Nendoroid Strength: TV ANIMATION Ver.

Christmas is around the corner and instead of going out on Christmas Eve… I’ve decided to have a Blu-ray watching evening in my house! (=´∀｀)人(´∀｀=)


Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure shipping out from GSC on the 16th December…

Nendoroid Strength: TV ANIMATION Ver.!


When I took a look at the prototype version of this figure for the blog I was so worried I was going to break some of the mechanical bits of her… so I had to be super careful…! (((((；ﾟДﾟ)))))))


Now that I have a product sample I finally play to my heart’s content without worrying!! This is how the packaging looks! ♪


Strength’s stand connector isn’t on her back, but on her head part!


The large hood allows for a very easy and stable connection! But Strength has another way to stand that doesn’t even require the Nendoroid stand!


She can easily balance on her four giant hands! She balances so easily that even someone as clumsy as myself can get her standing up with ease!


Her insane expression can be used for all sorts of poses! (ﾟＡﾟ;)ｺﾞｸﾘ


Plus… even though they were not originally going to be included, we also included some standard sized hands due to popular demand!


They definitely make for a much calmer looking version of Strength! (｀・ω・´)
… But then contrast the calm image above with this one below!


This pose makes use of effect parts to display her in a combat scene!


All sorts of parts to help you recreate your favorite scenes from the series!

At the start of the blog I took a picture of Strength together with a small little Christmas Tree, but I decided to get some pictures with the big one on display in the offices too! ♪

It’s huge!!


It also features the wooser strap from the Shirukuma & wooser’s Chummy Shiruko Set as one of it’s decorations! I decided Strength could become an additional decoration too!

Nendoroid Uzume Uno!

♪ Ima yo! Fantasista Doll! ♪

I can’t get the opening theme of Fantasista Doll out of my head! But that’s perfect, as today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Uzume Uno! ☆

From the anime series ‘Fantasista Doll’ comes a Nendoroid of Uzume Uno, the main character who makes contracts with the ‘Fantasista Dolls’ summoned from cards.

She comes with three expressions including a smiling face, upset face and kissing expression based on the ending theme’s illustrations. She also comes with parts to recreate the famous drum roll scene from the series!

The adorable card master has become even smaller and cuter than ever before! Her middle school uniform also looks lovely in Nendoroid size!

This is how she looks from the back! ♪

Of course her device and a card are included to display with her too! （*´▽｀*）

“Stars, shining bright as you cross the heavens.
Crystals, glittering with timeless beauty.
I call upon your endless providence now… reveal your true form to me now!
Awakening!”

If you’ve managed to memorize these summoning words then hats off to you! I give you a firm virtual handshake! (｀・ω・´)!!

Anyway! Together with the lovely smile you saw above, Uzume also comes with a kissing expression based on the ending theme of the series! ♡

I wish I could place all the dolls around her ready to swap out for a kiss! (*´Д`)

(・∀・) “To be more specific, it’s based on the scene from episode 5, where she sits all the dolls down and scolds them!”

If I was told that sweets were banned I would react just like Akari… “Have mercy!” ((((；ﾟДﾟ)))) … Hey! Where’d her hat go?!

(・∀・) “Oh yes, her hat is also fully removable!”

Yay! I love having the option to display her without the hat! （*´▽｀*）

(・∀・) “She also comes with some another optional part, perfect for use with the upset expression!”

Ah, the famous ‘drum roll’ scene! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

(・∀・)” ‘I’m not sure whether it fell from the sky, or grew from the ground!'”

The drum roll scene was so rather shocking at first, but I went back and watched it over and over again… it’s so addictive!

Nendoroid Petite: Macross Heroines & Nendoroid More After Parts!

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

As much as I’d love to go on a journey to outer space… my stomach has trouble with aeroplanes and roller coasters, so I think it’s fairly likely that my body wouldn’t like going into space either…

But today we’ll be taking a look at some girls who have all journeyed all around the universe and are ready to ship out from GSC on the 16th December…

Nendoroid Petite: Macross Heroines!

The larger box features lovely big shots of Ranka and Sheryl, and the smaller box features Lynn Minmay! Of course all the others are all included on the packaging too… just not as big! ♡

The set includes (from the left): Sara Nome, Mylene Jenius, Ranka Lee, Sheryl Nome, Lynn Minmay and Sharon Apple

These six as well as one secret character are all in the set, making for a total of seven heroines to collect! ♪

Here is a little hint for the secret character…! ( -ﾉｪ-)

I’m sure most fans can easily determine who this is just from the silhouette!

But today I’ll also be taking a look at another two products that were released today: Nendoroid More: After Parts 01 & Nendoroid More: After Parts 02.

These parts are officially designed for full-size Nendoroids, but depending on how you use them you can also use them with Nendoroid Petites! (｀・ω・´)

Here is an overall look at which parts are included in which set:

*Other parts that allow the ears and tail to be connected are also included.

Here I have the sun parts from After Parts 01 displayed with Sara Nome!

One simple sun and you can help to recreate the atmosphere of Mayan Island! Some of the parts can definitely be used with Nendoroid Petites too! ♥

By the way, I’m making use of a standard square Nendoroid base to display the Nendoroid Petites together with the After Parts!

I’m sure many of you are already aware, but for those who don’t know…

The Nendoroid stand features two differently sized holes. The smaller ones are for the standard Nendoroid stand… but the bigger ones are actually for Nendoroid Petites!

*Different stands do sometimes have varying sizes. Not all include the right sizes.
* A longer rectangular stand is included with the After Parts sets, but this stand is not compatible with Nendoroid Petites.

After Parts Set #01 also includes starts and the moon!

They match nicely with Sharon Apple’s mysterious character! ε=(｡・д・｡)

And speaking of matching, the musical note parts in After Parts 01 suit Mylene Jenius beautifully!

The Nendoroid More After Parts 01 Set also comes with both long and short props to display the parts on, so just pick the one that suits your character best!

Moving on, let’s take a look at Lynn Minmay… with angel wings! ♡

I always knew she was an angel!! （*´▽｀*）

The parts in the photo are actually placed like this:

It does mean that angle you can see the angelic Lynn from is only from the front, but it’s completely worth it in my eyes! She’s so cute!!

If you display two Nendoroid Petites on one large square Nendoroid stand, you can display them much closer and able to interact with each other! Just like Sheryl and Ranka here! ♪

The Songstress of the Racing Circuit: Racing Miku 2013 ver.

I was never able to complete my driving lessons successfully, and ended up quitting half way though… I just couldn’t seem to get it right. (´；ω；｀)

But that aside, today we’re going to be taking a look at:

Racing Miku: 2013 ver.!

GSR&Studie with TeamUKYO took part in the GT300 class races of one Japan’s most well known motor races, the SUPER GT 2013, and they finished the season in third place! The main mascot character for the team is of course Racing Miku, who has been sculpted in a 1/8th scale for fans of both Miku and the racing team to enjoy.

Racing Miku 2013 was illustrated by saitom with costume design by Mari Shimazaki – both of their unique touches have been preserved on the figure to bring a high quality design and sculpt that fans will be proud to own!

S-She’s beautiful!! （*´▽｀*）

From the top of the cute crown on her head…


Down her slender arms, to the detailed nails on the tips of her fingers…


Not to mention her long, soft looking legs! ♪

She is such a treat for the eyes!!! ＜●＞＜●＞

Racing Miku’s 2013 Ver. was illustrated by saitom with a costume design by Mari Shimazaki, and this figure version has pulled out all the stops to ensure that the same charms from that illustration have all been preserved on the sculpt!

Racing Miku 2012 ver. had a more innocent and childish look which I definitely found very adorable… but the beautiful 2013 ver. has a much sexier look that is also to die for…! ε=(｡・д・｡) *nomnom*ﾞ

Her expression this time around has a very determined, confident feeling, mixed in with the cute Miku! This is how she looks from the back!♪

The gradient on her collar and heels has come out beautifully! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

The tips of her long twin tails also slowly fade to a clear PVC, which looks fantastic! The same clear effect can be seen on the area around her skirt!

All the movement that comes from her body being twisted has been faithfully preserved, giving the figure a rather dynamic feeling as well! Whilst playing around I decided that this was my best angle…

From this angle you can enjoy her armpits, hips, belly button and thighs all at the same time! (｀・ω・´)

The creases in her outfit around her hips and the line down to her thighs are both magnificent! Not to mention that cute little belly button you can make out from under her clothes! Her thighs look so realistic that I honestly thought they’d be soft when I touched them…

(・∀・) “People who have seen the left armpit will naturally want a good look at the right one too!”

A personal look into human psychology by GSC’s biggest Miku fan, Hamako!

(・∀・) “Just like the last Racing Miku, this one is packed with highlights! Take another photo from a low angle for everyone!”

Those smooth armpits and her belly button… Why is it that we get so exited seeing these areas we don’t normally get to see?!

(・∀・) “It is rather strange, isn’t it?”

What is your best part about the figure, Hamako?

(・∀・) “Personally I love the flow of her hair and the detail on her fingertips! From a straight on angle you can enjoy everything including the belly and armpits that you love so much!”


(・∀・) “But she is one of those figures that you really can enjoy from absolutely any angle, and I’d highly recommend doing so if you choose to pick her up! ♡”

1/8th Scale Akane Isshiki: Shipping out on the 16th December!

Bread in the morning has to be a sweet, else it doesn’t suit breakfast!
Today I’m going to be taking a look at this figure from Vivid Red Operation:

Akane Isshiki! ☆


A 1/8th scale figure of Akane riding on her hoverbike ‘Wanko’!

She’s in a lovely dynamic pose that really brings out her energetic personality, and she’s finally ready to be shipped out to everyone! The ever so important line from her thighs to her bottom has come out looking great…! (*´Д`）


The part of her shirt that is being blown up in the wind showing a little bit of her back really catches my eye! that little bit of skin you can see through the flap looks so smooth and soft…

But her thighs also look super soft and touchable…! （*´▽｀*）


The two ribbons in her hair as well as the larger one of her front are all fluttering in the wind! ☆


You can just hear Akane’s cute voice saying ‘Vroom, vroom’ while looking at this adorable expression and pose! (o・ω・o)

Akane herself is lovely and detailed, but the intricate detail on Wanko is also something to note!


The logo on the front of the basket has been faithfully included on the design, and Akane’s mayonnaise strap is also tried onto the back of the bike to show everyone just how much she loves Mayo! ♥


The newspapers in the front basket can be removed whenever you like!


This allows you to have Akane out delivering papers, or instead just out for a fun ride on Wanko!


Now for a little warning about the product! Akane herself and Wanko are separated in the packaging for this figure – you need to connect the two together yourself! (｀・ω・´；)

However don’t worry – it’s a simple task!

Simply follow the included instructions and you’ll have Akane riding her hoverbike in no time!

Seen I have a sample right here, let me give a little photo explanation too!

1: Remove Wanko’s Handles


Slowly twist the hoverbike’s handles until they become loose and gently pull them out.

2: Place the removed handles in Akane’s hands.


Note that I’m using a special photography technique (also known as double-sided tape) to hold Akane up here for a better look – she doesn’t actually balance by herself like this. ^^;

3: Place the metal bar into the sky-patterned base like so.


4: Connect the handlebars with Akane back onto Wanko, and then insert the metal bar into the special hole on the bottom of Wanko… and you’re done!


The footrests at the bottom of Wanko support Akane nicely!


To give everyone an idea of Wanko’s size, I decided to display it with a Nendoroid and Nendoroid Petite!


Nendoroid Mikudayo fits quite nicely into the basket! Recreate your favorite E.T. scenes with Mikudayo and Wanko!!

By the way, Nendoroid Akane Isshiki is also scheduled to ship out this month!

Nendoroid Iron Man Mark 42: Hero’s Edition + Hall of Armor Set

Oooohh!!

I am most impressed with today’s Nendoroid packaging… it has so many interesting extras but still keeps the Nendoroid packaging feeling in tact.
So without further ado, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Iron Man Mark 42:
Hero’s Edition + Hall of Armor Set


First I want to take a closer look at the packaging!! As I mentioned above it has some rather special features to it!


The eye areas on the box are slightly indented on the packaging! It’s a little hard to tell from the photo, but when you see and feel it for yourself you’ll know exactly what I mean! (；・∀・)

Now to figure out where I open up this box from… looks like it opens from the side! ((o(´∀｀)o))

This! This is so exquisite!! Σ(ﾟ∀ﾟﾉ)ﾉ


A special front cover that opens up to reveal the standard Nendoroid packaging! Plus look at the super shiny inside section!!


It’s so shiny that I can see myself!! orｚ

Let me try to get a better angle so you can see the actual images!


The inner side of the package cover features illustrations based on the ‘hall of armor’ where all the Iron Man armors of the past are stored They all look amazing, and the shininess really completes the effect so well!! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

But anyway, that’s enough about the packaging… let’s move onto the Nendoroid itself! ♪

Nendoroid Iron Man Mk.42 is fully posable just like his predecessor, allowing for all sorts of poses!


You can even pose him sitting down if you can get him to balance! ♪


By the way, this is how the packaging looks!


As you can see, a complete ‘Tony Stark’ head part is also included – this time with hair and all! ♪


He looks so cool and confident!! ☆

By the way, the mask section is removable, and using magnets on the head parts you can also make a pose like this!


A pose with just the mask section open to show the handsome face inside! ♥

The combat and flying parts from the previous Nendoroid Iron Man are included once again! (｀・ω・´)


Ahh… I really like this pose…! (*´Д`)

But the other thing I really want to show off is this awesome stand, featuring the Iron Man suits #1 through #7…

The Hall of Armor Stand! ♪


They’re so small, and yet each so detailed!
You can tell the difference between each of them! (つд⊂)ｺﾞｼｺﾞｼ( ﾟдﾟ)ﾊｯ!


The main reason this base was included was to recreate the famous ‘floor punch’ pose from the movie!


Using the specially included parts, even if you’re as clumsy as me you can easily create the pose! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The bent leg part can be used for some other poses as well!

Ah, we’ve suddenly been joined by the figure’s planner, Enon-shi!

Ooh! Just before the famous punch scene! This is awesome!!

Today I present everyone with some brand new Snow Miku news! A lot of the time Snow Miku is only associated with Nendoroids… but the time has come for her to join the figma series! Today I’ll be taking a look at none other than…

figma Snow Miku!! ♡♡

· The famous Snow Miku that was changed into a Nendoroid for the Sapporo Snow Festival is finally becoming a figma too!
· The newly designed original figma joints allow for better articulation, letting you create all sorts of different poses!
· She comes with an adorable smiling expression, a cheerful singing expression and a blushing expression.
· An attachable scarf and gloves are included, and she also comes with a snowman mascot holding a microphone.
· An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

I’ve been waiting so long for this day!! (*´Д`)

I was constantly worried that Snow Miku may never become a figma… but this Winter figma fans like myself can rejoice!! Let’s have a word with the planner for the figma, Akane Eiseihei from Max Factory!

(・∀・) “Sorry for the wait! We’re finally ready to bring you figma Snow Miku!”

It has been a couple of years since the original Snow Miku became a Nendoroid…

(・∀・) “When the Nendoroid was released, Kaneko Nitohei was constantly complimenting her cuteness!”

It’s about time we saw the figma! ★

(・∀・) “We did have loads of requests for figma Snow Miku… she uses the new dynamic joints that were used for figma Hatsune Miku 2.0, which will allow for all sorts of poses such as playing in the snow, singing or dancing!”

How did you get such a unique looking expression, Akane-sensei?!

(・∀・) “I’d have to say the main difference is the eyebrows! They add a little bit of uncertainty to the expression which really pulls it together! There are many expressions with eyebrows in this shape, but not many combined with an embarrassed look – so it was something I really wanted to try!”

I see!! The eyebrows have such a strong effect! It really somehow seems to touch my heart more than most embarrassed expressions! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

(・∀・) “I hope everyone else feels the same way! ♡”

The coloring is also fantastic! The gentle blue and white outfit as well as the gradient in the hair is lovely! (｀・ω・´)★

(・∀・) “The silver areas are also not too shiny, but add just enough shine to make her beautiful! The tips of her hair are made from clear PVC, which gradually fades into a more solid color!! ♡”

Nendoroid Saber Bride

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

In most cases I’m terrible at housework and tend to put it off as much as possible… but when it comes to arranging my manga collection, I’ll happily spend some time on it! ♪ <(ﾟεﾟ；)>

That said… if I ever wanted to get married I think I’d have to take lessons in housekeeping first… Speaking of getting married, today we’re going to be taking a look at this beautiful bride!

Nendoroid Saber Bride! ♪


From the popular game ‘Fate/EXTRA CCC’ comes a Nendoroid of Saber Bride.

She comes three expressions including a smiling expression, a sideways glancing expression and even a special expression illustrated by wadarco, the game’s character designer, for a more chibi looking Saber! Her sword, ‘Aestus Estus: The Embryonic Flame’ is also included, allowing for various different poses for fans to enjoy!

What a beautiful, adorable bride she is! (*´Д`)♡


The details on the veil are impeccable!


The slightly charred color of the very edges are also faithfully preserved, and the flowers atop her veil are also carefully sculpted!


Her weapon, ‘Aestus Estus’ is also included!


You can also pose her in combat poses like so! ε=(｡・д・｡)


The zips all over her wedding dress create a somewhat tight appearance, but still leave it looking soft and flowing! The sideways glancing expression also suits both the outfit and Aestus Estus nicely! ★

Create an even more elegant Saber by posing her pushing up her hair in a pose like this! ♪

She looks super happy… and the musical note attached to her sticking up hair adds an even more bouncy and playful feeling to the expression! ♪

The contrast between the two different looks is rather impressive… it’s almost hard to think they’re the same character. But I’m once again not sure which expression I would use – they both have their own distinctive upsides!

The trip to work and back seems to be getting colder each and every day now. I’ve already started to come to work wrapped up in a warm scarf! Today I’m going to be taking a look at a product which suits the cold weather perfectly!

Inside of the wooser or Shirukuma shapes you will find freeze-dried oshiruko, a kind of soup! The wooser shape is still in development, but I think it looks lovely already! Let’s give one a try and see how it works!

Shirukuma is also adorable!!
The form is so simple… yet gives off such an adorable aura! (*´Д`)
Let’s take a look at the instructions…
It looks relatively simple… let’s give it a go! ★
1: Create an opening in the center and place in a cup.
I can’t help but feel a little bad as I cut through the poor creature…
2: Pour in 80ml of boiling water.
As soon as the water touches the freeze-dried goodness inside, you’ll start to smell the lovely scent of the shiruko! Try to pour the water directly onto the powder and not the outer shell!
3: Mix with a spoon, and enjoy!

Mix, mix, swirl, mix…!
Done! That really was super easy! ♡(σ・∀・)σ

It’s got a lovely flavour and really does make you feel all warm inside… the outer shell is also surprisingly filling, perfect for Winter snack time! ♪
Plus they’re not just delicious, but also come with original rubber straps!

Shirukuma goods are pretty rare… so this is quite a unique item for fans!

This is actually the second food-related wooser product to be released, following on from wooser’s Preserved Food to Take to a Deserted Island!

The other day I was able to visit the wooser dubbing studios, where I got a comment from wooser’s voice actor, Mamoru Miyano!
In the first season, wooser made a very striking debut and everyone was rather… shocked by what they saw. Yet everyone continued to support him, cheer for him and ask for more. And so, somehow we’ve managed to bring a second season – something that I’m personally very happy to see become a reality!

wooser’s anime series has an incredibly open and free feeling to it, and through that and what was learned from the first season, I’m confident the second season will being fans more of what they are hoping for, and more of what they are sure to enjoy. I hope everyone will enjoy the second season as much as I enjoyed voicing it. I was also the artist for the opening song this time around, so I hope everyone will enjoy that too!
