Apologies for the long delay on this one…!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at this beautiful figure, scheduled to reach wholesalers next week on the 19th May…

Hatsune Miku: Deep Sea Girl ver.!

Here we have Hamako (Deep Sea Girl Pose ver.) holding onto the box… you can see it’s rather large!! This is how the inner packaging looks!

Miku wearing her beautiful black dress in the middle, with her huge twin tails on either side, some coral on the top and the deep sea stand at the bottom!

Let’s start off with a closer look at the beautiful stand! (｀・ω・´)

First off I decided to attach the two pieces of coral onto the stand! The center of the stand is a dark blue, slowing fading out with an uneven gradient to a lighter blue on the edges! (｀・ω・´)

I also decided to invite a slightly smaller Deep Sea Girl from the Nendoroid Petite Hatsune Miku Selection! ♪

The atmosphere matches with the Nendoroid Petite too! The rocks and coral both have a lovely realistic texture and look to them… once the figure is placed they tend not to be noticed, but they’re definitely an important part of the figure! Just look at the detail put into the shape of the coral!! ＜●＞＜●＞

The tiny little bumps all over and even a slight gradient over the entire thing makes for a spectacular view! It looks like it should feel all soft and spongey…

Let’s seat Miku down on her deep sea throne… (ﾟＡﾟ;)

An angel! An angel has descended upon my desk!!

Just one look at her gorgeous expression and you can’t help but feel completely charmed! The figure is based on a beautiful illustration by Haruyo-san, and it has been captured in figure form perfectly! Staring at the figure brings that same sense of absolute amazement that came with the original illustration…! ♡

From the way her twin tails are twisting as they float in the water around her…

To the dainty frills of her jet black dress…

Her stunning long legs curling gently to the sides, and her delicate hands gently touching together…

They all come together to capture the heart of anyone who looks her way!

Her expression has such a calming smile, and looking into her eyes made me feel like shedding a tear… the figure is drowned in such an amazing atmosphere that really brings you underwater with her!

The combination of the figure itself with the outfit, stand and coral all come together to create such an amazing sight… it’s simply too amazing for me to put it into words! No matter what I say I don’t think will be enough to explain it…!

This is one of those figures you just have to see for yourself, from each and every possible angle! Let me take a look at a few of my favorites, together with some a slightly overactive imagination…

The huge twists in her twin tails, dynamic positioning of her legs and feet, the fluttering of her hair ribbon and lovely collarbone all make this a spectacular angle! (｀・ω・´)

It keeps her youthful look, but also gives off an air of mature elegance!

“I know that if I called out to her, she would surely look my way… but instead I just thought to myself “I want to be by her side forever”… However it wasn’t long until I regretted not saying anything… but at the same time I was more than content just staring at her beauty.”

The thin frame of her neck and shoulders, and opened up back that makes her look so defenceless… Her dress which looks soft and silky, and a small gap to see her legs. An angle which makes you think Miku is truly all yours!

Not to mention the light and airy twin-tails floating up in the water…!

“As I slowly approached Miku from the back, I knew she hadn’t yet noticed I was there. I also knew I wouldn’t get many chances like this, so I took some time to appreciate just how cute she looked from behind… it was hard to resist embracing her, even though I truly wanted to hold her in my arms. As I noticed the subtle bump of her spine, and told myself I had to calm down…”

(I get the feeling my wild delusions are getting wilder… (； ･`ω･´))

Miku looks into the distance as light beams down into the ocean she relaxes in, as the water causes her hair and dress to flutter around her – an angle which captures a single instant filled with movement! (｀・ω・´)

The fluid movement of the dress and the coral in the foreground give it a nice balance!

“The look on Miku’s face was a look of relief – a calm smile that brought a relaxing wave over me. As some light came over her she looked up and lifted her hands toward it. I sit and watched… unable to move just like the coral beside be… I might not be able to get closer to her, but I’m happy to just sit here and watch over her…!”

…I find it hard to understand my own imagination sometimes…

But having this Miku in front of me causes my imagination to go into overdrive, I couldn’t resist! (´；ω；｀)

The sculpting is undeniably beautiful, but even more beautiful is the story that the figure tells! She brings a whole world along with her!! Sit by her side and enjoy that beautiful atmosphere with her!

Recently I quite enjoy looking at maps and pretending to go travelling as I move along them. I love noodle dishes, so I went on a trip all around Japan enjoying the most famous noodle restaurants! (All in my mind…)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure that will reach wholesalers on the 19th May…

The 1/8th Scale…

Hibiki Ganaha!

The long-awaited southerner idol! （*´▽｀*）

The very first in Phat! Company’s IDOLM@STER BD/DVD Jacket Series is finally ready to be released!

I decided to take the photos in our light blue meeting room today, as the color of the walls match with Hibiki’s image color beautifully!! ♪

Her trademark ponytail has come out looking wonderful, and the twisting of her hair also gives the entire figure a much more dynamic appearance! っ(σ・∀・)σ

Her rather rugged boots and the rest of her wardrobe also look great, with the jacket fluttering about giving you a little peek at some skin too!

The figure is the prefect rendition of the original illustration – only you can see her from any angle you want! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ


Her huge smile and moe fang are also super adorable… (*´Д`)

The curves of her hip-line and area behind her knees just make you want to run your finger along them… they really look fantastic!

I feel lucky to be one of the first to run my fingers along them! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The legs in particular felt strangely smooth…! I couldn’t resist!

I also want to point out how lovely she looks from lower angles! Particularly because you get a good look at her belly button!!

The twisted angle of her body makes the belly button look a little stretched out… it also gives you a lovely look at both of her delicious thighs, and her hipbone! Definitely one of my most highly recommended angles to view her from! Beautiful!!

Don’t tell anyone I told you, but there is actually another part of her that is also very faithfully sculpted… I can’t say where, but I’m sure you can guess!

She’s also not alone! Take a look on top of her head! (｀・ω・´)

One of the members of the Ganaha family and Hibiki’s faithful advisor is also included! Hamzou! He isn’t attached either, meaning you can place when wherever you think he looks best – I think placing him here underneath one of Hibiki’s stands of hair looks great!

The packaging also features Hamzou and Inumi! ☆

‘Hibiki’s Animal Family’ are inseparable after all!

It’s a figure that captures Hibiki’s personality beautifully! Be sure to give her lots of love if you choose to add her to your collection! ♡

Max Factory’s Psychic (Pink Harley)

It’s got to that time of the year where I’m not really sure if I should be wearing long sleeves or short sleeves… but I get the feeling this week is going to get rather hot!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at the 1/7th scale…

Psychic (Pink Harley)! ♡

From SEGA’s popular RPG ‘7th Dragon 2020’ comes a 1/7th scale figure of the Psychic class! The figure is based on Shirow Miwa’s original illustration, preserving both his style and the finest of details in figure form.

Her glamorous body, bold outfit, slim legs and long hair have all been sculpted in wonderful detail for fans to become mesmerized by her beauty!

Ooooohhh!! （*´▽｀*）

The unique standing pose, twisted hips, and lots of lovely, soft skin….

A body that can really be appreciated from the side!! (*´Д`)

She is simply stunning! Anyone who looks at her will be captured in her spell!!

This is actually the 4th product in Max Factory’s ‘7th Dragon 2020’ series of figures, but she is without a doubt the sexiest of all of them so far….!

Anyone who looks at her from the back and sees her sexy bottom will agree! Just take a look for yourself!! ＜●＞＜●＞

Yep! That is one beautiful bottom! (/ω＼)

Her voluptuous body is only brought out more by rib and hip bones! The sexy outfit really brings them out nicely…! (ﾟＡﾟ;)ｺﾞｸﾘ

The twist of her body is also gorgeous!

(・∀・) “There is more to her than just her body!!”

We’re joined by the head planner for the figure, Max Factory’s Kaneko Nitohei!

(・∀・) “Obviously her body is quick to pull the eye, but just like the other characters in the series, a lot of focus was put into the sculpt and paintwork of her outfit!”

Now that you mention it… the leopard-print jacket and the detailed patterns around her thighs are very faithful to the illustration! (｀・ω・´)

The paintwork in particular is spectacular!!

(・∀・) “Speaking of paintwork, also take a close look at her hair! The long hair reaches all around the figure, and even features semi-transparent ends to keep the same light and airy feeling of the original illustration!”

The hair really matches nicely with her outfit too! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ
A low angle-shot like this shows that nicely! It shows other parts rather nicely too! ★

(・∀・) “When it comes to her outfit, I absolutely love the zipper on her pants… it looks so real that you can’t help but try opening it up!”

You’ll have to zoom in on the zipper with your mind’s eye… I felt bad taking photos any closer than this! (；´∀｀)）

(・∀・) “There is even a gap in-between her panties and the pants… looking from above gives quite the view! Fans can enjoy all sorts of enthralling angles with this figure!”

Nendoroid Kaga

A sneak peek of today’s review…!

Recently the offices have been really hot so I often reply on some ice cream to cool off a little. Simple vanilla ice cream in a cup is my current favorite!

But anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Kaga! ♫

The fourth character to join the Nendoroid series from the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ is the aircraft carrier, Kaga! She comes with three expressions including her standard expression, a glaring expression as well as a smiling expression. She also comes with optional parts such as planes to display soaring around her, as well as her bow and arrow.

She also comes with a kotatsu table for her and he fellow aircraft carrier Akagi to sit at, along with some delicious stew for them to enjoy! A container for rice which she can carry around is also included. All sorts of items allowing you to display her more comical side together with Akagi.

Another aircraft carrier that takes pride in being a part of the First Carrier Division – just like Akagi! ♡

The calm, composed and beautiful Kaga looks absolutely lovely! (*´Д`)

Just like Akagi, she also comes with a load of optional parts! First up are these little planes too display flying around her, as well as her bow and arrow – all important aspects of the aircraft carrier characters! (ﾉ｀・∀・)ﾉ

“Don’t worry. I’ve got this.”

I can just hear her saying that line in my head!! She looks so confident! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Another thing I love about her is the blue outfit in complete contrast to Akagi’s red outfit! The ship deck part is also made in lovely detail! Σ(・Д・」)

(・∀・) “There are many more special parts to come!!”

Today we’re joined by Kaga’s planner, Kyojin!!

(・∀・) “Kaga is the fourth Nendoroid in the KanColle series, but just like the previous characters she comes with a fun selection of parts to choose from! Take a look for yourselves!”

Ooooooohhh!!! (°Д°；≡°Д°；)

(・∀・) “She comes with a pile of tangerines, as well as a bowl of ‘nikujyaga’ stew which comes up in her time announcement lines all the time. The various food shows just how much Kaga loves to eat… she is after all one of the few who can surpass Akagi! The rice container in the image above is actually included with Akagi… but Kaga comes with one for herself which she can hold instead!”

“I shall not relinquish this!”

Ooh! It might be a little hard to tell from the photo, but the rice container can be held nice and close – it connects onto her perfectly neatly! This expression seems to suit her so nicely too! (*´Д`)b

(・∀・) “It was loosely based on her half-damage expression – a kind of, quiet but angry expression!”

The expression has a fairly mature air to it as well… if a somewhat troubled!

(・∀・) “The expression can actually be used for all sorts of poses depending on how you look at it! Another example will come later!”

By the way… all this food is on a lovely little table…! Σ(・Д・」)

(・∀・) “That’s right! She even comes with a kotatsu table… which even has the heater on the bottom!”

Oooh! Lovely!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

The kotatsu also seems to have a second cushion with it… a red cushion…

(・∀・) “Indeed! This is of course to allow for this!”

Oooohh!! （*´▽｀*）

Just look how happy Akagi-san is munching on her rice together with Kaga!♡

(・∀・) “Considering the parts that Akagi came with, we really wanted to be able to pose the two of them together like this! But there is another scene… a slightly sadder scene that can also be reenacted with the Nendoroids…”

Hmm? Kyojin seems a little depressed all of a sudden…?

All sorts of possibilities with the various expressions and extra parts… meaning all sorts of fun to be had! The parts really allow for a story to be told! (｀・ω・´)

(・∀・) “Displaying her together with Akagi or the other KanMusu girls will bring out the KanColle universe more than ever!”

Bring the cool and composed Kaga home with you to keep you company!

She is scheduled to go up for preorder on the 15th May!

By the way… Nendoroid Akagi is scheduled to ship out from GSC on the 14th May, which means… Kaga is being officially announced one day after Akagi’s release! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

I wonder if this was a planned schedule…?

Houki Shinonono: Swimsuit Ver.

It’s really started to warm up a bit now… I fear that the brunt of Summer is almost upon us! I’m not looking forward to being hot and sweaty all day…

But anyway! Today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure from gift that’s already up for preorder, and is perfect for the Summer…

Houki Shinonono: Swimsuit Ver.!

From the anime series IS (Infinite Stratos) comes a 1/7th scale figure of one of the heroines, Houki Shinonono! She has been sculpted in a cute pose with a rather embarrassed expression on her face – showing just how bashful she is when you stare at her!

Oooohh!!（*´▽｀*）

The ‘first’ childhood friend wearing a rather sexy swimsuit!! ♡

Just look at that lovely looking body!!
I could stare at her for ages… ＜●＞＜●＞

They look so soft and squishy… (ﾟＡﾟ;)

But once you managed to peel your eyes away and move down to her belly button and hips, you’ll notice they’re just as amazing! ( -ﾉｪ-)

I can’t br the only one who wants to slowly run my fingers along her body…!

Her bottom and thighs are just as enthralling! Look at how the swimsuit clings onto her skin! Nobody should miss out on this!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

The indent on her back and the creases on the swimsuit are also hard to ignore… I’m fairly certain that Yassan in the seat next to mine also kept peeking over while I was taking photos! At least now I know I’m not alone in my love for the details!

A higher angle shows a different side of her beauty!

However! I also think that this figure holds back on the sexy side of things a bit… which I think is a part of what makes her so special! (ﾉ｀・∀・)ﾉ

Obviously almost any figure in a swimsuit will have a certain element of sexiness to it, but Houki also has that embarrassed look on her face… with her arms posed as if a little nervous – it really helps to bring out her character!

The expression shows her more childish side beautifully! It’s so cute! ♡

The combination of embarrassment with a bit of an angry glare is lovely! Her long twin ponytail has also been sculpted in beautiful detail! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

The dynamic sculpting of her hair matches with the embarrassed pose nicely!

The ups and downs on her back formed by her shoulder blades also look great! It’s amazing how such a simple pose can have so many amazing points to look at… Gift has done an amazing job! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Be sure to enjoy her from all sorts of different angles if you decide to pick her up for yourself! The tsundere childhood friend…

I’ve always believed that real ‘childhood friends’ are nothing more than an urban legend. They seem to come up all the time in stories… and yet I for one certainly don’t have any! (´・ω・｀)

But anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Chitoge Kirisaki

From the romantic comedy anime series ‘Nisekoi’ comes a Nendoroid of the main heroine, Chitoge Kirisaki! She comes with three expressions including her cheerful smiling face, a winking face and a panicked face.

Optional parts include her notebook, school bag and the ‘Promise Key’ from ‘Zawsze in Love’ which plays an important role in the story! Recreate your favorite scenes from the series in cute Nendoroid size!

The daughter of the Bee Hive Gang’s boss has joined the Nendoroid series!

She stands above the rest in cuteness, is great at sports, is intelligent, strong minded and yet also has a feminine side. Plus on top of all that she has a wonderful tsundere personality – so much packed into one character! She also comes with the ‘Promise Key’, a rather important item in the story! ( -ﾉｪ-)

I personally love her winking expression! ☆

The way she holds her bag in Nendoroid size suits her perfectly, and looking at her from the back, you’ll notice the detail on the bad is rather impressive too!

Her golden blond hair together with the slight pink tips have been faithfully preserved in Nendoroid size with the use of a gradient! ♪

(・∀・) “Her ponytail is attached with a joint allowing you to position the hair to match your pose!”

We’re joined by the Nendoroid’s planner, Yassan!

(・∀・) “Chitoge is known for her more jumps, kicks and is generally a very mobile character, so we wanted to allow for more dynamic poses on the Nendoroid too! The base of the ribbon is circular, allowing it to be spun around to different angles as well!”

Ooh, I see! Let me explain to everyone with a carefully hand-drawn diagram!

(；・∀・) “I-I’m not sure that’s much more of an explanation…”

It’s a test of everyone’s imagination! ＜●＞＜●＞

(・∀・) “Speaking of imagination, Nendoroid Chitoge Kirisaki comes with another expression that I imagine can be used with an endless number of scenes… Her panicked, embarrassed expression!”

Oooooohh!! (*´Д`)

(・∀・) “This expression really brings out her tsundere side! It has that embarrassed look while still trying desperately to hide something! Various Nendoroids have had tsundere expressions in the past, but I think this ‘type’ is a first!”

That’s a good point! There have been various expressions that have a tsudere appeal to them, but this one has a very unique feeling to it! (｀・ω・´)

(・∀・) “The fact that you can see her teeth sticking out a bit, together with the almost threatening look… I love how it came out!”

Of course she also comes with her notebook to be embarrassed about!

(・∀・) “The notebook which allowed Raku to get a look at the ‘real’ Chitoge! It just had to be included!”

That scene where Chitoge was revealed to be so earnestly trying to make friends was so very memorable! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

(・∀・) “Chitoge would never openly admit to it though! Fans can enjoy this side of her whenever they like!”

…and what a lovely side it is! Delicious!!!

(・∀・) “There is another pose that I think matched the expression really well…”

Dokodemo Rensouhou-chan

Tomorrow is the start of the ‘Golden Week’ holiday period in Japan, and yet it seemed like there were already a lot less people at my local station today… I guess some people started their holidays a little early! I for one look forward to becoming a hikkikomori and hiding in my room for the week! (｀・ω・´)

Anyways, today I’m going to be taking a look at a product which was announced yesterday…

Dokodemo Rensouhou-chan!

From Kantai Collection -KanColle- comes a palm-sized PVC soft vinyl figure of Shimakaze’s Rensouhou-chan! You can easily display him as a standard figure, but he also comes with Velcro attachments on his legs and on the back of his head to place him in all sorts of interesting places! Take Rensouhou-chan with you no matter where you go!

A Rensouhou-chan figure to enjoy no matter where you go! ☆

He is a soft vinyl figure with Velcro attachments allowing him to be placed securely in all sorts of places! The Velcro is both on the bottom and on the back of his head!

The sculpting is also simple yet adorable, with even things like the propeller and ‘Zegamashi’ writing faithfully preserved in figure form! (ﾉ｀・∀・)ﾉ

Size comparison with an iPhone!

He is currently planned to include 40cm of Velcro, but that might change – this is just a prototype after all… he is still in development!

This weekend on the 3rd and 4th May, the second race of the 2014 SUPER GT will be taking place at the Fuji Speedway!

Nendoroid Petite: Rage of Bahamut

Last year, the backpacks with a dragon head sticking out to make you look like a dragon trainer became quite popular. I thought they were such an amazing idea, but I’ve yet to meet anyone who actually uses one… I hope one day I’ll get the chance!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at this set of Nendoroid Petites, which were announced yesterday!

Nendoroid Petite: Rage of Bahamut

From the popular social game ‘Rage of Bahamut’ comes a set of cute little trading figures to join the Nendoroid Petite series!

The set features a total of seven characters including Fighter, Cerberus, Vania, Orchis, Feena, Teena and one secret character! Enjoy the mysterious beauty of the Rage of Bahamut world in adorable Nendoroid Petite form!

Ooooh!!! （*´▽｀*）

Six different characters as well as a secret character all from the game filled with beautifully illustrated cards – Rage of Bahamut! ♥

Each of their outfits have such an amazing ‘fantasy’ atmosphere to them! I could look at the cute little designs for ages! Their necks and legs are also articulated, allowing for some different angles as well! (｀・ω・´)

Let’s go through and take a look at each of the characters!

– Fighter –

Sword, cloak and shield! The staple adventurer!!
His expression has a cute, but confident look to it! （*´▽｀*）♡

Both his hair and cloak are sculpted with a slightly dynamic feel to them, as if hit by a little gust of wind!

– Cerberus –

Even in Nendoroid Petite size she is overflowing with sexiness! The mischievous expression is also adorable! ♫

Her outfit and accessories are all faithfully shrunk down, and the gradient of her hair has even been faithfully preserved!

While we’re talking about Cerberus… also remember that Max Factory’s 1/7th Scale Cerberus is scheduled to go on sale from next month! ♪

Fans can enjoy her while they wait for the Nendoroid Petite to display with her!

– Vania –

Yay, Vania-chan is also here!! Her frilly skirt and high-laced boots are my personal highlights! ♡

She looks great from the back as well – her long hair flowing down behind her giving the whole figure a more dynamic appearance!

– Orchis –

(・∀・) “She’s my personal favorite!”

Today we’re joined by the sets planner, Otanaka-shi!

(・∀・) “As an avid player of Rage of Bahamut, I was so happy to be involved with this project!”

Orchis’ characteristic hairstyle has really come out looking great!

(・∀・) “The hair really brings out her design! When working on small figures like Nendoroid Petites a lot of thought always needs to be put into how much detail can actually be put in… but the illustrations for Rage of Bahamut are all so enthralling that we really tried out best to keep every bit of detail possible!”

Even her doll is sculpted with such intricacy…!
It just goes to show your love for the game I suppose!

– Feena –

I think the goblin hunter went hunting for my heart instead! She’s so cute!!

(・∀・) “Feena’s outfit and weapon have also been kept faithful to the illustration! She also appears in the event that started in the game yesterday… be sure to take a look!”

Even in this size I can feel her energetic personality coming through from her pose and smile! Her outfit and hat are also billowing around her! (*´∀｀*)

– Teena –

A cute green skirt and a tightly tied waist! I adore this outfit! (ﾉ｀・∀・)ﾉ

(・∀・) “Even though her outfit shows virtually no skin at all, her pose and expression captures the cute, lovable side of her nicely!”

Her fluffy looking hair also looks just like it did on the card! Not to mention I love girls with capes (*´Д`)

Nendoroid Mackenzie & Funghi

I once wished I could become a detective… but thinking about it now, I’m sure I’d be absolutely terrible at things like tailing people…

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Mackenzie & Funghi!

From the popular game ‘Touch Detective’ comes a Nendoroid of the main character Mackenzie as well as her assistant, Funghi!

She comes with three different expressions and a number of different arm parts allowing for all sorts of poses from the game – including her trademark ‘touch’ pose as well as her deducing pose! The ‘Fungcoin’ which is an important element in the upcoming ‘Touch Detective 3’ is also included! Get ready to head out and solve some difficult cases with Mackenzie and Funghi!

It literally looks like she just jumped out of the game!
The Nendoroid design suits her perfectly!

Her tight white hat, fluttering white scarf and pleated skirt – everything about her outfit has sculpted and painted beautifully!

Her professional assistant Funghi is included to display by her side! (ﾉ｀・∀・)ﾉ

Comparing Funghi with Mackenzie gives you a good idea of his size! The scale was even specially matched with the game! (｀・ω・´)

(・∀・) “There are some things I wanted to share about Nendoroid Mackenzie & Funghi!

(・∀・) “First up, as you may have noticed… her hat is fully removable!”

In order to make sure that you could enjoy her with or without the hat, there isn’t even a tab that connects it onto the head – but don’t worry, it fits on incredibly securely even without a tab!

Mackenzie without her hat is something you don’t even get to see much in the game… a rather rare sight for fans to enjoy! ♪

(・∀・) “Next up… a quick explanation about the ‘shadow’ on her expression”

(・∀・) “One of Mackenzie’s most characteristic features is the shadow that her hair casts on her face. We wanted to make sure we kept a similar look, and after trying all sorts of different options and getting the publisher’s opinions on each and everyone… we eventually settled on simply keeping the original illustration as is on the Nendoroid. This was the option that really kept most faithfully to her appearance in-game!”

The shadow really is what gives the Nendoroid that unique appearance from the game! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

(・∀・) “Finally… there is one optional part that will debut for the first time in this blog!”

(・∀・) “This is the ‘Fungcoin’ – a new feature added to the upcoming 3DS game, ‘Touch Detective 3’!”

Nendoroid Iona

Full speed ahead!!

I don’t think I’ve been swimming in the ocean for over two years now… mainly because I can’t swim! I can’t stand opening my eyes underwater either! I’d rather stay on the beach and collect shells!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Iona! ♡

From the popular anime series ‘Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the Mental Model, Iona

She comes with two expressions including her gentle standard face as well as a the smiling expression from the final battle. Optional parts include the ‘data rings’ that can be displayed around her, sitting parts and even a starfish! The sitting parts allow you to display Iona as if she was sitting in the bridge!

An adorable Nendoroid of I-401’s Mental Model, Iona! ♫

She really is just too cute!!

Her neck tie comes in two different versions, one standard, and one plowing up in the wind like this! The rest of her blue sailor outfit has also been sculpted beautifully! ( -ﾉｪ-)

Her skirt is also sculpted with a fit of a fluttering appearance. Along with her standard expression you can see above, she also comes with a gentle smiling expression that’ll warm up even the coldest of hearts! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

Her expressions really bring out her character nicely, and the design overall really works with the Nendoroid look so well! The very first photo on this blog had Iona in what looked like a sitting pose…? Σ(OωO )

(・∀・) “That would be the first thing I’d want to bring up anyway – parts included to display Iona sitting on the bridge!”

(・∀・) “This allows fans to recreate the famous ‘Full speed ahead’ scene from the series!”

Ooh! So she not only comes with an alternate lower body part to display her sitting… but a special stand for her to sit on too! ヽ(ｏ´∀｀ｏ)ﾉ

(・∀・) “Yep! Why is it that when cute girls sit this it looks so very cute…?”

(・∀・) “My next personal highlight, are these ‘data ring’ parts!”

Oooh!! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

(・∀・) “Thanks to the help of Sanzigen, they’re also perfectly faithful to the series!”

Just look how intricate they are!!

Looking at the rings really brings out the atmosphere of the series! I can already hear the BGM playing through my head! (o・ω・o)

(・∀・) “Iona is a Mental Model and we wanted parts that showed this, so these rings were included! On this painted prototype they are a very thin, bent plastic supported by a the prop of the base. The final method they are included may differ, but they’ll likely be based on this idea!”

(・∀・) “Next up we have something I just had to include… a starfish!”

It looks so soft and squishy! ヾ(oﾟωﾟo)ﾉﾞ

(・∀・) “Unfortunately it’s rather hard when you actually touch it though… the scale of the starfish is actually slightly smaller than it should be, but we thought a smaller starfish suited the Nendoroid appearance better!”

The anime series is currently bring rebroadcast on TOKYO MX and SUN-TV, and I made sure to rewatch the episode where she poked the starfish… it’s somehow so relaxing!

(・∀・) “I do hope fans will enjoy having Nendoroid Iona by their side… perhaps she will also have some friends to join her soon?”
