Asuna -Knights of the Blood Ver.-

I’m currently trying to decide whether or not to switch from short to long sleeves! It’s starting to feel like autumn is on the way! But it’s always easy to get sick during season changes, so I hope everyone is taking care!

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a product announced today:

Asuna -Knights of the Blood Ver.-!

From the anime ‘Sword Art Online’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of the Knights of the Blood sub-leader, Asuna!

She is posed wearing her guild outfit with a serious expression on her face, as she nimbly dances around the battlefield holding her favorite sword, ‘Lambent Light’. It’s a pose that shows both Asuna’s cute and serious side, for fans to enjoy whenever they please!

She’s beautiful!!! (*´Д`)

Her long, flowing hair!


Her dynamic skirt!


Her fluttering cape!


She’s beautiful no matter what angle you look from…
… and she’s right here with me!!!

The pose has an amazingly dynamic feeling which works really well with her outfit to create a wonderful, elegant pose! The details on Lambent Light are also fantastic!

One of my personal favorite areas… her hip area!


I could stare at this forever…! ε=(｡・д・｡)

(・∀・) “Isn’t she nice! Isn’t she pretty! ♪”

The head planner of Asuna, Yuri-chan Honpo has come to stare with me!

(・∀・) “The theme of this figure was to create a figure that stands at the boundary of the 2D and 3D world, showing the beauty from both! (｀・ω・´)”

Yuri-chan was also the head planner for all the other SAO figures as well as other figures like the scale and Nendoroid figures of Kuroyukihime!

(・∀・) “Yep! Nendoroids have a kind of built-in cuteness factor from their chibiness, but scale figures need to bring out the personality and atmosphere of the character completely!”

I think the scale of Kuroyukihime is a good example of that! It preserves her elegant, gentle apperance… and also has a bit of a sexy side!

(・∀・) “Scale figures allow us to focus on the details, which you can really see by looking at Asuna’s outfit!”

The collar and shoulder areas are beautiful… (*´Д`)
The manufacturing team are in for some tough work…

(・∀・) “She’s a scale figure which means she’s not posable, but that allowed us to focus on getting the pose perfect! For those who don’t know, the pose is from the cover illustration of the first light novel! The bottom half of her wasn’t in the illustration so we had to experiment a bit to find some legs that suited the pose!

(・∀・) “The twist in the hips and overall balance of the figure required lots of discussion and testing.”

That’s just one of the challenges of turning 2D into 3D!

(・∀・) “Yep, but I’m a huge fan of Asuna myself, so it was great to see her slowly but surely take shape! ♪”

The figure is filled with Yuri-chan’s love! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

If you were to select your favorite part of the figure, what would it be?

(・∀・) Her armpits!!!”

(・∀・) “The little indents and the way the shadows fall around them just look so perfect!”

The body line down from the armpits to the hips is also lovely! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

(・∀・) “The pose lets you enjoy both armpits, so if you have that little fetish like me, you’re bound to love this figure!”

Nendoroid Kuroko Shirai

Onee-sama!!! ♥♡♥


Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan) Sorry for the abrupt start, but I wanted to jump into today’s review as fast as possible!

Nendoroid Kuroko Shirai! ♪

From the popular anime series ‘Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S’ comes a Nendoroid of the teleporting member of Judgement, Kuroko Shirai! She comes with various optional parts such as handcuffs and her schoolbag including her iron arrow holster – allowing for a selection of poses from everyday scenes to combat scenes!

She even comes with an ‘Onee-sama~♡’ expression as well as some Gekota panties to show just how much she loves Mikoto! Be sure to display her with the previously announced Nendoroid Mikoto Misaka and recreate your favorite scenes from the series!

The next Nendoroid from the ‘Toaru’ series is none other than the Tokiwadai Middle School Judgement member!! She can even take her signature ‘Judgement Desu no!” pose as a Nendoroid!!

The emblem on her armband looks just like it did in the series!! (｀・ω・´)

She also comes with her schoolbag and iron arrow holster, letting you pose her ready to jump into combat! ☆


Even from above the detail on the parts is amazing! ε=(｡・д・｡)


She also comes with some handcuffs to ‘arrest’ Mikoto when needed! ★


Plus as I’m sure you’ve noticed, her lovely twintails are articulated!


Each section of hair can also move up and down separately! (｀・ω・´)

This means you can spin the whole twintail around as well as position each part on it’s own! This creates so many posing possibilities!! ♡

But with all that aside… I should probably return to the photo that started this blog now! I’m sure you’ve all been waiting for it…

(・∀・) “We wanted to somehow show Kuroko’s love for Mikoto in some kind of physical way… eventually we decided on this!”

(・∀・) “I’m sure everyone knows! The famous ‘Stripping Woman’ episode in season one! If you use them together with a serious expression it makes for an even closer representation of the episode!”

( ・ω・) “Making panties was actually rather fun!”

( ・ω・) “Even though they’re rather small, I still took care in making sure the creases in the fabric looked right!”

I have to add that having a photo of just the panties is rather strange! ((＞д＜))

( ・ω・) “Ah, and I shouldn’t really tell anyone this… but the width is actually makes it possible to attach the panties in HK style too…”

( ・ω・) “The double articulated twintails you showed earlier was actually a little extra I thought up! It makes it really easy to make more dynamic poses suited for Kuroko’s teleporting nature! They’re actually a lot of fun to move around!”

The ability to create a feeling of movement in a figure is always a lot of fun! ♪

(・∀・) “Ooh!! There is one more thing I should mention about the panties!”

O-OK…? ? (^▽^;)　.　。０(How many times has that word popped up now?)

(・∀・) “Some of you may have already noticed but the Gekota mark on the panties is actually a separate sticker!”

Ah… now that you mention it!!

They can work with any characters!

Nendoroid Chris Yukine

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I remember back in my university days I once tried mixing anko (red bean jam) and milk together… it ended up with me feeling very sick… but I still love them both to this day!

Today I’ll be introducing a a character who shares my love for anko…

Nendoroid Chris Yukine! ♪

From the popular anime series with a second season underway, ‘Senki Zesshou Symphogear’ comes a Nendoroid of Chris Yukine, the owner of Ichaival, the Second Relic Symphogear. She comes with three expressions including a smiling expression, shouting expression and swansong expression.

She also comes with a huge number of powerful weapons including the ‘BILLION MAIDEN’ Gatling Cannon, the ‘CUT IN CUT OUT’ miniature missile launcher, the ‘MEGA DEATH QUARTET’ large missile launcher and even the laser cannons seen during her swansong!

The second season is already building up to a climax now, but the Nendoroids are based on the Symphogear Systems from the first season!

The photo below recreates the pose from the character album CD cover! ☆

Here is how she looks from the back! ♪


She has a rather petite build… but some rather impressive assets!! ＜●＞＜●＞ｶｯ

They were always most noticeable during her transformation scene… 😛

The contrast between her mechanical parts and skin bits is lovely! And speaking of mechanical bits…!

She comes with various huge weapons!!!
Including the previously mentioned assets!

First up…
The BILLION MAIDEN Gatling Gun! ★


Just look at that firepower!! Four sets of three barrel Gatling cannons plus removable effect parts to display her shooting!! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

Next up we have the…
CUT IN CUT OUT Miniature Missile Launcher! ★


The heat-seeking missiles also comes with smoke effect parts to truly appear as if they are firing in mid-combat! ♪


But there are more missiles to come with the…
MEGA DEATH QUARTET Large Missile Launcher! ★

Even in Nendoroid size the missiles look gigantic!!

Plus, just as with the previous girls, a Noise is also included!

Looking at all these optional parts together…
They’re all so impressive!!

Let’s see if we can get a word with the planning team to see why they decided to add so many amazing parts!

(・∀・) “Honestly it was hard to include all these weapons… but we just couldn’t resist!!”

They’re amazing though! There’s no other way to explain them!

(・∀・) “We were hoping to recreate Chris’ many attacks as accurately as possible!”

All these futuristic weapons must have been a lot of work to create! (´□｀｡)

(・∀・) “They were a lot of work! But Chris is actually the first Nendoroid in the Symphogear series to be made using 3D sculpting! Robotic, angular things like the weapons work really well with 3D sculpts!”

Hmm, I think we need a word with the sculptor too!

*Sculptor Summon: Shinya Iguchi*

( ・ω・) “There are indeed a lot of weapons included with her, but that’s not to say that the Nendoroid itself should be overlooked! There are very intricate parts to her outfit around her head, hips and even legs! We made sure to balance those parts of her carefully too!”

I was so scared I was going to lose some of the intricate little parts while taking photos…!

( ・ω・) “Ah! Don’t you dare lose any!” *laughs*
“The weapons required a lot more consideration than you might think. We needed to consider which weapons would still look good in Nendoroid size, as well as ensure that the parts could be easily mass produced!”

I guess it’s not always easy to shrink down to shrink things down to chibi size!

( ・ω・) “Sometimes I think we should have made the Nendoroids double the size they are so we could do more with them! But at the same time I just don’t think they’d be the same then!”

What do the two of you like most about this Nendo?

(・∀・) “I’d like to emphasize the swansong expression and laser cannon!”

It’s a little bit calmer than Hibiki’s frenzied face and Tsubasa’s swansong expressions! ^^;

(・∀・) “This is based on the scene where Chris protects Hibiki and Tsubasa in season one! She looks more relaxed as she knows she’s gained new friends in the two of them!”

The reverse side of her outfit has also transformed!! (・∀・)!!

Although quite small, little sliding parts are included for this pose!


For those of you who haven’t seen Hibiki’s frenzied face and Tsubasa’s swansong expression… here you are! ☆


( ・ω・) “Weirdly, I actually really like displaying her in a more gentle pose, without any of the weapons. Even without the weapons she has been made to be able to take amazingly cute poses!

1/7th Scale Lucy

Today I’m going to be taking a look at a figure scheduled to ship out from GSC on the 11th September…

Lucy! ♪


She’s the beautiful celestial mage from the popular anime and manga series, FAIRY TAIL! The pose comes directly from the cover illustration of the 9th volume of the manga!


The key in her right hand has been faithfully sculpted, and can be attached and removed whenever you wish!


But that also means you need to be careful not to lose it! ><
I’ve dropped it under my desk at least three times already…

And just look at her from above! She has such a perfect body!!

What a sight!! (*´Д`)

Even from the side her chest is impressive but from this angle… (；・∀・)


Phew! Now you can’t see too much! Thanks wooser! For future reference, a wooser stuck onto a thin brass wire makes for a very useful panties blocker! ☆

Ah! We have a guest! Today we’re joined by Yuri-chan Honpo from the planning team! Let’s see what she has to say about this figure!

(・∀・) “One of my personal favorite points is her belly button!! Plus the stomach area around and above it!”

I can see that! The paintwork on the shoes and bags looks magnificent!

So even the original author approves of this rather sexy Lucy…! (ﾟＡﾟ;)

The GSC-Tetsujin Cafe will be at Kyomaf!

Halloween has come early!!


Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

When I arrived at the office entrance today, I was met with some rather early Halloween decorations!

I’ve always been a fan of going to Disneyland during the Halloween season, I wonder if I can make it this time… ー(ΦωΦ)ﾌﾌﾌ…

But that aside, today I’ll be taking a more detailed look at an event that starts tomorrow…

The Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2013


Event Details: Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2013 Official Site

The largest anime and manga event in Western Japan! There will be various goods on sale, cast talk shows and concerts from various series and even business-related discussions at the event! There will also be smaller events going on all around the event hall as well! (ΦωΦ)

Personally the Magic Knight Rayearth and Card Captor Sakura screening sessions are calling out to me!!

Plus, GSC will be joining the event as the GSC-Tetsujin Cafe! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

The lovely drinks modeled off each character’s soul gems will be on sale! ♪


The pink Kyubey curry and a lovely Madoka dessert will also be available!

Lat week’s episode made me fall in love with Kaisei even more than ever before! This week’s episode is titled ‘The Secret Ways of Ebisugawa Soun’ – I can’t wait! ♥♡♥

Along with a stage event based around the series, there will also be various goods from the series on sale! There is even a T-shirt that fans are sure to fall in love with… you can find more details over on the Kyomaf Official Goods Page or the uchoten-kazoku Official Site.

I’m sure those of you who have visited or live in Kyoto will know, but the degree to which the series recreates the appearance and atmosphere of Kyoto is simply fantastic! I actually used the shopping street near Akadama-sensei’s home all the time while I was in university! You really could get hold of almost anything there, and there was a delicious confectionery store just at the entrance! ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

The place where the mother was playing billiards is actually a cafe, but it still gave me such a nostalgic feeling to see it all in the anime! It was captured so nicely!

1/8th Scale Racing Miku 2012 ver.

The other day when I was at Magical Mirai 2013, I met the lovely race queens of the GSR team! ♡

They’re wearing the 2013 ver. Racing Miku outfit, but there is of course another race queen in the 2012 outfit who is scheduled to start shipping out from GSC on the 11th September!

1/8th Scale Racing Miku 2012 ver.! ♪

‘GSR&Studie with TeamUKYO’ is a racing team that took part in the 2012 season SUPER GT300. The official mascot of the team, ‘Racing Miku’ was designed by GAN, and has now been transformed into a 1/8th scale figure for fans to enjoy! It’s a figure filled with highlights such as her unique transparent costume, detailed paintwork throughout the figure, and the dynamic sculpting of her hair!

She’s so adorable!! ♡♥♡

I personally love her shiny looking eyes!

Her long, flowing twin tails are also beautiful!


The figure makes use of very soft, pastel colors which give her a very gentle appearance! The box also makes use of similar light colors! ー(*´Д`)


The curves from her bottom up her back are lovely!!

Although she has quite a childish expression, her slender build together with the twisting of the body and outfit make for a very sexy looking side to the figure as well!

She truly is the songstress of the racing circuit!

Madoka Kaname: Maiko Ver.

Kyoto is like a second home to me, as when I was in university I lived alone there! It’s so easy to go out and have fun in Kyoto in ways that Tokyo just doesn’t understand!

Today I’ll be taking a look at a figure filled with that lovely Kyoto atmosphere…

Madoka Kaname: Maiko Ver.

From ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a 1/8th scale figure of Madoka Kaname as a maiko – based on the illustration seen on the pre-sale tickets for the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair! The figure is a faithful rendition of the original illustration, with both the outfit, Japanese umbrella and autumn colors coming together to bring out the atmosphere of Kyoto perfectly!

The details on her hair accessories and the beautiful pattern on her kimono have all been carefully sculpted in a cute, playful pose for fans to enjoy!

Her light blue kimono is simply beautiful! (●´ェ｀●)ﾎﾟｯ

She is posed elegantly holding up part of her kimono, which reveals some contrasting red cloth by her feet! We have previously seen the Nendoroid version of this elegant Madoka sold at overseas events, and now fans can add the scale version to their collections too! ♥

The long orange sash flows beautifully at the back!

That neck… look at her beautiful neck!!


A slightly different angle of the lovely neck!

The purple hair accessories also match up with Madocchi’s pink hair so nicely!

I really like this angle, as it’s just the right angle for me to picture her gently twisting her head toward me with a gentle “Hmm?”, if I called out to her!

The cute stars on her sash clip are also lovely! (｡・д・｡)
The smallest of details are always so beautiful on kimono figures!

As you can see, the umbrella can be removed!

Even the underside of the umbrella is incredibly detailed! ★

Her feet also look fantastic!


The base has a lovely autumn feeling! ー(｡-_-｡)♡

The geta sandals are also very suited to the season and to a Maiko! It all comes together to create such a beautiful outfit!

Kimonos truly are the best!!

The Miyako Messe is very close to the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art! I remember going to that museum for both class and my personal hobbies a number of times, it’s an amazing place to visit! The ‘Takeuchi Seiho’s Modern-Day Japanese Paintworks’ that are currently on display in Tokyo are also going to be at that museum from October – the 80th anniversary display for the museum!

Art Museums are filled with interesting things to see and learn, and I highly recommend taking a look if you get the chance! Although I haven’t been able to go to many myself recently… hopefully I can find some time to see Takeuchi Seiho’s work! |дﾟ)ﾁﾗｯ

Nendoroid Shinku: Rozen Maiden Set

We’ve finally moved into the time of year where things start to cool down and you start wanting to drink some nice warm drinks again…

… and on that note, let’s sit down for a cup of tea!

That’s right! Today I’ll be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Shinku: Rozen Maiden Set! ♥

From the anime series ‘Rozen Maiden’ comes a Nendoroid of the fifth Rozen Maiden, Shinku! She comes with three expressions including a cute doll face, a face with closed eyes and an upset glaring face. She also comes with her wind-up key and doll case creating a complete doll set for fans to enjoy!

Other optional parts include a teacup and saucer allowing you to pose her enjoying her beloved tea, and even some ‘Rosetail’ effects to display her in combat! Bring your very own Shinku home and enjoy her in whichever pose you think suits her best!

The seventh and third dolls have now shown up and I can’t wait to find out what will happen in the anime next!! I love the atmosphere of the series so much! (ΦωΦ)

Nendoroid Shinku matches up with that atmosphere beautifully, and she’s also super adorable!!

Isn’t she lovely! The proud fifth doll! Whilst she definitely is a Nendoroid, she also keeps a certain doll-like appearance to her which is great!


All the smallest details of her outfit have been faithfully shrunk down into Nendoroid size! Although I’m sure all those tiny black frills are going to cause quite a headache for the manufacturing team! (;´ω｀)ノ

Plus her twirly twin-tails are perfect! ♥

The ribbon and rose in the center of her outfit and the twirls on the front of her hair are also all beautifully sculpted! ☆


I’m fairly certain all that twisty hair will also be quite difficult when manufacturing starts… but let’s check what an expert has to say on the matter! Today I’m joined by Kamatani from the manufacturing team!

“My waifu Shinku’s twirly hair is an important part of her character, so I’ll ensure it comes out perfectly–(｀・ω・´)!!”

It would seem I have nothing to worry about! ( 。´∀｀。)

“Ho-How is the tea today, my lady?”

I had the strange urge to pose her in a saucer and it ended up looking rather cute! (*´Д`)ﾊｧﾊｧ　(The large saucer isn’t included with the figure!)

Plus her ‘Rosetail’ attack effect parts are included allowing you to create combat scenes too!!

Something like this! ♪

But there are still many other lovely optional parts…!


The Rozen Maiden Doll Case! ♥


The case is very memorable even just from the opening theme! By the way… the head planner for this figure, who insisted that this part be included with Shinku no matter what is…

I’ve always adored Shinku’s ‘waking-up’ scene, so this had to be included to help create that pose! Can you imagine being Jun and opening up a case to find this beautiful doll inside? I think I’d scream in delight!


She also comes with her wind-up key!


Wind her up once you’ve taken her out of the doll case…


…and then make use of this adorable upset face to recreate the famous scene from the series!


I made sure to get some advice on which expressions to use from Kamatani, as I know he has to be the biggest Rozen Maiden fan in the offices! At one point there was also a smiling expression, shouting expression and an dumbstruck expression… but unfortunately they couldn’t all be kept for the final version… so we had to pick the best ones!

In the end, due to the fact that the doll case was included, we eventually settled on adding this expression to match up with the case and waking-up scene! Personally I’m super happy with how it came out! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Now I get to be Shinku’s slave whenever I like! ^^

Rozen Maiden: Träumend was the series that introduced me to ALI PROJECT. I still remember that at that time I was always singing ‘Seishoujo Ryouiki’ at karaoke, setting my alarm to ‘Ashura-hime’ and listening to ‘Boukoku Kakusei Catharsis’ everyday on the way to school!
