each company was on display – each and every item looked so amazing! The event also has distributors and wholesalers in attendance, making it a great place to create new business connections too! (*´Д｀)=з

This blog will be taking a look at the Good Smile Company Corner!

Nendoroids and Petites, scale figures, Nendoroid Co-de and more! So much colourful variation to be had! Here are a few of my favourites in closer detail! ＼(●´ω｀●)ノ

– Yuudachi Kai Ni –

An item that will look lovely displayed with Shigure Kai Ni!

Plus, there was also some talk of a possible rerelease for Shigure at the same time as Yuudachi’s release!

– Nendoroid Shoukaku / Zuikaku –

These two also just have to be displayed together!

– Prinz Eugen –

Guten Morgen！

Prinz’s lovely body as well as her sizeable ship parts transformed into a scale figure! I can’t wait to see this one painted! ♪

– Nendoroid Taihou –

“Admiral… I shall bring you and your team victory!”

The way her hair is sculpted blowing to the side makes her seem like she is really out at sea! The details on her outfit, the ship parts and the sea planes are also all fantastic!

Plasmagica’s vocalist and guitarist! ★

The little Myumon version of Cyan is also included! You can’t quite see it in this photo, but her tail is there!

Just look at those open arms and gentle smile ready to pull anyone in! Not to mention that lovely frilly skirt!! So many details for fans to enjoy! Shiburin is also in development!

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Owl Ver.

Snow Miku has reached its 7th anniversary this year, and once again this year’s design from piapro was decided by fans during a NicoNico Live Broadcast, and has been transformed into a Nendoroid! The theme this year was ‘Winter Sports’, and the winning design was this active, playful design illustrated by Kotatsu Otogi!The Nendoroid includes three expressions including an energetic smiling expression, a playful giggling expression and a chibi expression with tightly shut eyes. The knitted hat made in the image of an owl has been included with the figure as an actual Nendoroid-size knitted hat. She also comes with a variety of sporty goods including a snowboard, skis with ski poles and goggles! A scarf as well as snowball fight parts are also included to ensure that Miku has a great time in the snow!An alternate body part connected to the skis is also included to display her in action, and a special snowy white base with blue snowflakes is also included to bring out the Winter atmosphere! Rabbit Yukine is included once again with his very own pair of goggles and a cute rabbit-eared hat! Be sure to add her to your collection and enjoy playing in the Winter with this year’s Snow Miku!

Medicchu Granblue Fantasy: Lyria & Jita Idol Ver. Set

From the popular game ‘Granblue Fantasy’ comes chibi figures of Lyria and Jita to join the Medicchu series of figures! They are both dressed up in the popular idol outfits that were originally announced as an April Fools joke!

Dekacchu Ranko Kanzaki

From the anime series ‘THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS’ comes a huge Dekacchu figure of Ranko Kanzaki! Not only is she an impressive size, but she also comes with fire and ice effect parts to bring out the ‘dark power’ that wells inside her! Enjoy the company of the huge Ranko Kanzaki in your collection!

figma Vehicles: Panzer IV Ausf. H “D-Spec”

From the popular anime series Girls und Panzer comes a 1/12th scale figure of the Ankou Team’s tank, the Panzer IV Ausf. H upgraded into to its D-Spec – also known as the Mk.IV Special! The tank is fully assembled and also comes equipped with twin motors allowing it to drive it forward! The model is based on the latest 3DCG data used in the Girls und Panzer movie, ensuring the proportions and details are all faithfully included.

The turret can be rotated and the main battery can be moved up and down allowing the tank to take careful aim. Various hatches around the tank can also be manually opened and closed. You can even easily display figma Miho Nishizumi and the other members of the Ankou Team riding inside the tank!

As I’m sure many have already noticed, today was the Good Smile Company and Max Factory booth website for the Winter Wonder Festival 2016 has opened!

The first update to the site only includes a small portion of what you can expect to see at the event, starting with some of the products that will be on sale at the event! Let’s take a closer look at each item!! (σ・∀・)σ

– Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Owl Ver. –

The Nendoroid includes three expressions including an energetic smiling expression, a playful giggling expression and a chibi expression with tightly shut eyes. Kahotan Post Office: Winter Edition – Part 2

I had some akashiyaki over the weekend for the first time in ages and was reminded of their deliciousness. The fluffiness is like a ball of happiness! *nom* (๑´ㅂ`๑) *nom*

Anyway, today I’m going to be continuing the Kahotan Post Office from last week! You can find the last part of this blog over here: Kahotan Post Office: Winter Edition – Part 1

The theme this time around was ‘Winter & Figure‘!! A big thank you to everyone who took the time to send me their photos! Every single one of them captured Winter so nicely in various different situations! As I have already announced over on Twitter, the photo I selected for my Twitter header was this lovely photo from Ooga!

She fell asleep while waiting for the Admiral to come home. This is definitely my best photo I have taken this year.

Falling asleep at the kotatsu…

It’s the perfect sign of Winter for me!! I can just imagine how she must have slowly become more sleepy while for the Admiral to come home, until eventually giving in! Just looking at her puts a smile on my face! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The curry and wine glasses prepared on the table also show the attention to detail! Thank you for the lovely photo!! ♡

I went on a date with Miku-san to see the Autumn leaves on Arashiyama in Kyoto. The sceney filled with Autumn colors was beautiful, but Miku-san was just as beatiful. My friend also brought a Nendoroid along when we came, so I guess this was actually a double date!

Miyazawa Model Exhibition: Autumn 2015

Miyazawa Model Exhibition!

What is the Miyazawa Model Exhibition?

The Miyazawa Model Exhibition’s is an industry-only event organised by Miyazawa Models, which allows distributors and manufacturers to display their figures, character goods, miniature cars and more among each other. The event is not directly open to the public.

This time around the event included character figures, model cars and even trains which made the total number of companies at the event jump up to 190! The photos I took were all taken before the event opened officially, but once it was open all the stores, bloggers and distributors were constantly filling the room with excitement which made for a very enjoyable event! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

Kahotan Post Office: Perfect Date Edition – Part 1

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I recently changed into long-sleeve pyjamas! The mornings are just too cold for short sleeves now!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at some of the ‘Perfect Date‘ photos that I asked everyone to send in this month! I’ve already received so many!!

I was just going to show one a day on the blog like I have been, but I decided I had to take a look at a few more at a time with a special blog, so here we go!!

Here are a couple of photos from when Mikudayo- and I went out on a date to Asakusa! Asakusa at night is really an experience to remember!

Recently no matter where I go, I always have my Nendoroid Amatsukaze with me! This was taken at a small park on the way to do some shopping in Nagoya. That tsundere expression as she turns around is just perfect!!

I love seeing photos of those who take their Nendoroid out with them!! Amatsukaze’s expression parts can be used to show so many different emotions depending on the setting!! They are one of my favorite sets with any Nendoroid! (σ・∀・)σ

The Rubber Duck (AKA Duck-chan) is floating in Nakanoshima, Osaka until the 12th October, so these two sister’s went on a date to see it! They had such great weather which made it a perfect day out together!!

I hope the GSC Staff coming down for Machi Asobi will take a little detour to Osaka!

Nendoroid Co-de: Cinderella Girls Rin/Uzuki/Mio Set – My First Star

From the popular anime series ‘THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS’ comes a set of three Nendoroid Co-de figures featuring the New Generation girls!

They are wearing the outfits from the opening theme and last episode of the anime series – the ‘My First Star’ outfits. The matching outfits have each been carefully sculpted to include even the smallest of changes between them, creating a lovely matching set of the three to display together!

The Cinderella Girls are joining the Co-de series!

Currently the series only contains characters from the PriPara series, and many have been wondering if other series would ever be featured in the Co-de series! Here is your answer!! ♡

Nendoroid Mako Mankanshoku: Fight Club-Spec Two-Star Goku Uniform Ver.

From the anime series ‘KILL la KILL’ comes a Nendoroid of Mako Mankanshoku wearing her Fight Club-Spec Two-Star Goku Uniform! Optional parts include a spiked bat and brass knuckles to display her in action scenes worthy of the Fight Club President!

Mako comes with three different expressions including her standard expression as well as two different crying expressions – one based on her tears from episode 7 and the other based on episode 24. Be sure to combine expressions and parts with the previously released Nendoroid Mako Mankanshoku for even more options!

From the anime series ‘THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS’ comes a figma of Rin Shibuya wearing a running jersey!

· Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
· She comes with both a serious expression brimming with self-confidence as well as a slightly flustered, unsure expression.
· Optional parts include arm parts to display her hands in her pockets and drop-shaped stickers to display her sweating.

My love for marshmallows has calmed down a bit, but I’m now addicted to popcorn! If this continues I’m going to have some problems in the weight department!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

The 1/8th scale…

From the anime series ‘IDOLM@STER’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the boyish idol, Makoto Kikuchi! The pose is based on the illustration by director Atsushi Nishigori seen on the 2nd volume of the Blu-ray & DVD jacket for the anime series.

The figure has been slightly altered into a standing pose, but still faithfully keeps to the original illustration! It captures both her boyish charm as well as her softer feminine features, ready for fans to enjoy!

The tomboyish idol with a rather husky voice, Makoto Kikuchi from 765 Production! ♥︎

The pose is based on the 2nd volume Blu-ray & DVD jacket, which featured Makoto is a lying pose! The pose has been worked around by the artisan’s of Phat! Company to transform it into a standing pose!

My eyes just to the bare skin so quickly…!!

Her eyes have a very confident look that suits her tomboyish personality! But with that said, her body certainly has some sexy points that show off her feminine side! Let’s see how she looks from the back! ♪

The dynamic sculptwork of the outfit and the creases are amazing!

That together with the hair and the details of her shoes, bag and other accessories… everything is so intricately made! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The way her tank top is sculpted makes it look so soft and silky, and the curves of her slender body that are peeking through it are a delicious sight!

Even areas that can’t be seen easily front the front, like the inside of the jumper…

Fans of the series will know! This DVD jacket series really has been on point when it comes to the details! Something I love seeing on my figures!! ♡

I can’t wait to see what figure will come next! I wonder who the next one will be! φ(．． ) Anyway, let’s get back to Makoto with an angle from above! ♪

This angle gets you a good look at her dainty fingers as well as her stomach, armpit and collarbone! It’s amazing how much a tank top can reveal from above!

Even the areas that were never visible on the original illustration can be enjoyed with the figure! That’s what makes figures so special! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

Else you can try the opposite and go for a low angle! Look at the details on the watch and other accessories! Definitely a figure that can be enjoyed from any angle!

The sculptor for this series is Yusuke Masaki, and he really has shown off his skill and love for the series with these figures! Makoto is certainly no exception!

I personally want to emphasize her stomach area…

The soft, natural curves are perfect!!

Those who succeed in knocking down the targets will receive a badge featuring Kashuu Kiyomitsu’s Nendoroid illustration!

Even if you don’t manage to win, all who take part will also receive a sticker!

Miyazawa Model Exhibition: Spring 2015 (Part 2)

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I’m still on my marshmallow boom! I am easily one of the most indoor-type people in the world, but I have the strangest desire to go camping and toast marshmallows!

Kengou Yagumo’s adorable illustrations as chibi figures – the Medicchu series is so cute! Even in chibi form everything that makes up the character is so carefully sculpted! Also note the special base!

Yuriko Nanao: Floating Reading Ver.

A 1/8th scale figure from IDOLM@STER Million Live of the bookworm idol Yuriko Nanao floating on a lilo while reading a book! I can’t wait to see her painted!!
