Today I’m going to take a look at a product currently up for preorder…

Anastasia: LOVE LAIKA Ver.!

“Um… please call me Anya.”

A scale figure of the beautiful half-Japanese half-Russian idol Anastasia dressed up in her ‘LOVE LAIKA’ stage outfit! Her beautiful pale skin, light hair and blue eyes make her look like a beauty from some far away snow country!

Her drifting gaze adds an even more mysterious charm to her that brings the figure together so well!

Speaking of mysterious, the mystique of her outfit is simply amazing! Just look at this paintwork!

The pearl paint gives an almost glowing effect to the outfit which changes depending on the angle you look at it, not to mention the lovely long drape that trails behind her giving her an even more beautiful appearance! ٩(๑òωó๑)۶

Other areas such as the fluffy looking hat and collar, the translucent necklace and even the other accessories on the outfit have all been intricately sculpted!

Another thing to note is that the figure is not attached the the base, so you can take it off and spin it around and enjoy her from absolutely any angle you please! Not to mention you can display her without the stand in some more artistic places if you’d prefer! ♪

Today’s Main Feature…!

Without further ado, today I’m going to be taking a look at Phat! Company’s…

1/7^th Scale Angela Balzac!★ 

Ooooooooooh!!! (´□｀｡)

From the original full CG anime directed by Seiji Mizushima with screenplay by Gen Urobuchi ‘Expelled from Paradise’ comes a lovely 1/7^th scale figure of the DEVA’s system security third officer, Angela Balzac!

The confident smile on her face, an almost too perfect body, a very unique and attractive outfit and those beautiful long twin tails flowing behind her!! They all come together so beautifully!

There are so many different parts of her to look at that my eyes don’t know where to stop! The pose with her down on her knees together with the way to hair flows out to the sides also means the figure has a rather impressive size!

△  The ‘tight’ look around her bottom and hips as well as
the indents behind her knees are a must-see! ♪

I also want to point of the detail on her back!!

The contrast between her soft looking skin and the mechanical suit is such a pleasure to the eyes! ε=(｡・д・｡)

I would definitely leave her on display where you can sometimes get a look at her back! The sculpt is so nicely done!! ★

But speaking of a pleasure to the eyes…

If I had to pick three adjectives here… I’d go with ‘shiny’, ‘tight’ and ‘squishy’! You can really feel the pull of gravity as well!

This shot shows that a low angle is yet another great angle to take a look at her from! Another section that I personally really love would be…

Her belly button!! (/ω＼)

The ever so slight bump of her stomach is also lovely!

Although the area is covered up with the shiny white suit, you can certainly picture the soft skin on the other side with your mind’s eye! Delicious!!

Also take note of the joints of her fingers, or even the fact that you can make out where her nails are through the outfit if you look close enough! Phat! has really spared no details this time around!! You need to sit down and take a nice long look at this figure to really appreciate all the attention to detail! <○><○>

Plus underneath the hands of this Angela you’ll find someone supporting her… someone looking a little troubled!

A datarized version of herself!

The blocky appearance from the series has been recreated perfectly! The body has little lines carved out along it and the hair accessories are made from a semi-transparent material – even this version of Angela is filled with details for fans to enjoy! ♪

By the way, the mini-Angela is not attached to the main figure in anyway, so you can display the two of them separately should you prefer! (・∀・)

Even the reverse side of Data Angela can be seen!

There is also one more part included that wasn’t available while I was taking my photos… but you can see it in the official photos!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at Phat!’s…
Yuriko Nanao: Floating Reading Space Ver.!☆

Oooooohhhhh!!(´□｀｡)

The literature girl from the ‘IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE’ has been made into a very unique 1/8th scale figure by Phat! ♡

Look at the intricate frills on her mint green bikini!!

The swimsuit suits the shy but active young idol very nicely!!

The gentle smile on her face makes her look more grown-up than usual!

The figure is based on the ‘Floating Reading Space Ver.’ illustration, and has done really well in recreating all the details beautifully!! You don’t see many figures in this pose! It’s amazing how much there is to see and enjoy on a figure that is lying on her belly! For example… that little gap of her bottom catches the eye very quickly! ( ・ㅂ・)و ̑̑

Let’s take a look from the right!

The soft and curvaceous shape of her thighs and bottom…!

The way the swimsuit is  digging into her skin at the tie on her back as well as on her bottom is simply delicious! The curves of her body really show off a young woman’s beauty! (●´ω｀●)

Now let’s move onto the left!

The contrast of the loose upper area and tight lower area!!

I don’t think I need to point out her rather bountiful bust and bottom, but personally I really also like her calves! The pull down on the legs that are posed upwards as really been beautifully sculpted!By the way… you’re going to have to wait until she is in your collection before you get to see her belly!★

Next up let’s look at her face…

… this sweet expression!!

It’s so hard to express my thoughts into words!!! I wish I could jump beside her at the pool and enjoy a calm day of reading! I picture myself asking her a question and then her looking up with this expression, brushing her hair from her ear with a “Hmm?”. (I should stop my fantasy here…)

This gentle appearance and charm has been created by the same sculptor behind Phat!’s IDOLM@STER series… Yusuke Masaki! (@masaki56)

I’ve been focusing on her lovely body more than anything else, but also make sure you notice the details of the swimsuit itself, as well as all the little accessories on her arms and neck… no matter what angle you choose to look from she is filled with highlights to enjoy!

Another thing you have to take note of is the detail inside her book!

Each of the pages and the thickness of the book are beautifully done!

You would never have been able to see the second book’s cover in such detail on the original illustration! This is the power of the world of figures!!

However! There is something we still haven’t covered for a figure that has “Floating” in it’s name! The official photos show that she also comes with a pool mattress!

This is currently still in the final stages of development… but a figure sized pool mattress should allow for all sorts of fun!! (You could probably even float other figures like Nendoroids in water…!)

Phat’s Takamatsu (@Phat_stuff) has already shown that two Medicchu’s can float on the mattress at present! He even added a photo on his Twitter:

It also makes use of various translucent parts which suit the tube and overall look of the figure very nicely! The heat of Summer has really started to beat down, but I think that’s all the more reason to enjoy warm Japanese tea! I still enjoy my hot drinks even on the hottest of days! Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Phat! Company’s 1/8th Scale…
Yukiho Hagiwara!

Ooooooooohh! (´□｀｡)

The slightly despondent idol from 765 Production has been sculpted in a lovely dynamic scale figure! ♡

The figure captures the instant that a gust of wind blows across her, blowing the hat from her head! The pose is based on the illustration by director Atsushi Nishigori found on the 2nd volume of the Blu-ray & DVD jacket for the anime series! Also note the way her skirt is blowing about in the sudden gust of wind – the sculpting is meticulous! Even her short bob cut hairstyle is blowing to the side – I can just imagine her voice… “Hou….”

It’s rather hard to express the dynamic feel in words! It just looks so well done like she really is in mid-movement… not to mention it’s a great representation of the original illustration! (ﾉω･､)

Her outfit is actually very simple – just a plain blouse and skirt, but the gradient applied to the skirt and the details in the sculpting create something that is hard to describe as ‘plain’. It looks lovely! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The gradient paintwork just adds to dynamic effect! (/ω＼)

Not to mention that her lovely legs inside the skirt have also been very nicely sculpted too! Definitely a highlight for me…!

The light colors of outfit also have a very refreshing, Summer feeling!

By the way, this marks the 7th figure in Phat!’s IDOLM@STER BD/DVD Jacket Series!

Who will be next Phat-san?! I can’t wait to find out…
But let’s get back to Yukiho for now! (*´Д｀)

Just look at that adorable expression! I want to protect her!! I really wish I could pat her on the head, or put my hand on her cheek…!

Also note the detail on her hat!

The weaved appearance has been preserved so nicely!

It’s so nice to see this amount of detail put into the smaller details of the figure! Also note the cute ribbon! You can really see that the sculptor has put his love into his work!

One more thing I have to show!

Take a closer look at the bag she is holding on her shoulder!

Hmm… Take a look from this angle! 

Even the metal fastener on the inside of the bad has been included! 

Makoto Kikuchi amazed me with the fact that even the inner side of her hoodie has been faithfully included, but Yukiho has kept my expectations up for the series! Be sure to take a nice close look at all the details when you add her to your collection!

Takane Shijou!♪

Her soft, long hair is flowing all around her and the body hailed as one of the best in 765 Production has been sculpted beautifully!! The ‘Silver Queen’ Takane Shijou is here!

Takane is the 5th figure to join Phat! Company’s IDOLM@STER Anime DVD & Blu-ray Jacket Illustration Series! The previous figures in the series can be found here:

But anyway, let’s get back to Takane! ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ

She has her finger to her lips, as if keeping a secret! ε=(｡・д・｡)

The finger and forward gaze really bring out her mature charm!

This is how she looks from the back! ★

Her hair made from translucent parts has two different layers! ♡

The effect on the color created by the two layers really looks magnificent! The slight pink gradient toward the tips is also lovely, and the wavy appearance is recreated so well!  (●´ω｀●)

(・∀・) “Also take note of her outfit!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Takamatsu!

 (・∀・) “Everything from the ribbon and creases on her blouse to the stole gently wrapped around her body have been very carefully sculpted!” 

The way the shoulder straps of her skirt are pushed aside by her breasts is also very effective!

This figure is based on the cover illustration of the 6th volume of the Blu-ray & DVD of the anime, right?

(・∀・) “That’s right! We did make a few little changes here and there to be better suited to a figure, but we kept to the original illustration as best as possible! The sculptor was once again Yusuke Masaki, matching up with all the previous figures!”

The S-shape formed by her hips and beautiful curves that it creates really have been preserved in the figure wonderfully! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

(・∀・) “If you display her with Ganaha Hibiki and compare the sizes, you might notice that the height of the characters has also been faithfully considered!”

Oooooooohhhhh!! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ!

Even though Hibiki is bending over a bit, you can definitely see the difference between their heights!

(・∀・) “In 1/8th scale Takane is about 169cm while Hibiki is 152cm! Displaying them all together really looks great and gives producers an authentic feel for their height!” 

Definitely something I’m happy to see! These were the two characters on the cover of the 6th volume, so it only makes sense to display them together like this! ♪

(・∀・) “Also note the difference in texture between the stockings and leather shoes!”

The shape of the ankle bones that you can just see through the stockings is amazing!! (´□｀。)

Not to mention from the back you get a good look at both her thighs and behind her knees!

(・∀・) “Takane’s outfit is very elegant, giving her a whole different charm to that of the other idols!” 

The combination of the mature pose and the mischievous pose are so effective!

(・∀・) “Just like her beautiful singing voice, the Queen has been sculpted to show off her refined charm! I hope Takane fans around the world will enjoy adding her to their collections!”

It is an item that is filled with love from its planner, Takamatsu-shi (@Phat_stuff)! Apparently he wrote up the draft for the figure’s design almost the same day as the illustration was revealed! That’s what I call dedication! ♡

The figure as a whole creates an amazing atmosphere, but the details of each of the smaller parts of the figure are is where she really shines!  ☆

Just look at the sculpting on those roses!!

Each and every petal on the roses has clearly been attentively worked on to create an amazing appearance! It adds a lovely sense of reality to the outfit 
(・∀・) “Don’t forget about the feathery part behind her skirt!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Takamatsu-shi (Phat)!

(・∀・) “The feathers on the back of her skirt have been made translucent, making the stylish skirt have a slightly lighter appearance!” 

I can just picture her on stage with the lights flashing about! The translucent, shiny look definitely helps out with that image! (σ・∀・)σ

… the crimson light is too bright!!

I can’t see Ranko… (/ω＼)

 (・∀・) “The large effect behind her wasn’t completely drawn in the original illustration, so part of it was made though out own original interpretation!” 

The effect is unbelievably large! Much larger than you’d normally expect on a scale figure! It must have been quite the challenge to include!

(・∀・) “It was… but this was a product that we really wanted to put everything we had into! We couldn’t completely bring out Ranko’s charm if we didn’t pull out all the stops! I wanted to do everything I could to make her special – not only as the planner, but as a fellow producer too!”

It shows too! I can see that love was poured into this figure!

(・∀・) “Ranko’s goth-loli fashion is in full force here! The outfit is filled with frills, ribbons and roses darted all over!” 

Her long stockings covered with rose prints are also delicious! The gather of her outfit around her breast area also really brings out the texture of the fabric really nicely! ♪

The frills of her sleeves are also so very thin! So thin and yet they still look so soft and frilly! (((゜д゜;)))

Even though my mind knows that they are made from a hard material, my eyes can only interpret those frills as fluttering in the wind as a soft fabric! I could spend all day looking at each of these littler frills individually and being impressed with each one! 

But moving away from the lovely soft looking outfit, the sharp and solid looking fence around her back gives some nice contrast! ♪

Compare the sharp fence to the soft looking thighs behind them!

But… what is that mound at the bottom of the mike stand…?!

(・∀・) “You might not be able to see it from the front, but the mike stand is nicely supported by a pile of beautiful purple roses!”

Even though it’s normally hidden from sight… so much extra effort has gone into it!! (*´Д｀)=з

(・∀・) “The mike stand is far too epic to just end without being rested on something equally awesome!”

Every little part has had so much careful thought put into it! She is fun to look at from any angle!! (●´ω｀●)ゞ

(・∀・) “Exactly!! You can remove the fence around her for a closer look if you prefer!”

Ooh! The feathers look amazing from this angle!!

The large ribbon on the back also has a lovely pink rose on the knot! っ(｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

(・∀・) “This area was also never seen on the original illustration, but as there were so many roses on the front we decided she needed at least one on the back too!”

A great decision! d(●´ω｀●)

The outfit makes use of a rather dark palette, which makes the rose stand out all the more beautifully! Such a lovely combination of colors! ♡

Another thing to take note of is just how large Ranko is compared to other 1/8th scale figures!

I decided to measure the diameter of her stand… it comes to 21cm!

(・∀・) “By the way! The other figure in this photo, Mika Jougasaki: Charisma Girl Ver., will be shipping out next month in December!”

Mika herself packs quite a large volume, but even she is slightly smaller when compared to Ranko!!  <○><○>

Anyway, I’ve taken a look at Ranko from all sorts of angles now… but now I want to focus on the areas I like the best!

This is my favourite angle!

A good look at her lovely armpits and all the creases along her outfit! 

But that’s not all by any means… there is just so much to look at at once!! My eyes don’t know where to look first!!

Be sure to take a long, hard look when she arrives in your collection! (｀・ω・´)
