Today we’ll be taking a look at…
Kurisu Makise: White Coat Ver.!

The ‘hypothetical science adventure’ game Steins;Gate has just recently had a sequel and movie version released, and from that series comes a 1/8th scale figure of Kurisu Makise wearing her white lab coat. She is posed with her long white lab coat fluttering behind her, as she blushes with the same cute expression she made whenever others made fun of her.

In her right hand she holds a bottle of ‘Dr.Iepper’ and on her left wrist she is wearing Mirai Gadget #12: ‘Darling no Baka’. It’s a pose and figure that any fans of the tsundere genius are sure to enjoy!

The first WonHobby product review is none other than Christina!!

This is a special version of the 1/8th scale Christina released in March 2012, which features her wearing her lab coat instead of her casual clothes! The pose is the same as the previous version, but the overall sculpting has been changed quite a bit when compared to the original!

Those who already own the original version can display the two together, while those who missed out on her can take this opportunity to add the lovely Christina to their collections!!

This is how she looks from the back!

On her left wrist you can see the Future Gadget #12: Darling no Baka, and in her right hand she is holding a bottle of Okarin and Christina’s favorite drink!

The bottle can be removed from her hand if you prefer to display her without it, or with something else that fits into her hand! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

This is the bottle and stickers included!

The label needs to be stuck on manually, but it’s just a matter of wrapping it around the middle so it’s not a difficult task at all!

Another thing I have to point out is the paintwork of the liquid in the bottle! Christina is holding the bottle at an angle, so the liquid inside the bottle is also slightly over to one side! Try and stick the label on so that the logo is on the side with less liquid, as this will leave the label showing when she is holding it at the right angle!

I wouldn’t call this flat-chested at all!!

The intricate curves of her body and arched back show off her bust quite nicely, and I don’t think it’s anything to be ashamed of at all! (In fact, I think they have quite a lovely shape!)

Not to mention that her low-rise hotpants and the creases on her blouse all look fantastic too!!

The blushing Christina looks so cute!

Tsundere! Tsundere!! ( ゚∀゚)o彡

She may normally be a very strong-willed character, but the times when these adorable expressions come out are when I really fall for her!

It’s also rather amazing how nicely huke’s original illustration has been preserved in the figure! It makes it a must-have figure not only for Steins;Gate fans, but also fans of huke as well!

The lab coat is a little too big for her!

Looking at her from the back and seeing the lab coat billowing behind her along with her hair flowing behind her really gives a lovely dynamic feeling to the figure! In most cases I don’t think a lab coat would ever be considered a fancy item of clothing, but the careful work of the sculptors and painters has turned this one into a feast for the eyes! Just look at those folds and shadows!!

Looking at the creases around her waist area really makes it seem like the lab coat is made from a soft fabric! The coat was very memorable in both the game and the movie, so it had to look great on the figure as well!! (`・ω・´)

Green slippers for the lab!

Inside the lab means a lab coat and green slippers! Yet another item that is very memorable in the series! The slightly raised up heel and the smooth stockings all come together to create some rather captivating legs!

The areas below her thighs and behind her knees make use of a slightly darker gradient to create a stocking-like appearance, which also looks fantastic!

The WonHobby 18 Exclusive Product:

Nendoroid Ranka Lee

Quiz Time!

Maru-sama from the design team is busy working on the packaging of a certain Nendoroid… who could it be?! (=゚ω゚)ノ

I suppose the title of the blog has once again given away to answer to my cunning quiz…! Maru-sama is working very hard to make a super cute design!

The prototype also seems to have found its way to his desk… so I think I’ll be borrowing that for a awhile!!

From Macross F:
Nendoroid Ranka Lee!

From the anime ‘Macross Frontier’ comes a Nendoroid of one of the heroines, Ranka Lee!

She comes with three expressions including a shouting expression, a singing expression and a winking expression to recreate her trademark ‘Kira’ pose. Optional parts include a microphone and various other exchangeable parts to help recreate one of her live performances. A special stage part is also also included which can be attached to her standard base to transform it into a stage for her to perform on!

Oooooh!!

(I’m trying to be one of the soldiers watching her…)

Following from the previously announced Nendoroid Sheryl comes a Nendoroid of the other heroine of the series – Ranka-chan!

Ever since I saw the unpainted prototype I’ve been patiently waiting for the day I could take a look at her painted version!! Look at that cute little belly button you can see under her fluttering top! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

This is how she looks from the back!

This is the ‘Seikan Hikou’ outfit seen in the second opening of the TV series as well as in the final episode! The mix of orange and yellow is so bright and colorful and suits Ranka’s cute personality perfectly! Her fluttering skirt and puffy sleeves are also faithfully preserved in Nendoroid size!

“Everyone embrace one another!
To the far end of of the Galaxy!”

“Suimen ga yuragu~♪”… I’m sure many of you already have the lyrics playing through your head now! The shouting expression and microphone create the lovely Ranka that appeared in the cockpit just before singing “Seikan Hikou”.

She was so very cute as she tried so hard to get the words out – and now you display her in that adorable pose to enjoy whenever you like!

Ohhhh!!! \Rankaaa!!/

Using the pointing hand, bent leg and singing expression you can pose Ranka in the middle of one of her performances!

A similar pointing arm was also included with Sheryl, which means this will also make for a lovely paired-up pose together with her! You can also place other hand parts on the outstretched arm, allowing for all sorts of interesting poses!

“You don’t know her?! (( ;゚Д゚))”
“The fill-in that grabbed the chance to become a star and hasn’t stopped since…”

“The Super-Dimensional Cinderella, Ranka-chan!!”

Kira!☆.:*:・’゚☆。.:*:・’゚★。.:*

I hardly think I’m over-exaggerating when I say that these two pictures are the reason today’s blog exists!! The ‘Kira’ pose is way too cute, and the Nendoroid effect only makes it even more adorable!

Anyone who looks at this cute face will have their pupils change into hearts! They’ll fall for Ranka-chan without a doubt!! The ‘Kira’ hand parts even include star effect parts to complete the full effect! (*´∀`*)

Stage parts are also included!

Just like Sheryl, Ranka comes with stage parts that look like the deck of one of the Macross ships! This connects onto the standard Nendoroid stand to create a little floating stage for Ranka to perform on!

I really wanted to display her together with Sheryl, but it seems many of Sheryl’s parts are off in China at the moment, so I was only able to get photos of her from the back. I look forward to displaying them together! (=゜ω゜)

From Macross F:
Nendoroid Ranka Lee!

Anyway, that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again next week!! (・∀・)ノ゛

Nendoroid Maria Takayama

Would anyone ever say no to a hand-made bento lunch?

No way!! (゚Д゚)

It doesn’t matter if it was made by a girl or a guy – if it was made for you then it will always be delicious!! I’m pretty sure I’d be happy to swear my loyalty to anyone who made be a bento…

Kanako looks very interested in this little bento in front of her… but let’s take a look at who it really belongs to!! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

From: Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai:
Nendoroid Maria Takayama!

From the anime series ‘Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT’ comes a Nendoroid of the 10 year-old nun with blue eyes and silver hair who works at St. Chronica’s Academy, Maria Takayama! She is sculpted wearing her nun’s habit, looking as cute and lively as ever!

She comes with various expression parts such as an upset face and blissful face to help you recreate your favorite scenes from the show. She also comes with some food parts to show just how much she loves eating – including a packet of her favorite potato chips as well as the bento lunchbox that Kodaka made for her!

She’s the forth Nendoroid in the ‘Haganai’ series!

The cute, innocent appearance has been captured in Nendoroid size perfectly!

The Nendo design does tend to make characters look a little more childish than normal, but Maria is only 10 years old to begin with, so it makes her look unbelievably adorable!! (*゜∀゜)=3

This is how she looks from the back!

Her nun’s hat unfortunately can’t be removed, but this was done as it allowed the overall balance and form of the figure to come out looking much better.

The wavy sculpting of the hat from the back looks really nice! I also love the little holy cross in the center of the hem on her skirt – the Nendoroid is very faithful to the original illustration!

The pose from the official site!!

Special arm parts allowing you to pose her with her two arms out to the side are included! The official illustration only shows this illustration from the side, but with the figure you can see it from any angle you wish! I can almost hear her making ‘whoosh’ sounds when I look at this pose! It’s so cute!

An upset expression showing her spoilt side!

There was a specific line she said with this pose which you might be thinking of, but I think I’ll avoid writing it out on the blog. 😛

The expression together with the bent arms and clenched fists make her look so very upset!! Let me give her something to calm her down! (*´∀`*)

She’s calmed down with some potato chips!

Just look at how blissful she looks while munching on those chips!! Not only does she come with a super happy expression, but also a special hand holding a chip and the packet of chips! (The amount of detail on the packet is ridiculous!!)

I finally understand why Yozora enjoyed giving her food!! 。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。

A sitting body and open bento box!

The ‘Haganai’ Nendoroids always come with so many different optional parts!!

Maria even comes with a sitting body part! Just look how happy she looks with the bento lunch that Kodaka made for her… although Kobato looks rather upset about it! Nendoroid Kobato-chan goes on sale this week, so once Maria releases you’ll be able to pose the two of them fighting together!!

She also has chopsticks and a wrapping cloth!

I generally like the larger optional parts like the sitting parts most, but when I see small parts like these with so much detail I can’t help but fall in love with them too! Not only can you pose her opening the bento box with the lid in her hands, you can also pose her holding chopsticks and enjoying her meal!

The cloth that the bento was wrapped up in on her lap is also included, but whether or not it will be removable is still under consideration!

From: Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai:

1/8th Scale Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len

Some early release samples have arrived!!!━(゚∀゚)━!!

These two were both high up on the Good Smile 10th Anniversary Rerelease Poll, and they’re finally being released tomorrow!!

They were originally released all the way back in June 2009! They completely sold out back then, but I’m sure there are many fans that either missed out or new fans that would love to get their hands on them now, and to answer those requests they’re back once again!! (`・ω・´)

1/8th Scale Kagamine Rin & Kagamine Len!

The popular 1/8th scale figures of Kagamine Len & Rin from the Character Vocal Series are being rereleased!

Both of them are posed energetically performing for his fans on stage – Len is about to burst into song, as he plays on his finely detailed keyboard, while Rin is grasping a mike in her hand, gazing ahead at her fans with a super cute expression and pose!

These are two of my favorite products, so I’m so very glad to see them rereleased!

I’ve been doing this blog for quite a long time now, but I can still remember doing the prototype reviews of these two so vividly! It was back in the Tsuchiya Building in Matsudo – I was fighting against time trying to get the nicest photos possible!! 😛

Even though these figures were sculpted around four years ago, they still look amazing even to today’s standards!

This is how they look from the back!

The youthful appearance that comes out of both of them is fantastic!! (*゜∀゜)=3

Another thing that really comes out nicely between the two of them is the difference between the “male” and “female” poses – it’s amazing how much their gender comes out from the poses alone!

The detail isn’t quite up to the same level as some of the latest figures, but obviously that also means the price is lower than normal! I can say with confidence they are well worth the money!

The adorable Rin-chan!!

She is posed with one hand on her hip and the other holding a mike as she sings for all her fans! Her pose has a bit of a cheeky look to it, and more than anything else her skin looks so soft and touchable!!

Just look at those sexy armpits!! (*´∀`*)

She also has a delicious tummy!!

Show us more!! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

Although she has a very thin waist, the area under her belly button is sticking out just a little showing the pull of gravity! A low angle like this provides the perfect look at all that lovely bare skin for fans to enjoy to their heart’s content!!

Another area that’s not to be missed!

I don’t think there is anyone out there who can look at this lovely roundness and not get a little excited!! These lovely curves are of course all thanks to the fact that she is wearing hot pants -it just wouldn’t be the same in a skirt!

Len playing his keyboard!

The dynamic feeling that comes out of this figure is amazing – it feels just like I’m watching him play at a live performance at this very second!

The pose with his legs opened up while leaning over his keyboard has a really unique feeling to it that captures his passion beautifully! (`・ω・´)

His feet are surprisingly detailed!

The little speakers on their feet have been faithfully sculpted on and painted a separate color! The little yellow tips on the feet may be small, but they really add to the overall feeling of the figure!

Then there are those lovely thighs that you can see all the way into the depths of his shorts! Rin isn’t the only one showing off skin!! (*゜∀゜)=3

Just look how handsome he is!!

I know all the Len fans will agree without a doubt, but I think this pose is cool enough for even those who aren’t fans to agree that this figure is something really special!

Position them however you like!!

Here I’ve posed the two of them as if they were in the middle of a live performance! They both connect onto the stands with just a single leg which becomes an axis for you to spin the figure into any angle you like! This means you can put them really close together or instead have them facing completely opposite directions!

Note that they are both sold separately, but if you decide to grab both of them be sure to display the two together!

1/8th Scale Kagamine Rin & Kagamine Len!

They’ll both be in stores from tomorrow!!
Get in contact with our partner shops if you have any preorder or sales queries!

Anyway, that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again tomorrow!! (・∀・)ノ゛

Nendoroid Mikoto Misaka

The staff from the overseas events should be back soon!!

Akiyama sent these photos through from ANIME EXPO 2013 in Los Angeles!

They must be so worn out from the event!!
Thanks for all the hard work everyone!!
ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

The event itself was four days long, so including setting up and packing everything away it must have been a good 6-7 days of hard work!! I hope everyone will arrive back in Japan safely…

I also hope all the prototypes manage to arrive back home safely!! I can’t do my reviews while they’re in another country!! I’m told that everyone should be back later today though!

But what am I going to do for today’s blog?!

I guess I have no choice but to do the same as I did with Akane-chan!! Today I’ll be a review using the photos provided by our professional photographer!

From Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S:
Nendoroid Mikoto Misaka!

From the popular anime ‘Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S’ comes a Nendoroid of Tokiwadai’s ‘Railgun’, also known as Mikoto Misaka!

She comes with a number of optional parts to help you recreate the Electric Princess in all her glory!

Onee-sama━━(*゚∀゚)=3━━━!!!!!

If Kuroko were to see this Nendoroid I think she’d go mad with excitement!! It’s been a long wait, but Onee-sama will finally be available for everyone in Nendoroid form!!

This is how she looks from the back!

She can be posed in her trademark pose with her school bag held over her shoulder! (*゚∀゚)=3

The bag even features Onee-sama’s beloved Gekota strap, and you can even make out the cute little expression on it!!

Pose her worried about her skirt!!

She comes with this embarrassed expression looking to the right, which lets you switch her from her standard ‘cool’ pose into a super cute pose! That upset looking mouth is so adorable!!

As most fans of Misaka will know, she wears short pants on top of her panties to make sure no one can peek! As far as I can see from this photo… that has been faithfully preserved in Nendoroid form!! It wouldn’t be Onee-sama without these important details!

Another embarrassed expression and cell-phone!

I guess she just noticed that she was doing something rather embarrassing while spacing out on her phone! Her Gekota cell-phone is included to help you recreate even more of your favorite scenes from the series!

A lightning bolt effect part for her head!

You’d best not make Misaka upset or you’re probably going to end up getting a bit of a shock, and this effect part is here to prove that! 😛

I get the feeling that the Nendoroid design amplifies Misaka’s cuteness when she’s embarrassed! I’d be happy to be shocked by her if I got to see this adorable Onee-sama!! (*´∀`*)

The coin used for her railgun!!

Misaka’s trademark attack is firing off a coin at super speeds just like a railgun, and that coin is even included to recreate this epic pose! The electricity dancing around her arms whenever she uses the attack is also included!!

The hardest thing is that you have to choose between this Onee-sama or the cuter embarrassed version… I don’t know which I prefer!!

Nendoroid Akane Isshiki

Japan Expo 2013 and ANIME EXPO 2013 took place in France and America this last weekend! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

Here is a picture from France!

It’s Monday evening here in Japan right now, but because of the time difference the events have probably only just finished over on that side of the world!! All the staff that went over for the events have probably just finished packing everything up! But I’m sure we should be seeing them all again soon!

I was hoping to review a prototype today while we wait for everyone to come home… but when I spoke to Hamayama to try and get hold of today’s prototype, I was told it was over at one of the overseas events!!

W-What am I going to do now?!

Although I’m actually quite happy to hear that! There aren’t a lot of chances for people outside of Japan to get a look at prototypes, so I hope everyone on the other side of the world got a good look this time around! ^^

That said, today’s blog is going to have to be done a little differently to normal! I’ll be using the professional product photos and commenting on them instead!

From Vivid Red Operation:
Nendoroid Akane Isshiki!

From the anime series ‘Vivid Red Operation’ comes a Nendoroid of the ever-cheerful main character, Akane Isshiki!

Her hover-bike ‘Wanko’ is also included as an optional part for her to ride on, and the otter form of Kenjirou Isshiki, ‘Uso-kun’ is included to stand by her side! Of course a bottle of Akane’s favorite mayonnaise is also included, allowing you to recreate a number of your favorite scenes from the series!

She can be posed riding her hover-bike, Wanko!

This creates the same pose as the 1/8th scale figure! The Nendoroid-sized Wanko is adorable! (*´∀`*)

Even in Nendoroid-size the amount of detail you can see on the bike is fantastic! Of course the Nendoroid can get off Wanko and take many other poses too!

The ever-optimistic Akane-chan!!

Using the bent arms and legs you can pose her energetically running about! Her twin-tails also have joints so you can create a really dynamic pose with the wind blowing through her hair too!!

Akane-chan has such an innocent, natural feeling to her which is captured in the Nendoroid perfectly! She’s come out looking great!!

Her beloved mayonnaise bottle is also included!

Akane-chan loves mayonnaise so much that she even covers her rice in it, so it simply had to be included with the Nendoroid! You can even pose her holding it with both hands just like in the series! Σ(゜∀゜ )

I wonder how she stays so thin while eating all that mayonnaise! I’m jealous!!

This is how she looks from the back!

She even comes with a school bag to pose her on the way to school! The uniforms in the series made use of hot-pants, which is quite rare in anime series and Nendoroids, but they look very nice here!!

I can think of so many fun poses to put her in!!

“Ignition! Texture on!”

The pose just before her transformation scene! The special ‘key’ she needs to transform is also amazingly detailed – it looks exactly like it did in the series!!

Her grandfather Kenjirou Isshiki is also included in the otter plushie form that he ends up in! Isn’t he adorable!! (*゜∀゜)=3

I love the shape of his mouth and cheek area! It just makes me wish he was real so I could squeeze them!! When I think about it, the simple fact that I can make out the cheeks on the tiny figure is amazing in the first place!!

From Vivid Red Operation:

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Yukata Ver. Natsutsubaki

There are currently events going on in both France and America!!

They’re both taking place from the 4th to the 7th July 2013!

France (Paris): Japan Expo 2013
America (LA): ANIME EXPO 2013

Both GSC and Max Factory staff are taking part in the events as well! The photo above is from the event hall at ANIME EXPO 2013!! This was from the day before the event so it’s quiet now… but I’m sure it’s super busy by now!

The Nendo I introduced yesterday ‘Nendoroid Maiko Madoka’ as well as the ‘Nendoroid Yukata Miku’ I’ll be introducing today are both on sale at these international events! Plus they will also be available at CCG Expo to be held in Shanghai at a later stage!! (`・ω・´)

These two have become the ambassadors for Japan at these overseas events!!

They’ll also be available for online order for those in other countries!

Online orders will start on Monday the 8th of July!
I hope that these reviews will help you decide whether you want them!

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Yukata Ver. Natsutsubaki!

From the ‘Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku’ comes a Nendoroid of Hatsune Miku wearing a all-new red yukata! The lovely yukata has a design which makes use of the ‘natsutsubaki’ flower, and her famous twin-tails are just as cute as ever! Even during the hot summer, Miku is ready to perform for everyone!

She comes with three different expressions including a standard smiling face, a charming winking expression and a chibi drooling face for all the delicious food she’ll find during the Summer festivals! She also comes with some extra items to ensure she has fun at the festival, including a candy apple and a balloon yo-yo!

Miku-san is wearing a yukata once again this year, and this time it’s a lovely vibrant red! (*゚∀゚*)

Last year she was wearing a darker blue, but this time she is in a bright red, which has a girlish, playful charm to it making her look adorable!

It also features lovely prints of the Natsutsubaki (Summer Camellia) flower all over it, which really brings out the festival feeling! Not to mention that she has the same flower in her hair as well!

This is how the packaging looks!

This one is a lot simpler than yesterday’s Madoka… but of course that also means she doesn’t cost as much!! Σ(=゜ω゜=)

She’s the kind of Nendoroid that really looks amazing just as is, so you really don’t need to swap out too many parts! But if you want to you can always borrow parts from other Nendoroids for even more fun!

This is how she looks from the back!

Ahh! Miku-san’s hair accessories matches with the color of the yukata so nicely!!

I’m guessing that the yellow sash is made in the image of the yellow center of the Natsutsubaki flower… she really puts so much thought into her wardrobe! ^^

“Have you been waiting?” “Nope, just got here!”

…is the scene I was trying to capture with this pose!
But no matter what you do, you should never make Miku-san wait!! ( `Д´)/

The winking expression has a little bit of a mature charm to it… just looking at it gets my heart start racing!!

“I… I want one of those!!”

It seems Miku-san has found something she likes!! I know I’d be happy to buy her absolutely anything she wanted!! The chibi ‘drooling’ face so cute it so cute that it makes me want to drool as well! 😛

“Here, want a taste?”

It seems the things she wanted were this balloon yo-yo and candy apple!! She looks really satisfied now that she has them!

The pattern on the yo-yo is amazing and the candy apple has a lovely shine to it that makes it look just like the real thing! Σ(゜∀゜*)

These can both be held by Miku, and are both items that are almost always found at Japanese Summer Festivals – so they suit the theme perfectly!

Madoka and Miku have swapped kimonos!

It’s amazing how much they change just by swapping out the bodies!! Being able to make changes like this so easily is one of favorite things about Nendoroids!

Looking at these two Nendoroids has reminded me just how lovely girls look in kimonos… If you decide to pick them up, then be sure to take them out with you to the Summer festivals! (=゜ω゜)ノ

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Yukata Ver. Natsutsubaki!

She’ll be up for preorder at the GOOD SMILE ONLINE SHOP from the Monday the 8th July until Monday the 5th August 2013! Note that orders from the online shop are only scheduled to ship out in October 2013.

There’s a lot of time to order so there is no need to rush… but be careful not to miss out!! (`・ω・´)

Nendoroid Madoka Kaname: Maiko Ver.

They’re here!!! ━(゚∀゚≡(゚∀゚≡゚∀゚)≡゚∀゚)━━!!!!!

Just like yesterday’s Nendoroid Nana-sama, I’ve really been looking forward to getting my hands on these two Nendoroid samples!!

I was never able to take a look at their prototypes, so I’ll be going straight into a sample review this time around!

I’m not sure which one I should review first… but I suppose the best way to do it is to go in order of their Nendoroid numbers – which means today will be…

From Puella Magi Madoka Magica:
Nendoroid Madoka Kaname: Maiko Ver.

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a Nendoroid of Madoka Kaname dressed as an elegant maiko. She comes with three different expression parts including a standard expression, a smiling expression and a gentle expression with closed eyes.

Optional parts include a Grief Box as well as two Japanese umbrella parts. She also comes with alternate sitting parts, which you can use together with the gentle expression to create a cute bowing pose. It’s a different appearance for Madoka, but one that fans are sure to enjoy!

This one photo is enough to show off just how cute she is!!

I don’t even think I need to continue with this review! This photo is more than enough to convince everyone to get this one!! Just look how adorable she is!!!

However! Making adorable girls look even cuter is my job, so let me get started!!

This is how the packaging looks!

There are so many different parts!! It’s completely filled with goodies!! (((゜Д゜)))

So much different stamp printing must have been needed to create the patterns on each of those kimono parts!! Plus she also has a couple of large optional parts including a Japanese-style umbrella and sitting parts!!

This is how she looks from the back!

None of the official photos actually show this side of Madoka… which is a shame because even her sash has such a beautiful pattern on it!! It makes me wonder how many different colors the kimono alone is making use of!!

The right sleeve here is using four different colors alone which means at least four different stamp prints are needed… but if thats just one sleeve then how many are needed on the entire figure?!

But the kimono is definitely not the only highlight… take a look at the paintwork of the scrunchies used to tie up her hair! I’m always so proud of GSC for putting so much effort into the smallest details like this!

An elegant pose with the umbrella!

Using the included bent arms you can pose her holding the open umbrella! Combined with the smiling expression it creates a really beautiful, gentle pose that suits the kimono-look perfectly!

As far as articulation goes, her hips are fitted with a rotating joint allowing for her to twist her hips for various poses, and her feet can also be moved around a little like the above photo, which makes it look like she is walking!

As she is wearing a kimono you so the poses aren’t amazingly dynamic, but it’s easy and stress-free to get her into some lovely poses like the one above!

A closed umbrella is also included!

I always love having choices like this! It’s particularly nice for those people who don’t have a lot of space, but still want to display her with the umbrella!

Plus if you swap out the hand parts, you can also have other characters hold it – there are so many different options!!

A gentle bow using the sitting parts!

Sitting parts have become a staple of Nendoroids wearing a kimono! By swapping out her shoulder parts you can also pose her in this gentle pose – bowing down to greet you!

Isn’t she cute?! Not to mention extravagant!! (*゜∀゜)=3

Smiling while holding the ‘Grief Box’!

A special box filled to the brim with goodies, produced by Gekidan Inu Curry! Any fans who were lucky enough to get their hands on this must-have item are probably still amazed at all the goods inside!!

Unfortunately you can’t actually open up the Nendoroid-sized version, but you can still have Madoka hold it!! ^^

Madoka trying out a white kimono!

The red umbrella actually matches very nicely with the white kimono! (´∀`)

This kimono body of course comes from Nendoroid Snow Miku: Strawberry White Kimono Ver., who is currently being manufactured for all those that ordered her back in February! She should be ready to be shipped out to everyone soon, so please be patient just a little while longer!

From Puella Magi Madoka Magica:

Nendoroid Nana Mizuki

Live performances must always have glowsticks! (ノ゚∀゚)ノ

Blue glowsticks are always used at a certain someone’s performances!

…and I’ve managed to get hold of a sample of that certain someone’s Nendoroid today! I’ve been waiting so long for her!!

Today I’ll be taking a look a closer look at this Nendoroid in commemoration of her Japan tour starting at the Ehime Prefecture Budoukan this Sunday!! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ

Nendoroid Nana Mizuki!

The singer and voice actress, Nana Mizuki is joining the Nendoroid series!

She is posed in the waitress outfit seen in her ‘Lovely Fruit’ music video, and also comes with a hamburger on a tray to complete the pose! A Nendoroid-sized version of her mascot character ‘Nanet-san’, a live T-shirt and microphone are also all included to help you recreate her live stage performance!

It’s Nana Mizuki wearing her ‘Lovely Fruit’ outfit!

I’m sure everyone reading this blog has seen her ‘Lovely Fruit’ music video… right?! If you haven’t then you should go and find it as soon as possible!!

Not only is the song super cute and bouncy, you also get to watch Nana-sama working hard as a waitress in a super cute outfit! It’s too cute to not watch!!

Here we have the packaging!!

So many different parts to play with!! (((゚Д゚)))

Not only does she come with the mascot character ‘Nanet-san’, but also a number of arm, leg and accessory parts for all sorts of posing options! Not to mention she has three super cute expressions!

This is how she looks from the back!

The sculpting of the frills on her skirt, wrist cuffs and socks are all so intricate! Not to mention the detail that went into the huge ribbon on her head!!

The sculptor behind this lovely Nendoroid was Tsumezuka-san, who is a huge fan of the real Nana-sama – he was very happy to have the chance to create the Nendoroid!!

Nana-sama carrying a hamburger!

In the music video Nana-sama was wearing this outfit not only while singing but also while trying her best to be a waitress – she comes with these extras to recreate the waitress scenes as well! The tray connects onto her hand with a tab, meaning that it holds in place very securely!

Although that hamburger looks like it might slip off the tray soon…. Σ(゜Д゜;)

Aaaah!!! Σ(゚ロ゚ノ)ノ

You can pose Nana-sama at the exact moment of her tripping over after being pushed! The hamburger on the tray is connected on a rotateable axis, so you can spin it around and make it seem like it is falling off as well!! Such a simple trick that works so well!!

As a side note, the embarrassed expression that Nana-sama gives in the music video after this scene is simply priceless. It’s almost too cute to be something from this world!! (I once again strongly recommend that anyone who hasn’t seen the music video goes and watches it now! :P)

Time for some “Lovely Fruit!”

I want to try some myself! I’m sure this pose means Nana-sama is offering some to me!! But don’t actually put those in your mouth – this is a figure, not food!! 😛

In the music video, everyone who eats this ‘Lovely Fruit’ becomes super happy! These parts really bring out both the music video and Nana-sama so nicely!

A live T-shirt, glowstick and microphone!

The live shirt is sculpted with a dynamic dancing scene in mind, but I personally think it looks best for a jumping scene like this one! You can peek in and get a little view of her cute tummy!! Excellent work Tsumezuka-san!! ヽ(゜∀゜)ノ

The glowstick that lights up her performances with a beautiful blue, as well as the microphone that allows everyone to hear her beautiful voice are both included – this is the songstress herself singing on stage!!

Info on how to purchase her is below!!

Nendoroid Nana Mizuki!

She’ll be on sale at all 11 performances of her LIVE CIRCUS 2013 live tour!!

Plus…
There will also be other ways to order her!

Phew! I don’t know how I would have dealt with all the messages if she wasn’t put up for order elsewhere! Plus this means I can order one for myself as well now!

The exact dates and details of orders are still undecided, but should be announced on the Nana-sama official website at a later stage!

Keep your eyes on it for updates!

Anyway, that’s all for today!
I hope to see you all again tomorrow!! (・∀・)ノ゛

1/10th Scale Ultimate Madoka

I’ve been wondering about this for awhile now… (=゚ω゚=)

Where did this Ulti-Madoka come from?!

She’s listed on both the Hobby Japan website and the Good Smile Website… and according to both she’s going to be included as an extra to a magazine!! I know that magazines often come with Nendoroid Petites or even Nendoroids… but I ever expected one would include a scale figure!! What a wonderful era we live in!!

What’s more… the painted prototype has just been completed, so I get to take a look at it before anyone else!!

Included with the Figure JAPAN magazine:
1/10th Scale Ultimate Madoka!

Figure Japan is a figure collector’s magazine with each issue focusing on a specific anime series and including a figure from that series. Each issue will have a complete figure catalog and a listing of new and upcoming products from the series it is based on, focusing on the figure included with that issue. It’s filled with lovely photos and all sorts of figure-related information, creating the perfect fan book for figure fans!

The first issue will be focusing on the popular series with a new movie coming this Fall, ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’! The included figure this time around is a GSC 1/10th scale Ultimate Madoka!

To explain it simply in points…
(゚∀゚) Figure JAPAN is a special figure magazine that focuses on a single series each issue and includes a figure from it too!
(゚∀゚) The December issue will be focusing on Puella Magi Madoka Magica!
(゚∀゚) The included figure is a 1/10 Scale Ultimate Madoka!

I’m sure it’ll be a great purchase for fans of figures and fans of Madoka!!
Let’s take a closer look at the figure!! (゚∀゚)

For those wondering how big she is…

Here she is compared with the 1/8th scale Ultimate Madoka! She’s definitely noticeably smaller!! (((゚Д゚)))

But Ultimate Madoka was really big in the first place, so even when made as a 1/10th scale figure, she is still quite impressive in size!

This is how she looks from the back!

She might be smaller than before, but she is still just as impressive as ever! The pearl paintwork on her dress and clear wings are just as beautiful as they were on the 1/8th scale version!

The sculpting of the hair and wings have actually been completely redone as well, in order to better fit the 1/10th scale size! Σ(゚Д゚;)

The smile of a goddess!! (*゚∀゚)=3

The 1/8th scale version was posed with her bow and arrow and a more serious expression, while this version has a much more gentle smile on her face! She’s simply beautiful! ゜・(ノД`)・゜・。

Just look at this angelic appearance!!

She may be smaller, but she still has the same incredible aura that the original figure had! (`・ω・´)

This would be a lovely figure to display close to your side and have watching over you as you get through each day! She’s 1/10th scale so finding space shouldn’t be too hard, and the gentle pose is sure to relax you on even the most hectic of days!

The space paintwork also looks great!

I still think this is one of my best features of Ultimate Madoka! I wasn’t so sure it’d look as amazing on the 1/10th scale version, but as you can see it looks just as stunning as ever! Σ(゚∀゚ )

Her dainty, pointed feet are also very cute!

Displayed with the Nendoroid version!

This photo might give you an even better idea of the size than the first one did. The 1/8th scale version was incredible and all, but I have to say I’ve really fallen in love with this 1/10th scale version now! It’s the perfect size to display next to me on my desk!! (`・ω・´)

I’m so often displaying figures up on the shelves around my desk, but I don’t often get scale figures that fit on the desk so nicely! It makes me think that more figures should come out at 1/10th scale!

All three displayed together!

I actually wanted to have the figma and Nendo Puchi together with them for this shot, but I couldn’t get hold of them in time!! I’m sure having all five together must look fantastic!! (*゚∀゚)=3

If you were someone who didn’t pick up Ulti-Madoka because you didn’t have the space to display her… then this is your chance to get a smaller version!! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノ
