When I was taking exams in school I selected Japanese history as one of my electives… I would have done world history, but I was terrible at remembering foreign names so I gave up… (´；ω；｀)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Jeanne Kaguya d’Arc

The beautiful blue-eyed blond girl from the village of Donremi on the Western Planet is up for preorder from today!

The mixture of heavy, protective armor and softer dress parts that make up her outfit give such nice contrast!

The shiny appearance of the armor definitely makes it look more metallic and heavy! It’s also painted very intricately! (｀・ω・´)

Her lovely braided hairstyle and blue ribbon look lovely!

Another thing Jeanne has always been rather well known for is her unignorable bust! Even in cute Nendoroid size they are a rather impressive sight! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

A huge variety of arm and leg parts are included for all sorts of poses!

(・∀・) “Her optional parts include this long sword as well as a short sword and scabbard! Just pick the weapon that suits your pose best!”

Using bent legs on the left and right also allows for a kneeling pose like this!

In addition she also comes with hand parts that can be held together in front of her, making this pose a quick and easy task even for someone as clumsy as me!

Today I’m going to be taking to be taking a look at the King of Heroes,

Nendoroid Gilgamesh!

Ooooohhh!!! (*´▽｀*)

Gilgamesh has finally come to take over my desk!!
The very first male Nendoroid from Fate is ready to be officially announced soon!

The most powerful of his Noble Phantasms, ‘Ea, the Sword of Rupture’ is of course included for him to wield!

The attention to detail on the patterns of the sword are amazing! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

Another very special thing about Gilgamesh is of course his golden armor, which has a heavy and metallic look to it… even as a cute Nendoroid

(・∀・) “We worked really hard on the coloring of the armor!”

We’re joined today by the figure’s head planner, Yassan!

(・∀・) “Even though he has golden armor, it’s not so much a ‘sparkly’ gold, but more of a powerful gold. We wanted to ensure that the armor still felt like armor… and wasn’t just gold as a fashion statement.”

Looking close you can also tell that it’s not just the color that’s amazing… the patterns all over the armor are super detailed too! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

(・∀・) “Indeed! You already mentioned above how detailed Ea was, and the armor is no exception. Each and every twist, turn and color change of his armor has been faithfully sculpted! Even if you’re looking from the back… take a look!”

Ooh! The markings and layers are all so lovely! He’s really a work of art!

(・∀・) “But there is still more to look forward to!”

I-Is this what I think it is?! ( ﾟдﾟ )!

(・∀・) “The Gate of Babylon!”

It’s amazing! Even in Nendoroid size the impact is astounding!

(・∀・) “His expressions include the grinning expression you saw above, as well as this angrier, shouting expression which makes the Gate look even more imposing!”

But to truly recreate the epic scene from the series… we need to have the Noble Phantasms coming out from the gate!!

Ta-da!!

(・∀・) “Each and everyone of the weapons has been sculpted differently!”

They’re all different types of weapons as well!
It’s like a cute miniature weapon collection set! ♪

(・∀・) “Each of these weapons also be held just like Ea, so you have a huge variety of posing options!”

Options like this make me so happy! (*´Д`）

(・∀・) “By the way, this is how the Gate of Babylon looks from the back!”

Ah, so each of the weapons are simply pushed through the gate!

(・∀・) “Well, this is still the prototype, so things may still change… but that is the idea we are going for!”

The grinning face captures Gilgamesh’s confidence beautifully, but I really love the shouting face too – it’s the perfect combination of anger and pride in a single expression! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

(・∀・) “As there are a large number of weapons included we decided to only give him two expressions, but I do think they both capture his personality nicely!”

I’ve always been more of a Rin’s hairstyle type with the two sides tied up – personally I prefer this look to the standard twintail look! So let’s get right into today’s review…

Nendoroid Rin Tohsaka!! ♪

Yippie!!

Not only do we have a brand new Fate/stay Night anime coming this Autumn, we also have a Nendoroid of the lovely Rin coming our way! Some of you may already have the twin-tailed cheerleader version of Rin which was released as a part of the Cheerful Japan! project… but this is the very first standard version of Rin to be released as a Nendoroid.

Her impressive outfit has been shrunk down to Nendoroid size in great detail!

Her cute smiling expression is rather cute! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Her soft, flowing hair also looks great! The tied up parts of her hair are also fitted with Nendoroid joints for all sorts of poses! (｀・ω・´)

Every little thing that made the crimson magus who she is has been compressed into cute Nendoroid form! (●´ω｀●)

(・∀・) “But there’s more to Rin than just her cute side!”

Today we’re joined by Yassan from the planning team!

(・∀・) “You need to remember she is also known as the ‘Red Devil’… you can also of course pose that side of her!”

(・∀・) “A combat face is included together with bent legs and even special hand parts holding the magical gems she uses as weapons – combine them all together for an epic battle pose!”

Ooh! She even comes with effect parts!

You can experience the intense feeling of the battles even in Nendoroid size!

I can see this Nendo is going to be a ton of fun!! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

(・∀・) “But that’s still not all! Rin has some other weapons she’s rather well known for!”

Oooh… is this what I think it is?

(・∀・) “Yep! She comes with the Azoth Sword… and also the Jeweled Sword Zelretch!”

The Jeweled Sword Zelretch is tiny, but you can still see the unique texture and appearance of it so nicely! Plus she comes with both left and right hands to hold the swords… giving you all the more options to pose her in! ♡

That also means you can pose her in a dual-wielding pose too! ♪

(・∀・) “Plus… Rin really is one of the most classic tsundere characters, so we wanted to bring out both her cute and serious sides in the figure!”

Yep! The gap between her cute and serious sides is what makes her so special!

(・∀・) “Which is exactly why we included an embarrassed expression!”

Ahh! She’s adorable!! ♡

(・∀・) “It really shows her character nicely! Definitely my personal favorite expression.”

The crossed arms also add to the tsundere look so nicely! I’m afraid I’m going to start hearing her voice in my head…

(・∀・) “There is still more… she also comes with this lovely item!”

Glasses!! (*´Д｀)=з

(・∀・) “This actually wasn’t in out original plans… but when speaking with the publisher they specially requested them to be included. Personally I’m a huge fan of glasses girls myself, so there was no hesitation from my side!”

The publisher themselves wanted to make sure they could pose Glasses-Girl Rin! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

(・∀・) “The glasses are fully removable and can be attached to any expression, so you can use them wherever needed!”

*The detail put into the glasses is fantastic!*

Speaking of Fate/stay night, Nendoroid Gilgamesh was also in the works, right? Can we expect more from the series too?

In most cases I’m terrible at housework and tend to put it off as much as possible… but when it comes to arranging my manga collection, I’ll happily spend some time on it! ♪ <(ﾟεﾟ；)>

That said… if I ever wanted to get married I think I’d have to take lessons in housekeeping first… Speaking of getting married, today we’re going to be taking a look at this beautiful bride!

Nendoroid Saber Bride! ♪

What a beautiful, adorable bride she is! (*´Д`)♡

The details on the veil are impeccable!

The slightly charred color of the very edges are also faithfully preserved, and the flowers atop her veil are also carefully sculpted!

Her weapon, ‘Aestus Estus’ is also included!

You can also pose her in combat poses like so! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The zips all over her wedding dress create a somewhat tight appearance, but still leave it looking soft and flowing! The sideways glancing expression also suits both the outfit and Aestus Estus nicely! ★

Create an even more elegant Saber by posing her pushing up her hair in a pose like this! ♪

That sideways glance… it really grabs my attention!! (*・ω・)

(・∀・) “The three expressions all give for a very different side of Saber Bride!”

(・∀・) “Last time on Saber Extra we included a special CHANxCO face which could be used to create a chibi version of Saber… this time around we have something similar!”

(・∀・) “A ‘wadarco’ face by wadarco himself!”

Ooh!! It’s simply adorable!! （*´▽｀*）

She looks super happy… and the musical note attached to her sticking up hair adds an even more bouncy and playful feeling to the expression! ♪

(・∀・) “It allows you to easily switch between the mature, serious Saber Bride, or instead the more playful, childish version!”

The contrast between the two different looks is rather impressive… it’s almost hard to think they’re the same character. But I’m once again not sure which expression I would use – they both have their own distinctive upsides!

My favorite color is red, and yet I was one of the few people with a yellow bag instead of red bag in school. Although I suppose when I was younger I may have liked yellow more… I was a Shimizu S-Pulse fan after all.

But now I’m much more of a red person, which means I love the colors on today’s review… a product shipping out on the 26th November:

Nendoroid Saber Extra!

Also known as Red Saber! ♡♥♡

This red Saber is from the popular game Fate/EXTRA, and is finally ready to ship out to fans! Along with the wonderful smile above she also comes with a much more serious glaring expression!

Her sword, ‘Aestus Estus’ is included in all it’s glory! ♪

Her outfit is also incredibly detailed! (｀・ω・´)

The skirt even makes use of a slightly transparent material! If you concentrate and look with your mind’s eye, you’ll be able to get a glimpse of what is inside!!

The intricate gold lining along the edges of the sleeves and skirt are also fantastic – they really make the outfit look so extravagant!

Apparently in the game this outfit is used to disguise Saber as a male… with a partially transparent skirt and her rather generous bust I’m not sure I see that working so well! (；・∀・)

Looking though all the Saber Nendoroids of the past, I don’t think her bust has ever been quite as emphasized quite as much as by this outfit!

But that isn’t the only part of her that brings out her sexy side… a look from the back reveals her outfit to have a sexy secret!

Just look at the area around her bottom!! (*´Д`)

That’s right… (/ω・＼)*peek*

You can see quite a lot more than you’d expect!!

I had to control myself to not add any close up pictures… you’ll have to grab her yourself for those! Needless to day you get a rather pleasing view from both the back and front with this particular Nendoroid!

Be sure to take a nice close look if you pick her up for yourself! ♥

Plus there is one more very important expression included with red Saber! A special ‘CHAN x CO’ expression that let’s you recreate chibi Saber! ♪

She suddenly became adorable!! ♡♡

This is the kind of expression I’d love to try on some other characters too…!

She also comes with one other extra part to suit the extravagant outfit!

A Nendoroid-sized Rose! ♪

Note that the rose is connected to one of her hand parts, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have other Nendoroids hold it. Let’s see how it looks with some other characters! ((o(´∀｀)o))

The first Nendoroid I thought of holding a rose was…

Nendoroid Toshiki Kai! ♥

It really does suit him rather well!!

(( ﾟдﾟ) Ah!! I should have posed Kanbaru with the rose! Next time!!)

“Return my rose at once!”

… it looks like Saber is a little angry, and Kai-kun doesn’t look like he’s going to give up the rose! (；´∀｀)

Did you know that there have been 12 different releases of Saber Nendoroids?
She’s probably the second most Nendorofied character after Miku! I decided to run around the offices and collect all the Saber Nendoroids I could find! ♪

Ta-da!

Unfortunately I couldn’t find the Cheerful Ver. or some of the very first Saber Nendoroids… one day I’ll be sure to display them all together! ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ
(I suppose it’s also a little unfair to have Saber Bride in here already… ( -ﾉｪ-))

I’ve been a fan of magical girl shows since the days of Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura! I still remember buying my very first magical girl goods when I was in 6th grade! Speaking of magical girl anime series from this season… we of course have this lovely series!

Fate/kaleid liner: Prisma Illya! ♪

This is a figure released by Phat! back in May, which is actually based on the manga of the series! Phat! will also be releasing this adorable Minicchu of Illya as an extra in the limited edition of the ‘Fate/kaleid liner: Prisma Illya’ 3DS game which is scheduled to release in September!

She’s so cute!!! ヾ(＠°▽°＠)ﾉ

I’m also a huge fan of the Homurabara Academy school uniform, so I hope we get to see her in that too!! The latest episode of the series jumped from elementary school maids into a much more serious discussion and keeps taking such interesting turns! Today I’m going to be introducing a Nendoroid of a character that appeared in episodes 4-6 of the series…

Nendoroid Saber Alter:
Super Movable Edition!

We’ve already had a blue and red Saber…
Now it’s time for the black version!

In Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya she was took on more of a side-role, but today she’s taking the main stage for this review!

Saber Alter is the alternate form of Saber with a much darker side and ominous appearance! The fact that the character who is normally the main heroine has this alternate dark side is somehow really appealing to me! (｀・ω・´)

This is how she looks from the back! ♪

Her jet black armor and skirt have been faithfully sculpted, even from the back!

Plus she is fully articulated!!

The latest in the ‘Edition’ series of Nendoroids, filled with all the hard work and love of Oda-P and Takanon-shi!! ♥

Her mask can be attached and removed whenever you like!

The armor is made with special materials that give it a lovely shiny and metallic look that gleams in the light!

In case you’re wondering, this is how the mask connects onto the hair parts!

The U-shaped part here connects the mask and the hair together. In other words the Nendoroid comes with three parts – the mask, the hair and the U-shaped connector, which all connect together to allow you to pose her wearing the mask!

You can see the design has really been kept clean and simple to make sure that nothing gets in the way of creating your favorite poses!

Vortigern is included to help you recreate even more scenes from the Fate series!

Somehow whenever I look at this pose I can’t help but think of a baseball player having just hit a homerun…! I swear that this it almost an exact copy of one of the release cuts!! I think I managed to copy the pose pretty well! ヽ(´Д｀;≡;´Д｀)丿

But wait! Some of you may remember a Saber Alter Nendoroid in the past!
Well remembered! ヽ(･ω･´(｀･ω･´)ﾉ｀･ω･)ﾉ─ッ!!!

Nendoroid No.13 was in fact ‘Nendoroid Lazy Saber Alter!’

This figure featured on Mikatan Blog back on the 6th November 2007! It was a WonFes exclusive item so many years back!! She was also quite a milestone in the Nendoroid series, as according to my information…

She was the first Nendoroid to be sculpted with 3DCG data!

The original Nendoroid Lazy Saber was sculpted by hand instead, which is why they seemed rather different at the time! :*:・(￣∀￣)・:*:

I have to say I still love looking at the super-relaxed version of Saber! But all this brings up an interesting question… why are we suddenly making a Nendoroid of Saber Alter?! （？△？）

Let’s see if we can find someone to answer that question!

(・∀・) “Why Saber Alter? That ‘s simple! We’re releasing her because ufotable are currently making a brand new Fate/stay night series!

(・∀・) “Based on that we simply had to transform all the Saber’s into Nendoroids!!

Nendoroid Saber Bride was also announced at the last WonFes, wasn’t she?!

(・∀・) “Yep! Gilgamesh was also announced!”

One of the long awaited male Nendoroids from the Fate series!

(・∀・) “He’s not the first though! A lot of people might think so, but Berserker in the Nendoroid Petite Fate/stay Night Extension set was first!”

He was in a Nendoroid Petite set, but still around the same size as a regular Nendoroid due to his size!

But with these Sabers and Gilgamesh all ebing announced… I don’t suppose we can expect to see Rin any time soon? She even appears in the current Fate/kaleid liner after all!

(・∀・) “Hmm. Maybe… just maybe we’ll see if that can be announced at some point. No promises just yet!”
