Nendoroid Racing Miku: 2015 Ver.

I ate way too much popcorn and am now regretting it. It would seem that too much caramel popcorn, while delicious, is not good for one’s stomach…

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Racing Miku: 2015 Ver.!

The official character of the Hatsune Miku GT Project ‘Racing Miku’ is back again in Nendoroid form, this time in her 2015 ver. outfit! The Nendoroid is based on the illustration by Taiki, a design which gives Racing Miku a knightly appearance, ready to charge into first place! Optional parts include a race queen’s parasol, as well as a Nendoroid-sized car that Miku can actually ride inside!

Ooooooohhhh! (●´ω｀●)

The Racing Knight Princess is joining the Nendoroid series! The GSR Team managed to take the place of champions in last year’s SUPER GT, and this Miku shows they are confident they can take it again! Her outfit has a knightly appearance to it, but also has some cute frills to show off her feminine side too! ♪

△ Her back shows off lots of skin too!

Her twin-tails are painted with a blue to yellow gradient, and as they move into the yellow area the plastic also becomes more and more translucent for a lovely effect! As you’d expect, the twin-tails also include Nendoroid joints allowing you to match them with your poses with ease! (σ・∀・)σ

You can also recreate this pose! ♡

Nendoroid Racing Miku comes with her so-called ‘Offensive Parasol‘ and ‘Defensive Keyboard‘!

Her knightly race queen items!! (`・ω・´)

This is of course the pose from one of the main visuals, and I can just image her shouting “We’re aiming for the top once more!” whenever I see this pose!

Another thing I want to point out, is that this year’s Racing Miku comes with fully articulated arms! ★

This allows you to pose her holding all sorts of things at various angles, and also helps with creating awesome poses! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

For example…

She can even be posed with a large flag like this! ♥︎

The flag design is adorned with a coat of arms to further the knight-like appearance with crowns, a horse and of course the Good Smile Mark! She comes with two expressions – one looking confidently straight ahead and a second smile with a more sideward gaze! (●´ω｀●)

Plus as I’m sure you noticed in the first photo…

A Nendoroid Car is also included! ♪

△ A design that includes Miku color!

She also comes with a shift body that lets you pose her driving the car! ♪

△ The driving body is only the upper body.

Of course you can then make use of the articulation in the twin-tails to really give the electronic racing diva some speed!

△ The articulated arms also mean she can easily hold the steering wheel!

The first race in this year’s SUPER GT has ended with the team placing 5th! Not a bad start, but the next face at Fuji Speedway on the 2nd-3rd May will be the next step! There are still 7 races to go to get into the lead!! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

I’m never quite sure when to switch from Winter clothes into Spring clothes…

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at the 3DS game going on sale from the 28th May 2015.

What is Hatsune Miku Project mirai Deluxe?

A 3D Rhythm Action game featuring Hatsune Miku!

The main part of the game is a rhythm game what can be played in wither Touch Mode or Button Mode! ♪

You can also select different difficulties for the songs, so it’s great fun for both light users and serious gamers! (・∀・)

This version of the game features the 47 songs from the Hatsune Miku Project mirai series as well as a brand new opening song called ‘Hajimete Chikyuujin-san’ for a total of 48 different songs to play! Not only can you play all the original songs made by various different creators, but some are specially arranged versions for the Hatsune Miku Project mirai series!

Another big change is the one I mentioned previously, which is that the ‘original video’ songs from the previous games have all been changed to make use of Nendoroid Miku’s model! ♪

Hatsune Miku V3

Today is the 9th of March – Miku Day!★

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Today I’m going to be taking a look at the Hatsune Miku figure from FREEing that went up for preorder today!

The 1/4th Scale…

Hatsune Miku V3!☆

The Hatsune Miku V3 key visual illustration by iXima has been sculpted into a massive 1/4th scale figure, which stands an impressive 42cm in height.

The twintails winding around her body have been sculpted with the utmost detail, with incredible care also given to the intricacies of her outfit – bringing out a level of realism and detail that can only be achieved through such a large scale figure. This is the work of art that Miku fans have been waiting for – a Miku figure that, both literally and figuratively, stands above the rest!

Ooooooohhhh!!(´□｀｡)

The beautiful charm of iXima’s illustration has been captured in figure form beautifully! It’s hard to put into words, but just looking at her seems to clear the air around her!! What a wonderful rendition of Miku-san!!

Let’s see how she looks from the back! (･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ

△ I wanted to show off this angle, even though it’s cutting it a little close!

The twin-tails at her sides are gently curling around, and are sculpted in a way that makes them look so bouncy and light, as if floating by her side. Although she is in a relatively simple standing pose, the pose has been captured beautifully – the classic Miku pose! ♪

The creases in her outfit, and difference in texture all over the figure is fantastically done!

There was clearly so much love and care put into making this figure, and it shows! Let’s take a closer look at each of the points that makes this Miku-san so exceptional! (σ・∀・)σ

– Expression –

Her beautiful expression has such a clean and clear feeling about it! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The gentle yet confident feel that iXima’s illustration had has transferred into figure form so very well! ♡

When the figure is a large scale, the expression becomes all the more difficult to capture correctly – particularly for certain angles. However… I can honestly say that this Miku-san looked lovely matter which angle I decided to look from! ☆

– Size –

To be honest, I don’t think many people have a good feel for just how big 1/4th scale is! (´□｀｡)

I am one of those people, so to make things easier for people like me, I decided to create a few comparison images!

Size Comparison with Nendoroid and figma!

As you can see… she is huge!! (゜д゜；)

The Nendoroid and figma figures are like little fairies in comparison to the huge scale figure! (Plus, this angle once again shows off those lovely twin-tails!)

As far as height is concerned, here is another comparison!

Comparison with Nendoroid Boxes!

To state her height in terms of Nendoroid boxes…

She is five Nendoroid Boxes tall!!

Looking at the Nendoroid boxes in this photo makes it seem like they’re in fact miniature boxes…! They’re real size, I promise!!

– Outfit –

In particular, look at her arm cover!

It’s translucent!!

The original illustration definitely has a slightly see-through look to the design, and while on smaller figures this amount of detail on a transparent item is difficult… a 1/4th scale figure allows that kind of detail to be preserved so very nicely!! ♪

Also, while her outfit may look rather simple at first glance, the patterns on her skirt and all the little attachments to the outfit that make it not-quite symmetrical have all been done with painstaking attention to detail – creating an incredibly accurate outfit that simply looks amazing to look at!

The creases around her hips as well as the movement of the frills have also all been altered one-by-one to create a truly faithful rendition that actually has an interesting , almost realistic feeling to it! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

– Body –

A 1/4th scale size really does allow for amazing detail… and not just on the outfit, but also on Miku’s beautiful body! ε=(｡・д・｡)

You can clearly make out the curves of her body beneath the outfit, the supple curves just bounce right into your mind! ♪

The slight little indent of her armpits are done so very beautifully!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Miku-san is well known for her rather slender build, and her soft pale skin looks so very touchable! She really is such a treat for the eyes!

The sculptor behind this Miku-san is none other than Hiroshi (Sakurazensen)!
The same sculptor who worked on popular GSC items such as Ultimate Madoka and Kaname Madoka ~The Beginning Story / The Everlasting~!

The work of Hiroshi always brings out the charms of characters in such a beautiful way! It’s like magic!!

This time around is no exception – the size of this Miku has allowed everything that makes her special to be brought out in magnificent 1/4 scale size! ♡

Steiff x Hatsune Miku

＼A Hatsune Miku themed teddy bear!／

When I was younger, I always slept together with plushies! Just having them by my side always made me feel so much safer!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Steiff x Hatsune Miku!

The electronic diva Hatsune Miku is joining up with the German-based teddy bear brand known for their high quality, ‘Steiff’ for a rather unique Miku teddy bear collaboration!

The teddy bear features lots of special touches in the image of Miku, such as a frilly collar and necktie, a ’01’ mark sewn onto the shoulder and even a silhouette of Miku embroidered onto the sole of the foot! The overall color of the teddy has also been matched up with Miku, while the soft and fluffy feeling of the mohair is a delight to touch! Each and every bear is made by hand to create a Hatsune Miku teddy of the utmost quality for fans to keep by their side!

Ooooooooooooohhhh!! (*´Д｀)

Our Miku-san has teamed up with the world famous teddy maker, Steiff!!! ♪

I can’t thank them enough for working together with us!!

Just look at this soft and fluffy hair!!

△ It feels so nice to touch!! I wish I could hold onto this mohair all day long!

As the teddy is a collaboration item with Miku, you’ll notice things that link to her! The color is of course the first thing, but also note the necktie and collar that have obviously been made with so much love!! If you take a closer look at the tie, you’ll also notice that it is even has the back fold!! ☆

△ The collar goes all the way around the neck!

Also take note of his furry feet! <○><○>

The right foot has ‘Miku’ sewn onto the design! ♪

The pink coloring comes from the pink found on her hair accessories!

Plus the arm faithfully keeps the ‘01′ mark! (●´ω｀●)

As if a Steiff teddy bear wasn’t already one of the most lovable things in the world… now it comes filled with Miku-themed goodness!!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

But… what exactly is Steiff …?

△ The Chest Tag clearly has both the Miku and Steiff logos!

Each of the bears also features the Steiff Ear Tag and Steiff “Button in Ear” – a worldwide trademark of unmistakable quality! (●´ω｀●)

△ Proof that the teddy was handmade with love and care! ♥︎

The tags on normal Steiff bears are yellow with red text, but limited edition ‘Collector’ products such as the Miku bear instead have a white tag with red text!

The white tag shows the item number, year of manufacture and serial number!

Another thing that I’m sure vigilant readers have already noticed, is that her left foot contains an embroidered silhouette of Miku!!

Today is Setsubun where you are supposed to eat Ehomaki sushi… but I’m just eating swiss roll instead as it’s the same shape! I also still need to do some Mamemaki!

Only 6 days left until WonFes!

Following on from yesterday I’m going to be looking at another one of the WonFes exclusive products! Here is the line-up once more!

Today I’ll be taking a look at…

figma Snow Miku: Snow Bell ver.

Pure and innocent, the new snow songstress is joining the figma series!

Snow Miku has reached its 6th anniversary this year, and once again the design from piapro voted as the best on the NicoNico Live Broadcast has been transformed into a figma! The theme this year was ‘Plant Life in Winter’, and the winning design was this fairy-like design by Taran! Rabbit Yukine is also included based on the adorable design by Hayuki!
· Three expression parts are included: a standard face a winking face and a bright smiling face.
· Optional parts made to suit the theme are also included, such as a leaf umbrella and lily of the valley shaped bells.
· An alternate body for Rabbit Yukine is also included for more posing options.
· An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

Even the package is overflowing with cuteness!!

The new Miku based on the theme of plant-life and Winter in Hokkaido has become a figma and landed on my desk for review!!

Her expression is so cute that it’s unfair!

The gentle, soft feeling of Taran’s illustration comes across so nicely! ♪

I’m so glad to see that Max Factory decided to make another Snow Miku into a figma! The one released in 2014 was so cute! A big thank you to Max Factory!!

Let’s take a look at what optional parts are included!

Just like Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Bell Ver. , she comes with a leaf umbrella! She comes with special hands to hold the umbrella up, making it easy to attach even for someone as clumsy as me! (*ﾟｰﾟ*)

She also has this winking expression which gives her a slightly more mature appearance!!

But the expression I like the most this time around just has to be this one…

Her smiling face!!

Oooooooooooooooooh!! (●´ω｀●)

Just looking at this innocent, adorable expression makes a smile crawl across my face as well! She just looks so happy!!

In her hands she is holding a Lily of the Valley bell, which has been painted with a lovely golden gradient! The little optional parts as well as her outfit are all painted absolutely amazingly!! (/ω＼)

As you can see…. Yukine is also included!! <○><○>

Rabbit Yukine comes with his very own flower lamp to hold! He is posed in a bit of a jumping pose too! ♥︎

He looks so soft and fluffy! This is actually the very first Rabbit Yukine to be included with a figma, and thus he comes with some extra little parts too…

／ Ta-da!! ＼

He comes with an alternate body to display him standing! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ！

This makes him look much more gentlemanly – the perfect escort for Snow Miku!! ★

The ribbon designed to look like a lily of the valley leaf and the fluffy round tail are also faithfully recreated on the figma version! ♪

Snow Miku seems very pleased with how Rabbit Yukine has come out! ♪

Plus, just like the Nendoroid from yesterday, figma Snow Miku can also have her cape removed for a slightly different appearance! (σ・∀・)σ

The edges of her outfit around her chest have been coloured beautifully with a golden strip!

Speaking of parts that can be removed, the leaf of the umbrella can also be separated!

I can’t wait to take her out for some photos out in a forest or some other places outdoors! Bring her home with you an enjoy the last few weeks of Winter with a Winter fairy by your side! ♡

B-But that means that the final weekend before WonFes has already come to an end!! I need to change my way of thinking… it’s not that there are only 7 days left… there are over 100 hours left! Lots of time to prepare!!

With the weekend closing in on us, it’s time for me to take a closer look at the Winter Wonder Festival 2015 products that will be sold at the WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!! 21 Booth!

Today I’m going to be taking a closer look at…

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Bell Ver.!

A Winter fairy summoned by the ring of a bell.

Snow Miku has reached its 6th anniversary this year, and once again this year’s design from piapro was decided by fans on the NicoNico Live Broadcast, and has been transformed into a Nendoroid! The theme this year was ‘Plant Life in Winter’, and the winning design was this fairy-like design by Taran! Rabbit Yukine is also included based on the adorable design by Hayuki!

The lily of the valley held by Rabbit Yukine can also be switched out and held by Miku instead! Various other plant-themed optional parts are also included, such as a large leaf for her to use as an umbrella, as well as some lily of the valley bells in the shape of a treble clef. A special lily of the valley base is also included, which actually includes ringing bells! She also comes with sitting parts, allowing for even more posing options for fans to enjoy!

Yahooooooooooooi!!! (´□｀｡)

This year’s Snow Miku has come out looking absolutely adorable!!

The outfit design has been preserved perfectly in Nendoroid size, and she even comes with all sorts of items with the theme of plant life – from Lily of the Valley flowers to Japanese rowan leaves! The delicate and light design of this year’s Miku is suited to the Nendoroid design very nicely!! ♡

The snowflakes in her hair accessories and hair have also been beautifully preserved as always, and the headset made in the image of foliage is also looking lovely! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Herhair makes use of translucent parts to create a semi-transparent effect!

Along with her standard smiling face, she also comes with this dazzling smile that could brighten up even the darkest of days! ♡

…!! (There are simply no words!!)

Taran-san designed this expression as well, and it is absolutely perfect for the little fairy Miku! It’s almost too cute to even be allowed!! ♥︎

That innocent smile could purify the most corrupt of things!!

In the photo above she is holding the Lily of the Valley bell made in the shape of a treble clef, but you can also swap it out for the Lily of the Bell lamp which is normally held by Rabbit Yukine!

Plus there is this expression showing off her top teeth!!

Another thing to note is that her twin tails and the flowers hair accessories are fitted with joints allowing you to match the movements to your pose! ♪

Rabbit Yukine is also included! ★

Yukine was first included with Snow Miku last year, but his popularity means he is back once again for 2015!

He has a winking expression which gives him a bit of a playful look! His cute outfit also makes him look very gentlemanly! (ﾟ∀ﾟ*)

The ribbon is made in the image of a Lily of the Valley leaf!

Plus his round bushy tail is very cute!!
(The hole in his head is for his very own little stand which is also included!)

Before I go on with the optional parts…

Let’s first take a look at the packaging!

This time we have a rectangular box with gentle colors and a round window!!

The top is what makes it special!! ★

The box has a rather unique design, and opens up by twisting the two Lily of the Valley that are placed on the top!

It’s really very cute when you see it in person!!

The way it opens reminds me of opening candy which gets me even more excited! (●´ω｀●)ゞ

Anyway, let’s get back onto the review shall we! <○><○>

This is how the blister pack looks! Ignoring the biggest parts for now, you can see she comes with sitting parts, various expressions and a couple of hand parts… but the one thing that will grab anyone’s attention…

The Lily of the Valley Base!

A rather large base that Snow Miku can sit on rather comfortably! (/ω＼)

The very base of the leaf even has some melting snow to keep with the Winter theme! Even though it’s such a large base the attention to detail is still fantastic! ★

Plus the flowers have real bells inside them!! ♪

They make a lovely gentle ringing sound to match Miku perfectly!

The other rather large item included with her…

A leaf umbrella!! ★

With the giant left held above her head, Miku looks even more like a little fairy of the forest!

The very tip of the leaf has a drop of water… which is attached with a round joint, which means that you can change the angle that it’s falling at! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Plus as it is designed to be attached and removed, you don’t need to worry about it breaking! ♪

On that note, the little droplets at the end of her skirt are made from a soft material, so they are also very difficult to break accidentally!

Huh??

Something seems different?!

That’s right! You even have the option of removing her cape for a slightly different appearance!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Without the cape you can see her lovely outfit all the way up to her neck!

As a side note… she comes with two cape parts – one standard one and one included to pose her with the leaf umbrella! (*´Д｀)=з

Simply pick the one that matches your posing better!

But there is still one more thing I need to show everyone!

The 2015 Snow Miku…

Comes with ball jointed arms!! (/ω＼)

That means that you can take more poses than ever before, and when the cape is removed you can really create all sorts of dynamic poses!★

The legs designed for the sitting pose can also be placed on the standard body to create some rather interesting poses! ♥︎

Nendoroid Plus: Capsule Factory ~Snow Miku and Friends from the North~ SEASON 1

I’m having a bit of trouble with cavities at the moment… they don’t hurt that much, but when I go to get them treated the drilling to fix them always hurts!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a set of figures that can even calm the pain of the dentist…

These adorable figures from Max Factory…!

Nendoroid Plus: Capsule Factory
~Snow Miku and Friends from the North~ SEASON 1!

Snow Miku is back with a bunch of cute friends made in the image of animals found in the Winter of Hokkaido! Each of the figures are based on cute designs by illustrator Kiriku, creating a lovely line-up filled with adorable variety!

The Capsule Factory neck joints are also compatible with Nendoroid Petite figures, allowing you to use the Capsule Factory heads on Nendoroid Petites for some extra posing options as well!

They’re so cute!!!! (●´ω｀●)

Each of these figures stands just 40mm in height! They are so tiny, yet so very lovely! <○><○>

Let’s take a look at who is in the set!

Her hair accessory is made in the image of a black-veined white butterfly! ♡

Right: Hatsune Miku x Hokkaido Brown Bear

Her hair accessory is made in the image of a Sargent cherry blossom!

Each of the Mikus have long twin-tails, while Rabbit Yukine has long ears!

This is how they look from the back! ☆

Even the respective tails of each animal has been faithfully sculpted onto the little designs! I love the way the fox tail is curling to the side!! (*´Д｀)=з

Personally… the brown bear Miku is the cutest!!

*Growl!!*

The neck and twintails are articulated, allowing you to change the nuance of the pose to a certain degree! ♡

But another very important thing to note is a feature of the head parts! They are in fact compatible with Nendoroid Petite bodies as well!!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

For example… you can do things like this!

This photo makes use of the two Snow Miku Capsule Factory heads, but the bodies come from the Nendoroid Hatsune Miku Selection – to be precise, the ‘Deep Sea Girl’ and ‘Mikrystal’ bodies! ♪

The Marimo head matches up with the standard Miku body quite nicely too!

Quite a different look! Such a sweet appearance! ♡

You can also combine it with completely different characters like this!

The possibilities are endless!!! ╭( ・ㅂ・)و ̑̑ !

By the way, these are capsule figures!!

The capsules are also rather small!

This is the size compared with Petite Mikudayo-san! Let’s open one up…

The white capsule actually opens up very easily!

Inside there is a plastic bag with the figure inside, as well as a sheet showing the line-up!

The head and body come detached inside the capsule, so you can enjoy putting the pieces together! ♪

Hatsune Miku: Risa Ebata Ver.

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Everyone in the GSC offices is catching a cold! I am wearing a mask almost all the time to try prevent it from spreading to me…! With all the preparations for WonFes, this is the worst time to get sick!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at a product that has been up for preorder since last year… Max Factory’s…

Hatsune Miku: Risa Ebata Ver.!

The world of Hatsune Miku, as illustrated by Risa Ebata.

A 1/7th scale figure of Hatsune Miku based on an illustration by the popular illustrator Risa Ebata! The unique translucent and delicate appearance of Risa Ebata’s illustration has been carefully preserved in figure form.

She is seated on a magnificent floating diamond that shines beneath her with a love innocent smile on her face, as her long winding twintails are swaying in the wind behind her. A truly intricate piece of sculpting that fans are sure to fall in love with. Enjoy a different side and all new charm of Hatsune Miku through this collaboration!

Oooooooooooooohhh!! (/ω＼)

For those of you who aren’t aware, Risa Ebata is the character designer and animation director for Macross F! She drew this adorable Miku, which has now been transformed into a lovely figure by Shining Wizard @ Sawatika!

She is posed leaning forward as she sits on a lovely pink diamond that makes up the stand for the figure! Also note the angelic smile on her face… she simply HAS to be angel!!

Speaking of Macross F and Max Factory, they have previously released this amazing figure of Sheryl Nome! (´∀｀)

Both Miku and Sheryl are connected by their amazing singing voices! ♡

But let’s get back to Miku before we get too sidetracked!

The long winding twin tails have been sculpted in such lovely detail as they flow out behind her, matching with the long flowing look of her bustle skirt!

Even though she is in a sitting pose the angle means that even a view from the side is filled with highlights! ♪

The diamond is not the only part to make use of translucent parts either – the end parts of her hair as well as the inner fabric of her sleeves are also a little see-through!

(・∀・) “We decided if we were going to make her, we had to do as best as possible!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Akane Eiseihei!

(・∀・) “The original illustration was used on the front cover of the 1st album of VocaloP: SmileR, but when we decided to transform her into a figure, Risa Ebata went and drew us a nice fresh illustration to work with! The feeling of translucence in the illustration really appealed to me, so I worked with the team to bring it out in the figure with these translucent parts!”

The overall feeling of this Miku seems more mature than most others! ♡

(・∀・) “Yep! That also comes out in the outfit. Normally Miku has a somewhat metallic outfit, but this Miku makes use of a matte finish for a more relaxed appearance. Combined with the very unique design of the oufit, it gives this Miku a very unique charm when compared to others!”

Looking from this angle you get a little glimpse of her back! The frilly black area at her shoulders also looks lovely – I think they make her look even sexier than if there were no sleeves at all!

A similar effect can also be seen on her hands!! <○><○>

The translucent gloves (there is probably a better word for these than gloves!) kind of cover the skin but you can still see it, creating an almost teasing charm to the design! I really love the way it looks!╭( ・ㅂ・)و !

(・∀・) “I know how you feel because I feel exactly the same way! Another area where the semi-transparent look really shines are her stockings covered in musical notes!”

There couldn’t be a more suiting design for Miku’s stockings! (●´ω｀●)

Her calves and thighs look so lovely and soft… plus the garterbelt features the same design normally seen on Miku’s wallet chain!

(・∀・) “Yep! There are actually quite a few interesting connections between this design and Miku’s official design! Another thing I’d like to point out are her adorable looking shoes! ♡”

I think most girls would agree they have a lovely design! (*´Д｀)=з

(・∀・) “Miku-san herself is amazing, but this figure really comes together when you look at her together with the details of the accessories and outfit!”

There are quite a few little intricate details that you might miss if you don’t look close… like the pins on her neck tie here, or the heart shapes around the edge of her sleeves! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

(・∀・) “As mentioned before the stockings and matte look give her a more adult charm than most Miku figures… but there are also still lots of musical notes, ribbons and other cute motifs that show the cuter side of Miku for fans to enjoy too!”

Her expression has a rather innocent and playful feeling to it as well! ♪

I love the fact you can just see her top teeth sticking out! ε=(｡・д・｡)

(・∀・) “Yep, the diamond itself isn’t held down to the base, but don’t worry – we’ve done lots of tests and there are more than enough dress frills to support her! I wanted to keep as much detail to the figure without adding unnecessary supports! I got a lot of great advice from Shining Wizard @ Sawatika… the sculptor who also worked on Hatsune Miku TYPE2020!”

Shining Wizard@Sawatika is really amazing with hair and dress sculpting!! ♪

Even though the hair looks so light and fluffy, the edges are still so beautifully sharp!! What amazing work!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Nendoroid Sakura Miku: Bloomed in Japan!

Sakura Miku: Made in Japan!

As everyone who was watching the live broadcast already knows, today I’ll be taking a look at the very first product to be shipped out from GSC’s new factory in Japan!

Nendoroid Sakura Miku:
Bloomed in Japan!♡

The very first of Good Smile Company’s Nendoroids to be ‘MADE IN JAPAN’ is a freshly designed version of Sakura Miku, with an adorable pink outfit filled with images of Spring and cherry blossoms! She is also the commemorative Nendoroid No.500!

This time around Sakura Miku comes with three expressions including her standard face, a cute absent-minded expression and an expression with an open mouth that can be used as either a smiling face or for displaying her enjoying some Springtime treats!

Along with her standard twintails, she also comes with an alternate set of braided twintails for a completely fresh appearance! Other optional parts include some hanami dango, amazake and a cup on a tray – various items for her to enjoy viewing the cherry blossoms together with you!

Ooooooooohhhh!!! ヽ(´ω｀*)ノ

Not only is she the first GSC figure to be ‘Made in Japan’, she is also Nendoroid No.500!!! ♥︎ A Nendoroid that needs to be commemorated for two different things at once!

She is similar to the previously released Nendoroid Sakura Miku, but the outfit has been redesigned and the joints have been changed into the Nendoroid 2.0 format, for an all new Miku with the same lovely colors! Just looking at her makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! (/ω＼)

This is how she looks from the back! ☆

The twin-tails are slightly translucent for a light, airy effect! ♪

The joints on the ends are also decorated with lovely cherry blossom accessories! Three on the front and one on the back! Her outfit itself is also covered in cherry blossom shapes! φ(．． )

(・∀・) “Let’s take a look at the optional parts!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Hamako!

(・∀・) “This time around, the sub-theme for Sakura Miku was ‘Japan’! The ornaments around her dress were sculpted was actually modelled off a kimono braid! There are also various optional parts to capture the taste of Japan!”

“A tray, dango, amazake and sake cup!”

I really like the choice of including amazake!
I love amazake!! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

(・∀・) “These are of course the traditional things to eat and drink while looking at the cherry blossoms! Although most amazake doesn’t even much – if any – alcohol, I can still just imagine Miku getting a little tipsy which looks so cute in my head! That image meant I had to include the amazake!”

I can see how it could be cute!!

(・∀・) “You don’t even need to imagine it any more, as this expression captures it nicely!”

So cute!!! +ﾟ｡*(*´∀｀*)*｡ﾟ+

(・∀・) “She has a bit of a cat-like smile, with her cheeks glowing a lovely warm pink!”

Depending on how you look at it, this could also be used to show her enjoying the beautiful blossoms as well!

(・∀・) “She also comes with an expression with an open mouth, which can be posed to display her enjoying the dango!”

The triangular shape to her mouth is so adorable!

I really love that super innocent look that this expression gives! ♥︎

By the way! The bent leg that can be used for all sorts of posed has been made usable on both her left and right side this time around! It makes it easier to grab certain nuances with your poses! ♪

(・∀・) “Take a closer look here too! The fold-over skirt is actually overlapping at certain areas – to look a bit like petals!”

Ah, I see what you mean!! The front part is definitely on top here!

(・∀・) “This was actually made like this as I originally wanted a design to look a bit like a kimono! We tried all sorts of different things, but in the end this petal-like dress was the result! I call it the wraparound kimono petal skirt! I’m actually really happy with the way it came out!”

Even though it’s a skirt it definitely have a slight Japanese air to it! The way the ‘petals’ are overlapping also give the outfit a very soft looking appearance! The petals also give her a much more flowery looking appearance compared to the previous pleats! ヾ(●´∀｀●)

(・∀・) “There are certain things that match up with her older version like the cat-mouth look on an expression, but for the most part everything has been freshly made! It is after all a very special milestone in a number of ways… I wanted to make sure it felt fresh and special!! In fact, there is still one more very special part that separates her even more and gives Miku a very original appearance! Braids!!“

*ﾟдﾟ)*ﾟДﾟ) Ooooh!!!

This… this is just… I’m speechless!!

(・∀・) “I always thought that braids would look cute on Miku, but you never see them very often! I tried sketching a few ideas and thought this looked the cutest!”

Also… this is the same open mouth expression from before but with a blossom in front of the mouth! It gives it a rather different feeling! っε=(｡・д・｡)

(・∀・) “She looks quite mature like this, doesn’t she! Even with the same expression, careful changes in poses can often create a very different experience – that’s particularly true with this Nendoroid!”

By the way… this is the first GSC product to be ‘Made in Japan’, was there any specific reason behind that?

(・∀・) “When the talks first came up, the chain of logic was quite simple… ‘Made in Japan’ = ‘Japan’ = ‘Cherry Blossoms’ = ‘Sakura Miku’! It didn’t take long for me to come to that conclusion!”

Not to mention that she also gets the privilege of becoming the 500th Nendoroid! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

(・∀・) “The 300th Nendoroid was also Miku with Nendoroid Hatsune Miku 2.0, but everything just linked too nicely together to not release this figure as the 500th Nendoroid! Miku deserves to be in the spotlight anyway!! We’ll be sure to bring you a wonderful Spring directly from Kurayoshi city in Tottori, Japan! Look forward to her!”

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Senbonzakura Ver.

Can you believe that we are ready in the last month of the year?!

I was in in shock at that revelation for awhile… but today I’m looking at a product that let me stop worrying about such trivial things! ♪

Today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Senbonzakura Ver.♡

A Nendoroid of Hatsune Miku based on the outfit she wore in the song ‘Senbonzakura’ by Kurousa-P! She comes with a gentle smiling face as well as an energetic winking expression for various different different poses.

In addition, the cherry blossom streamer and cherry blossom themed bicycle seen in the original music video are also both included! Using the included special included parts that attach to her feet, you can display her without the need of the support arm in her classic ‘shooting’ pose while looking over her shoulder!

Oooooooooooohhhhhh!!! ヾ(´∀｀*)ﾉ

From the popular Vocaloid song ‘Senbonzakura’ comes a special version of Miku-san wearing a school cap, miniskirt and lovely long sleeves – an outfit that blends east and western styles in a mysteriously beautiful way!! ♡♡♡

I really love the Senbonzakura outfits, so I’m very glad to see a Nendoroid version of this Miku be made as well! I’m also really happy to see that all her accessories and ornaments have been very carefully sculpted on the Nendoroid version! (*´Д｀)=з

This ‘sakura oonusa’ or ‘cherry blossom streamer’ was something very memorable from the music video, so of course it is included as well! You can make out each of the blossoms, and a slight gradient is applied from the top down to the bottom for an even more beautiful appearance! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Plus just look at her adorable shoes!!

They are an interesting blend of high-laced boots and geta sandals, which have been faithfully shrunk into Nendoroid size!! This is the kind of interesting design that really brings out the Senbonzakura universe! ♪

As I’m sure most of you have noticed there is another delicious little treat… you can see her stomach sticking out slightly!!

The school cap with a cherry blossom crest can be removed! ♪

Removing the hat gives her a more feminine appearance!

The overall coloring of the Nendoroid also keeps that slightly retro, darker palette of colors from the music video! It gives her quite a different appearance when compared to most Nendos!

(・∀・) “She comes with another important item from the music video too!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Hamako!!

(・∀・) “Which would be… this!!!“

Oooooooooooooooohhhhh!!! (´□｀｡)

It has jumped right out of the music video into the Nendoroid universe!!

(・∀・) “Yep! The rather antiquated bicycle with a cherry blossom theme!”

Plus Miku can actually be posed riding it!!!

It still requires the Nendoroid stand to be attached on her back while the bicycle supports her weight… but it looks lovely nonetheless!! φ(．． )

(・∀・) “There aren’t specific sitting parts for the pose, but she does come with special arms and hands to display her holding the handle bars! These parts also make the most nice and stable! There is also a little attachment part to hold the bike up by itself, so you can just as easily pose the bike beside her instead!”

But… but Hamako-san! I can’t focus on the bike at all!!!
Not when Miku is winking at me with such a cute expression!!

(・∀・) “Isn’t she adorable! This lovely winking expression is also included!”

The previous smiling face had a very lovely gentle feeling to it which I loved… but this winking face has a whole different kind of charm! ☆

I- I don’t know which expression to choose!! (´□｀｡)

(・∀・) “Well.. maybe knowing you can make this pose from the song will help you make up your mind!!”

Whaaat!! I can make this pose even in Nendoroid form!!! (*´Д｀)

It’s so cute!! She’s just so cute!!!

As you can see her twintails are fitted with Nendoroid joints allowing for even more of a dynamic appearance as she spins around! ♪

(・∀・) “By the way, she comes with special leg parts to display her in this pose!”

A left leg part with a special little attachment part (the pink area in this photo) isincluded. Together they make the purple section which will be included as a single part on the final product! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

(・∀・) “This pose let’s you see the ‘Ichi’ or ‘One’ written on her back very nicely!”

Hmm! This ‘ichi’ is written in hiragana (いち) instead of the usual kanji! (壱)

(・∀・) “That’s right! While the actual version in the PV is written in kanji, the LINE stamps and version in the 3DS game ‘Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2’ all make use of hiragana… we thought it suited the cuter Nendoroid design better!”

It does somehow seem a little cuter to have the chibi-sized versions written in the rounded hiragana instead! ♥︎

(・∀・) “Definitely a Nendoroid fans can enjoy the Senbonzakura atmosphere with!”
