I keep realizing that I have the Otorimonogatari OP ‘Mousou Express’ stuck in my head, and so today I’m going to be taking a look at the ‘Monogatari’ Series Café: Second Season which started today! ♡

Here is my seat for today!

All the heroines from the show are decorating the table beautifully! The two that are covered up in this photo can be seen here! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

With the second season, the characters all seem to have a new set of charms to accompany their characters! I already want to rewatch through the whole second season! ((o(´∀｀)o))

So… what should I order today?

Today I’m joined by a Nendo shipping out from GSC from the 16th January…

Nendoroid Mayoi Hachikuji!

Yep! Once again I’m not alone! I brought a friend to keep me company!
I’m not… alone!! (´；ω；｀)

Anyway, today I’ll be ordering the recommendation of Kimuraya from the café team… the Fringe-Girl Set!

I also decided I needed some dessert, and since Mayoi-chan was with me, I decided it should be the Mayoi Hachikuji (Adult) Purification Plate!

But which drink should I pick…?

Mayoi looks like she wants the ‘Deishu Kaiki’ drink, so I’ll go with that one!

As usual with every order, you will also get your hands on some unique goodies! There are three different placemats, 20 different badges and nine different coasters!

Only after I had ordered did I realize just how cute the Mayoi-chan coaster is!! I was a little upset that I didn’t pick that drink… but I’ll have to come back and get it at a later stage! (｀・ω・´；)

Anyway, while I’m waiting for my food and drink, let’s take a look at what is on display this time around! Starting with the ceiling! ★

Beautiful tapestries line the ceiling, filled with everyone’s favorite characters! ♡

Those two cute loli girls are looking right at me!! (*´Д`)

The inner side walls are filled with scene cuts from each of the different arcs!

 

 

The walls closer to the entrance have the Monogatari series figures on display!

I also heard a birdie say there might be a new Nendoroid on display soon…!
( -ﾉｪ-)Sssh!

But there are also other goodies to see, including all the latest Blu-rays, T-shirts featuring Hajime Ueda’s illustrations! You can even see the full page adverts that were in the Yomiuri newspaper! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Plus the projector on the back wall is playing the promotional videos of each of the Monogatari series! Please note that photos and filming of the video screening is not allowed!

Phew… after wandering around the café…

It seems my ‘Deishu Kaiki’ drink has arrived!

I-It’s certainly an interesting color…! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

At first glace it does look a bit muddy… but the tropical flower and lemon on the top definitely brighten things up a bit!

But how does it taste…?

. .. … …. ….. Delicious! ♪ (o・ω・o)

It has a rather Southern taste to it… kind of a Blue Hawaii cross orange juice taste!

Although it looks muddy, it actually has a clear, refreshing taste! ♪

Ah! My Fringe-Girl Set has also arrived!

This set includes hijiki rice as well as some warm udon noodles! They all taste super good… warming up the body and the mind! ε=(｡・д・｡)

As it includes both rice and noodles… it’s also nice and filling!!

Two dried plums included! I hadn’t eaten these in ages… they were sour, but tasty! Anyway… let me go grab my badges while waiting for my dessert! ☆

For each item you order from the menu, you receive one coin to use in the capsule machine! I ordered three items so I get three badges!

There are a total of twenty different designs! I got these three…

They’re all rather dark!!

I love the close up on the eye!

By the way… the placemat I received with my meal is on display at my work desk right now! ♪

I love those Nadeko’s evil glare at the bottom!! Nom Nom!!

Anyway, let’s get onto the dessert! ★

Puffed grain, candy floss with sugar candy and candy apples! Definitely reminds you of a certain scene from the series… and also gives off a lovely festival-like feeling! ♪

I made sure to give some to my Nendoroid Mayoi-chan too!

I actually think this was the first time I’ve ever eaten a candy apple while not at a festival!

The dessert also includes a coaster featuring the adult Mayoi-chan! The selection of sweet goodies made for a lovely dessert! I recommend it to anyone who visits! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

There are still so many other options on the menu I didn’t get to try today… but I’m sure I’ll be back before the end of the month!

That said, if there does happen to be an opening in the seating when you arrive, the staff will still allow you in! The reservations simply take preference.

You can see when the café will be busy by taking a look at the reservation page. It’s a bit like a beauty salon now! Simply put – if you don’t reserve you might have to wait, but you’re welcome to try! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

The reservation system is new and still undergoing changes, so bear with the café team as they work out the kinks!

When I was in middle school I had kendo classes during PE class! I still remember the first time I was swinging the bamboo sword around… I felt like a kendo master!! I also remember the equipment being really heavy though… ^^;

But anyway, today I went to visit the Infinite Stratos 2 Café currently taking place at the GSC-Tetsujin Café!

I also brought these two along to enjoy the café with me!

Nendoroid Houki Shinonono and Nendoroid Cecilia Alcott – both Nendoroids released by Phat! Company! Another one of the characters was revealed as a prototype the other day… I can’t wait for her official announcement! As soon as I hear more I’ll let everyone know! ((o(´∀｀)o))

Anyway let’s warp ahead into the café! ☆

I was greeted by this lovely table mat featuring all five of the main heroines! As usual there were also a number of tapestries hanging from the ceiling!

The Infinite Stratos side of the café is on the far end of the café space. The area closest to the escalator is still the KanColle Café!

Obviously you can choose which side of the café you want, but you’re also free to look at the displays on either side no matter which you choose! ♪

Along the walls you’ll find a huge set of scene cuts from the most famous scenes of the anime! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

The customer notebook can be found on one of the tables near the center of the café! Be sure to leave your own note if you visit! ☆

Everyone who visits is free to page through and have a look at all the previous notes, as well as leave their own! There are some amazing illustrations inside!

Anyway, let’s order something to eat! It’s a perfect time for lunch so I’ll be ordering the following! ♪

◇ Cecilia’s Handmade Sandwich: This looked too interesting to not try!
◇ Houki’s Japanese Plate:　My love for Japanese sweets couldn’t resists!
◇ Schwarzer Regen: Laura is my favorite character! I had to try this!

By the way, you don’t have to worry about pronouncing ‘Schwarzer Regen’ correctly when ordering!

Kahotan: “I’d like one uh.. Sch..sch…schwaru…”

Kahotan: “Ah, yes. Thanks!”

As usual any orders from the café come with a variety of goodies to take home, including place-mats, coasters and badges! （*´▽｀*）

I really hope I’ll get Laura’s badge when I try my luck later…!!

But for now, my drink and meal have arrived!

It’s blue… it’s really blue!! My sandwich is leaking blue!!

But before I try the blue mayonnaise, I’m going to start with Laura’s ‘Schwarzer Regen’ drink…

It’s delicious!! ♥♡

A mix of cola and lemonade with a cherry! The cherry made me rather happy!

The lemonade tends to sink down to the bottom of the glass a bit, so I recommend a good stir before drinking! Definitely a drink that suits my tastes! ♪

Anyway… time to move onto the blue sandwich!!
Cecilia looks rather excited that I’m trying it…!

Nomnom… ( ﾟдﾟ) Ah!

It tastes like a tasty, normal sandwich! (I mean that in a good way!)
It’s definitely not as… impactive as the Strawberry Oden I tried the other day…

The sandwich also includes cheese, tomato, egg and ham… making it both filling and delicious! ☆

The sandwich also comes with some crispy potato chips! I think the Schwarzer Regen drink goes very well with it! (・ω・*)

After I had finished my meal I called the staff back for them to bring my dessert. While waiting I had a little look around the café…

There was a Laura-styled bike on the stage!

I’ve never been on a bike like this, but after seeing this one I really want to!! I don’t use bikes much, so I think I would rather make my laptop or iPhone into Laura style instead though!

Dessert has arrived!

Two daifuku and three colored dango! Plus some Japanese tea! By some strange twist of fate the dango stick was the same size as Houki’s hand for holding her fencing stick! ♪

Unfortunately it was a bit too heavy for her to hold… (； ･`ω･´)

Anyway, time to eat!!

First off the dango… they were soft and delicious as dango should be!! Drinking Japanese tea and eating dango kind of got me feel like Spring had come early!!

Which daifuku should I eat first… red or white…?

Hey! What’s that Cecilia is holding in her hand?!

The coins to get my badges! I completely forgot!

I ordered three products from the menu which means I get three spins of the capsule machine! ☆

All I wish for is at least one Laura!! Give me on Laura!! (｀・ω・)っ

Yay!!! I got Laura!! She even matches with the coaster I received! ★
I also got Kanzashi and Houki badges to boot… not to mention Houki is wearing a swimsuit… (ΦωΦ)

Getting to work today was certainly no easy task due to the typhoon… I had to stand in a super long queue and it wasn’t even for something nice like goods or to meet a voice actress… it was just to get on the same train I ride to work every weekday!!　(´□｀｡)

Unfortunately the typhoon also delayed the Kan Colle Café an extra day, but it will be up and ready for everyone from tomorrow, the 17th October!

I was lucky enough to be allowed to sneak into the cafe before anyone else… first and foremost I was greeted by the cafe’s mascot, Mamiya-san! Those who visited Hobbyshow last weekend would have seen this on display there as well!

The Kanmidokoro Mamiya cafe features various food and drink based on your favorite Kanmusu! ♪

The drink menu is titled ‘Fuel Menu’…! (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))

The orders of any drinks from the menu will include a coaster featuring the character that the drink is based on!

Ordering any meal will also include a placemat for you to take home! You can also pay a little extra to have both the coaster and placemat laminated to ensure they last much longer! ♪

Enon-shi was just about to have a final taste test of some of the food, so let’s see what he thought of it!

I believe the meal he ordered was the Ryuujou no Takoyaki Meal!

(・∀・) “That’s right! Plus for just ¥100 you can make it a larger ‘Akagi’ sized serving, and for ¥200 you can make it even bigger! I highly recommend it if you’re feeling peckish!”

Did you come up with the menu for the cafe?

(・∀・) “I worked on it together with the planner of Nendoroid Shimakaze, Kyojin as well as some of the other Kan Colle admirals at GSC! It was quite hard as we all wanted to create a menu of the characters we like best… we had a small scale war deciding on what would be used in the end!”

There are two different menus, with only the first one being available for now… but the second also looks delicious! (=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ

I decided to try the Naka-chan set for myself!

It looks absolutely delicious!! (OvO)

… Nom nom nom! The beautiful green jelly is melon flavoured! It tastes just as good as it looks! The white blocks are cuts of a yogurt mousse cake. ☆

I’ve only become an admiral myself recently, but after eating this I want to get Naka-chan on my team as soon as possible! I have to!!

Other meals include a ‘Kitakami Jyuuraisou Green Curry’ with a boat of rice floating in a sea of curry, as well as a ‘Yamato Parfait’ including a cute little umbrella! The full menu details can be found here: http://www.gstjcafe.jp/theme_cafe/2474/

I also bumped into Seiya-shi and Kimuraya who were trying the ‘Kitakami Jyuuraisou Green Curry’! The curry was apparently a lot spicier than expected! I decided to ask them what they liked about the cafe!

(・ω・) “The menu is very entertaining and well-thought out, and the magnets included as extras are great! In order to please as many admirals as possible… there are over 100 different varieties of them!!”

Ooooh!!! This must be the most variety in the history of the cafe!

(・ω・) “Plus we’ll be adding characters who are not yet available at a later stage!”

These magnets can be retrieved with the special coins you’ll receive with any order! Just put the coin in one of the special capsule machines!

(｀・ω・) “The cafe is more than just the menu though! There are all sorts of things on display too!”

(｀・ω・) “The tapestries hanging from the ceiling come in both normal versions and half-damaged versions!”

These are great! It’s fun comparing the back and the front to see the damage!

(｀・ω・) “There are also 6 different table mats to enjoy… you’ll have to just hope that the characters you like are available when you arrive though!”

The mat even looks like the battle board! Where is my Sazanami-chan~?

(｀・ω・) “The ‘Bathtime Collection’ Shimakaze that was on display at Hobbyshow has also moved into the cafe for everyone to enjoy!”

She’s so adorable!!

You really need to see this with your own two eyes! <●><●>

She is still in development and the size is still being altered, but she is definitely something any admirals can look forward to! Other Kan Colle goods (by Aoshima) are also on display! I’ll show just a few of them here!

The one thing that really caught my eye were these ceramic tumblers!!

There are also some cellphone cleaner and charm capsule machines to try at the register!

I also spotted a plastic model from Arpeggio of Blue Steel!

Takao and Maya were also on display! ♪

They’re not Kan Colle, but they definitely both share a naval theme so this little collaboration was created… maybe we can expect more of it in the future!

There were also various other plastic models of ships!
The amount of detail on them is super impressive! ((((；ﾟДﾟ)))))))!

Everything I’ve shown here is only a selection of the goodies on display! I don’t have the time to show everything here on the blog… plus it’s much more amazing to see them all in person, so I highly recommend stopping by the cafe if you can!! (OvO)

Let’s first take a look at one of the tables!

Here you can see the Danganronpa menu (The reverse side has drinks and the badge line-up for the Café!)

Ooh… Monokuma Curry!!

I definitely want to try it, but I’ve already had lunch… let me see what else there is! Hmm… the right-hand side is only available until the 8th September!!!

I love choosing things that are available for a more limited time!
I’ll take one Maizono-san Cupcake!

And for my drink, I’ll go with a… Monokuma Drink!

Not only that, but the tables also feature different table mats!

There are a total of three different mats!!

I managed to get photos of two of the mats, but unfortunately all the tables with the third mat were taken while I was visiting… (ﾉ_-｡)

You probably won’t be able to pick which mat you want, so you just have to hope you’ll get the one with your favorite characters on!!

Now I just need to wait a bit for my food…

Here it comes━━━(ﾟ∀ﾟ)━━━!!!

The cupcake features the ‘dying message’ seen in the series! It was almost too cute to eat, but it didn’t take me long to get over that idea once I tasted it!

The Monokuma drink had a really healthy taste to it! I haven’t had such a milky drink in ages, which made it all the more delicious! ♪

Plus every order from the Danganronpa menu includes little presents to take home! I got a lovely placemat and a Monokuma coaster with my order! ♥

You can also pay a little extra to have the placemat laminated to ensure that it lasts for much longer once you take it home!

But that’s not all… you also receive a badge with any order! It’s completely random which badge you get, so you’ll have to test your luck!

Well, I guess the odds of this are pretty rare… (￣□￣；)

The gods of the capsule machine were not on my side this day… although he does has the same surname as me, so I guess it was fate!!

But anyway, after enjoying your meal and testing your luck on the capsule machine you can enjoy all the goodies on display! First up there are a load of scene cuts from the series!
